Oh, school?

Um...

I don't want to go, but I get anxious if I don't go.

If I could never to go school again,

I'll probably really want to go.

Strange, isn't it?

(Lee Eunbi, Tongyeong Nuri high school)

My least favorite time in school?

It is the break time.

I have three jobs.

When I graduate, I need to

leave House of Love and move out.

My dream is to become a teacher.

One who understands what kids are saying,

hiding and what they're lying about.

(Tongyeong)

(Nuri high school)

Happy birthday to you

Happy birthday to you

Happy birthday Soyeong

Happy birthday to you

Ta da!

Surprise!

- What are you doing? / - This isn't all.

Let go.

Let go.

- Step one. / - Ba-bam!

Crack open the eggs.

First, crack open the eggs.

- Step two. / - Ba-bam!

Then pour on

a lot of flour.

- Step three. / - Ba-bam.

Add plenty of

the special sauce

and the special cake is complete!

Soyeong.

Happy birthday!

It's a shame we have no candles.

But thanks.

I'm so moved.

I love you.

- I love you. / - Me too.

(Lee Eunbi)

The Seoul-Busan line was built by

Choi Namseon, who studied abroad

in Japan returned in 1908...

But hey.

What was that special sauce?

That?

What is that?

Fish sauce?

It stinks, right?

I washed it with soap several times, but the smell...

Will you move away?

Sure.

Excuse me.

I think someone farted. It smells funny.

Quiet!

We'll end here.

Lee Eunbi, come to the office.

How many times is this?

Why are you always in your gym uniform?

I gave you a warning you last time.

Is someone picking on you?

You need to tell me, so I can help you.

No, there is nothing to tell you.

(Episode 1)

Yeongho and Seungmin.

What are you doing?

- This is mine! / - It's mine!

It's mine!

There's plenty of soup. Why are you fighting?

This one doesn't have much scallions and radish.

If you don't finish your vegetables...

This is all so...

You can grow to be strong!

Still.

Just once, can't you leave out the scallions? Please?

You cute little things.

Then I'll give in

or so you thought

but not a chance!

Finish every last piece of your vegetables.

Everyone hap!

Hap!

Put the dishes in the sink and brush your teeth well.

Can you do that?

Yes!

Challenge

accepted.

Challenge accepted.

Rajin.

What's happened here?

I fell.

How?

How did you fall? How?

Just, while playing with some kids.

Look me in the eye.

It's okay.

Kid, the kids were just playing.

What's the big deal?

Ma'am, when you play,

both sides are supposed to have fun.

But our Rajin didn't have any fun and

got hurt!

So what?

Dongu, apologize to Rajin.

Promise not to bother her anymore, too.

I'm not moving an inch until you do.

Eunbi.

Why are you hiding?

Just apologize, then!

Do it!

Sorry. I won't do it again.

Promise.

Are you happy now?

Let's go.

That stubborn mule.

Maybe it's because she has no parents.

Why were you playing with someone like...

Ouch! Mommy, that hurts!

Want a piggy-back ride?

Rajin.

Even if it's a really close friend,

you should say if it hurts

or that you don't like it

or that it's wrong.

That way, they won't treat you badly again.

Okay?

Like you just did?

Yes.

Thanks, Eunbi.

You are

a gift from heaven

in place of a mommy.

Magical things happened to Sara every day.

Every time she opened her closet,

there was a new thing

or her shabby attic room was transformed into

a beautiful princess' room.

No matter what happens

I know for sure that

there is someone who cares about me.

I am not sad or lonely

anymore.

Eunbi.

Can you come out for a minute?

This came for you this afternoon, but I forgot.

It's from Gangnam, so it must be that person

who sent you sneakers before.

Yes, I think so.

Whoever it is, she must have really liked you.

She always sends you gifts.

I was at the department store shopping for my daughter

and thought of you, and bought one for you, too.

Song Migyeong.

Try it.

What do you think?

It's pretty.

It's incredible.

She got my shoe size perfectly last time, too.

And this is totally my style.

(Seoul)

Eunbyeol. Go Eunbyeol!

Mom.

It's not a trip around the world.

It's three nights in Tongyeong in Gyeongsangnam-do.

We'll take a bus, take some pictures and come back.

Did I say anything?

Why do I need all this stuff?

I took everything out in case you forgot something.

Pick just what you want to take.

Keep your word.

You don't trust your own mom?

What, that's it?

That's it.

Still...

- Mom. / - Hold on.

Hold on.

This.

Just take one more then.

You'll get bored of playing after a while

so read it when you get bored.

You are impossible.

Here.

I haven't seen this before.

I got it with a friend.

What is with that cold attitude?

Will I get it dirty if I touch it?

Here.

- Bye. / - Oh, Eunbyeol.

Hold on.

Wear this at night when it gets cold. You catch a cold

easily since your respiratory system is weak.

Okay, I will.

Mom, you know...

Never mind.

Get lots of rest while I'm away.

I will.

Have a safe trip, my precious daughter.

Bye, Mom. I'll be back soon.

Cha Songju isn't here yet?

She's probably late putting make-up on.

Here she comes.

Here.

I'm so annoyed.

This stupid uniform hides my body too much.

It's okay.

Your body itself is amazing.

Great observation, Eunbyeol.

I like your sneakers.

Tada.

What? Oh my gosh, how embarrassing.

Are you two dating?

You think it ends there?

We are wearing

matching underwear, too.

- Right. / - Hot pink.

- You forgot? / - I wore it.

Liar.

You always get defensive when you feel guilty.

- Let me see. / - What?

- Let me see what color you're wearing. / - Stop that.

Get over here!

Hold on.

What is it? What color is it?

Show me, too.

Show you what?

Get lost.

Show us!

- Attention! / - Show us!

- Show us! / - Attention!

I'm warning you again.

The most important thing for a fun school trip is...

First, safety.

Second, safety.

Third, safety.

If you feel sick or anything is wrong, let

the teachers know, so we can take you to the hospital.

Don't just take off without telling us...

He just loves being the class president.

Is anyone missing?

Gong Taegwang had a personal matter.

Han Ian has a competition.

Other than them, everyone else is here.

It's the high school male 400 m freestyle.

The swimmers are warming up.

This 400 m freestyle is unusual because

some of them have won big competitions.

That's right. Lane three. Segwang High's Han Ian.

- Yes! / - Lane four. Uhyeon High's Kim Ujin.

They are the strongest favorites.

- That's right. / - I can't wait to see them swim.

It is about to begin.

And they're off!

As expected, the two of them are neck and neck.

It's close. Han Ian in lane three.

Kim Ujin in lane four. They are fighting for first.

Their times are good.

28.14 seconds.

Five meters. Han Ian. Kim Ujin. Han Ian. Kim Ujin.

Han Ian came in first!

Han Ian set a new record and won the gold.

Han Ian has written a page in high school

freestyle history.

Gold medal.

Han Ian in lane three won the gold.

Four minutes three seconds...

What are you listening to?

Nothing.

- Let me listen. / - Your make-up got smeared.

What? Where?

Thank you.

- Let's go. / - May I touch your gold medal?

This?

Wow.

Congratulations, Ian.

You're lucky. You're always winning medals.

Is that really gold?

Can I have one?

No.

You should win your own gold medal.

I can't swim as fast as you.

Cheapskate. I don't want it.

I don't want to give you this.

When I win my first medal in a national competition,

I'll give that to you. Okay?

Whatever. I don't believe you.

You won't give me this small medal, but

you'll give me the medal from something that big?

Silly. I won't give this to you because it's small.

Whatever. Forget it.

I don't know how you do so well in school

with that brain of yours.

What did you say?

Got the gold medal.

So what?

Just saying.

Oh yes. We're at a rest stop.

Tongyeong is close from here.

So what?

Just saying.

How do you feel?

You're lost for words, right?

Do well on the 100 m tomorrow, too.

Yes, Sir.

Excuse me, Coach?

What is it?

Nothing.

There.

The one in the beige trench coat is Piggy Mom.

Why is it so hard to meet my kid's classmate's mom?

