Waching daily Mar 28 2018

All packed up and ready to go

left my room

farewell, last look around

it's very nice here

it's been a very pleasant stay

peaceful, quiet

this nice sort of verandah area to sit out on

which is great for the evenings and the mornings

and nice friendly helpful super friendly staff

helpful staff

but gotta go

it's time to leave Cambodia

and head to Bangkok

the big city of Asia

everybody has heard and knows about Bangkok

so let's spend our next five days there and see what it's really like

oh, interesting echo

okay, now I've got to pay my bill

not really

but I have to pay really don't I?

can I pay next time?

Can I pay when I come back next year?

See you no next time, thank you.

Short ride, 25 minutes from Siem Reap centre to the airport

and here I am about to leave Cambodia

It's been great though hasn't it? Haven't we had fun?

And here we are

check-in board

see when my flight is,

Where am I going? Bangkok I'm going to.

okay and kind of worrying I can't see my flight up there

oh there it is AK541 I was just looking in the wrong place

found it now

so they are check in three

so let's go and find check-in three

One of the things I really hate about airports checking in and queues

I'm with with Air Asia

one check-in desk, five flights

I know it's a small airport but the

queue is ridiculous

I got here early and

actually queued out of the airport door

I hope I left enough time

I've still got two hours

I just don't want to spend the whole two hours

sitting in a check-in queue

I'd rather go and get a coffee

and I've got toget through customs

After waiting for over an hour in the queue

to finally get to the front and check in

there was a complication

nothing's ever straightforward is it?

Now it's a bit complicated

but I originally bought a ticket from Siem Reap

to Hanoi, and it went via Bangkok

and I bought it with AirAsia

in one ticket and it's

I think I had three hours between the flights, no problem

about a week before I left on this trip

so maybe about inly two weeks ago now

they sent me an email saying that the schedule from Siem Reap had been changed

and now I'm going to be two hours later which meant that when I got to Bangkok

assuming there's no delays I would have one hour or less to transfer flight

may or may not happen

so I rejigged my trip a bit and I was going to

then I decided well what I'll do

I'll stay a few days in Bangkok instead

because I'm going to miss that connection

or wait something like eight hours for

the next flight in the airport I didn't fancy that

so I thought well I stayed a few

days in Bangkok then go on to Vietnam

so I didn't cancel the ticket because they don't

make it very easy to cancel or change

and when you're traveling on the road

you don't have good internet access

and all the information they want

it gets complicated

so all I did was then buy a new ticket

from Bangkok to Hanoi six days later

then I then proceeded to buy my leaving ticket from Vietnam because

as a UK passport holder I can stay 15 days or 14 nights in Vietnam

and get a visa on arrival or VOA

a Visa waiver is what it really is or a Visa exemption

but it then means I have to leave within 15 days

so I then calculated my 15 days after my six days in Bangkok and then bought my ticket

for leaving Ho Chi Min at that point

Now when I came to check in they wanted to

see my leaving ticket from Vietnam

bare in mind I'm in Cambodia and they

wouldn't check me in because it wasn't within 15 days of me arriving as far as

they were concerned in Vietnam because I hadn't cancelled the original ticket

even though I had a new ticket

and they said no we're responsible you can't you know

you've got to fly through you mustn't if you know so what happens if I miss the

flight you know because there's not enough time

now they go "well we'll just put you on the next one"

so I have to wait eight hours in the airport?

"pretty much yes"

so the guy who was checking me in said well

no I'm not supposed to let you on now

so I had a valid air ticket they just

wouldn't let me on because according to them I'd be arriving in Vietnam early

and I just wasn't you know what basic was gonna do is go to Bangkok on that

ticket and not make my connection stay in Thailand for six days and use the

other flight that I'd already got out of Bangkok to then be within my 15 days

they weren't happy with that

so they said wait till my supervisor comes and we'll

see if there's a way around it

that will be in another hour

okay so it's time to

go and get some coffee

have some water

and chill a little bit to see what happens

back to you in a little while

okay update on the ticket and flights saga

when I went back after my coffee, wandering around

and wondering what to do

shift changed new

people my ticket was already printed out

went up to the counter just handed

my passport and I said "oh I think they're my tickets"

and the lady picked them up and said "well what's the problem?"

