Waching daily Aug 3 2017

Alright, so what is a string?

Well, a string is any text that you want to be treated as text within a program. So

again we need to talk about a few other things that we're going to be talking

about actually a few videos from now, but for right now just trying to follow

along. So, this is a string because it's wrapped in quotations, and if we hit

enter

Python is going to say hello string. Now, you can also use single quotations here

to do the same thing. So basically you have two options either using double

quotations or single quotations, and let's say you want to have a word in

your string that you well let's say you need to have a word in that string of

text which contains an apostrophe. So let's say we wrapped in single quotes and we

say 'don't do that' Python is going to freak out about that because what it thinks

is happening is that we're starting a string here, we're typing three letters,

and then we're ending the string, and then it doesn't know what to do about

all this.

It's saying well to do that I don't know what that means, it's no variable, and

there's no function that I can perform on this, so I'm just going to freak out

and give you a syntax error. So what you would need to do in order to print out

don't do that is you can just wrap it in double quotations and then just type

don't do that, and as you can see what I print it's going to keep that intact. Now

alternatively let's say you want to quote somebody. So, let's wrap in double

quotes and say, "she said "I want this" and then close it, close it. Again. it's gonna

freak out because what it thinks that we're trying to do is start a string, say

she said,

then end the string and then it's going to freak out over all this because it

doesn't realize that this is part of that string because we have explicitly

told it to end the string here.

So what you would do in this instance is just wrap the entire string in single

quotations. So, 'she said "I want this"' and as you can see it's going to print it

out correctly. Now alternatively what if she said something that had an

apostrophe in it. So, let's try and cope with that so 'she said "don't put that

there"' again it's going to freak out because we're starting the string

here, we're adding a single quotation which is not interpreting as the other

string, in fact right here where this apostrophe is it thinks that's the end of the string,

so it's treating this like a string and then this as constants, or variables, or

whatever and it doesn't know what to do with them because we're not telling it to

do anything and then these just random quotations here.

So what we need to do in this instance is we need to learn about escaping

certain characters. So, let's write it out first then i'll explain it.

So what we're going to do is wrap it in single quotes and we're going to say 'she

said "don/ 't do that"' and what's happening here, let's hit enter. That's not what...let me

that out. It's just returning what we wrote there.

There. So we print that out and what this does is the backslash here

tells the next character to be interpreted as text regardless of what it

would normally be interpreted as, so rather than this trying to end the

string Python knows at this point that we want this to be printed out with the

string and not end the string but just printed out as a single character, and so

that's what it's going to do. So there's times when you're going to need to do

each of these in your Python code and so that's how to handle strings and what

they are. Again, a string is just a series of characters which is interpreted as

text and you can print it, you can manipulate it,

we're actually going to get into string manipulation in the next video.

What is Hair Porosity? - Duration: 5:52.

Have you ever wondered what hair porosity is?!

Uhhh I don't know.

Girl, does it look like I'm talking to you?!

Uh hello, you are me!

Today I'm going to be answering the question, what is hair porosity?

I'm going to be telling you about low porosity, medium porosity,

and high porosity. That's coming up next so don't go anywhere!

Hi, I'm Sandy, welcome to another video!

If your new here welcome! And if you have wavy hair

and want to learn proper hair care and get tips

on how to keep it frizz free naturally, subscribe and hit the bell so you don't miss anything.

Ok, so hair porosity is a fancy way of

asking you how porous your hair is. Really?! That doesn't help anyone!

Well actually theres more to it than just that.

It's essentially how well your hair is able to retain

and absorb moisture which is essentially determined by

your hair cuticle. Just for reference I forgot to say that

I got this information from Naturally Cury

dot come in an article titled Hair Porosity.

So first were going to talk about Low Porosity. And with

low porosity your hair has a really really hard

time retaining its moisture. So this blue line

right here, outlines the hair cuticle.

This is basically a reflection of one of

your hair strands on your head. The orange part

is your hair cuticle. Now as you can see the cuticles

look like they are stuck to the hair strand, they are not

protruding at all as opposed to this.

