>>> HE'S OSCAR NOMINATED CHILD STAR STARRING ALONGSIDE SUCH

HEAVYWEIGHTS AS TOM HANKS AND BRUCE WILLIS IN THE HIT "THE

SIXTH SENSE."

>> HE STARRED IN THE NEW ENT TOURAGE MOVIE, GETTING LOTS OF

LAUGHS. >> NOW PLAYING A SILICON VALLEY

ENTREPRENEUR. I THINK I'VE SAID SILICON VALLEY

AND NOT REALLY THOUGHT ABOUT IT INSTEAD OF SILICONE.

>> TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. >> YEAH, EXACTLY.

>> SO LET'S TALK ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER IN SILICON VALLEY.

HE KIND OF USES HIS CHARM TO GET WHAT HE WANTS.

>> HE DOES. >> YOU THINK HE'S A BIT

MANIPULATIVE? >> SOMEWHAT UNINTENTIONALLY.

HE GETS VERY CONFUSED WHEN HE ISN'T FEELING GOOD BUT IS ALSO

SOMEONE WHO MADE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TOO QUICKLY.

SO, YOU KNOW, IN ONE SCENE OF THE SHOW, HE'S LIKE, I JUST HAD

TO GO TO FIJI AND KITE SURF UNTIL I FELT BETTER.

KIND OF THAT METHODOLOGY AT WORK.

HE KIND OF DRAWS PEOPLE INTO THAT LIFESTYLE.

>> I WISH THAT WOULD HAPPEN. >> IS IT FUN PLAYING A CHARACTER

LIKE THAT? >> ABSOLUTELY, YEAH.

IT'S A FUN SHOW TO BE ON, YOU KNOW, IN ANY SENSE.

BUT TO PLAY THIS KIND OF GUY, KEENAN FELDSPAR, TO BE THE SORT

OF PIED PIPER IN A WAY. TO DRAW THEM INTO HIS THING.

YEAH, IT'S TERRIFIC. >> YOU ACTUALLY AUDITIONED FOR

THIS ROLE. BEING IN THIS BUSINESS FOR AS

MANY YEARS AS YOU'VE BEEN IN IT, WHAT IS THE AUDITION PROCESS

LIKE AT THIS POINT? >> FOR THIS SHOW, THEY JUST HAD

ONE LITTLE SCENE OF ME MEETING T.J. AT THE CAFE SO I DIDN'T

KNOW A LOT ABOUT HIS INTEREST AND OTHER ASPECTS OF THE

CHARACTER. BUT YEAH, AUDITIONING FOR STUFF

IS A GOOD WAY TO STAY SHARP. WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW A WHOLE LOT

ABOUT THE CHARACTER, TO MAKE CERTAIN STRONG CHOICES AND HOPE

THEY'RE THE RIGHT ONES AND LUCKILY IT WORKED OUT IN THIS

CASE. >> DID YOU HAVE THE BEARD AT

THAT TIME? >> WE HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THE

BEARD. >> I TRIMMED IT DOWN A LOT.

I GREW THIS FOR A SHOW I'M DOING ON AMAZON CALLED "OASIS" WHERE I

PLAY A WEED FARMER IN THE FUTURE SO IT SORT OF FELT APPROPRIATE

FOR THAT. >> WEED FARMERS IN THE FUTURE

HAVE BEARDS? >> EXACTLY.

>> I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THEY LOOKED LIKE.

>> THAT IS MY GUARANTEE, YEAH. >> SO THIS IS A REALLY FUN ROLE.

YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING TO BE BACK FOR ANOTHER SEASON?

>> I HOPE SO. LUCKILY, IT'S NOT LIKE "GAME OF

THRONES," SO THEY DON'T MURDER EVERYONE AT THE END OF EVERY

SEASON. YOU USUALLY SEE THESE GUYS

POPPING UP IN THE FUTURE. I REALLY HOPE SO.

IT'S A TERRIFIC CAST. TERRIFIC WRITING AND PRODUCING

TEAM. I LOVE BEING PART OF THE TEAM.

>> IT SEEMS LIKE YOUR CHARACTER'S MADE AN IMPACT.

WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IS? WHAT IS THAT, YOU KNOW WHAT I

MEAN? >> WITH THIS SHOW, I THINK

THERE'S A LOT OF INTEREST IN WHO MIKE JUDGE AND THE TEAM IS SORT

OF, LIKE, PUTTING -- NOT IN THE CROSS HAIRS BUT SORT OF TRYING

TO INVESTIGATE AND NONE OF THESE CHARACTERS ARE ONE TO ONE

REPRESENTATIONS OF REAL-LIFE PEOPLE.

BUT THEY'RE REALLY ON TOP OF WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE REAL

WORLD OF TECH AND I THINK PEOPLE ARE REALLY -- THEY KNOW HOW

CLOSELY MIKE JUDGE HAS HIS FINGER ON THE PULSE OF THINGS.

SORRY, GO AHEAD. >> WELL, NO.

GROWING U, AND YOU GOT TO ACT

ALONG WITH TOM HANKS AND BRUCE WILLIS, WHAT ARE YOUR MEMORIES

OF THAT TIME? >> I REMEMBER IT REALLY WELL.

BEING A PART OF SUCH CRAZY EXPERIENCES REALLY MAKES IT --

SORT OF BURNS IT INTO YOUR MIND. I REMEMBER EVEN TOM HANKS, I WAS

ONLY 4 YEARS OLD AND I WAS STRUCK BY, YOU KNOW, HOW

PREPARED AND HOW DEDICATED HE WAS AND HOW INTENSE HIS FOCUS

WAS ON SET. I GOT LUCKY TO WORK WITH ACTORS

AND DIRECTORS WHO -- >> LOOK, THERE YOU ARE.

>> 25 YEARS AGO. >> SO ADORABLE.

I JUST WANT TO SQUEEZE YOUR CHEEKS.

>> THAT LITTLE PLAY ROOM IN THERE, THEYY HAD A BUNCH OF

LITTLE TOY FOAM BALLINGS. IN BETWEEN SCENES, TOM AND I HAD

LIKE A LITTLE, LIKE, SNOWBALL FIGHT.

>> YOU CAN SQUEEZE HIS CHEEKS NOW IF YOU WANT.

>> I CAN'T GET THROUGH THE BEARD.

>> THAT'S WHY I GREW IT. >> "FOREST GUMP" WAS THE FIRST

MOVIE THAT MADE ME CRY IN THAT SCENE WITH YOU GUYS IN THE END.

BAWLING MY EYES OUT. >> THE HOW OLD WERE YOU?

>> I WAS 4. >> NO, DYLAN.

THE FIRST MOVIE THAT MADE YOU CRY?

>> I YA, THE FIRST MOVIE THAT REALLY MADE ME WEEP.

>> YOU DIDN'T WEEP FOR A LONG TIME.

>> WHAT ABOUT BAMBI? >> OH, YEAH.

>> YOU DID IT. NOW SHE'S A MOM.

SHE CRIES ALL THE TIME. >> I'M GLAD WE COULD --

>> GET THAT. >> YEAH.

>> WE LOVE THE ROLES YOU TAKE ON NOW.

I LOVED YOU IN ENTOURAGE 2. >> THANK YOU.

>> WAS IT HARD TO MAKE THAT TRANSITION FROM CHILD ACTOR TO

BEING WHO YOU ARE NOW? >> IT'S A CHALLENGE.

I WENT TO SCHOOL FOR FIVE YEARS AT NYU AND, LIKE, SORT OF TOOK A

BREAK FROM BEING IN LOS ANGELES. >> OH, THAT'S COOL.

>> STUDIED THEATER THERE. IT WAS A GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO

KIND OF EXPLORE AND FIGURE OUT WHAT I REALLY WANTED TO BE

DOING, YOU KNOW, IN -- AS AN ACTOR.

AND IT ENDED UP BEING A GOOD DECISION.

MET A LOT OF GREAT PEOPLE. SORT OF COMING BACK INTO IT NOW

AND DOING MORE SHOWS LIKE THIS, IT'S WITH THAT BACKGROUND, IT'S

A LOT OF FUN. AS YOU GET OLDER, THERE'S A MORE

DIVERSE RANGE OF CHARACTERS YOU GET T

2015-2016 F150 Flowmaster Outlaw Cat-Back 2.7L EcoBoost Sound Clip & Install - Duration: 6:29.

Hey, everybody.

I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and this is my detailed review and install of the Flowmaster

Outlaw Series Cat-Back Exhaust System, available for your 2015 and up, 2.7-Liter EcoBoost-powered

F-150.

All right, guys, in this video, I'm gonna break down the sound profile you can expect

when checking out the Outlaw Series Cat-Back for your EcoBoost.

