The Restoration of a Soul Called by God - Duration: 10:50.

The Restoration of A Soul Called By God June 16, 2017

The Lord bless you, dear Heartdwellers.

May we always be faithful to keep our lives pure from compromise when the Lord gives us

gifts.

And that's what this message is about.

It's about the restoration of a soul that was called by God and mixed their call with

agreements with the enemy.

And now they're coming back, returning sincerely and they want to break all ties with the enemy.

A great repentance has taken place.

And the Lord wants to restore their souls.

He is long suffering and patient with us.

He loves us to distraction and when we've been given a call, and out of weakness compromise

that call with the devil, He separates Himself from us and waits.

He allows the devils to sift the soul until they are ready to repent.

It may take a few days, a few weeks—or in this case, a few months.

Sadly, it may never happen and the soul is lost.

But the Lord is restoring a soul in hopes that He can trust it with gifts of Healing,

gifts of Prophecy and tongues.

The Scripture says that the gifts are without repentance…but what happens when a soul

makes an agreement with the demonic?

Lord, would You please explain this to me?

"Clare, when I give a gift, it is forever.

But what a person does with that gift can utterly render it useless."

I had a vivid picture at that point.

As He was speaking, I saw a picture of a large flat object wrapped in beautiful silver paper

and ribbon; it had been dropped in the mud and trampled by pigs.

Jesus continued, "Indeed, the gift becomes useless.

In time, if the soul does not repent, I give it to another who will use it.

I didn't take the gift, they cast it to the pigs.

So, I recover it and give it to one more worthy who will cherish it.

"In this moment, we are working on the restoration of a soul who was offered a great gift, but

compromised its purity by consorting with demons.

So, the very first step is repentance.

And what I have given are the steps to be taken by anyone who has such a fall.

I wish for you to share these, because they will be useful to your audience."

Well, Heartdwellers, here are the steps we must take when we compromise with the devil.

The Lord began, "First of all, they must be sincere.

No matter how accomplished and powerful they thought they were, they must be stripped of

this before I can use them.

They may have seen themselves with a grandiose ministry and looked upon you as a poor, deceived

nobody.

This whole attitude is obnoxious to Me and must go before anything else.

So, they come to that minister in abject poverty and totally broken, acknowledging their sin.

In this condition, they renounce their ties and are forgiven.

"Then begins the reconstruction.

"You see, this is no hot-shot event.

It's simple, plain contrition and restoration.

Forgiveness and a sincere purpose of amendment.

"In the future the soul must not ever lift themselves above others or they will create

a wall between us.

They are not allowed to give prophetic words.

They are in no position to counsel anyone, let alone a leader.

"They must return to the bottom of the barrel, barely able to see enough to put one foot

in front of the other.

"They are not permitted to go off in prophecy over anyone, it will almost certainly be error.

They have a long way to go before they can be trusted with any ministry.

"What is good for them now is to set food and necessities before the poor.

This is safe for them.

If they can maintain an authentic heart attitude that they could be on the streets tomorrow

and they are not one wit more valuable than those they are feeding, they will pass through

this phase.

"They may pray for the poor with a mind that is aware that they could be sitting beside

the poor in their need, tomorrow.

"But they are not to give out words.

Not yet.

That time will come IF they are faithful.

But they mustn't step out in that direction yet.

It just isn't safe for them and will lead to embarrassment, failure and defeat.

I will tell you if and when they are to be restored.

For now, the safest place for them is to maintain their sanity by simple acts of charity.

The rest will come in time, if they are faithful.

"There is a very powerful drive in some to direct, control and stand over others.

This must be completely conquered or they will be of no use to Me.

"All 'holy' talk about what they have seen or what they have done must be left behind.

This is bragging.

It not only opens them to a major fall, but discourages others who cannot attain to such

feats and it defeats their purpose in serving Me, which is to build up others, not cast

them down beneath their feet.

They are not to Lord over and display their spiritual acts; rather they are to be kept

with Me alone.

"They are to serve the poorest, taking care of their necessities, listening to their hearts,

praying very simply for them and not looking beyond the present moment, but serving fully

from the heart in the present moment.

"No ambition but to love.

"If they attempt to go in any other direction at this time, or take up any form of ambition,

they will fall again, and again, and again.

Ambition must be renounced.

And in its stead, Faithfulness.

Littleness.

Humility.

Rather than wearing out the trail around the mountain in the wilderness, if they are willing,

I will bring them out of the wilderness—if they follow this path.

"They must abandon that desire to have superior knowledge or understanding, and make themselves

lowly and humble, of no repute.

Just as My Mother did.

She always stood in the background and never drew attention to herself.

Though she had every right to be honored, she patiently put up with those who accused

her of adultery.

"If they are faithful to do this, I have a wonderful ministry for them.

But they must go much, much deeper before I can reveal it.

Much, much deeper.

Not the kind of depth you talk about to others.

The kind of depth you are embarrassed to discuss with others, because you know yourself so

thoroughly— that you are no-one, a nothing, from nowhere…going nowhere.

Living only to love from moment to moment and completely unworthy of any spiritual gift.

"There are a great deal of manipulative techniques some have learned and acquired in the world

from childhood, that they must renounce and refuse to employ.

I cannot use a soul with duplicity of motive.

Their only motive must be to love and adore Me and their brother (and sister) each day,

in whatever form they come to them.

"They are to use their great intellect to unravel the strands of manipulation, manuvering

and posturing they have employed all their life, until they find that so repulsive they

refuse to go there.

Some have great intelligence, but are using it the wrong way.

To discover the truth about their ways and to crucify them is the right way.

"I am not being harsh, My love, I am being very straight forward, because I wish to restore

what some should have.

So, you will do Me a great kindness to present these requests to your audience."

And that's the end of His message.

I have shared a few parables with you…like the Gold Miner Parable, that pertained to

someone in this state, and now it seems there will be healing for that soul that was killed

when the tunnel colapsed.

Heart Dwellers, I want to thank you for your prayers.

I could not do this job without them.

We have so many who, without any cause, are against us.

But God is for us, so who can be against us in the long run.

Please remember us in your prayers and especially pray for our resource to be steady through

the summer, because many go on vacation and totally forget us—which can be rough on

our staff and the little poor ones in Taos we are constantly taking care of with medicine,

electricity, food and clothing.

As I have stated before, we take care of our staff with what comes in, because they work

very hard on putting books and CDs together as well as our Heartdwellers web site.

Whatever is left over is distributed to the poor.

So, thank you so very much for being faithful.

Truly the Lord reigns over this ministry and provides for it through kind hearts.

The Lord has told me many times, also, that anyone who gives a cool cup of water to a

ministry will share in the fruit of that ministry in Heaven.

So, all of you will be rewarded for your kindness.

Though you don't give the messages, you will be rewarded as if you did, because of

your prayers and offerings.

We live to love you each day.

Thank you so much for listening.

And the Lord bless you with an ever-expanding love for Him.

Amen.

Jim Stoppani Comes Home To Bodybuilding.com! - Duration: 4:21.

Today, I'm heading up to Boise,

Idaho. A trip I haven't taken

in quite a while,

as I'm going to

Bodybuilding.com headquarters,

bringing you guys the best

content and the best

products.

Words cannot express how

excited we are to have you here

today. We're super excited

to get

that level of education from an

influencer that you're willing

to bring back on the portal

where it belongs.

That's the most exciting part

of this partnership is the

education.

It absolutely is.

That's really why we're here.

Well, there's a couple of

people that want to say hi to

you.

Oh this is awesome.

We're talking about the new

partnership that we're

developing.

Why it's happening and

what we're excited about,

and literally what

we're going to bring

not only Jym Army

but the Bodybuilding.com...

The rebirth.

audience as well.

I've been a fan of yours for a

long, long time.

Using your programs and

everything you're doing; the

education,

the simplification of a complex

set of terms into a layman's

terms for everyone out there

that wants to change their life

and improve their fitness

journey.

Thank you so much.

It's so exciting for me

to be at Bodybuilding.com

because it's really,

it's been my home.

You know, we talked about

education.

I'm an educator.

Anyone who will listen,

I will speak to,

I will reach out to,

I will answer.

And you know,

never have I had a platform as

powerful as Bodybuilding.com

that reached,

such a large scale audience

that allows me to educate so

many people.

And you know, that's why we're

really here, because

we are far more powerful

together and we'll educate

far more people and

change fitness and

the supplement industry.

I agree. I was asked not too

long ago...

Together.

Why? Why push forward a

partnership? And I said,

"Well look,

Dr. Stoppani is an extension of

our mission: to change people's

lives.

His whole approach

to fitness has always been

about what do you need

to know to improve from where

you are today.

Whether that be nutrition,

training, supplementation,

even rest.

Like, simple things like that.

And that's really what

Bodybuilding.com has always

been founded and built on,

is providing that level of

education for people so they

can fight the couch,

who's the ultimate enemy at the

end of the day, right?

And get the right,

get the right advice.

Because it can be complicated,

we both know that.

Right. It's what's good,

what's bad, what's new,

what's old,

what's tried, what's not.

And to have somebody with your

stature be able to

simplify and explain

how this complex process

can be joyful,

fun, and become a lifestyle,

not a one-time event.

It's idiotic for us not to work

together.

It's idiotic for our customers.

It's idiotic for the consumer,

for the fitness enthusiast,

not to have us be together

there offering them the value

that they deserve.

Exactly.

You can expect

great content,

new programs,

new videos,

new products.

So always, guys,

stay Jym Army strong.

Thank you team.

And we look forward to

doing so much great work for

our customer base,

for people that are looking to

change their life.

It's the educators like Dr.

Stoppani, that are true spirits

in the industry, that drive

that message and help people

change their life.

