Why You Find Illustrator DIFFICULT To Use: Adobe Illustrator Tutorial 2019 - Duration: 8:09.if you find it difficult for whatever reason to use a de Billa straighter for
your graphic designs don't worry because I've got five
different solutions as to why you maybe find it difficult to use illustrator for
your workflow now the first possible reason that you might be finding a
difficult to use illustrator is that you're using the pen tool too often and
the pen tool is a really good tool for certain situations but I think most
designers overcomplicated and overuse it when you want to design specific shapes
or designs it is actually really useful just to use geometric shapes so for
example here I could generate a circle pressing L on my keyboard and then
generating a square by pressing M directly from the center outward across
the circle now I've got these two shapes on my i/o board
I can select both the shapes and then open up the Pathfinder window now if I
use the unite function in Pathfinder window I've made this shape on the right
as you can see here I can also use the exclude function which would generate
the kind of quarter of a pie section of the shape as you can see in the middle
but we can also use the shape builder tool here and by holding down alt option
key I can - away some of the shapes so as you can see it's very quick and very
useful to use pre generated shapes to make designs in a day billa straighter
if possible don't use the pen tool too much in your graphic designs
now the second reason as to why you might be finding it difficult to use a
de Villa straighter is that you're not using the outline mode you can access
the outline mode by pressing command or control Y on your keyboard the outline
mode is amazing because you can see just a vector path of shapes and this is like
a blueprint of your graphic design work you can perfectly see where shapes align
and join together and this just helps you to keep things really organized and
really precise you can still perform any function that you want to do whilst
you're still in outline mode so for example I can use the Pathfinder options
here and then just press command or control Y to revert back sometimes a
design is too complicated to the eyes and is just too much going on I actually
use outline mode a lot when I'm layered as I name because it's really precise
and you can really hone in on specific parts of your design which you cannot
see with the shapes being as they are originally
now the third reason as to why you might be finding illustrator a bit difficult
to use is that you're neglecting the layers panel I know that many of you
will be accustomed to the layers panel with Photoshop when you might think well
it's not the same illustrator let me tell you right now that the layers panel
in Illustrator is amazing for organizing your work and keeping things really
really neat so for starters I can unlock and unlock specific layers just by
clicking the lock icon this by itself is a really handy feature to have but there
is actually a lot more that you can do with the layers panel if you label all
of your layers with specific names you can quickly jump to that specific part
of the design and then edit it as you see fit this radar speed up your
workflow and it's just professional and neat to keep everything in order like
this you can also rearrange the order of your layers just by clicking and
dragging them as well and sometimes when we're working on designs we accidentally
select layers that are really large and get in the way so working in the layers
window we can just lock or unlock a layer with ease like I'm doing here so
yeah don't be afraid to label and organize your layers and always keep it
open somewhere on your graphic design workflow
now the fourth reason why you might finding it difficult to work in and
illustrator is that your didn't seem in far enough let's say I want to work on
the pink lights on the edge of the laptop you should not be afraid to zoom
in as far as you can for that relevant part of the design to work on it
it's way better than being zoomed too far out and you can't see the design
properly but one bonus feature is that you can set up a full-screen view of
your work to revert back to now to do that and come up to view and then click
new view you can save the current view of your design here so you can just
revert back to it later so for example I can zoom in to say the top right of the
screen let's say I'm working on this part of the area of the design I can
just quickly check my progress but Azumi right back out to the full screen of
view by just clicking in the top drop down menu but the key point here is that
don't be afraid to zoom into your designs because you can make the right
adjustments and the right edits to your designs when you can see it properly on
your screen
now the last reason why you might be finding it difficult to use a day Billis
later is that you're not used to the keyboard shortcuts so firstly let's go
back to zooming in and zooming out just press command or control + + - on your
keyboard and you zoom in and out of your design like so also something
complimentary to this shortcut is holding down the spacebar and then
clicking and dragging to move around this is a real lifesaver and I always
use this shortcut every single day on my designs if I
didn't have it I really don't know what I'd be able to do because using the left
and right arrows on the actual desktop itself is really annoying to use so I'm
really thankful for the spacebar shortcut also of course there's command
C to copy something and in command V to paste a duplicate but also we can press
command F to place a duplicate right over the top of the original position
and then of course we've got the shortcuts for the selection tools which
is a the direct selection tool and then V for the selection tool then you can
press P for the pen tool and also the shift X to change the stroke over to a
fill and then when you want to select off of the pencil paths and just press
the V for the selection tool so yeah just look up the most basic and common
illustrator shortcuts and try to get them imprinted on your memory because
they do save time and they will boost your workflow to practice does make
perfect so just get used to the shortcuts and everything else I've
mentioned today if you want to see more do be literate too content from me here

I want to, first of all, congratulate you
on being back in the theater.
