Fight Fear - How to Conquer Your Fears - Duration: 3:20.

Fear is the number one reason people fail to take action and achieve their dreams.

This week I'm going to give you four tips on how to conquer your fears and be an action hero.

I'm Batman.

My name's Roman Ryder and on this channel, I talk to you about fearless strategies for

leadership and personal development.

Before we talk about conquering your fears, if you're new to my channel make sure you

click below and subscribe and also make sure you stick around till the end for an awesome

bonus tip.

Tip number one is to Identify It.

It's not enough to know that you're afraid.

You really need to dig deep and figure out exactly what it is you're afraid of because

until you know exactly what that thing is that's making you afraid, you can't really

do anything about it and address it to overcome that fear.

They say that nearly one in three Americans has a fear of flying.

They're either anxious to fly or afraid to fly, but if you dig deep and you find out why

those people are actually afraid to fly you'll find it's from quite a few different reasons.

For instance, mechanical problems during flight, flight during bad weather, flying at night,

or flying over a body of water.

That's what it means to really dig deep and figure out exactly what it is that you're afraid of.

Alright.

Tip number two is to Eliminate It.

If we take a look at the previous example about a fear of flying, one of the reasons

people are afraid to fly is flying at night so, a way to eliminate that would be to schedule

their flight first thing in the morning.

That way even if their flight's delayed they're still going to be flying during the day and

they've eliminated that thing that's causing their fear.

Tip number three is to Mitigate It.

When I was kayaking the Grand Canyon I had to run a rapid called Lava Falls, which is

the biggest rapid in the Grand Canyon.

It's the one that has everybody nervous the whole time going up to it.

To mitigate that, I had really great training before I went there.

Also, I had really great safety gear.

I had a good helmet.

I had a good life jacket.

We put safety in place.

I had friends waiting downstream waiting on me in case something happened.

They were there to keep me safe.

By doing that, I was able to mitigate the risk and overcome my fears and take action

because the things we regret are the things we don't do and if I hadn't ran that rapid,

I would've really regretted it.

Tip number four is to Conquer It.

Let's take this back to the workplace.

If you've ever heard of impostor syndrome, I suffered from that greatly.

I went from being hourly to supervisor to superintendent in less than a year and I went

from supervising three people to managing three dozen people from a tiny little power

plant to a huge power plant so, obviously you can have impostor syndrome in a case like that.

But, it ended up being an awesome experience and I had a lot of success in that position

and if I hadn't pushed past my fears and taken that opportunity I would have missed out.

Alright.

Now, it's time for today's bonus tip and that is if your why is bigger than your fear it's

easy to conquer those fears and take action.

If you look in the description below I have a link to my website for a free video course

that will walk you through how to find your why.

It also includes a free worksheet you can download.

Make sure you check that out.

If you liked this video, make sure you like it below, share with your friends and subscribe

Thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next video.

Here's why you definitely need to visit Ireland

Here's why you definitely need to visit Ireland. And not just because of the ineffable beauty of its local bays, gulfs, islands, valleys and cliffs. The country's unique history, culture and mythology also play their part.

Everything here breathes freedom. Each castle, moor, windmill and seemingly ordinary path have a legend of their own, which is passed from generation to generation in awed whispers.

It seems that the nature landscape of the ''Emerald Isle'' was created especially for solitude lovers. A harsh climate, with cold winds even during the summer, lonely cliffs and general wilderness framed by rebellious waves of Atlantic Ocean keep tourist crowds away.

However, those anxious to go full throttle will not be disappointed either: they are always welcome to pop into one of the famous Irish pubs for a pint of Guinness and some live music.

We here at Bright Side have decidedly fallen in love with Ireland. So while we're packing our bags, here are few of the most spectacular photos of this country. Get inspired and come along with us!.

Are Applejack parents dead? - Duration: 6:26.

Good morning this is Pony Writer and today I've got another theory for you.

I know that this case is in 98% explained but with this series everything is possibile.

In this video we're going to think about parents of three Apple sibbiling are certainly dead,

nobody said that they are, right?

Although it seems.

Anyway, don't forget about my Facebook and that's it, let's get started.

First of all I want to thank one of my fans because without her

I wouldn't have know about premiere that fast.

21th june 2017, so not that long ago, a new MLP's episode has been released.

It would've been another simple episode if two new characers hadn't appeared in there.

