Be In The Now Today, Better Than Tomorrow - Duration: 8:03.

I was inspired to do this video for you.

In the morning that I had a revelation from the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit.

But I also want you to remember that whenever I say Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit, I mean it

as the breath in the pineal gland and as it runs through the spinal column from the root

Chakra, as well as the Ether that the Greeks talked about, that's above the atmosphere.

And that is the air that the gods breathe.

Okay.

So this understanding of the Holy Spirit or the Holy Ghost is good because it is scientific.

And it unites all the Holy Spirit's understanding in different traditions of the World.

So the Holy Spirit told me that the translation that I gave was good, but not focusing on

the point.

Remember that I was talking about the Now, how to live the Now in the Biblical way.

The translation I gave was, I'm going to read that, and I am going to read a new translation,

or the translation from the King James Version which the Holy Spirit said was more close

to what Jesus was saying.

So the old one that I gave you, 'Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, but tomorrow

will worry about itself.

Today has enough trouble of its own,' which is Matthew 6:34.

Now here is a better understanding that comes through this translation from the King James

Version.

"Take therefore no thought for the morrow."

So, he has introduced the word thought, no thought.

"Take therefore no thought for the morrow."

It's all about the thought of the morrow that matters.

Because it's the only, the thought that creates time that puts you out of the Now.

If there is no thinking — remember that I told you yesterday that the Mind is Time.

And Mindlessness is Timelessness; and that is the Now.

So if you have a thought for the morrow, then you are in the Time flow.

Then, you will not be able to take full advantage of this moment.

So, this translation clearly brings out this idea of how thinking creates Time.

"Therefore, no thought for the morrow."

"Take, therefore, no thought for the morrow" because morrow will worry about itself.

And then, each day has enough trouble of its own.

That's the new translation.

So it's all about thinking about morrow or yesterday or even today, to be honest with

you.

Okay.

You have to be in the Now while living in the Today.

Don't get confused.

Today has everything to reveal to you.

The moment you think of tomorrow, what's going to happen?

Like Macbeth was going to kill King Duncan and then what happens?

And he says, "I will kill him tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow."

No I think it's not, maybe Macbeth, I don't know.

I don't remember because Shakespeare talks about tomorrow a lot.

So, tomorrow doesn't exist unless you bring that into your Consciousness.

I've been thinking about Hamlet now too.

So, tomorrow will bring in Time.

If you want to be Timeless, you have to live in the Now.

And that reminds me about today.

And I just wanted to talk about today is a very important day especially during the Sunset

Time.

Today is called Pradosham, which is the 13th Moon, which the twilight zone is the time

that you can get rid of your Karma, your past, within the Indian Yogic tradition.

So the chant for the day would be like, 'Thiru Neela Kantam.'

You know, you have "Thiru Neela Kantam," those of you who have been following me, is

the mantra for removing Karma.

And then, that 13th again reminds me of Jesus.

On the Last Supper Day, there were 13 people, including Judas who was going to betray him.

And also, the 13th station is when Jesus was taken out of the Cross and then he was on

the lap of Mother Mary.

I saw just a picture, and I was just, you know, just moved to see the picture of Jesus

lying on Mother Mary's lap.

So the 13th is a very important time.

You know, the 13th Moon, you know.

Moon is an indicator of time in the Lunar Calendar.

And it is the time when you really can remove your Karma.

And so that reminds me of the 15th Moon.

Every Full Moon is a very important time for your prosperity Consciousness.

And those who seek prosperity should do Shreem Brzee [mantra chanting] on the Full Moon.

And that also reminds me again of the next Full Moon which is the most Full Moon where

the Guru can Bless you, okay, into a different prosperous life.

So I also want to invite you to that Program.

I know that if you cannot afford that program, I've already told people

to post the previous year's Guru Purnima Program on the FaceBook, so that you can understand

the importance of the Full Moon. God Bless.

Never Drink Milk Again Until You See This Video- Vitalife Show Episode 247 - Duration: 3:17.

Welcome to the vitalife show I'm Doctor Janine Bowring and I want to share with

you today never to drink milk again until you see this entire video. So the

problem with conventional dairy products is that especially when they're not

organic is that they contain hormones and antibiotics and the problem with

this is that unfortunately this disrupts what's going on

with our own hormonal system when we ingest them and also our digestive tract

so this actually has wreaked havoc in our digestion and affecting our

probiotics so we always have to make sure that we have enough of the good

guys in our digestive tract for our immune system but also for our digestive

function to make sure that we have a proper metabolism breaking down our food

and when we're ingesting dairy products that contain these antibiotics and

hormones it wipes out our good flora and this compromises our immunity we can get

getting sick all the time and causing a lot of problems for health.

So whenever possible if you are going to have dairy products make sure that it's

organic and yes I know it's more expensive but this is a good way to make

sure that you're not getting those added hormones and antibiotics into your diet.

Now what about the alternatives that are out there so a lot of people have gone

to things like soy milk almond milk rice milk coconut milk, well they're not the

greatest and the other day when I went to my favorite coffee shop and you know

I said to myself well maybe you let me look at the ingredient that's actually

in this you know coconut latte, unfortunately I was shocked to find out

that I think the second or third ingredient was sugar which is you know

common for most of those alternative dairy ingredients in unfortunately and

this is a big problem but one of those ingredients is carrageenan and it was in

there and carrageenan is derived from seaweed and this is a it's a big problem

it's an emulsifier in the day in the non dairy products but unfortunately it's

been linked to things like birth defects and Crohn's disease and colitis and

inflammation in the digestive tract lowered immune function polyps in the

colon. I mean this is crazy so it's one of

those things carrageenan that we absolutely need to avoid and yet it was

in my favorite latte, and I thought it was doing a good job by staying away

from the dairy but not so much. So you know be aware of these things you always

have to be aware of everything that you're putting into your body and do it

as naturally as possible. So thanks for joining me today.

Minor Arpeggios - minor Major 7 - Explore 5 Essential Chord Sounds - Jazz Guitar Lesson - Duration: 7:23.

(jazz guitar)

- Hi everybody, my name is Jens Larsen.

It's important that if you take the time

to learn an arpeggio, that you also spend some time

trying to figure out what other

chords you can use it on,

because in that way,

you can actually use it in a lot of different places and

you add to your vocabulary on several different chords.

