Eishockey Rückhandpässe/ Backhand Passes - Duration: 5:06.

Hi everybody! Today at Marcel's Hockey School we'll be working on our backhand passes!

Passing and receiving with your backhand isn't nearly as easy as with your forehand.

I know a lot of players who especially have problems with receiving a pass on the backhand.

Mika is back again to help out- we'll show you how it's done!

Let's start with making a pass:

the puck is in the middle of my stick blade

Just like with passing with my forehand, my stick blade is capped over the puck.

Especially on the backhand, I have to be careful that my stick blade is really on a 90 degree angle to the puck,

and not too open, because of the curve on the backhand.

If my stick blade is open,

then the puck can easily slide off the tip of my blade;

we want to avoid this.

So your stick blade is closed, I follow through stick ahead,

and point at my target at the end of my pass.

It's very easy when making a backhand pass to overrotate.

We have to avoid this.

Really try to keep your shoulder and elbows stiff, just like with a forehand pass,

make sure you follow through low towards your target.

If I don't do this,

my pass will usually not be on target,

but go crosswise.

Taking a pass on the backhand is what causes problems for many players.

The reason is that you can't cushion the puck as well on the backhand as on the forehand.

In order to receive a pass on the backhand you have to exert much more pressure against the puck

press much more in the opposite direction, almost hitting the puck to stop it.

It looks like this:

I use much more pressure (than on the forehand)

It's a bit louder, but my main goal is to bring the puck under control.

If I were to try to cushion the puck nicely on the backhand like on the forehand,

this is what will almost always happen when receiving a hard pass:

Because of the curved blade, the puck will almost always roll off the tip of the blade.

So now I'll show you how to take a pass on your backhand in a game-like situation:

because, when you get a pass on your backhand during a game,

the pass always always comes from behind you;

for example, during a breakout.

Here it's important not to have your stick blade pointing straight ahead,

but to have it turned a bit towards the puck,

about 90 degrees (to puck)

and, like I said, really press against the puck;

almost hit against it. Cushioning it, won't work.

So that's it for passing and receiving a pass with your backhand.

Take some time to practice this.

I hope that my little tips could help you out

so that your backhand, especially when receiving a pass, doesn't turn into a trampoline!

Have fun practicing, and see you next time at Marcel's Hockey School!

I feel it tilting in my tempest

And render me tongue-tied

You're serotonin to my complex

Persuading my walls down

But guiding Your Jericho

You've got me caught up within the tension

I'm fixing in deep on Your devotion

Holding on tight within the tension

You got me caught up

Well, it's close, this is expensive

It's got me in a pensive state

There's a comfort in discomfort

Truth is, sometimes feeling love hurts

Hold me close

I'll breathe You in until my lungs ache

We'll tread lightly, love, while I lay down my ghost

My ghost

You've got me caught up within the tension

because of the election conflicts with many of our values

Our values are strong

We will fight to protect them and we will use the great strengths and resources and reach we have to continue to advance

really important values

There's actually a lot of historical precedent for boredom being a huge factor in vote

Choice and actually in building extremism. In fact, we've had a lot of work on jigsaw on extremism

Kennedy Holmes: The 13-Year-Old Contestant on 'The Voice' Who Coaches Predict Could Win - Duration: 2:57.

Hello, Blinkers!

Welcome to Blink Now.

To get more amazing videos, don't forget to subscribe to our channel.

Today we are going to talk about The 13-Year-Old Viral Contestant on 'The Voice', Kennedy

Holmes.

On the season 14 finale of The Voice, Brynn Cartelli made history as the youngest contestant

ever to win at age 15.

The record may be broken once again this year, thanks to a seriously impressive 13-year-old

that's already a fan—and coach—favorite.

Before she even reached the chorus, Levine gave her a coveted victory by pressing his

button.

Clarkson, Hudson and Shelton followed suit in rapid succession.

After a standing ovation from the judges — during which Shelton told Hudson,

"I think she could win. I really do."

— the biggest shock was yet to come: Holmes' age.

When Holmes revealed that she is a teenager, Clarkson was so shocked that she got out of

her chair and screamed, "What?"

"Let me be the first to thank you for coming to The Voice because our ratings are going

to shoot through the roof this season," Shelton started.

"I think you are the best vocalist that has auditioned this year."

Holmes explained, "One of my first performances, I sang 'I Am Changing.'

I've dreamed to sing with you."

Hudson stood up to make her dream come true right away — the duo launched into a moving

duet of "I Am Changing."

Holmes ultimately chose Hudson to be her coach.

Hudson was thrilled.

"I think the game is over because I just won 'The Voice' with little Miss Kennedy.

Yes, I did," she said triumphantly.