Compare these two picture. Which one look more compact?

This one right? This is low porosity. So what happens is these

black arrows right here is the moisture bouncing off of your hair.

The moisture tries to get it, it won't let it in

so it just bounces off, which is not really good because your

hair needs to stay moisturized in order for it to be healthy.

A lot of people don't think that knowing your porosity level is

important, but it actually is. Your porosity levels gonna

help you greatly understand your hair even more,

but not only that, it's gonna help you really really be able to

narrow down which styling products including your conditioner

and shampoo that your hairs gonna work best with.

If you have low porosity hair your hair is going to dry very very

slowly more so than your body, your body is gonna dry first.

Also when your in the shower you might notice that water

just sits on top of your hair it doesn't really go anywhere.

Also certain products can be too thick for your hair and just

sit on top of your hair strand making your hair greasy or

oily. And when you get your hair wet, it might seem like it

takes a long time for all of your hair to get fully

saturated. Most peoples hair porosity is determined

by genetics, but it can be altered by

chemical treatments, straightening treatment or just a lot of

sun exposure. Ok so moving onto medium porosity.

So if you have medium porosity hair you

basically have no trouble with your hair at all. This is

the hair type that everyone wishes they have. These people

don't really have any problems with their hair,

your hair is able to retain the moisture that it needs

and absorb it and release it normally and

better than someone with low porosity or high porosity.

If you watching this and you think you have medium porosity hair,

everyone is jealous of you. You can see that

now the hair cuticles are opened slightly

more than someone of low porosity. See

this one right here is someone with low porosity, their hair is compact.

So now you can really tell the difference. So you hair cuticle,

absorbs the moisture, and then retains the amount that it

needs and then lets it out, and then again.

It absorbs the moisture, retains the amount that it needs

for whatever time period it needs to and then it lets it out.

So medium or normal porosity level actually requires

the least amount of maintenance. Lucky!

If you think you have medium or normal porosity level you

basically won't have any problems with deep conditioners, it handles

it like a boss, boss, boss. But you need to be careful.

because if you use too much then this won't be good for your hair

at all. So now we're going to talk about high porosity.

High porosity is usually found on somebody that has a lot of chemical

damage. Their hair easily absorbs moisture,

but the problem with this is that it doesn't retain it, it

actually lets it go, which makes your hair super dry!

This is why 9 times out of 10 somebody that has

chemically treated their hair a lot and has not taken care of it,

has very very dry hair. Okay so this is what their

hair cuticle looks like. As you can see their hair cuticle

is open a lot more than somebody with

medium porosity. So you can see the difference there.

So it absorbs moisture and it releases it very very

easily and very very fast. Moisture is absorbed

and then it's passed through and not retained for very long.

Most people that have high porosity

its either inherited genetically, or is as a result of chemical

damage and they have really really dry hair.

So some characteristics of somebody that has high porosity hair

is that it dries really really fast and its

really frizzy because its so dry. They might

have problems with breakage, split ends.

It even breaks really really easily because of its

fragile state. So see these gaps right here?

These are the problem right here. These

are the gaps that let the hair pass through so fast.

With high porosity hair you want to be very very careful in what you do,

because something just a simple as swimming

or shampooing you hair can damage it and cause breakage, so you

wanna really really make sure to not use harsh product on it.

And that means to go the sulfate and silicone free way.

So the next question that you might be wondering is how do I know for sure

what my porosity level is? Well theres a lot

of different ways out there, but I'm gonna focus on the one that

gives you the most accuracy. But your just gonna have to stay

tuned because thats what coming up in my next video. I'll

be going over exactly step by step exactly

how to do this and i'll even give you product recommendations

on what to look for. Plus I haven't even done mine

so I thought it would be really fun to do it together!

Thank you so much for watching, I really really hope you enjoyed this video,

and don't forget to subscribe if you have wavy hair

that you want to learn proper hair care and get tips

on how to keep it frizz free. I'll see you next time! Bye!