She's harder to meet than Zo Insung or Won Bin.

- Right? / - I know.

Thanks, honey.

Buy dinner. Something expensive.

Let's go in.

Hi.

Come in.

Did you wait long?

She's Eunbyeol's friend's mom.

Her husband runs Gukje Plastic Surgery Hospital.

Wow. I'd believe it if you said she were a model.

A mom has time to look that good?

I'm jealous. What's your secret?

I don't know. My secret?

Being born with a great body?

Just kidding.

Sit down.

I need to go. I have a lecture out of town.

- Shall we go? / - Sure.

We just got here. Stay 10 more minutes.

I need to get to the shop, so I can't stay.

Yes, we just got here.

Then just 10 minutes.

Fine, 10 minutes.

Well...

I've really wanted to meet you.

Okay.

But it's too bad, we can't even eat dinner together.

Give me a call sometime.

Oh my. Thank you.

Thank you.

Oh my gosh!

Hey! Eunbyeol!

Hey, Ian

won the gold medal!

Isn't he super cool?

Is that right?

Good for him.

- What? That's it? / - What else?

- It's not like I won it. / - Brat.

You guys fought again?

Why are you guys always fighting?

It's because we've seen

too much of each other since childhood.

What, should I dance or something?

Like this?

You're impossible.

(Past is the past. You can't make it unhappened)

Jeong Suin?

Do it again.

You're so clumsy.

Hey.

Hey, Eunbyeol.

Oh right!

I saw Suin's mom yesterday.

- Suin? / - The incident at the school a year ago...

Oh, her?

She moved back to Carriage Tower.

I live there too.

But what happened at

the school a year ago?

Ask Eunbyeol's mom.

Didn't you say Eunbyeol and Suin were close?

Oh... no.

They were in the same class before.

Did something happen?

There was no time for anything to happen.

Eunbyeol.

What's gotten into you?

It's nothing.

Give me that.

Did something bad happen?

You're killing me. Eat this and talk.

I'm not hungry.

Doesn't the smell make you hungry?

Open your mouth.

I said I don't feel like it.

Are you okay?

Eunbyeol.

You're out of line.

Kids.

It's Tongyeong!

Rajin, that's enough.

I'm fine.

You're still hot.

I mean it. I'm all better, thanks to you.

Were you worried?

You have lots of friends at school and are

popular here in the House of Love

but if you get sick,

I'll have nobody.

Okay.

I promise not to get sick.

Want me to make your favorite spicy rice cakes?

Yes, extra spicy, please.

Okay.

Who is that?

Eunbi! Come quick!

Please, have some.

Hi Eunbi.

Eunbi, are you feeling okay?

We were so worried.

How did you...

We were supposed to volunteer at

a senior center today, but we heard

Eunbi was sick, so we thought we'd visit

and changed volunteer locations.

Is that all right?

We'd be grateful.

Since you're Eunbi's friends, you're always welcome.

Thank you.

Please, eat.

Hey, Outcast.

You do this. You're the one who will eat this.

Isn't this place run by our parents' tax dollars?

So, if you have any consciousness, you should serve us.

Right.

Stop trying to receive all the time.

Got it?

Eunbi!

Oh my.

It's you.

Eunbi has told me a lot about you.

Your name was...

What was it again?

- Rajin. / - That's it. Rajin.

But

why were you doing that to her?

Rajin, it's...

Can't you tell?

We were playing.

Playing.

When you play,

the other person is supposed to have fun too.

Eunbi, are you having fun?

Or does it hurt?

We really were playing.

I'm having fun too.

Oh, I see.

True, you are so popular.

This is how you play?

With innocent kids?

There is nothing Eunbi can't do.

She makes spicy rice cakes really well, too.

Right?

Right.

Really?

What do you put in it that makes it so good?

Is it

fish sauce?

Thank you for today.

Not at all.

Anyway

I'm worried because Eunbi still looks very ill.

Smile a little.

Look at her sweating.

Are you okay?

- Director. / - Yes?

Oh right.

My father's scholarship foundation is

looking for a new organization to sponsor.

So

I was thinking of suggesting House of Love.

I would be so grateful.

Her father is Prosecutor Gang Ilsang.

- You know of him, right? / - Of course.

Everyone in Tongyeong knows of him.

I didn't know you were our benefactor's daughter.

You must get your caring heart from your father.

Not at all.

I owe Eunbi a lot.

She helped me a lot from the day

I transferred here from Seoul.

Is that right?

You must be tired. Please, eat.

I won.

- So pretty. / - I know, right?

How can you use the exact same tricks I used

when I went on school trips?

I'm disappointed.

I'm taking all these.

I thought you'd let a couple of them slide and

pretend not to see them.

We're disappointed too.

You poor things.

You're stuck with a clueless teacher.

Good night.

Put them in.

Soyeong.

Can we talk?

You've got some nerve.

How dare you called me this late at night?

What is it?

Earlier

you said your father's scholarship foundation is

looking to sponsor someone new.

Is that true?

Why? Are you interested?

I thought

you'd say no because of me.

The director is having

a tough time with finances right now.

It's not for me to say yes or no.

What are you babbling about?

If you're going to ask for a favor, do it right.

So what?

You want me to help or what?

Help us, please.

I wonder if my dad is home.

Let me call him.

Oh, I forgot my phone.

Lend me yours. You seem anxious.

Where did she go?

What?

Who is that?

A guy...

(Get your butt in again and I will...)

- What did he say? / - What?

There will be good news soon. Just wait.

You have a call.

Answer it.

- Hello? / - Eunbi! You little punk!

You want to die?

You disgusting, good for nothing...

(I'm gonna beat you some day so keep it quiet)

What? Scholarship foundation?

You're so funny.

That kid Rajin said

she wants to be a cool girl like you when she grows up.

She has no idea you're like this.

I'll pray for Rajin

that she ends up just like you.

Later.

Gang Soyeong.

You are incorrigible.

- What? / - You think

you have everything you want, don't you?

But do you know something?

In my eyes

from the day you transferred here in grade school

you've looked pitiful.

Is that right?

And you've been keeping it in this entire time?

Keep going. What?

Keep going!

Get away from me. Get away!

Hit me, if you can.

You can't even look me in the eye.

What? Pitiful?

Soyeong!

Well...

Eunbyeol.

Here!

Thank you.

Where's Eunbyeol?

How would I know?

Just leave her. She's so annoying.

Hasn't Eunbyeol been acting weird?

Actually, last night...

I know, she was in the corner of the room

studying by herself, right?

She's my friend, but I can't stand her at times.

She gets all angry and ruins our mood.

How could she study after doing that?

Hey.

That's true.

Don't worry about Eunbyeol.

Let's just have fun ourselves.

What should we do?

(House of Love)

Hello?

Is this House of Love?

Hello, I'm Eunbi's friend

Gyeonga.

A friend from middle school.

Can you give me her cell phone number?

- What would you like? / - Two americanos, please.

Okay.

Here's your receipt. Thank you.

How could you do something so frightening?

Go see Soyeong in the hospital and apologize

before she presses charges for assault.

Isn't that your phone?

It keeps ringing.

Number 27.

Your coffee is ready.

Thank you.

Excuse me.

May I leave early? I have something urgent.

- Sure. / - Thank you.

Close your eyes. Are they closed?

- Yes. / - Okay, I'm putting it on.

All done.

You won't be disappointed. One, two, three. Tada!

What?

Don't touch it. You look totally sexy.

You said you'd make it like yours.

Let's go.

Oh okay.

Let's go.

Is someone there?

Is it you again?

How long will you keep this up?

Hey, Lee Sijin!

- Cha Songju. / - What?

We're trying to take a group picture. Hurry.

Okay.

- Let's go. / - Okay.

Let's take a picture! Get in!

All together!

Is everyone here?

Who's missing? Raise your hand.

Here!

Three people are missing.

Okay, just one person now.

Who is that?

That would be me.

Stop joking. Who is it?

Who's missing?

Who is it?

Eunbyeol...

Eunbyeol isn't here.

- Call her. / - Okay.

It's off.

