Waching daily Apr 28 2017

Hi, we are Hit the Road !

Clément, Paul, Nico !

Today we need you for our next project, EXPLORE

EXPLORE is a series about URBEX and PARKOUR.

It's 10 episodes of 52 minutes each shot across the world to explore never seen and abandoned places.

We reach unacessible and unseen places with our parkour, climbing, and survival skills.

The first episode dive into the coldwar era, with ionospheric radar, NATO secret bases, and tank factories.

We had the idea behind the series after our trip to Chernobyl.

We realised that there was a big gap between what we filmed and what we lived.

And our logbook tells so, we lived there incredible adventures !

From the bear attack, wolf packs, to playing hide and seek with guards,

we even had to jump from the second floor of a building to escape a patrol.

We want to put focus on those moments, because they're for us the most intense in an expedition.

Previous videos were featuring 10% of it !

We want to bring you with us to live the next one, at the closest to the action with a really immersive and extreme experience.

Those 52 minutes episodes are half way to the adventures of Mike Horn and Bear Grylls, but here the way to overcome obstacles is Parkour.

And we want to do so with the next level cinematography, never seen before in the urbex wolrd.

Today we really need you to get involved in the project, because we can't pay everything on our own.

After investing 20 000 € in the project on video and expedition gear, we are 10 000 € short for the first episode to be as amazing as we imagined it.

Crowdfunding is our only way to this day to stay creatively free with only having the objective of making an amazing series !

Moreover we propose superb counterparts !

Name in the credits, 4K version of the episode, an acess to a secret group updated day by day with livestreams and exclusive content of the shoot.

It's a real opportunity to interact with us in the creation phase.

But also invitations to the grand première, to our exhibition, and photo prints. For those who can't affort it, even sharing it and spreading the word around you get us closer to our goal !

For those who just discovered us, you have tons of crazy adventures to watch on our youtube channel !

We're counting on you ! It's our last chance after 2 years in the making !

Get involved ! :)

Why Does My DOG Want to Eat GRASS All of a Sudden? - Duration: 2:01.

Why Does My Dog Want To Eat Grass All Of A Sudden?

No matter what the real reason is, you can rest assured that grass eating is a common

behavior of normal, healthy dogs.

If your dog seems sick or vomits more than occasionally you should see a veterinarian.

So why do they do it?

The truth is, animal scientists aren't exactly sure.

But, we have theories.

Let's Get Started.

But before we start, take a moment to subscribe for more fun, fauna facts.

It's a commonly held belief that dogs eat grass when they feel nauseated.

But studies have shown that only 8% of dogs that eat grass show any signs of illness and

only 22% of them vomit afterward.

Of those that did throw up, the majority showed signs of sickness prior to eating grass.

A study by Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine suggests that like their wild ancestors,

dogs may instinctively ingest grass to increase bowel mobility.

These studies suggest that wild dogs would have eaten prey with plant matter in their

bowels.

Since they evolved to eat plant matter, they likely have an appetite for plant matter.

At the end of the day, it might be just because they like it.

Remember, dogs enjoy all sorts of things that disgust the human palate—dirty diaper or

gristle from the trash can, anyone?

Most experts say that letting your dog eat grass poses no real risk to your dog.

But, do try to keep your dog from ingesting freshly fertilized or grass that has been

treated for pests.

If your dog just enjoys grass, you can introduce cooked veggies into his diet.

Remember, if you are concerned, a trip to the vet is always a wise precaution.

BH4U | 5 Signs Of Nutrient Deficiency You Can See On Your Face - Duration: 3:28.

5 Signs Of Nutrient Deficiency You Can See On Your Face

Vitamin deficiencies lead to numerous serious health issues, and even death.

When the body lacks a nutrient, its entire structure is damaged, and all functions are

somehow imbalanced.

Vitamin A deficiency has killed over 8 million children in the last 12 years, and more than

a billion people lack vitamin D, which is even considered to be an epidemic issue.

The imbalance in the body is often shown externally, so you might experience numerous skin issues.

These are the 5 most common signs shown on the face which indicate vitamin and mineral

deficiencies:

1.

Bleeding Gums The deficiency of vitamin C often leads to

bleeding gums, as well as nose bleeds and swollen joints.

Our body does not produce nor store this vitamin, so you should consume it through your diet.

You should consume: Guava, broccoli, red peppers, rose hips, kiwi fruit, and strawberries.

2.

Pale Lips Pale lips are a common symptom of iron deficiency,

which is the most common nutritional deficiency in the U.S., as reported by the Centers for

Disease Control (CDC).

Numerous people suffer from anemia and fatigue due to the lack of iron in the body.

You should consume Spirulina, spinach, raisins, lentils, dark chocolate (Cacao!), dark green

leafy vegetables.

3.

Extremely Pale Skin If your skin is extremely pale, your body

probably lacks vitamin B12.

Other symptoms of this deficiency include skin conditions and fatigue.