The Leadership Ripple Effect | The FRONT #13 | Michael Phillips / Motivation / Business / Sales - Duration: 16:02.

Get ready today. I'm going to be talking about the leadership ripple effect right now on the front

Hello, everyone welcome this afternoon to another episode of the front number 13. My name is Mike Phillips

I will be your host and this afternoon. I am going to be talking about the leadership

ripple effect yes, that's something I came up with I got to get that up on my screen the leadership ripple effect, so

What that is well first off let me get through the introduction, so I am your host. My name is Mike Phillips

You can as always please subscribe to my live feed subscribe to my YouTube channel

Subscribe to my podcast I'm all over the place trying to put out audio and video content so you can participate in the discussion

Down below here as sometimes that leads to a really excellent future show so for everybody tuning in today

Thank you so much for joining me for this 13th episode of the front with me Mike Phillips

So today's episode is going to be on the leadership ripple effect and what that is if you've ever?

Looked at a lake or a pond and you take and you throw that little pebble or you throw that stone?

into it and you get that ripple that goes out and out and out and out and

as I was thinking about my subject matter for today

I thought man you know leadership is kind of the same way because

You affect your people if you're that stone that you you throw in there, too

Into the water to get the effect or you throw into business to get the effect

then those things that you do as a manager as a leader as an impactful person because you don't have to have a

leadership title to

to make an impact on other people you don't have to have a leadership title to be a leader from within your organization and

So if you are a leader if you're tuning into this and listening understand you're that person

That's that pinpoint that gets dropped into the lake and there's ripples that that travel out

From the center that travel out from you and and those are going to carry a lot of weight

And what what I mean by that is you've got to understand

And and you have to pay close attention to the people that are around you

You have to pay close attention to your staff to your cheers to the people?

that you're working both alongside that work for you that work above you right and

The reason for that is because that that ripple will and it gets larger and larger and larger as it goes out

Think about this and and so here's kind of an analogy that I wanted to

talk about as I'm talking about the ripple effect of leadership if

You are somebody in a management position in a leadership position in a company

And you get a cold, and you have to call in sick

Inevitably in most cases what happens is then you call in sick with a cold

within the coming days or weeks

your staff

Those people that are working either alongside you your peers working for you all of a sudden

They get pneumonia because it's almost like it's the okay to go ahead and well

Hey

if and I'll use myself as an example if

It's okay for mine to call in sick because he's got the sniffles, or he's got a cold

Then it must be okay for me to do the same thing and so that ripples out through the organization. It's the same thing with

Negativity right if if somebody at the center at a central point in an organization in business gets really

Crummy or crappy or negative then that that negativity spreads like a cancer?

It spreads from one person to one person to one person and it gets amplified each time and when you think about it

It's just like playing a game a telephone when we were kids, right it

Starts out potentially as one statement that may be a little bit crummy and all of a sudden it goes into this thing

that's this big tsUnami of the whole world's ending and everything is just falling apart and it's disgusting and they're

Right and so the thing is you've got to be really careful wherever you are at

especially when you're in a leadership role when you have people that are your

followers or your staff members you have to be really careful about how you carry yourself what you say because

Just a hair just two-degree off of what you want. Have done or what you want to Convey

to

the the people that are that you're conveying the message to

It's like a golf game. I have a lot of analogies in this one

I guess but it's like a golf game you end up just a few degrees off

right my friend John Rotolo would would vouch for this you end up just a few degrees off and

What was headed out straight in this direction all of a sudden you end up way over here because of the way your golf swing

Was made because of the way that the head of the golf club was tilted you're smacking the ball with the same

Power the same velocity you're sending it out there with that that same sort of effort

but you can end up in a totally different position you end up totally off in the weeds or in the rough or or

Ultimately somewhere that you didn't want to be

so when I'm talking about that leadership ripple effect it's

You as a leader you as a manager for the people that are taking the time to tune into this right now

your actions your attitude your energy level your

everything that surrounds that

Carries a lot of weight for the people that are around you?

carries far more weight than what you may even expect and I

Again, I can only base this on my own experiences

But it can be one of those things that you you're going in in the morning

If somebody says hey, how you doing today and you go?