Where did you see Eunbyeol last?

I saw her.

I think she was pooping in the bathroom.

Go Eunbyeol!

Eunbyeol!

Eunbyeol!

Eunbyeol!

Eunbyeol, I know you're in there.

Come out.

Eunbyeol, let's talk...

Where did she go?

Eunbyeol.

Go Eunbyeol!

- Go Eunbyeol! / - Eunbyeol!

Go Eunbyeol!

Eunbyeol!

- Go Eunbyeol! / - Please be advised that

the cable car will stop running for the day.

- You can't find her? / - No.

- Over there. / - If you're taking the cable car down

please head over now.

Stop.

Stop right there.

You'll never find a person like this.

There are dozens of cameras and thousands of people.

Did Eunbyeol

say anything unusual or

act different than usual?

She seemed to be in a bad mood, but you know

how she gets sensitive at times.

And you, Sijin?

Did you notice anything unusual?

Well...

What is it? Tell me.

Last night

I saw her fighting with some guy.

What?

Some guy?

That brat. She doesn't even call.

Is she sleeping already?

No way. She's probably having fun.

Your call is being forwarded to voicemail.

Hello?

Ms. Song?

Eunbyeol...

My keys.

Next up is the high school, male division.

The finals for the 100 m freestyle is coming up.

Competitors, please come to the pool.

Han Ian is creating waves all through the competition.

That's correct. Not many people were

interested in Han Ian before this competition.

Yes. I have a feeling Han Ian is going to become

a huge star after this competition.

The race has begun. But wait.

Han Ian hasn't jumped in.

Did he not jump in or was it that he couldn't?

Eunbyeol, where are you?

Ms. Song.

Bye, Mom. I'll be back soon.

Sir.

Where...

Where is my Eunbyeol?

We're still waiting to hear.

The other kids are all here.

Why is my Eunbyeol the only one missing?

You all left together.

Why didn't you bring my Eunbyeol back?

Why...

Why is my Eunbyeol the only one who isn't home?

Why? Why?

Please, you need to calm down.

No, let's go. Let's go.

Let's go, now.

Don't just stand there! Let's go!

The police are patrolling, so if you'd wait...

Who knows what could've happened last night?

Eunbyeol...

Eunbyeol...

Eunbyeol...

Eunbyeol...

Soyeong

needs psychiatric therapy.

Imagine how frightening and painful it is for her

to be in the same room with her attacker.

Lee Eunbi.

Apologize to Gang Soyeong.

I

did nothing wrong.

I thought about it, over and over

and over again

but

I am justified.

- Why you! / - Honey.

Calm down.

I request that you use your wise judgment

and punish her strictly.

Let's go.

- Prosecutor Gang! / - Prosecutor Gang!

You will be officially expelled from school

after two weeks of consideration period.

You may go now.

Ma'am.

I'll stay until the end of day.

It's my last day in school.

I don't want to feel like I'm being kicked out.

Eunbi.

I heard you were expelled.

Considering the threatening texts you sent us

and hospitalizing Soyeong

they went too lightly on you.

Eunbi.

Don't be too sad about not seeing me anymore.

I'll go visit where you work and

play with you often.

What a friend.

There is something

I really want to ask you.

Why do you do this to me?

You want to know?

Then I'll have to tell you.

Well...

Just

because.

I just hate you because you're Lee Eunbi.

Ugh, I smell Lee Eunbi.

Isn't that the fish sauce smell?

- I made that. / - Impressive.

Gang Soyeong.

Just how low will you go?

- You're already the worst. / - Why you...

Girls.

Close the curtain.

Stop it.

Stop it.

Stop it!

Smile, will you?

Act out again,

and I will

release this video.

(Lee Eunbi)

(Lee Eunbi)

Bye friends.

I have nothing to fear right now

other than the fact that my daughter is not with me.

Nothing changes because Eunbyeol is gone.

Hi Eunbyeol! It's cool seeing you like this.

- It's Mom. / - Mom?

I'm her mom.

I was happy kid.

Do you really not remember

or are you pretending?

Hey, Eunbyeol!

Who are you?

It's okay, since you're back, Eunbyeol.

Miniponics: Choosing Plants Part 1 - Duration: 4:18.

This mini aquaponics system can grow a variety of

plants and you'll see here we have some peppers.

We also have some sugar snap peas and kale. We've

got lettuce and cilantro growing in here. This

system can be adapted to grow a lot of different

styles of plants some of them grow a little bit

better than others. Some things to consider are

the temperature that you're going to grow and what

is the ambient environment. So some some plants

grow a little bit better in room temperature like

going around the 70 degree mark lettuce is going

to be a really good one for that. Some grow better

at warmer temperatures for example Basler does

really well in the high 80s even up into the 90s

in terms of Fahrenheit. But you're going to want

to try to grow some plants that first of all you

want to eat or ones that are pretty to look at. So

we can grow flowers in here. We can grow fruits we

can grow leafy greens and herbs we can grow other

types of vegetables. You know you can grow just

about anything in here but things you want to

consider is how easy they are to grow. How much

light do the plants need. What is the rotation

time of that plant. You know if you're going to

grow lettuce it doesn't take maybe about 30 to 45

days to grow a whole plant in here versus

something like these peppers are going to take

several months to grow things to avoid. You might

not want to grow corn because it's going to get

bigger than the system as it might grow taller

than your roof. But small things are really good

in here but it can grow a variety of things. And

it's all up to you and what you want to grow.

We've been growing plants in here for a while and

actually have had to trim back a lot of the plants

here so we've had this things looked a lot more

woolly and bushy than this right here. This is

kind of tame back but you can pick some of those

kale leaves off of there and eat those just right

and a salad. Back here in the back. We've got some

sugar snap peas and I saved one right here for

y'all so you can see it. We've also got some

cilantro and some lettuce growing in here. So lots

of things that you can go through and pick and eat.

So if you now if you look a little bit closer at

this system we have this this gravel here. This

these clay pebbles and these plants are growing

inside of here. They wick up the moisture pretty

well. You can see there a little bit wet right now

just sort of moist to the touch and the way this

system is designed to sort of ebb and flow or

flood and drain style system and so will have the

water going up and down all the time so we can get

moisture on the plant roots as well as some air

ration and oxygen going to the plant roots. So that's

really important for this plant to be able to go

through a wet dry cycle for them to grow some

plants really don't like wet roots all that much.

They need to make sure and get oxygen to those

plant roots. Some people like to put worms in here

so they can compost some of the the waste that

comes from the fish. But the bacteria is doing a

pretty good job of breaking that down also. But

we've got about a half square meter of growing

area here. And based on the number of fish that we

have in the feed inputs you can see how much plant

biomass we're able to grow here. This system

provides a lot of nitrogen out of the fish food.

And so that's really good for growing leafy greens

and any of the green matter that we have growing

here. You can see like this there's peppers doing

really well. It's not just about nitrogen. You've

got potassium and phosphorus that are also

important in our fish food doesn't provide quite

as much. It doesn't really provide potassium and

it doesn't provide that much phosphorus so you may

have to supplement some of those nutrients in

order to grow larger plants that have higher

resource demands. Another thing to keep in mind is

that we can have nutrient deficiencies in terms of

iron. So you can see some of the yellowing in the

leaves on these plants. There's a number of

different types of deficiencies but iron is a very

common one and we use a key laded iron to make

sure that stays suspended in the water column.

Some of those lower value crops you'd be looking

at things like commodity crops like corn and

soybeans or you know pumpkins and squashes and

those sorts of things things that take up a lot of

space but they also.

Servo Motor Advantages And Disadvantages - Duration: 15:10.

In this lesson we will continue the discussion on the topic of motion control.

All of us at RealPars, hope you have been following our previous lessons

motion control and have begun to benefit from these lessons.

Now that we have learned about motion control motors,

we can begin to explore some advantages and disadvantages when selecting,

primarily between, the Servo Motor and Stepper Motor.

In this lesson we discuss Servo Motor Advantages

and Disadvantages when compared to Stepper Motors.

First let's remember what we have learned about servo motor basics.