Animal foods are high in Vitamin B12, but you can also take vitamin B12 supplements.

You should consume Vitamin B12 supplements, pastured eggs and/or raw rennet-free cheeses,

cruelty-free goat's cheese.

4.

Puffy Eyes Puffy eyes sometimes indicate insufficient

sleep but reduced also reduced iodine levels as well.

You should avoid or limit the intake of table salt, as it is not easily used by the body.

Iodine will help push out endocrine disruptors, such as bromine, fluorine, chlorine, and will

boost the function of the thyroid, reducing the puffiness.

You should consume Washed sea vegetables, such as kelp, dulse, and wakame, pastured

eggs, kefir, and beans, such as navy and lima.

5.

Dry Hair If your hair has become brittle and dry, and

you have too much dandruff on the scalp, you might lack Biotin or Vitamin B7, which might

be a result of the use of antibiotics.

You should consume Nuts, especially green peas, walnuts, sunflower seeds, legumes, avocados,

and mushrooms.

How To Increase Your Productivity - Duration: 4:37.

How can I increase my productivity? Man,

I have asked myself this question many

times through the years. I'm Kris Krohn

with REITV. And today, I'm going to be

sharing with you the number one thing

that you can do to take your

productivity through the roof.

You want to increase your productivity,

you got to learn how to harness your

focus. We have never lived in a greater

shiny object society than the one right

now. We can hardly have emails and videos

keeping our attention longer than a

couple of seconds before our mind is

pulled in some other direction.

Right now, I have got a personal belief that I've

got the ability to have one major focus

in business. Not two, not three, not five,

not twenty. There's a lot of people

that if they had to read ten books, they

would try to read a chapter in each of

the ten books. Not me. I'll get all ten

done, but I'm going to focus on one book

and I'm going to get it off the shelf.

I'm going to do the next book and I'm

going to get it off the shelf. If you

want to increase your productivity look

at how you do focus. Are you dedicating

enough time to that? Now, focus will show

up in two different places in your life

it'll show up in your pocketbook and

also show up in your calendar. So, for

example, if there's a project that you're

getting behind on or you don't feel

productive in then just for a moment

look first at your calendar. How much

time are you dedicating to it? Number two

look at your wallet. If you're not

getting the results that you want have

you paid for adequate mentoring or have

you paid for the adequate team or have

you applied the adequate resources that

focus demands to get the result that you

want in something. Focus is something

that we're missing most of today more

than anything else and I think this next

bonus is really going to help you learn

how to hyper-focus.

So, I'm going to share

with you two of my favorite words that

will be the control valve on whether you

are actually increasing or decreasing

your productivity. This is going to seem

a little counterintuitive but the first

word that I want to share with you is

yes. Y-E, yes. And this is a word that you

need to start using if you want to

create the chaos of abundance. That means

bringing opportunities into your life

most of us are not trying to be

opportunistic so we're skeptical we're

analyzing more processing we're so busy

we don't realize that the most

successful people on the planet are

successful decision-makers. Most people

don't get the you want to make a million

dollars then you need to make hundreds

of daily decisions and most human beings

only making a couple at best we're too

busy paralyzed not paralysis by anlysist

and so yes is what's going to

put opportunities in your way and for

heaven sake's use your sniff test and say

yes to the right things. But then, if you

want to really dial it up and take all

of this chaos and form it into something

that is meaningful, useful, and effective,

if you want your part due to go through

the roof then you're going to need to

come through all of that yes chaos and

use this other favorite word of mine, no.

Yes puts opportunities in front of you

and no is how you put the right

opportunities in front of you but you

need to do them in that order I want you

to know what it's like that our plate

full yes to this opportunity, yes to that

MLM, yes to this real estate deal, yes to

this book, yes to this club. Ah! Man, I feel

out of balance because I've said yes to

so many things but at least you're

exposed to opportunities and now you get

to trial and play with and start

realizing okay I've tried, I've said yes

to so many things and I've so many

opportunities in my awareness that now I

found some of the gold nuggets im gonna play

with it. Now, I'm going to use no, to create my

intentional tunnel vision so that I can

get the power of my focus grooving and

rocking in the direction that I need to go.

You've been hearing these two words

your entire life, "yes" and "no" but use the

right way they become magic. So pick up

your magic wand and start waving your

hand by first creating chaos with yes,

yes, yes, yes, yes and then when you have

enough opportunity in front of you, start

waving that same magic wand to

positively say no, no, no, and keep the

things that are going to get you where

you want to be. Yes and no are all about

managing the magic of the chaos of

abundance and learning how to organize it

How I Accepted Myself | My Coming Out Story #1 - Duration: 11:01.

Whatsupp everyone! My name is Jens and welcome.

Something I haven't really shared on this channel is that I am gay.

The reason why I haven't mentioned it before is that I don't consider it as something that defines me.

It is just one aspect of many that form who I am.

