Waching daily Apr 27 2017

hi there, Vladimir here with another video on how to learn English

Every language learner's dream is to talk to a native speaker

every English language learner's dream is to speak to a native English speaker

some prefer Americans, others prefer Brits

if we could only have an English native speaker we will all be fluent in no time,

and of course when we say have we mean for free

I am here to tell you that there are plenty of native English speakers available for free

I will even say that they might be willing to pay to hear you speak

How and where can you find English native speakers to practice your English for free?

free, such a sweet sounding word

But before I give you the answer, there is something very important you need to know

Isn't that what most youtubers say before they answer a question, waste your time with

useless information, but I am not most youtubers

what I wanna tell you is very important

I wanna tell you is that it doesn't really matter whether the speaker is native or non-native

as long as they can speak OK English of course

if you want to practice your listening, there are plenty of native speakers available for free

Movies guys, Hollywood movies, watch movies, TED talks

that's the best way to practice your listening, it's free

and if you want somebody to correct your mistakes, I can tell you from experience

that mistake correction doesn't really work

having somebody correct your mistakes won't improve your English all that much

trust me

the goal of every language learner is to acquire the ability to self-correct and

the only way to reach that goal is to read a lot listen to a lot of English, and listen to your own voice

speaking is important but it doesn't have to be with a native speaker

But that's not what you are here for, you want to know where you can find

native speakers of English for free

On YouTube

Native speakers of English are also interested in learning other languages

you can offer an exchange, you teach your native language and they teach you English

go to the comment section of some of the most popular YouTube videos of

how to learn your native language

Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, whatever it may be, and l

eave your Skype or WhatsApp Viber info

and offer your language expertise

I personally believe that native doesn't mean the best but that's just me

do that, it is free and relatively safe

but did you know that there is even a way to get paid to speak English

all you need is have something interesting to talk about

something you are good at, or knowledgable about

Start a YouTube channel and talk about your hobby, or school, or work

you don't need to show your face,

just buy a good microphone and start a YouTube channel

in English of course

Talk about your favorite movies, or books, or cars, or fashion designer or how to make

sushi, or how to take pictures, or whatever you are interested in and good at

Prepare a script and just read it, make sure there are no grammatical mistakes

Prepare a script, read it and post it on YouTube

talk about the things you like and you are passionate about

We all like listening and communicating with people who are passionate about what they do

Plenty of native speakers will contact you and might even pay for your knowledge

don't tell them that you are doing it in order to learn English

Nobody wants to teach for free, but if you have something interesting to talk about,

people will happily talk to you for free and even pay you

If YouTube is too big of a jump for you then you could go on Twitter or Facebook and

join a discussion on a topic of your interest

in English of course

write a comment, share your opinion and I'm sure native speakers will respond

but again, don't tell them you are there to learn English

don't tell them you are looking for native English speakers to practice your English

just talk about your common interests and passion

photography, gardening, fashion, cooking, movies, books, cars, games,

at the very least you can start teaching your native language on YouTube

make videos about how to learn your native language

there are 500 million native speakers of English out there

I'm sure there are more than a few who will be interested in learning your native language

regardless of how minor it might be

and again, you don't need to show yourself if you are camera shy

there are plenty of other ways

Prepare a script and read it, but make sure there are no grammatical mistakes

there is a whole chapter in my book Virtually Native teaching you

how to write grammatically correct sentences

Virtually Native is available at Amazon and virtuallynative.com

9 Amazing Uses for Vicks VapoRub - You should Apply These - Duration: 2:54.

9 Amazing Uses for Vicks VapoRub - You should Apply These

Vicks is an old topical cream intended to relieve head, throat and chest congestion.

Vicks VapoRub has been around for over 100 years and is one of the most widely used over-the-counter

decongestants.

Lately, there has been a lot of buzz about unique and unconventional ways of using this

odiferous ointment.

You will be surprised to know that Vicks is a supposed treatment for much more than a

congested chest.

1.

Relieving the chest The most common use of Vicks is to decongest

the chest and throat area.

When applied to the upper chest, it provides excellent relief from the symptoms of coughing

and congestion.

2.

In Your Tootsies Applying Vicks to your feet provides relief

from coughing at night.

Thoroughly rub VapoRub all over your feet and cover them with socks.

Within moments your cough will disappear-in the morning you will wake up a new woman free

of hacking.

3.

Pet Pee-Pee Deterrence If your dog or cat is not yet trained, put

an open bottle of Vicks in the area you like to mark as your territory.