It is an extension of our

mission and the synergy is very

symbiotic, and we really look

forward to executing that going

forward.

Well guys, that was a lot of

fun.

Pumped about the content we're

going to be bringing you.

I know you guys are going to

love it, too.

Stay tuned.

Roberto Diaz: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Mlog TV - Duration: 8:58.

Roberto Diaz: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

In early June Phil Mickelson announced that he would be passing on this year's U.S. Open, which is set for this weekend in Erin, Wisconsin.

Mickelson's daughter Amanda is scheduled to graduate from the Pacific Ridge School on the first day of the tournament and favorable tee times or not, Lefty is skipping this weekend's tournament at Erin Hills.

Or at least he's probably skipping the tournament. As of Wednesday evening, Mickelson has yet to formally withdraw from the tournament.

He told Golf Digest that he's keeping tabs on the forecast, but unless something changes he'll "withdraw first thing in the morning [ California time.]".

While this leaves the door open for some good news for golf fans and Mickelson heads, it leaves one golfer bidding his time in limbo, waiting to hear if he is going to make the cut or not.

Roberto Diaz could be in a holding patten right up until the moment the tournament starts at 6:45 Thursday morning or just before Mickelson's scheduled 2:20 p.m. C.T.

tee time as he waits for Mickelson's final decision or hears another golfer got sick and had to bow out. Such is the life led by the first alternate of a professional golf tournament.

Here's what you need to know about Roberto Diaz.

Diaz Has Two Top 10 Finishes in 2017. Diaz is still a relative newcomer to the sport, but he's had a respectable 2017 up to this point. In 11 events he's made the cut seven times.

Unfortunately in those 11 events, Diaz has failed to win any of them.

However, he has finished in the top 10 twice. Diaz had his best finish at the Club Columbia Championships by Servientrega in February, finishing in second place behind Ethan Tracy after losing to him in a playoff.

Two months later he tied Scott Langely for third place at the United Leasing & Finance Championship in Indiana. In addition to his two top 10 finishes, Diaz has also played his way into five finishes in a tournament's top 25.

He was one of four golfers to tie for 13th place at The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic at Sandals Emerald Bay in January with a score of 295.

Diaz Ranks 11th on the 2017 Money List, Having Made Over $140,000 This Year. Despite his modest success on the course, Diaz has still managed to do fairly well for himself when it comes to earnings. Headed into the U.S.

Open, Diaz has already pocketed $140,763. That puts him at 11 on the 2017 money list.

For career earnings, Diaz has earned over $370,000 since turning pro in 2009. He is sponsored by Warehouse Services, Inc, Under Armour, Taylor Made, Titleist, Barefoot Resort & Golf, Vittorio Benzi and the Greg Norman Champions Golf Academy.

Diaz Played His First Tournament in His Native Mexico Earlier This Year. One of the highlight's of Diaz's young career came in February of 2017.

Diaz was playing for a spot in the World Golf Championships – Mexico Championship and after losing the first place spot at the Club Columbia Championship, a chance to play back home in Mexico was in jeopardy.

Abraham Ancer, a friend and fellow native of Mexico, was looking to snag that last spot, a spot that was available to them as the top ranked Mexican golfers in the world.

It was close, but Diaz ended up finishing better than his friend, something he had mixed feelings about.

"I told Abe that if he made a run on the front nine, I was going to wait for him with champagne and everything," said Diaz.

"It was a very good relief that I made it, but also I felt bad for Abe because he's one of my best friends. Diaz finished tied for 67th place, shooting a 294.

"I had a lot of fun," he said. "I learned a lot and it's something you're looking to repeat. I want to play against the best in the world.".

Diaz returned to Mexico in late April, where he played in the El Bosque Mexico Championship by Innova. Diaz Graduated From the University of South Carolina-Aiken in 2009.

Diaz was born in 1987 in Veracruz, Mexico. He got into golf playing along side his uncle and cousins. His father had a membership to a club, but didn't play, allowing Diaz to use the membership instead.

In the mid-2000's Diaz moved to the United States to attend the International Junior Golf Academy in Bluffton, South Carolina, just over the bridge from Hilton Head Island.

His play caught the attention of colleges and he was given a scholarship to play golf at the University of South Carolina-Aiken. Diaz graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 2009.

"That was the main goal, to finish university. I never thought about turning pro," Diaz said. "I started playing better and better and better, and the opportunity was there to turn pro and I did.".

Diaz is currently single and resides in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Being an Alternate for a Tournament Requires a lot of Patience and a lot of Waiting.

This the first time Diaz has been an alternate for a tournament and it's a role that he's uniquely well-suited for.

"I'll get up around 4:30, have breakfast, stretch out, get ready to go to the first tee," Diaz said. "Then, there's a time in between waves where I can go back in and rest, and then wait again.".

According to the instructions he's been given by the USGA, Diaz is to be ready to play when the first group comes up to tee off, which is at 6:45 a.m.

If Mickelson doesn't make it, or one of the other 154 golfers in the field can't play for some reason, whether it's injury, illness or something else, Diaz gets the call.

Despite what he's heard and read, Diaz says he still thinks Mickelson is coming. "I have to have my mindset as if he's playing," Diaz told the New York Post.

"I'm not counting on him not being in the field. I'm counting on him to be here.".

Whether he plays or not, Diaz is thrilled to be in Wisconsin for the tournament, telling the Post that he's "super-excited. This is my first major. It's like walking into Disney when I was 12 years old.".

Don't Fail- How To Play Pikachu (And Not Embarrass Yourself) - Duration: 2:55.

Thunder is a powerful move when used correctly

But often too many people misuse it

Leaving them vulnerable

When timed like this, it can launch opponents

Which can be used for KOs and combos

It will take some practice but can also be used in meteor smashes

Just make sure they touch the cloud

Consecutive use is also deadly

When in close proximity to a rival, don't use it

This will simply leave you vulnerable to attack

It can however be used to block opponents

And as a stop so as to not be forced to grab the ledge

Which can set you up for a better position

Used in the air it can protect against aerials

And launch your opponent

An under used, under rated move

It can help tremendously when edge guarding

And to cover your dash attacks/grabs

It is used in this instance to help recover

And avoid being guarded

Which results in better positioning

I can safely sit here and yet guard very well

Which is a huge plus with this move

Here it is used to protect my dash attack

And set me up to do more damage and attacks

If an opponent shields the thunder jolt, simply grab them

Another great move that people mess up so badly

If used incorrectly, it can just leave you vulnerable

Watch how badly it positions me now

Boom- he grabs me and opens it up for more attacks

But here I angle it into the stage, allowing for a fast recovery

And there it is again

You can play mind games if you are careful

Which confuse your opponent

Used as an attack, it gives a slight stun

Enabling you to recover and also do damage

I get distance and then I can attack once more safely

Pikachu can do great combos

At high percentages, using up-grab + thunder almost always works

Up tilt and up smash combo into each other greatly, and can be topped off with thunder

Here is the aforementioned combo move

Aerials can also work well for keeping up a combo

It really depends on the situation and the fighter, though

To sum up, Pikachu is a light fighter

Who works best when used aggressively, but intelligently

When he uses his combos well, and combines them with epic ledge guarding skills

Like thunder and thunder jolt

He is a tough little guy to beat

While he is an easy character to learn and often used by beginners

He can be mastered with time and practice to be a nightmare

I hope you enjoyed the video and learned something useful from it

CPP and your pension - Duration: 23:35.

Hi everyone my name is Angie Sharma Lowe. I'm a pension specialist here at Teachers'

and joining me today is my colleague Stephane Cloutier. Welcome. A moment ago we had

some technical difficulties but that's live facebook. So at the end of April we

posted this on Facebook and we received a lot of great feedback in questions and

since then we received many emails yesterday and today all about CPP so

tonight we're going to speak about some of those insightful Facebook posts

we're going to talk about CPP how it affects your pension and we're going to

try and answer as many of those emails as we can today.

S: And together we are

going to provide you with an overview how it works and what to expect along

the way if you have any questions please post them to the comment section below

and we will do our best to answer them during today's broadcast. However if we

can't get to them right away we will point you in the right direction later.

So Angie can you tell us how CPP and your teachers pension plan work

together? Is my pension really going to go down?

Well Stephane, the simple answer to that is yes your pension will go down

but let me tell you a story as to why that's going to occur. So like all major

Ontario pension plans the teachers pension plan is integrated with the CPP

so the pension plan pays a supplementary bridge benefit on top of your

annual lifetime pension and we pay that to you until you turn 65 and that's

because at age 65 you qualify for an unreduced pension so at the age of 65

when you're able to collect the unreduced CPP pension your bridge

benefit is going to end and this is going to mean a decrease to your pension

now this occurs the month following your 65th birthday and this reduction happens

to all members collecting a teacher's pension in Ontario at the age of 65

that's all members Stephane. There's always a slight exception to every rule

those that are collecting a CPP disability pension they experience the

reduction to their pension immediately so a side note if you begin to receive a

CPP disability pension at any point while collecting a

pension before you turn 65 please give us a call to pension plan we want to

point in the right direction. Now I'm sure everybody's wondering Stephane, how

do we find out what this bridge benefit is? So if you want to find out what your

own specific bridge benefit is and you're not quite 65 you check out your

online pension calculator so where you can see the CPP bridge benefit it's

listed there as a percentage and it's listed there as a CPP adjustment.

you'll find that towards the bottom of the page for those who have already

retired you can view this amount on your recent

retired member statement or by just signing again to your online teacher's

account where you'll see the information there as an amount. Members often

asked us why does this happen to my pension?

