Waching daily Feb 2 2018

I love fashion.

I actually go to bed every night thinking about what I'm going to wear

the next day.

Clothing transforms me,

defines me,

gives me confidence.

You may not feel the same way about fashion,

but I bet you have a favorite T-shirt or a pair of jeans that transforms you --

makes you feel good,

makes you feel confident,

makes you feel like you.

When I was younger,

I wanted to be Betsey Johnson.

I thought we were kindred, crazy-hair spirits together.

I did go to fashion design,

I worked in the industry for years

and loved it.

I married,

I had three kids.

But life can be heartbreakingly ironic.

My middle child, Oliver, was born with a rare form of muscular dystrophy,

or MD.

MD affects his muscle strength,

his pulmonary system,

distorts his body

and makes everyday life more challenging than most.

From the time he could walk,

which wasn't until about two and a half,

he had to wear leg braces for stability.

Because he wasn't growing appropriately,

he had to wear a feeding tube that was placed on his face.

He endured stares, and so did I.

But my husband Greg and I told him

that no matter what,

he was just like everybody else.

But everyday tasks for Oliver

that we all take for granted

were incredibly challenging.

That simple act of dressing yourself -- the very thing that I adore --

was a nightmare for him.

His form of MD does not affect his mind.

His brain is an A-plus,

which means he's acutely aware of his shortcomings.

This became very evident when he started school,

and that daily act of dressing yourself was a constant reminder

of what he could and could not do.

So our solution was for Oliver to wear sweatpants every day:

to school,

to parties,

on vacations --

his uniform.

For special occasions, he would wear proper pants.

But many times, because he couldn't manage the button and zipper,

I would have to take him to the men's room,

which was incredibly embarrassing for him

and the other men that were in there.

But them -- I said, "Oh, please. There's nothing I haven't seen before."

(Laughter)

For years we muddled through.

But when Oliver was in third grade,

I found out he was more like me than I ever imagined.

Oliver, too, cared about fashion.

He came home from school one day and said very definitively

that he was going to wear jeans to school like everybody else gets to wear.

Well, I certainly couldn't go to class with him

and take him to the boys' room,

but there was no way I was telling my eight-year-old

that he couldn't wear what he wanted to wear.

So that night,

I MacGyvered the hell out of his jeans.

I remembered when I was pregnant

and unwilling to stop wearing my own favorite pants,

even though I was busting out of them,

that rubber-band trick.

You moms remember what I'm talking about?

The rubber band through the buttonhole,

around the button and back?

Instant stretch.

So I removed the zipper

so he could pull it up and down on his own.

I cut up the side seam of the bottom of his pants

to accommodate for his leg braces,

applied Velcro --

hold your ears, everybody: peel and stick, mind you --

so that it would close around it.

When I showed Oliver my arts and crafts project,

he absolutely beamed.

He went into school with his head held so high.

Those jeans transformed him.

He was able to get dressed on his own,

he was able to go to the bathroom on his own;

those jeans gave him confidence.

I didn't realize it at the time,

but this was my first foray into the world of adaptive clothing.

Adaptive clothing is defined as clothing designed for people with disabilities,

the elderly

and anyone who struggles with dressing themselves.

Adaptive clothing did exist,

but it was missing that mainstream fashion component.

It was very medicinal and very functional

but not stylish.

And that's a huge problem,

because what you wear matters.

Clothing can affect your mood,

your health

and your self-esteem.

Now, being a fashion lover, I've known this forever,

but scientists actually have a name for it.

It's called "Enclothed Cognition,"

the co-occurrence of two factors:

the symbolic meaning of clothing

and the physical experience of wearing the clothing,

both of which have a direct correlation to how you feel about yourself.

There's actually a professor in the UK by the name of Karen J. Pine.

She wrote a book called "Mind What You Wear:

The Psychology of Fashion."

She states in her book

that when you put clothes on,

you adapt the characteristics of what you're wearing,

whether you realize it or not.

That's why you feel like a rock star

when you put on those perfect-fitting jeans.

That's why you feel invincible when you put on that power suit,

and that's why you feel beautiful

in that little black dress.

But that's exactly why Oliver felt so isolated

when he couldn't wear what he wanted to wear.

He even said to me one time,

"Mom, wearing sweatpants every day

makes me feel like I'm dressing disabled."

There are one billion people on our planet

that experience some type of disability.

One billion.

If 10 percent of that billion experience clothing challenges,

that's an enormous amount of people that may not be as confident,

as successful

or even as happy as they could be.

The morning after Oliver left for school wearing those jeans,

I realized that I could do something about that.

And so I did.

In 2013, I founded an organization called Runway of Dreams.