By that I mean Bright MacIntosh and Pear Butter.

Those turned out to be Apple Jack's parents names and episode was about their history.

We can hear about conflict between apples and pears

and how big influence it had on these famillies.

Regardless there were two ponys who didn't get affected by all this hate

and they were Apple Jack's parents.

I mean then they were ponys so there was no option to get married but in the future...

Anyway, later we're meeting best friends of our pair - mrs Cupcake and Bruned Oakwood.

If I understood his name properly.

So we have another character from ponyville who lives

there so long that we have never heard of him.

But yeah it's hard to expect that we will know somebody who sells firewood.

He showed us a little of his friendship with Bright Mac who,

as we may suspect, was a role model.

Who would've thought...

Later we're learning something from mrs Cupcake about Apple Jack's mother and

also about her and hers husband beautiful love story

and also how Butter Cup plays the guitar...

My Little Pony Edition - how to do something impossible.

They history is developing untill we reach culmination -

Grand Pear, father of Pear Butter, is going to move with whole family to vanhover.

They're re moving for real

And all of this would've ended not really cool unless the Bright Mac's great idea.

He asked purple-hair mrs Mayor to prepare a wedding.

And it worked.

A chambr ceremony has happened and during this mrs Mayor married our couple and

they live happily together.

Or... not at all.

Let's cut to the chase.

And here I want to appologise for twisting Kora Kosiecka's words when

she confirmed thet Apple Jack's parents are dead.

I just got her wrong and that's why this misteake happened.

In spite of the person who said that is so close with the serie we still

can assume that they are alive but in a different world?

Except in this series words such as "death" or "afterlife" are banned.

But as I said in one of my other videos probability that

they are alive is low but still it will be unless

we'll see undeniable evidence like I don't know gravestone or death story.

Although speaking of them in the past form is already a hard proof.

Anyway we can be 100% sure of anything which has something to do with Hasbro.

Okay, but this is a simple question and the answears are two: yes or no.

More interesing is how they die.

Because don't you think that this is a bit out of order?

As I said, this world has so many sweetness in it that this is almost painful

but parents of main character died by unknown reason?

I'm getting a tone of a comments from you about how they died

but most of the times these are theories or fanfictions connected with this.

I'm saying 'most of the times' cause I wasn't able to go through everything -

there is so many of them.

But something must have happened to them -

I don't believe they died in natural way and

a woman who has seen a beginning of ponyville Has a better form then her son and daughter-in-law.

One of the theories that is the closest to the truth says that Pear Butter

died during giving birth to Apple Bloom and Bright Mac commited suicide.

Yeah..

I know how it sounds but with such a little amount of informations we can only suspect what happened.

On the end I just say that Apple Jack has already dreamt of them in episode "A Royal problem" right here.

To conclude there is only a small chance that we will see them again in any kind of way

but hope dies last.

We may never know how they died despite you say that this series is no more for children and

I also see it very well, the truth is that kids are still main vievers and it's almost impossible to take that step.

Although I still believe that we're gonna see them again.

And that's all for today.

Remember to subscribe, SMASH THAT LIKE BUTTON and comment down below what you think of this situation.

0016 Excel Shortcuts: The Best Way to Format Cells - Duration: 6:35.

Some people are extremely particular about the way their spreadsheets look.

Clearly, I'm one of them, and in this video, I'm going to teach you how to be

very precise and comprehensive with your formatting, which is great for presenting

to your boss, investors, or that guy across the hall you're trying to impress.

♪ [music] ♪

Sure, you can use the Home tab on the ribbon for many of the most common

formatting options, but if you really want to start to get things to the next level

and be really precise and comprehensive with all your formatting options,

the one place to go is Format Cells, and the way to get there is with CTRL+1 on

the PC or Command+1 on the Mac. This is one of those shortcuts that will open up

an entire world of different options for you. So, we're going to explore in-depth,

but really, the only main shortcut is the Format Cells for CTRL+1.

The way to remember this is, the one formatting shortcut to control them all,

all right? Think of The Lord of the Rings when you think about this.

So once you have this window here, CTRL+1, there's a lot of different tabs up top,

and you want to be able to navigate quickly between the different sections.

