Why Do YOU Love Bristol? -- James and Trinity's story - Duration: 2:15.

I started University at a different uni but

Bristol stood out as a far superior option.

I came here and thrived in a way

that I hadn't done before.

It's really important that when people go to uni that

they don't put themselves in a box - I'm

doing History but I'm not going to

side-line my other hobbies and passions.

That's a really valuable thing about the

Sports Leadership Award.

The Sports Leadership Programme is a nationally-

recognised scheme run here by the University.

The Award offers students the

opportunity to gain confidence,

communication skills and leadership

skills but more importantly gives students

the opportunities to meet other students

from completely different backgrounds.

It doesn't require you to be good at sport

doesn't require you to have knowledge of it,

it just requires people who are

enthusiastic and passionate about making a difference.

The Sports Leadership Award

at Bristol is unique. We take the time to

get to know the students who are taking part.

Throughout the year we'll provide them

with mentor meetings in which they can

discuss any queries they might have and

we give them goals and targets to work on.

We just held a sports festival for

850 local children

who otherwise wouldn't get the

opportunity to be so active and have

such great role models.

Anytime where I watch a student who's

not as sure in their abilities - but then I'll

watch them in front of 20 kids and

they're smiling, the kids are smiling and

for me it just shows that I've had an

impact on them through the Leadership Programme.

I'm proud to be involved with

something that's making a difference in

not only the students' lives but also

the children.

Helping people and being involved in the community is my passion

and that's what I want to do after University.

Mountain fold the right layers behind.

Cut off the shown part.

As a result, we have a pentagon.

Re-arrange the 5 creases as shown in the following pictures.

Fold the base for the starfish.

Lift the triangle up. Repeat on every side.

Fold down the top of the base.

The tip of the bottom triangle is the reference point for the crease.

Fold the tip of the triangle back to the middle of the edge.

Unfold as shown.

Re-fold into a base.

Start with re-arranging the shown creases.

These creases should be mountain folds.

The following creases should be valley folds, as shown.

Shape the base, as shown.

Make sure to make the centre "star" like this.

Fold only upper two layers of the left flap to the right side.

Repeat on the other flaps, as shown.

Spread the flaps. You will have a windmill-like form.

Adjust the folds, as shown.

Swing the flaps clockwise.

One part of the edge aligns with the edge of one arm...

... the other part of the edge is tucked in the pocket of the next arm.

Work on the mountain folds, as shown.

Now the valley folds.

Shape the model, as suggested. The result will be better.
