Waching daily Jun 15 2017

hey guys! diy father's day gifts, fathers day 2017,father's

day gifts,diy fathers day gifts.

You guys loved my diy mother's day videos and I figured dads need love too so I thought

I would put together a video and show you some really cool and quick and easy diy last

minute gifts for your father.

I don't even mean to make all these gifts for your parents as last minute but it always

ends up happening to me because I'm such a procrastinator!

The one thing I want to mention before we get started is to make sure you subscribe

if you are not already.

And when you click subscribe, make sure you turn my notifications on! then you don't miss

any of my uploads and you get notified every time I post a new video.

that's all I wanted to mention and let's get started.

Alright guys so the first diy gift idea for your dad is one of my all time favorite diys

ever!

It's these really cool diy soda can coasters.

For this diy, you're going to need some ceramic coasters and an assortment of soda cans.

And the best thing about this diy is you can totally recycle whatever soda cans you have

in the house and all you're going to do is just cut out a square.

You need to make sure you're very careful while you're doing this.

But after you do cut them out.

you're just going to glue them onto the coasters.

I tried out all the different types of glue and my favorite was the hot glue so that's

what I recommend you to use.

So the next step is to seal the coasters and I recommend 2 thick coats of mod podge.

And then just let them dry and they are complete and they are so cool and so unique!

I think they are the most amazing diy father's day gifts!

And the best part is that they were super inexpensive and easy to make! gifts, fathers

day gift ideas, fathers day gifts, gifts for dad,diy gifts, gift ideas for dad.

The next diy gift idea is what I'm calling go fish.

And what you'll need for this is a tackle box.

I'm using a chalk label and I'm just writing 'Dad's Tackle Box' on it and then I'm sticking

that right on the front.

gift ideas for dads, diy fathers day, last minute gifts, father's day gift, father's day diy gifts, father's

day diy.

And every tackle box needs bait so I'm using some gummi worms, swedish fish, and other

marine-like candy and I'm just filling the tackle box up with it.

Again, I think this is a really clever diy gift idea for your dad and I think it's something

he's really going to enjoy because who doesn't like candy, am I right?

Gift #3 is one of my all time favorites and it's this diy baseball mason jar.

What you'll need is a mason jar and some white paint and you're going to paint on the outside

of the mason jar.

After you let that dry, you're going to take some red paint and you just want to draw the

lines on the baseball.

And you guys do not need to be artists to do this.

I free handed mine but you could use a marker if you wanted to but I'm just drawing the

lines and making them thicker.

And after doing that, I'm just creating the stitch-like effect.

last minute father's day gifts, father's day gift ideas, diy, father's day gifts diy, father

day gifts, last minute diy father's day gifts, diys, fathers day gifts diy, fathers day.

After you let it dry, you can go ahead and fill it up with anything you want but I recommend

going with baseball game type of snacks like peanuts, cracker jacks, popcorn, those types

of things.

And it's totally optional but you could even add baseball game tickets, that would be so

much fun!

And after your dad finishes his snack, he can reuse the jar for whatever he likes!

And my last diy gift idea for fathers day is this message in a bottle.

Here's what you'll need: a bottle, alphabet beads, a gift tag, and m&m's.

The purpose of this diy gift is kind of like a game so you want to take your beads and

just come up with a message.

I decided to go with 'I'm so glad you are my dad'.

And very simply, you just mix in those beads with some m&m's and that your dad has this

message in a bottle that he has to decode.

He can totally snack on the m&m's while he's decoding the message.

I topped it off with a gift tag that says 'from your favorite kid' because obvi!

And that's it for this diy father's day gift ideas!

I think this diy gift for dad turned out super cool & fun!

So those are all of my DIY gift ideas for your dad and you guys I would totally flip

out if I saw that any of you recreated any of these diy father's day gifts to give to

your dad on father's day 2017!

Please tag me in the photo and send it to me on twitter, instagram, whatever social

media!

I would love to see it!

So this is it for my diy fathers day 2017 gift ideas and I really hope you enjoyed it!

I hope you have an amazing day and an amazing father's day with your dad!

Be sure to give them lots of love because dads deserve it!

And I'll see you guys in my next video.

Bye!