The Servo Motor has the same construction of DC motor,

it has a stator, rotor and controlling assemblies.

It also has feedback for controlling the speed & torque.

A Servo Motor is a self-contained electrical device,

that rotate parts of a machine

with high efficiency and with great precision.

The output shaft of this motor can be moved to a particular angle,

position and velocity that a regular motor does not have.

The Servo Motor utilizes a regular motor

and couples it with a sensor for positional feedback,

the controller is the most important part of the Servo Motor

designed and used specifically for this purpose.

The Servo Motor is a closed-loop mechanism

that incorporates positional feedback

in order to control the rotational or linear speed and position.

The motor is controlled with an electric signal,

either analog or digital, which determines the amount of movement

which represents the final command position for the shaft.

A type of encoder serves as a sensor providing speed and position feedback.

This circuitry is built right inside the motor housing

which usually is fitted with gear system.

One of the main differences between Servo Motors

and stepper motors is that Servo Motors,

utilize a control loop and this requires position feedback.

The Servo Motor control loop uses feedback from the motor

to help the motor arrive at a desired position and velocity.

These control loops come in a variety of electro-mechanical types.

The controller or PLC software will generally use a PID

(Proportional, Integral, Derivative)

control loop for Servo Motors to achieve accurate speed, acceleration, and distance.

When using a control loop such as PID,

you may need to tune the Servo Motor.

One of the disadvantages of a Servo Motor

is tuning a motor can be a very difficult and a troublesome process,

but the PID loop is also an advantage

providing more control over the behavior of the motor.

Since Servo Motors have a control loop

to monitor the current velocity and distance,

they are for the most part more reliable than stepper motors.

For example, when a stepper motor loses a step for whatever reason,

there is no control loop to compensate for the error in movement.

The control loop in a Servo Motor

are constantly monitoring the critical control attributes of the path

and will make the necessary adjustments when movement is in error.

Like stepper motors, Servo Motors are available as conventional rotary motors

and linear Servo Motors and have several advantages

that are leading a growing numbers of machine builders

to favor Servo Motors to boost overall performance.

In general, Servo Motors run more smoothly

than a stepper motor except when microstepping are used.

A Servo Motor will typically provide 2-3 times the speed

of a typical stepper motor as the Servo Motor speed increases,

the torque (the twisting force that tends to cause rotation)

of the Servo Motor remains constant,

thus performing better than a stepper motor

at higher speeds usually above 1000 RPM.

It is important to note that the continuous speed rating of the Servo Motor

exceeds that of the comparable stepper motor.

When we compare the performance of the stepper motor

to that of the Servo Motor performance,

the observer would notice a slight torque advantage

in favor of the stepper motor at low RPMs, less than 1000.

However, once the RMPs cross over this 1000 RPM limit,

the torque performance of the stepper motor decreases drastically,

and speed-torque performance of the Servo Motor has the advantage.

The Servo Motor can only operate in this peak torque range for a short interval

and must allow generated heat to be dissipated,

but the Servo Motor operating in this range of operation is a Servo Motor Advantage.

This prominent torque advantage of Servo Motors running at high speeds,

can easily achieve speeds of 3,000 RPM

and it is not uncommon for some Servo Motors

to achieve speeds of 5,000, 6,000 and even 8,000 RPM

while sustaining usable torque.

Servo Motors have an advantage

with inherent sophisticated control algorithms,

providing some control features that are simply

not available in most stepper motor controllers.

With the advantages of torque control

many applications accomplish all the required pressing,

holding, pushing and twisting motions at very precise torques.

If the torque applied is too high,

crushing of the widget and similar damage can result.

If the torque is too low, not enough holding force is created

and the end result could be slippage resulting in defects or wasted product.

Many servo drives provide torque parameters

to allow one to quickly and easily control

the needed torque for a particular application.

Accuracy is a Servo Motor advantage.

There is always a chance that the stepper motor

may experience a misstep or stall that could go undetected.

In these situations, there is no indication from the stepper motor

and by the time the error is noticed

much time may have passed with undesirable results.

Servo Motors utilize position and speed feedback devices

that may encompass the use of encoders to sense positional error in a system

and provide path correction for this error

to achieve the desired performance of the machine.

And so, with a Servo Motor, the inherent use of an encoder

does not allow for position errors to go undetected.

A servo drive continuously reads in current position data

and compares this feedback with the commanded position

and calculates the error,

then provides an updated command to the Servo Motor

proportional to the degree of the error.

Therefore, a Servo Motor will continuously try to correct

for any errors and will drive the motor as necessary

to move the load to the desired position.

This error correction is accomplished

for Servo Motor torque, velocity, and/or position.

In addition, Servo drives have the added advantage

of including a position fault error limit.

If the position error feedback by the encoder exceeds a limit,

the Servo Motor controller will fault the motor,

thereby preventing any erratic movement

that could lead to potential damage to equipment, product or people.

And, the positioning error fault limit can be adjustable allowing for tighter,

and better-defined control.

Properly tuned Servo Motors are extremely quiet.

The biggest source of noise in servo-driven applications

are often the drive train or bearing.

In comparison, stepper motors will typically emit around 68 dB during operation.

In the past, the desire to reduce costs

has often dictated the use of lower-cost technologies such as stepper motors.

However, with growing pressures on machine and equipment designers

to maximize the efficiency of machines,

and now with the availability of lower-cost Servo Motors

and positional feedback devices,

are giving more thought to the advantages offered by Servo Motor technologies.

When purchasing Servo Motors

(or stepper motors) standard designs help

competing and will offer the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)

and end-user an advantage in competitiveness and serviceability.

NEMA (an acronym for the National Electrical Manufacturers Association)

and IEC (an acronym for the International Electro Technical Commission)

include member companies that manufacture products used in the generation,

transmission, distribution, control and end-use of electricity.

The goal is to promote competitiveness of the international

electrical product industry through the development of standards.

The advantage for using standard sized motors

is so customers can reliably replace and ensure

a compatible and dimensionally fit when a motor is sourced from one company

and replaced by a motor of another company.

You can easily visualize how standards will help to promote competitiveness

in the electrical Servo Motor industry.

A Servo Motor and drive solution is more expensive than a stepper motor solution

because of the complex encoder feedback device

found in the servo drive hardware

and the algorithms required to drive the motor

with the appropriate control signals.

The added performance capability found in Servo Motors

comes at a premium price

when compared to a properly sized stepper motor solution.

Another disadvantage is the complexity involved

in configuring a Servo Motor solution.

Servo Motors require tuning as mentioned earlier.

Tuning is a method by which the user optimizes the internal algorithms

and electronics for physically controlling the torque,

velocity and position of the motor.

The tuning process requires a continuous modification

and adjustment of the servo drive output signals to the motor

so the end result is achieved for the best smoothness,

accuracy, and efficiency.

Servo Motor tuning is an arduous task

that is often difficult and time consuming

and becomes an art in performing the perfection required

to obtain the accuracy required.

Research indicates that tuning a servo drive

can take anywhere up to 6 hours or more to complete.

While many Servo Motor manufacturers and providers

continue to improve upon the tools available

for performing the tuning task,

it is always recommended to select a Servo Motor drive combination

that offers tools to help minimize the work required to tune the servo.

An example could be selecting a matched Servo Motor

with a controller that has been designed to function together.

Now let's summarize the top Servo Motor Advantages and Disadvantages.

Top Servo Motor advantages are:

High output power relative to motor size and weight.

Encoder determines accuracy and resolution.

High efficiency. It can approach 90% at light loads.

High torque to inertia ratio.

Servo Motors can rapidly accelerate loads.

Has 2-3 times more continuous power for short periods.

Has 5-10 times more rated torque for short periods.

Servo motors achieve high speed at high torque values.

Quiet at high speeds.

Encoder utilization provides higher accuracy

and resolution with closed loop control.

The top Servo Motor disadvantages are:

Servos Motors requires tuning to stabilize the feedback loop.

Servo Motor will become unpredictable when something breaks.

So, safety circuits are required.

Complex controller requires encoder and electronic support.