Huh? not so good right that

Not so good by the end of the day it gets amplified to go all everyone Mike's having a crappy day better steer clear

Right you got to get out of the way of this guy, and it's like well, I

Maybe I hit an extra red light

Right it wasn't that big of a deal all I did was ran, and hit next to red light

and it slowed me down a little bit and

So often it gets it gets amplified it gets steered way off and in the meantime

Those people that are either working for you working with you and so forth

They are there they're there talking about it, and they're going on

Oh man this guy's having a crummy day, and then before long. They're all having a bad day. They all have negative energy there

It's like hey, how are you doing in Elico not so good man. My boss was really in a bad mood today, right?

So you need to be really mindful of how you are presenting yourself one of the one of the things as I was coming up

with this episode one of the things that I realized we're cruising along and my son started talking about solar panels and the

Interesting thing he says well solar panels, and he was explaining it to my five-year-old daughter right so she says well

What what is the solar panel? What does that do and he says well it collects the energy from the sun

It collects all of it and produces energy to spread out to other areas and other devices

And I thought man that's a really good

explanation you know especially from from a child's point of view there's probably far more mechanics and and

Physics and everything that goes into it

which are beyond my my capacity there's a really good explanation from

My 10 year old son to my daughter of okay?

Well the solar panel panel collects this and then it disseminates it to all these other areas

So a thing to myself as a leader you've got to be a human solar panel

You've got to collect all the light all the energy all the positivity all the pomp up and you got to

Spread that out to your team

right that's the sort of ripple effect that you want to have you have to collect all the

Positivity you have to present all the positivity you have to gain all of those things and find the light find the positive motion in

every sort of

environment interaction

Every sort of thing that you're doing through the day find the positive parts of it

So that you can be able to spread that out

To the other people in your life to the other areas in your life

to

You know to especially those in business, but your family your friends all of the other

People and interactions that you're going to have you want to be that human solar panel

So you know leadership is one of those things, too?

You've got to consider leadership is not something that is gifted upon someone so for example

Just because you come in and they say hey

You know what congratulations?

Now keep in mind if you're listening to this on the podcast you can always tune into my my leave the team

TV check it out on on YouTube as well because I talk with my hands and there's sometimes some interaction

I think I'm presenting something visually or auditorally, so so make sure you you do that please by all means subscribe

so where I was headed with this is a

Lot of people through the auto industry I come through the auto industry they get promoted into management then they've arrived

They're like hey. I made it to be a manager now. I'm a leader right now

I get to lead other people and now I get to to have this team

And they're just going to follow me wherever and it's all a farce. They don't always do it leadership is not a title

It's something that you've got to earn you've got to earn the respect you have to to end

The thing is you got to earn it every single day

So that that that leadership and that excitement that you have yet?

Take the excitement harness it turn that into your solar panel get it fired up and spread that out to your people. What happens is

Often people that get into that sales management and that management

Position get up there

And they say well now I've arrived and now what I'm going to do and we've all done this especially any-any leaders and managers

Tuning and especially in the auto industry, I'm talking to you right now

Here's the thing we all got to that point and we said hey, you know what I'm a leader. I'm a manager now

Right I'm ready to go. I made it and then we sit back in our desk

and I mean we hang out and we got to arrange everything just so and

Get all set up just right and say okay

I'll make it happen and

It doesn't happen and we wonder why is because you stops doing the things that got you to that point of being?

