Waching daily Aug 2 2017

Hi, I'm Lara from En Route Traveler and

I am staying at the Kimtpon Shorebreak Hotel in

Hotel in Huntington Beach, California.

The Shorebreak is a Kimpton Hotel located

in the heart of downtown Huntington Beach, California.

It's directly across the street from the Pacific Ocean

and less than a block away from the city's iconic pier.

This boutique property was recently renovated

with surfer-inspired charm and offers all

the amenities one comes to expect from the Kimtpon.

The lobby and connected courtyard are the heart of the hotel,

furnished with cozy lounge areas.

Guests can gather here for complimentary happy hours,

water and coffee stations, or to roast s'mores

over the fire pits at night.

The front desk also supplies courtesy

chairs, umbrellas, towels, and toys for the beach.

Pacific Hideaway, the patio restaurant and bar,

is open from breakfast through dinner.

I was somehow lucky enough to score

a corner unit and

look at this view behind me.

I am looking straight on to Huntington Beach

and I have this huge balcony with a couch and

plenty of seating.

Just for me, not being shared!

I love it when there are charging ports by the bed.

This one has two electrical outlets

and USB outlets.

And next to that is an alarm clock where you can dock your iPod and

listen to your music through the speakers.

And there are two additional USB outlets there too.

No Kimpton stay would be complete without

goodies from the minibar.

And if you're a Karma Rewards Member,

which you can apply for for free,

you get to raid it for about $10 a stay

And then this wonderful cabinet also houses

a mini-fridge that's stocked with more goodies...

And there's plenty of storage space here for stuff.

There's also a closet, which I'll show you.

Here's a look at the closet.

Instead of the door, we have a pretty little curtain.

Plenty of room to hang clothes.

We've got a safe,

Some shelving and even a luggage rack,

an iron and ironing board, bathrobe,

got a yoga mat (comes in every Kimpton room),

and an umbrella and laundry bag.

Pretty well-equipped!

I went out to explore the neighborhood a little bit

and then I came back to the room and

had a wonderful suprise awaiting me.

Look at this, I got cookies.

I don't know how I'm going to eat these all by myself.

Some hummus and veggies and

some Four Sons Brewing India Pale Ale.

I feel spoiled!

4 STOCKS IM BUYING - AUGUST 2017 - Duration: 12:44.

hello everyone and thanks for tuning into the financial investor channel my

name is Brent today I will be discussing the four stocks I am buying in August I

will be covering the stocks there tickles ticker symbols and why I'm

purchasing them so I'm gonna go ahead and get started here the very first

stock that we're going to be taking a look at and what I'm going to be adding

to my portfolio or increase it in my portfolio is a V now a B is a my current

portfolio it is currently considered overvalued

overall you can see that the current dividend yield is 3.5 for the average is

three point seven zero the current price of $70 and thirty nine cents now there

was a big dip in the week here so this is actually a really nice time to buy

for a V it's actually in my portfolio I initially bought it at seventy two

dollars and four cents it did drop into the seventy one dollar range it has been

dropping since then so I'm waitin for this one to hopefully I think I think it

it's hard to say I would like it to continue to drop in tomorrow or I'll be

adding funds and being able to eat average down on my initial cost a V and

increase my returns for dividend payouts and the remainder of the year so a V

well not considered currently undervalued it is undervalued in my

current portfolio where I am able to average down and that is the reasoning

for purchasing into a V again a V has a long history of payouts it was a it

broke off from Abbott in 2013 Abbott had been paying out dividends for 44 years

IV has been paying out dividends continued dividends since 2013 and I

believe it's only paying now I think like less than 60% so it has a lot of

room to grow I like pharmaceutical companies I'm thinking 15 20 30 years

out did Abby will continue to pay out dividends and that is what is important

in my style of portfolio so a V is a stock to buy in August my neck stock to

buy no a V another thing when Abby is they had their earnings report come

out on 728 so that was actually prior to their fall here their earnings report

came out on the 28th and you can see that there was a giant fall right here

by 3% they had an estimated earnings of a dollar 40 they beat it at a dollar 42

so while they went down in earnings and they've continued to go down slightly I

think I will be buying into them I wish I had funds and available to buy into

this at the 3% dip which would it really greatly increase my overall equity in it