Hudson also tweeted, "I am SO GRATEFUL to be your coach, Kennedy.

We are going to do amazing things together little girl !!"

A video of her "Voice" blind audition went viral before the season even premiered,

amassing almost 4 million views (and counting) on YouTube.

It was Kennedy's mother who suggested "The Voice."

"I watched 'The Voice' from time to time, and I knew it would be a great opportunity

for her," says Karen Holmes.

She says Kennedy, who was 11 at the time, had gone through the audition process for

'Little Big Shots,' but the show didn't select her.

She figures it was because Kennedy looked older than her age.

On Wednesday's "Ellen DeGeneres Show," Hudson heaped more praise onto Kennedy.

DeGeneres, who briefly was a judge on "American Idol," suggested Kennedy could win.

Jennifer, I believe you have the winner of the voice on your team.

You think so!

That's it for this video hope you enjoy it.

And if you did then please give it a thumbs up or leave a comment below.

Hope to see you back soon for more.

See you next time on Blink Now.

ICPSR 101: Why Should I Cite Data? - Duration: 2:29.

[Music] Did you ever wonder ...

Why should I cite data?

THE SHORT ANSWER

Citing data helps others:

>Find the data

>Replicate your results

>Give credit to those who created the data

THE LONG ANSWER

THINK ABOUT A RESEARCH PAPER ...

It lists articles, books, and websites in the references and gives credit to authors within the text.

The data should be credited too!

Not only is data citation

EASY AS PIE

and who doesn't love pie??

It also offers many BENEFITS

BENEFIT #1 BENEFIT TO YOU

Readers can see EXACTLY which data you used

Others can build upon your work

A citation tells the reader: WHO collected the data, WHERE the data came from, WHAT version was used

aka transparency

BENEFIT #2 BENEFIT TO THE ORIGINAL RESEARCHERS

They get credit for their hard work

Collecting and compiling data takes a lot of effort and money

They can demonstrate how their work is impacting their field (and others!) to supervisors and funders

... which may lead to more funding

BENEFIT #3 BENEFIT TO THE RESEARCH COMMUNITY

Data citation make life easier.

They act like a map, helping you discover research data available for reuse.

It's easier for publications to be found and linked to the dataset.

Making tools, like ICPSR's Bibliography of Data-related Literature, possible.

SO, HOW DO YOU CITE DATA?

The same way you credit other works: with a citation in the References list. Include these elements:

>Title

>Author (person who collected the data)

>Date

>Publisher/Distributor

>Which version used (if needed)

>Persistent identifier (e.g., DOI)

EVEN BETTER

IT'S A SNAP TO CITE DATA WITH ICPSR!

>Click "Cite this study" on the top of any study page.

[Example citation image appears]

>Copy and paste the citation into your paper.

The citation also appears further down on the study page, in the codebook, and in the zipped file when you download the data.

How To: Build Relationships at Work - Duration: 1:37.

(cheerful music)

- Building relationships across an organization

is critical to your success in your career.

This works two ways.

First, developing relationships

across your company or organization,

whether it's with operations, legal, marketing and PR,

product development or business affairs,

it allows you to learn more

about what those functions do,

and it makes you more valuable

as you move throughout your career.

Secondly, as great as many of us are

in promoting clients, our brands, or our employers,

those of us in PR, marketing, communications,

and many related fields, we're pretty terrible

about promoting ourselves and our value.

So, if you build relationships across your organization

and you're very clear about how your work brings value,

it helps elevate the field that you're in,

and then, you're often given a better chance

of having a seat at the table

in terms of business discussions or strategic planning.

So, how do you do this?

First step, introduce yourself.

Don't assume that people know who you are.

Go ahead and say hello,

introduce yourself, and explain what you do.

Make friends with the people

that you work with across your company.

Ask your boss if you could be put

on a cross-functional project or team,

and when you hear about someone's great work,

congratulate them and tell them

that you hope to be working with them soon

on something new and exciting.

What do you feel guilty about? // ZFF72 Shortfilm Competition - Duration: 1:13.

What I feel guilty about?

I was drunk and I stole some potatoes.

But that's not what I feel guilty about...

It's what happened afterwards with those f***ing potatoes, Simon!

Can I consider chocolate my "guilty" pleasure?

Okay no, but seriously: I've burned down an orphanage.

And that might be the second most terrible thing I've done.

Well, I don't know... I punched a baby in the face...

Big f***ing deal.

What do I feel guilty about? That's a tough question!

I guess I never felt guilty about anything really...

In fact, I don't have any emotions at all.

At least ever since I sold them to the devil.

Where do I even start?

I left my wife in Germany...

I robbed a liquor store...

Even twice...

I stole from the church, but it was only the Catholic one.

And that was only this year...

I honestly think I have a problem...