The mission was to educate the fashion industry

that modifications could be made to mainstream clothing

for this community that has never been served.

And it began with an entire year of research.

I went to schools, I went to facilities, I went to hospitals.

I literally chased down people on the street who were in wheelchairs

or if they had walkers

or even if they had a slight limp.

(Laughter)

I know I must have looked insane,

but I knew that if I was really going to make a difference,

I had to truly understand the clothing challenges

of as many different people as I possibly could.

I met a young man who was 18 who has cerebral palsy.

He was going to Harvard University.

He said to me, "Can you imagine?

I got myself into Harvard,

but my dream is to be able to wear jeans on campus,

like the other freshmen will wear."

I met a little girl named Gianna,

who was missing her left forearm and her hand.

Her mother told me

she could not bear to see her daughter's difference magnified

by a dangling sleeve,

so she had every single long-sleeve shirt professionally tailored.

Can you imagine the time and money she spent?

I also had the great privilege of spending time with Eric LeGrand,

former Rutgers football player who was paralyzed during a tackle in 2010.

I had, at this point, seen some unfathomable things,

but this, by far, was the most heart-stopping.

You see, Eric is a really big guy,

and it took two aides and a lifting machine

to get him dressed.

I sat and watched this process for over two hours.

When I expressed my shock to Eric,

he looked at me and said,

"Mindy, this is every single day.

What can I say?

I like to look sharp."

Research done.

I knew that if I was going to make a change in the industry,

I had to use my background

and really figure out how to make these clothes modified.

So I took the information I gathered over that past year,

and I figured out that there were actually three categories

that were affected across the board.

The first were closures.

Buttons, snaps, zippers, hook-and-eyes were a challenge for almost everybody.

So I replaced them with a more manageable technology:

magnets.

Magnets made our Harvard freshman able to wear jeans on campus,

because he could dress himself.

Second: adjustability.

Pant lengths, sleeve lengths, waistbands

were a challenge for so many different-shaped bodies.

So I added elastic,

an internal hemming system.

This way, Gianna could wear a shirt right off the rack

and just adjust the one sleeve.

Last: alternate ways to get the clothing on and off the body,

outside the traditional way of over your head.

So I designed a way to go in arms first.

This, for somebody like Eric,

could actually take five steps off his dressing process

and give him back the gift of time.

So I went out,

I bought clothing right off the rack,

I sat at my kitchen table, ripped them apart,

did prototype after prototype, until I felt I had great modifications.

And then I was ready for the big leagues:

the fashion industry.

Rather than designing my own collection,

I knew if I was really going to make a difference,

I had to go mainstream.

I believed that I just needed to educate the industry

of the enormity of this population

and the fact that these were consumers

that simply weren't being considered.

And I am thrilled to say that the industry heard me.

Runway of Dreams collaborated with the most amazing,

forward-thinking brand on our planet --

(Applause)

who took my vision to market

and made fashion history

by launching the first mainstream adaptive collection.

And the rest is yet to come.

(Applause)

So --

(Applause)

Fashion holds the key to a vital lifeline.

Clothing can be transformative.

Clothing equals confidence.

So tomorrow,

when you are starting your day

and you're thinking about what you're going to wear,

I hope you appreciate the process

and think about how what you chose

makes you feel.

Today, Oliver is 13.

He wears his adaptive khakis,

his magnetic button-front shirt --

feels like the coolest kid around.

My boy has total swagger.

(Laughter)

As I mentioned,

Oliver's disease is degenerative,

which means his muscles are going to break down over time.

This, by far, is the most devastating part for me.

I have to sit on the sidelines

and watch my boy deteriorate.

And there's nothing I can do about it.

So I am looking up from the things that I cannot control

to the things that I can,

because I have no option.

And so, I am looking up.

And I'm asking the fashion industry to look up.

And now, I'm asking all of you

to look up, too.

Thank you.

(Applause)

Le-Vel 60 Seconds to Success | You Have to Believe - Duration: 1:21.

When you believe in what you're sharing, you know that you're going to change lives.

And when you believe in what you're sharing there's nothing that can stop you from changing

somebody's life.

It's when you start not believing in this product and you start not believing in this

business that people tend to struggle.

But when you believe in this 100% and you know that this product is made for any and

everybody and is going to change thousands if not millions of lives and you know that

you're gonna have that impact, you can't fail in this business and you can't fail in this

opportunity of sharing this product and changing lives but it starts with that belief in knowing

you are taking the best product on there.

You know that it is going to change every single person's life that you expose them

to.

And so for me the first belief is gonna be if somebody is struggling, you gotta look

yourself in the mirror and say Do I believe in this with all my heart?