Getting to this mindset wasn't really easy and that the story I want to share with you guys right now.

Something that helped me a lot in my process is watching YouTube video's of people telling their coming out story.

This is kind of a way for me to give back to that community, I guess.

It was always a story I wanted to share on YouTube.

It all started when I was about 13 years old.

Like most testosteron driven teenage boys, I watched p*rn on the internet every now and then.

One time I saw the gay section on such a website. I was curious.

So I took a look at it and I wasn't repulsed like most teenage boys would be. I kind of liked what I saw.

Doing that went on for years and years. In my head I didn't really think much of it.

I said to myself that this was a phase and I'm not gay. That it would pass by.

I didn't want to be gay. I just kept ignoring it.

This was something absolutly nobody knew about me. It was something I kept hidden from everybody.

from friends & family. The only person that knew was me and only me.

I did often feel guilty for watching that kind of stuff because I didn't feel gay. In my head I said that it was all a phase.

I thought it was because I hadn't been with a girl yet.. sexually.

Even in high school I kept it a secret.

But in high school, I started to find other guys at my school or ouside of my school attractive.

I didn't look at the "hot" girl everybody was looking at, I was looking at the guy standing behind her.

I remember that I often stared at this one guy I kind of had a crush on.

I was always scared that people would notice if I was looking at him and ask why I was staring at that guy.

There was always this fear that somebody would notice that I was attracted to other guys.

It kind of became harder to ignore it. Like I was doing before.

I kept pushing it of as a phase and it would pass. There was nothing wrong, I am straight and it all would go away if I had a serious girldfriend.

At this point it wasn't really that hard to hide it from the outside world because I was hiding it on the inside.

Once I went to college, it felt like I entered a new different world.

Because kind at highschool are very closed minded while College people are more open minded and more accepting.

Still I was not admitting to myself that I was attracted to other guys.

In my first year of college, I made a lot of new friends and I even got a girlfriend.

I didn't really have feelings for her but I thought that she would get me out of that phase.

Eventhough that phase was already going on for 6 years.

Like some would say, she was kind of my beard.

I also had my first se ual experience with her, but it didn't feel right to me.

I didn't feel comfortable with it.

I remember that when we were intimate, that I would think back on the video's I saw earlier online.

After a few months I broke up with her because it didn't feel right to me. I said I didn't have feeling for her anymore.

I didn't tell her that I was stuggling with my sexuality bacause I wasn't ready for it.

Then I decided that I needed to figure this mess out before moving forward.

That time was one of the most confusing times of my life.

I was doubting if I was gay, if I was straight.

I felt alone and lost.

Somewhere inside, i knew that I was gay but I didn't feel gay, that's why I doubted everything about myself.

Everytime i was with other people, I just put on a mask (figuratively) and act like there was nothing wrong.

Everytime I was alone, I was sad and stressed out, bacause it was constantly on my mind.

I started to eat less, I started to sleep very badly, sometimes I stayed up all night. I was tired all the time.

I kept hiding it from eveybody.

On the other hand I was happy when I was alone. Because i could be my true self when I was alone.

So I did what a lot of other young people would do when they are looking for an answer. I turned to YouTube.

I started watching a lot of coming out stories of other people. some of these stories really helped me in my stuggle of figuring out.

Because of other people's stories, I could figure stuff out in my own life.

It was also during this time that one of my best friends came out to me.

I remember it was just me and one of my best friends. We always met up at this local park in our town.

We just sat there and talked for hours and hours. We talked about school, parents, love life, ...

Once she just said to me that she had been in a relationship with a woman for a while.

I was suprised but I said: "cool, that's awesome for you!"

I kind of wanted to tell her that I was stuggling with my sexuality, but I wasn't ready to tell anybody.

So I just shut up and acted like there was nothing wrong.

I remember this one day, I was listerning to some music. And it was this one song play and this lyric just spoke to me.

It were these 5 words that made me realize that I need to accept myself first.

The words were: PRESS PLAY, DON'T PRESS PAUSE.

It from the song "one love" by macklemore. I know it is quite cliche. But those words really spoke to me.

They told me I needed to move along and not just stand still and doubt everything.

I needed to press play and get on with my life instead of putting it on hold to figure stuff out.

It was because of that thought that I knew I had to accept myself, no matter what I am.

After a couple of months than I just accepted myself.

Even if I would have been straight, or gay, it all doesn't matter because I accept myself.

I looked in the mirror at myself and said: "I am gay and there is nothing wrong with it"

If it turned out I wasn't gay than it wouldn't matter because I still kept accepting myself.

Once I learned that, I felt comfortable again in my skin. I was a lot more happy and I had more confidence.

It was then that i admitted it to myself that i was gay and that is just one small part of me that doesn't define who I am.

Looking back on it, I realize that I wouldn't have been able to do that if there weren't these other people sharing their story on YouTube.