We're gonna dissect the construction and materials here with this system, and then finally we'll

take a quick little walk through of the install.

And for the majority of owners out there, one out of three wrenches on the difficulty

meter.

There is a small amount of cutting with some owners out there, but I will talk about that

more in detail later on.

The Outlaw Series from Flowmaster is without a doubt one of their most aggressive offerings

and probably one of the most aggressive cat-backs available in the aftermarket.

So with that said, this is without a doubt gonna be for the EcoBoost owners out there

who wanna be heard and want a whole bunch of noise from that turbo six banger.

Now, this is also gonna be one of the only aftermarket cat-backs available that will

give you some options when it comes to configuration, thanks to the included piping from Flowmaster.

You have the ability to do this thing as a Dual Split Side Exit or a Dual Split Rear

Exit, depending on your mood.

So with all that said, let's take a closer look.

Since this is an exhaust, let's talk sound.

First and foremost here, guys, and as advertised, the Outlaw Series is an absolute screamer

with the EcoBoost trucks, an easy 5 out of 5 on my 1 to 5 or "One to wake the neighbors"

scale.

You're getting a ton of noise, a ton of turbo noise, a ton of engine noise, all the noises

basically here.

And as loud as this thing is on the outside, it's equally as loud on the inside.

Some of you guys might be into that, others maybe not so much.

Now, if you are the type of truck owner out there who takes a lot of trips with the family,

long road trips, things like that, this one might drive the family a little crazy after

a few hours on the road.

So if you are looking for a slightly more quiet experience inside the cab, but you wanna

stick with a name like Flowmaster, be sure to check out their Force II or maybe even

the American Thunder.

All right, guys, so we've established this thing is very loud with the sound clips and

my description, of course, here, but what else can you expect when checking out the

Outlaw Series?

Well, again, one of the coolest things, I think, with this exhaust, is that it gives

you some options when it comes to configuration, Dual Split Side Exit using these pipes or

you can go Dual Split Rear Exit with these pipes, depending on what you're into.

Honestly, Flowmaster is one of the only companies I see doing it at this point, and it does

make them a little bit more desirable because of that.

On the topic of price, guys, you think those extra pipes will add to the price a little

bit, and they will, but really not as bad as you might think.

In my opinion, the Flowmaster systems, in the grand scale here, are gonna fall in the

middle of the road when it does come to price, along with some of the Magnaflow systems and

even the Stainless Works stuff to a certain extent.

You're looking at right around 800 bucks for the Outlaw Cat-Back here, which again really

isn't all that bad when you do factor in that you're getting some options when it comes

to configuration and you are getting some pretty solid materials as well.

And speaking of materials, the Flowmaster is gonna boast 409 grade stainless steel.

Much like that price being middle of the road, the 409 grade stainless is definitely a middle-of-the-road

material.

You're not getting the 304 on the high side, and you're definitely not getting the aluminized

steel on the low side.

Instead, 409, a great material overall and very solid and it's something that Flowmaster

uses with a lot of their systems.

And in fact, it's actually gonna be pretty good at reducing corrosion, if you live in

a saltier climate, or maybe a state that sees a lot of salt during the winter months.

Going even further with the construction, you're gonna find three-inch mandrel-bent

tubing pretty much throughout the entire Outlaw Series System.

Again, all 409 grade stainless steel, like we just talked about, the little baby Outlaw

Series muffler here, and then finally the twin four-inch tips done up in black.

Now, these tips are actually a ceramic coating.

They're not painted, which is a lot better for you guys because that means they're not

gonna chip, they're not gonna fade, or anything like that over the years.

As far as changing out those tips, well, again, something that is very easy to do.

You totally don't have to drop the entire exhaust system to do so.

You've got the Dual Split Side here, the Dual Split Rear Exit, all of these held on by two

clamps.

So if and when you did wanna eventually mix it up a little bit, simply remove the clamps,

switch out the pipes, and you're good to go.

Again, something very quick and very easy to do if you wanted to change them up.

As I mentioned at the top of the video, guys, the install's gonna be very straightforward

for a majority of owners out there, so let's call it one out of three wrenches on the difficulty

meter.

A few owners will have to cut, basically regular cab owners with an eight-foot bed or Super

Crew owners with a six and a half foot bed.

Luckily for you guys, though, Flowmaster lays out very clearly where you need to cut.

If you are one of these owners, just make sure you have your Sawzall and a fresh metal

blade ready to rock and roll.

If not, you're really only looking at a socket set for the rest of the owners out there.

So again, we'll call it one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, maybe an hour or

two in the garage or driveway before you're making some noise.

So if you're the type of EcoBoost owner who really wants to be heard and doesn't mind

hearing a whole bunch of sound inside the cab of your truck, I think you'll really enjoy

the Outlaw Series, and here's why.

You're getting some pretty solid materials, thanks to the 409 grade stainless, you're

getting a solid build overall, thanks to the Flowmaster quality, obviously that great tone,

that loud tone, and then finally the interchangeable exhaust tips, which is a big plus for me.

So that's my review of the Flowmaster Outlaw Series for your EcoBoost, which you can find

right here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Spiritual Growth and the Mind | ANNOTATE - Duration: 1:44.

You hear about the

the new findings in neuroscience about

the plasticity of the brain

- the ability of the brain to

reshape itself -

and I began thinking about how that

whole area would interface with,

what in the Christian world we talk about:

spiritual formation.

My studies have

led me to the conclusion that

it's an artificial distinction to say

on the one hand there's personal growth,

human growth,

and on the other hand,

on the other side, separated from that,

is spiritual growth.

I think God made us as a

as an entire being,

unified so you can't separate

spiritual growth, or personal growth, on the one hand,

and spiritual growth on the other,

they blend together into one.

My goal is to

discover what neuroscience

has uncovered about how we

function as human beings

- how we grow and develop -

and to say

how can we use what we're learning here

in service of growing spiritually

with our aim of becoming more and more like Christ.

Should you supplement with Vitamin D? - Duration: 6:05.

- Hey guys, Robby here from Crossfit South Bend.

Today we're gonna talk about whether you should

supplement with vitamin D.

So vitamin D is something that's been the subject

of intense research over the past number of years

and almost everyone recognizes and admits that

this is absolutely crucial for your overall health

but where things get a little bit tricky is

in the amounts and you know,

what someone should or should not take,

depending on, you know, their individual needs

and health conditions.

So, as always, first thing up front,

not a doctor, can't diagnose, treat, cure, prescibe,

anything like that, always consult your doctor

before stopping or starting supplementation.

That being said, vitamin D is something that

the overwhelming majority of people

should be taking in one form or another.

That being said, I do think that it's really important

to get your levels checked.

So, when you go to your doctor,

what should you check for?

You should be checking for your 25 O-H

vitamin D, vitamin D levels.

So 25 O-H, hydroxy vitamin D levels.

Now there's some debate about where these numbers should be.

Most people agree in the health and wellness arena

that somewhere between 30 and 50

is going to be optimal

below 30 is not so great,

below 20 is really not so great,

and below 10 is a serious deficiency,

a very serious deficiency.

Where things can get a little bit tricky is

you know, some people say,

oh vitamin D, can never get enough,

it's, you know, it does all these crazy, amazing things

and you should just supplement like crazy.

And that's not quite true.

Its a fat-soluble vitamin, meaning that its stored

in your body's fat tissue,

meaning that there is a potential for toxicity

that isn't there with water-soluble vitamins,

like B-12 and vitamin C.

With water soluble vitamins, you basically

pee out the excess.

With vitamin D, however, you store it for longer

but it can also become toxic because of that.

So,

when you get above 50,

you know, it really depends on who you ask,

I tend to think for people with autoimmune diseases

somewhere between, you know, 50 and 70

is gonna be more optimal

than a 30 to 50.

Some people say 60 to 80.

Some people say as high as 100

and I think that's really kinda pushing it,

I think really when you cross that 70 threshold

you really wanna be careful and as always,

make sure that you're talking about this

with a qualified healthcare professional.

But you should get this value tested

because a lot of people, especially here in northern Indiana

in the winter, it's turning into summer now,

but in the winter, you know,

you're not getting enough vitamin D

and it's really hard to get adequate amounts from food.

You can get some from egg yolks,

you can get some from wild caught fish,

you can get some actually from, lard, believe it or not.

But really, not that much,

really not that much from food.

Now, once you get that tested,

how much should you be supplementing with?

Now again, we're doing this in consultation

with a healthcare professional,

but you should consider talking with your

healthcare professional about you know,

maybe somewhere around 5000 IU a day

if you are deficient in vitamin D

and if you're severely deficient

and if someone has an autoimmune condition

then, they should be talking with their

healthcare practitioner about maybe,

somewhere between five and 10,000 IU a day.

Above that really starts to get sketchy.