Acknowledged and getting into management and becoming a leader in the first place

The reason that you got acknowledged the reason that you've got to be in a management position the reason that you were

Bestowed or gifted or promoted into a

Leadership role is because you kicked ass you got to keep kicking ass. It doesn't stop you

don't just get the chair and the pin and the watch and the and

sit down and do a whole lot of nothing else for your people that's not how leadership were and

So the more you do the more ripple the larger it gets in the lake the larger it spreads out the more

impactful it becomes until by the time you know when you hit that

that

That pebble or that stone and you threw it out there in the water and by the time that ripple gets to you it can

be this huge wave and tsunami of

positivity and awesomeness

Or it can be the opposite

It can be one or the other

So that back to try and collect my thoughts and where I was headed so that the thing is this ripple effect

the Ripple effect can be

significantly positive and hitting the shore in this massive way and

Affecting the beach and moving the the sand and and it's the same way with leadership

you can have this huge ripple effect and be super positive and when you're hitting those people's lives when you're

affecting them and infecting them and it's that

emotional wave that strikes them and you can move and and

Change their whole Outlook

Right you can be that. That's the thing that leaders really do mentors and leaders and really good manager

You know whatever your title is whatever whatever

The title you've been given or whatever title that you choose to call yourself

You know if it's leader or manager or business person again there are people keep this in mind, too

I'm going to get off on a tangent keep this in mind salespeople

There are top salespeople on the floor that and again

I'm skewing this the way into automotive, but there are top salespeople on the floor that are leaders

Whether you want to be or not, I'm talking to you. You are a leader

Why because you do the things that are necessary to be successful and other people want to follow you

Be near you be like you and they want to emulate that because they see the success

Because of the emotion and the excitement that you carry just by doing the right things

Sometimes you're a leader just because that's how you live

So and keep in mind that that ripple effects from you as a top performing sales person as a top performing

individual in the company if you're in the middle of an

organization

You then you ripple you resonate all the way out you resonate out to the side you resonate up and down it's it's all over

the place you're infecting and affecting the

the people that are you're coming in contact with you could drive your

Manager into an absolutely kick butt

Positive emotional state just by being the light in his or her day

it doesn't have to be you you don't have to have cool letters behind your name or a

you know sales manager title or or

in any of those things you just have to be an awesome person, and you have to understand that that ripple is going to

Affect others, and it's always one way or the other there is no

neutral ripple

There's not a neutral ripple. It's either it ripples, and it gets larger, and it's a positive impact and it's a pumped-up

lighted passionate fired up ignited

All just the positive pumped up things that you can think about

to

Influence somebody in a positive manner or it's the other one. I'm not going to dive into I'm for me

I'm not a negative

I don't I don't want to focus on that so it's either the really positive kicked that way or the other one

I'm not going to go into all the other one

I don't care about all the other one titles right focus on the positive be the positive ripple

so

Are You a Highly Sensitive Person? Should You Change? | Conscious Reminder - Duration: 6:59.

Are You a Highly Sensitive Person?

Should You Change?

It is certain that being insensitive is an undesirable trait, but does that mean that the opposite, 'being sensitive', is a desirable one?

Apparently, in our Western society we cannot make up our minds: We consider either being insensitive or being sensitive to be unfavorable.

Society demands that sensitive people develop thicker skin, and that insensitive people be more considerate.

But what does highly sensitive really mean?

Is "Highly Sensitive Person" a scientific term?

As it turns out, there is actually research on this innate trait, high sensitivity.

The scientific term is "sensory-processing sensitivity" (SPS).

People who are highly sensitive are born that way; it is not something they learned.

As children they might be described by teachers as shy or inhibited, especially in Western countries.

As adults, they might be described as introverts.

It is important to note that not all sensitive people are shy or introverts.

In fact, 30% of HSP are thought to be extroverts.

HSP scales for adults and children have been developed and has been used in research (1).

A commonly used scale contains 27 diverse but strongly interrelated items.

A HSP ...

has a rich and complex inner life

is deeply moved by the arts and music

gets easily overwhelmed

has difficulty performing a task when being observed

easily startles

is sensitive to pain, caffeine, and hunger

is attuned to inner bodily sensations

readily notices sensory changes

A case study of a young female who would be classified as a HSP

"Fatima likes to throw herself in the arms of nature, she experiences the blueness of the oceans like nobody else.

As she walks, she feels like trees bend just a little to talk to her.

Mountains provide her with a sense of greatness, like there is something out there much bigger than humans.

When she enters a room, she is the first to notice odors, subtle sounds, and startles easily.