I am very greatfull of those people for sharing their story. I will leave a few links in the description to some of those.

If my video can do the same thing for only one person, this video would be a giant succes to me.

If you want to ask questions or whatever, you can leave a comment or find me on Instagram and send a message over there.

Another thing I want to say: Keep in mind that this is my story and that your story can completely differ from mine. You have to make your own decisions.

Move along at your own pace.

The story of how I told people will be for another video because I don't want this video to be to long.

I do have to say that the words "press play, don't press pause" are still in my head and that they are words to live by.

That's it, thank you guys for watching and I'll catch you in to next video! Bye!

Florida Travel: Disney Secrets: First Haircuts at Magic Kingdom - Duration: 1:29.

- We're at Walt Disney World in Central Florida.

We came to Magic Kingdom today

for my son Benji's very first hair cut.

Harmony Barber Shop is a destination for a lot

of families to take their kids

for their very first haircut.

(upbeat music)

Harmony Barber Shop just made it extra special.

Everything from the toys to entertain him during the haircut

to the Mickey ears which are gonna be such a nice keepsake

and even a little certificate memorializing

his very first haircut.

- Here's what I'm most proud of.

He sat in that chair and he held it together, no tears.

This is a first moment for him and he took

it like a champ, you know?

- This is such a classic American experience.

It's a beautiful blue sky day, you're at Disney World,

and then you've got the Dapper Dans barbershop quartet.

(singing in harmony)

This is, like, absolutely perfect.

Everyone knows Disney World

but there are so many little gems to discover

and the barbershop is definitely one of them.

(music.)

(music.)

Today as a homeowner you have to worry

about all the things that can go wrong

with a home you've got to cut the grass

you've got to handle the maintenance

you've got to deal with water heaters

and air conditioning units and it's a

you know today I think people want to

have their weekends free and really

enjoy their lives.

(Music) You know one of the things that

makes a home or a neighborhood at home

is really the sense of community and it's

not only the buildings and the

surroundings that you have but it's also the

people that you live and interact with every

day.

And I'm here, hey good morning.

Hey did you

have a good night?

I did!

How was the date?

It was good.

Fantastic.

Are you ready for your coffee?

I am yeah.

I met Cynthia on her very first day of I guess

looking at the building she was there she was

speaking to one of the rental agents and

really I mean the connection could not

have been more instantaneous.

What was what this,

you said something about froze?

frozen yogurt?

But you never finished the story so

what was that about?

So it's another bad

date so we met for frozen yogurt I

figured you know everybody gets thrown

ball so I went to go take mine and he

said that we were going to share a bowl.

I said I would prefer my frozen yogurt you know separate from

his.

We went back and forth it was really

awkward it was our first date so it lasted

about 20 minutes.

The date lasted 20 minutes?

Yeah it was really bad.

How was the

frozen yogurt?

Delicious.

I got the key yeah.

Yeah okay well when we

get down there now I'll do treadmill you

wouldn't do that elliptical yes?

Things know that are important to both

of us like you knew having

good supermarkets close to hand and also

having the gym right in there in the

development itself the fact that we're

on the 7th floor we come down it takes

us two minutes to get to ground floor

you've got a 30 second walk and next

minute we're in a gym environment in an

environment that we're obviously used to

being in an environment which is good

for us mentally and then of course the

fact that the sunshine the beach nearby

it's just you get back kind of from

city vibe was like being in a full-blown

setting that's one of the reasons why we

looked at obviously choose in this area

as well as the fact that it has all the

amenities that we could want a more here.

Amenities are very important to lmc and

so what we try and do is when we look at

any particular community we try and

understand the location geographically

where it is, we want to program those

those amenities spaces to really fit in

with the communities.

(music.)

I lived in a home that was quite large my husband

passed away and I needed a change and I

looked in many places and this was this

just had my name written all over it.

Remember I told you I was doing taking

all the paintings and everything out.

Oh yeah

he’s coming Friday right?

Cause he’s

coming Friday.

Okay.

I need your opinion on one.

Follow me.

Okay.

This is what it's all about.

This is Chuck we owned

a hobby shop obviously and this was a

picture he did for Mother's Day I just don't

know where I want it.

Chuck how do you like this?

Oh actually I absolutely love it.

Right?

Just perfect.

I feel like it’s absolutely featured.

Perfect! (music.)

It was important to us to give up our

home and downsize so that we could

experience and enjoy life more.

Conveniences of the amenities and the

location affords us to do so many more

things.

(music.)

When you live the life of a homeowner

you've got your downtime consisting of

maintaining your home, repairing items

that need to be fixed.

I do not miss the

maintenance at all I think a lot of

times when I was either sitting in the

back yard or you know sitting in the

front yard you know you're kind of

looking around your house to going ok I

got to fix that and do this this weekend

I gotta do that this weekend, I don't

have those thoughts anymore.