And if I do, then what is stopping me from that success that I deserve?

What is stopping me from changing thousands if not millions of lives?

If I know that there is no other product out there on Earth that is even close to remotely

as good as the Thrive Experience.

Final Fantasy Class/Job That Describes You? | Community Question | Backlog Battle - Duration: 8:26.

Hello everybody and welcome to this week's Community Question!

My name is Alex and I hope you all have been enjoying gaming in 2018 so far!

As I mentioned last week lots of games are starting to come out again and some of our

favorite games are being updated with new content and modes.

What a time we live in these days...

Before we ask the Community Question this week, we'll need to read and reply to all

your answers from last week's question today!

For the people who missed it, last week's question was, "Name a video game character

you'd like to play games with."

I know you guys know who I chose, but let's run through all your answers and see what

you all came up with!

BioPhoenix writes:

Probably Duke Nukem.

Just hearing all the over the top one liners would be worth it!

Duke Nukem is a hilarious choice, particularly given that he's clearly inspired by "Ahnuld."

But could this be a weird situation of, "one too many one liners?"

Maybe his penchant for violence and destruction can break up the moments.

Great pick!

MattMade writes:

Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes.

We'd have so many arguments over games and anime stuff.

Also I'd like to see that sweet bike and beam katana he has.

Would probably end up playing a lot of fighting games like DragonBall Fighter Z … excuse

me, Namco Bandai, "Dragon Ball FighterS" - and Street Fighter V with him.

Travis Touchdown is probably one of my favorite characters in video games that came from the

previous generation.

His cult status of being the quintessential otaku and gamer bro is legendary at this point,

and we all have Suda 51 to thank for that.

Also, not to belie the point, but Namco Bandai really wants us to pronounce the Z as an S?

Minus cool points for you, brah.

Nauto-Ace-211-EX writes:

Donkey Kong, so he can give me tips on how to finish Donkey Kong Returns.

Wait a second.

You want to team up with Donkey Kong to finish his own game?

Huh.

That's certainly unique.

Though it would be weird if you played the original Donkey Kong or Donkey Kong 3 and

would have to defeat him again.

Bad monkey!

Bad!

Xander Skullion writes:

I would eat onigiri with Alex Kidd and play some Sega Master System games.

Sega needs to bring that dood back.

I originally thought that Alex Kidd and Wonder Boy were the same, so I did some digging and

found out that while they were on similar platforms that they're often compared because

of their cult status.

The last time we saw Alex Kidd was in Project X Zone 2, when Ulala from Space Channel 5

would summon him and other Sega characters as part of her Solo Unit attack.

I do think it's time for Alex Kidd to come back, as I feel that a 3D version of his games

would actually be super fun to play.

Bufudyne writes:

I'd play games with Yukimura Sanada from the Sengoku Basara games, due to how passionately

he fights on the battlefield and how loyal and obedient he is to his lord Shingen.

He would make for one of the most helpful co-op partners.

I asked Bufudyne if he referred to the Dynasty Warriors-style Sengoku Basara or the Capcom

fighting game of the same name and he said the former.

The way he talked about how they combined the nature of Dynasty Warriors with a combat

system akin to Devil May Cry fascinated me, and I've no doubt that Sanada-san would

tear the battlefield apart with that kind of moveset.

For some reason, now I'm imagining him in a tactical co-op based shooter...

Terry309 writes:

Probably Falco Lombardi from Starfox.

He's kinda got that friendly rivalry thing going on with Fox which would be interesting

to see in PVP as he constantly makes comments on Fox's performance throughout the game.

The best co-op partners are often the ones you can compete in a healthy fashion, and

Falco Lombardi would certainly be my wing man.

Hehe.

Get it?

Wing man…

Ok, I'm going to stop now.

Terry and I talked in the comments about this, and truly, if you know the person you're

playing a game with is super good, they'll be able to help you out in tight situations.

A fine choice!

TokenGeek writes:

Ratchet from Ratchet & Clank for sure.

Between the Qwark vidcomics and menu screen shenanigans, it's clear that Ratchet is

a true gamer.

Not to mention he's witty enough to entertain throughout.

I never considered Ratchet as a gamer, but then again I'm not too familiar with his

franchise as I played a lot more of Sly and Jak and Daxter during that era.

That said, I believe it!

Ratchet's always got some interesting things to say in his games and he'd be handy in

a pinch when you're trying to figure out what to do or want to catch a break from all

the gaming!

Real cool pick!

Wavec Gaming writes:

I'd have to go with Captain Price from the Modern Warfare series.

Not only would he be a skilled, tactical player, he'd also have surprisingly insightful and

incredibly quotable comments every 15 minutes.