Now there are two main types of vitamin D

that you can supplement with:

there's vitamin D2, which is a plant-based form that is

routinely prescribed in 50,000 IU amounts by doctors.

This is not really well absorbed,

this is not the main amount,

this is not the main kind that your body utilizes

What we wanna look for is vitamin D3.

And this is the type that you really wanna supplement with

and it also matters the type that you supplement with.

So, not just the type, like D2 versus D3,

but type in the sense of pill versus sublingual.

So with pills, a lot of people with vitamin D deficiency

also have other,

sometimes they have other health issues going on

that make it harder to absorb nutrients in pill form.

So one of the best ways to bring up your vitamin D levels

in a realistic fashion is with either sublingual tablets

that dissolve underneath your tongue,

or sublingual drops that you can put underneath your tongue

and get absorbed that way.

And that tends to be way better

for absorption than your standard run-of-the-mill pill.

A lot of people that I work with,

who've done tests with their doctors, you know,

they do the supplementation with the pill

either a prescription or a,

you know, or just an over the counter pill

and it doesn't really fluctuate,

or doesn't really change the way you want it to

but then, when you do the sublingual stuff

it makes a big difference.

So vitamin D, super important for immunity,

super important for hormonal health,

super important for circadian rhythm regulation,

you know, basically whether you're tired or energetic

throughout different points of the day.

It's super important for a number of different aspects.

So what you wanna do with vitamin D

is you wanna make sure that you get tested,

to find out where your levels are.

And if your levels are inadequate,

make sure you are talking with your healthcare professional

about supplementing with vitamin D3

and ideally in a sublingual tablet or drop form.

Alright guys, thanks so much for tuning in.

We'll see you next time.

Run the Day: Don't Let it Run You! - Duration: 2:57.

Hi, it's Katie with Be Your Own Champion, and today we're going to talk about how

to run your day... don't let it run you! That sounds kind of cheesy but a lot of

times we feel like everything is happening to us and we are just reacting

to all the things that are happening when in reality there are a lot of

things that we could be doing to be prepared and to help make things run

more smoothly so that we feel more on top of things. The first thing I do is to

prep the night before and just so I thought I would share with you a few of

the things that I do in order to help my day run a little more smoothly. The

first one is that I do some preparations the night before I will check my

calendar see what appointments I have, there's anything I need for those

appointments, I check the weather so that I know what clothes to wear. I also will usually pick

out my clothes ahead of time so that when I'm tired when I first wake up and I'm

all groggy I don't have to spend a lot of time trying to figure out what to

wear because I don't know about you but if I'm really tired and I get up and I

haven't picked anything out to wear I will just stand there staring at my

closet for like ten minutes and not get anywhere so it's very

helpful for me to not to think about that. Another thing I do is I will try to

be somewhat protective of my sleep schedule. Some nights I cannot get around it,

I have to stay up late a couple nights during the week; I have a late class and

there are some other things but other than that I try to make sure I'm in bed

at a certain time. I know how many hours of sleep my body needs and I

try to meet that mark every night. Another thing that helps me is to check

over my to-do list whether it's in my head or it's written down and figure out

what is top priority because that is the thing that I need to focus on to make sure

that gets done and if I don't do it first I will schedule time to make sure

that it does get done so that I don't have that hanging over my head. Another

thing I highly recommend is to protect your breaks so if you have scheduled

breaks during the day either like snack breaks (that's what I have) or a lunch

breaks or whatever I make sure that those are protected so I don't work

during that time, I am mostly unavailable and I really need that time to

decompress, to not think about work and to enjoy my food, you know, because food

is important. If you have any other tips that help you with your day to run more

smoothly and to get more done, please share with me put it in the comments

below, I would love to hear what you have to say. Thank you so much for watching.

Bye!

10 Summer Essentials | Hack the Rack ft. Kayley Melissa - Duration: 6:21.

- Hey everyone, Kayley here.

I have a channel here on YouTube called Kayley Melissa,

and today I'm collaborating with Nordstrom Rack

who also sponsored this video.

I'm bringing to you guys a summer essentials haul.

I went through The Rack, I picked out some things

that I really think are gonna be amazing for summer,

and I have a huge mix of things.

We've got a lot of ground to cover, so let's jump right in.

My first summer essential are mules

because they are so easy to wear,

and they look so cool.

I've seen all the cool girls wearing them all over life,

all over Instagram, and so I was really keen

to pick up a pair for myself.

I grabbed these taupe ones from Nordstrom Rack.

They were under $40 which is amazing,

because I was definitely stalking way more expensive ones.

Grabbed last year's sundress out of the closet,

put these with it, and all of a sudden it looks trendy

and ready for the summer.

I think that's amazing.

They're comfortable, they're easy.

If you are a low maintenance fashion like I am,

these are pretty much necessary.

My next summer essential is a day to night romper,

because this the time of the year where you can get away

with pulling out a cute swishy romper

and wearing it all day long.

You can style it for the office

so that it's totally appropriate,

and then you change a few things up

and you can totally wear it out for a night out.

I think that's an amazing part of summertime,

so I actually picked up this striped romper which I love.

It's got a culotte pant,

it's got these little flouncy sleeves,

and again, totally easy to change up from day to night.

So, if you wanna see a video on how you can change up

a romper from day to night for a lot of different occasions,

I actually did one over on my channel,

so you can check that out if you want to.

So, in general, I love playing around

with distressed denim for summer.

I don't know who wouldn't, but Nordstrom Rack had a ton

of different options, and I walked away with this bad boy.

This is a really lightweight denim jacket

that I can see layering so well during the summertime.

I live in LA which is essentially a dessert,

so at night it gets really cold and you always need

to kind of have a layering piece

if you're gonna be out at nighttime.

This one is gonna be perfect for that because it's again,

it's a lightweight, but it's still a jacket,

so and distressed denim.

I'm excited to wear this in the summer for sure.

So, I'm sure no summer essentials video is complete

without a beach bag, and I picked out this year's beach bag,

at least for me,

and it's this lovely straw and crochet situation.

I've seen a lot of craft details coming in

with especially beach bags, but bags in general.

You've got straw, you've got macrame,

you've got pom poms and tassels.

There's so much to play around with.

I really love this one 'cause it gets you

that very chic island feel,

even if you're just heading to your local beach.

And speaking of the beach,

you need to check out some of Nordstrom Rack's beach

and summer items, 'cause they are amazing.

I managed to find this adorable beach towel.

Look at this with the retro blue

and washed out red slash pink.

This thing is massive, it's well-made,

and it's got the cool trim on the ends.

I cannot wait to spread this out on the beach,

wear a swimsuit that matches it,

and look like the cutest person that has ever rolled up

with this and this.

Y'all, it's gonna be a good time.

So, still sticking with the beach theme,

I picked up a swimsuit for my husband.

Now, I always head over to the men's section

of Nordstrom Rack when I'm there

'cause they always have something good.

So, I went over there and they had so many swimsuits.

I don't know if you've ever been swimsuit shopping

with a man before, but it is not easy.

I thought it would be easy, it's not.

But they had all these racks of swimwear,

so I went through it, I sent Jason a couple pictures,

and he picked out these.

I'm gonna see if he will model them for you guys.

If he does, I want all of the applause emojis

in the comments 'cause he deserves it.

But yeah, I love that this year we did not have

to pull teeth to get him a cute swimsuit,

because in the past, that has been the case.

Another place I always go when I go to Nordstrom Rack

is the home section, because they have the cutest

little gems that you can find there.

This time, I actually picked up something from Sunny Life

which is a brand I love.

It's a cutting board.

Now, bear with me.

It's not for cutting things, it's for displaying things.

I was thinking it would be really cute

with some watermelon slices just lined up along here,

and then you get the little striped detail on the side.

And I found these straws, also from Sunny Life,

they go with it.

So, I was thinking line up the watermelon,

line up some glasses with the straws in them,

and when my guests come in it's gonna look like

I'm the homiest homemaker that ever homemakered.

My next item, I'm actually wearing.

It's this silky pink military shirt.

I love the mix of masculine and feminine.

I love this blush color, my life is this color right now,

and I'm really just excited to wear this with some denim

during the summer.

I think it's gonna be really cute over a swimsuit,

or if I'm going somewhere where I wanna look a little fancy

but still be breezy.

I think it's good.

And let's finish off with some jewelry.

First of all, hoop earrings are coming back in,

which I'm kind of excited for 'cause I missed it

the first time around.

So, to ease into the trend,

I picked up these House of Harlow.

I think they're technically door knocker earrings,

but they have a hoop, so I'm gonna count it.

I think they're so pretty.

I love the hammered metal and the stone detail.

This is a nice way for me to dip my toe

into the hoop earring arena,

but I saw a bunch more when I was shopping at The Rack,

so whenever I'm ready to go a little farther

into the hoop earring category,

I'm gonna go pick up some more.