in brought my average down in a B so they beat earnings great stock for the

future next one of course you saw it here if you were quick you saw on that

it was Intel now Intel again I am currently holding Intel I did buy it

when it was considered an undervalued stock you can see that I had a High

Point yield of 3.10 I believe and it's currently sitting at two point eight

nine so it has recovered you can see that the price that's very low into the

thirty three dollar range and then it's now back up into the $36 inch thirty-six

dollars and thirty-six cents so this one is currently sitting at not a overvalued

not undervalued but it's even valued and it is I'm not down in the position I

don't believe I need to stop clicking on things now I am NOT down in position for

intim because I did buy it when it was considered undervalued but it is a stock

that I want to add more equity in to increase my overall return so this is in

my current buy for August but currently a V does take presidents over it because

I am down and Abby that I can get a good averaging down discount so Intel we

talked about a V and its growth Intel has had good growth over the past five

days so really not one I would consider averaging down or adding to right now it

does have little dips every couple months where you can see those a dip

here that was early in July and ever since its its announcements it did be

estimates that was at estimated 68 cents it beat it at 72

this is a blue chip company a lot of investors out there they are invested in

the video and AMD because they are growth stocks and they can earn you a

lot but in reality when those two stocks fail if there's a recession people will

be coming back to Intel because it's a blue chip stock it pays out continued

dividends it's had 35 percent yield over five years which averages down or

averages to seven percent plus or dividend yield of three percent plus

their dividend pal increase in the dividend yield

throughout those years so you can see returns in Intel of about 10 to 11

percent per year depending on how you're investing your dividend payouts and

averaging down correctly so Intel is in my portfolio for August next on the list

is Microsoft now again Microsoft is another stock that is currently in my

portfolio at the Intel Microsoft are currently added in my portfolio I am

down a few in Microsoft I shot up a lot higher than I had actually I'm not sure

if I'm down or not this is one in my current watchlist that I would like to

buy in August now it is not considered undervalued at all this may be the most

out of our overvalued one on my list for the four stocks on behind in August so

this is actually at the bottom of my pile of stocks that I would really like

to buy into in August well if I am down at all I may average down but right now

the only reason for buying into Microsoft at this moment is because

there is an upwards momentum it's not in any way going to be a failing stock in

the future this has had continued growth over past five years the growth has been

