But first, you may have wondered where I have been all this time.

Rest assure, the rumor about Donald Trump deporting me for boning his wife is not true.

Umm... not completely true.

Whatever, the following video will explain everything.

Alright then, now that we got that out of the way, on to the review.

Skull Island is an enjoyable adventure film.

The visuals are outstanding, and King Kong himself is freaking awesome.

I can not wait to see him and Godzilla get it on.

The film does suffer from pacing and having one main character too many, or having them

under-written but whatever, the film did it's job.

It gets us pumped for King Kong vs Godzilla, and Godzilla King of Monsters, and whatever

else legendary's monster-verse is going to give us.

My final score for the film is a 7.8 out of 10.

are times when we're working on our

joomla sites and we may be an ting the

joomla cash over and over and over again

to check on changes we're making in the

front end of the site maybe to a

template maybe to article a 0 or a

number of other things it can consume a

lot of time using the menu system over

and over again to empty the cache but I

have good news for you regular labs is a

plug-in that is a huge time saver when

it comes to empting the joomla cash

that's what this tutorial is about

that's head on over to the computer and

check it out now a quick word before we

cleaner plug-in from regular labs we're

logged into the back end of the basic

joomla site one of the sites i have a

basic joomla this site i have just for

free extensions because there is a free

and a paid version of this plugin and

today we're going to look at the free

version logged into the back we want to

install it and to do that with regular

labs you want to go to components

regular labs extension manager now if

you don't already have the regular labs

extension manager here's let me log in

again what you want to do is go through

regular labs download it and install it

and I have a tutorial on doing that I'll

put a card up here and the page at this

point and include it in the end screen

cards as well so when we go to

Labs extension manager we're going to go

down to cache cleaner and install click

on install click start once installed we

get this message here clear your

browser's cache and we can click on the

system plug-in button that takes us to

the system plugins and we just need to

filter for word cash once that comes up

its system regular labs cache cleaner

that we want to do the setup for and

here are the settings purge cash yes

clear the expired cash the update cash

the opie cash don't even know what the

opie cash is but I purge it and if you

want to clean the cash ever by using the

front end of your site you can put a

front-end secret word in this field and

just add it to the end of this URL of

course changing your domain to whatever

your domain is now in this next setting

automatic cleaning unsaved if I turn

this to yes which I always do using this

anything that you do in the backend of

the site that's listed down here clean

on tasks so let's save a pie apply

publish unpublish other things whenever

you save an article for example it will

empty the cache that is really great

because if you have just made an edit to

an article you want to see the latest

version the cash gets cleaned you're

always seeing the freshest one it's

especially good if you have users that

are doing things in the back end of your

site because sometimes they'll make

changes and if they go to view their

changes if they're adding to a blog or

whatever they're doing and they don't

see things change it gets confusing to

them this way if they were to be working

in the back end and save something and

change it it clears the cache they

always see the fresh version now if you

have users that are editing things

through the front end such as a blogger

or a calendar whatever they're logged in

the front end to use you can also enable

the cash to be cleaned whenever a front

end user

does one of these actions below now show

message here this will show a message

saying that the cash is being cleaned

and what size the cash was the default

for the administrator when it's enabled

is yes and for the front end it's no

don't really need to show them a message

on the front end now in this particular

case no one's going to use the front

anyway so i'll just keep things simple

and say no on the next tab when we go to

the description just tells you what this

plug-in does we go to advanced and we

have some interesting options here again

this isn't a free version there's many

more options in the pro version and i'll

do another tutorial on the pro version

and once i have that done i'll put a

card to it at this point in the video

and probably in the end screens or it'll

be in a playlist for for this component

or for regular labs component but up

here our choice is do we want to empty

the temporary folder only via a button

yes we want to empty it or no and this

is when things are saved so i'm going to

say yes we want to empty the temporary

folder when things are saved which would

go back to this setting back here I'm

not cleaning unsafe let's click back

this Advanced tab and now at the bottom

here do we want to show the size of the

cache when it was deleted that's just

preference for you ignore files or

folders when we mouse over this we see

you can put in there a path that is

relative to the root of the site so that

if there are some folders that you don't