When she watches TV series, she immerses herself in each of the characters.

It takes her days to recalibrate her sense of self after watching a movie or reading a book.

She is an amazing teacher.

However, when the principal observes her class, she gets overwhelmed and delivers her worst performance.

The week before her menstrual cycle, she is very focused on her pelvic pain, and PMS causes her to be irritable, have foggy brain,

and make poor decisions.

She is very conscientious, wants to avoid making mistakes at all costs.

She is guarded around people so that she does not say anything wrong, which would make her very anxious.

At the same time, she easily gets affected by others' moods and stories."

Researchers linked this trait to positive qualities but also to mental illnesses

It is not surprising that this trait is found in artists, poets and is linked to giftedness, creativity and empathy.

At the same time, a HSP is at a higher risk of depression and other mental illnesses. They are also at a higher risk of burnout,

because they get easily overwhelmed.

This is why it is critical to know if you are a HSP, so you can seek out relationships and environments that make you shine (see the last

section).

The brain of a HSP is different

There are biological reasons for all the components of this trait.

A HSP's brain is wired differently and the nervous system is highly sensitive with a lower threshold for action (2).

This hyper-excitability contributes to increased emotional reactivity, a lower threshold for sensory information (e.g. bothered by noise,

or too much light), and increased awareness of subtleties (e.g. quick to notice odors).

There are also changes at the macro brain level.

The areas associated with this trait greatly overlap with the brain areas that support empathy!

Also, they have a hyperactive insula, which explains their heightened awareness of their inner emotional states and bodily sensations.

This hyperactivity explains their sensitivity to pain, hunger and caffeine.

There is also some recent evidence that this trait is related to the infamous 5-HTLPR gene (serotonin gene),

implicated in many psychological conditions, such as depression (3).

How to make the most of your high sensitivity

Reduce the number of intense stimuli in your environment.

Limit the number of tasks when multi-tasking.

Avoid burnout by noticing early warning signs, such as feeling overwhelmed and anxious.

Get your thoughts and deep emotions on paper so that they won't cloud your brain.

Try mindfulness meditation, especially to deal with high sensitivity to pain.

This will teach you to acknowledge pain as the sum of sensations suspended from the label of pain.

Take advantage of your creativity: draw, color or write.

Take advantage of your predisposition for higher empathy to strengthen relationships—to become a better co-worker,

and to assure your self-worth.

Be comfortable in your sensitive skin, own it and never be ashamed of it.

Be honest about your predisposition to be a HSP, especially in close relationships.

But, don't forget to highlight the positive aspects: more empathy, deep thinker, able to see things from a different perspective,

appreciation of arts and music, and others' positive qualities.

Margarita MAMUN big interview / Tokyo 2020 / English Subtitles / Маргарита Мамун интервью - Duration: 16:00.

can you hear ?

Can you hear Rita? tell me!

Good, well, let's start. To start...

I will interview you for a little bit, and after

the audience can ask you questions, and after autograph session and photo.

and etc..

in one of you interview you said the following:

whenever I step onto competition carpet I compete with myself

can you explain the meaning?

it is our sport that make us be this way

when you enter the carpet you have to overcome yourself

because when I compete i'm all alone

Coach is behind

Judges are also sitting and watching

so if I drop the apparatus or do something wrong, it is my fault

because i did'n overcome my fears...

i was too nervous or worried

it is our sport, we are not sprinters or swimmers..

we are not a soccer team

it's nor a direct rivalry

we don't directly compete to gymnasts from other countries or our country

you compete with yourself

Rita, tell us, what if you drop the apparatus...

hoe can you put yourself together quickly?

it is a distraction, and your brain gets it

And the gymnasts understands that she did a mistake..

how to recover?

sometimes the drop

hits you suddenly, and you understand what's happened.

so everything before was fuzzy... and after the drop you get it

you understand what is happening

you start to focus better, but certainly you shouldn't think about it

because sometimes you lose apparatus, then

you get upset and lose it again

again and again, and it looks too bad

it is very unpleasant

it looks like you are a sort of amoeba

that you can't focus

well it is difficult, but you've got work on it, and experience...