about a hundred and forty percent yet hundred and forty three percent I don't

know what the average is on that four five by one c5 500 is twenty and then

five and ten so ten and ten and 20 is 30 by five is six so 60% I can't do math

we'll just say 140 by 140 by 7 28 140 by 528 okay I did that 28 28

percent average per year with that dividend yield again dividend yield

payback increasing your overall dividend yield which would an overall increase

your return over those five years they have a lot of things going for them

lots of they aren't in any specific field they have lots of Technology in

licensing perpetual licensing support selling computers electronics Microsoft

is everywhere and Bill Gates just at number one Richard richest number one

richest in the world so he was a really good animator in entrepreneur so I

believe in Microsoft's future and continued growth while they are not

considered undervalued I do consider them a buy because just on their own an

upwards trend right now and they may come crashing back down but in the

future they will recover and that dividend panel will just be helpful they

had continued dividend growth and that's what is important dividend are being

undervalued is what gets them on my list to buy now if I go through their

financials and their history and their future and I take a look at it and all

of it interests me but maybe it's not undervalued at the time I wait for it to

become undervalued for say a three-month period and these sort of stocks

Microsoft is currently way overvalued in my opinion I just have a semi-decent

p/e ratio of 26 but again we shall see this again is at the bottom of my list

to buy into in August you know of all of them I would buy Intel or Intel first

and then a V and then Microsoft and then we're gonna be talking about my fourth

one so my fourth stock that I am buying in August is Costco now Costco is

considered an undervalued stock right now you can see that it's average

dividend payout is one point twelve percent right around there actually it

would actually be probably in the 110 in between 108 and 110 percentage for

averaging it's currently sitting at one point sixteen well that is not high by

any standards I know many investors out there they're looking for yields of two

three four percent or higher Costco is considered an undervalued stock for the

time being their current dividend is beating the five year trail and the one

year trail they've had continued dividend payouts for 13 years plus they

have special dividend payouts every two years now I just missed it you can see

okay here they've they pay they pay out thirty four percent they have continued

growth for thirteen years their ex-dividend date is in fourteen days and

they have special payouts just about every two years now I did miss it in May

yes ex-dividend was May 8th payout was May 26 where they paid $7 a share that

is gigantic so I didn't I didn't do the averaging on what the actual yield was

average in with these special payouts but this is a long term buy 13 years

with dividend growth that means they are essentially a blue chip stock they've

had continued dividend growth for ten years

they did payout through a recession they did not at any time stop paying out

dividends their payout ratio is under 35 meaning that I have lots of room - even

during recession periods they have continued room to payout and increase

their yield so they're at no risk of having to cut their yields down and

because they are wholesale discount variety store amazon and i don't you

know i don't i don't see amazon competing with them on a wholesale level

at this time being that might change in the future but for the time being

costco I don't see it as a you know competitor to Amazon and Amazon to

Costco so we can take a look at their financials they missed out earnings on

the past - but Costco did beat earnings in the past quarter at a dollar a dollar

40 when they were estimated at dollar 31 they have a really high estimate for the

summer mainly because people are you know it's summertime people are spending

more money they're going out they're going to Costco gaining bulk items and

steak water toiletries and just summer times always a really good for retail

especially this sort of retail you know Whole Foods I go out to Costco at a time

load up on all sorts of stuff for the summertime and I you know it's

considered a buy in my book so those are the four stocks I am buying and why Abby

Intel Microsoft Costco the ticker symbols will be in the description below

let me know if you have if you hold any of these stocks yourselves let me know

your thoughts on whether you would consider them buys yourself

KLIM Transition Pant - Duration: 1:10.

Hey guys, this is Matt here from Up North Sports.

Today's video is featuring the Klim Transition pant.

As you can see, I'm wearing the brand new navy color, available at Up North Sports this

year.

You'll also see the dark grey and the black available, so make sure you check out our

sizing chart and available colors at the Up North Sports website.

For a point of reference, I'm about 5'10" 180 pounds and I'm wearing a size large.

I usually wear between a size 32 and a 34 waist, and a large fits me very, very nicely.

It has adjustable Velcro on the side, but the material this is made out of is a very,

very stretchy and forgiving material, so it's not going to bind, it's very, very comfortable,

and it's going to flex with you.

A really nice thing about the transition pant, is it can be worn casually, and honestly,

it almost looks dressy when wearing it with nicer tops as well.

You can certainly use this as a layering piece to wear underneath an un-insulated bib.

So the Transition pant gives you a lot, a lot of flexibility.

You'll see I paired it up with the brand new Transition boot for this season.

You can find both of these items available at UpNorthSports.com, and if you have any

questions, give us a call, 866-335-8500.

Google Certified Trainer Application for Sebastiaan Terpstra - Duration: 2:58.

Hi! I'm Sebastiaan Terpstra and this is my application to become a Google Certified Trainer.

I've been a teacher for over twelve years, teaching English in secondary education and in community college.

I've always been a technology enthusiast, always keeping up with the latest trends and developments...

and I've built up a slight concern towards the future.

We're seeing the world change before our eyes, but I also see schools struggle in adapting to this future...

and teaching students the skills to flourish in this world.

Google is taking a big step towards this future by handing teachers and students the tools...

to both prepare their students for this brave new world and to be able to teach in both a fun and effective way.