want getting deleted when the cash is

clean you can put an exact path and the

cash will be clean but certain files

will be ignored so if you run into a

situation where it's like yes I want

most of the cash clean but I do want

some things left in there you can

customize it with an individual paths

there to those files and then finally

the administrator module options and

this is the module that appears in the

backend of the site not the front end of

the site you can display an icon only

for deleting the cash text only or both

and we're going to see when we save the

so that that that icon and text which

I'm going to leave selected both will

appear up here and that's what you click

to empty the cash in a quicker way than

going through the juma menu system but

you also can change the text that's in

that button and you have to choose

whether you're going to display the

toolbar as a button display that toolbar

button and I will say yes so those are

all the settings we can save and close

you'll see right away we have this

button here for clean the cash now if I

click on that right now it shows up here

cash clean though it went very quick

cash cleaned it was about 10k let me

click it again it shows no slides there

let's put something in the cash for to

change I'll just preview the front of

the site free joomla install and now we

can click cash we're going to watch up

here for what size is deleted and we'll

see there nothing was deleted that's

because there's no caching turned on in

this site let's do that quickly system

global configuration and under the

system tab we will offset cash to on

conservative cash and we're just save

and close notice the clean cash button

was there at the top but on the main

control panel it doesn't appear but

other panels like content articles or

other screens it does show up here to

the right if you need to clean the cash

and that button does not show up where

you're working on the site of course you

can always go back to system clear cache

and then go through the options there of

selecting what you want to clear or

deleting all if the button doesn't show

up now when we refresh the front end of

the site we can go back and i will then

clean the cash and we'll see just above

that the size of the cache that has been

cleaned green Cash 64 kilobytes all

right now also let's refresh this page

that makes a cached version of this page

and go into that getting started

call and I'm going to take over the

second ? from an earlier demonstration I

was doing for someone now when I go save

or save and close the cash is going to

be emptied automatically because that's

what we set the plug in to do and we'll

see the message at the top there we go

that is really going to save a lot of

time for you when you are doing things

in the front end of your site making

changes in the back if you want to

refresh your joomla site but not from

the cache simply hitting the clean cache

Introducing the Spanish Phrygian Scale | Music Theory | Composition | Berklee Online - Duration: 10:11.

Today's lesson, we're going to talk about a couple of different scales.

But in this demonstration, I'd like to just focus on one.

It's called the Spanish Phrygian scale.

As the name implies, it has attributes of the Phrygian scale.

But it has an extra bonus note, which adds a little bit of color

both in terms of harmony and gives us some melodic alternatives as we're

exploring the tones of the scale.

As you're dealing with these individually exotic scales this week,

I'd like to encourage you to write little sketches just

in the world of each scale and to think of it as, again, a mood or a setting

or a landscape or a spacescape, if you want to,

an underwater scape in the case of some scales, the dream state,

if you want to.

Let your imagination go wild.

And try to come to some sort of emblematic association in your own mind

with the scales.

That's when they really become powerful because you

can use them in your own language to help with storytelling.

Now the Spanish Phrygian scale is very interesting.

Of course, we know the Phrygian scale starting on C is 1--

[PLAYING SCALE]

--flat 2, flat 3, 4, 5, flat 6, flat 7, 1.

And at this point, you've written a Phrygian piece

and have explored it inside and out both in terms of melody and harmony.

Now the Spanish Phrygian is really interesting

because we get a bonus note.

We have not only a minor third, but we also

have a major third included in the scale.

So Spanish Phrygian sounds like this--

So we've got--

[SINGING RHYTHM]

Very interesting collection.

Incidentally, it's the same collection as the mixolydian flat 9 sharp 9

flat 13 scale, which you've learned to associate with dominant seventh chords,

which move to minor target chords.

Now it's the same collection of notes, but we're

going to orient it very differently.

Rather than think about the basic triad and seventh chord as a dominant chord

which resolves to a minor tonic chord, we're going to think about the basic 1,

or the root note triad--

[PLAYING SCALE]

--as being the tonic chord of this particular scale.

That's kind of an interesting concept.

Let me play you something that I think you'll find very familiar.

[PLAYING PIANO]

Sound familiar?

A flamenco cadence, or what we refer to as the Phrygian cadence in music.

Even though it sounds like--

[PLAYING PIANO]

--we're in a loop that moves back to that chord,

we're really thinking of this triad, the tonic triad,

as being the center of the scale.