But for now, these are amazing, and I really love them.

My final item is this delicate layered necklace situation.

I love the turquoise, I love the gold,

I love that it has this festival feel

while being very minimal.

I think that's very modern, and it's just really pretty.

I'm excited to wear this basically constantly this year.

And that's it for my summer essentials haul.

I hope you enjoyed it.

I'm going right over there.

This is a food mart/gas station on Ohio State's campus.

It's kind of nippy out here today.

Yes indeed!

((Phone)) Yeah, strange. Very strange. Yep.

((Phone)) I don't know why it's like that sometimes.Uh huh. I don't know.

I'm gonna get some flaming hots.Yep.

((Phone)) About 10 or 15 minutes or something like that.

Hi.

((Phone)) Yea, give me 10 or 15 minutes. I'm getting a few bags of chips.Huh?Nah, just two. OK.

How much?

$2.18. OK. Swipe your card here. You want credit or debit?

Slow today?

Yea.

They have something going on today.

Oh yea?

Where's my buddy? I had a friend, but he probably doesn't work here anymore.

Guy from Senegal.

From where?

He was from Senegal. African guy.

Dunno..

That was like 5 months ago..

Yea, he was from Senegal, when I came in here at that time, but that was a long time ago.

It's not 5 months. It's more than that..

Oh, probably. It's been a while.

Where're you guys from?

Me?

Yea.

I'm from Morrocco.

Morrocco?

And you?

I'm from Jordan

((Arabic)) How are you?

((Arabic)) I'm good, thanks to god.

((Arabic)) I study Arabic as well, but...

it's been a while..

((Arabic)) But I think my Arabic is strange..

I don't know, it's been a while.

What do you want to say?

3jib is like ''Strange'' isn't it?

((Arabic))What's your name?

Itha

((Arabic)) My name is Moses. Nice to meet you.

((Arabic)) OK..What's your name?

((Arabic)) Very beautiful.

((Arabic)) Where did you learn Arabic?

((Arabic)) At home

((Arabic)) At home?

((Arabic)) Yes

((Arabic)) How did you learn at home?

((Arabic))Because,I have many books and I have a friend that speaks Arabic also..so...

((Arabic)) So I speak it a bit.

((Arabic)) A little bit, eh

((Arabic)) You speak Fusha

((Arabic)) Yep

We speak a dialect, but you speak Fusha.

((Arabic)) Egyptian Arabic?

If I talk to you in our dialect, you won't understand

Like, I'm talking to you in Fusha. If I talk to you in our dialect, you won't understand.

This dialect is mixed with French. You're not going to understand..

((Arabic)) You won't understand

((Arabic)) That's right.But, god willing.....man...

What do you want to say?

What is it? Say it in English

Nah, I know how to say it, I just...Oh

((Arabic)) I will....

You want to go somewhere?

((Arabic)) I want to go to Egypt..

((Arabic)) You want to go to Egypt?

((Arabic)) God willing..

When you go to Egypt and come back, they're going to stop you at the airport and ask why you went to Egypt.

((Arabic)) Why?

That's the problem now.

If you go to Egypt, when you come back, they'll stop you at the customs and ask a lot of questions.

Even if you go there to just have fun, they will stop you.

That's what they're doing with everyone now.

What is it?

I have a gas card from CFN. I'm going to my dad's funeral. And I need to use my gas card.

My truck got stolen here in Ohio.I had to pay for that on a credit card

OK

OK, I'll bring it in.I need to fill up my truck.

OK, bring it in and we'll see how much you want to fill it.

OK. Thank you.

Alright.

((French)) You speak French, too?

((French)) Yes, of course.

((French)) Very good!

((French)) Very good?

Yea

((French)) I'm in the mood to practice it with you now.

((French)) No problem.

Anytime you want

((French)) Yes, yes.

French is our second language.

((French)) Really?

How much do you want, man?

I want to fill it up.

$60.00

OK, we'll do that for you

Which state is it from?

Washington

OK, go ahead.

This card is not allowed

Yea,it doesn't take these cards. I knew it didn't.

Hold on! Where's a flying J.R. jackpot?

No, flying jr pilot

Just relax!

I am.

Flying J.R. Pilot?

Come here!

God, she just freaks out, man.

A trip from hell, you know what I mean? We got four dogs.

We came all the way from across the country to go to my dad's funeral. That's her father-in-law.

Oh.

So what do we do about this? Where's a flying J.R. jackpot? We need gas.

Flying J.R. jackpot? I don't know.

I'll give you ten dollars in gas.

Thank you, man. I appreciate it, man.

Oh my god! This is crazy!

I mean, trucks been stolen..I don't like Ohio. Thank you, sir. You're alright, man.

I just gotta get to a flying J.R. jackpot.

You can follow me. I'll fill up your tank.

Nah, that's OK.

Thank you, sir. I'm in the truck out there.

He gave you ten dollars. You can go and pump it.

Holy crap!

Thanks!

Your welcome.

He's driving and he's drinking.

Yea

He can't even drive because he's drunk.

Yea, I smell it.

See, if the police stops him, he'll be in trouble.

Yea

I've never heard of these names he was saying.

((French)) I don't now either.

((French)) He's drunk.

((French)) He drank a lot.

((French)) What is this?

He drank too much.

Oh

((French)) I don't like to drink. I don't do that.

((French)) It's not good.

((French)) It's not good for your health nor your pockets.

You know what I mean?

It's not good for your health nor your pockets.

((Arabic)) It's not good for your health nor your pockets.

In Arabic.

((French)) Many languages.

((French)) I like to study many languages. French, Arabic,Chinese, Japanese, etc..

Spanish?

((French)) I speak that too.

((Spanish)) You speak Spanish, too?

((Spanish)) I speak Spanish, too.You speak Spanish, too?

((Spanish)) Yes, of course.

((Spanish)) Of course.

Spanish is our third language back in Morocco.

((French)) Oh, really?

We got French, Arabic and Spanish.

((Spanish)) Then we can speak in Spanish now.

You speak German too?

((German)) Just a little bit. I speak a bit of German, but now my German is really bad ((French/Spanish))

((Spanish)) Because I don't study it much these days.

Oh

((Spanish)) I'm studying other languages such as, Japanese, Chinese..etc..

What about Italian?

((Spanish)) I was studying Italian a long time ago, too, but as this city has many people that

((Spanish)) speak Spanish, I've made an effort to learn more Spanish.

((Spanish))It's very important in this city, right?

((French)) That's good.

((Spanish)) Very very important.

((Spanish)) Very important.

((Spanish)) Yes.

((Spanish)) But a long time ago,I didn't like it that much.

((Spanish)) Because to me the most interesting are Asian languages.

Oh,ok.

((Spanish)) But it's important to study more Spanish...so...

((Spanish)) Wow, I didn't know that they spoke Spanish in Morocco as well. I didn't know that.

Yep.

In Morocco..

((Spanish)) I want you to speak in Spanish right now. Don't speak English.

((Spanish)) In my country we study Arabic and French in primary school.

((Spanish)) However, in secondary school, we have other languages. There's, if you want, Spanish..

((Spanish)) English, German and Italian..

Oh

((Spanish)) Well then..

((Spanish)) Then there are more languages in the university.

((Spanish)) Wow, and can you speak as well?

No, he doesn't speak

((Spanish)) Just English and Arabic

Oh

((Spanish)) I see.

He's from Jordan. I'm from Morocco.

((Spanish)) Oh, I see. He already told me...lol

((Spanish)) That's good.

((Spanish)) Well then, you can teach him Spanish.

((Spanish)) Yea, but not enough time here. Will need the time..

((Spanish)) But he works here with you..

((Spanish)) Yes, but I only work here here 3-4 hours.I work over on Hamilton RD.

((Spanish)) Oh, I see.

((Spanish)) There are many Spanish people over there. Many friends over there.

((Spanish)) Of course. Especially here in the U.S. there are many Mexicans.

((Spanish)) I lived in New York for 17 years?

((Spanish)) That's good.

Yea..

((Spanish)) It's important to practice language as much as possible.

In New York there's a lot of them.Everywhere you go, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Salvadorians,Nicaruaga..all of them..

((Spanish)) The most are Puerto Ricans

Do you know what Boricua means? Puerto Ricans

((Spanish)) I didn't know

Puerto Ricans in Spanishm they call them Boricua.

''Boricua'' ((Spanish)) Thanks a lot.

Yea. Dominicans, they call them Dominicanos.

((Spanish)) Yes, I know that one.

Puerto Rican, you don't say ''I'm Puerto Rican. You say I'm Boricua''

((Spanish)) Boricua. ''I'm Puerto Rican''

Yea

((Spanish)) This is a new word for me. Thanks a lot.