In this video, I'm gonna take a minor Major arpeggio,

which I think is something very typical

for the melodic minor sound,

and then I'm gonna go over five different places

where you can put that to use

and show you some examples from standards

of where this happens and how I might use it in a line.

(jazz guitar)

The first example is using

the minor Major arpeggio on a minor Major chord,

so really just the most basic way.

But this tonic minor sound is really powerful

and it's definitely something you want to work with.

I'm using the song, Solar, as an example here

and it's just the first three bars of Solar.

I start off with the arpeggio,

so just the C minor Major arpeggio.

(demonstrates on the guitar)

Really bringing out the Major 7 against the minor chord.

Then I play a Dsus triad in a pattern,

(demonstrates on the guitar)

and that gives me the 9 of the chord.

Again, bringing out the Major 7 and then

we transition to G minor,

by walking up to the minor Third of G minor.

(jazz guitar)

In the second example,

I'm using the minor Major arpeggio

on a half diminished chord, so in this case,

it's an E half diminished chord

and I'm using a G minor Major arpeggio.

(demonstrates on the guitar)

The sound that you get here is actually

the sound of using melodic minor

on top of a half diminished chord,

which is often referred to as Locrian natural 2.

So, what we have here is then a Locrian sound,

or half diminished sound, but with a natural nine

that sounds like this.

(demonstrates on the guitar)

The example that I'm using here

is the first few bars of Stella by Starlight,

and the method is E half diminished,

A 7 to

C minor,

and this doesn't actually call for using

melodic minor on a half diminished chord,

but if you check out a recorded version

by Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock,

you'll hear them both really sort of

pulling out the F sharp,

and really emphasizing that sound on that chord.

The line that I'm playing

is just starting with the minor and Major arpeggio,

(demonstrates on the guitar)

and then I'm running down a D Major triad,

(demonstrates on the guitar)

and then I'm going to the A7b9.

And here, I'm just using a diminished arpeggio

with a few leading notes, so

(demonstrates on the guitar)

and then I'm resolving to the 9 of C minor.

(jazz guitar)

One of the places where we use melodic minor the most

is probably on the Lydian dominants.

So, any dominant that doesn't resolve a fifth down,

or a fourth up, we can make into a Lydian dominant.

Some of the examples where that happens in a Major key

would be the five of five, a triton substitution,

or maybe the back-door dominant or the flat 7 dominant.

And in the example that I'm going over here,

I'm using the standard "Take the A Train",

which is two bars of tonic,

so that's in C Major,

and then two bars of five of five,

where I'm using the Lydian dominant,

(demonstrates on the guitar)

so dominant sharp eleven, that goes to the two chord,

and then back to the one.

The line on the C Major 7 is first some simple melodies,

just emphasizing, a C Sixth sound,

so

(demonstrates on the guitar)

and then a small scale one.

And then I'm chromatically approaching the

A to use the A minor Major arpeggio,

so

(demonstrates on the guitar)

on the D7.

From here I go up the arpeggio from the third of D7,

so F# half diminished,

(demonstrates on the guitar)

and then a small melody around the scale.

(demonstrates on the guitar)

And then using the D sharp as a new note

to resolve to the fifth of the D minor.

(jazz guitar)

The other dominant that we really love

from the melodic minor sound,

is the altered dominant.

So in this example I'm just playing a 2 5 1 in the key of C,

and I'm using a G altered scale,

so that's Ab melodic minor,

and I'm using the Ab minor Major arpeggio.

So the line starts off on a D minor,

and that's just a simple D minor pentatonic,

followed by an A minor run,

(demonstrates on the guitar)

and then on the G7 I start off with a minor Major arpeggio,

(demonstrates on the guitar)

and then I chain that together

with an F half diminished arpeggio

in a pattern.

And then I resolve that to the ninth of C.

(jazz guitar)

This example is the only example

that is not coming out of melodic minor.

So, the progression I'm using here

is the first few bars of a C minor blues.

And the sound that I'm applying here,

is the fourth mode of harmonic minor.

So the scale that's being used is for the biggest part,

just G harmonic minor.

The sound you get if you use the fourth mode

of harmonic minor is like a Dorian #4 type sound.

So that would sound something like this.

(demonstrates on the guitar)

So if we look at the extensions we have available,

I have a C minor 7, with a nine,

a 13,

and a #11.

And I'm using the G minor Major arpeggio

to really emphasize that #11

which is sort of an interesting sound for this.

The example starts by just really stating

the C minor sound, and the way I'm doing that

is that I'm using some lines based on the arpeggio

from the third, so the E flat Major 7 arpeggio,

so that's this part.

(demonstrates on the guitar)

And then in bar three, I really wanna bring out

the Dorian #4 type sound

and the way I'm doing that is that I'm going into

using the 13 here,

and then using the G minor Major arpeggio.

And then really also emphasizing so G major triad,

and then a transition to the C7,

to go to F minor,

and that's

just a C7 from F harmonic minor,

and then resolving to the fifth of F minor.

For anything that we practice

and try to get in while playing,

it is more efficient and is also very useful

to really figure out how many places

can I use it, are there chords that you also use

that you are not thinking about already,

because in that way you have just more options,

and you can easily add something to your vocabulary

and you will get a lot more out of the techniques

that you practice.

How to Make Honey Mustard Molasses Pork Barbecue - Easy Grilled Pork Recipe - Duration: 5:26.

How to Make Honey Mustard Molasses Pork Barbecue - Easy Grilled Pork Recipe

Hello and welcome back to In the Kitchen with Matt, I am your host Matt Taylor.

This next grilling video, we are going to make, a Bobby Flay recipe, it is honey mustard

pork medallions on the grill, mmm yummy.

It is really easy to do, let's get started.

Alright for the honey mustard glazed pork medallions, first what you want to do is get

a nice pork tenderloin, so I have one right here, and now what we are going to do is we

are going to take a knife and we are going to cut it into pieces, about like that size.

You can trim off the excess fat if you want to; I always leave it on for an extra bit

of flavor.

And then what you do is you take a mallet like this, and we are going to just go ahead

and we are going to just pound this pork down, about like this.

All right, just go ahead and put it on a sheet pan.

All right and then what we are going to do is we are going to just hit this with some

olive oil.