The smell will dissuade you from raising your legs and wet the carpet.

4.

The headaches are gone Rub a small amount of Vicks VapoRub on the

temples and forehead to help relieve headaches.

The menthol smell will release pressure on your head and instantly relieve the pain.

5.

Ticks and Bugs If you morden a tick, apply Vicks immediately.

Strong odor can help the creature to release and stop bothering you.

6.

Reek-free Racehorses Professional racers suffocate VapoRub under

the nostrils of racing horses on the day of the race.

The stench strongly discourages stallions from the seductive scent of the female pony

and keeps them focused on the breed.

7.

Knives and paper chips To prevent infection and speed healing time,

dab a small amount of Vicks into any small cut or splinter.

8.

Humidify your dream Vicks VapoRub can be used in special types

of humidifiers and vaporizers.

Make sure your humidifier has an aromatherapy compartment before use.

The humidifier will circulate Vicks through the air and keep the breath easy throughout

the night.

9.

Achy Breaky Muscles Vicks relieves sore and excessive muscles.

It increases circulation and provides almost instantaneous help.

Use a generous portion and apply it throughout the sore area.

(Be sure to warn your bed partner as the stench can ensure a nookie-free night.)

Gen Y Money: What to do with your money if you'll never buy a home - Duration: 2:12.

If you're a hundred percent certain that you'll never be a home owner,

you'll need to set up your finances accordingly.

Homeowners are forced to make regular monthly mortgage payments.

Think of it as a forced saving schedule,

so they are building wealth they can use down the road.

As a life-long renter who wants to

end up with as much wealth as a homeowner,

you'll need to do one thing.

Save.

Save consistently and save aggressively.

Although you are still going to be paying rent,

take the money you as a homeowner would have spent

on property taxes and maintaining your home and save it.

This amount will obviously

depend on where you buy and the size of your home,

but one adviser recently told The Globe,

a rough guide would be to save

The first thing you need to do is build an emergency fund.

That way you can have cash you can easily access

from the bank,

if you lose your job, your car breaks down

or you have a medical crisis.

A long-term goal all Millennials should have

is stashing money away for retirement.

The earlier you come up with a plan and start saving,

the better.

That's especially true for Millennials without a company pension.

Retirement funds should be invested in

Registered Retirement Savings Plan in part,

because it's harder to take money out of an RRSP

than it is from a tax-free savings account.

So it will help you stay on track.

And if you're feeling down about your renting status,

remember that home ownership is not a

guaranteed ticket to financial success.

You can end up with just as much wealth as a renter,

as you can as a homeowner,

but it's up to you to save and invest.

Flabby Arms and Bat Wings? How to Hide Them with Style! - Duration: 7:38.

Join us today for fashion tips over 50

how do we make our arms not look flabby?

and we're back for another segment with

Scarlett of Bease, Scarlett thanks for

saying over! we are right at the cusp of

you know starting to change our wardrobe

for summer and it gets a little scary

this time of year do we wear that

sleeveless look or not, what advice do

you have for us in that regard?

okay so this is a big deal because I

would say 9 out of 1 women I work with do

not like their arms they don't want to

show their arms they don't want to wave

hello or goodbye to anybody as I made a

joke with you at one point, that some women

would rather go topless and show their arms

they really hate their arms, you know

because your breasts stay they stay they

keep better than your arms yeah the arms

go pretty fast, unless we're like really

really into the gym stuff you know and

then have Michelle Obama's arms we're

not you know it's a tough call and I

have to say this time of year is rough

but even in the winter now they they

sell a lot of sleeveless shirts yeah in the

winter, there's no longer this time period

where it okay once it gets warm get

to go sleeveless it's hard to find

sleeves any time of year

terrible it's really bad so the thing is

that you want to find sheer things that

you can wear for one thing, so if you go

to wear like a tank, like you have on like

a tank kind of style yeah I was hesitant

to to wear it or not especially

when you're here,

your arms are good but you might

not like showing your arms because I mean

there are women who have great arms and they don't want to

want to show because they they think

that they look bad and they really don't

but, it's difficult, it's about perception

yeah and how that makes you feel right

that's that's all that really matters, is how

you feel so like I threw this on this

little shear you can see through it

kind of top, it's very pretty,

but it's just enough to you know cover

my upper

arms so that I feel better about my

arms the other thing is that I want to

stay avoid t-shirt type of sleeves Oh

really, they stop at the widest

part and make your arms look wider

you maybe happy that something is

contained you're actually going to look

bigger you know, that's a big thing

also be careful

that you're not wearing bras that are too

tight because then things are going to

start billowing over and that's going to make

your upper part look a little yeah meaty

and also think about the cold ...