You always support the theater, buddy.
I like that, that you do that.
You're at The Public Theater, which is beautiful.
I've been there a couple times. -It's a great honor.
It's a great honor to be there. -Yeah. It is.
I saw "Hamilton" once there. -Yes.
Yeah, we're in the same theater as "Hamilton."
-But what is this -- This is two projects in one, right?
-Yeah. Those are two monologues.
One of them is called "Sea Wall,"
and the other one is called "The Life."
And I am in "A Life." -You are in "A Life."
Is that the first part or the second part of the play?
-It's the second part.
-So, for fans of yours, you can just skip the first half
and just come see you.
I'm not saying you're telling people to do that, but --
-I think you'll get to be a new fan of Tom Sturridge,
who does the first monologue, 'cause he's pretty fantastic.
Yeah. So -- Yeah.
-How did you get involved in this?
-So, anyway, I did two other shows
with this writer, Nick Payne, and they're beautiful shows.
And then he gave me this monologue,
because he wrote it for himself, actually.
And it was about -- -Well, I know what it's about.
-Yes. It's about the passing away of his father, initially.
And then -- And I asked him for four years
if I could do this piece, and he said, "No,"
because it's too personal to him.
And then he had his daughter about a year and a half ago,
and I asked him again.
And I think he's been through a lot.
But then we thought maybe we would make it
about both the passing of his father
and the birth of his daughter.
And that's actually what the piece is about.
-Oh, my goodness.
-So it's a pretty emotional --
It's emotional, but it's beautiful.
It's a beautiful piece. Yeah.
-And how is the reaction from the audience?
-It's really special.
I mean, when you come, it's like --
You're kind of all -- The audience, in a monologue,
it's like -- I mean, you know, right?
It's like they're your partner. -Oh, you need the audience.
Trust me -- I love you guys.
You guys are the best in the entire world.
[ Cheers and applause ]
So much better than last night's.
So much better than last night's.
This is the best audience I've ever had.
[ Cheers and applause ] ♪♪
-They are pretty good. -Yeah, yeah, yeah.
-That's my extended family for you.
-Yeah. I love your family. -They're great.
And -- Yeah, no.
So, actually, yeah, and, like, things happen every night,
but, usually, when you're doing a play, you know, like,
a phone goes off or something happens,
you know, like, any random thing happens
in an audience every night.
So, so many strange things. -Yeah.
-So, like, opening up a candy that you can hear so loudly.
to the other night, someone was singing in the hallway.
They were, like, warming up their voice,
and everyone could hear it.
-From what? From, like, just a singer?
-Well, at The Public Theater, there's also Joe's Pub
and there are a lot of other theaters in this theater.
So, there was a woman who was warming up her voice.
-And as you're doing this serious monologue.
-Like, "La, la, la, la, la, la."
Yeah, it was a really serious monologue.
But you kind of roll with it,
because it's a monologue, and it feels very present.
You know, and, like, the other day,
a woman was coughing really loud,
like, really, really loudly -- and I felt so bad for her --
in the middle of the piece.
And, so, I just asked her if she was okay
in the middle of the monologue.
-Oh, really? -Yeah. Yeah.
She was like... [ Coughs ]
And I was like, "Are you okay?"
And she was like, "I'm fine! Keep going!"
[ Coughs ]
And I was like -- I ran offstage and I got her water
and I gave it to her.
-Did you really? -Yeah. I gave her water.
-That's a good man right there. -Yeah, why not?
-That's a good move.
That's the price of admission right there.