I don't measure the olive oil, just go ahead and throw some on there.

You can come in here with your fingers and move it around.

And we are going to take some salt, hit it with some salt, again I don't measure this

stuff, I just lightly throw some on there.

Some pepper, ground pepper, and some garlic powder.

And then what I normally do since there is a lot of oil and stuff on the bottom I is

I will just go like this and kind of mix it around a little bit, just so it gets both

sides.

All right now the meat is prepped and ready to go on the grill.

And now we need to make the honey molasses mustard glaze.

All right now for the glaze we are going to start with a quarter cup of molasses, and

then we want a half of a cup of Dijon mustard, it is about, about like that much, and then

about a tablespoon to two tablespoons of honey, this doesn't have to be exact this recipe,

then I am going to hit it with some salt, and give it a good stir, oh yeah.

And there we go, let's go out to the grill.

All right so what I did, is I just took the pork medallions; I just put them down on the

grill here, and I am going to go ahead and let them cook for oh about 3 to 4 minutes,

and then what we are going to do is we are going to take our little honey molasses mix,

and just go ahead and baste these, really well, awesome.

All right and then we are going to let these cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.

We will flip them over and then we will baste the other side, and cook that side.

And these are pretty thin, so they cook pretty quickly, let's go ahead and turn these over.

And we will go ahead and get hit this side with this.

Dude this is a nice like brush, hey go away.

All right now these ones here on the end are done.

This is my niece Elsa; she is here helping me celebrate my birthday.

Oh yeah, she is going to go ahead and give it a try on camera, this is so good, oh my

goodness, this is so good.

Dude, Elsa likes it, thumbs up everybody, make them yourself.

All right and that is how you make honey molasses pork, super amazing, pretty easy to do, tastes

really good, if I can do it, you can do it.

I am Matt Taylor; this has been another episode of In the Kitchen with Matt, thank you for

joining me, as always if you have any questions or comments, put them down below and I will

get back to you as soon as I can.

Thumbs up, down in the corner, push it.

Performance Where It Matters Most - Duration: 29:33.

(machines whirring)

- [Announcer] Today, on Deer Gear TV, we showcase

the Performance Center by Smith and Wesson.

We try out new pop-up blinds from Cabela's.

And finally, we check out Cabela's

meat processing equipment.

All this and more, coming up on

Cabela's Deer Gear TV.

(drumbeats)

From hand cutting to fine-tuning for precision,

Performance Center firearms are top performers.

Products from the Performance Center are the

ultimate expression of old world craftsmanship,

blended with modern technology.

Feature-rich and enhanced for better performance,

Performance Center firearms maintain

production line integrity.

Whether you're shooting a pistol, revolver, or a rifle,

you can be sure your Performance Center gun

is made with the close attention to detail

for your best shot yet. (gunshot)

- Back in 'bout 1989, they brought in

a group of guys to make high-end custom guns.

And it was really, at that point,

geared towards competition shooting.

You know, since then, we've, you know,

opened a broader range of products

to include hunting, protection.

So it's not just a competition-based platform anymore.

You're looking at a standard product

and you pick a Performance Center gun up

right next to it, right away you notice

it looks a lot different and not only that,

but you start pulling the trigger and you say,

"There's a whole lot difference here."

We take already what I consider to be

the best products on the market today,

and we'll make 'em that much better.

We add integral rails, we do custom action jobs.

So you can expect a lot smoother,

a lot lighter trigger pull.

Custom sights, custom grips, custom barrels, I mean,

they don't look anything like our standard products.

One of the most important features about some of

these hunting handguns is the fact that the triggers

are a lot nicer than your standard product.

You can expect about a three and a half pound

single action trigger pull out of Performance Center

and about a ten pound double action trigger pull,

and that's significantly different

than our standard products.

And you know, when you're in the field hunting,

you've got an animal in front of you,

you've gotta make that follow-up shot.

Typically, it's not gonna be single-action,

it's gonna be double-action, and that's where

that 10-pound double action trigger pull comes into play.

You really want a Performance Center features

you know, while you're hunting.

You know, Performance Center just doesn't do handguns.

We do rifles, we just came out with the 6.5 Creedmoor rifle.

We do 3-gun for competition shooting.

We do 9-, 10-, 11-s, we do our MMPs.

Our MMPs, once again, 3-gun, IDPA, the revolvers IDPA.

We do custom protection, you know, carry guns.

So our shield, our ported shield,

and we do a lot of j-frames, and you can expect

a nice, clean lighter double-action trigger pulls

and really, we're on a J-frame.

If you think about it, we do an action job

and we reduce the trigger pull weight 'bout 20%.

You know, when you look at our competitors,

they don't really offer a custom type package.

I mean, yeah, you can get custom guns from,

you know, smaller outfits, you can pay a lot more

money for 'em than you would for

stuff comin' out of the Performance Center.

Yet you're getting it custom done.

So you're getting something a lot

better than standard production, and

our competitors really don't do that.

Integral rails, that mean you don't have to

send your gun out to a gunsmith, have it drilled,

tapped, and then you mount the rail.

And it's not that rigid, if you take a look

at Performance Center products.

I mean, those rails are integraled to the barrel

so you don't have to worry about it ever

loosening up in the field while you're hunting.

Originally, the .44 Magnum was probably

the go-to gun for hunting.

Smith and Wesson, back when they were

looking at the 500, they were saying,

"We want a bigger platform that will

"enable a guy to hunt just about anything

"he wanted to with a handgun",

and that's how the 500 came about.

You see guys take an elephant with them now

in Africa, Cape Buffalo.

It's just opened up a wider range

of hunting opportunities for you.

People typically look at the 460, the 500,

and they shy away from it, thinking the recoil's

gonna be way too much for them to handle.

What you've gotta understand about these guns

is there's lot of weight to 'em.

There's no flutes in the cylinders,

and that helps reduce recoil.

You know, that misconception of all the recoil

you're not gonna be able to handle it,

you're not gonna be able to control it,

it's really not there.

(gunshot)

I love seeing new people come into this game,

say even though I've done it with a rifle,

I've done it with a bow, now I wanna do it with a handgun.

Takes little bit of practice and you'll be

out huntin' and enjoying it too.

- [Announcer] Come check out the expanded

Smith and Wesson Performance Center selection

at a Cabela's near you.