((Spanish)) Actually, I must say that the reason I've come here is to practice langages with you guys.

((Spanish)) A long time ago as I've said,There was a guy from Africa. Moreover, he spoke Wolof, French and other languages so..

((Spanish)) At that time, I practiced a lot with him.

Oh, OK

I was telling him, this is the reason why I've come here. I cam here to practice languages

Where are you from originally?

((Spanish)) I'm American.

Where? I know you're American, but where? Which city/state? Are you from Ohio?

((Spanish)) I've here in Columbus for 10 years already.

((Spanish)) My city is Akron

Oh, you're from Akron, Ohio?

((Spanish)) Yes

Oh, so you're from Ohio State then

((Spanish)) Yes

((Spanish)) So now I live here. I have a family..

((Spanish))Are you studying at the University?

((Spanish)) Not now

oh,OK

((Spanish)) Before...

((Spanish)) That's good.

((Spanish)) I'm already married.

((French)) Married?

((French)) Yes. I'm married already.

((French)) Do you have any children?

Huh?

((French)) Do you have any children?

((French)) Oh of course!Two kids.

((Spanish)) They're twins.

((French)) Two girls. That means girls. You got boys or girls?

((Spanish)) Girls

Girls

((Spanish)) But..

((French)) They're girls?

((Spanish)) Twins

((French)) They're twins

((Spanish)) Jumeaux is twins?

Yes, in French.

It's the same thing it's just the pronunciation. In Spanish they say ''Gemelas''

Because the ''G'' they call it ''kheer'' in Spanish, right? French is ''Jumeaux''

It's just a little different.

If you speak French, it'svery easy to learn Spanish quickly.

((French)) Really?

Because they are the same.

((Spanish)) Almost the same.

Yea, the same. The same words. But it's just mixed.

You know. Spanish words are like French words. In Italian too.

It's the same with a slight difference.

When you speak French, you learn Spanish quickly.

Less than three months, you will fly in Spanish.

((Spanish)) I agree.

Yep.

But if you speak Spanish and want to speak French then it's very hard.

((Spanish)) It's very different

Yea, it's very hard. Especially with the pronunciation. But if you speak French, then you get Spanish quick and easy.

((Spanish)) I see.

That's why,the people in my country that's?? Because they are close to Spain.

All of them since they were young, they speak Spanish.

Then when they go to school they learn Spanish and French.

((Spanish)) I see.

Yea, so that's why in the South, everyone speaks French.

((Spanish)) So you speak German fluently?

((Spanish)) A little bit.

I used to, but I forgot most of it. Because I lived in Germany for two years.

Oh

I used to speak it fluently.I forgot. I didn't practice so I lost it.

I still understand it, anything you say

((German)) Practice, practice..

Yea, and I lost a lot of it.

((Spanish)) As you know, language is a living thing.

Yea

((Spanish)) When you begin learning a language, it's necessary to practice it as much as possible.

((Spanish)) Normally on the weekends,I like to practice like this..

When you speak Spanish, you speak it with Spain.

((Spanish))Castillian Spanish

Because when you go to Spain, when you speak..

((Spanish)) I want you to speak in Spanish

((Spanish)) OK, when you go to Spain, they speak with the Spanish accent?

((Spanish)) This is the first time I've heard this word.

''Spain people''

Do you know what Gayo is in Spanish?

((Spanish)) I don't know. What is it?

It's a rooster. You know rooster?

((Spanish)) Yes

And gayena is a chicken

Oh

the female of the rooster is a chicken, right?

Uh huh

So Spain, we call them gayegos because they talk like a rooster.

When you go to Spain, even if you speak Spanish from here like Mexico or anywhere in South America

they talk very fast. And they use the tongue.

The tongue, yes.

When they talk to you, they talk very fast.

((Spanish)) Very fast.

((Spanish)) I can't understand what they're saying.

Because I've been to Spain many times since it's close to my country.

First time I went there, I went to France because I have brothers and sisters in Europe

And a lot of cousins you know.So I went to France to see my brother and went to Germany. I bought a car from Germany.

It was a Mercedes? They have Mercedes over there for very cheap in Germany.

Oh

I was going to Morrocco, we went to..

((Spanish)) When we were in Luandania?? They were speaking so fast.

((Spanish)) During that time, could you understand what they were saying?

((Spanish)) Yes, now I can. But the first time I went there, it was just too fast. They would ask me...

Oh..

((Spanish)) Since I lived in New York....

Oh

((Spanish)) They would speak to me and then say that they wanted to speak English.

((Spanish)) I told them that I couldn't speak English.

((Arabic)) I understand.

((Arabic)) You understand?

((Spanish)) Even in Spain, if they speak other languages, they don't want to speak them. Just Spanish.

((Spanish)) Why?

Because they say that they like their language.

Ah

They don't care, they say you came to our country so you gotta learn our language.

((Spanish)) That correct. I agree.If...

((Spanish)) I don't want to go to another country if I can't speak the language.

When you go to Spain and you ask them for something, you tell them like..

((Spanish)) Do you speak English?

They'll say, no.

((Spanish)) I don't know, I don't know..

Oh, with an S?

They call it ''no the''

Yea

Oh..

When you talk to them, they don't wantto show you nothing..

They're very racist.

((Spanish)) Racist?

Yea, Spain they like their language. They say, you came to Spain, so you gotta learn our language.

I don't care, you gotta learn our language.

Oh

If you talk to them in their language, Spanish, then they will be very happy.

Especially when you're a foreigner and you want to go there and talk to them they'll show you whatever you want.

but if you don't speak Spanish then they won't..

((Spanish)) But I think that it should be like this, no?

((Spanish)) Well, no, but you gotta help the people, no?

You gotta help people. If you go their as a tourist, you gotta help them

Oh, I see.

They say no, they don't care.

((Spanish)) ''It's not my problema if you can't speak Spanish''

and if you don't speak Spanish, anywhere you go, restaurant, hotel, they're thieves.

They'll steal money from you. They're not honest.

If they know you don't know the language and the money, they'll rip you off.

((Spanish)) That's a problem

Yea

((Spanish)) Theives

((Spanish) Well then, I still have plans to go to other places to practice languages

OK

((Spanish)) Now I'm going to a Mexican restaurant.

When Mexicans talk to you, they call you guey. Do you know what a guey is?

((Spanish)) What's up,man ''Bull''

Oh yea! I know.

You know what guey is?

((Spanish)) I know.

What is it?

It's like ''Dude'' or ''Man''

Yea, but what is it? What does it mean?

((Spanish)) It's like, man?

No..

Like when you go to New York, they say ''What's up, dog?''

Oh

Now dog is a dog, it's an animal. What is guey? It's an animal.

Guey is....Which animal is it?

You know what ''la baka'' is?

Oh, baka is like a sheep or goat?

Baka is a cow

a cow, yea

now, what's the male of the cow?

the male of the cow is a guey

They say,''what's up, bull?''

like Chicago bulls?

((Spanish)) Yea, I know

The bull is a guey. Like in New York how they say ''What's up, dogg?'' They call each other ''guey''

((Spanish)) What's up, bull?

((Spanish)) How do you say that in Arabic?

Oh now, we don't have that in Arabic.

Like when you go to New York, they call you ''What up, dog?''

You can't say to people in Arabic''What's up, Dog''

((Arabic)) Isn't it?

Like if you go up to a girl and say ''What's up, bitch'' you can't do that.

((Arabic)) Bitch?

You can't do that in Arabic language.

You can't call somebody a dog.

((Arabic)) Is she Arab?

You can't say ''what up, dog'' to someone in Arabic.

((Spanish)) Alrighty, I'm going to leave now. Nice to meet you.

OK, when you go over to the Mexican restaurant say to them ''What's up, bull?''

((Spanish)) What's up, bull? OK, take care.

((Spanish)) OK, see you again.

((Arabic)) See you later.

((Arabic)) See you later.

((PHONE)) Yea, I don't know. It's like a different place.

Hi

Hello.

Hi.

I just saw this place and thought it was interesting. I saw the Korean.

Yea.

So you guys sell antiques?

No, I'm selling Korean cosmetics.

Oh, Korean cosmetics.

Mhm

Oh, ok. How long has this place been here for?

Seven years.

Seven?

Umhm

So, you're from Korea?

Umhm. I'm Korean.

((Korean)) Are you well today?

((Korean)) Oh, yea..Hello!

((Korean))Hello! I want to practice Korean since I'm studying it now.

((Korean)) What's your name?

((Korean)) My name is Moses. Moses or ''Mouse''. Nickname. It's ny nickname.

((Korean))Your Korean is good.

((Korean)) Well, I can't precisely say that I'm good, but I know a bit..

((Korean)) Oh, no no no...it's good.

((Korean)) Thanks.