The way to navigate is to go CTRL+PGDN to move to the tab on the right,

CTRL+PGUP to go to the tab on the left. If you hit TAB, you're going to move to

the next section or area on this popup. TAB again, TAB again. If you want to go in

the reverse direction, you'll do SHIFT+TAB. And again, this is true for any

popup that comes up on your screen on your computer, which is really cool.

Another way to navigate is to go ahead and hit the Spacebar when you're on a check

mark. You can check it by hitting SPACE, and you can uncheck it by hitting SPACE

again. Alternatively, you can also do things like hit ENTER to hit the OK button

or basically make it save and take effect, or hit ESC to cancel out and essentially

close the window without saving your changes. You can also do things like use

the ALT and then the letter to actually activate that specific area.

So, ALT+W, in this case, will get me to Wrap Text.

ALT+W again will undo it. If I want to move to this box here,

ALT+H. You can do a lot of these types of things, just pay attention.

This is for the PC. The ALT key is a nice accelerator option. The memory tricks for

this are to control your pages or they won't pay their tab. Think of pages as

little rambunctious, obnoxious kids. They're running around in the restaurant

and not paying their bill, so control your pages, or they won't pay their tab.

That's how you remember that piece. If you want space for dessert,

nope. Check, please. The space, dessert, you know, check, it's all related.

In my mind, it was. Hopefully, that helps you. Fortunately, on the Mac, it is

actually very much the same kind of thing with very little, minute differences.

It's the same concept. CTRL+FN+DOWN, which is the same as PGDN.

So again, it's pretty much the same thing as we've done on the PC.

There are three main tabs on this window that are important, so that we're going to

cover. There's the Number, Alignment, and Border, and let's go through each one.

On the Number tab, you have a lot of different types of data, different

categories for what the data could actually be. So, you'll start by selecting

that on the side, and then you get a whole host of options.

Again, explore each of these on your own time, and really get a flavor of it,

but things like General, Number, Currency, Accounting, these are all very,

very important, and if you get really fancy, you can do all sorts of custom

stuff, but most people don't ever have to do that. So, don't sweat it.

Let's go to the Alignment tab and see that there's a lot you can do here.

You can orient you text. You can do things like Wrap Text or Shrink to Fit.

You can even do some merging across, we'll talk about that a little bit later.

And so, that's a great way to take full advantage of how your text,

or your numbers, or whatever your data is, is aligned exactly the way you want to.

Finally, there's the Border tab here, which is kind of incredible because it

lets you choose, first, your style, what kind of paintbrush are you going to use,

essentially. Well, I want this solid line or this thicker line,

this thicker brush, for example. You can then choose the color.

Most people keep it Automatic, but you can actually choose a different color here,

and then, you use this area here as a canvas, and you will paint the borders

onto this. You can use these things on the side to actually be very specific and

targeted about it, or you can do it with the mouse on that section itself,

which is another approach. You can do None to erase it all quickly,

you can do Outline, whole lot of things you can do, again, explore this,

get a feel for it.

But first, choose your style if it's not the one that you want,

then your color, and then you can go ahead and apply those changes to this canvas

here. Very important note is to select the cells first before you do any of these

things. So, for example, I'm going to hit Cancel, I want to choose these cells over

here, and then I'm going to hit CTRL+1 and I'm going to apply a change,

for example, a border. Let's make it crazy and do a little sideways border, which

looks terrible, and then it applies it all the way to it. But the point is,

if you just start doing borders all over the place without selecting first,

it won't get you the result that you want. You better believe it.

I've got exercises to practice all of these shortcuts and really remember them

cold, so let's go into each one. You're going to match the format,

make this left section look exactly like the right. Hints, probably do the thing

that it talks about at the bottom, right? It's pretty cool. Select the cells you

want, like the Number here, hit CTRL+1 and go to the Number tab,

and let's see. Let's move this to the side.

Well, in fact, I want the number to appear like so, with only one decimal point and a

thousand separator, and with the negative to be with red and a parentheses.

So, it's very, very precise and very comprehensive. So, go through all of those

steps to do things like changing the number format, go through the Alignment

tab, make it look exactly the same way, and also do things like the border.

It gets very specific. One little note for the alignment, do not merge these cells.

It says so right here in the hint.

