Let's go through the steps for setting up the ExpressVPN app for Mac.

For this tutorial, you'll need a computer running Mac OS 10.10 or above, and an ExpressVPN

subscription.

Begin by visiting the ExpressVPN website on your Mac.

Go to "My Account".

Enter your username and password, then click "Sign in".

Next, click "Download for Mac".

This will download the installer package.

Copy the activation code on the next screen - you will need it when you open the app.

Next, open the installer.

The installer will prompt you with a message about running a program to install the software.

Click "Continue".

The first step introduces the application.

Click "Continue".

The next step asks you where you would like to install the ExpressVPN software.

For most users, the default location will be Macintosh HD.

Click "Continue".

Then, it tells you how much space it will take up on your Mac.

Click "Install".

Enter your Mac username and password if you are required to authorize the installation.

Click "Install software".

Now the software will install on your Mac.

Once it has successfully installed, you can close the installer and move it to the Trash.

ExpressVPN automatically opens after being installed.

Simply click "Sign-in".

Then, paste in the activation code and click "Sign-in".

A message will ask you whether you would like ExpressVPN to automatically launch when your

Mac starts.

If you would like it to launch at startup, click "Allow".

Otherwise, click "Don't Allow".

You can adjust these settings later on in the app.

Another message will ask you if you'd like to allow ExpressVPN to obtain anonymized analytics

about your connection.

This data is used to help improve our service - it never contains personally identifiable

information.

Click "Allow" if you'd like to share this data, or "Don't Allow" if you'd

prefer not to.

Again, you can adjust these settings later on.

Now you're free to use the app!

By default, the app lets you connect to an optimal server location.

To use this feature, click the On button.

To disconnect, click the same button again.

If you would like to switch to another location, click the "More Options" icon.

The "Recommended" list of server locations offers the best connection rates and speeds

based on your current location.

You can also choose from the "All" tab, which has drop-down lists of all server locations

available.
