I believe that it is becoming more and more important to be able to communicate in English.
Especially at many workplaces and universities around the world.
The better you understand and speak English, the easier it becomes to live, work, study, and travel abroad.
I believe that anyone can learn to speak and understand English fluently.
To get you started here are 10 tips for improving your spoken English.
Be confident and speak English as often as possible to as many people as you can.
Don't worry about making mistakes,
the more you practice the better and more confident you will become.
Remember speaking is a skill.
Just like playing the guitar or shooting a football,
the only way you can become great, is to actually do it!
A smart phone can be a powerful tool for learning English.
Use it to record yourself speaking
then listen to see how your English sounds to other people.
There are also some incredible apps that can rapidly improve your English.

Listen to the news podcasts and songs in English.
Pay close attention to the pronunciation of words.
You can also learn new words and expressions this way.
The more you listen, the more you learn!
Read newspapers, magazines, blogs, books or e-books out loud to yourself.
You can even find scripts for your favorite television shows and become one of the characters.
This is an excellent way to practice your English pronunciation,
rhythm, intonation, and sentence stress.
Subscribe to an English Word of the Day list and try using that new word each day as often as possible.
There are many to choose from.

Watch movies in English and pay attention to new vocabulary and pronunciation.
Bonus points if you can download the script and imitate the actors speech and body language.
Making friends with English speakers is good
but making friends with others learning to speak English is great!
This is because you can compare notes,
talk about things you have learned, and exchange ideas.

Try to use as much vocabulary as you can to get your point across.
Make sure to listen to the other arguments carefully,
so you can argue against them more effectively.

Online dictionaries have the added benefit of audio examples so you can check your pronunciation.
There are a lot of great dictionary apps you can take with you on the go with your smartphone.