what's it called the cold shoulder now is a

really really big style, is that the one

that's where they have the peekaboo

shoulder yeah so when you have a cold

shoulder you're covered up here and then

you're covered right on that fleshy part

and then that meaty part up here which

is more muscular it looks great okay can

be good you have to try it at any age

can wear this now and as you can also do

like scarves you know sheer sheer scarves for

the warmer weather and you can drape

that over your shoulders too, you know its

kind of funny we were at a black-tie

wedding in Florida last year and my

husband leaned over to me and said look at

all the ladies wearing shawls over their

shoulders like he had he was clueless why

so many women had like these

pretty shawls ... and the other thing is

that you want to again I am as I said

earlier about you know taking the eyes

way to the butt you want to take your

eyes away from the shoulders then do

something around your face whether it's

great earrings or necklace you know

bring bring the attention up here and

then you won't be worried about this and

I also want to say that women have to

like make a movement and I and I really

urge this when you go into a store and

your shopping and you're struggling to

find tops that you know cover up the arms

talk to the store manager, talk to the buyer

whoever you can get a hold of and say

would you I need more that covers up

my arms because it's really

we don't speak up we're not going to

get it, no I mean I really want them to

speak up you know about this, it's a really

a big problem, who get's a thumbs up

from you for in terms of a manufacturer

about you know more catering to more of

maybe our vintage but in a very you know

in a good way

well I'm a big fan of a line called Nic

and Zoe's at Nick and Zoe's okay Nic

N I C and then Zoe ... she named it

after her children and she's from

Boston actually and she created a line

of clothes that I have, every

one of my clients I think for her

because what her designs do is they

actually are the patterns are done such

a way that it can create some waistline

I love her stuff she should only know

how much I love her stuff, and so I'm

actually the top I have on now is

now that you mention it, is a Nic and Zoe top

and I'm not going to stand up because

I don't really want to, but the patterns are all very

very very perfect, I think it's

really important so when you are in the store

say, hey come on what the heck is

going on here

you know I need something for my arms

they're gonna listen to you because they

want you to buy, they don't want you to

walk out, you know, tell them Scarlett sent me to

talk to you I have her styling system

here I'll change my number, you have more

about arms and you know on your

online system so tell us about that

again? so I created a course of 12 videos that

you can watch on demand on your own pick

what you want it could be about colors

how to make, your how to get rid

of the muffin top your waist line on what

underwear to wear what shoes to wear how

to make your body how to dress

now after you had a baby even

though the baby might already be in

college, so okay that's more to our

audience, it's really not just for people who just had

a baby

it's actually titled if your baby is

driving, and what to do about accessories

accessories are an incredible way to

bring life and personality and

creativity to your wardrobe

it doesn't cost a fortune to get

something at Target for instance and

just add a little color and what to do to make

your own eyes be able to see what works

for you and what doesn't work for you

well in our next segment we are going to

you know come back and talk about color

which you just brought up and be sure you

do check out Scarlett's system

because she is just as funny there

she is here your pleasure to watch she

had me cracking up so check it out and,

I'm a little little quirky okay, Scarlett

thank you for the tips about our arms

and we'll see you on the next segment

talking about color, see you in the sec!

Hope you enjoyed our segment with

Scarlett today. If you missed any of our

previous episodes they're posted

What You Need to Know About Attention Restoration Theory - Duration: 5:13.

An abundance of research has been conducted over the last fifty years on the effect that

nature has on human beings.

The psychological effects alone include benefits like decreased anxiety, stress and anger,

improved self esteem, and treatment of depression.

There's another branch of that research I want to discuss here, however, because of

its implications for your motivation.

That branch deals with the effect nature has on cognition, or mental functioning.

I've included links to some of this research if you want to learn more, but there are literally

hundreds of studies on this topic that approach it from every conceivable angle.

One of the most widely-held theories on the benefits of nature on human cognition is called

Attention Restoration Theory.

Much of the research that has been conducted over the last 25 years have been attempts

to confirm or refute specific elements of this theory.

Attention Restoration Theory was developed by professors Rachel Kaplan, Ph.D., and Stephen

Kaplan, Ph.D. of the University of Michigan in the 1980s.