Deer Gear is brought to you by Cabela's.

It's in your nature.

Performance Center, by Smith and Wesson.

Performance when it matters most.

Bradley Smoker.

Food smoking made easy.

(TV static)

- [Announcer] Looking further into the line

of hunting handguns from the Smith and Wesson

Performance Center is the brand-new 460 XVR handgun,

featuring a seven and a half inch barrel.

(gunshot)

- The Smith and Wesson Performance Center 460 XVR,

this is a finely tuned handgun.

It's got a muzzle brake and an unfluted cylinder,

and it's basically been fine-tuned for those

of us out there that like these big handguns.

It's got a smooth, light trigger.

That's gonna help you dial in your shots

quickly for accuracy.

And this is a handgun, in my opinion,

this is really designed to provide

things that the hunter expects and wants

out of a hunting handgun, a revolver like this.

This particular revolver from the Performance Center

at Smith and Wesson is something that,

when you look at it, it just looks fantastic.

I mean it's just cool in your hands.

When you hold it and when you feel the balance,

and you look at the design and the craftsmanship,

and then you start feeling that finely tuned trigger

when you're pulling it, and you look at

what the muzzle brake does to reduce the recoil,

and the unfluted cylinder, and just how the gun

is put together and how it performs.

I mean you instantly gain confidence

of what it's gonna be able to do.

- And that really came out of the fact that

we're carrying ten and a half inch guns around.

They're a little bit cumbersome at times,

especially when you wanna get the gun up

quick on a stick, so we reduced the barrel

to seven and a half inches.

Once again, Performance Center action trigger,

you get a great feel on the gun.

But that little shorter barrel makes a

whole lot of difference when you're out hunting.

You know, what really makes this gun nice is

the fact that it doesn't have a longer barrel on it,

so it's a lot easier to carry while you're hunting.

- We reduced recoil in a couple different ways.

One is the muzzle brake, so when a round goes up,

we're expending gas out the barrel.

Helps reduce muzzle brake.

The other thing too is the weight of the overall guns.

So you've got a very heavy barrel,

as well as an unfluted cylinder,

which adds weight to that gun,

and that's helping to reduce recoil, too.

So that follow-up shot when you're in a field,

it's really important to get back on the target quicker,

and by reducing the recoil, that's what we're doing.

High-viz fiber optic sight gets you back on target

a lot quicker in those low-light conditions, too.

It really helps out the fact that

that fiber optic sight is lightening up.

Like I said, seven and a half inch barrel.

It's got an integral rail, and what's

nice about that is you don't have to

send your gun out to get gunsmithed

to have a mount put on the barrel.

So you don't have to worry about it

loosening up, it's nice and rigid.

Obviously, it leaves the factory with

Performance Center action, so you can expect

about a three and a half pound

single action crisp trigger pull,

and about a ten pound double action trigger pull.

Chrome hammer, chrome trigger, once again,

help to protect that from the elements.

Coke overmolded grip, once again,

it is a powerful gun, so you want something

in your hand that helps reduce recoil.

And it's got finger grooves in it.

And it's got a pad in the back of it

that helps you with the recoil, so

your hand's not absorbing all that recoil.

The grip really helps with that.

It's got a texture to it that really

gives you a nice firm grip.

I really like it a lot for hunting.

- [Announcer] Wade had the opportunity

to debut the Performance Center XVR 460

out on the field on a recent whitetail hunt.

- What I'm gonna be hunting with is somethin' new

from the Smith and Wesson Performance Center.

This is a 460 Smith and Wesson Magnum.

They've had one of these 460s out

for a long time, with a bigger barrel,

but this has got a lot of new features

built into it, and it's somethin'

that I can't wait to get out and field test.

I think it's gonna be perfect

for the situation that we're hunting in.

(suspenseful music)

Got 'im.

Got him.

Got him!

Smoked that guy.

(exhales deeply)

(laughs) That's what I'm talkin' about, right there.

Did you see him, come runnin' across that--

come runnin' across that field there?

He came in, there was two or three other deer

millin' around, and then I guess, like,

it's a little shadier there.

I'm definitely a little shook up. (laughs)

You see the gun shakin' a little bit right there.

That's a giant, see all those tines?

I mean, he's got, he's got one side,

he's got an extra tine comin' out here,

he curves in, he kept 'round, tines goin' that way.

That's what I'm talkin' 'bout.

From the Performance Center right there.

Smoked that deer.

(exhales deeply) Gol--

- -ly.

That's so fun, you know, I have really

taken to this handgun hunting

and gettin' involved in it and

spendin' time down on the range and shootin'.

They just perform so well in the field.

When you can, you know, get out there

and practice and take your time,

you can just do some phenomenal shootin' with it.

I've been practicin' at all distances,

all ranges with several different calibers, so

that was pretty cool right there.

Give it a second, then we'll go take a look.

There's blood right here too.

Search it goin', I like it better in this dirt

than I do in this...

Yep, grass.

(snickering)

Right there, buddy.

Right there!

I mean...

(laughs) He's right there in the broomweed.

Look at that, oh, my God.

Oh, my gosh.

Oh, my gosh.

I mean, what a stud.

I mean, this is an old timer, too.

That is a phenomenal buck.

And I mean, talk about center punchin' one.

We center punched that one, I can see that.

Performance Center 460.

That's a new model that they've got,

and it just has been a blast to shoot.

What a buck. (chuckles)

- [Announcer] Deer Gear is brought to you

Wherever you hunt, make it Rino Country.

Hi Viz.

See what you've been missing.

Walker's.

Protect it or lose it.

Absolute premium protection.

If you're looking for a new pop-up blind this season,

head on over to Cabela's and take a look

at the Cabela's species ground blind.

- You know, finding a pop-up for all your

hunting situations is really tough.

How big do you need it?

What size, how do you want the design to be?

If you're looking for an extra-large blind

for up to two people, adjustable windows

give you maximum visibility.

A hook-and-molle window system

that eliminates the need for zippers.

Shoot-through mesh panels, this is definitely

a blind that I think you wanna look at.

I spent some time in the field

on a recent handgun hunt, and really found

that the Cabela Species Ground Blind was unique

in its design and allowed me to find success,

thanks to some of these unique features that it had.

It offers 180 degree panoramic windows.