That's going to be the chord of resolution.

So it's kind of like a dominant scale, which

is being turned on its head in a way, so if you can wrap your mind around that.

It's very energetic, has a dark color.

But it also has this festive tonic major triad that we can use.

Let's take a look at the scale in terms of its melodic possibilities.

So I'm going to just hold the tonic triad.

[PLAYING CHORD]

And I'm going to work through the tones of the scale.

[PLAYING SCALE]

Visions of bullfights and old Spain.

[PLAYING PIANO]

Now the fact that we have two thirds, both a Me and a Mi,

gives us melodic cadential options or a melodic alternative.

So we can come down the scale or move up the scale,

skipping Me and going from Ra to Mi and getting a very exotic sort of Arabic

or Turkic sounding melodic gesture.

[PLAYING PIANO]

Got a lot of nice potential.

[PLAYING PIANO]

Or we can use the flat third as well.

[PLAYING PIANO]

And that really comes into conflict with that tonic triad.

Doesn't it?

[PLAYING PIANO]

Because we get that sharp 9 tension that we've come to understand in the blues.

[PLAYING PIANO]

So within the Spanish Phrygian scale, you

have the potential for two melodic alternative thirds.

We want to think of the major third as being our tonic triad sound.

But we can decorate with either the sharp 9 sound of the minor third

or have the augmented second skip of Ra to Mi as a potential melodic delight.

[PLAYING PIANO]

Or even both of them in combination.

[PLAYING PIANO]

Possible elaborate decoration there.

[PLAYING PIANO]

So that's up for you to explore and just find your own style

in Spanish Phrygian.

Spanish Phrygian is a favorite of the film composer Jeff Beale.

Actually, he is more associated with television.

He's done a lot of work for HBO.

He's done the HBO series, Rome, also, House of Cards for Netflix.

And he's done a number of made-for-television movies.

And the Spanish Phrygian sound is his characteristic sound.

So I'd urge you to check out some of his work

and see how he's using it in his sound cues for media.

Let's look at the Spanish Phrygian scale from a harmonic perspective.

We have the tonic triad C major.

[PLAYING CHORD]

We have the cadence chord flat 2 major--

[PLAYING CHORD]

--from the Phrygian character.

[PLAYING CHORD]

We have the potential for flat 3 major as an approach.

[PLAYING CHORDS]

And then the subdominant chord within the key is going to be F minor--

[PLAYING CHORD]

--which gives us another stable area.

But again, we have to be very careful to treat it as subdominant

and to give emphasis to the tonic so that we're not tonicizing the 4 chord.

Again, this scale has a lot of potential to sound like a dominant.

And we have to flip it on its head and make sure

that we're hearing the tonic triad in its appropriate position.

On the top half of the scale, we have the flat 7 minor chord familiar to us

from the Phrygian mode as a cadence chord.

We have flat 6 major, which can work as an approach chord to flat 7.

[PLAYING PIANO]

Isn't it wonderful?

Really bold.

You know, it just sounds like black and red to me.

[PLAYING PIANO]

And then also within the scale, we have a couple of unstable chords.

We have the 3 diminished triad--

[PLAYING CHORD]

--and by extension--

[PLAYING CHORD]

--the 3 diminished seventh chord, which is

handy for an approach to the subdominant.

[PLAYING PIANO]

3 diminished 7.

[PLAYING PIANO]

And then we also have the 5 minor 7 flat 5

and the 5 diminished chord, which is an approach to the flat 6.

[PLAYING PIANO]

So once again now, we have a scale which is more complex than the Phrygian mode.

It has the potential for possible tonicization of the 4 chord.

So you have to be very careful in how you treat it temporally.

Give lots of emphasis to the tonic major triad.

Embellish it often.

Cadence with the typical Phrygian cadence chords.

And then also, when you're writing in Spanish Phrygian melody,

you have those two melodic alternatives, the flat 3 and the 3,

which can be used to different colorful advantages.

So enjoy yourself.

And explore the Spanish Phrygian mode.

Write a small piece.

Explore the harmonic possibilities.

Explore the melodic possibilities.

And increase your compositional vocabulary.