and I said "I think there's a problem possibly with my connection"

"no don't worry" she says

"if you miss the fight they'll just put you on the next fight, here's your tickets thank you very much have a good flight"

so I took them and I ran

and I'm still on the wrong side

so now I'm gonna go through passport control

get to my check-in gate

before they make me stay

and we are through

through passport control through

security and now just a nice quiet comfortable waiting area

it's a lot more peaceful through here

my gate is just over there but it's all busy

right people waiting you know, for check in so I just found a nice quiet area

sit down here chill for a little while

and I've actually got

turning you around without wobbling you

quite a nice view outside

there's not a great deal going on

Siem Reap is quite a nice quiet Airport but

yeah it's nice to be able to see the outside from the

airport watch the planes coming and going

so I'll get back to you at check-in time

Shloka Mehta: Everything You Need To Know About Akash Ambani's Fiancee And How They Met - Duration: 7:44.

Shloka Mehta: Everything You Need To Know About Akash Ambani's Fiancee And How They Met

If there is one name which is doing rounds on the internet for a couple of days, undeniably it has to be Shloka Mehta.

After all, the new bahu of India's richest man, Mukesh Ambani and philanthropist, Nita Ambani, would surely grab eyeballs.

We brought to you the news of Mukesh Ambani's son, Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta's engagement ceremony.

The engagement took place on March 24, 2018, in a five-star resort in Goa.

And from thereon, the next day, Ambanis and Mehtas visited the famous Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai.

So, who exactly is Shloka Mehta, what's her connection to the Ambanis and how did she meet her man-to-be, Akash Ambani? Let's answer these questions for you.

Who is Shloka Mehta?.

Akash Ambani's fiancé, Shloka Mehta is the daughter of Russell Mehta and Mona Mehta.

Russell is a diamond doyen who owns Rosy Blue.

Reportedly, he also owns a lot of residencies in South Mumbai.

Shloka is the director of Rosy Blue Foundation since 2014.

Then in 2015, she became the co-founder of ConnectFor, her brainchild which gathers volunteers for various NGOs running in Mumbai.

How did Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta meet?.

Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta studied in the same school, the famous, Dhirubhai Ambani International School owned by the Ambanis themselves.

That's where they met.

Post her secondary education, Shloka went on to study anthropology at Princeton University and later, she also studied at London School of Economics as a Master's student in law and anthropology.

What does Akash Ambani do?.

After his secondary education, Akash Ambani went to study economics at Brown University in the US.

After that, he got involved in his father's business.

Currently, he is the chief strategist at Jio, a 4G service provider.

Akash Ambani is also the co-owner of Mumbai Indians, a domestic cricket team in the IPL franchise.

Developments in Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta's wedding.

The rumours started when a source close to the Ambanis spilt the beans and said, "Shloka is a very charming girl, extremely cultured and it's difficult to say which of the two families is lucky with this upcoming marriage." However, another source refuted such news and was quoted as saying, "No dates of either the wedding or engagement of Akash Ambani have been finalised.

As and when any good news is to be shared, the family will be delighted to share with everyone.".

A few weeks later, Nita Ambani herself came out in the open and said, "Mukesh and I as parents have given our children the freedom to choose their life partners.

When my son decides to get married, to whoever it is, we are going to welcome him and wish him all the happiness in the world.".

The engagement.

And finally, on March 24, 2018, Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta exchange rings in Goa.

As soon as their engagement pics surfaced online, they became viral.

Post the engagement, a day later, Ambanis and Mehtas visited the famous Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai to seek blessings from God.

Post-engagement party.

Ambanis hosted a post-engagement party at their famous residence, Antilla.

It was obviously a star-studded affair and many leading names of Bollywood were present to grace the occasion.