Kyle like the amenities here he's become a

good pool player he enjoys the

independence of being able to go out into the

city in the downtown area on his own he

feels pretty safe and the fact that

he's still close to home and everything is

within his reach.

(music.)

The ability to be close to the beach

close to shopping close to restaurants is

something that we really enjoy and take

advantage of.

(Music) Pick any one you like and push I

don't know any of these songs.

You don't know any of

these?

You wanna sing for me?

You should be ashamed of yourself.

How about rock

around the clock?

I know rock around the

clock.

Good push it.

(music.)

Does that work?

(music.)

That’s called rock and roll! (music.)

Oh I'm extremely happy but the people

here have made it happy for me.

They have made it so easy for me and

that's and that's really that's the basic

thing that the people have been

phenomenal we love the boutique feeling it

brings us close together it forces us to

be closer and get to know our neighbors

out there.

My favorite part of living at Boca

Citywalk is definitely the ability to

really feel part of a community, it's an

intimate environment everybody is

incredibly engaging, everybody's very

being very forthcoming they've had a big

impact on making us feel like this is

home very very quickly.

Part of what

makes a home a home is really the people

that you surround yourself with whether

you're in a single-family neighborhood

or a multi-family community that we have

here at Boca Citywalk that's the people

you live with and interact with that you

feel comfortable they know you and you

know them and it creates that sense of

home and community.

(Music) Hi I'm Kip McConnell I'm the

Plant expert for encore Azalea.

Spring is here

and that means it's time to freshen up

your backyard I'm going to give you

three inspiring ideas and I'm going to

transform this backyard into a landscape

of your dreams.

Tip number one, a bright

sunny combo you may see plants in the

garden center you love but find them

hard to use in your landscape, here's an

idea for a bright sunny combo.

Here I've combined sunshine ligustrum,

purple daydream Laura peddle them with

encore azaleas more petals can get huge

but Southern Living Laura pedal

limbs are compact and hold their purple

color all year long.

Sunshine ligustrum adds that

bright yellow hue to your garden and

really brightens up a space.

Encores azaleas at blooms spring summer and

fall.

Tip number two vivid combo for shade.

You can use bright leaf plants to

add highlights and you can use

textured plants to add interest.

Here we've

combined soft caress mahonia eversheen

care X with encore azaleas the soft

caress mahonia adds a nice feathery

foliage with a bright yellow bloom in

late winter and the average sheen care x

Part of our Southern Living Care Act

series and they have really bright

grassy foliage, and of course the encore

azaleas give you multiple season bloom

to brighten up the shady spot.

Tip number three containers add

versatility.

I love using containers to create a

focal point and also containers are great

because they can be moved around and the

plants can be later used in your

landscape all the combos you've seen today

work great in containers I've given you

some easy and great ideas using encores

azaleas and southern living plants to

inspire your very own backyard sanctuary, for

spring and all year long.

innovative plants to your project

Hi I'm Debi Marie and joining me on this

edition of designing spaces is Victor

Savad he is with bliss hammocks and he's

an expert at creating the perfect

backyard.

Victor so happy to have you

here today.

Thank You Debbie it's great

to be here.

So Victor what did you bring

today to show us how to relax and find

your bliss ok well we brought a few

items but for starters this is our

gravity free chair.

Oh this is beautiful!

Why do they call it gravity free though?

Because when you're sitting in a fully

reclined position.

Yeah.

It reduces the

g-force on your body to make you feel

like you're floating on air.

Ok I have to

try that then.

Ah oh my goodness, you were

not lying.

Not at all! iIt's really

comfortable.

And what's great about it is your legs are

elevated above your heart so you're increasing

blood circulation, gravity-free chair

is cradling your back, it's giving

you that feeling that you're floating on

air and puts less stress on your body.

And relaxing at the same time!

That's right I have to ask you I noticed that

there's some kind mix over there that's

near and dear to my heart.

So we brought a few

different styles with us today this one

is called a hammock and a bag And this

style goes back thousands of years, it's

extremely portable so you can take it to

the beach you could take a camping I

would love this in my backyard but we

don't have two trees that's a huge

misconception Debbie we have hammock

stands and different sizes and different

colors so that you can put it anywhere

in your backyard front porch or anyone

in between.

You know I'm sitting here I

look it over there you've brought

something that's kind of a twist on a

hammock.

It's a different style.

Yep yeah let's go check it out.

Now this is a

hammock chair.

This is beautiful!

Yeah it's great it comes in different

styles and this particular version is

our Metro hammock chair series and it's

reversible so you got solid on one side, oh

that's great.

And solid on the other side, these

particular hammock chairs are great for

people who don't have enough space yeah

put a full-size hammock.

Victor I have to

thank you so much for being here today.

Thanks Debbie it was a pleasure being

here.

Mortgage tips you should know brought to

you by Affinity partnerships.

If you are

62 years old or older and looking to

move into a new home there is a way to

make that home purchase with something

called a reverse mortgage purchase.

