How fast can electricity travel? - Duration: 1:08.

Hello dear friends!

This week I would like to answer another interesting question:

How fast can electricity travel?

This is a very interesting question.

When you press the switch, the light goes on ... or off immediately.

That means electricity must be super-fast, right?

Hmmm. Imagine a long garden hose.

When you water the plants you turn on the water at the tap and immediately it starts gushing out of the end of the hose.

This happens because the hose is already filled with water and just turning on the tap forces the water out of the hose.

But power cables are so thin, how does that work?

Electricity doesn't need so much space, but the principle is the same.

If you put a light switch in a circuit, a "pressure" is exerted on the cable,

which stimulates particles in the power cable to move.

Just like the water in the hose!

Exactly. But while this flow of particles is quite slow in itself, the pressure builds almost at the speed of light.

And that's why the light goes on IMMEDIATELY.

Because electricity is really fast.

How to Use Option Buttons to Filter a Chart in Excel Tutorial - Duration: 4:39.

Hi. In this Excel tutorial we'll add Option Buttons to filter a chart as well as make the chart interactive. Before we start, make sure

you have the Developer tab available. If you do not, just right-click anywhere on your Ribbon and select Customize the Ribbon and,

under Main Tabs, select Developer and click OK.

On my screen is data on average daily temperatures for 4 weeks and a corresponding Line Chart. To add more

interactivity to the chart, we can add Option Buttons, or Radio Buttons, to filter the chart. We're

going to do this by assigning a macro to each button - but don't worry, I promise it'll be easy!

First, let's add a Group Box below the chart. You'll find this in the Developer tab. Click Insert and select Group Box

And we'll draw it out just below our chart. And this is going to help us better visually organize our Option Buttons. And it's especially helpful if

you have multiple Form Controls on your sheet, it'll make it feel more organized to group related items together.

So, let's add our button. Back in the Developer tab, in the Control section, click Insert again

and select the Option Button.

And inside our Group Box, simply draw out an Option Button.

And then, with the Button selected, right-click on it and select Copy. And we'll make 4 copies of this.

We should have 5 buttons in the end. Now, let's line up our buttons. And, by the way, if you prefer to have them snap into a cell, simply

hold down the Alt key while you drag them and that will help them

snap into a cell.

We'll make the Group Box a little bit bigger.

Next, we'll right-click on each one, select Edit Text and we'll change these to read Week1, Week2,

and so on,

with the last button

reading All Weeks.

And, by the way, if you're finding this tutorial helpful, don't forget to Like the video and subscribe to the channel for more Excel tips!

Next, we'll create a macro that will update the chart to show only the data for the week selected. So, I find this easier to do with an

existing chart, which is why I created this Line Chart ahead of time. Plus, if you record a macro that creates a new chart each time,

you might get a "flashing" effect on your screen every time you select an option and that can be distracting.

So, back in the Developer tab,

this time we'll select Record Macro.

And the first one will be for Week1 and we'll store it in this workbook - this way no matter who I send this file to they'll be able to use it as

well. So, click OK to begin recording. And, with the chart selected, I'm simply going to revise the data area only for Week1.

And then I'm going to place my cursor

just in a cell outside of the chart because, otherwise, after the macro runs, the chart data

will still be highlighted. And then we'll click Stop Recording. Then we'll repeat this

for the remaining weeks,

with the one for all the weeks

including the data for all weeks.

Then, once your macros have been recorded, select each Option Button, right-click on it and

assign a macro to it. So, for the Week1 button we'll assign the Week1 macro,

the Week2 macro to the second button, and so on.

And, now, you can filter your chart simply by selecting a button.

So, I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on how to add Option Buttons to filter a chart in Microsoft Excel. If you did, please make sure to Like the

video and don't forget to subscribe to this channel. Thanks!

10 Watch Rules YOU Can BREAK? Wear G-SHOCK With A SUIT? | RMRS Style Videos - Duration: 6:51.

Today we're talking about ten watch rules that are not created equal.

Some of these rules, you can bend them, you can even break them under the right conditions.

Other rules you need to follow.

Which ones are which?

Find out, gents, in today's video.

Rule number one: wear your watch on the non-dominant hand.

So if you're right-handed you'd wear your watch on the left hand.

What do you think, should you follow this rule?

In my opinion you don't have to.

You can easily break this rule.

Now one of the reasons that rule is there is simply: when you look at the pushers, you

look at the crown, you look at basically the way the watches are built, oftentimes they're

made to be worn on the left hand.

Most people are going to be right-handed, therefore that's why they're worn on the left

hand.

But you can choose to wear it on the right hand - wear it where you feel comfortable.

Rule number two: skip the bling.

Agree, disagree, what do you think?

Me personally, I want to agree with this, but I have to say, you know what?

You can bend this, you can break it, you can bust right through it.

If you've got the confidence to pull off a really flashy piece then go for it, because

watches, yes, they are functional, but they are jewelry nowadays, and if it's something

that you feel confident you love the way it looks, if you've got the confidence, go for

it.

Rule number three: pair your watch appropriately.

So if you're gonna wear a casual outfit wear a casual watch, if you're gonna wear a dressy

outfit wear a dressy watch.

And check out this infographic, which by the way I'll link to down in the description.

I've got the exact type of watch and what type of outfit it goes with.

Alright gents, what do you think?

Agree with the rules, agree with the chart, or are you gonna bend and break them?