may be you have your own, personal

recipe

how to focus during the routine

you should better focus before the routine!

to avoid all the mistakes

you must be focus

and you shouldn't

be like a automatic machine

because if you throw the apparatus incorrectly, and it changes the trajectory

and you have to react immediately

and that is why

if I throw to the wrong direction, but my body will keep moving the usual direction

obviously i won't catch

so you must be sober every second, control every second

tell us

what are you thinking about when you perform?

i understand, first of all this is control

any thoughts at this moment?

Before the Olympics

I tried to overcome my emotions

and work on my inconsistency

and when i was performing

and first time id was like dream ... i didn't even realize what i was doing

it is only 1.30 min, you run on your adrenaline

it's like

ride on a roller coaster

it is like it has past, but you don't remember every single detail.

That is why you have to control every second, and think about

it's me and apparatus, it is me and apparatus

you have to pronounce all the corrections, everything you do

here is my toes

here is my arm, here i react fast

i catch and i don't let it go

it is hard to focus

the time is short, you have to analyse, and smile here or there

and work physically... yeah difficult

I think you have a portable computer in your head to control all that tasks

at the same time

Let's talk about the Olympic games

that took place in 2016

tell us, this GOLD was expected to you?

of course I dreamed about it

and we've gone through the numerous grand prix and competitions

and whenever I was standing on the podium

I was picturing myself in Brazil

standing on the podium and singing th anthem

at that moment I had goose bumps,

but when I was performing at Olympics I didn't think about winning or loosing

i had the greatest fear

to let the team down, the coach and the whole country, and do everything horribly

it was the single and the greatest fear, it wasn't about losing or something

my goal was just to do everything fine

not to drop

do everything perfect and don't wast the work i've done

it is true that everybody has been waiting the second place

because

Yana was the favorite

but it is sport, and Olympic games it is absolutely different competition

just like that

to confirm everything you said above, I will read Irina Viner's quote :

Who said the next

She had been second for 4 years, letting the first place to

Yana Kudryavtseva

and in the end, Rio Olympic games and the gold is yours

You, being Yana's friend...

Were you upset for her?

at the end of the day, you've got the gold, not her...

Actually, I was in her shoes for 4 years...

i was losing the Worlds and European championships to her

Just like her, I was doing well, taking a lead.. but

at one point I had a drop

same happened to Yana

At that moment I knew what she was feeling

but

That is why everybody was expecting

As Irina Viner said

I really wasn't doing well before

Irina Alexandrovna tolled me something before the Olympics

when we were in a training camp in Brazil before the Olympics

right before going to the Olympic village in Rio, she said

"If you do everything perfectly clean, you will win!"

I didn't believe her , how can you say this things

because judges can be so picky even if you do perfect

e.g. didn't complete the pivot, didn't complete the balance

hands were bent

ribbon was touching you

you can get penalized even for this stupid things

that is why you just can't do perfect

there is no limit of perfection

and for Yana... second place and silver

was it personal defeat, was she badly upset?

I think she took it too hard

because when I had similar failure at Worlds or European tournaments

I was very upset... but

but i was in a worth position

at the European Championship I was 5th, i wasn't on the podium even

at the Worlds, I was second in all around

i know how it feels, but this silver for her

was equal to gold, because she underwent a surgery

there were so many complications

If i'm not mistaken

Amina Zaripova took you to Novogorsk in 2011

To show you to Irina Viner-Usmanova

we all know that Irina Viner is not the easiest one to get along

and that she is a very tough coach

when it was a sort of audition

did you have a fear that she won't like you?

of course i was afraid ... i always thought

she was very strict

impregnable woman

but when i came in

well she is a person of her mood

she was fine that day, she asked me, who was my father

why am i so tanned.. she was telling stories..

everything was just calm and fine

she said:"Jump"

oh.. that was my signature move

so i jump, she was like .."good!"