The difference between reverse

mortgage and utilizing a reverse mortgage for

purchase are pretty distinct and clear.

When you use reverse mortgage most

people look at it as a refinance tool,

when we're talking about using buying a

home with a reverse mortgage that's when

you can literally go buy a brand new

home under the same model as you would a

reverse mortgage program.

That means if

you're 62 years of age or older and you

put enough money into the home, you could

literally live in that home long term

without any ongoing mortgage payments.

When would a reverse mortgage

purchase be a good idea?

Well reverse mortgage purchase

actually functions best when you know

that you have the capacity to buy that

new home, have sufficient capital, either

from that previous reverse mortgage and

or the ability to have saved enough

capital to now buy on you home and

ensure that as you use the purchase for

a heckum or a reverse mortgage it allows

you to not have to concern yourself with

future mortgage payments.

What do you

need to qualify?

To qualify for reverse

mortgage as a purchase it's the same

criteria as if you're what looking to do

a refinance you have to be 62 years of

age or older you have to be able to

create equity in the home which you're

purchasing and you're a you're going to

live in that home as your primary

residence.

Are there restrictions there

are very few restrictions because once

you qualify for that purchase under a

reverse or hecka mortgage you're allowed

to have enough equity so that your only

concern should be the maintenance of the

property and the taxes that are due on

the property.

(music.)

Power outages are no joke so being

prepared should be a top priority.

Do you know the best options when it

comes to portable generators?

On today's designing

spaces we're powering up to give you

good advice on what to look for.

We've invited Dan Roche from Briggs &

Stratton to help you find the perfect

solution for backup power during an

outage.

Standard portable generators have been

around a long time they get the job done

but they have a couple drawbacks one of

those drawbacks is that they have large

heavy components inside, that are heavy

and require a frame to be wrapped around

them in order to move them around, this

makes it pretty much of a chore to move

that generate around and get it into

action.

Secondly they have basic controls

basic engine controls that really don't

give the generator the flexibility that

it needs to adapt to the power that's

being consumed, and then finally they

require a lot of fuel they run at a

constant speed and that requires a lot

of fuel for running extended times.

Another problem inherent with some

portable generators is the noise.

By far the number one complaint we hear

from consumers about portable

generators is the noise.

And the noise is actually a

byproduct of the design those big heavy

components inside the generator require

a lot of cool air to keep from overheating and because it needs

that air the open design of a frame

allows that sound to escape and

nothing's going to insulate it from being heard

day in and day out.

So Briggs and Stratton

developed a portable generator that

solves the size and noise problems.

So we started out with integrated

components you can see that they're much

smaller than the traditional generator

behind it but they're also 25 pounds

lighter than a traditional generator these

components are oriented in this direction

on the generator allowing cool air to

come in and then warm air coming out and

also allowing us to encase this

generator taking the first step in noise

reduction with a full shell around the

generator.

The addition of digital speed controls

allows us to take the second step in

terms of noise reduction.

The Q6500

has a digital speed controller that

constantly monitors the output that's

going through the outlets that causes the engine to only

run as hard as it needs to to satisfy

that demand, this saves fuel and

lowers noise.

With an operating sound level equivalent

to a normal conversation this portable

generator is quiet enough to let your

family and neighbors sleep through the

night and provides enough power to keep

the essentials of your home running

during an outage.

The Q6500 is lightweight and compact enough

to fit into smaller spaces when storing

when a power outage occurs simply roll

the unit outside its storage location and

start the engine.

So in addition to being quiet

and compact the Q6500 is also fuel

efficient, at half load on a full tank

the Q6500 will run between 12 and 14

hours.

As with any portable generator

it's important to operate it safely.

There are two main aspects that you must

focus on as it relates to safety, the

first one is on how the generator is

hooked up to the house, how it's connected the only safe way to

connect a generator to a home is through a

transfer switch that's installed by an

electrician.

The second step is on where

the generator is positioned when it's in

operation.

Never operate a generator inside an

enclosed place the only safe place for a

generator to be operated is as far away

from the home as possible, orient the

generator with the exhaust pointing away

from windows and vents as well as

combustible materials.

For homeowners

looking for quiet fuel-efficient dependable and easy to use

generator to restore power to their home

during an outage the Q6500 delivers.

Supercharge Your Folate: Pastured Eggs and Sprouted Legumes | Chris Masterjohn Lite - Duration: 6:49.

In the last video I told you how you

could get "enough" folate. In this video

I'm going to tell you how you can

*supercharge* your folate status with

pasture-raised egg yolks and sprouted

legumes. Hi. I'm Dr. Chris Masterjohn

of chrismasterjohnphd.com, and you're

watching Chris Masterjohn Lite, where

the name the game is "Details? Schmeetails.

Just tell me what works!" Here is how you

can potentially supercharge your folate

status. Let's first take the case of the

egg yolk. An egg is not one of the three

L's, one of the great sources of folate,

the liver, legumes, and leafy greens, but

it's a half-decent source of folate and

most of that folate is in the egg yolk.