Captain Price to me is like the Chuck Norris of the Modern Warfare series.

You think he's dead, but he's really alive - and probably mowed down a whole compound

full of soldiers!

I can see how his knowledge and tactics can be highly useful in a lot of the shooters

out there, but can you imagine Captain Price playing chess or head-to-head Final Fantasy

Tactics?

Yes, I just put that visual in your head.

You're welcome!

And that's all the answers we managed to get in this video!

Remember, if you want to make sure that your answer appears on next week's Community

Question, make sure you subscribe to the channel and click that bell icon so you won't miss

the release of the latest episode and post a comment with your answer right away!

Also, if you've got the time, you should go check out the channels of everyone who's

replied: you'll never know if they make YouTube videos or not!

Many members of the Backlog Battle community love their RPGs.

I myself grew up on them, and it all started with Final Fantasy.

I recall playing the first Final Fantasy when I was a wee lad in 1989.

And with the recent Final Fantasy XIV update, I can't help but feel nostalgic for that

game and the many sequels it's spawned.

Because of that, we're gonna have a Community Question that I hope everybody can answer.

If not, there's a link you can follow in the description below if you don't know

anything about Final Fantasy - because this question really isn't so much about Final

Fantasy as it is about you.

Which Final Fantasy class/job best describes you?

Because certain Final Fantasy games allow for multi-classing i.e. the selection of two

or more classes and jobs, you may select more than one answer.

Naturally, if you can pick one, that's fine too.

I'm mainly interested in seeing why you feel that you identify with that specific

class or job, so make sure to talk about the "why" of your selection and how that describes

you.

For me, I actually never thought about this in the long term growing up, but more recently

I've thought about the kinds of "roles" I play in online games - in particular, Final

Fantasy XIV, Overwatch, and Diablo - and saw the connection between them and myself.

So my pick for Final Fantasy class/job that best describes me is…

A Scholar.

In series history, scholars are a recurring job in Final Fantasy that describes characters

who are experts in the theory of warfare and often provide support during battle.

I identified with the scholar because while I dislike reading books in real life, I do

like to absorb a lot of knowledge, whether it's via browsing through articles on the

Internet or listening to audio books of various topics.

Furthermore, I love helping people out.

The feeling of being able to give someone some great ideas, encouraging people to pursue

their dreams, or even help a friend when they're down is something that I try to aid with as

best as I can.

But like the scholar, I am easily hurt and weakened due to the kinds of armor I wear.

And while I can heal myself from time to time, the rest of the party has to continue pushing

forward so we can all defeat the next big challenge.

Pretty deep, eh?

And that's my pick for a Final Fantasy class or job that best describes me.

What's yours?

Post your reply on the comments below or send me a video response.

Just remember to message me and let me know where I can find it!

Thanks for watching and I'm looking forward to reading and watching your replies!

Five Things You Can Do To Protect Your Rights As A Tenant | #KCPublicWorks - Duration: 4:36.

- My name is Gina Chiala.

I'm an attorney with the Heartland Center

for Jobs and Freedom.

And today we're gonna talk about

five things you can do to protect your rights as a tennant.

Tip number one, get it in writing.

If you go look at a place to rent,

and the landlord tells you,

"Don't worry; this is gonna be all fixed up

by the time you move in,"

just make sure you get that in writing.

Just grab a piece of paper, write down all of the things

that the landlord should fix,

have the landlord sign it, you sign it,

also, include the date that the repairs should be done by,

and keep a copy for yourself.

If the landlord is reluctant to sign that piece of paper,

proceed with caution.

If it were me, I wouldn't sign the lease,

and I wouldn't move in.

Tip number two, once move in to your home,

make sure that you make requests for repairs in writing,

and keep a copy.

You have a right to safe and livable housing.

So, in the winter there should be heat,

and in the summer there should be ventilation.

The plumbing should work, the electrical should work,

and there shouldn't be infestations of rodents or bugs.

So, if you're home doesn't pass the test,

make a request for repairs in writing.

You can send it by email,

and keep a copy of your sent email,

or send a letter by certified letter

return receipt requested.

And if the landlord fails to make those repairs

in a reasonable amount of time,

get legal help before the situation escalates.

Tip number three, know what a landlord can do

and can't do under the law.

A landlord can't force you out of your house

without a judgment from the court.

So, that means before a landlord can force you out,

the landlord has to go to court,

serve you with a lawsuit, win the case,

and get a judgment from the court.

And even then, only the sheriff

can physically remove you and your belongings from the home,

and that doesn't happen until ten days or more,

after your landlord wins the case.