My role as a trainer is to help teachers recognize this 'future' problem and to offer them solutions...

using various tools from G Suite for Education.

My trainings are always as contextual and differentiated as possible...

so teachers work on a usable product while learning the tools as they go.

In this video I will demonstrate how you can use Google Slides to create a presentation

that your students can use during your class, or after, by making it self-paced in order to facilitate differentiation.

In this example, I've created a presentation that has slides for class instruction,

a slide that links to a Google Form to assess which exercise my students can do,

and separate exercises for the different skill levels.

Students can click through this presentation on their own, either during or after class.

Let's have a look at how we can set this up.

To get a flying start, I've created a template which we'll use, which you can find in the comments.

But if you get the basics, you can start setting up your own template as well.

Start out by setting up the skeleton of your presentation, in other words: the slides, or chapters, you want to have in your table of contents.

You can see I've already created slides for my instruction, a slide for 'Test your skills'

and slides for my different exercise levels.

Now it's time to set up the table of contents.

To do this, we'll go to the first slide and enter all the names of the slides we want to link to.

To link to a slide, I'll select the word 'Introduction', for instance, and click the link icon,

go to 'Slides in this presentation' and select my first slide.

I'll repeat this for all of the other items in this list and when I'm done, I'll copy the entire table of contents

and paste it in the left pane of all my other slides.

Now I can start filling up my blank slides with content, knowing that all the links link to the right slide.

You can add slides to your presentation in between the slides that you've linked to.

Do realize, however, that if you want to add a slide to your table of contents,

you'll have to add the link and update the table of contents on every slide in your presentation.

Now you're ready to share this presentation with your class using Google Classroom,

or by publishing the presentation and sharing the link with your students in your LMS.

Good luck, and have fun!

How To Use Your FB Page as our own TV Channel - Duration: 2:47.

Did you know that Facebook has actually given us a gift? well Facebook has given us a lot of gifts

But the one that I'm referring to is our Facebook business page

And I want you to start thinking about your Facebook business page as your own

Personal TV channel, where you get to be the program director. Hi,

I'm Veronica Sagustume, and I help you to run a sustainable business with EASE. Now

I want you to start thinking about your Facebook business page a little differently than you have been. This is usually a very,

It's a hot topic some people neglect the Facebook business page

some people don't like it because it doesn't give you a lot of engagement and

Other people swear by it because that's where they get all of their community engagement, so you could we could sway it either way

But I just want to give you some food for thought. Our

Facebook business page can actually be seen as their own personal television channel, where we get to be the program directors, we get to decide

what type of

content we want to show up with

Do we want to share a funny clip, do we want to show up and give them a serious talking to, our audience that is

Do we want to share with our audience a tip, a strategy, a lesson, a workshop, or even a webinar?

Basically we get to be the program director of our own television channel. Isn't that awesome? Now

I want you to think about the kind of content that you would love to create in order for you to

Attract your ideal clients, and for your ideal clients to get to know you better

What kind of information could you share whether it was one minute, two minutes, five minutes- now the one thing with Facebook lives in

Your Facebook business page is that Facebook actually will go and create an audience for us, so the longer we're on live

The better the chances are that we'll get more people watching our stuff

But don't worry about the numbers of your Facebook live because a lot of people will catch the replay and here's the beauty about having

your television channel on your Facebook business page

this is the one place where people can actually share your content. Now when you create a

Facebook live or post inside of your own Facebook group or any other people's Facebook group

You can't share that content, but if you create the content or your Facebook live inside of your Facebook business page

You can actually share that into the groups you can have other people you can ask them to share, 'Hey, if you found this valuable..

Please share it with others", and that's how we start to expand our reach

That's how we start to show up online as ourselves, showcasing our expertise

Letting people know what our point of view is, what we want to talk about

Basically it's a great platform for you to accelerate your visibility in order to grow a sustainable business. All right guys

That's all I've got for today. I will speak to you next time, bye for now