absolutely Stefane why why is this happening to the pension is a question

that we get a lot from our members and this is actually being shouted out to

Sandra and Deb who asked us this question through email and through

Facebook so while you're contributing to CPP you're paying a reduced or a

discounted contribution rate to the pension plan and this happens throughout

your entire teaching career so because you're granted this discount for the

greater part of your career at age 65 and that's remember that's when you

qualify for that unreduced CPP pension a reduction is applied to in order to

recoup or make up for that discounted contribution rate you were experiencing

throughout your working years so let me tell you a really quick story Stephane

CPP it was introduced in 1966 and CPP was a new pension plan it was designed

to augment your income for all working Canadians during the retirement years

but this came at a cost to your paycheck I just want to mention that the current

CPP contribution rate is four point nine five percent of your gross income that's

right Stephane so not only does a member have to pay for their teachers

pension contributions they now have this other hefty deduction to their take-home

income so the plan sponsors got together that's the Ontario Teachers Federation

and the Ontario government and they wanted to help members keep more money

in their pocket so they created a tiered contribution rate system and this is

something that the membership did vote in favor of so Stephane why do you

take a moment and explain how that tiered contribution system works

so basically if you look at the graph just behind me so you'll see that the year maximum pensionable earnings is

$55,300

thousand eight seventeen so up till that time in the year until you reach that

income you're paying into CPP but you're also paying a discounted rate to your

Ontario teachers pension plan or 11.5% once you've reached at fifty five

thousand three hundred and that may be a different time during the year depending

on your pay grade that's where the CPP contribution stop

and you might have seen this on your paycheck as an increase but this is also

the time where the discounted rate of 11.5% stop and then basically it goes up

to the actual rate of contributions of thirteen point one you also may note

that you no longer continue to implement insurance so really what you want to say

with this is that once you reach that maximum that $55,300

for 2017 what happens is that your net pay goes up

because they are less reduction okay so for those members collecting a pension

yeah a different topic absolutely we often get asked when and how will I be

notified that my pension is changing? I can answer that Stephane. So within the

months that you turn 65 you're going to get a letter from the teachers pension

plan letting you know that your bridge benefit is ending and this letter is

going to show you your new growth monthly pension

and it's going to outline when this change is going to take effect so as a

reminder this change will take effect the month following your 65th birthday

and within the last week of that month we're going to send you a deposit advice

and it's going to detail your new net monthly amount you can also sign into

your online teachers pension account to view those details. so let's go over some

basics about collecting CPP okay so you can start collecting an unreduced cpp

retirement pension as early as the age of 65 you can also start collecting it

early at the age of sixty but they will apply an early reduction just like here

at the pension plan you can also think about collecting it past 65 as late as

70 with an increase a lot of members collected so anytime in between now you

can get a lot more information about your CPP pension including how much

you're going to get at different ages maybe 61 62 63 all the way to 65 and

beyond how and when to apply by contacting service canada and what we're

going to do is we're going to put the information on how to contact service

canada in the comment section below okay so now that we touch on some CPP

basics let's now look at how all of the pension incomes work together

for a typical member no problem Stefane okay so I want to call your attention to

this chart over here so this is a payment stream for a typical member so

we have a member who starts collecting their pension at the age of 59 and from

59 all the way to 65 they're collecting their annual lifetime pension

and their bridge benefit now along the way different things happen and

different decisions can be made you can start to collect your CPP as early as

the age of 60 and you'll be able to collect your lifetime pension your

bridge benefits and your CCP at the same time and only at the age of 65 will that

bridge benefit end okay and then again as a reminder affect all members

collecting a pension from the Ontario teacher

pension plan at the age of 65 now Stephane something else special happens at the

age of 65 all Canadian residents are entitled to old age security on some

level ok so what happens is your bridge benefit end but your old age security

kicks in and that often softens the blow of receiving that decrease to your

pension at the age of 65 then you can find out more information about your old

age security when you're contacting service canada with regards to your CPP we've

also got the number here but remember it comes in the comment section below

so I just like to know that for a typical member the amount that is

deducted from your teachers pension or basically when the bridge ends is

actually less than what you'll get from CPP at 65 and even at 60 absolutely so

there is no situation no matter when you start your CPP pension or when the

bridge end there is no situation while you'll experience a large decrease in

your total income because as you said old age security comes in and often

softens the blow you basically either remain at the same income level maybe

get a little bit more when you start at 60 and obviously you're going to be

experiencing an increase in income when you're if you wait for your old age

security just start at 65 so don't be afraid you're not going to be

experiencing any large or any sort of decrease in your total income that is

right absolutely good points Stephane we also get asked and that's a very very

common question when should I take my CPP 60 versus 65 please help absolutely

Well Stephane today we were extremely excited because we had over 20 emails

speaking to this specific question so it's on everybody's mind very hot topic

so the answer that we have to this question is simple we actually have to

leave this decision the heavy lifting to you for this very personal decision

because at the end of the day you have to consider your own personal financial

picture when deciding what's your best opportunity to take CPP okay

but can you give us some ideas why would someone take their CPP pension early at

sixty for example so if your expenses are going to be high during your early

retirement years so maybe you have a mortgage your kids are still in school

you're reducing debt or maybe you know what you don't have longevity in your

family a lot of people consider collecting pension from the CPP early

okay so that's one of those weevil reasons from our members that we hear

and financially it seems to make sense in that case okay so by collecting your

CPP retirement pension early what happens is that you get a smaller CPP

pension but potentially for a longer time because you start it early right

okay okay so now the other end of the spectrum so why would someone wait till

later let's say age 65 to start their CPP pension well you know what

it's the opposite Stephane if your expenses are going to be higher later on in

retirement by waiting into 65 you're going to get more money each month when

you total up all of those income sources and that's life of CPP your OAS

and that annual lifetime pension these three pieces here now this is really

good for a lot of members who are maybe they give a traveling later traveling is

expensive medical benefits they seem to become larger as we get older and you

know a lot of people are thinking about possible retirement living options for

themselves so if you also have longevity in your family and if you're planning on

living a really long time a lot of our members actually tend to collect CPP a

little bit later on and Joan Jamison noted on Facebook that she plans to live

a really long time and she's one of the people that is choosing to take CPP at the

age of 65 so Joan I'll let you know our oldest member collecting a pension right

now is 109 again something a little bit different so Sharon asked us on Facebook

what about the tax implications of receiving all these different pensions

so you know what Sharon that's a really important question and we also recognize

Jen and Rob they also brought this question forward so what I'm gonna do is

I'm going to use these boxes to illustrate okay so we've got

or annual lifetime pension we've got your CPP and we've got your old age

security so these three are all three different sources of your income so

they're all taxed at a lower tax rate as you can see here

okay now OAS and CPP are not taxed at source but if you total up individually

all of these are being taxed at a lower rate we also have to consider employment

opportunities elsewhere if you're working elsewhere if you've got other

different kinds of income they're all being taxed a lower rate because none of

these organizations speak to each other in terms of taxes but when you file your

income taxes you have to stack all of your taxable sources of income imagine

you're working income here as well and you might find yourself in a higher tax

bracket as you can see at the end of the year you'll likely have to pay more

income taxes, Stephane. so I just want to mention that if that the case well as a

courtesy we can deduct more types of that source here that teachers use the

easiest way for you to do this is just by logging into your online teachers

account and adjusting or increasing there you can also call us so we can

increase your taxes as well absolutely now on Facebook another member suggested

that we should sit down with a membership sit down with a trusted

financial advisor when deciding about when to take CPP the tax implication how

to maximize your pension for portfolio moving forward and you know what on

behalf of the pension plan we totally agree and that's great advice from

Margret Ann so I think it's time that we turn it over to my colleague Zena who is

joining us today and we can take some live questions hi everyone hi sorry

Stefane has something to say? yeah just before we actually takes the you know

address some of the hundreds of questions that were asked I just want

to mention a question that is asked often of us and how much will I get from

old age security and how much will I get from CPP you know that's a great

question Stefan so I did a little research earlier today

and the maximum CPP that's payable to a member unreduced at sixty-five is one

thousand $114 okay if you decide you're going to

take it early okay you decide to take it the age of 60 because that seems to

make sense for your financial position it's it indicates that at age 60 it's

just over seven hundred and thirteen dollars per month if you take the

maximum for at the maximum amount now for old age security okay for 2017 the

maximum amount payable is five hundred and seventy eight dollars and seventy

three cents now remember the right place to get all of this information all the

details is to sign in to the Service Canada website and start taking a look

around there see what fits your portfolio excellent question

that's great actually we got a question from Doug Marilyn Alda and a few other members

who ask how much will my pension decreased by or be clawed back

by at the age of 65 and is it the same amount for everyone so that's a really

great question so the answer to that question is at age 65 the deduction will

definitely happen okay and it's for all teachers in Ontario but the amount is

not the same for each person it's unique to each person in the pension plan so as

Stephane mentioned earlier you can sign in to your online pension account to

take a look at your CPP adjustment that's an indication of what the bridge

benefit that's going to be applied when you turn 65 okay or you can take a look

at your retired members statement we actually outlined the physical amount

there nowthe range is anywhere between 13 to 17 percent for typical

members just to give you an idea where you're going to land with it but that's

exactly how we'll work at 65 so thank you so much what a great questions yes

you have plenty of them actually we just we just had a question come in from Gerard

who is asking how long can you wait for both OAS and CPP and are there

advantages to waiting so good question so for CPP you can start as early as the

age of 60 okay unreduced is 65 and the latest you can take it is

the age of 70 now for old age security I know you can only start it as early as

the age of 65 but can you defer taking it I'm not entirely sure so my

suggestion is you contact service Canada to find out what the answer to that

question is and you know what feel free to contact us through email if you kind

of find out the answer we're happy to share that with our members okay thanks

Angie no problem how we had a question for Lydia as well and she wanted to know

that was her understanding that pensions were not affected by

collecting CPP until after the age of 65 is her understanding accurate yes so

basically no matter when you start your the CPP early it could be 61 62 63 the

bridge will only stop or end at 65 so there is no impact to your Ontario

teachers pension as to when you start your CPP pension if you started early

for example so you're absolutely right great absolutely excellent

okay you ready for one more absolutely so we had canva and actually a few

others asked now that I'm reaching the age of 65 when and how should I apply

for CPP ?