Attention Restoration Theory asserts that there are two different types of attention:

directed attention and effortless attention.

Directed attention requires you to consciously focus your mind, to perform higher-order functions

like evaluating or constructing logical arguments, inferring meaning, evaluating risks and consequences,

and making decisions.

Those complex mental processes require a high level of focus and mental energy, not only

to perform the task itself, but also to resist distractions and impulses to do other things.

Directed attention then, by definition, requires self control.

I've discussed the concept of self control in another post, and how you can strengthen

it, so that your baseline, or "normal", level of self control increases over time.

In this post, my primary focus is the effect that nature has on replenishing your self-control

"muscle" when it has been weakened or depleted.

This is relevant to your motivation, because low motivation is often the result of a lack

of self control to resist your impulses that try to convince you to do something easier

and/or more pleasurable.

Spending a significant amount of time directing your attention at a task or series of tasks

results in what Attention Restoration Theory calls directed-attention fatigue (DAF).

This fatigue steadily diminishes your effectiveness, i.e. your ability at any point in time to

produce high-quality work.

I've discussed the concept of effectiveness in another post.

One of the fundamental assumptions of Attention Restoration Theory is that complex cognitive

functions and self control both draw from the same energy source.

There is some debate within the academic community whether that energy source is purely physiological

(i.e. the quality and quantity of your food supply), purely psychological, or some combination

of the two.

In either case, exposure to nature has been shown to replenish this shared resource.

Exposure to nature has been shown to improve focus, working memory, cognitive performance,

and self control.

It's important to note that exposure to nature does not simply mean "getting outside",

although it could, depending on where you live.

Getting outside in an urban setting does not provide the attentional relief that natural

settings do.

This is because urban environments are full of things that capture your attention, like

car horns, sirens, billboards and stoplights.

Even worse, many of those same things also require you to use directed attention for

the purpose of making a decision.

For example, you need to decide when it is safe to cross the street, what to do when

you hear that siren, and what to do with the information you just saw on that billboard.

Consequently, urban settings continue the cycle of directed-attention fatigue.

Natural environments, on the other hand, invoke the other kind of attention described in Attention

Restoration Theory: effortless attention.

Generally speaking, natural settings do not pull at your attention relentlessly, forcing

you to make decision after decision.

Instead, they inspire quiet observation, appreciation and relaxation.

While you do need to get outside regularly if you want sustain these benefits long-term,

the research has shown that even short-term exposure can yield a temporary boost in the

benefits I described earlier.

It's worth noting that cell phones and other attention-grabbing devices produce the same

kinds of stimulation as urban environments.

So, even if you do get away into a natural setting, if you carry your cell phone with

you, you won't get the same benefits because you stuck a piece of urban life in your pocket

before you left.

If you want to multiply the benefits of nature you can do what's called "green exercise",

which is just a name for physical activity that's performed in a natural setting, rather

than in your home or at the gym.

The nice thing about green exercise is that you can compound the restorative benefits

that nature has on your self control with exercise.

I've discussed the benefits that exercise has on your self control and motivation in

another post.

So the takeaway from this research is that, if you want to reduce your stress level, improve

your mood and self esteem, and ramp up your memory and self control, start scheduling

regular nature breaks into your routine.

If you can do it every day or at least something close to it, you will benefit significantly.

But even if you live in a densely urban area and can only get away on the weekends, it

will still yield benefits that will make it worth the trip.

Rework By Jason Fried & David Heinemeier Hansson - Book Review - Duration: 4:04.

how's it going everyone my name is Dono

and this is how to happy. In this video

we're going to be doing a book review of

the book rework. So rework is best for

those who are interested in starting a

business or have a business and want a

light and conversational read the

difficulty to digest is really low you

should be able to get something from it

just by skimming the chapters they're super short.