and i relaxed

but is was a training camp

they were preparing for the first Junior Olympic games

and they said that she had so many girls born in 1995

she has literally so many

and why we need her?

and they wanted me to compete for Bangladesh at the first Junior Olympic games

well it sounds very prestigious

but if we were to do so..

if I would have excepted this offer, i think

i would have never been the Olympic Champion

because Bangladesh has no support to the athletes

they don't recognize this sport

it was crucial decision

yep it was right for you

for your future career

Tokio 2020?

it is such a heavy hellish labor to work for Olympics

it is so easy to judge if you haven't done that

after competing in Brazil, after the doping test, I went to the Russian house

and they ask right away "so, are you going to Tokyo 2020?"

I have just finished competing tonight... what are you asking?

i can't realize what happened to me here... and you ask me that

it is easy to say...but

Olympics are very difficult competitions

and since i went to Brazil and i didn't know what it would be like....

now i know what to expect from Tokyo...

and maybe it would be worse, may be easier...

no...it won't be easier..

but yeah... it is a dream, it is special competition

it is the highest point for each athlete..

so, you say it the way you wanna go there...

to Tokyo 2020, yes ? yes?

Maybe, I say maybe

We all want it

First question

Hello, Margarita

i have a hidden agenda

I'm from the 1st channel (Russian TV)

we are in process of making a new show

would you be interested to take part in a sport kind of TV show

on TV ?

Can we discuss it?

Very possible, depends on the show

because, once i was offered to be in TV show "About dancing"

but my husband is against it..

he said, "You gonna dance only with me"

there he is , my Alexandr

you can talk to him

i want

to ask you

can you give me the autograph ?

i can do it right now

here in the bottom people rising the hands

Hello

have you ever had distemper

or desire to quit gymnastics or skip the training?

one second

about quitting, yes... i wanted

when i was 13

when I was in my old club

i could not grow there as an athlete

aaand my parents were realizing it

and i was also getting it, and i wanted to quit

and I planned to continue my studies

because i was very serious about it

and I was worried about my future

I thought

that my classmates they know where they will go after school

but i don't know, I have no time for school

that was the reason why i was going to finish it

but my parents took a very wise decision

and registered me for the admission

at the center of Olympic performance

like that i started my second life in gymnastics

so, back then I was seriously considering

quit it, and

was a lot of moments when I didn't want to go to the training

many moments like that

but when you have a goal

you have to understand, why are you doing this?

what do you want to achieve ?

you must have a motivation. Yes it is hard to find it

your own motivation, your own happiness,

you have to make your mood, to go and train

if your path is smooth

this path is not the best

because on the right path, to the high standards and goals

the path is very difficult with lots of obstacles

and you have to go over

and limit yourself in somethings

hello

could you tell please, if you were training

after the Olympics as hard as before?

or less? or din't train at all?

oooh, befor Olympics I was training tremendous amount of time

a lot...a lot

especially last month before the Olympics in Brasil

we had training from 7 in the morning

untill 6, 7, 8 in the evening

but after the Olympics it was some sort of wane

so much happiness and relax, that

i had a break for 10 days

and right after that i went to a wold cup

without practicing... just like that

and went to perform straight from the plane

we had so much training before

that I had so much of physical conditioning that could keep on competing for another month

Hello Margarita, it is such a pleasure

to see you here

what do you think you will be when you will be 30?

what do you wanna do? did you dream about doing something?

after finishing gymnastics?

Honestly, for the professional athlete it is

very difficult to decide what to do after

the sport career is finished

but by 30 years, i will already

i hope, have kids

i will be a mother

because i was raised in a family

where we cherish the family values

and i've always dreamed about big family

so hope i will be a mom

but of course, I would like

to remain in sport even after finishing it

maybe i won't be a coach... maybe i can help in another role

to develop sport in the provinces, or work in Olympic comity

i don't know

i wanna be sport

because i know it from the insight

all the details

i have gone through and i hope

i can be pretty useful

do you want to open a club in Bangladesh?

i would love to have a school in Moscow... but later.