Novated Leasing: Everything you need to know - Duration: 3:34.Cars, infamously, are the second-largest purchase that most of us make in our lifetimes, and one of the very few things we're willing to go heavily into debt for, which is what makes the idea of novated leasing so attractive, once you've worked out what it is
Yes, it does sound like the sort of thing your financial adviser starts talking about just before you start nodding off, but the fact is that it can take the pain out of car ownership, and the ownership part as well, effectively
In an ideal world, you'd have access to the car you want and pay nothing for it, but you're not a wizard or a celebrity, so a novated lease, which can reduce the amount of money coming out of your pocket and put you in shiny new cars more often
What is a novated lease? Basically, a novated lease brings a handy and financially helpful third party into the car-car-purchasing arrangement, with your employer joining you and the seller in a kind of ménage-a-car
While this can save you money in the long run, it's a bit hard to get your head around at first, because what you're basically being asked to do is to pay for something you won't every actually own
Hence the "lease" part. On the plus side, the word "novated" sounds suspiciously like something to do with tax and accountants, and it is; the good news being that it can actually help you access some money that might otherwise be tax
Essentially, a novated lease means that your employer is a party to your purchasing agreement, and allows you to pay for your vehicle as part of your salary package (handily saving them some money as well), by paying your car payments for you out of your pre-tax earnings
Your income tax is then calculated on your now reduced salary, meaning you have more disposable income
One final tax bonus is that you don't have to pay GST on the purchase price of a car when you're not buying it, which lowers the cost by a further 10 per cent
How does it work? Typically, you're leasing a car for a set period of time - usually at least two years, but sometimes three or five, and at the end of that period you can either trade up to a new model, and sign a new lease (which means you're never stuck with an old or uncool car for too long), or, if you've fallen deeply in love with your vehicle, you can pay a pre-determined fee to buy it and keep it
This is often referred to as a "balloon payment", possibly because it blows up to a number larger than you'd first believe possible
To compare a novated lease with the more typical approach of taking out a car loan and just buying a car, consider that your loan would be paid entirely out of your post-tax dollars, what you get in your bank account every week, after tax is cruelly removed
With a novated lease, you're paying out of that lovely, theoretical money you've heard about as your 'salary', so you've got, essentially, more money to play with
What you have to get your mind around is that you're not renting a car, or borrowing one, you are leasing it; paying down the amount of it you own, but realistically, if you prefer, never completely paying it off, which means you can regularly turn over your vehicle, and change brands, styles, sizes as you wish
A KPMG spokesman explained it perhaps as succinctly as only an accountant could: "A novated lease involves yourself, your fleet provider and your employer
It allows an employer or a business to lease a vehicle on behalf of an employee, with the payments the responsibility of the employee, rather than the business
"The difference between a novated lease and normal finance is that your vehicle payments include all running expenses, and are taken from your pre-tax salary, so regardless of what scale of tax you pay, there's always going to be a benefit
" If you are an employer, of course, the bonus is that you become a more attractive boss, by offering novated lease salary packaging to your employee that costs you nothing
This makes you what Novated Leasing company MotorPac likes to call "an employer of choice", meaning your workers will love you and want to keep working for you
How much do you save? Vehicle Management Solutions company Street Fleet offers a handy novated car lease calculator that allows you to work out exactly how much you'd save, depending on variables like the length of the lease, your income and your choice of car
Over at leaseplan.com.au there are some specific examples, to make the whole thing a bit clearer
Adam, 26, is a painter earning $60,000 a year and is leasing a Ford Ranger ute for three years, with a 20,000km-per-year allowance
His pre-tax vehicle cost is $7593.13, thus reducing his taxable income to $52,406
87. This lowers his payable tax each year from $12,247 to $9627.09, which means he now as annual disposable income of $34,825
08 instead of $31,446, meaning his "Novated Advantage" is $3379. Slightly higher up the range, Lisa, 44, has a Mazda CX-5 on novated lease which she uses for a mix of work and family duties, for three years at 15,000km a year
She earns $90,000 a year, and, after reducing her taxable income with a pre-tax vehicle cost per annum of $6158