It's really cool, so you can open 'em

as big or little as you want.

The shoot-through panels are really key

for a lot of guys, because it's gonna

give them more concealment out there.

Personally, I didn't use 'em on this hunt,

but it's a great feature to have.

And another big key that I really like on this is

it's a very easy blind to pop up, and the

integrated rust loops that come with this blind

allow you easily to conceal the blind.

And that's a big thing that I really like.

I like to be able to put brush all the way around

my blind and with the loops, you can easily do that.

But I'll tell you one of the things

that really caught my feature about the

Cabela Species Ground Blind, is the extra-large

diamond-shaped windows in the two corners.

These really wide windows allow me to maximize

my shooting lanes while still feeling concealed.

You could set in a chair, traditional like

you would in a pop-up, or you can sit

on the ground like I did on a recent handgun hunt.

You could open these big diamond shaped windows

in any manner that you want to,

thanks to the silent hook-and-molle system

that comes with 'em so that you can just

unclip 'em and then clip 'em back up

to set the openings the way you want 'em.

This really played a big role in a recent

handgun hunt for me, and basically gave me

confidence in how I was able to position the blind,

how easy it was to put it up, how easy it was

to brush it in, and then finally, with those

diamond-shaped windows and setting on the ground,

those deer had no idea I was there.

So this blind, the Cabela Species Ground Blind,

is definitely one to take a look at if you like

a lot of versatility in how you can set your blind up.

- [Announcer] If pop-up blinds don't suit

your hunting needs, these fiberglass hunting blinds

from Hercules Outdoors may be just what you need.

- We're gettin' our first ever Hercules blind

put up right now, and as you can see,

this is really well designed.

For people that are lookin' for a combination

fiberglass blind to be able to hunt in all weather

in all situations, this is the blind design

that you're probably gonna wanna look at.

You got the big, long windows for the bow hunter.

Square windows for rifle hunters,

and you can obviously mix it up

for a lot of different angles.

We've got a multitude of options

once you get inside this blind,

and it is so well built from a

construction standpoint, from the windows

to the locks, to the fiberglass construction.

This is a blind in an entire set up that you're

not gonna have to worry about for a lifetime.

- [Announcer] Hercules blinds are entirely made

in the USA, and are manufactured in Santa Fe, Texas

using high-quality fiberglass components,

combined with tried and tested processes

of hand-lain fiberglass to construct

very durable, superior products.

Every fiberglass hunting blind

is custom built to your specifications, and can

be customized with additional luxurious upgrades.

Grovtec.

Go hunt, we'll carry the gun.

And by Yamaha ATV and side-by-sides.

Real world tough.

If you're a hunter who likes to process

your own meat and make your own jerky,

Cabela's has everything you need

to make the perfect venison jerky.

Clark Wendlandt is here to show us how quickly

and easily it is to make your own jerky.

- Probably the most important thing

for processin' deer to me is a good grinder.

A good grinder helps you make sausage, make tacos,

you can make chili, do all kinds of things.

Spaghetti, soups, there's lots of things

you can do with ground meat.

So, you know, I actually own a Cabela's

Carnivore Grinder, one and a half horsepower,

and that's exactly what this one is.

This is the newest model, and the cool thing

about this one is it has this CoolTec.

You put it in the freezer and it actually makes

this housing really cold, so when that meat goes

through there, it doesn't warm the meat at all.

It stays really, really cold, and then that helps

your ground meat stay a little bit more firm when

you're workin' with it, especially makin' sausage.

The firmer it is, the better it is.

And so...

I'm gonna just show you how I grind meat and how

easy this is, how much of a beast this machine is.

So I'm gonna just take some meat,

I'm gonna stick it in here in the tray,

and turn it on, and we're gon' grind some meat.

The one thing about this grinder is,

it'll do a lot of meat, and it'll do it pretty fast.

And you can see, I've already ground up

about 40 or 50 pounds right here.

And I've got just a little bit more to go,

'bout another 10, 15, 20 pounds.

That right there will spit it out.

We're actually gonna take this

ground meat, we're gonna use the Jerky Blaster

and actually season it with a kit from Cabela's,

a kit that just makes it super easy.

So what I've got in here is, I've

got five pounds of ground meat.

I'm gonna go with Cabela's Peppered Venison jerky.

So I've got two packets, I've got the pepper jerky packet.

I've got the cure packet.

Basically, you just add both of 'em to it.

The cure is there so that--

when you're dryin' meat, you gotta have a cure on it.

And then, I'm basically gonna just take this meat

in this tray and I'm gonna just thoroughly mix it up.

This is just five pounds.

And so, I've got the meat pretty thoroughly mixed up.

The only other thing you gotta add

is just a little bit of water,

and so I've got some water measured out here.

I mean, I think that that's probably a half cup

or a quarter cup that you want in there.

And that just makes it go through

that Jerky Blaster just a little bit easier.

And you're thinking, well, how

is that gonna go into the meat?

Well, if you mix it up, that

water will just kinda naturally--

The meat'll just kind of absorb it,

so once I get it mixed up really good,

then I'm gonna go to the Jerky Blaster.

I'm actually gonna take one of the trays of the

dehydrator out, and we're gonna have venison jerky.

You know, to load this thing up,

you've got an easy loading attachment.

Basically just goes and it just screws right on the end.

You can put your meat in there real easily.

Once you get some in there,

you take this plunger, and it'll just load it.

And makes it a lot easier than trying

to just go, you know, slowly get it in that tube.

They've got several different tips that you can use.

You can use a round tip.

You can use a bigger flat tip.

I've always liked flat because I feel like

it's a little bit easier, a little quicker

on the dehydrator if you're using a flat one,

but you've got both options.

This is a Cabela's 12-Tray Pro Series Dehydrator.

And I'm actually putting the last trays

in it right now, just fit 'em in there.

It'll actually hold 12 trays.

That's the last tray right there.

Now I'm gonna close it up.

The door is strong, it's got a great magnet.

It stays really good.

When you power it on, all you gotta do is set two things.

You gotta set your temperature,

and you gotta set your time.

We're ready to go.

I just heard it boot up and come on.

Check back in about ten hours.

That jerky's gon' be ready to eat.

Hey, let's see what we got.

Wow.

Venison jerky right there.

I tell you what, if you got the opportunity,

you like great-tasting jerky, and who doesn't?