Few names included Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karan Johar, Katrina Kaif, John Abraham, Rajkumar Hirani, Zaheer Khan, Sagarika Ghatge, Harbhajan Singh, Kiran Rao and many others.

Reports on Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta's wedding.

If reports are to be believed, Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta's wedding would take place in December.

The wedding will be a supremely glamourous 5-day-long affair and would happen in India itself.

Reportedly, the dates are falling between December 8 and December 12.

Post the engagement, Nita Ambani was quoted as saying, "I have known Shloka since she was four and we are all delighted to welcome her to our home and our hearts.

So, here we're! These were the details about Shloka Mehta and Akash Ambani.

We're hoping that their wedding bells ring loud soon.

The feature set of ECMAScript 2018 was finalized during the latest TC39 meeting in January.

It includes: - Async iterators and generators

- Object rest and spread properties - Promise.prototype.finally

- Various RegExp features Every single one of the new ES2018 language

features is available by default in V8 v6.4 and Chrome 64.

And by the way TC39 now has got own official logo

The WebKit team from Apple have released a Speedometer 2.0: a Benchmark for Modern Webapp

Responsiveness.

Now it supports mostly all modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, understands ES2015

syntax, TypeScript and Babel.

Last December Nicolás Bevacqua gave a presentation about Modular Design - at Code Europe.

This blog post namely "A Guide to Modular Design Thinking" contains a transcript of

that presentation.

Have a look.

Tim Nolet has posted an article with a provocative title "Running untrusted JavaScript as a SaaS

What You Need to Know About Multiple Sclerosis - Duration: 11:58.

What You Need to Know About Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis is a neurological disease that affects the central nervous system.

Its a chronic illness with varying circumstances, so each case evolves in a different way.

It occurs with the appearance of plaque – or areas where the myelin disappears – in the central nervous system.   Myelin is the substance that covers and protects the axons of neurons.

Its principal function is to increase the speed of the transmission of nerve impulses.

Its elimination explains the risks most characteristic of this disease.

Who does multiple sclerosis affect?.

This disease affects more women than men and it has a greater impact on Caucasians.

It tends to begin between the ages of 20 and 40 and it follows a geographical distribution.

The incidence of the disease is greater in countries far from the equator.

Thus, its especially prevalent in Nordic countries.

In fact, it was the Vikings who facilitated its expansion with their voyages.

The latest evidence points to an interesting environmental influence.

Vitamin D and heat are protecting factors. This can partially explain the geographical distribution of the illness.

How does it occur?.

As far as genetics, it has been shown to be associated with human leukocyte antigens HLA – DR2 and HLA – DQ.

Also, the illness is more frequent in families who have direct family members with the illness than in the rest of the population.

Clinical manifestations of multiple sclerosis.

Neurological symptoms.

The most frequent (61%) symptoms are sensitivity.

Among these may be paresthesias, (the sensation of ants crawling on you) or hyposthesia, lessening  sensibility in an area.

Frequently, in young patients, the illness begins as optic neuritis. In these cases, the vision becomes blurry and its painful to move the eyes from their normal position.

In fact, in a young person this may lead to unilateral loss.

If this is the case, multiple sclerosis should never be ruled out. Another symptom may be double vision.

Weakness and motor symptoms appear as frequently as optic neuritis.

Theyre a consequence of the lesion of the pyramidal path.

Meanwhile, in the medular lesions, other symptoms frequently appear.

They may be impotence and urgency to urinate. In cervical lesions, it can be a sign of Lhermitte, which is a feeling of painful electric shock when moving the neck.

Plus, if theres a cerebral lesion, it may be difficult to articulate words.

There may also be a lack of coordination, nystagmus, and tremors.

In advanced cases, its fairly common to experience neurological dysfunction that manifests itself in loss of memory.

As a result, there may also be a change of behavior, bouts of euphoria and displays of inhibition.

Patients frequently experience depression, especially when they first receive the diagnosis.

The depression is reactive, however, and is not provoked by the disease itself.

Patterns that evolve.

Multiple sclerosis can evolve following one or more of the following patterns:.

•  Recurring pattern – 85% of cases follow this pattern.