It's much better to, instead, CTRL+1, if you want to basically get a hint,

Alignment, and Horizontal, it is Center Across Selection. What that does is it

actually keeps your data only on the left side, but it does the nice thing of

putting it as if it's centered across all of them, versus merging,

which can lead to a whole bunch of problems later on, which are just annoying

and stupid. So, don't do that. Don't forget to visit excelshir.com where you

can download these exercises, along with other free resources,

such as keyboard shortcut cheat sheets for both PC and Mac.

Thanks for watching, and I'll see you next time. And I think it was Gandhi who said

it best when he said, "Don't forget to share the Excel love." Wise words.

Starting the Creative Process: Dance Like Everyone's Watching - Episode 54 - Duration: 1:28.

So today I am just starting on my next project. So we

just moved to Denver - just getting started on the next

project. So I'm driving to - just a kind of nicer place to

sit and start looking for some music. So we're here at this

amazing park. I've never been here before, I'm pretty excited

to explore it. Gonna check out some of these local bands and

see what kind of music I might like to use for this project.

So I always start my creative process out by finding music.

Working with local bands and local musicians is something

that's really important to me, so that kind of has to come

first to make sure I find music and artists that I want to work

with. But then the creative side of that is important, too. I think

it's so important to start with your limitations, so the music

and the venue, things like that, and then choreograph/create around

that so you can really bring out the best of those limitations.

So I've listened to a lot of music today, and to give you an example -

a little idea of what I'm looking for: with this last song I just listened to,

I really, really, loved the sound of it, but I'm a little worried that

there's not enough dynamic range and growth throughout the song to

sustain a whole story.

Thanks for watching this totally new, revamped version of DLEW, guys!

And I really want to know what you think about this whole new format -

so let me know! You can either comment below or message me.

Thanks for watching, guys! I'll see you next time.

How to Design a Trifold Brochure in InDesign || Adobe InDesign CC 2015 Tutorial - Duration: 11:52.

Hi everyone!

Today we're making a brochure design in Adobe InDesign.

If you don't have InDesign, you can either start a free trial or buy it, I'll put the

links below.

Start by creating a new document by clicking File -> New -> Document.

Set the Number of pages to 1, Orientation to landscape, Columns number to 3, because

this will be a tri-fold brochure design and margins to 4 mm.

Click OK.

Use the Rectangle tool to draw a rectangle in the bottom of the page.

Select fill color from the top menu.

Set Stroke to none.

Use the Scissors tool to cut out a piece from the rectangle to create a hollowed out shape.

Make a circle by changing the rectangle tool to ellipse tool and holding down shift when

you draw it to make it a circle.

Change the color and stroke.

Move the circle so it's half out of the page.

Make another rectangle.

Change the color and set stroke to none.

Take the scissors tool and cut out a shape from the rectangle.

Move it to the last column and turn it from the corner.

You can also make it wider.

Remember to save the design as an InDesign document.

You can also check how the brochure looks at any point by clicking File -> Export -> PDF.

I noticed the edges of the last rectangle don't look good so I'll resize that element.

Add an image by clicking File -> Place and choosing the image.

Drag the corner of the image to set the size while holding down shift to keep the proportions.

Go to object, arrange and send to back to move the image behind the shapes.

I'm making a brochure for an imaginary art exhibition so I'm adding a little gallery

of square and circle images on the middle column.

Go to file and place to add more images.

The rulers will guide you in aligning the images.

You can select all of the images at once to move them together.

I'm adding two more images in the last column.

Use the Rectangle tool to add a background box for the text.

Choose the color and change the opacity from the top.

Click the little yellow box to change the image border.

Drag the yellow boxes to make rounded corners.

Copy paste the text background to the third column and resize it.

Use the Text tool from the left menu to write the title.

Choose font, type, size and color from the top.

Add two more rectangles below the title.

Click fx to add a drop shadow, you can change the settings like opacity and angle.

Select the Text tool again and add a title for one of the text boxes.

Click away and move the title by selecting the black arrow in the left menu.

Drag a text box to almost fill the text background box.

Click Type -> Fill with placeholder text from the top menu.

Move the text on top of the transparent box.

Click the text tool again and choose the numbered list.

You can make the placeholder text seem like descriptions for each of the 9 gallery images.

Add another text box and fill with placeholder text.

Make the first line bold to seem like the title of an image.

Copy paste the text to make a description for the last image.

Export the design as PDF to check it.

I still added a simple logo to mine.

It's a white PGN image with a transparent background.

This is the final brochure design.

Check out my other tutorials and thanks for watching!