90, she has a Novated Advantage of $3019. Obviously, the figures change a lot depending on your circumstances, and how expensive the car you want to have through a novated lease is, but the advantages, tax wise, are quite clear
Are there any disadvantages? There is no such thing as a perfect deal, of course, and there are potential pitfalls to keep in mind with a novated lease
If you lose your job, for example, you might have to get your new employer to take over the novated lease, or you might have to terminate the lease and pay out what's owing, and you might be stuck with additional charges
Novated leases will also often come with administration fees, and you're likely to be paying a higher interest rate on a novated lease vs car loan
In the end, while it's wise to use a novated lease calculator and to do your sums, it's in your best interests to discuss getting a novated lease with your accountant, who can best advise how much benefit there is for you, depending on what tax bracket you're in
Have you tried a novated lease, and did it work out for you? Tell us about it in the comments below

2. Top Majestic Backlinks Tips - Duration: 4:34.what would be your tip your Majestic tip to give our audience out there obviously
starting making things with it. So the great thing about Majestic is just that
the amount of data that you get of data points you get as just completely
unparalleled and actually taking information out is a very clean and easy
thing to do so first things first I would highly recommend that people start
looking at all the different ways you can get things into like Excel and
sheets and things of that nature there's a ton of connectors pretty much you just
click a button it's there I'd also look at setting things up for
short medium and long term so I see a lot people doing set up projects [Campaigns] and say
Majestic and I highly highly recommend that they do that because you can start
checking for new links are coming in your competitors and you can have it
automatically hang out at have them crawl sort of 404 only there's a bunch
o f things I would use it to create a system where you get a link deal flow
'Clique Hunter' in particular that's the first thing I would stuff start
looking at break your link building campaigns down into hygiene so make sure
there's nothing broken or 404s, it's all pointing to the right place. Defense
put in a bunch of competitor analysis stuff to make sure that you're getting the
same links as them and diluting their link proposition and then growth. That's the way
we think of it and those three things and with majestic that's how I set
everything up and literally that the click hunter is like yeah don't just
look at competitors also get comparators and wha t I mean by that is imagine you are a
car insurance brand. Go put AutoTrader and eBay Motors and
all those guys I'm sort of like what a great like absolutely I'm a great lover of
'Clique Hunter' and I think in terms of suggestions say take the top 10 blogs in
your industry and put them in because bloggers link to other bloggers and when
you put 10 top blogs in suddenly you've got 5,000
blogs to look at and the same thing goes
with trade magazines. Journalists of course link to each other
and to all those pieces so that's really incredible so it's not just
competitors you need to think about, there's a virtual online marketplace
that's there. And all of these cliques are there and the purpose of Clique Hunter is
to help you identify them. And I think the great thing about that feature is
traditionally if you were to take those things into Google and use Google to do
your discovery of these places the thing is like a trade magazine are not
optimized for the keywords you want to place so you're not gonna find them by
doing keyword searches using advanced operators things like that
you're literally only gonna find them by looking behind the curtain and looking
at the backlinks. Well our developers will be delighted to hear that you love
cleanness of the data of the way that you could get your hands on that and
then do your creative things with it. Yeah, it's the API for me is just like
it's an absolute dream we make our own tools as well I think being able to
roll your own and on the fly is something really quite nice so being
able to start with a basic data set pulling in more stuff and then actually
cleaning and augmenting it and there's actually a feature in the Google sheets
plugin from Majestic called Augment data so the moment you start pulling
that stuff then you can literally just highlight it click open and then bang
it's all in there I just don't know any other no one else does that and if you
want to do that you're talking about reams and reams and reams of CSV's and
kind of hacking away at their tools and stuff like that but the Majestic API
it's literally you've already got your working sheet you're doing your analysis
you literally just click augment and there it's there like in terms of like getting
things done and being more effective that to me that is the ultimate! So build
your own tools, roll your own, build systems and processes around the data because
they've worked really hard to get those API endpoints really clean. Excellent!