This pattern produces spikes without aftermaths that then return to the initial situation.

•  Secondary progressive pattern: In some cases, after a period of spikes, the symptoms begin to progress.

•  Primarily progressive pattern:  10% of cases follow a progressive curve from the very beginning, without the experience of spikes.

Unfortunately, this has a poor prognosis.

•  Progressive pattern – recurrent:  This only occurs in 5% of the cases of this illness.

In this case, the illness takes a progressive path from the very beginning.

There are also spikes and the symptoms are exacerbated by spikes.

Diagnosing.

The diagnosis of multiple sclerosis is basically done in a clinic.

In addition, there are two fundamental requirements:.

•  There should have been 2 or more episodes of symptoms separated by at least a month without symptoms (temporal dissemination).

•  The symptoms and signs should include at least 2 different lesions (spacial dissemination).

For example, paralysis in one leg and blurry vision in one eye.

A series of tests supports the diagnosis.

Analysis of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).

Normal CSF is totally transparent and acellular.

The CSF of a person with multiple sclerosis shows the following:.

•  An elevation of the lymphocites and of the complete proteins,.

•  An elevation of the lg G in almost 80% of the patients.

Evoked potentials.

By using this technique, one can determine the velocity of the sensory paths.

The detection of a slowing down of the electric conduction in the neural transmission suggests that there is a demyelinated lesion.

Fortunately, a physician can diagnosis this in the absence of a clinic.

Today, they measure it almost exclusively by visual evoked potentials.

MRI (magnetic resonance).

This is the test with the best results for diagnosing.

In just one study, experts can determine the following:.

• The number of lesions,.

• The Spacial dissemination,.

•  The temporal dissemination (the most recent lesions are most visible).

In an MRI, one can observe Dawsons fingers..

These are lesions that are oval (like fingers).  Theyre perpendicular to the cerebral ventricles and are lesions that are very characteristic of this disease.

Treatment.

At this time, there is still not a cure for this disease.

However, the current treatments go in two directions:.

1.On one hand, they calm the symptoms of the spike.

2.On the other hand, they modify the course of the disease.

Additionally, there are drugs aimed at treating the symptoms.

•  Treatment of the severe spikes are with mega doses of corticosteriods.

The pattern and the method of administration depend on the severity of the spike.

•  Immunomodulators are used to adjust the course of the illness. Glatiramer acetate and beta interferon are the primary drugs.

These are the most effective that exist.

The secondary drugs of defense are natalizumab and fingolimod.

The high rate of depression in these patients explains the need for a good, supportive psychologist.

Roseanne Barr Asked About Selling Her Soul - Duration: 1:38.

Jeff: On one of the late-night talk shows, I don't know if you were joking, but you had said

you made a deal with the devil as a girl. Were you joking or serious?

Roseanne: Well that was an allegory and if you read the entire story I think you'll

find it pretty interesting that... you know when when... you know... when you are and...

Well it's way bigger than I can... It's about ... it's about leaving your own ego and

joining up with like-minded people to create good common results...

Jeff: So...

Roseanne: That's what that whole story is about so read it again.

Jeff: So to be clear Satan is not endorsing your campaign right?

Roseanne: No. In the end of that story, if you've read it - I don't know if you have,

I actually kill Satan on behalf of all - you know - decent human being

so go ahead and read it. (Guy off camera speaks up: Gotta watch She Devil.)

Jeff: I've heard you on the ▓▓▓▓▓ show and you seem to talk about the people who are really in power

It's not just the Democrats and Republicans but it seems to be a few select...

Roseanne: well there are people that don't care anything about America. They're ▓▓▓▓▓

Jeff: Is there really such a thing as a ▓▓▓▓▓ or an ▓▓▓▓▓ or something

to that effect of people who are really empowered that are better running the shots behind the scenes?

Roseanne: Well yeah, there's just like... like I said

the wealth concentrated in so few hands is kind of good news. It's kind of good news if you think about it.

for us because, you know, there's not so much....

There's not as big a fight as everybody's telling us there is.
