Waching daily Jun 16 2017

- Remember this,

before you earn you gotta learn.

We live in a world where people just want stuff for free,

want stuff automatic, entitled.

Don't work that way.

It doesn't work that way.

You gotta train your mind.

People always in the gym training their body, that's fine,

but you don't just want a six pack.

You want a six pack of the brain, too.

I'm headed out of New York,

headed to my farm in Virginia actually

so I got everybody on here reading.

What are you reading, Kate?

- Radical Candor.

- Maya, what are you reading?

This is my cousin over here?

- Wall Street Journal.

- 'Cause we're in Wall Street.

Dana, what are you reading?

- Black Box Thinking.

- Craig.

Craig ain't got no book.

Craig, what's up man?

Adrian, Adrian just grabbed my, hey you.

- Oh, where did this come from.

- Adrian grabbed my book.

Remember that saying, say it to yourself.

The more you learn the more you earn.

Anyway, we're about to take off.

Don't Fail- How To Play Pikachu (And Not Embarrass Yourself) - Duration: 2:55.

Thunder is a powerful move when used correctly

But often too many people misuse it

Leaving them vulnerable

When timed like this, it can launch opponents

Which can be used for KOs and combos

It will take some practice but can also be used in meteor smashes

Just make sure they touch the cloud

Consecutive use is also deadly

When in close proximity to a rival, don't use it

This will simply leave you vulnerable to attack

It can however be used to block opponents

And as a stop so as to not be forced to grab the ledge

Which can set you up for a better position

Used in the air it can protect against aerials

And launch your opponent

An under used, under rated move

It can help tremendously when edge guarding

And to cover your dash attacks/grabs

It is used in this instance to help recover

And avoid being guarded

Which results in better positioning

I can safely sit here and yet guard very well

Which is a huge plus with this move

Here it is used to protect my dash attack

And set me up to do more damage and attacks

If an opponent shields the thunder jolt, simply grab them

Another great move that people mess up so badly

If used incorrectly, it can just leave you vulnerable

Watch how badly it positions me now

Boom- he grabs me and opens it up for more attacks

But here I angle it into the stage, allowing for a fast recovery

And there it is again

You can play mind games if you are careful

Which confuse your opponent

Used as an attack, it gives a slight stun

Enabling you to recover and also do damage

I get distance and then I can attack once more safely

Pikachu can do great combos

At high percentages, using up-grab + thunder almost always works

Up tilt and up smash combo into each other greatly, and can be topped off with thunder

Here is the aforementioned combo move

Aerials can also work well for keeping up a combo

It really depends on the situation and the fighter, though

To sum up, Pikachu is a light fighter

Who works best when used aggressively, but intelligently

When he uses his combos well, and combines them with epic ledge guarding skills

Like thunder and thunder jolt

He is a tough little guy to beat

While he is an easy character to learn and often used by beginners

He can be mastered with time and practice to be a nightmare

I hope you enjoyed the video and learned something useful from it

Becoming a Hippie | One of my Biggest Fears - Duration: 2:54.

[Intro Music: Calm by Silent Partner] Hi, I'm Katelyn!

Welcome or welcome back to my channel.

I have been going through a lot of changes lately that I think are bringing my actions

closer to my values.

For example, I went vegan a little over a year ago.

I've been trying to become minimalist for years and recently I've been trying to add

meditation into my daily routine.

It's these things and a few others that make me feel like I'm becoming a hippie.

While I don't necessarily have a problem with this at face value, it does have a downside

that I absolutely hate and that's becoming less relatable to the average person.

[and] The reason why I hate this so much is that one of my biggest fears is not being

able to connect with people.

Like I said, I've been going through changes, one of them being that I care more about more

things.

As I'm having conversations with people and one of the things I've recently come to care

about is the topic, I've noticed that it becomes--it's become harder for the other person to understand

my perspective.

I become less relatable [you know] because one thing about me that's a little bit off

of the mainstream becomes grouped together with all of the other things.

Instead of a normal person who is or does "x," I'm a person who is w, x, y, and z.

For example, if I am in a conversation where veganism is the topic, the person might see

that I try to live a vegan lifestyle while also being really healthy and they might not

be able to separate the two.

They might think to apply the topic to themselves, they have to be just as stereotypical about

it as I am, thus [kinda] the power of having that connection is lost because they can't

really relate to me.