if you've enjoyed this video please give us a thumbs up and remember you can check out

Liverpool news: Pep Guardiola makes bizarre admission over title race and Champions League - Duration: 2:59.City face Schalke in the Champions League tonight, as they look to keep their hopes of a quadruple intact
However, they will travel to Germany without John Stones and Gabriel Jesus. Guardiola's side are currently top of the Premier League, but second-placed Liverpool have a game in hand
Jurgen Klopp's side face Manchester United on Sunday and have the opportunity to go back to the top of the table
On Sunday, they will take on Chelsea in the Carabao Cup Final, as they look to win their first trophy of the season
Liverpool are only competing on two fronts - in the Champions League and Premier League title race - so will have fewer games to play in the final stretch of the season
But Guardiola insisted that he is still confident of making a run at all four trophies
"You never know, I would like to be 10 or 12 points in front of Liverpool, honestly, but that's not normal," he said
"I believe the team after three seasons are doing better things than the first season
We've been together a long time and we know each other better. "But this competition is special
The teams are good, the atmosphere, you have to suffer the bad moments, survive them and in the right moments make the difference
"We arrive with many dreams in our heads. "In 12 games we won 11 and you can lose once
The players are quite well and it's a challenge for us. "You cannot go through if you are not yourself, if you do not give your best performance
You will be out sooner or later." Guardiola also played down the significance of Liverpool still being in the title race, insisting that they belong to be in contention
"When people say it would be an incredible achievement for Liverpool to win the Premier League, it's Liverpool! They have incredible trophies in their backroom," he continued
"For us it's nice to be there every season and fight with them - especially the last two seasons

Everest vs Fortuner vs MU-X vs Pajero Sport vs Rexton 2019 comparison review - Duration: 5:43.We'll start at the front of each of these models, where you'll find cup holders between the front seats, door pockets with bottle holders, and a covered centre console bin
You mightn't have expected it, but the SsangYong has the most luxurious, plushest interior
Weird, right? But it's because we have the range-topping Ultimate model, which gets goodies like quilted leather seat trim on the seats, and that quilting is also on the dashboard and doors
There's plenty to like here, with heated seats - you even get them in the second row - and there's a heated steering wheel
There's also a sunroof (which none of the others have) and dual-zone climate control
The media screen has almost everything you could want - digital radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring, Bluetooth, a 360-degree display with an out-of-body element to it
It's just missing built-in sat nav and, annoyingly, a home screen. Its automatic door lock system also took a bit of adjusting to
The next most likeable cabin is the Mitsubishi, which has the most comfortable seats of this bunch, with lovely leather seat trim, nice controls and quality materials throughout
There's a smaller, but still nice, media screen with the same smartphone mirroring tech and DAB radio, plus a 360-degree camera
But once more, there's no built-in sat nav. It feels a bit more family SUV than ute-based-off-roader than some of the other vehicles here, but lacks a little bit of loose item storage
Third most likeable up front is the Ford Everest. In this base Ambiente spec it feels a little bit 'affordable', but the big 8
0-inch screen with CarPlay and Android Auto helps make up for it. We'll delve a little deeper on which car has what tech in the next section
And it has sat nav built in, which is good if you don't have phone reception to use your smartphone mapping
There is good, if not amazing, storage on offer, and while the materials look and feel a bit plain Jane, boy oh boy does it do inoffensive well
The Toyota Fortuner's cabin is different enough to the HiLux to make feel a touch more family focused, but compared to the others here, it feels like a budget-friendly offering that's trying to be special
That's partly due to the optional 'Premium Interior Pack' which costs $2500 and gives you leather-look trim and electric front seat adjustment
The Fortuner's media screen is hard to use - it lacks the smartphone mirroring tech, and while it has built -in sat nav the buttons and menus are fidgety, and the reversing camera display is pixelated
But it boggles the mind that Toyota still won't let you use a lot of the screen functions when the car's moving
Of these SUVs, it feels the most cramped up front, but there are more cup holders than the others, and it has a dual glovebox with a cooled section - great for chockies or drinks on warmer days
Isuzu's MU-X feels hardy and work ready - which is fine in a ute, but in this contest it's less than terrific
This is the entry trim level, so that's to be expected to a degree. But for not much more money, competitor offerings cream the MU-X for cabin pleasantness
It does feel broad and airy, though, and the storage game in here is strong, too - it's the only one with a covered dash top storage cubby (if you can get it open)
And while the MU-X has a media screen, it doesn't have GPS or a navigation system, or smartphone mirroring, which means a screen is actually kind of redundant aside from acting as a display for the reversing camera