LETTERING LOGO DESIGN | Illustrator Typography Tutorial | Satori Graphics - Duration: 4:20.

we're going to design a lettering logo in Illustrator today which is very

simple and easy to follow the illustrator typography tutorial brought

to you by Satori graphics

what is up people welcome back to satori graphics home of redesign content

if you new here welcome I employed five graphic design videos Monday to Friday

every single week so subscribe to keep updated if you enjoy my content if you

have already subscribed to remember the turn on in notifications so you never

miss an upload we start off with our typography illustrator you can use

custom hand lettering with a tablet or you can use a typeface I'm using

mostarda oh and the link is in the description below for the download

because I need to create the outlines of the lettering and you're probably going

to see a zillion blue anchor points it's completed knowing when you want to edit

your typography for a logo design in Illustrator so head up to the top and

simplify the lettering like so lastly within unpretty to letter so you can

edit and move them individually

go ahead and make all of you head--it are moving the letters and changing

anchor points in the white direct selection tool here's my typography

lettering I just made a few changes once you happy you will need to open up the

appearance window as well as a pathfinder window for the next page of

this illustrator typography tutorial

select all of your letters and then using your no option in the past sign

the window this will now join together all of your letters into one shape in

the appearance window click the arrow in the top right corner and add a new

stroke we then will need to click and drag the stroke below the fill layer and

it will click the fill layer and add the whites as a color option I want to show

you quickly why I'm using the appearance window to add a stroke and not stand the

stroke the top typography lettering is the one we've just made the one below is

some typography where we use the standard stroke in the color palette you

can clearly see the difference even if we go in to add a fill to the bottom

option the stroke will not be as fluid and as appealing visually as the one

above anyway icon with the illustrator typography tutorial you can adjust the

weight of the stroke in different window here once you're happy into effect

stylize and drop shadow

we want to have a 100% opacity and a 0% blur the other settings you can adjust

whatever you think's best for your design I'm quickly going to go through a

second method that will work on color backgrounds or your lettering logo

design I have two text layers on this design the top one is the same as we've

just made or without the drop shadow and the third is black and the stroke is

white then the bottom layer I have the same texture located only with a white

fill and no stroke you can then place in a position and edit the bottom layer

this is the rec selection tool it's letting you have more control with the

shadow than the drop shadow effects that we added before

so did you find my illustrator typography tutorial helpful let me know

in the comment section below and rofl like on your way out subscribe to keep

updated my five graphic design uploads per week and it's the next time there's

only future today peace

How To Get Gum Out Of your Hair

use smooth peanut butter peanut butter is a classic solution and most people

swear by it it works so effectively because it's oil content lubricates the

hair while the natural qualities of the peanuts break down the gum you usually

want 80 grams of fat per 100 grams of peanut butter use a rubber band to

separate the affected hair if possible it's preferable to separate your hair to

keep the mess from spreading a small piece of foil will also work to keep

slippery products from spreading across your head apply peanut butter using a

toothbrush begin at the top of the gum and work it downward with the toothbrush

use long strokes as the peanut butter and gum are mixed the gum will be broken

down after a certain point you may want to switch over to a comb or your fingers

to get larger chunks out of your hair use the back of a spoon behind the gum

as a hard surface to spread the peanut butter on use a towel to clean your hair

once peanut butter breaks the gum down use a cloth or paper towel to work the

gum out of your hair although peanut butter and the comb will

work the chunks out there may still be residue that can be picked up by a towel

peanut butter will require generous shampooing to watch out of your hair

LFP 073 How to play the Flute With Braces or No Teeth | Learn Flute Online Video Podcast - Duration: 9:17.

Welcome to episode number seventy three!

I'm Rebecca Fuller the flute expert at Learn Flute Online, today we're going to take

a detailed look at the answer to questions I get all the time.

How to play flute with braces or no teeth at all?

Sound like something you might want to know about?

Well, I think you're gonna like this- so stick around- be right back.

Hello and welcome back to another audio episode of the Learn Flute Podcast.

There is so much knowledge to share with you online students.

You can enjoy these audios and make the information about music learning part of your life in

not only an educational way, but in other positive ways that impacts you, your family

and friends.

You'll want to keep it around forever and ever.

Nuf said.

Let's get going on today's subject.

I have students in all stages of life.

And, when I say all stages..

I really mean that.

My youngest student I have ever taught was almost three years old.