A lot of them are just a paragraph

or two the concepts are all really

refined and easy to understand moving on

to the key insights rework is a book

that is aimed at those who want to have

a business or already have one or are

leaders and want a few quick wins a few

quick ideas that they can use one of the

big themes that keeps coming through in

the book is to execute on simple ideas

basically the idea being that the more

complicated something gets the more

opportunities there are for it to face

roadblocks they also emphasize to go

through quick iteration so get something

done not worry about perfectionism and

then as you go kind of adjust it keep

the ideas simple use common sense and

keep pushing forward another big part of

the book is to use your own common sense

and intuition instead of deferring to

Authority so for example they say why do

you want to grow your business if you

don't have good reasons for wanting to

grow your business maybe you shouldn't

common knowledge says most of the time

that that is something that you should

do so they just challenge you to think

about things and think about your own

goals and ideas and what you want to

accomplish one other big thrust in the

book is this idea of work-life balance

and they iterate several times that if

you're firing a hundred percent all the

time eventually going to burn out and

once you burn out either your work is

going to suffer or you are going to

suffer and it's just not going to be

good so they highly emphasize taking

time for yourself to really work out

your work life balance other

considerations so there's a lot of

really good points in this book but

because of how

short it is and how short the concepts

are sometimes it can be hard to

understanding exactly what the authors

are trying to say or it can be easy to

misinterpret what they're saying because

there's not enough supporting details to

make the concept really strong that

being said it is super approachable and

as long as you're able to kind of pull

the ideas out for yourself and think

about them then you should be able to

get quite a bit of value. When reading

the book use one of their own ideas

which is to keep things simple don't

overcomplicate don't overthink what it

is the ideas are supposed to be really

simple and easy to digest let's move on

to the applicable content a huge theme in

rework is simplification and clean

execution what's one thing you can start

or stop doing to simplify your own life

we often let others expectations guide

us in a certain direction occasionally

one that isn't a good fit is there

anything you've been considering but are

hesitant about because of other people's

opinions or expectations why do they

have those expectations is that really

the right choice for you? consider your

work-life balance for a moment do you

feel happy and productive is there

anything you could change to become even

more happy or productive? so those are a

few questions again the main thrust of

the book is to just really keep things

simple and streamlined get a bunch of

stuff done and maintain a good work-life

balance there are some more nuanced

points in there if you want to check the

book out I will have a link down in the

box below and that's all I've got for

this video so if you have any questions

comments topics you want me to cover as

always also put those down in the box

below and I will see you next time you

This Charger is Not the Rally Car Dodge Wants You to Believe - Duration: 13:34.

This Charger is Not the Rally Car Dodge Wants You to Believe

Each time I get behind the wheel of one of FCA's LX cars, whether it is the Charger, Challenger, or 300, I can't help but make fun of them for being crude, unrefined and, well simply old compared to pretty much everything else on the market today. By the time I'm done with them, however, I'm usually hooked and reluctant to hand the keys back. These cars are sort of a dying breed in this day and age.

America's Big Boy Sedan.

The Rallye package is more of an aesthetic add-on to a V6-powered Charger SXT.

It's essentially a $1,395 set of goodies that adds a surprisingly lofty number of toys for the price, like a blacked-out grille and wheels, a rear spoiler, 19-inch wheels, an R/T front bumper, a Beats by Dr.

Dre premium sound system, and a slight horsepower bump, from 292 to 300 horsepower. Torque also goes up from 260 to 264 lb-ft. What the hell does any of this have to do with rallying?.

Anyway, the rather cheap package also gives the "base" Charger a badass demeanor that's similar to its more serious R/T and Hellcat brothers, so there's that.

Even if it's the little guy in the Charger lineup, it manages to look properly menacing, low, muscular, and mean. I personally dig the Octane Red paint job my tester was covered in.

Many people thought I was an undercover cop, which was neat.

The rest remains intact, meaning this is the same large, aggressively designed, muscle sedan we've come accustomed to over the years, the one in which you still seem to get a thumbs up from anyone just for driving it, although it's been facelifted in 2016 with a different set of LED headlights and tail lights, as well as reworked bumpers front and rear.

Personally, I prefer the look of the 300S. But tastes are subjective, I guess. The Shining Pentastar.

Mechanically, things remain somewhat unmolested for the Charger. In this iteration, power comes from the now popular and frankly excellent Pentastar, 3.6-liter V6, the same one that powered the black Chrysler 300S I reviewed just over a year ago.

That engine remains a peach, and while all the talk is around the Hellcat and the Hemi these days, oh, and the Demon of course, that V6 is actually FCA's best opus, churning out as much power as the V8 engines from just over a decade ago while returning fuel numbers in the low nines.

Lacking the low-end grunt of its eight-cylinder brethrens, the six pot makes it up with a free-revving attitude, happily swinging its tach needle to its near 7,000 rpm redline, all while emitting a raspy, almost exotic intake growl.

As you can see, I really like this engine. It does, however, have some difficulty getting this big guy off the line, where nothing actually happens below 4,000 rpm. Floor it, wait, wait, ah, there she is.