So, that means, a landlord can't change the locks

without a court order,

the landlord can't disconnect your utilities

without a court order,

and your landlord can't take your belongings

and throw them out, without permission from the court.

If this is happening to you, seek legal assistance.

Tip number four, don't ignore eviction lawsuits.

If you come home,

and you find an evictioin lawsuit on your door,

or someone comes and hands a lawsuit

to someone in your household, don't ignore it.

You may be able to prevent a judgement from happening

by negotiating with your landlord,

catching up with the rent, or asserting a legal defense.

But if you ignore the lawsuit,

then you will lose the suit,

and a judgment for eviction will be issued against you,

and having that on your record is not good.

It may make it impossible for you to rent again,

in the future.

So, if you get sued, get legal assistance right away.

Tip number five, get your deposit back.

In Missouri, a landlord has 30 days to return your deposit

to your last known address.

So, you wanna make sure that the landlord knows

where to send that deposit,

or you can have your mail forwarded to a new address.

A landlord in Missouri, has to follow two procedures

before he or she can withhold your deposit.

First of all, a landlord has to

give you notice of walkthrough.

Second of all, a landlord has to give you

an accurate accounting explaining why

all or part of your deposit was withheld.

If a landlord fails to do either of these things,

you may be entitled to double the amount

that was wrongfully withheld back.

So, get legal assistance if you're having trouble

getting your deposit back.

I thought Portuguese would be a cool language to learn

2. I want to learn a major language from each continent in the world

In South America, the biggest country is Brazil

Brazil is a country that speaks Portuguese

One day I would love to travel to South America and I thought it would be cool to learn Portuguese

It is the dominant language in Brazil

3. I want to learn about about the cultures of the countries that speak Portuguese

Through learning a language, you are going to learn about the cultures that use that language

By learning Portuguese, I have learned so much about Portugal and Brazil

That has made me happy

I love to learn about different cultures

4. Travel

I love to travel

It is a goal of mine to travel throughout the world

By learning Portuguese , it would give me a good opportunity to travel to countries that speak Portuguese

A good thing a bout Portuguese - It is used in 3 different continents

It is used in South America (Brazil) , Europe (Portugal) , Africa (Angola, Mozambique)

It is a big goal of mine to travel throughout the world

Learning Portuguese would give me the opportunity to talk to natives of these countries

5. Meet new people

A great thing about learning languages - you are going to meet people who use that language you are learning

Through apps and websites, I have encountered natives of the Portuguese language

They use Portuguese every day

Their native language

Using those apps and websites, I met so many amazing people

But it is more than that

I have created friendships and met so many interesting people

Learning languages can be a gateway to making new friends

6. I thought learning Portuguese would be easy

Many of my Brazilians think Portuguese is a hard language to learn

At first it was hard, but I always thought learning Portuguese would be easy to learn

It is between hard and easy

2014 was the time I started to learn Portuguese seriously

2014 was the Brazilian world cup

The world cup that took place in Brazil

DAY 22 OF MY JUICE FAST WEIGHT LOSS HACK HOW TO-MY WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY - Duration: 4:51.

hey guys today is day 22 my juice fast today's Friday and I'll be doing away in

on Sunday so I can give you the total weight loss you know for seven days I'm

really excited to reach the thirty pounds lost mark I will definitely

accomplish that by tomorrow hands down I will I'm just a pound away from the

thirty pound mark probably by Sunday be over total pounds weight loss thirty

over thirty pounds and I'm really happy about that my goal is by the 11th of

February to fingers cross be 18 pounds down more I'm trying to get yeah

eighteen pounds I know that's impossible but we'll see I might have to change up

what kind of juice is that I'm drinking and maybe that'll help me get to the

extra 18 pounds that I want to have gone before the thirty days of my first phase

of the juice cleanse because this is phase one 30 days we a complete phase so

I want to go out with the bay so I'm trying to do the impossible and after

Sunday's weigh-in my goal is to try to by the 11th get close to 18 pounds loss

extra weight on top of the 30 pounds that I'm close to losing as a Sunday or

maybe tomorrow but with that all being said yes I'm

losing weight getting in shape my skin looks beautiful the whites of my eyes

are nice and white my mind is very clear not foggy like it was I had a

day um that I think that there was a lot of toxins coming out of my body and I

kinda was really emotional and I just felt like everyone was against me and

things weren't going right that day that was on Tuesday of this week and the next