Peak torque is limited to a 1% duty cycle.

Servo Motors can be damaged by sustained overload.

Gear boxes are often required to deliver power at higher speeds.

Higher overall system cost

and the installation cost of a Servo Motor system

may be higher than that of a stepper motor

due to the requirement for feedback components.

Heartbroken Oliva Colman Learns Of Indian Orphan Heritage | Who Do You Think You Are - Duration: 10:30.

To begin her journey to England Harriet would have come to the Hooghly River

there were no passenger ships between India and England at the time passengers

had to travel alongside cargo on the East India Company's ships the voyage

was expensive Harriet's grandmother would have had to pay many thousands of

pounds in today's money to bring her to England to find out about Harriet's

journey Olivia is meeting dr. Sudeep Bhattacharyya so Olivia we are lucky

enough to have found a record of the ship that have you traveled on yes list

of ships company James Fairfax Esquire commander oh I hope he's nice there are

a lot of people and over here if would you like to take a look at the list of

children yeah oh this is amazing okay children miss Charlotte softy this

we came six years Harriet's letter here it says seven years old I thought she

was three or four you know these would be approximate ages

and and they wouldn't have referred to any documents oh so they just sort of

guessing yeah but again we have something very interesting children not

accompanied by parents would be accompanied by servants right now we

don't know if it was a company they certainly isn't an attendant listed for

her as you can see she's on her own really she's certainly on her own and

she's child on her own oh that's really sad okay so he was

looking after her Oh probably some other lady who was accompanying her children

would be requested to look after her yes right so hopefully I'm hoping that

someone takes her under their wing I keep saying she's going home to England

but of course she's not she's leaving her home to alien country yes and

imagine her all alone yes all right from kitchen guns brought to Kalka

it's a huge impact and then there she is you know daddy honest it and how long

was the journey it would take about six months six months around six months all

the way through to written oh it's really sad isn't it Bethel girl I've got

quite little children I get really emotional but the good news is that she

got there safely as you can see she disembarked at Long Reach just outside

London and the 20th for me so do we know where she went from there

there's no more information in the shipping records okay is all the

information we have okay all right thank you very much finding out about parrots

journey was a shock the thought of no tiny person going in six months

other families took under their wing I do feel like I'm finding out that this

little person who did become without her I wouldn't be here

I feel quite invested in finding out what happened to her next and hopefully

it's happy and good or I'm leaving

Olivia has come to me professor read round Shu Mukherjee who has more

information about Harriet hello welcome inside thank you so much

yes it is it's a quaint attempt the last time I heard is that my great-great

great-grandmother Harriet landed in London in 1812 and I wanted to know what

happened to her after that well this is the first mention we have of Harriet in

England this is the last will and testament of one Louisa Gerardo I give

to my great niece Harriet's lesser the granddaughter of my said sister Harriet

Elizabeth's letter and now residing with Miss Mills Park Street Bristol Entwistle

the sum of three hundred pounds a lot of money those days three hundred pounds I

hope so this is Harriet's grandmother's sister her great-aunt redone Louisa is

big greeting three hundred pounds does everyone knew about her that's lovely

yes if Miss Mills who's that miss Mills ran a boarding school in in Bristol and

presumably Harriet was a pupil there okay and how old is she here well this

will is 1824 which makes Harriet seventeen eighteen but if you go on

reading there's an addition to the will four years later okay I leave to

Harriet's lesser the granddaughter of my sister's lesser five hundred pounds in

addition to the three hundred pounds bequeath to her by my will

yes I'm imagine now I'm normal affection between these two the great

armed and the great yes 800 quid do you know what that is in today's money

support roughly forty thousand pounds forty thousand it actually makes her

quite a rich girl Wow Oh her luck has changed I'm so pleased

she's about 21 now and now has her own money and do we know what happened to

her after that we do have some information of what she does with that

money a few years down the line okay list of

passengers this is from the Calcutta magazine and monthly register 1832 this

is a list of passengers who have arrived by ship in Calcutta from England so if

you look at the ship Orient ship Orient mrs. Caroline Bell P mrs.

Jane Dixon Georgiana rickets Harriet's letter that's excited so she's gone

she's gone back to India yes she comes back here to Calcutta she's around 24 25

okay this is a massive investment yet to come back so there must be very strong

reasons and motives one possibility is she came back to seek

her roots as it were where she came from if she could find her mother the other

possibility is she seems to have been of mixed integer a new Indian right and she

might be looking to find a suitable husband and it's easier for her to find

a husband in India because of her background than in England interesting

tittle-tattle here is it was very common for English women in the late 18th early

19th centuries to make this journey to look for a husband in fact the Calcutta

slang for many of these ships coming into port was the fishing fleet and

those who went back without a husband were called returned empty

I hope she had fun and do you know she has fun she has a lot of fun a lot of

fun in fact this visit is a turning point in

her life oh good and my favorite so far next document will reveal to you Oh

marriages 1832 on this third day of April 1832 William Trigg Garrett

leftenant bachelor and Harriet's lesser hang on so who is William trig Garrett I

thought my great-great great-grandfather was Charles Bassett

this is Harriet's first husband I'm in 1832 she did that very quickly I think

it'll be worth your while to look at the passenger list of the Orient once again

you read only after Harriet's less hair accessor Laura Duncan and may Charlotte

Logie a tenant W Garret Oh they met on the ship them read on shoot

Oh and then they got married as soon as

they got there yeah so she didn't return empty no she really didn't so it was a

ship romance this is so exciting and do we know what happened to them next yes

we do sacred to the memory of William take

Garrett leftenant Bengal artillery Oh God he departed this life 25th of July

1833 age 29 few years back to her lonely self again

oh poor Harriet seems like everybody dies so now she's young woman

mid-twenties what was it like for a young British widow in well the life of

a widow in 19th century India even for an English widow couldn't

have been easy this was not the place for single right

but that was amazing to find out that Harriet came back to India as country

she was born in hopefully shows that she did in some way hold it dear that

there's some warm place where it started out happy and maybe it'll be that again

and then again this roller coasting she falls in love and within the year

beloved is dead it's just really highlights what a sort of pretty rough

hand she's been dealt she seems to spent her life on her own from the age of

three or four the thought that she's now alone in this country and only in her

mid-twenties look pretty daunting I can't imagine

you

How to Style A Wig Using Some of Your Natural Hair - Why Choose A Natural Hair Colored Wig - Duration: 2:57.

Hi ladies it's Lee here Woman in Disguise and I wanted to talk to you

about some of the benefits of matching very closely your natural hair color

when choosing a wig. Now I love to mix it up so there's lots of great reasons to

totally try different colors there's a completely commitment-free change

transformation so don't be afraid to try different colors but there are a few

things that you can do when you match your color that you can't necessarily do

when you go a really drastically different color and the first part that

I really can't take advantage of because I've got very short hair is the fact

that you can actually pull your hair out along your hairline when it matches and

actually blend in the edge of the cap a lot of people really like doing that

type of blending where you can bring your hair in the actual wearing of the

wig. And it just gives a really nice natural blending along that natural hair

line and is a very great way to maybe go from straight to curly or a nice wave and you don't have to

to do all that work to all your hair but you still get to in some of your own

hair to incorporate into the style. The other great thing is for people like me

who have shorter hair is it's an opportunity not so much worry about

your neckline hair so that if you're gonna try a shorter style wig and this

works this is still true for me with shorter hair is that a lot of times you

can get even with a wig cap some of that peaking along your very back of the neck

of the hairline and when you met match your natural color no worries because it

just looks like part of your hair so again that ability to kind of blend and

have it look super natural and not have to have it be so meticulously tucked it

just really makes it that much easier to get your great style going and change it

up and and be ready in minutes. So those are just some pointers

for if you choose styles that match your daily hair play around with those ideas

incorporating your own hair and along the hairline and also if you've got that

little peaks in the back don't worry about it because they blend in. So there

you go you can try that short style you don't have to worry about it so if you

have any other topics that you'd like us to cover any other questions please put

in the comments below let us know we'd love to bring you videos that you want

to know things that you want to know about so thanks for watching and we'll

see you again soon.