The bulk of my young studio begins around age four, and goes on up through the of the

different ages all the way to the wisest of them who are in their nineties.

Yes.

I am serious.

This instrument spans all ages and stages.

It's awesome!

Throughout these stages I have the opportunity of watching the students as they develop-

right in front of my eyes - literally.

There are parts of development that you possibly hadn't even thought of.

For example, the subject for today is all about those teeth and how they affect flute-playing.

When I begin a student at a very young age, they have all of their cute little baby teeth,..

Then as they turn about seven or eight years old- those teeth begin falling out, and we

have to adjust our playing style just slightly to accommodate for having a lot of empty spaces

in the mouth.

It's a whole new ball game for a few minutes when your tongue has no teeth to touch - especially

those front ones.

Think about it- the lips literally lay on your face and mouth area depending on the

position of those teeth, and especially the front ones.

If they are gone, the embouchure and aperture that are so delicately vital to tone production

are changed even moved just a little.

So, as the progression of teeth growing in and falling out happens, so does the evolving

of the abilities of the player to adjust to what is happening every few weeks even.

Let me move on- once the child is around 9 years old, suddenly they have really large

front teeth, and most of them time they aren't even straight.

They come in all crazy directions sometimes as well as the other teeth surrounding.

And, this stage spurs on the next one which is braces - or brackets as they are called

in some countries.

Think of what happens during the process of straightening one's teeth with braces.

It is really come now days.

The lips lay further out from the face than they used to, so that's usually the biggest

thought we take when we approach playing the flute.

I have to teach the students to stretch their lips farther over to accommodate for the extra

distance their teeth are out from their gums.

Haha, I've actually had to get quite scientific about this.

Playing with braces is something many youngsters face in the beginning band years, and unless

someone teaches them the tricks to still being able to sound good, then it can be a very

frustrating process.

But, no worries- it's totally possible, and it's all about the top lip and getting

it all the way over that metal and down past the bottom of the front teeth.

Then all is well.

You just have to remember to do it, every time you play.

You might be wondering if once the braces come off if there are any of the same issues

of fuzzy and hard to control tone.

And, the answer is- usually not.

I don't think even once in the history of me teaching hundreds of students with braces

have we ever had problems getting and keeping good tone the day the braces are removed.

And, this is mostly because we've already been working so hard on learning good tone

techniques and where exactly the lips must be etc. that once the smooth teeth return,

all is well- and most of them time, even a smidge better!

So, adult-hood with big-kid teeth lasts a lot longer than these previous stages… but

then the funny thing is that we get to go right back to the same stage as the youngest

as teeth begin to shift in older age, and some of you listening can attest to the fact

that you don't always play with a whole deck of pearlies in your later years.

And, sometimes you're faced with learning how to play with false teeth or dentures even.

I have had quite a few people ask me if they should play with the dentures IN or with them

out.

Well… this all depends on which type you own.

It's really hard to play the flute with a false 'roof' of the mouth.

It causes all sorts of tone issues.

So back in the stage of braces, if you have an expander in your mouth I usually suggest

we just kinda hang with it and don't worry about  a lot of flute tone progression during

that time because it's usually very hard to control and usually a lot of drooling and

spitting is happening during that time as well.

But it doesn't last forever and never more than three months.

It causes all sorts of tone issues.

We need that natural, high arch to get good tone, and if there's too much going on that

exceeds what used to be naturally grown in your mouth, then it's going to be super

hard to adjust.

But, it is possible.

Just as the seven year old has to learn how to play with even 8 of their front teeth missing,

it's also possible for an adult to slowly adjust and learn as well.

It's just that the adult isn't quite as pliable and patient about it.

So goes the circle of teeth-life in the days of a flutist.

I'm not quite sure if any other instrument matters as much in the way of tone production

and teeth.

I remember my brother complaining that playing the trumpet was killing him when he had braces

-- wax and more wax haha.

But, the teeth, gums, mouth roof, and lips of a flutist are super-duper important, and

will evolve in the lifetime.

So, what take away do we have here today in this quick discussion about teeth?

Well, it's that no matter what is going on inside your mouth, you can do it.

You can learn how to play the flute.

It takes continual effort, good instruction, and patience.

Yup- that's about it.

We're all different, and the flute doesn't discriminate.

It sits there all pretty just waiting for you to get it figured out so it can help be

the tool that enhances your life.