That scenario also works backwards in that someone might think to embrace a healthy lifestyle,

I might mean for them to do so in the same extent or way that I have.

It's not like every conversation I have is like this, just the ones where the topic is

about something untraditional and it's something that I care about.

[um, yeah] This video, like I predict most of my video in the future will be, [uh] it

doesn't really serve any purpose other than to have me talk about something that's been

on my mind for a while and I hope that's been entertaining for you.

I will talk to you guys again soon, bye! [extra clip:] Recently, I've been going through a

lot of changes.

[laughing] That sound like I'm talking about puberty.

CEO Vlog- A Dreamer Helps Other Dreamers - Duration: 6:08.

Hello beauties! Welcome back to the Vlog. This week we have been talking about the

importance of being a dreamer and having a big dream.

We've talked a little bit about why having a big dream matters, we've talked

about how you deserve to have a big dream and it's okay to have one.

I shared a story with you about someone who influenced me and taught me how to

dream and so having a support group around you that encourages you is really

important as well. And today I just want to wrap up the week by sharing a couple

other thoughts on why having a dream and allowing yourself to be a dreamer is a

really good thing. One of them is that when you allow yourself to dream

something changes in you, you know, I think back to last August when I

suddenly saw what our company could be if we made a big shift and I remember

how excited I was and how excited I still am when I allow myself time to

think about it and how I can't unsee it now that I've seen it right? I know the

path it was like I woke up and something changed in me because I knew that I knew

what the path forward really was and that can cause a lot of create a lot of

excitement you know, in you, when you wake up and you're excited and you've seen

something no one else has seen that's what your dream did for you, right? It

helped you live with excitement which I think is really cool.

The other thing I really like about being a dreamer is that because I'm

thinking about the dream all the time because it becomes my core focus of

what I'm doing right let's talk about the dream we have for the company.

What that does is that it allows me to make all kinds of improvements so

improvements to our process, improvements to our communication, everything that we

do, becomes focused and narrow to reach that dream.

Right? And that has long-term effects. Some of them good, some of them not so

good, right? Because you're still going to make mistakes just because you found the

big dream and woke up and gotten excited about it doesn't mean you're still not

going to make mistakes and have failures along the way, because you will. I make

mistakes all the time, right? It's what you do in the face of those mistakes and

how you move forward, right? I think that defines us but that's a different Vlog.

So I think it helps us make really these long-term changes in our companies and

ourselves. Another one is that I think that in the short term you know when you

know there's something to look forward to and I don't know if you've ever had

this but maybe there's something you look forward to like you were going to

go camping or there was a big dinner you were going to make or there's some sort

of event or there's something in your life that you were excited about looking

forward to, for my friends it's a vacation or whatever. If you're my son right now as I

mentioned earlier this week, it's making a cake on the weekend. But it makes you

more resilient in your day to day until you reach that goal, right? Because you

know there's something bigger at the end and you know that you're striving

towards something so the monotony of things like we've talked about in the

past the long lists of things you have to accomplish the day to day and the

little hiccups that happen along the way become less of a big deal because you

have something big that you're that you're heading toward, you have a big

dream so it makes you more resilient and then the other thing about this that I

really like about being a dreamer is that in order to set a big goal or to

reach a big dream you have to be really real with yourself and think about where

you've got strength somewhere you don't have strengths. Because, at least what I

found and this may be different for you but at least for me, I know that I'm not

going to reach a dream on my own, I don't have all the skills, my toolbox is full

of stuff but I don't know how to use everything in there.

Some of those are resources outside of our company, some of those are

organizations, some of those are people that are going to help me reach this big

dream. And so I'm aware of where I have shortcomings and flaws

sometimes I focus too much on them, that too is another vlog, but what I'll say is

that understanding where my boundaries are and where I can really succeed and

where I need help allows me to make my dream more of a

reality, because it's not just a fantasy of a thing that may happen someday but

it's something that could be real it's something that could happen now. And then

the last thing is that whether your dream comes true or not, you're going to

develop habits that will change your behavior for many months or years to

come, right? When you have to narrow your focus when you seek help outside of your

organization or your family or your company when you're able to be

self-aware when you're able to give yourself time to be creative all of

those things require discipline, require commitment and dedication and

perseverance and if you're able to commit to that and do that you're going

to have a new set of habits that you didn't have before, you're going to

change so that's my thoughts on the importance of being a dreamer. I'm a

dreamer I always have been and there was a time in my life where I thought what

am I going to really do with my life? How does a dreamer become something? But now

I see that a dreamer can help other people have dreams - I'll see you next

week!

