Alone.
Abandoned.
Thrown away.
Utterly forgotten.
Whatever situation you may be in right now,
you're not alone.
You're not unloved.
You are not forgotten.
Jesus understands what you are feeling perfectly-- more than any other person on earth...
because he was human too.
He cares about you and He loves you!
He has promised that when we are a part of his family,
no matter WHAT, the presence of the Holy Spirit will always be with us.
Where do you run when you feel lonely, discouraged, or hopeless?
Jesus is asking you right now, "My child, do you feel weighed down?"
"Come to me right now. Give all your burdens over to me." (Matthew 11:28)
Being a Christian doesn't mean that you will never go through anything difficult.
What it means, is that even in the middle of challenging situations,
or things that are simply out of our control...
our God still holds onto us.
You may feel like you've tried to do everything you can,
but things still didn't work out.
Maybe you've broken people's trust... or God's trust.
You are in a "prison of hopelessness".
No matter what you try, you still can't break free.
You don't even know if there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Don't allow the mistakes that you've made to dictate,
or determine who you are.
If you have accepted Christ as your Savior
and you've asked him to forgive you for your sins,
that means that in God's eyes, you are clean!
You are a son or daughter of the King of kings!
You have the right to come to Him.
Who will you turn to?
Come to Him... boldly run to Him with all your mess.
Just like a little child who was hurt and runs to their father!
We have a Father in heaven, too.
His arms are always open...
He is ready and waiting to embrace us.
Whatever you may be going through right now,
no matter how far away you may be from your family or friends right now...
It's important to remember that God is our father, and He will never, ever leave us.
He understands us.
He is our joy,
and our help in times of trouble.
Don't let the mistakes you've made in the past
tell you what you can be in the future.
You are more than your past.
God has a much better plan for your life.
It's great if you have a plan for your life,
but what's even more important, is for you to realize
that God has an amazing plan for your life.
That's what we should desire most of all!
God's plan for our lives.
God wants to give us hope and a beautiful future.
You may be thinking, "That sounds impossible!
That's not the God that I know... He could never be that amazing..."
But remember, God is trustworthy.
You can trust Him completely because He is our hope.
God says in His Word that those who hope in Him will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint." (Isaiah 40:31)
God's Word says, "Do not be afraid—I will save you.
I have called you by name—you are mine.
When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you;
your troubles will not overwhelm you.
When you pass through fire, you will not be burned;
the hard trials that come will not hurt you." (Isaiah 43:1-2)
He can calm any storm that we may be going through.
He can rescue us from certain destruction.
God's Word says, in 1 Corinthians chapter 13,
that there are three things that will remain until the end:
Faith, Hope and Love.
But the most important of all is Love.
When life brings storms and trials,
God wants us to hold onto these three important things:
Our faith that He has a wonderful future ahead for us.
Our hope and trust in Him through everything,
and His unconditional love for us.
You can't see it, you may not even feel it right now,
but you can trust--not because of yourself
but because you are trusting in God.
He is good, and He is faithful.
Are you feeling down?
If you are feeling hopeless,
if you don't know what to do,
Don't commit suicide. Don't give up.
Instead, give your life over to God.
Will you come to Him?
