I'm a senior investigator at Denver Human Services

I use my EcoPass for everything. Mainly my commute to work.

Driving takes a lot of energy. It's super stressful.

And so just being able to sit on the bus and just relax... When I get to work I'm ready to go.

Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

You just can't beat all the benefits you get from it.

Saving gas, less stress being in traffic and more opportunity to prepare for your day.

I actually got rid of my car for a year. Did without a car payment.

And that helped me get ahead financially. I was able to get another car at some point.

But I didn't really need it. EcoPass pretty much takes you everywhere.

I love my EcoPass because I can leave my car at home.

If you need a ride home, they do have an emergency line that you can call to get a ride home.

At no additional charge.

The EcoPass is wonderful because it's no secret that Denver is pretty expensive.

It absolutely helps me save money and keep money in my pocket.

If the employees understand their benefits and utilize them to the maximum, our plans will win every time compared to industry.

In the last two years I've had a knee replacement, an emergency hernia surgery...

And then most recently found out that I have breast cancer.

I had so many choices to get the treatment that I needed.

To get the information I needed to make the best choice for me.

I'm an Air Force Veteran.

I was in the military from 2004 to 2008.

Essentially when I left the military I started noticing some aggression problems.

I would have nightmares, flashbacks.

I tried private counseling, but at $150 an hour that's not really feasible.

That's the nice thing with having the benefit plan.

I can finally get treated. I can finally get the medication that I've probably needed for a long time.

It's been such a blessing to have those choices.

The benefits help make the city what it is.

The EAP is like a concierge for the City and County of Denver employees.

You can fill out a form online or call them and they'll put you in touch with people who can help you with...

budgeting, with legal issues. They can find you a counselor if you want to talk to somebody.

All of the services they provide are free.

The more we're able to get resources and help in our personal lives, makes us better workers and more effective in the workplace.