DIY Cosplay Triforce Sword: Turning Trash into Treasure - Duration: 5:05.

Hi, I'm Phil with Imagination International and today we're going to learn how to make

this fan art cosplay sword inspired by Legend of Zelda: a Link to the Past.

One of our major intentions with this project was to build it out of 'found materials'

or garbage - and then turn it into a professional looking cosplay sword.

So we're going to start with a base of corrugated plastic, add layers of cardboard using hot

glue, wrapping it in used canvas and transforming it with Tommy Paint.

Alright, let's start with the blade, using your template, cut several strips of cardboard

and one of the corrugated plastic, slightly wider than your template.

Start applying squiggle lines of hot glue all the way up and down the corrugated plastic

and begin pressing layers of cardboard to either side.

Using our template, let's trace over that cardboard and start carving it, just like

a block of wood.

Take two smaller strips of cardboard and attach them to the center of each side of the blade.

Now that your blade is in it's approximate shape and has some dimension, let's add

some edges to those faces by hot gluing strips of thick wire along the centerline on either

side of the blade face.

Once the hot glue holding the wire onto the blade faces has cooled, take your used canvas,

trim a large section and start pinning it to the blade face.

Wrap the entire blade in canvas, stretching it tight and closing it with hot glue.

Trim the excess, start pinning the corners and your blade will start taking shape.

Alright, we have a blade and now we need somewhere to put it.

So let's construct the rest of the sword, or hilt and pommel, in sword terms.

Take your PVC pipe and cut a "U Bracket" where the sword blade will physically rest.

After that you're going to want to construct your hand guard.

So go back to your template, cut the two big round pieces out of cardboard and decide how

thick you want your handguard to be.

Once you have that decided, cut a long rectagular stip to kind of act as that center piece.

Working from one end to the other, start taking it all together and then put it onto your sword

Once you have the handguard in place, but before you close it up, let's reinforce

it by putting some structural slats in there and not gluing them in place.

We chose to put some filler foam in ours, just to make sure there was no empty space

for things to go wrong.

Once your handguard is build, start wrapping it with canvas, the same way you wrapped the blade

The more layers you add, the more times you wrap your sword, the stronger it will structurally be

Remember when placing the sword blade into that "U Cut" - use as much hot glue as

you possibly can and wrap tightly with canvas, taking it with hot glue, making sure it stays

strong.

We do not want the sword blade falling out of that U Joint.

Alright, this is super exciting.

You actually have a sword, that looks like a sword and it weighs something and it looks

awesome.

Now it's time for the painting process.

For this, we brought in one of our in-house artists, Melody, who is going to transform

this sword.

Our basecoat is going to start with a brown/black.

This might not make a lot of sense right off the bat, but it gives us something to work

down into as we add additional layers of paint on top.

After the brown/black has dried, add a layer of silver to the blade and to the handle and

and a layer of bronze to the actual handguard.

After that's all dried, let's add a layer of pearl onto the blade.

Now that our basecoat is pretty much there, let's work on some detail.

Use the antiquing coating to give a little more depth, to add shadow and to add wear

or age-- making the sword seem like it's fresh from battle.

Then, finally come in and do final detail work using your bronze, using your gold, using

your silver, using the antiquing coating bringing it all together and a fine brush, just working

those areas around the cracks, around the chips to give them that extra fine detail.

Now that Melody is all finished up, we have a transformed sword.

From trash into treasure we have a triforce sword, almost ready to go.

Let's finish it up by adding a leather wrapped handle and a gemstone to either side of the handguard

For the leather handle, just find some scraps and start taking them on with hot glue into

a crisscross pattern until you have something that looks about like that.

For the gemstone, this one's really up to you.

If you can find some blue gemstones that'll work well, glue them straight on.

If you don't have gemstones available- a great option is to take a scraps of plastic,

paint it blue, and glue it right onto the handguard.

So that's it!

You have a Tri-Foce Sword, and it's awesome.

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial.

If you did, leave us a comment, let us know how yours turned out and I'll see you at

ComicCon!