Top 3 weight loss secrets, Learn How To Get Healthy, Lose Weight and Feel more confident - Duration: 4:25.

How many of you would be interested if I could prove to you right now that a conventional weight loss approach

is a complete waste of time, and why it will never allow you to lose weight permanently?

So look, only couple of years ago, I've been going from diet to diet

I've tried everything and nothing worked. I felt hopeless and frustrated about losing weight

Until, suddenly, I found out about this strategy which works 100% of the time and it works for everyone

I found a strategy where you no longer have to count calories,

go to the gym, where you don't have to take any weight loss supplements and you just lose weight permanently.

In this short video,

I'm gonna share with you the top three secrets which in fact prevent you from getting healthy and lean.

You'll finally get know why all of your diets have failed you in the past and what you should do instead.

So secret number one, weight loss is far more complex than simply calories in versus calories out.

When we think about weight loss we tend to forget about hormones

and what role they play in weight loss. Did you know that there are 3 dominant fats fat-storing hormones?

Insulin, Estrogen and Cortisol

If you have elevated stress, if you don't sleep well

If you have a lot of refined carbohydrates in your diet, if you eat too frequently,

You're not gonna be able to lose fat.

If you're gonna have your fat-storing hormones elevated, you're gonna be struggling to lose weight

So, the first thing you have to do is to try to go and lower these fat-storing hormones

It's the most important factor of losing weight

Secret number two

Eating everything in moderation is not optimal for weight loss.

And did you know why?

It's simply because when you eat everything in moderation you're allowed to eat crisps,

you're allowed to eat cakes, you're allowed to drink sodas

and these foods as well, they contain loads and loads of sugar,

they contain refined ingredients, which are as well preventing you from losing weight.

So if you're gonna be eating all of these unhealthy food

You're gonna block fat burning again because you're gonna be spiking insulin,

you're gonna be always hungry and it's definitely not gonna help you to lose weight.

So what you have to do, firstly, you have to have strict rules

which would not allow you to include all of those bad foods in your diet

Secret number three

Low calorie diet don't work long term.

Did you know that 9 out of 10 people who lose weight following the conventional weight loss approach,

they end up regaining all the lost weight back within few months or years.

And that is because you create this state where you're deprived, your body is in a caloric deficit.

Maybe you're exercising too much,

maybe you're not eating enough

So it would definitely send signals to your brain to increase the hunger, increase the cravings,

increase everything what would bring you to that food,

which would just fill you up so quickly and it's most likely gonna be only very calorie dense,

very unhealthy food products.

So, you're gonna end up binging after some while of calorie deprivation.

So you definitely don't want to do that.

You should concentrate on building healthy eating habits where you don't have to cut your calories.

You have to concentrate on something what you could keep up for the rest of your life.

The bottom line of all this is that calories are not all the same

eating everything in moderation is not optimal and that conventional weight loss advice is

purely profit driven and it's not gonna allow you to get healthy and slim.

So if you want to get healthy and you want to change your life, you have to change the approach you're using.

So if you've enjoyed this video then I would love to invite you to my online webclass

Where I'll be breaking down for you the exact process

Of how you can finally get healthy, build the body you love and feel more confident.

Even if you're no longer believe that's possible for you.

I'm gonna be sharing with you some amazing tips of how you can transform your life forever.

If you will follow and implement the things that I will be sharing with you on this training,

you're gonna bring your health and weight loss to the next level.

There should be a link to register somewhere around this video

It's either somewhere in the description or you can simply click on the learn more button

I hope to see you there. Take care

Recognizing a Patient's Flea Allergy - Duration: 1:32.

First, do we think we have a flea allergy? Because flea allergy still is something

that's worldwide, and despite the availability of really good flea control,

many owners don't understand how best to do that. So, some people say 'Well I only

use flea control when I see fleas', but the adult flea is only 5% of the

flea biomass in the in the environment. Or they say 'I do use topical flea

control spot-ons, but I wash the dog twice a week,' which probably means they're

washing off. So, a lot of it is exploring with the owner, and explaining

to the owner, how flea control and how fleas work, that it may take anywhere

from 1 up to 2 months to get rid of enough fleas so that you're not seeing them in

the environment. Diets, lots of times owners come in and say I've already, well

for example, they'll come in and say 'I've already tried antibiotics, already tried

steroids, already tried antihistamines, already tried flea control, already tried

a diet.' And what does that tell the veterinarian? Actually it tells them

nothing. Because you don't know what the dose is, how long they did, what diet did

they use, did they do an over-the-counter diet that, you know, their friend said

seemed to work for their dog, or did they really do a strict hypoallergenic diet?

So, history becomes all-important so that you don't repeat anything that was done

well, but you also don't let things slide that might be the answer.