You know, try some of Cabela's jerky-making kits.

The dehydrator makes it really simple.

This was nine hours at 160.

And this is perfect.

- [Narrator] Today on Cabela's Deer Gear TV

Wade will show you where to set up your stealth cam,

followed by showing you ConQuest Scents' new heat seeker.

And finally we'll do some rattling

during the peak of the rut.

All these and more coming up on Cabela's Deer Gear TV.

(upbeat music)

- Scouting camera is to me really can provide so much intel.

There are so many different places

and scenarios which you can put up scouting cameras at.

Whether you're looking at trails,

you know, trying to judge which direction deer

or any game species are coming from.

Feeding locations, whether you're putting out

you know attractive blocks, like your Quick Draw

or you've, you got it near a corn feeder, protein feeder

or over a food plot.

Scouting cameras are very effective around feeding areas.

You know, this is on demand

protein feeder that we use

primarily from probably about

the first of March to till the end of September

and we don't use it anymore.

It's a great place to be able to give lots of data

on your herd.

Whether you're looking at antler development,

or you're looking at, you know fawn recruitment

you're looking at

do they even have your turkey?

populations bearing?

Set up wise for scouting cameras,

there's a lot of different things to keep in mind.

You know, first we've got to decide on how to mount it.

You know, there's so many different ways to mount it.

You know, lot of these cameras come with straps

you can use baling wire.

You can screw things into the, into trees,

but, you know, there's so many places out there

where you just can't do any of that,

because there's not wood, there's not a brush.

It allows you to do that

and that's where something like to ground auger by dead-deer

really comes into play.

This Ground Auger system is part of the dead-deer

line up and it allows you

to be able to screw

Your camera mount in, in a lot of those locations

that you, you know normally, either one can't

or two have to rely on a different

type of a mounting system.

In this case here,

I basically got both a corn feeder

and a food plot now that I'll

be able to give photos of

where normally I couldn't even have come in from this angle.

You can see on this tree

stealth cam, I've got it

screwed into a tree mount right here

and it's triggering points

probably actually a little bit too high

probably I'd be better off

and it makes it easy to put it right around here

I like things closer around that waist high level

I've actually got this one aimed at a feeder

along this power line

and you can see they pretty much blasted this area out.

Its pretty well worn right here

and it's a, it's a location that,

you know, I can monitor it all year long.

You know once you get a scouting camera

placed in a lot of locations,

then you've got to kind of figure out

how you wanna set it up.

I love to go into a custom settings

on this particular model

and many other one's as well.

So, once I get it set up

to the exact way I liked to do it.

You know, I want to know the date

because that's very helpful for you as a hunter

to be able to know what's coming and going

and in this set up here

it's so easy to change.

Right now, we're at the

end of August, the 29th.

If I need a change it, it's as simple as just hitting enter

and you'll start to see that months change.

It'll be the same for day and the year.

You can just adjust it up and down

to exactly what you're looking at.

Then when you're ready to go to the next setting

you just hit enter again.

Then you start to scroll down.

We look at our time.

It's 9:42 in the morning.

We go, the exact time zone that we're setting in.

So, whether you guys are hunting in eastern,

central, western, mountain whatever,

the time format,

I like 12 hours.

some people like military time,

they've got the option to set it up to that.

Then you go down

and I've got mine set up in the photo mode

which is what I'm looking for.

I want it to operate 24 hours a day

seven days a week.

Because I'm looking to capture everything that's coming in

and out of the exact area.

Now this is a cool feature that I really like.

You've got the option basically to set the quality

of the photo that you want.

How this plays a big role for a lot of people is

you know your memory cards will be able to hold so much

I typically use a 32 gig card on mine.

But I like a very high resolution photo.

Because I want to be able to see everything

that, you know I'm looking at.

But you can set it to low as two

or as high as 14.

You know, scouting camera set up for a lot of people

that's an addiction.

You know it's not uncommon for me to run

20 to 40 different cameras at multiple locations

all over the place

and I can't wait to open them up,

grab the cards out,

put them in my computer

and start studying and I mean,

just so much fun things you can,

can happen when you start looking at scouting camera photos.

- [Narrator] The Stealth cam G45NG pro

is 10% smaller than the original G-series

and features a dull matte finish camouflage pattern

providing no unwanted reflections.

This premiere scouting cameras

feature 45 No Glow, IR flash emitters

to help illuminate upto 100 feet out

for great night time photos.

Allowing you better coverage than ever before.

In addition, you can set up matrix advanced blur reductions

So, you're no longer getting those fuzzy

out of focus photos we all despise.

The camera also comes with video and photo settings.

Allowing you to capture the best images for your needs.

The Stealth cam 45NG can capture

as many as nine photos every time it triggers.

This feature enables you to get many looks and angles

on a game species as possible

to help you plan for your next hunt.

So, if you're looking for a top of the line scouting camera

we highly recommend the Stealth cam G45NG pro.

Real world tough.

Garmin Rino seven series.

Wherever you hunt, make it Rino country.

The rut is the most time sensitive part of deer season.

where bucks set aside caution

and focus on finding a doe in heat.

ConQuest Scents is come out with heat seeker.

An innovative way for you, the hunter to see

when and where a doe is in heat.

Telling you exactly where to camp out

and search of Mr. Buck.

- So this is what the strip looks like when you first start

and you're gonna be putting some of the heat seeker

liquid on there and you're gonna

basically cover this entire square.

Then once you deploy the card into an area

what you want to get is obviously a reddish color

to pop up.

When you can look at the entire setup here,

this plastic bag or plastic covering is designed

and keep the scent cone going up,

so whatever has happened in this area

is gonna go across

our test strip and trigger it and tell us good or bad.

You know, now look at this particular scrape

that I'm looking at right here.

I stomped on it,

because I know there's a couple of big bucks

that have been working this area.

So I just was kind of curious.

(mumbling) when I look at this

it's not super active from, you know,

I know this, this sign is not so good

the stuff that is fallen off this tree

is not, that's not, there's not recent scrap marks on there.

I am not surprised that the heat seeker

didn't, actually turn fully red here,

but I wanted to check.

Because I wanted to know what's happening

in this particular area.

And that's what as a hunter,

this is gonna be such a valuable tool.