Hi, I'm Mike. Welcome to Oxford Online English! In this lesson, you can learn about the pronunciation

of contractions. You'll see how to make contractions, how to pronounce them, and when

to use contractions in English.

What are contractions?

Contractions are when we put two words together by making one word shorter.

For example:

He is --> He's; They will --> They'll;

Do not --> Don't.

But which words can you make contractions from?

Part one: how to make positive contractions.

Here are the words that can make contractions in English:

am --> 'm; are --> 're;

is --> 's; will --> 'll;

would --> 'd; have --> 've;

has --> 's; had --> 'd.

Let's see an example in a sentence:

You are the nicest person I have ever met.

We can make two contractions here. Can you see where?

You can contract you are to you're, and I have to I've.

You're the nicest person I've ever met.

The pronunciation of contractions can change depending on how fast you're speaking. The

pronunciation can be quite clear and 'textbook':

You're the nicest person I've met.

Or, the pronunciation can be faster and weaker:

You're the nicest person I've met.

This fast, weak pronunciation is very common.

Let's do another example:

They will think he has gone completely mad!

Can you see where we can make contractions?

Here's the answer:

They'll think he's gone completely mad!

Many English learners find contractions with will difficult to pronounce.

Let's practice quickly: say they'll.

As you pronounce the vowel, /eɪ/, slide your tongue forward to add the /l/ sound: they'll,

they'll.

Now, try the full sentence:

They'll think he's gone completely mad!

Let's do one more example:

I am sure she would call if anything had happened.

Here, you can make three contractions. Can you see them?

We can make contractions with am, would and had:

I'm sure she'd call if anything'd happened.

Try saying the sentence.

Do you notice anything here? There are two things which we need to pay attention to.

Firstly, different words (had and would), can have the same contraction: 'd.

Secondly, the pronunciation of the 'd contraction is different in she'd and anything'd.

Do you know why?

Let's find out!

Part two: pronunciation of contractions.

Most contractions have two different pronunciations.

The only contractions which never change are will and am. Contractions of will are always

pronounced 'll. Am is always 'm.

Contractions of are, is, would, have, has and had can have different pronunciations.

Why does the pronunciation change? It mostly depends on the sound before the contraction.

Sometimes, it depends on the sound after the contraction.

For would, have, and had, it depends whether the sound before the contraction is a vowel

or a consonant.

The contraction of have is pronounced /v/ after a vowel sound:

I've; we've;

they've;

After a consonant, the contraction of have is pronounced /əv/:

could've; would've;

might've;

The same rule is true for would and had. The contraction is pronounced /d/ after a vowel,

and /əd/ after a consonant:

I'd; she'd;

But:

it'd; Tom'd;

There's one exception to this: if someone's name ends with a vowel sound, we usually treat

it like a consonant for contractions. So, if you wanted to say:

Sophie'd help you if you asked her.

Even though Sophie ends with a vowel sound, we generally pronounce the contraction as

/əd/, because it's a name.

Notice how I said 'usually' and 'generally'? It's because this isn't exactly a rule.

It's more common, and I advise you to follow it, but not all native speakers speak this

way all the time.

Next, let's look at is and has.

The contraction of is and has is pronounced /z/ after most sounds:

he's; there's;

Dave's.

However, after /t/, /p/, /k/, /f/ or /θ/, the contraction of is or has is pronounced

/s/.

it's; Seth's;

top's.

We don't contract is or has after the sounds /tʃ/, /ʃ/, /dʒ/, /ʒ/, /s/ or /z/, because

the contraction would be impossible to pronounce clearly.

That leaves are. Are is a bit different, because the pronunciation depends on the sound after,

not before. Look at an example:

We're a good team. We're the best team.

Before a vowel sound, the contraction of are has a /r/ sound. Before a consonant sound,

the contraction is pronounced as a schwa sound: /ə/.

Now, you've seen common contractions and how to pronounce them.

Next, let's look at:

Part three: how to make negative contractions.

If you have an auxiliary verb plus not, you can put the words together and contract not

to n't.

For example:

do not --> don't; is not --> isn't;

have not --> haven't; would not --> wouldn't.

This isn't a full list.

There's one which is a bit strange: will not contracts to won't.

Also, you can't make a negative contraction with am not. You can't say amn't. Why

not? Because I can't even say amn't. Saying amn't is really difficult. That's why.