okay all right I'll take this one so we got a lot of great questions on how to

apply for CPP so what I did a little bit immediately before this broadcast I

actually took a look at what was going on on the Service Canada website so I

could give you a start on how this would work so to apply for your Canada pension

retirement pension online you have to have a my service canada account and

this is where you would actually apply and submit the application you can apply

a maximum of 12 months before the date you want your pension to start no

earlier than that so now is the time for you to contact service canada to find

out what your next steps are to make sure you get that CPP pension started

exactly when it meets your needs Thank You Angie all right um moving

on so Deborah has a question Deborah said I

am already receiving CPP disability which is interesting and have

been since before retiring in June of 2015

okay so she understands that at the time she retired from teachers pension her

pension was already reduced because of this is this correct?

absolutely so if you're collecting and a

disability pension from the Canada Pension Plan one of the exceptions to the age 65

rule is that we will reduce your pension immediately so you're absolutely correct

Deborah I just want to mention again that if you do start collecting a CPP

disability pension at any point before 65 it's important that you give us a

call excellent thanks Zena thank you my

pleasure okay actually we had a question from Louise and I think it's another

good example of so when you can contact service canada Louise was asking

she's already applied for CPP to start at the age of 60 and she has

changed her mind or maybe will be changing her mind she's

wondering if the application can be recalled? you know what

that's a great question this is this is a great example

of you know weighing your options in deciding especially after doing some

more research what is the best time for you to collect a CPP so if you're really

thinking about pulling that application back I agree zina you should be

contacting service Canada I'm sure they'll be able to help you with that

excellent we had also previously received a question from Rory who was

asking do I need to do anything because I have chosen to receive my CPP at the

age of 60 oh I like this question you know what Roy the question is

you don't have to do anything we're going to do it all for you so now that

you're collecting your pension at CPP no worries you'll continue to collect your

annual lifetime pension your bridge benefit and your CPP pension and at age

65 we're going to do all the work we're going to reduce your pension and we're

going to send you a letter letting you know that that's the case there's

nothing you have to do excellent question right thank you yeah thank you

for one more sure all right so this one comes to us from Rick okay

and Rick wants to know if a member delays applying for CPP until the age of 70 how

is the how is their ontario teachers pension impacted by this if at all in

the years between the ages of 65 and 70 that was a great question for Angie

okay so Rick regardless when you decide to collect your CPP whether it's at age

60 65 or 70 or any time in the pension plan will remove that bridge

benefit at 65 and 65 only okay so that's how it works and then of course the OAS

kicks in so regardless of when you collect your CPP nothing's going to

happen to your pension between 65 and 70 we just reduced that bridge benefit off

the top at 65 okay excellent so our last question for tonight because a lot of

times is west from Asia Asia ah she actually lives in Europe oh and is no

longer a canadian resident and she wants to know how does this affect receiving

her CPP and her OTPP pension well you know what Asia as I said earlier today I

was looking on the website related to CPP and there was some mention about

collecting your CPP and OAS benefits in another country so it sounds like there

might be a mechanism to do that this is again where you should contact service

Canada find out what the options are if it's got some tax treaties and some a

ways to collect the funds maybe even the local dollar and there's your answer

excellent excellent well I want to thank you all for joining us tonight and I

want to thank the Zena and Stephane for being here it's been a great time if you

have any questions post them in the questions set in the comment section

below join us on Pinterest we've got some great information on my OTP p101

take a look on your online teachers pension account and as always if you

have a question feel free to give us a call thank you so much it's been a

pleasure another good night

David Bailey: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Capitol police officer David Bailey, one of the officers who risked his life saving members of Congress during a shooting at a baseball practice in Alexandria, Va. , was wounded and rushed to Washington MedStar Hospital Wednesday morning.

Bailey was one of five people shot in the attack that sources are saying was "deliberate", and has been hailed a hero for his bravery.

The other four victims include House Republican Steve Scalise, fellow Capitol Police officer Crystal Griner, former congressional staffer Matt Mika, and staffer Zach Barth. Here's what we know so far about David Bailey:.

He Has Worked as a Federal Police Officer for Over 9 Years. According to his LinkedIn page, Bailey, 32, has been working as a United States Capitol Police Officer for over 9 years.

His page states that as a Capitol Officer, he is, "Responsible for the protection of Members of Congress, Officers of Congress, and their families as expanded by statute to the entire United States, its territories and possessions, and the District of Columbia." As part of his job, Bailey also prevents, detects, and investigates criminal acts and enforces traffic regulations.

His page reveals that he was an administrator at the US Fish and Wildlife Service in Falls Church, Virginia, from 2005 to 2008. He Was Praised by Rep. Paul Ryan for His Heroic Actions.

Members of the House convened late Wednesday morning in the wake of the attack. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan took the floor to praise the heroic efforts of Crystal Griner and David Bailey, the two officers wounded in the shooting.

"We are, as ever, awed by the tremendous bravery of the Capitol Police," Ryan said. He added on that he spoke to both officers this morning. "I expressed our profound gratitude to them.

It is clear to me, based on various eyewitness accounts that without these two heroes — Agent Bailey and Agent Griner — many lives would have been lost.".

Rand Paul spoke to CNN later, he seconded Ryan's sentiments, saying, "Our lives were saved by the Capitol Police. Had they not been there I think it would have been a massacre. The field, I mean, was basically a killing field.".

According to USA Today, Bailey and Griner were present at the baseball field because of Scalise's role in House leadership– typically, security is not required of "rake-and-file" Congress members. He Is a Graduate of North Carolina Central University.

Bailey graduated from North Carolina Central University in 2007 with a degree in physical education. According to USA Today, the school's yearbook lists him as former president of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and a member of the homecoming royal court.

In a statement obtained by WRAL, NCUU Chancellor Dr. Akinleye spoke about how the school's community has been impacted by the attack.

"We are especially proud of our Eagle hero…who was part of the congressional security detail and bravely put his life on the line to protect and serve the community.

This example of 'Truth and Service' comes as no surprise to his professors who knew him to be an engaged and empathetic student who was committed to excellence," Akinleye said.

Multiple people, including former classmates, have flocked to Twitter to thank Griner and Bailey for their bravery.

He Is In "Good Condition". Capitol Police Chief Matthew Verderosa said in a news conference Wednesday afternoon that both Bailey and Griner are "in good condition and have not suffered any life-threatening injuries at this point.

In a statement made later on, police said that Griner was in "good condition in the hospital having been shot in the ankle," while Bailey "was treated and released having sustained a minor injury during the incident.

The Shooter, James Hodgkinson, Is Dead. Hodgkinson was identified as the man who opened fire on Wednesday. He was married to a woman named Sue Hodgkinson, but had been living apart from her for several months.

Hodgkinson, 66, was from Belleville, Illinois, and owned a small company called JTH Inspections, which conducted home inspections and mold/air-quality testing.

He was a vocal Bernie supporter, and his Facebook page featured a banner image of Bernie Sanders with a profile picture that boasted Democratic Socialism. Hodgkinson's Facebook page has since been deactivated.

On March 22, Hodgkinson took to Facebook to write a post that read, "Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It's Time to Destroy Trump & Co." In February, he wrote, "Republicans are the Taliban of the USA.".

Hi I'm Tiffany, dispatcher with Hendrix heating. One of my favorite things is to

A video has been uploaded. Yay? - Duration: 4:32.

Sorry for no audio here

Hi everyone, Nathan Ezpyon here.

Sorry about the crappy everything

I'm having techni-

sorry about the shaky camera, too.

I'm whispering because -

I don't need these headphones. -

I'm whispering because it's about 1130 at night,

everyone in the house is asleep

and our walls are VERY thin.

So I am whispering hoping they don't hear me.

So I am having technical difficulties,

I can't line up the audio no matter what I do

and

in the original video

I thought okay maybe in the original video the audio is off or something.

Or maybe something is wrong with it

No, the video itself is FREAKING FINE.

No, the video itself is freaking FINE. It's getting it from video to the premiere pr-whatever

then it doesn't work

it gets messed up and I can't fix it because I do not have the editing [skills]

so I thought alright,

let me just go on my phone, use my phone's camera instead because then at least the video quality is better,

but now my phone's acting up

and I Don't Know what's going on.

So I had some files from a couple days ago

because I was trying to make another video but it wasn't working out

and so, I was like:

Oh let me look at these files really quick

'cause they were taking up a lot of space.

Just let me see them and see if they are worth savaging or not.

Now, I have my phone hooked up to the computer

I can't access anything.

I was able to access something, I was able to pull up a video

and the moment that I stop pulling up that video,

and try to pull up something else everything goes wrong.

Not to mention the fact that my phone has been going wrong for the past few days

(but that's off topic)

Everything is going wrong.

This is a prime example of why you don't do things last minute.

So I apologize for the crappy video

and the screeching[? static] sound

because I also don't know how to take that [all] out.

Because the fans are on in the computer and that is probably what is causing that sound.

*sigh*

It's 1130 at night, and I have to get a video out by tomorrow

at probably-

tomorrow at the very absolute latest,

that will give me time to still

Pack and then Panic and then Pack.

Probably - if I am lucky - 4.