215822000 - Replacing Your Frigidaire Dryer's Thermistor Pan Head Screw AP2579936 PS423766 - Duration: 9:08.

Hi my name is Bill and today I'm going to be showing you how to replace the pan head

screw for the thermistor on your dryer the reason why you would have to so this is because

the screw is damaged or missing for this repair all you'll need is a phillips head screwdriver

WARNING before doing any repairs please disconnect your power source

so this is the dryer we're going to be using for this demonstration

it's a Frigidaire keep in mind you might have one

that's not quite exactly the same as this but the same technique should still apply

just make sure you turn your gas off so we're going to turn our dryer around

so we need to remove these two screws right here we're going to be using a phillips head

screwdriver and once we have those screws out we can pull

the top back and then lift it off put it off to the side now we're going to unscrew these

two screws here and we'll take off the grounding wire and now we'll unplug all of the wires

here and just make sure when you're removing these

wires that you're pushing in on the tabs to release the wires from the board so the next

thing we're going to do is we're going to have six screws total that we're going to

have to remove two here two inside the door and two at the bottom close the door now to

make this a little bit easier for the last two we're going to get a piece of wood and

we're going to set it underneath the dryer now all you have to

do is just slightly lift on the bulkhead and it should come right out now we just have

to remove these three wires here now we'll take the lint filter out we'll set

that off to the side now we're going to remove the screws right here holding the support

in now I'm going to remove the two bottom screws that go with this bulkhead right here

now to remove the bulkhead we're going to lift it up a little bit and remove it from

the support and we should be able to pull it right out so here's the drum belt right

here and in order to get it off we're going to have to reach underneath the drum and in

order to get the belt off we're going to have to push up on the lever to release the tension

reach in with our other hand and now can just take that right off so now that the drum belt

is free we can pull up on the belt so it doesn't get caught on anything and then pull the drum

out so this right here is our thermistor as you can see there's one screw down here but

there's also suppose to be another screw up here which is missing causing our thermistor

to be loose there so grab your new OEM replacement screw and if you don't have one already you

can find it on our online store so we're just going to use our phillips head screwdriver

and screw our new screw into place and tighten it down just like that so we're just going

to slide that in like so now to put the drum back on we're going to take the belt we're

going to go on the other side of the wheel here like this we're going to lift it up and

then loop the belt around the shaft here and make sure everything is on straight and then

everything will spin freely now just like that so now we'll put the bulkhead back in

place and we're just going to need to lift up on the drum a little bit while we do this

we're going to make sure that the roller wheels are supporting the drum we're going to make

sure that our tab goes into the slot here for the bulkhead on both sides and now you're

also going to want to slide the tabs into the slots on the support and attach this to

the bulkhead right there and now we can screw everything back in

now we'll put the lint filter back in so now we'll reattach the wires for the door switch

in case you don't remember you're going to want to take a picture before you take the

wires off but I just took a look at my own picture so now I remember where all the wires

are supposed to go so now what we're going to do is we're going to line up these tabs

here and put those into the slot there's going to be four tabs total

so now I'm going to screw in the screws up top first

so now we're going to plug our wires back in

now we're going to slide our control panel up and you're going to line up the tabs down

here with the little tabs that are sticking out and we're just going to reattach our grounding

wire here now we're just lining up our holes and screwing it back in

now we'll put the top panel back on and when we do this we'll slide it all the way forward

until it's in place and then line up your screw holes and screw it back in now we can

turn it back around and your repair is complete now we can turn our gas back on

Finally don't forget to plug in your appliance

if you need to replace any parts for your appliances

you can find an OEM replacement part on our website pcappliancerepair.com

ACDSee in Spanish (SUBTITLED) 101 - How to use the Manage Mode - Photo Mode - View Mode by FerFlo - Duration: 11:19.

Hello my friends, how are you?

Welcome to my channel, my name is

Fernando I am an advertising photographer and

today I'm going to talk about software

today I will talk about

ACDSee that it is a software

wonderful, every photographer should

have it, really, quickly tell them the

ACDSee is a software that has a

philosophy very similar to Capture One and Lightroom

just that has two fundamental differences

the first is that it is super light

runs super fast and does not occupy

no space and the second

which is very important is that

it costs only 97 euros, today

let's talk about three modules of the

many that have and so I'm not going to

make more wait so let's go

straight to the point

well this is the ACDSee and we are going to

start with menage mode

when we access the menage mode we

let's find a series of

tools that work to order and

handle the metadata of our

photographs and we can also make a

set of actions in lots that we

they allow to work in a very easy way

simple and without much effort

thanks to the folder panel we can access

any folder that we have in

our computer and of course see the

photographs that are in it

we can create folders, duplicate photographs

or simply delete what

that does not interest us

in this left panel we can see that

is the folder all the folders that

there is in our computer and we can

explore exactly how we do it in

the browser of our computer

next to the folder module we have

the catalog module we can organize

our photographs giving them a

qualification

placing a color label

or a category if we give right click

to a photograph we can find the

qualification configuration the

tag configuration configure

categories create new categories to

use the ones we already have created by default

this system of organization we

will allow to shorten the time of

our workflow and do more

efficient our organization and

search results once

categorize your images you can

find them in the category panel

right next to the catalog panel

let's find the calendar panel

which is nothing other than the organization

of the photos by date this panel will

allows you to see the chronology by events

by year

monthly

daily

the photo calendar

just down these three panels we're going

to find the preview here

We can find information from the

camera, which type of lens, how

that the photo was taken, the white

balance. the type of focus, if used

flash or not and the rest of the information

that is always very necessary

additionally we have a histogram and the

size and weight of the image in addition

we can change the histogram mode to

luminance histogram

the RGB histogram plus the RGB histogram

luminance on the right side of the

screen we are going to find the module of

properties specifically that of

organize metadata and files in the

metadata section we will find

IPTCs and EXIFs and the metadata of

ACDSee and what are the metadata for?