day I snapped out of it which was Wednesday and I'm back on track again

but when I was feeling these emotions it had nothing to do with food I haven't

changed any of my lifestyle but that I drink fresh juice every day for my meals

and I'm not eating anything solid but I still look at my YouTube videos that

that show mukbangs which is food you know the eating show videos I share them

to my Twitter or my facebook getting different recipes on how I'm going to

cook and it's not going to be a plant-based cooking but just getting new

ideas incorporating meat poultry and seafood so you know it's always nice to

try different dishes and also from different cultures especially when you

start you know eating again you want to not be bored or find yourself making the

same thing over and over again I'm definitely going to stop eating an

asian-influenced meal for the most part I love Mexican

food so at least once a week I will be eating like tacos but I'm gonna put a

twist on it I have like smoked turkey and chicken that shredded up that I

stood down from a couple of months ago and I froze it and I had put some of the

vegetable pulp inside of the shredded meat so basically what I would do is I

would individually take out a bag of that mixture and put taco

in it and make tacos but you know like I said I of course can't wait to start

back eating but I'm no way is going to stop this juice fast until I reach my

goal weight I'm tired of starting over and it's just

time to change so with all that being said please subscribe share and like

this video and make it a favorite and I'll see you in the next video

Bedroom Setup 2018 EP:1 - Duration: 9:44.

Hey guys bailey here from the tech show and we are doing a massive setup change

So this is what we have going on right now

Monitors hanging from that. This is the table super messy. I have a small webcam set up there which is gonna show it all

this is how my rooms looking in a disaster right now, and I am making my

2018 room setup

Stuff is definitely going to change from what its gonna look like at the end of this video. This is day 1 and

I'm gonna keep you updated. Well. This is edit 1

this is episode 1 of

this year's and every single time we change or do something new I'll make a new episode about it and

Then final episode will hopefully come final on

Okay, so this is what we have done. I basically took everything out

Yes, and even took this thing off which was holding

three computers

Which is a lot?

Two of those are servers and ones gaming that's going to change it's gonna be part of this series

It's not a good thing that that's all running through one

power outlet

So I'm also going to change that if I'm running those servers even in here

so

Obviously you can see nothing is in the wall now

Monitors are

sitting

Throw mount there

Let's look a few bins off, but I've been

scrubbing the walls

for some time

See that

that needs to be like ten times worse and

everywhere on this wall like I

Know it's white, but you could probably pin point out

That some mics there

marks there

that

You know that used to be this entire wall. There's even one super bad right there

but I spent 20 minutes scrubbing it and

That's the surround sound system

We just don't have to do that review on um

left

Grade speaker, that's also changing and putting those back on at the desk instead

Tomorrow's plan is I clean this out tomorrow is

Taking that out and drilling a hole in the back for cable management

So then I can route all the cables

neatly too and

If I have to around them well have it push out a little bit to have the cables

Cables up to the monitor, I'm gonna drill a hole for announcing keyboard

It's gonna be clean

Heating in this room is extremely bad

So I think what I'm gonna get as a fan or an air conditioner or powered AC or something to keep this room cool

Cuz my computer runs very hot so I have three fans in it to keep it cool

So that's basically what I've done day one

I have done day one you guys are excited to see how it's gonna come on

this whole thing is gonna be maybe a three or four part series and

like I'm gonna do my office and

Then I'm gonna show you guys what I'm doing with my room tables gonna be up

I'm gonna build a drift of I'm not gonna spoil it, but this is the mess

After taking everything out, that's the mixer by the way, this is a laptop. I recorded it on with the webcam

This is the mess

Three computers, that's all my wires

Which is not good, but?

I'm gonna head in bed, and I will see you guys tomorrow

Bye

Top 5 Facts About Mew - Duration: 5:08.

Yoooo...Its your boy SoundProof back on that Pokemon *ISH!

On today's Top Five video we'll be listing a couple of Mew facts that you may or may

not know.

I know everyone has seen Pokemon: the First Movie at least once.

I loved that part where Mew and Mewtwo squared off hovering over a sea of real and clone

Pokemon.

Also that part where clone Pikachu was slapping Ash's Pikachu.

It was so heart wrenching!

No, I'm not crying I'm just sweating from my eyes.

Mew was one of those Pokemon you just knew was special by just staring at it.

You know I really can't put my finger on it, but there was something special about it.

I guess I'm just brainwashed by the First Movie and that one with Lucario.

Anyway that's enough stalling you want to hear the facts right?

Well let's start with number 5.

Its been said that Mew has the DNA of every single Pokémon contained within its body,

and as such is able to learn any attack.

You know thinking back those diaries on Cinnabar Island did mention that it was believed by

scientists to be the ancestor of all other Pokémon, which, is kinda apparent now since

it has a strong resemblance to an embryo.

I can't believe that I never noticed this...its so obvious that Mew is an embryo.

I must of been a stupid, stupid little kid man.

I guess even Game Freak knew they were sitting on a gold mine with Pokemon.