[which is how many hours of sleep I got. Oops]

[I have no clue what I said]

and I still need to sleep,

because I have been trying for an hour to -

*frustration boiling over*

This is not going well.

This is why we don't do things last minute.

Actually I have been doing videos all freaking week,

but the difference was,

I didn't keep any of those videos.

*defeated sigh w/some amusement*

So

I am panicking because

I guess I'm gonna have to do another video [This is it]

and so I have a video I can do [Boring drawing],

I just have to add freaking audio,

and it's going to be choppy as hell [At least it was when editing]

and it's gonna suck and I apologize,

but this is me scrounging up a video

because I said I was gonna put one out.

So I am keeping my word.

And I probably sound very breathy

because I am trying to be quiet,

but be HEARD.

*Frustration (augh)*

*Laugh? Sigh?*

Oh, and by the way

I changed the lighting setup.

[I may or may be losing it at this point.]

So, there's that

Hopefully this video freaking transfers over.

So you have 5 minutes

of me ranting about the fact that I am having technical difficulties.

{Again no idea}

and then you get this little clip of me, up here in this corner

and the rest of it

is just me drawing.

drawing. This stupid - {It's not, is it?} -

diamond thing that I was going to do for a video,

but then decided it was boring as hell.

So you get the boring as hell video with me freaking out,

even though this isn't me freaking out

more frustrated as hell

at the fact that technology is not working with me.

So

*chuckle?*

Thank you for watching

this very unnecessary video

that is just me keeping my word

of putting a video OUT.

Um,

thank you for watching

and this is Nathan Ezpyon

signing off until next time

in which hopefully I get things figured out

and take the time to do things.

So I think I am going to move it so that these videos are just going to be twice a month

(my set schedule for that),

just two videos a month because:

A) I am starting out

B)I have no idea what I am doing

and C) I am probably going to have a crap ton of

techno- technological (and speaking, apparently) problems in the future

so-

This is Nathan Ezpyon signing off, until next time. [With hopefully better videos :D]

Creepypastas With MARKOSIS #13 - Duration: 35:57.

There's a lot of things about me as a person that I'd usually tell people when we first

met, or things that they'd notice when they see me.

None of those things matter though, because regardless if I'm male or female, black or

white, old or young, I'm still going to die.

If I told you that I knew how I got myself in this position, I'd only have half an answer

for you.

Things began simple, as most terrible situations do.

All I needed was a new smartphone.

My job required one, and my old phone had faced an untimely end the weekend prior.

If you have a friend who owns a Saint Bernard puppy, never drop anything on the floor.

It was less than two seconds from the moment when my phone slipped from my pocket and hit

the ground, to the moment when that dog's jaws closed around it.

Things may have been okay if I was a decent sprinter-- or even decent at running for more

than 10 seconds at a time-- but as soon as the dog picked up my phone I had to spend

15 minutes chasing her around the yard.

She was fast and aggressive, and by the time I pried the phone from her mouth it was ruined.

Her teeth had punctured both the screen and back cover.

Glass was shattered and missing in places, and the battery was beyond repair.

My friend offered to replace what her dog had destroyed, but I assured her I could order

a replacement online.

Unfortunately, I happen to use a phone company called TextNow.

They're pretty decent-- even though they use Sprint's cell towers-- and sell smartphones

for amazing prices.

I say unfortunately for the following two reasons; First, amazing prices vary from person

to person, in my financial state that means under $100; Second, my phone was no longer

part of such a great sale.

For an exact replacement of my phone I would have to pay well over what I could afford,

and a minimum of $150 for a phone that would be up to par.

I could have gotten one of their cheaper smartphones, but I'm not great at adapting, and the reviews

I've seen for the cheaper models have always deterred me.

I had overpaid initially for the phone-- spending $300-- but I didn't have the spare change

anymore.

So I went searching, all I needed was an unlocked smartphone that was relatively new.

Then I stumbled upon an offer that seemed too good to be true.

An unlocked iPhone 6S for $120.

It was a bit more than I had hoped to pay, but it was the best thing I could find which

met my requirements.

I'd just have to be wary of what I bought at the grocery store this month.

Apparently my finances were the least of my worries.

The phone was delivered express, and two days later I had installed my SIM card and was

working on personalizing the phone.

It was great, though a noticeable change from the Android devices I was accustomed to.

I had the phone all set and was pleased with myself, then realized it was nearly time for

me to meet a few co-workers for some drinks.

I was collecting my purse when the phone rang.

I wasn't really surprised by it, I was using my original number.

The screen showed the area code to be nearby, and I assumed it was someone I had forgotten

to put in my contacts.

By the time I grabbed the phone from the table I had a voicemail.

I found it slightly unusual, it had only rang once and I'd assumed the person had hung up.

Like any normal person I checked the voicemail to hear the message.

I listened for a moment, but all I heard was silence.

I was about to hang up when I literally jumped in surprise.

Simultaneously there came two sounds.

A loud crash from my phone's speaker, and the sound of something loud hitting the floor

above me.

It made me jump, I mean what are the chances that my upstairs neighbor would drop something

at the same time as the voicemail produced sound?

Not only that, but a strange feeling overcame me as I listened more.

A man yelling in the voicemail, a muffled voice from the apartment above me.

Crashes, bangs, crying.

A high definition version of events played into one ear as the other listened to the

matching low quality noises coming from upstairs.

I wasn't sure what was going on, but I ended the call and deleted the message while my

ceiling shook from heavy footfalls.

I didn't want to hear anymore, the neighbors upstairs got into heated arguments all the

time.

The voicemail was strange, unexplainable, but it was none of my business what my neighbors

were doing.

I went out, and didn't think anything of what had occurred until part way through the evening.

I was sitting at a table sipping a drink when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, checking

the notification revealed that I had another voicemail.

I assumed the music had drowned out the phone ringer.

Everyone had left the table either to dance or get another drink, so I took that moment

to attempt to listen to the voicemail.

There was an odd echo as I answered it, the same song that I could hear in the bar was

playing through the voicemail.

Oddly enough, the voicemail was about a half a second faster than the actual music.

It was as though the room echoed the message instead of it being vice versa.

I heard the glass shatter in my ear at almost the exact time that I saw a man smash a bottle

against his table.

I witnessed, and listened twice over to what happened next.

The yelling between two men, the broken bottle being waved around, bystanders shouting unnecessary

comments.

It didn't take long for the sharp edges of that bottle to end up in someone's flesh,

and that's when my co-workers decided we should exit.

Security was on the two men immediately, but I could smell the copper.

I'd be naive to believe that the victim lived after the glass bottle cut into his throat.

Things can go wrong so quickly, the world is a confusing place.

Arriving back home should have been a relief compared to the possible murder I had just

witnessed.

I was shocked that security didn't stop everyone from leaving the bar, weren't we all witnesses

to a crime?

I didn't want to think about it, but seeing the red and blue lights flashing in front

of my building brought the recent memory flooding back.

They weren't there about the bar incident though.

I was told to go directly to my apartment, and not to worry.

There had been an incident in the building, but the suspect had already been apprehended.

I nodded and went inside.

I was curious about what could have occurred while I was gone, but I wasn't nosey enough

to ask questions.

However, I did look out my window at the array of vehicles.

Maybe I shouldn't have, but I wouldn't be any better off if I hadn't.

I looked away from the window when they brought out the body bag.

Someone was killed in my building.

I had no idea who it might be, it's quite a large building.

If I'm honest, I was wondering if this incident would lower my rent.

Not that I didn't care about a life being taken, but I didn't have any personal attachment

to anyone in the building, so my thoughts ran to the only way that I believed this death

could impact me.

It wasn't until the next morning on my way to work that I realized that keeping my curiosity

to myself was useless.

I stood on the platform waiting for the train to come when my phone rang.

I went to answer the call, but whoever it was had already hung up and left a voicemail.

I was slightly annoyed now, assuming that the phone had been so cheap because of the

temperamental voicemail system.

I listened to the message immediately, I had nothing better to do as I waited for my train.

The first few seconds were quiet, and I stared around at all the other people waiting for

trains.

I made accidental eye contact with a woman standing on the platform across the tracks

from me.

She turned away, but I found myself staring as sudden sound came from my phone.

There was a gasp, and a whimper.

It sounded a bit like crying, and I watched the woman across the tracks wipe at her cheeks.

Am I hearing her?

The question popped into my mind, but it couldn't be true.

I didn't see her holding a phone, and how could I be hearing current things in a voicemail?

Still, I watched and listened.

I wondered what it would mean if I was right about hearing her.

A train horn sounded in the near distance, and the tracks furthest from me began to rattle.

Through the phone I heard what sounded like a sigh of relief, and the oncoming train in

the background.

Then everything seemed to move in slow motion.

The train entered the station, the woman stepped forward, bystanders gasped and screamed, and

through the speaker I heard the sounds of bones being crushed and the rending of limbs

from a body.

The woman had jumped.

I nearly dropped the phone in panic, the voicemail ended as the woman's life did.

Security made everyone leave the building, people had gone insane when she was hit.

Screaming, crying, calling the police, taking pictures.

The place was a flurry of confusion and curiosity.

That was the day I decided to stop listening to the voicemails.

Every time I listened I heard someone die.

By then I'd heard the news of the fatal argument between my upstairs neighbor and his wife,

and my suspicions about the murder at the bar were confirmed.

I had no idea how or why, but something was very wrong with this new phone.

A week and a half.

That's how long it took before I got the notification that my voicemail box was full.

I went through and tried to delete them without having to listen to anything, but I didn't

get the chance.

As soon as I opened the screen displaying the list of voicemails it started.

They all played at once, over each other.

The phone locked and wouldn't allow me to do anything, I couldn't even turn it off.

I stared at the black screen of the phone as the sounds played.