Methods for Differentiating Fear and Frustration in Animals - Duration: 4:17.

There's a variety of methods that are used for making the distinction because

over the last 20 years we've been developing a system. One of the

dangers is that as clinicians we get into the habit of thinking about a diagnosis and

actually confirming that diagnosis, whereas a more scientific approach is to

think about your differentials and make sure that you've fully excluded the

competing. Now the fear and frustration can interact, so it's not a question of

one or the other, but there are 4 lines of evidence that we suggest that

you need to use. The first one relates to the context of the situation. Is the

stimulus that's triggering the response compatible with that emotion? So in the

case of fear, it has to be something that could be potentially perceived as

threatening to the dog. In the case of frustration it has to be a reduction in

the animal's autonomy or control, which could mean anything from restraint,

barriers to rewards, getting less than you expect. And actually the way the

brain works, crossing territorial boundaries, crossing personal

boundaries, or actually touching the animal all trigger the same emotional

response. So that's the first level that you look at. The second is we look at the

arousal level and in both fear and frustration they involve an increase in

arousal typically but in the case of frustration it should be very closely

linked to the actual barrier to what the animal wants. And then the third line

that we look for is the behavioral changes in general what is the

animal's full repertoire behavior telling us. So rather than just looking at a

specific behavior, we have to think about all the behaviors the animal is showing

in that situation and think what is the goal? Because the emotions basically set

the strategies of what you want to achieve. So in the case of frustration,

actually what you see is a narrowing of focus and a greater concentration on the

resource, if it's over a resource that the animals trying to get. And whereas in

fear what you see is the animal focused on escape and self-preservation. So the

behavior should all fit within that. Now, to give you an example of when the 2

can interact, if an animal is trying to escape to safety but there is

no safety then it's going to show fear and then it's going to show frustration.

Now from a clinical point of view, you then have to think about well what

do I do by treatment? Do I want to treat the animals fear or don't want to provide it

with a safe place? And sometimes it might be a lot easier just to provide the

animal with something like a safe haven that it can go to or perhaps look at the

relationship between the owner and the dog and improve that so that the dog

goes to the owner. So it's OK for the animal to be scared, but it knows that

it's in control of the situation because it's got somewhere safe to go, in which

case as I said, what you're doing is you're treating the frustration rather

than the fear. Because some of the treatment programs for treating fears

actually go very difficult for owners to implement. So you have to evaluate every

case. What's in the best interest of the owner, the pet, and obviously in a risk

assessment. And then the final area that we look at for differentiating fear

and frustration are the communicative signals. And we've been doing a lot of

work actually starting to tease out using an adaptation of a human system

called the facial action coding system, where rather than describing facial

postures, what you do is you consider all the underlying musculature and which

muscles are actually contracting at any given time. And using that approach we're

starting to be able to differentiate these emotional expressions. So for

example, a dog that is frustrated one of the common characteristics that you see

is actually a parting of the ears—they sort of start to get broader across the

head and that's something you see much more of when the dog is frustrated. With

fear, actually what you see is more panting and measures like that. Things

like the years going back, which a lot of people think are sort of very common

signs of fear, actually they're not unique to fear. We're

starting on a long journey here of really being able to tease out the body

language of dogs. I've also got another PhD student who's

looking beyond the face at the wider body language, but is too early to report on

or anything there. But we've now got the tools to be able to really decode the

dog.

Once peeled we can start with our peanut butter.

Put the peanuts into the robot,

Brown sugar,

We will have to open and push down

Blend one more time, and push down the peanuts,

Because our little robot deserves all the help we can give him.

Almost without noticing it we have a delicious

peanut butter with no additives, like us, cariño.

Leave it waiting in a container,

you'll see, you'll see.

Not without trying it before.

Roasted hazelnuts and as peeled as possible.

The ingredients and the blender.

Hazel hazelnuts to the robot, and give them the first crush.

Turn it off, push down the hazelnuts turn it on once again.

Stop the blades again when necessary.

Push down the blended hazelnut, close, and turn power on again.

Suddenly we have an oily and sexy cream,

but we didn't finish yet.

Now add pure coca powder,

Mix before closing because is volatile.

Salt in flakes,

to find an addictive sparkle after.

A touch of vainilla extract and mix.

We are already at a pretty delicious point

but you can do more and better...

with chocolate without sugar and coconut oil.

Melted in the micro with touch of secs,

or to the bain-marie.

Mix for the last time.

the chollastic brilliance is synonymous with quality.

And we have ready our hazelnuts and cocoa cream.

And with what is chocolate perfect with?

With peanut butter.

This mix is optional but I highly recommend it.

Put in the container you like and into the fridge.

And finally the best time came

the bread, spread moment, which I love.