Because did you happen to know that Mew was the very first Pokémon trademark ever to

be applied for and registered, which is the reason why it was named "the ancestor of all

Pokémon."

I get it so it works in game wise and real world too.

However, that's kinda odd considering what number one on this list will be.

Back when Red and Blue first came out there was a very strong myth that pulled us all

in.

Well if you went to the truck near the S.S. Anne and used strength on it, the truck would

move and a pokeball containing a mew would appear where it was.

I can't start to tell you how many hours I wasted using strength on that stupid truck.

My character would spend days in front of the truck, behind the truck, and on the side

of the truck, but nothing ever happened.

I can't even begin to explain why I thought it was true, now that I lookback on it of

course the whole thing was stupid.

Ditto is considered to be a failed Mew clone because of numerous clues left in the Pokemon

Mansion.

Amongst the rubble and wreckage is information written by the scientist who obtained a Mew

and cloned it to create Mewtwo.

Perhaps eventually an extremely powerful one was born breaking free and maybe even destroying

the laboratory.

(Even if they tried to pinning it on a volcano) What happened to the fail clones well some

believe that they went to be with Mewtwo hence why some Ditto are found in the Cerulean Cave.

Are they remnants of this experiment.

Who knows, but think about it both Mew and Ditto are pink, and both are the only Pokemon

that can naturally learn Transform.

Without Mew, the series could very well have stalled before it had a chance to get going,

so it may surprise you to know that Mew was added to the game by an overzealous programmer

at the very last moment.

During the final stages of development, programmer Morimoto removed the developer debug mode

from Pokémon, freeing up a tiny 300 bytes of cartridge space.

As a bit of a gag, Morimoto decided to use those bytes to slip in one last Pokemon of

his own creation, and thus the mysterious Mew was born.

Mew was never intended to be accessible by players; it was just supposed to be a fun

little secret for the developers of the game.

So Mew wasn't originally going to be an actual Pokémon; it was originally just a prank set

up by the developers, and behind the creators' backs, no less.

However, due to all the publicity it got, it became official.

So that's why those games were so glitchy the programmer took out the debug program.

Who knew that Mew was the last Pokemon created yet the first one trademarked.

You learn something new everyday.

Well I hope you enjoyed this top five fact video.

Subscribe and Like for my awesome content in the future.

And until next time its your boy SoundProof back on that Pokemon *ISH!

Peace.

Crunching Data & Saving Cash - Duration: 5:27.

>>> SO I HAD A QUESTION.

WHEN'S RUSH HOUR IN NEW YORK

CITY?

THAT'S PRETTY BOTHERSOME.

I WAS LIKE THESE CABS AREN'T

JUST NUMBERS, THEY'RE DRIVING

AROUND THIS CITY AND COLLECTING

OUR DATA.

THE AVERAGE SPEED OF TAXIS

THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

FROM AROUND MIDNIGHT TO 5:00

A.M. IN THE MORNING AND AT THAT

POINT THING TURN AROUND AND THEY

GET SLOWER AND SLOWER AND SLOWER

UNTIL ABOUT 8:30 IN THE MORNING,

WHERE THEY END UP 11.5 MILES AN

HOUR IN OUR CITY STREETS AND IT

TURNS OUT IT STAYS THAT WAY

THROUGH THE ENTIRE DAY.

SO I GUESS THERE'S NO RUSH HOUR

IN NEW YORK CITY, THERE'S JUST A

RUSH DAY.

>> THAT WAS BEN WELLINGTON FROM

THE BLOG I HART NEW YORK.

A SCIENTIST WHO HAS CALLED HIM A

MATHEMATICAL DEEJAY, HE USES

INFORMATION FROM DIFFERENT

AGENCIES TO UNCOVER PROBLEMS.

IN JUST THE PAST FEW YEARS HE'S

USED HIS BLOG TO CHANGE HOW WE

PAY FOR THINGS LIKE CABS AND

METRO CARDS AND HE'S TOLD US

WHAT RESTAURANTS ARE THE

CLEANEST IN THE CITY.

SLIDERS'S IS ON THE MENTION.

HE'S A VISITING PROFESSOR, HEY,

BEN, NICE TO HAVE YOU WITH US.

EXPLAIN TO US, JUST WHAT IS OPEN

DATA AND WHY IS IT SORT

IMPORTANT?

>> OPEN DATA IS WHEN GOVERNMENT

AGENCIES PUT DATA ON THE WEB FOR

US TO GET, INSTEAD OF MAKING A

CHART OR A GRAPH.

THE DIFFERENT IS WHEN AN AGENCY

MAKES A GRAPH OR A PLOT OR A

REPORT, THEY HAVE THEIR OWN

NARRATIVE OF WHAT THEY'RE SAYING

TO SAY.