A thunderous sort of sound, almost like an aggressive wind.

Screaming, crying, glass shattering.

There were screams for help, and oh so much terror.

Everyone I heard feared for their lives, and I had no idea what was happening.

There was nothing I could do.

I threw the phone out the window and watched it fall three floors, and then I cried myself

to sleep as the sounds of death replayed in my head.

I woke up in the morning to find the phone-- entirely undamaged-- on my bedside table.

It was opened to the memo app.

No running or hiding.

No breaking or burning.

No throwing or no drowning.

Receive, or Give.

There were no other memos on the phone, and I had never used the app before.

I spent two more days trying to destroy or get rid of the phone, but I woke up each day

with it perfectly intact next to me.

I noticed that the voicemails increased each time I tried to destroy it.

I couldn't handle it, I was going absolutely insane and there wasn't a single person in

the world who would believe that I was hearing people die.

I made a choice that day, a choice to spare myself.

Maybe someone else could handle it, or it could be passed on and on so the burden is

shared.

I sold the phone for $60 online.

I felt awful taking the money, but I didn't want any buyers to be too suspicious.

I used the money to get myself a cheaper phone, it just barely worked but it was better than

that cursed thing.

It's been about a week since I sent out the phone to it's new owner.

Today I received a call from an unfamiliar number.

I answered immediately, fearing that the voicemail issue may have stuck with me.

"Hello?"

I questioned my unknown caller.

"Oh, hi!

Sorry, I just got this phone and I got a notification that I received a call from you?"

He sounded nervous, as though he didn't speak on the phone much.

"I don't think I did, I have no idea who you are," I tried to sound nonchalant, but

when he said that he'd just gotten the phone it made me wary.

"Well, I have a voicemail from your number," he replied with confusion.

"Listen to me.

Do not open that voicemail okay?

Never, not even to delete it," I was panicked and probably sounded highly aggressive, but

I couldn't help it.

"What?"

Then I started to cry, because I knew what this meant, "Just please.

Please don't open it."

He sounded absolutely bewildered, but agreed not to open it before ending the call.

That brings me to where I am now.

I'm not sure how long I have.

Maybe a week if the new owner ignores every voicemail until the inbox is full.

Maybe longer if he listens to all but mine.

Maybe no time at all before curiosity gets the better of that stranger and he listens

to the voicemail from my number.

Regardless, I'm going to die.

As passive and unassuming as I've been my whole life, it hasn't made a difference.

Even being nothing but a bystander can make life hell.

So before I'm gone I wanted to stop standing by and attempt to change things.

Please, for the sake of at least your own sanity, if it seems too good to be true then

it is.

The most convenient thing is not always the best choice, learn from my mistake.

When I was young, my parents and I lived in the Alaskan Mountains.

Not the middle of nowhere; we weren't hermits or something like that, but it was definitely

out there a ways.

It's an area outside of Anchorage called Eagle River.

My parents rented a two-story house from a nice elderly man, who owned a lot of properties

and that was how he made his living.

The great thing about living out in the 'boonies' is that you don't have all the city annoyances

like tons of noise or lights shining in your bedroom, and as far as petty crime does, I'd

say there's less of it.

Then again, I was so young at this point I had no awareness about that sort of thing.

My bedroom was on the second floor like all the others for the house.

I had two windows: one to the right of my bed and another across the foot of my bed

that I could see straight out of if I sat up in bed.

Typically, there was nothing to see but mountainous terrain and big trees.

I was too small back then to do much more than reach the windowsill to peek out anyway.

One night, something strange happened.

It was in the winter, sometime into the dead of night when something woke me up but I'm

still not sure what it was.

All I know is that I felt uneasy, like there were a set of eyes on me.

This was in the middle of winter, and the moon must have been full because when I looked

out that far window past the foot of my bed the forest was bright with the reflection

of the moonlight on the snow.

I only say that so it makes sense for this: when I looked to the window, I didn't just

see the trees and snow.

There was something there, pressed against the glass and looking inside.

A second story window.

I stared at it and even though I couldn't see anything but its silhouette, I could feel

it staring back at me.

Then there was movement, not from the shape, but just below it at the windowsill.

I could see claws—almost like talons, creeping under the window and pushing it up—prying

the window open.

Now, being a little girl, I knew how to get my parents running from their room down the

hall.

I was –terrified- and took a huge gasp of air to let out the loudest scream I could

manage.

Except nothing happened.

I could feel the air leaving me, my throat shaking with the force of my scream, but it

was like someone had hit the mute button on me alone.

I tried again, a deep breath, a scream loud and shrill enough to break glass the way little

girls are truly capable of, but still nothing.

Another try, as the thing finished opening the window and began to crawl inside, still

nothing but the quiet sound of air leaving me like a long sigh.

The creature came through the window and onto the floor.

Its skin was black and grey, stretched thin over its bones which you could see due to

how thin it was.

Had it stood upright, I think it would have been tall, but it walked on its talon-tipped

covered hands and deformed, animal like hind legs.

The door to my room stood between the end of my bed and that thing, to the left.

I didn't dare make a dash for it, so I did the only other thing I could think of—I

hid under the covers.

Pulling them over my head, I held as still as possible and nearly didn't breathe, as

if all of that would somehow make me invisible.

Kid logic, you know.

I could feel the thing moving through my bedroom and along the right side of my bed.

It was slow, but its movements were sure and fluid like a tiger or some other kind of large

cat.

I think it stood upright, at least for a moment, because I saw a shape move over me.

It was so close to the blanket I hid under that the cloth moved with its breath.

It held its face close to mine, like it would be staring into my eyes if not for the blanket.

Then it just… drew away.

Back around my bed the way it had come where I couldn't hear it moving anymore.

Still, I didn't dare peek out from under the covers.

I didn't move, I didn't make a sound.

I don't know how long I stayed like that, listening to the silence, but against all

logic I did eventually fall asleep again.

I woke up in the morning and nothing immediately seemed out of place.

My window was shut and I told myself I'd just had a very realistic, scary nightmare.

I was at the age where I was still afraid of the dark and of open closets, after all.

I got dressed and went downstairs.

At the foot of the stairwell was my mother, but she wasn't alone.

A police officer was with her, an open notebook in hand.

My mom explained to me that during the night, someone had broken into the house.

Tey made a mess in our den.

Things were tipped over, strewn about or just plain broken.

There was only one thing missing.

parents were both military, and at the time had recently returned from a deployment to

Saudi Arabia where I think they were part of early-ish/mid operation Southern Watch.

Mydad always liked to get me gifts and souvenirs while he was away, and this time he had gotten

me three things: a jewelry box that required a small puzzle to open, a gold ring, a gold

necklace and pendant with my name in English on one side and Arabic on the other, and a

small bottle of arranged sand.

The box had been in the den on a shelf because I was a bit of a tomboy and they'd knew I'd

want it in good shape later, so they wanted to keep it nice.

The ring and necklace were inside it because I never wore jewelry, and the bottle was in

there because, of course, when I was small I didn't understand that sand moves when you

mess with a bottle of it over and over.

I had messed up the pattern of it pretty bad, but they weren't upset.

The design of the sand had originally, I think, been a camel or some sort of animal, but after

I more or less ruined it, it didn't look like much more than a vaguely animalistic blob.

That bottle of sand was the only thing missing from the entire house.

No electronics, no jewelry, none of my dads hunting gear.

Ridiculous as it seemed, I told her about the monster I'd seen the night before.

At that time, I'd said it was a crocodile that crawled into my bedroom because I had

no other way to describe what I'd seen.

I can now, but not then.

She and the officer both listened patiently, but even then I could tell they didn't believe

a word.

Whenever I went outside to play after this incident, I'd try to stay away from the side

of the house my far bedroom window was on, as if I'd turn the corner one day and that

thing would be clinging to the side of the house, looking in my window.

It never was, of course, but I was still afraid.

It's one of the few memories I have from my childhood that I can remember so crystal

clear.

The thing never showed up again, but I still can't help but check that all my windows

are locked before bed every night, and can never manage to sleep next to one that isn't

at least covered with blinds or curtains.

One thing still sticks out for me and has kept the memory to clear.

Since that night, I've never been able to scream.

I can yell and shout, sure, but no matter what I try, anytime I try to scream it's

only that press of air, just like in my room that night.

I've never had what people might call 'supernatural' experiences, except for this one time.

Maybe it was just a nightmare and a coincidence with a really weird thief breaking into our

house.

Drugs, maybe.

Whatever it was, it sticks with me even now.

I generally love thunderstorms.

There's just something cathartic about listening to the pattering rain and rumbling thunder

while searching the sky for a light show.

That's exactly what I was doing when this story started: sitting on my front porch,

all alone, just quietly enjoying the storm.

It was getting late.

There was just enough natural light in the sky for me to make out the dark clouds coasting

by overhead in between flashes of white.

I was playing the game many kids play during nights like these: watching for lightning,

then counting the Mississippis until the thunder roared.

It was a simple thing to pass the time that also gave me an idea of how far away the storm

was from where I sat.

I had just lifted my beer to my mouth when I saw the flash in the sky.

I counted in my head.

"One Mississippi, two Mississippi..."

The roar that followed, so loud it seemed to vibrate the air around me, was definitely

not thunder.

As gooseflesh prickled it's way up my skin and the hair on the back of my neck stood

on end, I strained my ears for a hint of what I had just heard.

The rumble of thunder finally followed, confirming my unease, as I wracked my brain for any wildlife

in the area that could've made such a sound.

Couldn't have been a bear, wasn't shrill enough for a mountain lion.

What the hell was that then?

What little light remained had long since left and I sat staring off into the darkness

like a madman.