((Korean)) Your pronunciation is good.

((Korean)) Oh really?

Yea

((Korean)) You speak with politeness

((Korean)) Politeness?

Yea

((Korean)) It's better to learn the polite language

((Korean)) Yes

((Korean)) Well, right now I can't use the impolite talk.

((Korean)) That's right. You use that with your friends.

((Korean)) Yes, yes..

((Korean)) I can use less polite talk with someone who's younger than I. You understand what I mean?

I can use that speech with someone younger than me.

((Korean)) Yes, I understand.

I'm older than you, therefore you would use more polite speech.

((Korean))Yes. Great job!

((Korean)) Where did you learn from?

((Korean)) I'm self-taught.

((Korean)) Self-taught? Oh, good good!Where did you learn from? Youtube or?

((Korean)) I have many books at home and I can also use the computer.

oh. Good job.

((Korean)) Very good.

There's a Korean class at the Korean church every Saturday.

((Korean)) I see. Before a friend of mine told me that there's a Church

Every Saturday there's a Korean class. At the biggest Korean Church, there's a very good Korean class.

So you can go. They're not charging.

((Korean)) Oh really?

It's free

((Korean)) It's free?

((Korean)) Yes, it's free.

((Korean)) I don't have that much time now so I can't learn Korean in that way.

((Korean)) Good

((Korean)) So I will continue like this.

((Korean)) Right, there're so many Korean stores

((Korean)) I see

There's Mina restaurant over there, then the Bamboo cafe. Their owner is Korean, too.

And over there the bakery, next door to the Microcenter, there's a Korean place

((Korean)) Oh yes, I've been there before with my wife.

((Korean)) The owner there is Korean

((Korean)) I see. I've been there in the past.

((Korean)) Well, a long time ago I went there with my wife.

((Korean)) Oh, you know Cheepsaram ''Wife'' as well? Too good...good job.

((Korean)) You're being too nice.

((Korean)) No..

My kids were born here. You speak better than them.

((Korean)) Really? You must be joking..

((Korean)) No, I'm not.

((Korean)) They didn't learn Korean..

When they went to College they learned because at that time, they knew that I'm Korean.

But now they think they're Americans. They only speak English. You are very good.

((Korean)) They can't speak anything outside of English?

((Korean)) Just English...They speak Korean, too, but....

They speak Korean too, but, you're better than them

((Korean)) You must be kidding..

((Korean)) Now, I'm not.

You're doing a good job.

((Korean)) It's just because I think it would be great if I could speak like the Koreans.

((Korean)) I want to speak like a Korean, so lately I've been working on it deligintly.

OK, good job. If you want, are you going to Church?

((Korean)) No, but a long time ago when I was still a young child, I always went to church.

If you want to go to the Korean Church, you can so that you can make a lot of Korean friends there.

((Korean)) OK. Which Church?

Snow Polaris

((Korean)) I haven't heard of it before.

((Korean)) You haven't heard of it before?

Oh here, I'm going to give it to you.

((Korean)) OK.

There's a lot of Americans there, too.

Oh

((Korean)) Now I have kids so,I'm always at home.

((Korean)) This place is open everyday?

I just close on Sunday.

Sunday?

10am-7pm and closed on Sundays

((Korean)) Oh, I see

Our Church name, number. Sunday service is 10am.If you want to come, come at 10:30.

there's a lot of Korean people. Maybe around the same age as you. So you can make Korean friends.

((Korean)) I can make many friends?

((Korean)) Yea, it's better to learn Korean when you make Korean friends.

((Korean)) You're going to eat something?

We have a bible group on Sunday. Everyone will eat together

So, she said that I didn't have to bring anything

((Korean)) Eating together?

Yea. So, if you join that Church, they create small groups.

and then you can enjoy Korean food.

wow

((Korean)) Seems interesting

and at the services we give out Korean food there. So everybody eats lunch there

Oh, OK.

((Korean)) Your welcomed to come

((Korean)) Thank you

What's your name?

Moses

Oh, Moses. I'm sorry.

You know, Moses in the Bible.

Oh, yea. Here's my name.

((Korean)) Nice to meet you!

((Korean)) Nice to meet you!

((Korean)) I like studying languages

((Korean)) Yea, that's good.

And I think you have a language talent.

((Korean)) The Korean language is difficult.

((Korean)) Yes, it is.

((Korean)) It is really difficult

((Korean)) I feel the same way.

((Korean)) There are so many things in the language..

((Korean)) Different levels of politeness, etc..

Many words that are similar as well..

and many meanings..

you have talent

((Korean)) But, despite it being that way, if you work hard everyday, you will be successfull.

((Korean)) That's right!So good.

You're speaking so good.

((Korean)) I need more practice.

((Korean)) Your pronunciation is good.

((Korean)) So, which part of Korea are you from?

South Korea

Most of the Koreans living in America, at least 99% are from South Korea.

((Korean)) Seoul or?

I'm from Seoul

Oh

Close to Seoul. Not exactly in Seoul.

Oh, ok

I was working in Seoul

((Korean)) I want to go to Korea in the future.

((Korean)) I've already been to Taiwan and Japan.

((Korean)) Since my wife is from Taiwan, we went there together to see the family.

((Korean)) Well, then..nice to meet you.

((Korean)) Come again..

((Korean)) Perhaps in the future when I want to practice Korean, I'll come here or go to the Church..

((Korean)) You're welcomed. You can make a lot of Korean friends there.

((Korean)) I would like that..

This isn't so formal

It's OK

((Korean)) Alrighty then..

((Korean)) Come again

((Cantonese)) See you next time!

Have you ever tried any other languages?

Um, no I just know Engliah mostly

how about you?

Yea, I've tried to study some other languages

Oh, that's cool

Are you fluent in any of those languages?

Mhmm

Which ones?

Mandarin, Cantonese

You spent time in Asia?

Nah, I started learning Mandarin when I was 18.And then I picked up some other ones like Japanese and Korean..

and just been doing it since then.

You're from Taiwan?

I was born in Taiwan

((Mandarin)) You speak Mandarin?

((Mandarin)) Tainan

((Mandarin)) My wife is from Chia yi

He's been to Taiwan

((Mandarin)) I've already been to Taiwan..how many times..should be 3 times

((Mandarin)) To visit the family and take the girls to see them

((Mandarin)) How many children do you have?

((Mandarin)) Two

((Mandarin)) They're both twins

Oh yea?

((Mandarin)) Do you have any pictures?

((Mandarin))Well, I think I have one in my phone..let me see..

He's looking for a picture

((Mandarin)) My wife always uses this phone to take pictures

((Mandarin)) How old are they?

((Mandarin)) They're 16 months

They're 16 months

Congratulations

((Mandarin)) Thanks

They're cute

Do you speak Mandarin at home?

((Mandarin)) Well, my wife..

Oh, I'm sorry LOL

I speak with them in English, but my wife speaks with them in Cantonese..oh, not Cantonese. Mandarin and Taiwanese

Nice

They're cute

She speaks both.

((Mandarin)) Thanks

They're picking up some other languages too, because they hear..My wife she can speak Japanese fairly well and some Korean so she watches a lot of dramas

like Korean dramas, Japanese dramas...

so yea, there're a lot of languages they're exposed to now

That's good

So..it's very important for them to learn because, like her family? They can't speak English at all

right

the communication is very important so..

have you brought them back to Taiwan yet?

((Mandarin)) Actually, we went back last year in December to see the family

They're identical, right?

Yea, but...

((Mandarin)) I'm with them everytime most of the time so they don't really look that much alike to me

That will be $12.50, please. And he will be out shortly.

Oh, OK

((Vietnamese)) Thanks.

Thank you

((Mandarin)) Yea, I'm with them everyday so they don't look that much alike

I'm with them everyday so they don't look that identical to me

((Vietnamese)) Are you Vietnamese?

((Vietnamese)) Yes, I'm Vietnamese. I'm from Saigon

Born in Saigon

((Vietnamese)) Oh really?

Wow, man you speak with a Southern accent. You must have a girlfriend or something

((Vietnamese)) I'm already married, but my wife is Chinese

((Vietnamese)) Vietnamese?

No

((Vietnamese)) My wife is Chinese

((Vietnamese)) Chinese?

and you speak Vietnamese? Wow

((Vietnamese))Just a little bit though..

You're doing good, but you have a Southern accent

((Vietnamese)) No, Northern accent

((Vietnamese)) Northern accent?

Well, you're doing good!

No, you have a Southern accent

So have you ever lived in Vietnam?

((Vietnamese)) Not yet

((Vietnamese)) Not yet?

Wow, you're doing good for not having lived in Vietnam

((Vietnamese)) I want to go to Vietnam in order to understand this country

Yea!