Dodge claims a 0-100 km/h time of 6. 2 seconds, so don't worry, your base Charger won't embarrass you against a Toyota Avalon or a Nissan Maxima.

Like in the 300S, which is essentially a mechanical carbon copy of this Charger, power is either sent directly to the rear or all four wheels. My tester had the all-wheel-drive option ticked off.

The eight-speed automatic transmission, supplied by ZF, remains the only gear changing option for V6-powered Chargers, Challengers and 300s.

It's also the plague of the automotive world these days, typically handicapping some excellent products with laggy shift times, notorious reliability issues, and a habit to never know what it was actually designed to do.

I know that when I reviewed the 300S, I had mentioned how I loved the transmission. The problem is, the more cars I drive, the more I realize how it's lagging behind several excellent offerings in the industry.

To be fair, it's in the Charger/300S that it works best, meaning, it isn't all too bad. It's also a net improvement over the old five-speed.

At least the Charger gets an actual shifter, unlike the Chrysler which gets a ridiculous knob dial instead.

There's a Sport setting! With a manual mode too. But it's downright useless.

It just makes the whole system become erratic and act up for no reason. Like the old American sedans, just leave your Charger in D, and gun the throttle.

That's the best way to get her to boogey – or hunt down the bad guys.

Hand on tight to the wheel while doing so, however, because the transmission might downshift an extra gear for no apparent reason, causing the engine to frantically hit the rev limiter. A Dancing Yacht.

Weighing at just over two tons, the Charger isn't what you would call svelte. The overabundance of heft is, of course, instantly felt behind the wheel, as the Charger exhibits a fair amount of body roll in the bends.

Body motions are very present. But FCA has actually done some clever stuff to that suspension and the Charger remains decisively sporty even if it's huge.

This thing does handle surprisingly well, adding a fresh breath of agility to what would normally be a barge on wheels and making it rather fun to hustle around.

The electrically assisted power steering is also accurate and hefty, giving the driver plenty of confidence. You'll need to grab this old girl by the scruff of the neck, but she'll handle it. Just be ready to be thrown around.

Also, make sure you've got doggy bags lying in the car for your passengers while doing so.

Inside, the Charger is far more spartan and utilitarian than the 300S, which was already dark enough. The Charger's dashboard is also rather bland and old. Forget refinement and fancy materials, this is all plastic and soft spongy stuff.

But it's not terrible. Let's say it gets the job done.

FCA's UConnect infotainment interface remains a strongpoint. It's simple to use, well laid out and quick to react.

Ergonomics are also straight forward in the Charger, with controls that are simple in operation and easy to find. Unfortunately, the Charger doesn't get the same set of madly comfortable seats as the 300S.

At least my tester didn't. Instead, mine was fitted with horrendously hard benches. To make things even worse, the front passenger seat had an awkward bump in the centre which simply couldn't be removed. Yeah, my passengers hated the car.

To get a Dodge Charger Rallye like the one you see here, you must opt for the $41,090, rear-wheel-drive, Charger SXT, which is the second trim in the Charger lineup (a base Charger starts at $37, 990). The Rallye package can be added to RWD or AWD Chargers.

Adding an extra set of drive wheels to your American sedan will cost you an extra $2,000, however, but the Rallye package will cost you $200 less. What a deal!. Oh, and the Octane red paint job is a $50 option.

In total, a Charger Rallye, equipped like my tester, will set you back $44,735. That's not exactly cheap for an old brute that costs nothing to build for FCA anymore.

It also puts it uncomfortably close to other full-size sedans such as the Nissan Maxima or even the Buick Lacrosse, cars that, although not being rear-wheel drive biased and as sports-car-oriented as the Charger, are newer out of the box and offer more refinement and technology.

Here's my final verdict: there's no denying the Dodge Charger remains an appealing vehicle, even if it's long due for an overhaul. And people really like this car in general; I got a lot of positive comments wherever I went.

At the end of the day, this is a large four-door sedan that will offer more than ample rear leg room and cargo space for your family and your gear. There's no arguing how useful that can be.

And even though it's heavier than a Boeing, it still manages to make you smile behind the wheel. It's just one of those big solid American cars that doesn't mind if you nail on it hard.

You get the sense the thing will never die, and there lies most of its charm.

I see owning a Dodge Charger like owning a pet elephant. It's a handful alright. But you simply can't help but love it for what it is.