Shaking my head and chuckling at myself, my attempt to right my current state, I gathered

up my beers and headed inside, making doubly sure to lock the door behind me.

Yeah, yeah.

Maybe I was being a scaredy cat, but I wasn't about to make rookie mistakes.

Feeling a little better in the safety of my home, I polished off the remaining beer and

wasted some time channel surfing.

After a couple cheesy sitcoms, I'd all but forgotten the strange noise by the time I

headed for bed.

It didn't take long for me to drift off into dreamland, and not a whole lot longer for

that false sense of security to be shattered.

I woke up in pitch darkness to the sound of something like hammering.

A steady rhythmic knock against wood followed by a dragging noise that was almost covered

up by the patter of rain on the roof.

I sat up in bed shaking the sleep from mind and trying to zero in on where the noise was

coming from exactly, the storm didn't help as lightning lit up my room like a flash bulb

and a roll of thunder shortly followed.

I swung my legs from bed with a groan as the knocking sound continued.

My head ached - too many beers and too little water before bed - and it pulsed with each

beat of the noise.

I went to flick on the bedroom light but as pulled the small chain of the lamp next to

my bed the bulb refused to come to life.

I tugged on the chain twice more as if it was going to make a difference - my power

was out.

I slipped on my jeans and stumbled half blind out into the hallway, looking for the source

of the noise.

I wondered briefly if it could be someone knocking at the door but that wasn't quite

the right noise.

It was two perfectly timed, too constant.

You could count beats in between each knock.

One Mississippi, two Mississippi.

Besides it wasn't coming from the front door.

Lightning briefly gave me a clearer view of what was around me as I stepped into the living

room.

Then came crack and growl of thunder loud enough to shake the windows and make my heart

skip a beat in my chest.

As the thunder faded something else rose from behind it.

Something guttural and animal yet holding just a hint of all too human viciousness.

My heart, which had so recently startled itself into a stop with the thunder, now attempted

to pound its way out my chest as the horrible noise that was most certainly not thunder

faded back into the sound of rhythmic well timed knocks.

I stood frozen behind my couch and listened, my ears finally pin-pointing the direction

of the sound as it moved from the north wall to around the side of the house.

It was clearly outside - whatever it was - and it was moving around my house.

The noise doubled back towards the front door as if changed its mind about the best direction

to go.

My eyes followed the direction of the noise as it steadily (one Mississippi, two Mississippi)

moved towards the front windows with each knock.

It stopped making the knocking noise as it reached the glass and I ducked down behind

the couch and outside of the line of sight of whatever was now standing in front of my

window.

I waited, listening to my own ragged breaths and the sound of the rain.

The desperately curious urge to peek over the couch towards the window growing stronger.

Slowly and steadily I made myself look, against all sense and better judgement.

Two blazing orange pinpoints of light peered back at me through the window.

They were deep set in a hulking dark frame that made me feel small at the sight of it.

I saw it press clawed hands against the glass and heard (or imagined) the sound of its nails

scraping over the window.

"Well, shit," I muttered, ducking back behind the couch.

What the hell was that?

Some demon-monster thing was outside my window.

My mind pedaled desperately for footing.

Demon-monsters are real and there is one outside my window.

Wait, no.

Monsters aren't real.

I tried to steady my breath.

I must have imagined it, that was the only explanation.

Monsters aren't real, and what I had seen was probably just a tree outside my window.

Except I don't have trees outside my window.

I must have imagined it though.

I would look again, and I'd realize exactly what silly thing I had seen that made me think

of a demon.

I took a deep breath, and peeked over the edge of the couch.

Nothing.

I breathed a sigh of relief, sinking back down against the couch.

God, I should stop drinking.

And then.

Knock.

One Mississippi, two Mississippi, I counted automatically.

Knock.

One Mississippi, two Mississippi.

Knock.

It sounded like it came from upstairs.

It was inside the house!

Knock.

Was it in the attic?

Knock.

My heart was pounding in my chest again.

Knock.

It must be a leak, I reasoned.

The house is old.

Knock.

I should go check.

Knock.

It could do some serious damage.

Knock.

Of course that was just water dripping, that made sense.

Knock.

Dripping on metal, or plastic.

Knock.

I didn't want to.

I knew I was being silly.

But I could just wait until morning to check, though.

No, I told myself, you're not gonna be scared of an imaginary monster.

Go check what's in the attic.

Knock.

Ok, I'm gonna check.

I started walking towards the stairs.

I paused at the foot of the attic stairs, staring up into the darkness.

I held my breath, waiting, listening.

Knock.

One Mississippi, two Mississippi.

Knock.

One Mississippi, two Mississippi.

I swallowed the lump that was forming in my throat and took a deep breath.

The attic door was still shut.

Presumably, whatever was up there was trapped behind it, at least for now.

My house is old, and the attic door tends to stick, especially when it's raining.

I slipped my sneakers and tied them tightly.

I ducked back into my bedroom, counting in my head as I dug out my flashlight.

One Mississippi, two Mississippi.

Knock.

One Mississippi, two Mississippi.

Knock.

One Mississippi, two Mississippi.

Knock.

I grabbed the flashlight, flipped it on, and raced back into the hall, my heart pounding.

The knocking on the attic door was getting louder.

One Mississippi.

Knock.

One Mississippi.

Knock.

It was also getting more frequent.

Before I could lose my nerve, I climbed the creaking attic stairs and stood on the other

side of the door.

"Who's in there?"

I demanded, trying to keep my voice steady and even.

For a brief instant, everything fell deathly quiet.

The only sound was the steady patter of rain against the windows.

I held my breath, straining to hear anything from the other side of the attic door.

The knocking began again, but this time, there was no break between knocks.

It was a loud, panicky sound, the sound of someone frantically banging on the door.

The door shook with the force of it.

I took a step back, nearly tumbling backwards down the stairs.

I gripped the railing as the attic door continued to shake in its hinges.

As suddenly as the pounding had started, it stopped.

I watched the door, counting as I listened.

One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi, four Mississippi.

If only there was a way for me to see what was on the other side of the attic door without

actually opening it.

I leaned down, kneeling on the landing, and shone my flashlight at the inch-high gap between

the bottom of the door and the jamb.

I pressed my cheek against the floor and screamed.

A bright orange eye looked out from under the door.

It was huge, the size of a ping-pong ball, and its pupil was slitted sideways, like a

goat's eye.

A thin grayish finger poked out from under the door, sliding towards me across the floor.

I ran.

I bolted down the stairs, screaming.

In my panic, I left my flashlight outside the attic door.

I scrambled down a second flight of stairs, nearly blind with panic.

Oh God, what was in my attic?

How had it gotten in?

I burst out of my front door and onto my lawn.

The icy cold rain stung my skin, but I barely noticed it.

I stopped short when I saw the crumpled remnants of my car in the driveway.

I blinked, trying to convince myself that the rain was messing with my vision or playing

a trick on my eyes.

It looked like something had stepped on my car.

Thunder boomed and lightning flashed, and I saw what looked like an enormous pair of

orange eyes floating above my house.

Whatever it was, I didn't want to get a good look at it.

I darted back inside, slamming the door behind me and fumbling with the locks.

Something was in my attic, but something far worse was in my yard.

Panicked breathing and shock can only last for so long before the body acclimates to

terror.

This fear had permeated every cell of my body until my heart pumped fear to extremities

made from fear.

Slowly, but surely, coherent thoughts began to trickle into the forefront of my mind.

Images of large orange hircine eyes shifted to questions that had no answers.

Questions are good.

A mind that is asking questions is ready to take action.

With my back against the front door I slid to the floor and buried my face in my hands.

Lightning flashed suddenly and illuminated the room in front of me.

I immediately began counting.

One Mississippi...

Two Mississippi...

Three Mississippi…

There was a loud crash upstairs that sounded like wood splintering under pressure.

Heavy footfalls clamored down the attic stairs and came to a sudden stop in the hallway above

me.

The door behind me rattled and whined as something behind it shook and pushed it with immense

strength.

Then the thunder crashed again.

This time it rattled the windows and seemed to reverberate through the whole house.

As I jumped to my feet to move away from the door I couldn't help but take notice of the

man standing at the top of the stairs.

My eyes had long since become accustomed to the light and there in the darkness stood

a man.

A man with what appeared to be large hircine eyes and spiraled black horns.

In his left hand he held what looked like a giant wooden mallet.

He took a single step down the hardwood steps and his footfall clacked against the stair

as if his feet were hooves.

I couldn't make out much detail below his face as my eyes were transfixed on his.

He moved down the next step slowly as I turned to see the front door flying off the hinges

in an explosion of splinters and shards of oak.

I jumped out of the way as the door struck a far wall and the wind forced the storm through

my front door aggressively.

The man - or whatever it was - continued down the stairs towards me seemingly unphased by

the wind now howling through my house.

I scrambled away on my hands and knees like a toddler chasing their favorite ball and

ended up sliding across the linoleum of the kitchen floor.

I slammed by back against the cabinets and turned to look back towards the scene in the

living room.

The horned man was still coming, swinging his mallet back and forth as he moved down

the stairs one by one.

It struck the walls with an eerie and recognizable cadence.

Knock One Mississippi, two Mississippi

Knock Rain and leaves blew in through the door as

he reached the bottom of the steps and he stopped for a moment to drink in the storm

with outstretched arms.

A formless void of darkness spilled in with the elements from outside and began to caress

the mallet wielding thing standing in my living room.

Lightning flashed and briefly gave the darkness shape.

It looked like a massive hand, its wrist twisting to lovingly caress the fiery eyed thing with

fingertips attached to fingers the size of my body.

The thunder rolled and something old and angry roared right along with it, the horned man

looked in my direction and his eyes burned even brighter - as if he had been renewed

by the touch of the darkness.