Yea, you've been to the wrong places, man like Laotian, Cambodian etc ((Restaurants))

Taste the food here and you will see the big difference

I was born in Saigon, but you have to have-??-from the North

((Vietnamese)) You speak any other languages?

I speak with a Northern accent because mom and dad were originally from the North.

My mom's from the South.

Same with her mom. Her grandfather is Northern and her grandmother is Southern

((Vietnamese)) Do you speak Chinese?

No, no

((Vietnamese)) Vietnamese and English...

((Vietnamese)) French

((Vietnamese)) French?

Yea

((French)) French?

I was educated in the French system.

((French)) You speak French, too?

((French)) Why, yes..

Wow

((French)) You speak French?

((French)) Your accent is very good

((French)) Not good yet,but..

((French)) Your accent

Most people speak French with an American accent, but..

((French)) I would like to learn because I love learning languages. I think that languages are very good

((French)) Languages are apart of the culture

When you learn the language and culture, it's beautiful. And the food..beautiful

((French)) Of course

When you go there you say ''Indosheen'' not ''Indoshine'' you know French

If you ask them if they have lamb pho, they'll jump up and down. That's not Vietnamese. That Laotian

They haven't been to Vietnam lately. Vietnam now has a lot of lamb. If you know the history of Vietnam

I came here in 75

((French)) Interesting.

((French)) I want to come here with my wife and kids

((French))You have children? two?

((French)) Two

Very interesting

Yea, we're very different, kind of Vietnamese, you know, so..

You will see. Most Vietnamese restaurants around here are Laotian, Chinese, Korean.

back here is Cambodian so..oh yea..You'll taste a big difference. Taste it then you will see.

((French)) OK

So..what side of town you live on?

Easton

Easton? Yea, you will see the difference. Indochine is not even Vietnamese. The guy is Laotian.

So his food is very sweet, very...you know

((Vietnamese)) Really

Yea, so..we're very different here.

((Vietnamese)) What's your name?

((Vietnamese)) My name is Thang

And yours?

((Vietnamese)) My name is mouse

((Vietnamese)) Mouse?

((Vietnamese)) My nickname..

((Vietnamese)) Nickname?

((French)) Mouse

Oh mouse, yea

((Vietnamese)) Just a nickname

OK, then you must have many Vietnamese friends

((Vietnamese)) No, I don't have many

((Vietnamese)) No friends?

So, where did you learn the language?

((Vietnamese)) I'm learning and home, because I have many books

Oh

Very interesting

((Vietnamese)) I can use the computer...to speak in order to understand about this country

OK

Very interesting. Next is the food. After the language.

((Vietnamese)) Food? ''To eat food''

((Vietnamese)) Food

No Thuc an means food, but Thuc pham means ((French)) ''Food''

I don't make Pho like everybody else

So, you will see

((French)) Nice to meet you!

((French)) Nice to meet you!

((French)) See you again next time..mouse..

Nice to meet you

((Mandarin)) Nice to meet you

Oh she's Chinese. You're from Hong Kong?

No, I was born in Taiwan

Oh, born in Taiwan so she's Taiwanese. So you speak Mandarin, isn't it?

Yea

So you speak Mandarin too?

Oh, very talented. For self-taught, that's very good, man

((French)) Your French is very good. Your accent.

Most Americans, when they speak French..it's...

((French)) Very bad?

((French)) Very bad

So, your accent is OK. The first thing you want to find out is the accent.

The rest you don't expect much because..that's a foreign language

Accent is very important, especially French, man

He's funny lol

When you go to France,Paris, when you speak French to them, they don't want to talk to you if you have an accent

The French, they're very very....

So, you're not interested in Chinese?

Oh yea, I'm interested. It's finding the time

The time

I'll get there eventually

You know, you should try..I don't know if you've heard of it or not..

have you ever heard of Chinesepod?

No

It's really..If you go to Chinesepod.com, they have a lot of good content that you can use

Like, I'll show you, for example...

this is just MP3

See they have the uh..

English and the Chinese

This is more advance, but they have the beginner stuff as well for you

That's cool. Yea, I'll check that out

and it's easy because, if you're busy, all you would need to do is listen to it and you'll pick it up quickly

and then she can speak some to you..

that would be good. I would like that because her parents speak some English, but..

Yea, I know...

have you been over there?

Yea, I've been over there twice ''Actually three times''

It's fun isn't it

Yea, I love it there. I can see myself living there

When we go over there, they speak more Taiwanese than Mandarin

Like at home, so when we I first went there, of course they spoke Mandarin with me

but when you're sitting around listening to everyone speak, it's all Taiwanese

right, right

so it's like ooh...

so I started taking Taiwanese more serious. I'm not as good with it as I am with Cantonese or Mandarin

but, I'm picking up a lot

I have some friends who're learning Mandarin, because there's a bible study that they're having

because there're so many Mandarin speaking people in the area

Oh yea So they learn and help out during bible study

yea, most definitely

it's cool

so, like I said, if you're busy, all you would need to do is listen to it..

when you listen to it...it's just like a child

right

when we were children, we just listened to the language, then eventually piece things together

uhhuh

next thing you know, you're putting sentences together than you're like ''wait, how did this happen?''

what's your name?

Dan

Moses. Or my Chinese name is ''Mouse''

well..

Nice to meet you

I'm Helen

Nice to meet you

Nice to meet you. You guys take care.

You have a good one

you too, take care

Thank you!

Thanks. Bye.

Look at that Malaysian and Singapore food

((Phone)) Yea, we'll see. It's pretty interesting to know.

((Phone)) Yea. Huh? Oh, I don't know yet. I'm going to look at the menu first.

((Phone)) Huh? Oh, I don't know. This is actually my first time. Give me about 10 or 15 minutes then I'll be back there.

((Phone)) I'm going to take some time and look at the menu. Alright. Alright, bye.

What would you recommend? What's the best?

All of these pictures are our good stuff

So everything's good?

Yep

OK. Let's see. I'll try...

If this your first time, you can try our specialty

Is it spicy?

Do you like spicy?

Yea

I can make it spicy. It's this one.

oh, ok

it's $7.50

OK, let's go with that one

It comes with BBQ pork, Chinese sausage and some vegetables in it

is it possible to just get chicken?

Yes

Chicken. No pork, right?

Yea

It will be $7.50. So..we have a 75 cents charge?

That's fine

that will be $7.75

OK

thanks

would you like a credit card receipt?

No, that's fine.

OK

OK, thank you. It will be ready in 10 minutes

OK. I'll hang out.

OK

I'm about to level up

I didn't even know this place was here. I was doing some searching for like different restaurants.

I think so, yep.

Oh

So, this is the only one in Columbus, I think

Oh,OK.

So, you're from Singapore?

Yea, the chef and everybody else is from Malaysia

I speak Cantonese..

Oh

((Cantonese)) I speak Cantonese, too

((Cantonese)) You speak Cantonese?

((Cantonese)) So, I can practice my Cantonese with you

Oh, OK

((Cantonese)) If you want, we can chat

((Cantonese)) So you lived in Malaysia or something?

((Cantonese)) No, I'm just living here and an American who really likes to learn other languages

((Cantonese)) How many languages can you speak?

((Cantonese)) Too many lol.

((Cantonese)) Perhaps around 50..but all of the languages I'm learning...how do you say it..

((Cantonese))Not very fluent

((Cantonese)) Do you know how to speak Mandarin?

((Cantonese)) Yes, I can

((Cantonese)) I can speak both Mandarin and Cantonese

((Cantonese)) In fact, my Mandarin may be better than my Cantonese because I know more words

((Mandarin)) I can also speak Mandarin

((Mandarin)) I can speak it too. There aren't that many restaurants in this city that have many Cantonese speakers

((Mandarin)) That's correct

((Mandarin)) There are very few Cantonese people

((Mandarin)) There are mostly people who are from Fuzhou living here. Opened up Fuzhou restaurants..

((Mandarin)) Also many Chinese students. Therefore, there're more Mandarin speakers

((Cantonese)) That's right.There are more..

((Cantonese)) So this is a very special occassion because I can speak Cantonese

((Cantonese)) Actually, my wife is from Taiwan so, of course when I'm at home I can practice Mandarin with her

((Cantonese)) But Cantonese, she doesn't know how to speak it

((Cantonese)) Your Cantonese is very good

((Cantonese)) Really?

((Cantonese)) Yes,I understand you well

((Cantonese)) You understand..

((Cantonese)) Have you ever eaten that before?

((Cantonese)) No, I haven't

((Cantonese)) This is a famous name in Singapore

((Cantonese)) Really?

((Cantonese)) Yes

((Cantonese)) Are there any others that're very delicious?

((Cantonese)) This is the most delicious?

((Cantonese)) This is quite good. Next time you gotta try this one..and this one..