IT'S NOT NECESSARILY A BAD

THING, BUT THEY HAVE A VIEW.

BUT WITH OPEN DATA, THEY'RE

PUTTING RAW DATA ON THE WEB FOR

OTHER PEOPLE TO MAKE THEIR OWN

NARRATIVES.

>> I WANT TO TALK ABOUT SOME OF

THE STUDIES YOU'VE DONE.

WE JUST SAW THE RUSH HOUR, WHICH

I THOUGHT WAS GREAT.

AND YOU DID SOMETHING THAT

WAS -- I DON'T USE METRO CARDS

BUT I KNOW SOME PEOPLE THAT DO,

AND SOME PEOPLE SAY DO I HAVE

SOMETHING LEFT ON THIS?

WHAT DID YOU FIND?

>> I DID A MATHEMATICAL PROOF

THAT SAID IF YOU USE THE BUTTONS

THAT THE MTA PROVIDES ON THE

MACHINE, YOU CAN LITERALLY NEVER

EMPTY YOU CARD, YOU LITERALLY

CANNOT GET ZERO DOLLARS, THIS IS

FROM THE OLD FARE SYSTEM.

INSTEAD OF HITTING THE $19, IT

WOULD GIVE YOU $19.95 WITH $2.50

SO YOU DO THE MATH AND YOU

ALWAYS END UP WITH $2.45.

SO I CAME UP WITH A WAY TO GET

AROUND THAT, BUT MORE

IMPORTANTLY I PUSHED ON THE MTA

AND I SAID EVERYWHERE ESPECIALLY

IN THE WORLD YOU SAY YOU WANT TO

BUY SOMETHING AND SAY I WANT TO

BUY SOMETHING AND PAY FOR IT.

BUT YOU CAN'T GO INTO THE METRO

SYSTEM AND SAY I WANT THREE

RIDES.

TO THEIR CREDIT THE NEXT YEAR,

THEY ADDED A NEW BUTTON TO EVERY

VENDING MACHINE IN THE CITY.

>> CALLED THE BEN WELLINGTON

BUTTON.

>> THERE'S A $10, A $20, OR A

$21.25.

IF YOU HILT THAT BUTTON, YOU GET

EXACTLY 11 RIDES.

SO ZERO BALANCE IS ALWAYS NICE.

>> ANOTHER FASCINATING ONE, YOU

TOOK A LOOK AT FIRE HYDRANTS, A

COUPLE IN PARTICULAR, IN THE

NOTION OF GENERATING REVENUE OFF

OF FIRE HYDRANTS.

>> YOU CAN ASK SO MANY QUESTIONS

ABOUT IT, WHERE ARE THE OLDEST

CARS IN NEW YORK, DO POLICE

OFFICERS FOLLOW A PARTICULAR

PATH, AND I WAS JUST CURIOUS

WHICH HYDRANTS WERE GENERATING

THE MOST PARKING TICKET REVENUE.

I FOUND THAT THE UPPER EAST SIDE

IN MANHATTAN TICKETS INCREDIBLY

HIGH AMOUNTS, BUT I FOUND THESE

TWO HYDRANTS ON THE EAST SIDE

WHICH TOGETHER WERE GENERATING

OVER $50,000 A YEAR JUST IN

TICKETS, NOT INCLUDING TOW FEES.

>> THAT WOULD GET YOUR

ATTENTION, $50,000 FROM FIRE

HYDRANTS.

>> THE FIRE DEPARTMENT PAINTED

THE SIDEWALK AND THERE WAS

SOMETHING THAT LOOKED LIKE A

BIKE LANE, BUT IT WAS A CURB

EXTENSE WHERE PEOPLE BIKED.

>> I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT

MEANS.

>> IT WAS LIKE A SIDEWALK, BUT

THEY USED THE STREET TO MAKE IT

WIDER.

BUT DRIVERS DON'T EITHER.

THIS WAS HAPPENING FOR SUCH A

LONG TIME AND WHEN I WROTE ABOUT

IT, IT ENDED UP BEING IN THE

LONDON DAILY MAIL AND THESE

HYDRANTS.

AND WITHIN A FEW WEEKS, THE

HIGHWAY STREETS DEPARTMENT

REPAINTED THE STREET.

>> IT'S A CURIOSITY.

IT'S A FASCINATING SUBJECT, THE

WORK THAT YOU'RE DOING, WE'LL

LOOK FORWARD TO YOU COMING BACK

AND TALKING FURTHER.

THANK YOU FOR JOINING US. 144 00:05:22,722 >> THANK YOU.