Every one of these SUVs has map pockets in the front seatbacks, cup holders that fold down from the middle seat (to varying degrees of usefulness) and bottle holders in the doors
And if you have kids, each has ISOFIX child seat anchors and top tether points in the second row, while the Ford is the only one with two child seat points in the third row
The Rexton has amazing space on offer in terms of shoulder and headroom. The quality of the materials is the best of this bunch, and it even has a 230-volt power point in the centre console - just a shame it's still a Korean plug! While the Rexton impressed, it was actually the Everest we judged as the best for second row comfort, seats, visibility, storage and space
It's just a pleasant place to be. The Pajero Sport isn't huge in the second row, lacking headroom for taller occupants
The leather seats are lovely, though. The Fortuner's second row is fine, but the leather feels as fake as it is, and the plastics are harsher than the others here
Also, the door storage is hard to access with the door shut - seriously, you struggle to get a bottle out of the door with it closed
The MU-X's lack of rear air vents - for the second and third rows - in this spec is unacceptable for a family SUV
Other than that, though, the second row is fine, apart from slightly cramped kneeroom
Interior dimensions are important, so here is a table showing luggage capacity with two, five and seven seats up - sadly it's not a direct comparison, because there are different measurement methods used
To help illustrate the differences better, we attempted to fit the same stuff in all five of these SUVs to see which had the most capacious boot dimensions - the CarsGuide pram and three suitcases
All five SUVs managed to fit both the stroller and the trio of luggage (35, 68 and 105 litres, respectively) with five seats up, but none was close to capable of fitting the pram in with seven chairs in play
For what it's worth, the depth of the Fortuner's boot helped allay fears of third-row seat intrusion given their unique (in this group) upwards folding system
With all seats in use, the Fortuner, Rexton and Everest fit the large and medium case, while the MU-X and Pajero Sport managed only the large case
To get technical for a second, the payload capacity variance is sizeable. The Rexton Ultimate has the best payload capability (727kg) followed by the Everest Ambiente (716kg), MU-X LS-M (658kg), Fortuner GXL (640kg), and the last-placed Pajero Sport Exceed, with a payload of 605kg - or about seven of me
So if you have big-boned children, maybe keep that in mind. If you have seven people in your family you will probably need to fit a roof rack system with a cargo pod to the roof rails (as well as fit some rails if you're buying this spec MU-X), or tow a trailer
But if you're using this sort of vehicle primarily as a five-seater with two bonus seats, then it was clear cut as to which was most practical for luggage - the Ford
If you plan on getting one of these rugged off-roaders but don't actually need seven seats - perhaps you need to cart items and need to fit a cargo barrier, cargo liner or cargo cover - then you could get the Everest Ambiente (which comes as standard with five seats - the extra row adds $1000 to the price), or the Pajero Sport GLS
The others are standard with seven seats. We got our man Mitchell Tulk to be our gopher and test out the third-row comfort and access
We did a series of drive loops with him in the back over the same stretches of road
All five of these SUVs have a split-fold second row, with the Ford being the only one that doesn't allow the back seat to tumble forward for third-row access
As such, the Everest ranked last for ease of access. The Ford does have a comeback, however, being the only one here with a sliding second row to allow for better rear seat comfort
That said, Mitch said the third row of the Everest was the least comfortable in terms of the suspension, which was "bouncy" and "very uncomfortable for third row passengers
" The SsangYong's second-row seats require two separate actions - one to drop the second-row seat back, and another to tumble the seat forward
But it had the best ingress and egress due to larger door apertures. Once back there, Mitch said the Rexton "had the worst visibility of the group" due to its very small side windows
And also, the "dark interior feels a bit claustrophobic", plus its low, flat seating didn't negate the tight headroom resulting from its low roofline
He's not the tallest at 177cm, but even he hit his head over sharper bumps. Its biggest plus? Quietness
Another that suffered poor third-row visibility was the Pajero Sport, with its raked rear windows making it hard to see out
The seats, though, were "the most comfortable of the group" despite "crap headroom" and a floor that felt too high under the thighs
The ride was a nice compromise in terms of comfort. You'll have to read our detailed drive impressions below for more, but the Fortuner surprised with its ride comfort in the back row
It was "on the firm side" with middle of the pack comfort for the seats, but it was quiet enough for Mitch to rank it second best in the back row
The best of this bunch for third row comfort was the MU-X, with "the most comfortable ride", good seat comfort, excellent visibility and surprising quietness
Mitch said it was the best place to be, describing it as "magical" compared to the others
But, that said, this spec of MU-X rudely misses out on air vents to the second and third rows, which made for a very sweaty experience during our hot summer testing days
His advice? Buy the next spec up - which has the vents - if you plan to use the rear seats often