((Cantonese)) Maybe I'll try this one

((Cantonese)) This one's not bad

((Cantonese)) Perhaps next time, I'll come with my wife and try it

((Cantonese)) At that time, we can try this one and maybe some other things..

OK

((Cantonese)) Hello, hello

((Cantonese)) Hello

((Cantonese)) I'm learning Cantonese

((Cantonese)) You're learning Cantonese?

((Cantonese)) Yes, yes

((Cantonese)) How are you guys today?

Ok, ok. Do you have a camera?

((Cantonese)) No, this is my phone

Oh, I thought you had a camera

((Cantonese)) So where are you from?

((Cantonese)) I'm fron Canton

((Cantonese)) What's your name?

((Cantonese)) What's my name?

((Cantonese)) Who taught you? School?

((Cantonese)) So, I think this is a special occassion..

((Cantonese)) You're trying to pick up Hong Kong girls, eh?

lololol

((Cantonese)) She speaks too?

((Cantonese)) No, she speaks Mandarin

((Cantonese)) Mandarin?

((Cantonese)) Yes

((Mandarin)) I also speak Mandarin

((Mandarin)) Oh you speak Mandarin, too?

((Mandarin)) Yes, I can speak Mandarin and Cantonese

((Mandarin)) How long have you studied it for?

((Mandarin)) I've studied Mandarin already for a long time. Maybe 10 years..

((Mandarin)) Which one do you speak better, Cantonese or Mandarin?

((Cantonese)) Well, this is tough to say..

((Cantonese)) Chopsticks? **I said it in Japanese by mistake** lol

Cohabitate or Wait? - Duration: 5:36.

Moving in with your significant other is an important decision and should not be taken lightly.

Are there repercussions to living together before exchanging wedding vows?

Should you cohabitate or wait?

In today's world some question the need for marriage and choose to simply cohabitate for

various reasons.

They may even refer to traditional marriage as impractical!

It is not uncommon to hear of young couples wanting to "make sure" that they "suit each

other" before they make the commitment to marriage, like

a "tryout" of sorts, a kind of "test run" of their relationship

by cohabitating but with no "real strings attached."

And on the surface, to many this sounds practical and makes a whole lot of sense, but does it?

Some equate moving in together to a major purchase, a 30 day money back guarantee type

of thinking, if it doesn't work return it to the store

and get your money back - or in the case of a couple - each gets

their "life back" - "but we can still remain friends..."

Glenn T. Stanton the director for Family Formation Studies for Focus on the Family, in his book

"The Ring Makes All the Difference" provides a very

interesting insight on this subject comparing marriage to

cohabitation.

Mr. Stanton, in his referencing of James Q Wilson's research, states:

"Scholars increasingly regard cohabitation as a substitute to being single, not an alternative

to marriage."

Stanton goes on to say: "Other studies confirm that cohabitation is

closer to singleness than to marriage in terms of contributing

to well-being outcomes.

The key factor is not just that there are two but how the two are joined."

But what was the potential result for many of those couples who eventually do marry after

cohabitating?

Stanton writes: "..... data indicates that people with cohabiting experience who marry

have a 50 to 80 percent higher likelihood of divorcing than

married couples who never cohabited."

Other research supports this claim.

In the "Journal of Marriage and Family" studies have consistently

shown that: "marriages preceded by cohabitation can face up to a 65% increase in the likelihood

of divorce."

This percentage is staggering and yet doesn't include those who move in together and then

decide to de-couple without ever even entering into

an official marriage.

In a cohabitation relationship there is the supposed benefit that each person is more

free to leave when they want, than if they were married.

Referencing a post by Enrich Canada dated June 26th on the Cohabitate or Wait debate,

I quote: "Because the benefit of cohabiting is the

ability to leave easily, couples in this situation rarely approach

relational issues seriously - treating what may be a severe, ongoing issue with little

more than emotional band-aids.

And as numerous studies have shown, it's not large problems that destroy long-

term relationships, but the aggregation of several small issues"

But what about the marriage relationship with no prior cohabitation?

Are there measured benefits?

Marriage, because of the formalized commitment, provides an environment to focus not only

on your needs but on the needs of the other.

As Stanton writes in referencing the book "Grandma Was Right" by Bruce Wydick -- "it

appears to be commitment rather than mere togetherness that

lays the foundation for long-term cooperation and

happiness in family relationships."

In another article titled - "Does Marriage Help You Live Longer?"

Melaina Juntii writes: "Science points to a very easy way to be happier, have less stress,

reduce your risk of dying from cancer and heart disease, and

potentially live longer: Simply get married."

The bottom line: "Marriage is both a cause and a consequence of good health."

Just being married however does not guarantee happiness - it takes work, giving of one's

self, patience, kindness, consistent effort and firm commitment

where both husband and wife, male and female are in

the relationship giving 100% and not simply meeting in the middle with a 50/50 commitment.

With that kind of commitment and focus marriage is not seen as an experiment or trial run

as cohabitation tends to be, but a lifelong commitment

and experience which results in the unifying of

husband and wife together, to become as one with many measured benefits.

With the subject of marriage versus cohabitation becoming the target of countless studies by

psychologists and sociologists, it is interesting to note that the results of many of these

studies actually support the morality expressed in the Bible.

So the answer to the question of "Cohabitate-or-Wait" seems to be clear - the institution of marriage

wins.

Matthew Snide - Machines That Run The World - Duration: 0:38.

When people think about college, they think about this giant stack of books

that they have to study from. But with the programs that I'm in, what we have

rather than books, are these giant classrooms with a bunch of trainers.

There's all sorts of different components that are in all these

machines that run the world. And we're trying to figure out how to fix them, how

they work, what they're made of. There's a lot of upcoming jobs such as Bombardier

and Nova Bus, that are looking for these workers that have the training that you

can get straight from Clinton.

1997-2016 F150 Ford Oval Logo Embroidered Sideless Seat Cover w/ Head Rest Review & Install - Duration: 2:11.

what's going on guys Malik's from

American Muscle this is my quick review

and install of the Florida oval logo

embroidered slide with C covers fitting

the 1997 through 2016 f150 so this video

I'm going to break down the construction

and materials of the seat cover as well

as later hitting on the installation

even if we can call it that which right

off the bat I'm going to be giving a

very easy one of the three wrenches on

the difficulty meter you should have

these on your truck in about five to ten

minutes tops now these are going to

appeal to the f-150 owner that's looking

to cover up for worn out seeds to

protect your seeds or just add a little

bit of extra flair to the inside of

their truck without doing a full

interior swap which can run potentially

in the thousands of dollars so in terms

of the construction here guys this is

going to be made up of a very durable

vinyl like material but I got to tell

you it right out of the box this

honestly feels like leather to me now

the Ford logo is embroidered very very

delicately and definitely add the nice

touch so one of the great aspects about

these seed cover's going to be that

they're incredibly easy to clean now in

the event you're to spill something a

little bit stickier side or sort of get

really really dirty we can throw them

weight and washer and dryer and not have

to think twice about it so in terms of

pricing here guys we're going to see

these fall in the twenty to thirty

dollar price range which in my opinion

is a huge plus when looking to protect

your interior as well as making it pop a

little bit more learning in comparison

to some of the other alternatives out

there we're going to see that depending

on the quality brand and materials use

that they can easily pit the scales at

North of about two to three hundred

dollars again here getting a huge bang

for the buck here with this durable

vinyl like appearance that's not only

going to be easy to clean but it is

going to protect your investment

alright guys so in terms of the

installation here even if I can call it

that this is going to run an incredibly

easy one of the three wrenches on the

difficulty meter and you should have

these on your truck in about five to ten

minutes it's going to be absolutely your

guesswork throwing these on and all you

need to do is essentially throw them

over your seat and that's it alright

guys so just to wrap things up here I

really like this option for the f-150

and not only because this is going to

have a leather like appearance and feel

but that it's also going to be

protecting your seats from any kind of

elements or to be bringing in or out so

that's my review for the Ford oval logo

side with seat covers right here at

americanmuscle.com

you

#AskJon: What's one common content mistake you see companies make? - Duration: 1:05.

So we've been talking a lot about this at the Hodges Partnership, because we're

doing a lot of content, at various different levels, for clients. And one of

the things that we see that stops up the content drain, so to speak, is the quest

for perfection. So, I'm not saying that quality and quantity should be at odds.

I'm not saying just pump it out for the sake of pumping it out. But, if you're

trying to be too perfect with your content, odds are that that's going to

lead you to not doing enough content to keep the content train running, in the

way that you want it to. So, good is better than great — obviously, if you can

do great all the time, that's tremendous. But, that's also a very high bar. So, try

not to be as perfect, but also try to keep a certain level of quality going.

And, I think that you will keep, like I said, the content train going in the

right direction.