Now chickens often eat things like corn,

not one of the three L's, dried, stored

for who knows how long under what

conditions. But chickens can be raised on

pasture. And if they're raised on pasture

they're eating a lot of grass. Grass is a

leafy green, one of the three L's. Not

only that but they eat the grass

while it's growing in the ground. And if

it's really really fresh then that's

when the folate is going to be at its

highest concentration. So it makes sense

that pasture-raised chickens would

produce eggs with a lot more folate than

conventionally raised chickens. Joel

Salatin is the person who runs Polyface

Farms and he raises his chickens on

pasture. In his book, "Folks, This Ain't Normal,"

repeated in his book, The Marvelous

Pigness of Pigs," he cites data showing

that his egg yolks have 1200 micrograms

of folate per egg compared to only 47

micrograms in the USDA database. That

means, if it's true, that

egg yolks have over 20 times more folate

than conventionally raised egg yolks do.

And if that's the case, you could eat a

half an egg yolk per day and fulfill

your folate requirement. I do not feel

comfortable saying that these eggs are

so rich in folate that you should just

ignore getting enough of the three L's,

and the reason is, first of all, it's hard

to trace this data back. It comes from

Mother Earth News and Mother Earth News

did publish data on their website

documenting the nutrients in

pasture-raised eggs versus

conventionally raised eggs, but they

don't list folate there. And I'm not

questioning that the data exists but if

it's only one piece of data there could

be an error, it could be random

fluctuation, we don't really know.

Furthermore, even if Polyface Farms eggs

have that much folate it doesn't mean

that every egg that's labeled as pastured

does, and ultimately there's no

scientific papers published in the

peer-reviewed literature that document

anywhere near that level of folate in an

egg yolk. So I don't feel comfortable

saying that pasture-raised egg yolks are so

rich in folate that you can eat a small

amount of them and ignore all the other

folate-rich foods, but I do feel

comfortable saying that pasture-raised egg

yolks are almost certainly richer in

folate than regular egg yolks, and it's

quite possible that if you consume good

amounts of other folate-rich foods, adding

some pasture-raised egg yolks to your

diet just might supercharge your folate.

Now let's talk about sprouted legumes.

The data that are shown on the screen

are from a recent study where they

looked at what happens to the folate

concentration in a handful of varieties

of soybeans and mung beans during the

course of sprouting. And on the far left

you see the amount of folate in the raw

seed but then up through the fourth day

of sprouting the folate concentration

increases three, four, five, or even close

to six times higher. After the fourth day,

folate starts declining again and on the

tenth day it's still higher than it

originally was in the raw seed but

clearly the peak concentration of folate

is on the fourth day of sprouting.

Now this would imply that if you get

fourth day sprouts you can, instead of

eating 1-2 or 2-3 servings of

legumes, depending on which legumes they

are, you could cut that down to less than

a half a serving per day and get enough

folate. Once again I don't feel

comfortable smacking a number on that

and telling you that this is a reason to

avoid eating other folate-rich foods. The

reason is we don't have enough data on

the diversity of sprouting conditions,

sprouting techniques, and different

sprouted products. I like to eat Tru Roots

sprouted lentils.

I contacted Tru Roots to ask them how

many days do you sprout your lentils for,

and they told me they'd get back to me.

That was weeks ago! And they haven't

gotten back to me,

so I have no idea whether the sprouted

legumes that are on the market sold as

sprouted legumes are second-day sprouts

or fourth-day sprouts or tenth-day sprouts, so

we need to measure folate in the actual

products sold in the market, and if we're

going to make recommendations for home

sprouting we really need to measure this

in a greater diversity of conditions and

a greater diversity of different types

of legumes. Nevertheless, I do feel

absolutely comfortable saying that if

you make sure to get your several

servings of folate-rich foods a day, you

can on top of this make the legumes

sprouted. If you sprout them at home, stop

at the fourth day. And you can consume

some pasture-raised egg yolks. And this

will take your folate over and above what

you would otherwise get, and help

supercharge your folate. All right, I hope

you found this useful.

Signing off, this is Chris Masterjohn of

chrismasterjohnphd.com. You've been watching

Chris Masterjohn Lite, and I will see

you in the next video.

SERIES ON TV, IT IS YOUR LIFE

AND YOU'RE REVEALING YOUR

PERSONAL LIFE ON THE AIR.

THAT IS WHAT MAKES THE GREAT

CONTENT.

IT IS ALL ABOUT BEING

RELATABLE.

RELATING TO PEOPLE THROUGH

TECHNOLOGY, THROUGH

ENTERTAINMENT AND LIFESTYLE.

THAT IS HOW WE RELATE AND HOW

WE COMMUNICATE.

THAT HUMAN INTERACTION IS

REALLY IMPORTANT.