Let's try a few examples. Look at this sentence. Where can you make contractions?

He does not understand why they did not help him.

We can contract this to:

He doesn't understand why they didn't help him.

Let's do another:

They are not happy that the company has not told them anything.

There are two contractions here. Can you see them?

They aren't happy that the company hasn't told them anything.

We'll do one more example:

You should not have said yes if you could not do it.

Where are the possible contractions here?

You shouldn't have said yes if you couldn't do it.

Sometimes with negative contractions, there are two possible contractions. For example:

They are not here yet.

You could contract this to:

They aren't here yet.

Or:

They're not here yet.

In most places, the first option is more common. That means you contract not.

However, both are correct, and it doesn't matter which one you use.

So now you know how to form and pronounce common contractions, but when should you use

them?

Part four: how to use contractions.

Generally, you should use contractions when you speak. Using contractions sounds more

natural in spoken English.

Look at an example from earlier:

He does not understand why they did not help him.

If you're speaking to someone, and you say this sentence without the contractions, it

sounds a bit robotic and unnatural. Try it—say the sentence out loud with no contractions.

Doesn't it sound a bit strange?

Pronouncing the contractions makes it sound much more natural:

He doesn't understand why they didn't help him.

So, are there any cases where you shouldn't use contractions?

If you're speaking more formally, you might use fewer contractions.

If you want to emphasise something, you shouldn't use contractions. For example:

That is not what I said. He is the best player on the team.

I have called several times.

You need to use the full, uncontracted form if you need to emphasise the verb or negative.

There's one more case where you can't use contractions: don't use positive contractions

at the end of a sentence or clause.

For example, if someone asks you:

Is he ready?

You should answer:

Yes, he is.

And not:

Yes, he's.

However, negative contractions can go at the end of a sentence or clause, so it's fine

to say:

No, he isn't.

What about written English?

You can use contractions in informal writing; you probably shouldn't use contractions

in formal writing, like an essay.

Also, many contractions are used in speech but not generally in writing. For example,

you can say:

These're the chocolates that your friends've sent us.

This'd be a good time to think about it.

Contractions like these're, friends've and this'd aren't often used in written

English, even in very informal writing.

If you're not sure if you can use a contraction or not when you're writing, then just use

the full form.

There are some more contractions like this, which are common in spoken language, but which

aren't written down.

Let's take a look:

Part five: unwritten contractions.

Here's a sentence:

They would have enjoyed it, but they would not have stayed long.

What contractions can you make here?

Well, would contracts to 'd, and have contracts to 've. What does that give us?

In the first part, you should say:

They'd've enjoyed it…

What about the second part of the sentence?

Not contracts to n't. Have contracts to 've. So, you say:

…but they wouldn't've stayed long.

Try saying the whole sentence with the contractions:

They'd've enjoyed it, but they wouldn't've stayed long.

Do these contractions look weird? If so, it's because we almost never write them.

What other contractions are like this?

You can contract did to 'd in speaking, but not in writing:

What did you tell her? --> What'd you tell her?

When did you get here? --> When'd you get here?

How did you like it? --> How'd you like it?

You can contract will have to 'll've and would have to 'd've:

They will have left by now. --> They'll've left by now.

We would have been late anyway. --> We'd've been late anyway.

You can contract not have after a modal verb to n't've:

They could not have helped. --> They couldn't've helped.

I would not have said anything. --> I wouldn't've said anything.

Remember: use these contractions when you speak, but not in writing!

DIY Beaded Necklace Handmade Tutorial [eng subs] - Duration: 5:55.

Hello to everyone,

today we will make light spring-summer necklace

with leaves and various beads.

So, let's get started.

We need:

4 chains in lengths of 5 cm,

fishing line,

8 beads,

28 beads with beautiful greenish divorces,

2 types of shiny beads,

matte and ribbed beads

gold pins with a ball,

as well as a plastic leaves of two colors,

3 light green and 2 dark green.

Also I will use cutters, round nose pliers

and you will also see pins with a loop,

connecting rings and a toggle lock

at the end of the video.

At first,

we need to make four bunches with beads.

I have already done the first for example,

then I continue to build the next one.

We put the small bead,

then matte olive bead,

measure 0.8 mm from the bead,

cut the surpluses off

and bend a loop in the form of a hook.