IPTC and EXIF and the metadata of

ACDSee in this particular works for

fill in information that is necessary

to at least upload these

photographs to a Micro Stock Agency

you can place the title the

description the author the keywords

and other information that gives a lot of interest

as you will know the metadata are a

information that is embedded in the

images, travel with the images and

used to identify all the

information that you have inside as per

example I just told you the author the

keywords and so on that are very

Useful for Stock

to apply all this metadata to

all the photos that I will upload to my

Micro Stock Agency selects the file

that has the metadata I click

right

I'm going to copy metadata

I asked him what are his copies then

selected the rest of the files that

I want to paste this metadata and tell him

paste

and ready you are ready to be

sent to the Micro Stock Agency just

next to the metadata tab we're going to

find the tab to organize and here

let's find the rating of the

picture the color the category and the

keyword from here we can do

in lots

give it a feature like

example shoes

that this one already has

or place another category as per

fashion example

then next to organize is the

file tab where we will find

the basic information of our file

as size dimensions and metadata

of success now let's move on to the

eyelashes from the top the first

that we will find will be the area of

work here we have a work area

default and we can load the

areas of work that we most

like for example we can delete the

property panel

and we keep it as a work area

will be registered here and we can return

return to the default work area

with just one click right next we're going

encontrar el apartado de importar y aquí

find the import section and here

when we deploy it we will find

that we can import from the device

scanner disk or cd or dvd then

we have the section of lots that we can

do a lot of things in bulk

all we have to do is

select our images and what

we can do by selecting an image

pressing Shift and selecting others and

they are all selected together or

we select an image and pressing the

Control key we can do it in a way

random

once we have selected the

images we can go to the tab

lots and do a lot of things like

example throw them resize the

adjust the exposure or change the

file format

everything absolutely everything we can do

with a single click on create we can create

several things including files of

slide show pdf

CD or DVD html album files

tablets or contact sheets later

we have the presentation tab that

all we have to do is

select a set of images

press the presentation button and

tell you slide show and

we're going to see it

then we have the send tab in

where we can make a selection and

send these images by mail

electronic to Facebook Flickr or Smug Mug

or ZenPholio or to an FTP site that

for me it is very convenient because I can

send it to the Micro Stock Agencies

via FTP without having to upload them

browser then we have the section of

actions where we can execute a

series of shares in lots in a way

super fast with a single click per

example convert you're that

select black and white antique

once it does and it is processed they go

to generate new copies with that

effect, here we see the result

right next to administer

let's find the

photo section this section is very

interesting because here we can see

all the pictures we have in our

database are already all

labeled categories have

Keywords and so on

we can manipulate them for 365 days a

annual view we can have a view

monthly and finally a weekly view and

we are doing the chronology of our

work right next is the tab

see that in order to use it we have to

select an image first in this

tab we see that we have the palette of

important data information

as the camera the exposure mode the

ISO the size and so on and we have a few

buttons that allow us to put the photo to

full size per year to the size of the

screen

we have a magnifying glass that with the button

left of the mouse we zoom in

with the right button we zoom out

additionally we can this image

add it to the basket of images

turn it from one side to the other we have

the hand to be able to move inside the

image

we have a tool to select

again the magnifying glass and we have a

tool to see the screen

complete that by pressing the f key

we went out like that

additionally we have a tool

of equalization

we give you with just one click in the evaluates and

makes an automatic equalization

and we re-click it removes the

equalization and we have a tool

which is very useful that is called lens

automatic and here we can do with

Effects LOMO, ORTON, none, white and

black is lost and as you will see if I stop

in another image the filter is applied but

it is not destructive just to see

how is it left, we can take it away

course and then there's the tab

develop that is nothing other than

reveal but we're going to see it in the

next video because this is a module

quite long just like the module

Edit

that really is nothing other than a

photoshop is very powerful this

tool

good the little grasshopper I hope that

have you liked please forget me

Like share comment subscribe to

channel please remember that below a

information box is the link for

download it try it or

simply buy it because it is very

economic the next video that I'm going to

do is going to be about the revealed mode

that to show super cool and then I'm going to

go doing the others already know to

practice to practice and practice

the practice is what makes the teacher chau us

we see in the next video

Introducing Miniponics - Duration: 3:20.

Today we're here to talk about a miniponics

system or miniature aquaponics. So what we're able

to do in aquaponics is grow fish and plants in the

same system using some natural processes. So, the

reasons why we want to do that is because this is

sustainable technology. We're able to do this in

your home. You're able to save on space and land

say if you're in an apartment where you don't have

the ability to grow your own food maybe out in a

garden. You'd be able to do something like this

inside your apartment or in your home and produce some

food for yourself and your family. Also reduce

some of the costs on your grocery bill. In terms of

cost, you know we chose materials that you can

get at a home improvement store or your pet store

and you should be able to build a system like this

for about four hundred dollars. In terms of the

electrical components, I mean we've got lights and

we got a pump and we've got some airation going on

there. Looking about 50 dollars a year to run that.

And we have fish feed as one of our inputs so

we're looking at maybe somewhere less than 150

dollars per year to be able to do the feed. So

you're talking about less than 600 dollars

to be able to run your own miniature aquaponics

system for a whole year. And if you eat enough

produce out of here you could potentially pay for

itself. So we built this system with the

a homeowner as well as a classroom teacher in mind.

So if you're looking to do this at home you're

able to grow you know some different types of

plants. Here we have peppers and peas and kale and

lettuce and things like that. You're also able to

have some fish here and so it provides some really

good entertainment for the kids. In a classroom

setting, we might be able to do some things with

to educate kids on science and engineering,

technology and math principles in these sorts of

systems. So you could use that in a middle school

or high school to be able to teach a lot of

different types of biological processes, how to

calculate you know input rates, and how much

produce we're getting out of there. So it's a very

versatile system so we look for a lot of people to

be able to use this. We can do this on lots of

different scales. So an aquaponics commercial style

system might be in a large greenhouse or in a

warehouse and it could be used for growing produce

right there next to your food or your population

center. In this example, you know we're scaling it

down so that everybody in their home can be able

to use a miniature aquaponics system. So we're

going to go into the details later about which

components we bought and why. But in general, we

chose electrical components that save electricity.

For example, LED lights because they use less

electricity and using a small pump that just puts,

uses enough electricity to move the water the

height that we need to at the flow rate that we

need so we can save money and do this thing

efficiently as possible.

You can see they're different sizes and they're

different colors. So the sort of off white with

the red that's for C-PVC which is used for a

different application. It's more heat rated and

actually has a

What Materials You Need for Miniponics - Duration: 12:11.

We're here to build a miniature aquaponics system.

We've bought all our materials. So let's get going.

This is the overall picture of what our system is

going to look like in the end. And then we have a

list of all of the parts and pieces. So we've got

our lumber our PVC piping and a list of other

materials. And so we've gone to the store today

and we've picked those things up and so we're

going to go through and see what all we we've got

here. Some things that we couldn't get at the store

were some of these bussing containers. So these

are made out of polypropylene; so it's a food safe

material. We ordered these online. Those are

pretty cheap, about three dollars a piece. We've got

some tools here as well. So we're going to need a

drill, we're going to need a nut driver and a sharpie

so we can mark our points. So this is a half inch

PVC elbow and so that's a 90 degree. It has got a

slip on both ends of this. But we'll be able to push

that half inch PVC pipe in there when we have it

glued. This is going to be on the pressurized side of

the system. We're going to have these as

downspouts as well as some other segments of that

particular system. We're going to need 4 of these in this

system. This is a half inch tee. So that's a three

way shaped like a T. These are also three way splits

and we are going to need two of these in the

system. This right here is an adapter, so it goes

from half inch in female slip right there to a

half inch male threaded end. So these are also we're

going to need one of these and that's going to

connect with a nipple here that's got a half inch

male threads and a half inch male nipple here. So

those will screw together like this and we're

going to put a little bit of teflon tape in there.

Make sure that that gets a good seal. And then we

also have some half inch ball valves here so we

can control the flow rate going into our system.

You look inside you can see when I close the valve

it turns so we can restrict the flow rate to be

able to get the proper flood and drain fill rates

for our grow beds so they can drain properly. The

next part of the system we're gonna be using some

uni-seal. These are for 1 inch diameter PVC

pipe. We'll push the pipe through this hole right

here. And that'll seal off here on the edges as it

expands and it will fill up our hole. We have to use a one

and three quarter inch hole saw to be able to

achieve that. So we'll cut a hole that will

actually fit here perfectly. So you can see what

that will look like. The diameters are the same. So

when you cut that hole this will fit in

very tightly and when we push the pipe through it will

seal it up and to make it watertight. OK. So we'll

need three of these. And then we're coming over here

to the drain side. This is a one inch elbow again

slip and slip on there. We're going to be using 11

of these in this particular system at different

points in the drain. This is a 1 inch tee. Again

threeway slip connector and we will be using two

of these in this system. Another thing we have

here we have some hose clamps so these are going

to go on the, on the end of this nipple here along

with our hose. So this is going to be our hose.

This is a five eigths inch inside diameter, three

quarter inch outside diameter. So this is going to

slide straight over our our hose or our nipple

here we'll put a hose clamp over that. So we seal

it and keep the water from leaking out. And then

we have a pump here. So this is our this is our

fountain pump. This is a submersible pump that can

go down inside of the water and we're looking

here on the side of this and we're able to see at

what height. There is head pressure component to

this. So you can see that at about five feet of

height we can get 95 gallons per hour. At three feet

of height we can get 190 gallons per hour with

this. We're going to be pumping about three feet.

And overall our goal is to get about three

turnovers or three complete circulations of water

through our system per hour. So this is going to

be able to give us that opportunity. Also we're

looking here at our power consumption is 23 watts

so it's a low amount of electricity that we're going to be using for

this. This will be running all the time. You can

get a lot of different types of those pumps.