You can help eliminate locations,

by getting a negative breeding

as well as when you get a positive

you know you're right where you wanna be hunting.

You know, I talk all the time about hunting areas

where there's lots of does.

Because when you are in the rut

you wanna be know, in those high percentage areas

we're in one of those high percentage areas

and we definitely know, now looking at heat seeker

that we've got,

a doe in this area, that is

is ready to be bred.

I mean, you can see here,

an idea, in this scenario

the doe's gonna come to scrape

or trail or a feeding area

and she's gonna urinate and that ester that smell

is gonna be there when you put this bag over it,

is gonna come up out of that,

and activate this

and that's what looking for.

So we here hit several locations

and we got no result.

Now, we've hit an area

that I personally know that there's several doe's here

and I have some scrapes here,

but I am kind of thinking in my mind

I am passed that period

I am passed the period

where a lot of these does are gonna be

in esters where they're gonna be receptive to breeding

but obviously not,

so that tells me exactly what I need to do.

to climb up in that stand

and I hope they do

leaves all those bigger bugs around back.

It's just another great tool

from ConQuest Scent help you be more successful,

when it comes time for you to go hunting.

- [Narrator] Three stands are awesome places

to spend fall and winter watching the woods

while dreaming of big white tails.

However those scenic views and enjoyable times

can turn deadly quickly, if proper precautions aren't taken.

No one plans the fall, but it happens.

The good news is that the commercial tree stands

continue to evolve, making them safer than ever before.

With these new features, we can avoid

or the very least minimize the possibility of mishaps.

Here is something new on the market

from Skyline Safety Systems.

- [Narrator] Skyline Safety System is redefining

tree stand safety.

A revolutionary safety system could be the fastest

and safest way to enter a tree stand

whether it be a ladder stand or a hang-on stand

with use of our sticks.

The patented Skyline Safety System

is made of light weight high strength aluminum

with two pivot arms that close using a pulley system

and ratchet straps.

Simply mount the Skyline Safety System

on your ladder stand's back bar

with the universal mounting kit.

Secure the tree bracket around the tree

and place the stand up against the tree.

The ratchet strap closed the pivot arms tightly

around the tree allowing you

to secure your stand prior to stepping off the ground.

This will eliminate what's called the Death crawl.

Everybody is familiar with it.

It's where you place the ladder stand against the tree

and inch your way up,

hoping it does not fall before you can secure the top.

The Skyline Safety Sticks are also available

for use with hang-on stands

simply assemble much like other climbing sticks.

Place the sticks up against the tree.

The ratchet strap closes the pivot arms

tied around the tree

allowing you to secure your sticks to the tree

prior to stepping off the ground.

We also offer a lifeline securing system

that allows you to safely secure your lifeline to the tree

prior to stepping off the ground.

Arctic Ice

we put the cool in coolers.

During the summer months, it is important to maintain

your constant supply of food and protein to your deer

as the warm weather can take a toll on a deer's nutrition.

Wade has something new to show you from Purina

that will help in supplying protein to your deer

and our friends at Mumme's have answered

your most asked questions on keeping up

with deer management.

Let's hear from them now.

- Mumme's is your one stop shop.

Besides being the largest Purina Antler Max dealer

in the nation.

Mumme's is known best for cleanest apples and deer corn

available anywhere.

If it's feasible both financially and labor wise,

year round feeding is absolutely the best time

to feed deer protein pellets.

This keeps those animals on a constant level of nutrition

and the results will be soon be very obvious.

During Spring and Summer, March through September

this is antler growth and doe lactation time.

Now, is when you need to be feeding a 20% deer pellet

such as Purina Antler and Max 20%.

When September arrives,

and Bucks shed the velvet off their antlers

and the fawns have switched over

to a diet other than the doe's milk.

Now, you can switch to 16% pellet.

It's higher in fat such as Purina Rut and Conditioner.

It no longer needs the 20% protein

but will use the extra fat to get them

through the harder Winter months and the rut.

When you start them on a supplemental feed produce

it should be well thought out and executed.

It helps if you have an aerial map.

Your protein feeders should be applied

at a rate of one feeder per every 200 to 250 acres.

Each feeder should be evenly spaced across your property.

Key points to look for areas near your water and cover.

If hogs or cattle are present

your feeders will have to be fenced off.

To do this, you use 12, 16 foot

(mumbling)

so to stake in a clear area.

Tie a rope with a finish linked at 27 foot six inches

over the stake.

Pull tight and walk in a circle, spray into the ground

at the end of the rope, spray paint.

Now, start setting post eight foot intervals

around the painted circle.

After the paint sets, stand up and wire your panels to it.

Leave one post out of the center of a panel

so you can use that for a gate.

You will end up with a circular pin

and approximately 60 foot across.

When you first start filling your feeders

don't fill them completely up.

It will take some time

for the deer to get use to the feeders

and the new feed.

Mix pellets 50-50 with quality deer corn

when filling feeders.

Also scatter some corn on the ground around the new feeders.

Feeders should be checked and filled on a regular basis

and should never be allowed to run completely out.

Feeders should be maintained

and feeds kept fresh and dry.

After the deer get accustomed to the new feeders and feed

cut the corn out completely.

(mumbling) such as raccoons can be a problem

and should be controlled.

Come early August, put a good game camera

on your protein feeders.

You will find that this time

most of the activity will be at night

and will be mostly Bucks'

You can use these pictures to compare the antler size

of known bucks from year to year.

You will see a difference in antler size

and body condition.

This information can be used in your management plans

or cold bucks for upcoming deer season.

- You know of my favorite ways

to be able to really get a feel

and a sense for all the game

in the area is to put out something

like this Quick Dry Protein Block

and it's as simple as setting it out and coming back

and checking the scouting cameras to see what's coming in,

you know, in this location right here.

You never know what's going to show up

on the scouting cameras.

I mean, it's generally,

a pretty wide range of game that shows up.

For me, a lot of the benefits include

being able to ensure that the deer are in good shape

in the off-season, high heat, high stress time of the year.

It also plays a giant role in helping

that the doe's be able to find nutrition,

to be able to feed their fawns.

And for you guys in those areas that it's legal,

you can place these out near and around your hunting areas

to be able to help deer.