Brendan: ABSOLUTELY.

WE'RE AVOIDING THE INTERACTION

MORE AND MORE THESE DAYS WITH

APPS.

HOPEFULLY THEY LEAD US BACK TO

MORE HUMAN INTERACTION.

LET'S TALK ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

WITH APPS.

I JUST WIPED THE SLATE CLEAN,

I'M DONE FOR NOW.

WHAT'S IT LIKE FOR YOU?

HOPEFULLY YOU'RE NOT DONE

AFTER ME.

Brendan: I HOPE NOT.

COMING FROM THE REALITY

WORLD AND THE RADIO WORLD IS

REALLY HARD TO DATE.

IT'S HARD TO DATE IN GENERAL.

LET'S NOT GET IT WRONG.

BUT I HAD TO REALLY RESEARCH

THE RIGHT APPS AND THE LESS

SUPERFICIAL ONES.

SO, WE'LL GO INTO A FEW THAT

ARE LESS SUPERFICIAL.

Brendan: LET'S START WITH

SWEAT.

SWEAT CONNECTS PEOPLE TO

FITNESS.

THEY LOVE TO WORK OUTAND CAN'T

GIVE UP THE GYM.

INSTEAD OF GIVING UP YOUR GYM

AND THE WORKOUT, IT CONNECTS

YOU THROUGH DIFFERENT WORKOUTS

LIKE YOGA OR CYCLING OR CROSS

DPITSZ AND HELPS YOU AVOID THAT

AWKWARD MEET AT THE BAR.

Brendan: I'M A BIG ZUMBA GUY.

ARE YOU?

Brendan: NO.

MAYBE WE SHOULD GO TOGETHER.

IT'S A DATE!

WE JUST CONNECTED THROUGH

SWEAT!

THERE YOU GO!

Brendan: COMMUNICATION.

IMAGINE!

MOVING ON TO ANOTHER APP, ONE

FOR MUSIC LOVERS.

THIS IS MIX.

MIXED IS BASED ON YOUR MUSIC

PREFERENCES.

IF YOU HAVE AN ECLECTIC TASTE

IN MUSIC, EVERY GENRE, COUNTRY,

TOP 40, HIP-HOP, WHATEVER

YOU'RE KEXED THROUGH THE

DIFFERENT GENRES OF MUSIC AND I

LOVE THE MUSICAL FESTIVALS THAT

YOU CAN GO TO THROUGH CONCERTS.

AND HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU

CONNECT TO PEOPLE THROUGH MUSIC.

PEOPLE DON'T REALISE THE

RELATIONSHIPS.

SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T WORK

BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE THE SAME

INTERESTS.

Brendan: RIGHT.

MARY MY PRODUCER SAID OH, THAT

WOULD BE GOOD FOR YOU.

THANK YOU.

I CAN FIGURE THIS OUT ON MY OWN.

I LIKE MEETING SOMEONE WITH

DIFFERENT TASTE, ACTUALLY.

BECAUSE THEN IT IS MORE DIVERSE.

AND YOU CAN DO THAT, TOO,

THOUGH.

THAT IS THE GREAT THING ABOUT

MIX.

YOU MIGHT BE A COUNTRY GUY.

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE?

Brendan: LOUD ROCK 'N ROLL.

I LOVE THAT.

SO YOU MIGHT NEED SOMEONE WHO

LOVES ROCK 'N ROLL OR SOMEONE

WHO LOVES HIP-HOP AND YOU MIGHT

GET ALONG.

AT LEAST YOU KNOW HER TASTE IN

MUSIC.

Brendan: MOVING ON.

E

BASICALLY YOU HAVE THESE

IDEAS OF DATES.

SO LET'S SAY YOU ARE ON HOW

ABOUT WE.

SO WAS I.

YOU TALK ABOUT YOUR FIRST

DATING EXPERIENCE AND WHAT YOU

WOULD LIKE TO SEE ON THAT FIRST

DATE.

LET'S SAY YOU ARE THE TYPE OF

GUY THAT WANTS TO GO TO A

CONCERT OR HORSE AND BUGGY

THROUGH CENTRAL PARK TO A NICE

RESTAURANT.

YOU ARE WRITING OUT YOUR FIRST

DATING IDEA AND SHARING IT

THROUGH THAT.

Brendan: IT IS FUN TO GET

CREATIVE AND NOSE THAT WE HAVE

OPTIONS THROUGHOUT FOR THOSE OF

US NAVIGATING THIS.

WITH APPS, USUALLY YOU DON'T

GO ON THAT FIRST DATE.

AND YOU TALK AND TALK AND

BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, YOU DON'T

GO ON THAT FIRST DATE.

WITH "HOW ABOUT WE," IT'S ALL

ABOUT THAT FIRST DATE.

Brendan: I CAN'T WAIT FOR

THE ZUMBA DATE.

WE WISH YOU THE BEST MOVING

FORWARD.