In the same way,

I fix the other beads on the pins.

After that,

we will fasten all our finished parts to the chain.

I advise you to move from the bottom to the up.

It is more convenient.

On the second link of the chain

we put a pin with a matte bead

and close the loop.

Attach the same bead to the second link of the chain.

On the third link I attach only one red bead,

and on the fourth link the corrugated bead.

I advise to fix them from different edges of the links.

So our beads on the chain looks like a bunch

and all the elements harmoniously gather in the composition).

At the last link of the chain,

I put a red bead on

and proceed to the next stage of assembling the necklace.

We put 13 large beads on a double fishing line,

This will be the left side of the necklace

Further we form its middle

Put a light green leaf,

then a large bead

and put the needle into the first link of our bunch.

After the bunch we arrange a large bead.

Now we already put a dark green leaf

on the finishing line

and continue assembly other details in the same order.

I also filled the right side

of the necklace with 13 beads

and now I fix the pin with the eyelet.

I put the needle on the pin,

then put into the bead

and there I make several strong knots

After that I take the needle into the neighboring bead

and cut the line off.

We do the same on the other side...

On the one side we put a large bead into the pin,

bend the loop and also put

the first part of the toggle lock in the form of a stick.

On the other side we fix

the second part of the toggle in the form of a ring.

So, we just need to put the wand

into the ring pull out both sides of the necklace,

the lock locks and we will wear the necklace!

Energy in Motion from the Dream� The Dream comes First and before physical Reality or

rather The Illusion� For the actual Atomic Structure should never have Substance with

the displacement of the actual Matter that the Material world is made of, or what We

Perceive� ha�.

nothing should be Solid!

As stated all the matter is the visible universe should have the density of a pea if space

The Quantum is more of Consciousness defining the Laws of that you/me/we desire to experience�

Ha� As Lisa Renee speaks of the Metatronic Codes in her latest and saying that those

Codes are what keeps you in this Reality (perceived reality), Well, ha� Of Course!

NEVER be Nothing because a Nothing IS a Something which gives it a the least a �1��.

All has Polarity and is subject to the Metatronic Magnetic Codes in THIS Universal Programming

Illusion unless one chooses to remove themselves Consciously from the program which can only

mean the return to the ONE Singularity� that occurs via consciousness and a heart

have to maintain that level of LIGHT/FREQUENCY Before you can proceed� That�s just a

Everything in this universe is DC in its electromagnetic patterns at the base because it is nothing

+ or � IS the more Truthful reality as its all DC Magnetic polarity that has frequencies

I just ran around a little bit and I'm like, whew!

You know, we have a joke in rehearsal that I'm like the Cruise Director

because I'm like, come on everybody let's go into this world!

And today we're gonna go dancing!

And tomorrow we're gonna go celebrate outside!

And it's kind of ridiculous but at the same time

it's because we're building a family, you know?

And this play, because there are some challenging material and it terrifies me

and I think the more we can jump into that with love,

the further we're able to go to getting at the humanity of those characters.

The process of working on a play actually begins way before rehearsal begins.

Reading the play, analyzing the text, comparing it with the novel.

You research images, you think about music.

Like, what is the landscape from which we are going to explore?

You think you know one thing about the play and then you come into rehearsal and

you have a series of a whole 'nother group of collaborators who are telling you

more information about the play and from the inside too.

And that's what I love about the process, is that it continues to evolve and develop.

I feel like it's important to put yourself most fully out there as an artist

and to be just as brave as the actors, just as brave as everybody else

who's kind of coming to see it.

The director is super present inside of the production

and you have to be super honest, and rigorous and truthful.

And when you're not, or if you try to take shortcuts, or if you aren't present with where you are

and who you're with, and where you're doing it, that kind of comes through.

I'm not sure if I want that answer to be the only one because I feel like the --

What is the most important thing that you learn as a director?

Awareness of the time that you're living in as you're making art is so essential,

and because we're working in a place where people actually can come together,

it feels important to make art that is not ignoring that.

We come to the theater to understand who we are as human beings, right?

And sometimes, we're sharing the world with people we don't even recognize are in the world with us.

I realize my secret mission is I hope we want to be better humans.

I hope we want to appreciate each other.

I hope we want to see each other