It took up its mallet gripping it tightly now in both hands and moved quickly towards

me - like crushing my skull was its only mission in life.

I jumped to my feet and nearly slipped in my attempt to get across the kitchen and into

the hall, the sound of the mallet slamming against the walls as I ran.

The kitchen windows exploded inwards in a shower of glass that I felt sting my skin,

the larger bits lodging themselves in my arm and cutting slashes into my face before I

was able to dive out of the way and crawl my way into the hall.

I practically threw my body into the first open door I saw and slammed the door behind

me.

I ignored the new blood streaking my face and dripping down my arm and off the tips

of my fingers and set to work blocking off the door.

I'd found myself in the guest bedroom so I quickly pushed the small chest of drawers

in front of the door.

I had begun to throw the mattress from the bed against it and start pushing the frame

against the whole mess when the sound of thunder matched perfectly with the sound of the first

strike of its mallet against the door.

The door rattled in its hinges.

I shoved the bed against it, pushing with all my might and ignoring the twinge of pain

racing through my lower back.

I scanned the room, frantically searching for another way out.

Aside from the window at my back, there was nothing.

I counted as I peered out the window, squinting into the darkness in search of the giant I'd

seen earlier.

One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi Thunder rumbled and my bedroom door buckled

as the thing in the hall struck it with the mallet.

I shrieked involuntarily.

A crack ran down the door.

I crouched down behind the nightstand and pressed against it.

I couldn't stop the thing from breaking the door down, but maybe I could prevent it from

getting into my bedroom by creating a barricade.

Deep down, I knew it was a long shot.

I knew that it wouldn't work.

If it could break down the bedroom door, it could get through whatever furniture I piled

in front of it.

One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi This time, there was no thunder to mask the

sound of the mallet hitting the door.

The wood splintered, flying in all directions.

I held up my hands, shielding my face from the flying debris.

I turned and looked out the window again.

I couldn't see the giant.

Maybe I could still hide from it somewhere outside.

Maybe it was as blind in the darkness as I was.

I ran to the window and fumbled with the locks.

Behind me, the bedroom door shattered.

A chunk of wood struck the back of my head so hard I saw stars.

I stumbled, falling against the window hard enough to crack the glass.

I regained my footing and turned.

The horned man knocked the furniture aside with ease.

The dresser splintered, coming apart as if it was made out of fragile glass instead of

sturdy wood.

He stomped into the room, bits of wood crunching beneath his massive hooves.

My head spun and my vision swam.

His eyes glowed a bright, malevolent orange, and for the first time, I could see his face

clearly.

I will never forget that face.

It grinned down mercilessly at me.

A thin red tongue flicked over rows of jagged, uneven teeth.

Orange eyes blazed.

I felt the crotch of my jeans grow warm and wet.

I raised my hands feebly as the horned man hefted the mallet.

"Please - " Pain shot through me as the mallet collided

with my stomach, driving the wind out of me.

I heard a faint crunching sound seconds before the window behind me shattered.

I felt shards of glass sinking into my back as the force of the blow hurled me backwards.

I gasped, trying to reclaim my lost breath.

I hit the ground so hard I saw stars and bright lights dancing at the edges of my vision.

I gasped, trying desperately to suck air into my battered lungs.

The last thing I saw before blacking out was those massive orange eyes floating in the

air above my head.

A huge hand reached down, its bony fingers extended towards me.

I wanted to scream, but instead, blackness washed over me.

The first thing I saw when I woke up was red light.

The ground beneath me felt hard and rough, and it took me a moment to realize that I

wasn't lying in my grassy backyard.

Oh God, I thought, I'm in Hell.

I'm trapped in Hell.

Tears streamed down my face as I struggled to lift my head.

"Don't try to move.

You've been in a bad accident."

The voice was accompanied by a woman's face.

She peered down at me with kind, gentle eyes.

I looked around.

I was lying in the street.

At some point, the rain had let up, but the pavement was slick and shiny.

Red and blue lights flashed.

I looked around, trying to move my head as little as possible.

I could see an ambulance.

People in EMT uniforms were walking back and forth, fetching items from it.

At some point, I lost consciousness again.

When I woke up for the second time, I was covered in a thick white blanket.

I was in the back of a brightly-lit ambulance, and the woman I'd seen earlier was holding

my hand.

The harsh white lights made my eyes water.

"Shhh," whispered the woman, squeezing my hand reassuringly, "you're on your way to

the hospital.

Can you tell me your name?"

"There was a man," I said thickly.

My voice was hoarse.

"He was in my house.

He had a mallet - " She cut me off with another shushing sound.

"No," she said calmly, "you were in your car.

You had a very bad accident.

Can you tell me your name?"

Dark spots had begun to appear at the edges of my vision.

I couldn't remember my name.

All I could think of was the horrible grinning face that had leered at me seconds before

the mallet had collided with my stomach.

The darkness swam over me again, and I could've sworn I heard faint laughter.

When I woke up for the third time, I was in a hospital.

A different woman wearing a white lab coat was standing beside me.

She told me that I'd been in a bad car accident.

She told me that the storm had caused my car to spin out of control.

I had apparently gone flying through the windshield and, although my back was broken and I'd probably

never walk again, I was lucky to be alive.

I shook my head.

"No," I told her.

"That's not what happened.

I was at home.

A man broke in.

He had a giant hammer.

He attacked me.

He pushed me out the bedroom window..."

My voice trailed off as the doctor shook her head.

"A passing motorist found you," she said.

"That's impossible," I told her.

"The giant must've moved me."

She arched an eyebrow.

"The giant?"

"There was this giant outside my house," I said.

"When I tried to escape from the man, it wrecked my car."

She looked at me pityingly.

"Send someone out to check my house," I told her.

"The man with the mallet trashed it."

I told her the whole story.

She listened patiently.

"How much did you have to drink?" she asked.

I groaned.

Now she would think I was out driving drunk and that I was making up the story about the

horned man and the giant.

"I had a couple beers," I said, "but I wasn't driving.

I was already at home when I drank them."

She was flipping through a file, biting her lower lip nervously as she did so.

"According to your tox screen, you were completely sober," she said.

I stared at her, unable to comprehend.

"You didn't have any alcohol in your system when you crashed your car."

She looked at me pensively.

"Do you remember what happened before?" she asked.

"Before what?"

"Before you were on your porch drinking beers and watching the thunderstorm."

I wracked my brain, but kept drawing a blank.

I couldn't remember anything from that day.

It was like a large, vacant spot in my mind.

I have tried to convince myself that the horned man and the giant were figments of my imagination,

my brain's way of trying to process the car accident.

But now, every time I hear thunder, I look to the sky.

And sometimes, when the lightning flashes, I see a giant pair of orange eyes leering

down at me.

An air force base in California is on lockdown following a "real world security incident." A spokesperson for the base posted on Facebook at around 3:30 p.m.

local time, "Travis Air Force Base is currently responding to a real world security incident. More details will be released as they become available.

The public is being asked to stay away from the base to ensure emergency responders can respond accordingly." Marie Lowe, a public affair specialist, confirmed the shooting, according to CNN's Dianne Gallagher.

The base is located in Fairfield, California, close to San Francisco. Just after 5 p.m., a spokesman from Rep.

Involve the whole family in taking care of CP child - pt 2 - Duration: 4:17.

Yesterday we talked about how to involve the whole family in taking care of a child with

Cerebral Palsy and I said I would telk today about the extended family.

As I thought about it, I missed a lot about the immediate family.

If I didn't do the immediate family justice, the extended family would not make sense.

So I will continue the immediate family.

As I said yesterday the whole family has to help out in taking care of the child.

I did not explain how.

Back in the olden days, the older girls would help dressing, feeding, and taking care of

the new born.

These days the family has gotten smaller.

But having a child with Cerebral Palsy, it takes a lot of work.

I am not saying just have the older siblings help out with the normal things.

When I was born, feeding was extremely difficult because I could not suck.

My parents tried every kind of bottle they saw.

Feeding might be too tricky for a sibling to do right away.

You have to take in consideration the severity of Cerebral Palsy.

Feeding might be easy in some cases.

In my opinion, if the CP is severe, I think you have to involve the siblings with taking

care of the child right away.

If you act like the child is different or breakable, the other siblings will remember

this.

When you try to involve them,  they will push back on you, and this is not what you

want at all.

Having a new born with Cerebral Palsy, it is frightening and you have a lot to learn.

I am not saying it will be a piece of cake.

Just the opposite, I am saying, and if you involve the siblings right away, the future

will be much easier on the whole family.

Before I continue this, I have to talk about marriage with a child with a disability.

It might be Cerebral Palsy or another disability or an illness.

The diverse rate goes up because the work is overwhelming.

One person thinks that they can not handle the pressure.

I totally get it, but many couples say the disability made their family closer.

In my opinion, if both parents accept challenges, they will figure out a way to work through

the challenges.

If somebody always is looking for an easy way out, they will drop the ball so fast and

run.

It is sad but true.

Before I end this, I have one more topic to touch upon, and that is having more children

after the child with Cerebral Palsy.

Do you still train them to help out?

 Without a doubt.

If your older kids are much older, this is very important.

The older ones might be going to college soon or getting married.

Who knows.

So how do you teach the little ones?

Same way that you taught your older kids.

When they are old enough, have them to do the easy stuff.

Tamera Weeks and her husband let the younger kids tie Micah's wheelchair down in the van.

As they got older, Tamera taught them more things to help Micah.

You want everybody to know everything about helping their brother or sister out especially

when the Cerebral Palsy is severe.

If you think that this video was helpful, please like and share this video.

I need your help in spreading my message.

Thank you.

I will see you tomorrow with a brand new video.

It is Chris signing off.