And finally, for you guys

that are addicted to scouting cameras like I am

you can put them out in those areas and you will able to see

what's coming in

and you'll be able to see instantaneous results

once you get these blocks set out.

- [Narrator] Deer Gear is brought to you by

Spin Tech, the new generation of game feeders.

Sawyer Products, we keep you outdoors.

Thompson Center

America's master gun maker.

(upbeat music)

- As we wrap up this episode of Cabela's DeerGear TV,

we've talked about deer management

and we've also touched on the rut of deer season.

So, let's Join Wade and Jeff Reynolds out of the ranch

as they spend their day rattling

to see if Jeff see's any shooters that he wants to harvest.

- You know, strategy is what we're looking to do in here.

It's going to be covering a lot of ground.

So, we got a pair of Yamaha Side-by-side

is going to be going out.

We're gonna cover a tremendous amount of ground.

In some places, actually,

we haven't even really hunted before.

And the goal is going to be to get some areas

where we can see a little bit.

This is heavy Texas west country.

We'll ease up to some of the locations

and then we'll hike, you know, maybe a 100, maybe 200 yards.

We'll sit there for maybe five minutes and do nothing.

We'll kind of let the environment settle down.

Then I'll crash the antlers together

aggressively and it's not uncommon or right away

for the first one to get a deer, maybe vetted down

and maybe cruising nearby to jump on his feet

and come running in really fast.

Then, we'll grind the antler together

about every five minutes for about a 15-20 minute set

at each location and just kind of see

what we're pulling in from long distances.

So, it's kind of a multi-facetted approach

it's gonna be pretty aggressive.

It's always exciting.

There's always something going on

when you are going rattling.

And I expect it to be pretty good conditions

or about perfect.

(rattling)

(whispering)

That was definitely a younger deer, but boy he was good.

- A kid, a four year old deer.

- I think it's a deer, we've seen up here.

(mumbling) - Yes.

- I really do.

- [Narrator] As Wade and Jeff move to their next spot

let's take a closer look at the muzzleloader Jeff

is hunting with.

The Thompson Center Strike.

- This is a Thompson Center Strike muzzleloader.

This is the newest and most innovative gun

in our muzzle loading line.

This gun comes with an armor night finished barrel.

In addition to that, this is a striker fired muzzle loader.

To activate the main spring of this gun,

you just push this forward.

And if for some reason you can't get the shot off

all you have to do is push this button

and it deactivates the main spring of this gun.

It opens like an over and under shotgun.

And as you can see this is the adapt breach system.

The threads are on the outside of the barrel.

With a lot of muzzleloaders, you get a lot of build up

and fouling around the breach plug.

And that's the lot of people's complaint.

On this one, since the threads are on the outside

of the barrel, you don't have to worry about that.

For more information about

the Thompson Center Strike Muzzleloader

(rattling)

- [Narrator] As the day continues, without any luck

it's time for a quick lunch break

before heading back out.

- Thank you, sir.

- I say, keep your lunch meat and your drinks cold

(mumbling)

(mumbling)

I don't know, it's 12:15

and we hit the field about seven today.

(mumbling)

We've got a lot of encounters

we've had a few strike outs.

(mumbling)

(mumbling)

(rattling)

(rattling)

- It's 4:42.

- It's 4:42? - Yeah.

Nine hours, hitting 42 minutes.

It's a good hunt, right there. - It's the best of the day.

- That's a great hunt.

A lot of encounters.

Quite a few strike outs too.

- [Jeff] I mean, you have bait 'em together.

You've cut more wood today

then most saw mills have in a week.

- We've got a few, few damages there.

I think, you know, how football players get dehydrated

and get cramped up?

I didn't know that rattlers could get dehydrated

and cramped up.

By 2 o'clock, I need water.

- Well, you don't go at it lightly.

'Cause one time I thought you were going

to knock the tree down (laughing)

(mumbling)

- Let's go load up, go find some food.

- [Narrator] That will do it,

here on Cabela's DeerGear TV.

We'll see you next time.

Neunaber Guitar Amp Alternative - Duration: 2:53.

Not every situation calls for a giant tube amp to be set up and mic'd up perfectly.

I think the thing that's really useful about the Iconoclast to me

is that it can kind of fill the gaps when like the ideal tone you want and

the reality and practicality of, you know, being a working musician kind of come into play.

When I'm doing demo work or if I just need to get something down and,

you know, still potentially use it in the mix down or, you know, in production it's

great to have something that's really high quality but also very easy.

You plug in your input and then your output and your already raring to go and it sounds

really great and it's really close to, you know, getting that expensive amp with

those expensive mics into an expensive pre-amp.

With good time, I could set up my tube amp

set up some nice mics, get everything going,

but by the time that's all ready to go the creativity, good chances are already gone

so the Iconoclast can kind of step into that gap.

Where the Iconoclast I think really shines is when I'm either rehearsing or playing live.

Where rehearsing oftentimes rehearsal spaces especially in LA are

are pretty small and so I can't bring really any amp that I can get up to a volume

where my overdrive is where I want it to be, so the Iconoclast is super helpful

there because I just plug into the system and I can have the tone as if I

were blaring or cranking it like, you know, five or six on a super reverb but

then I'm not shaking the walls.

So with playing live I think the Iconoclast shines in two or three different ways.

where you have no stage volume so you

can get the tone exactly how you want it without having to bounce, you know, house

volume and stage volume and you're just going straight into the PA so you're not

dealing with odd backline or a funky cable or anything like that or worse yet,

you know, strange power because everything's happening just right in the box

which is super useful.

The second method for you to practice your interview skills is via a face-to-face mock

interview with a Career Services professional.

This opportunity is designed to simulate a "real" interview.

You are required to dress professionally and provide us with a resume and position description.

During the mock interview, you will be videotaped as we ask you questions based on your major

and type of position for which you are interviewing.

At the conclusion of the mock interview, we will watch the video and provide you with feedback.

We'll let you know what you did well and make recommendations regarding how you may

Here are several tips to help you be successful during the interview:

Be prepared to talk about yourself and your experiences.

Learn to be a good storyteller – it will help you be memorable.

Remain positive, enthusiastic, poised, and confident throughout the entire process.

Avoid filler words such as "um," "ah," and "you know."

If you do not hear or understand a question, ask the interviewer to repeat or clarify.

That concludes our session regarding mastering the interview.