But that's a pretty decent pump that will last you a

while. So we're going to build our structure out

of this lumber here. This is untreated wood from

the from the store; probably pine or fir or spruce

or something like that. Alright, so whenever

you're choosing the wood that you want to use for

your project you want to look for imperfections in

the wood. Things like knots can split and they can

break the wood or you know you want to make sure

that you're not covered in SAP or you're not your

boards not twisted or warped or bent or anything

like that. We want to use good straight

boards. Those are gonna be better for your

construction, it's gonna make everything more square

and it's gonna make for a better looking piece at

the end. We're not using treated because we don't

want any opportunity for any of those potential

toxins that are in that treated lumber to be able

to leach into the fish tank and kill your fish or

your bacteria or your plants. So we're going to take

this. We found some sealant here. So this

right here is a two in one stain and sealant. And also

we got it at a reduced price. You can see it used

to be 42 bucks. So if you find one that was you

know kind of a mis-color or something like that

you can buy it for a heck of a lot cheaper. Save

yourself some money. It's going to be two in one.

So it's going to stain and it's going to seal our

wood and it's going to be nontoxic for us so it'll make

our structure last a lot longer. And we've

purchased these these foam these are

cheap brushes that are disposable and we'll be

able to apply that stain with these. There are

several of them because you know they are

cheap so you might need a few of them. Other things

that we have here: we have some of our PVC pipe.

If you look down on this we've got this is

half inch diameter pipe here and we've got one

inch diameter here. This is a pretty thick pipe,

it's called schedule 40 pipe. This is going to be

thicker and more rigid then something like a class

pipe that you can see is a little bit thinner

walled and a little bit less structurally and

integrity there. And so we'll cut that up and

we'll do our plumbing with that. We're going to use

this cutting tool right here to be able to cut

our PVC. It's got kind of a ratcheting function

and so you can just click that down and it'll cut

right through that PVC pipe really nice and easy.

So that's a really useful tool.

We are going to put a light on here so you can see

we've got some chain from the hardware

store, just need some thin diameter decorative

chain to be able to hang that light with. And so

you can see we've got a light for our plants over

here. This is an LED light. It's really a shop

light. We wanted to try to choose one that would

give you a good energy savings that would last a

long time and then it would have sort of a color

spectrum that was somewhere in between the red and

blue spectrum so that we can get some red light as

well some blue light which is what the plants

really want to be able to grow. Another thing you

might want to think about is making sure that

you're going to match the light to the power

supply. So this is a 120 volt light. You know you

don't want to buy 220 if you don't have 220.

Whenever we're going to be doing our construction

of course we want everything to be square so we

have a square here to do our edges and marking

our cuts. We have a wood clamp here we're going to

have several of these we're going to work with so

we can put everything together tightly. We also

have some exterior wood screws. These are for

doing some decking. These are two and a half inch.

And the reason why is because we're going to put

these 2 two by fours together. We don't want the

screw to be sticking out through the other side

and poking people but those are kind of what those

look like. So we've got two boxes of those so we

don't run out. We're going to be growing our

plants as well as having our biofilter out of this

pea gravel right here. So this is from a hardware

store also. We have a fairly small diameter. This

is like a quarter inch to half inch diameter pea

gravel and this is going to give us lots of space

for our plant roots to take up water. Also we'll

be able to drain really easily because of all that

void space inside of there. Things to think about here is

that you know that you could have a lot of calcium

carbonate or limestone in there so that's going to

mess with your pH a little bit so if you can get

quartz rock that's going to be a little more inert.

So we're going to be filling this these up with

that pea gravel. So we have to have enough pea

gravel to be able to fill these so each one of

these little containers is going to hold about 2

bags, 2 1/2 cubic foot bags of that pea gravel. So

we calculated that out. That's going to fill us up

to about 6 to 8 inches of depth there. And then

so you want your water to be able to drain freely

out of here so you don't want to be crowding your

PVC pipe with that gravel because it can clog you

up. So what we did to put around there, we have this

drain pipe. And you can see here it's about, it's a four

inch diameter corrugated pipe that corrugation

makes it structurally strong. These little slits

in here these are going to allow water to flow

through those. So that your flood and drain

style media bed can flood and drain easily and

quickly. So we're only going to use about six to eight

inch sections of this. So we'll be cutting off

these pieces here and putting them inside the system.

We're going to have here an aquarium. So this

system is going to measure about 4 feet long

and about 18 inches, 19 inches deep. And also this

is I believe about 18 inches tall as well. So

plenty of water volume for the fish that we'll

have in here. So you'll have a big storage area.

You don't have to make your fish be very dense in

there like you might in a in a typical production

aquaponics system. So we can have more fish in

here. You can do decorative fish, you could do some

some native fish. Anything that can go on feed is

sort of what we're looking for in these. So this

will be a nice size aquarium. This is a 55 gallon

one. They typically you know at retail price could

be about 150 dollars or so. We were able to get

this one for half price on a sale. So look for

those things or look on some sort of

you know the classified ads or whatever you might be

able to find, a garage sale or something like that

find something for really cheap. So you know

people are getting rid of fish tanks all the time

so take those opportunities. And then so we'll be

able to produce a system that will be able to grow

food for you and also some entertainment with

those small fish. So overall with this system we

spent under 250 dollars for all of the materials

here. We've spent about 70 dollars on the aquarium.

And if you grow this for a year as a homeowner and

you're trying to offset your your food cost if

we're just growing lettuce you probably will be able to save

about 600 bucks a year. If you're doing all your

herbs and everything for the year you might be

able to save about a 1000 dollars so it's a

really cool thing to do. And a lot of

entertainment.

It's really important always to look and

double check where your saw blade is going to go to.

And we want it to be really hard up against this fence.

You know sometimes I might even go ahead and put a wood

clamp on there just to make sure that it sticks.

But that doesn't mean they're only capable of shooting one type of video ! No way!

Absolutely, not nowadays most smartphones like the iPhone have a few different resolutions and frame rates

To choose from but you need to know what slow motion means before we get into the tutorial

Understanding the basic principles of slow motion is mandatory for making great slow motions

so bear with me for just a few seconds...

Our brain, cannot distinguish beyond 30 frames per second by filming anything faster than that

You need to edit it in order to see the details

it can be put on a 30 frame per second timeline and it will be play back

slower. For example filming at 60 frames per second is 2 times slower than real time

the iPhone 6 7 & 8 shoot at

240 frames per second. What does it means (I say the same thing in French) ? It means it is 8 times slower than real time

So when you play back those

240 fast images at the speed your eyes is happy with, you will see a lot of details

This is about capturing life you normally cannot see the fitting of a hummingbird's wings or

Wine being poured in a glass. All iPhones from iPhone 5s onwards can record

slow-motion video at 120 frames per second

but only the latest models like the iPhone 8 and iPhone 10 and above boost the slow-mo framerate to

240 frames per second in full HD resolution

by default iOS devices are set to capture slow-mo video in 1080p at

120 frames per second. Here's how to adjust settings

Appropriately when you'd like to shoot fast-paced scenes in ultra slow motion

Open the settings app on your iPhone tap the camera section in the list tag the sub section labeled

record slo-mo toggle on the option labeled

1080p HD at 240 frames per second

Oui je sais, I know, I know, Apple isn't the only brand on this planet

Android users also have awesome smartphones with building slow motions

the galaxy s 9 plus can shoot slow motion video at 240 frames per second in 1080p or

960 frames per second in

720p

That's a lot ! Sony's latest the xperia x z2, can shoot

960 frames per second video at 1080p

It's impressive ! more and more companies are building their phones with cameras that can tackle the super slow motion

No matter which brand you prefer, you'll probably get the feature

When you shoot in slow motion video it can get a bit blurry

It's difficult for even the most expensive cameras to capture high-speed video and still get a great

Sharp image so with our smartphones keeping our camera perfectly still is important

So with the Osmo Mobile 2 is just perfect for this kind of footage

For shorter clips

It's not always necessary to use the Osmo mobile on a tripod but for longer slow-motion shots

I recommend it for the best final product

When editing slow motion footage you need to keep something in mind

don't overdo it (Don't use it too much saying in French). My moto less is more

The aim should be to WoW the audience and leave them wanting more

Rather than the opposite feeling and these were the last tips of today's video

Did I end it on a WOW effect ? Yes, well