When it comes down to it these are not rules, they're guidelines, so I think that you can

bend them and break them if you know what you're doing, because if you have an heirloom

piece you can wear that with pretty much anything.

And yes, with black tie you're not supposed to wear a watch but many men do because they

choose - 'Actually I just enjoy it, this watch means something to me.'

And to further illustrate this ,look at the outfit I'm wearing right here - a nice suit,

and the watch I'm wearing is a G-SHOCK.

Yes, this is a G-SHOCK with a suit.

You can pull it off.

This G-SHOCK right here, this is their MTG series.

If you haven't seen them - beautiful watches, I'm linking to them down in the description.

Now G-SHOCK is the paid sponsor of today's video, and would you like to see this watch

in a bit more detail?

Let's do it.

Alright gents, I'm going all professional on you, I'm going with the white gloves, and

this is the G-SHOCK MTG B1000-1A. 200 metres of water-resistance, shock resistance, in

addition it's got the dual dial world time, a full auto super illuminator LED light, stopwatch,

countdown timer, daily alarm, and a full auto calendar.

And let's talk about this G-SHOCK's tough solar technology.

I absolutely love how it can use any type of light, whether you're indoors or outdoors.

Under normal use, five months basically the power would last if you were not to expose

it to any light, and that's a pretty powerful battery right there.

So this timepiece, it connects to the G-SHOCK connected smartphone app, which I absolutely

love.

Basically, this enables you to go in there and set the world time, set the alarms from

the app.

And one of my favorite parts about this is that you can actually find your phone.

Yes, you can use your watch to find your phone to set off an alarm.

All right guys, as you can tell I absolutely love this watch.

I'm linking to it down in the description - just a beautiful watch, I love this one.

So the next rule: don't wear a watch that's too tight or too loose.

What do you think, agree, disagree?

And I am going to agree on this one, because when you wear a watch that's too tight you

can hurt your hand.

When you wear it that's too loose it's gonna go up and down, and this is not good for the

watch, it's more likely to break the band, and in the case of a mechanical watch it can

actually lead to failure in the mechanisms.

The next rule: when you're speaking with somebody don't check your watch.

Agree, disagree?

For me I'm gonna have to agree.

Now the advantage of a watch is that it's a lot, you know, less obvious than a cell

phone.

You can kind of look over there.

But when you check the time you are sendng the message, 'Hey, I've got to be somewhere,'

or, 'You're boring me.'

So be aware that you send that message.

The next rule is: don't touch another man's watch.

Agree, disagree?

I disagree with this one, and I've had conversations with their - we're talking $100,000 watches,

and they just take them off and they let me touch them.

I don't see why you can't touch another man's watch, IF he gives you permission.

That's probably the key.

All right, so the next rule match metals with metals match leathers with leathers.

They're talking about the band, and that leather matching your belt, matching your shoes.

And the metals - if you're gonna have a wedding ring, if you're gonna have like, metals on

your buckles or other pieces of jewelry, you want to keep it all the same.

What do you think - agree, disagree?

And the answer is, again, it's a base guideline.

It looks good, it's a good place to start, but hey - you like silver on your wedding

ring and you want a gold watch, or you want to go with something with a blend, you don't

have to follow that rule.

You've got maybe a dark brown, I could wear black with this if I so choose and I understand

I'm breaking that rule.

The next rule is to wear dark with dark, wear light with light - and they're usually talking

about the dial.

So do you agree, disagree?

And my answer is: I don't know where this rule came from, but I don't like it, and it's

not something I would follow.

I like to coordinate my watches with my outfits, and it's just something that I don't think

you have to follow this one at all.

Next up we've got the rule of proportions, and that is if you've got a smaller wrist

you're gonna go for a smaller watch case.

If you have larger wrists you can go for a larger watch case.

Agree, disagree?

And I'm going to, in general, agree with this one, but I do think you can bend and break

this rule.

Some watches many guys will think look better on them than others because of the size, but

there are particular watch brands, G-SHOCK being one of them, which you can wear a huge

watch and it looks great.

This watch right here, I have to admit I was surprised.

It really comes down to the placement of the lugs and the overall design of this.

The key is if you find a brand that suits you, that works with you, you can bend, you

can break this rule.

So this next rule is: do not wear the same watch every day.

Agree, disagree?

And I've got to agree with this one, because who can stop at one watch?

Once you get into this obsession, all of a sudden you just start collecting them - and

that's not so much a rule, I think that this is just something that happens to you when

you start getting into watches.

All right, gents - so I want to hear from you down in the comments.

Did we see eye to eye?

You agree or you disagree with some of my opinions?

I want to hear from you.

And if you liked this video, click on that like button.

If you're new to Real Men Real Style, click on that subscribe button.

I want to make sure that you get my latest videos, so make sure you hit that notification

bell as well.

And guys, I've got two more videos coming here with G-SHOCK, and if you've got some

ideas I want to hear from you.

So let me know in the comments what you would like to see.

I know some people have suggested I run over one of these with my truck, which I am open

to.

But guys, I want to hear from you guys in the comments.

And go check out G-SHOCK - I'm linking to their MTG series down in the description.

Just a beautiful watch, I really like this watch.

And that's it - take care, I will see you in the next video.

How Much Is $1 Worth To YOU? | The True Value of Money - Duration: 7:31.

How much is $1 worth to you?

Is it the old Axiom, is a dollar is a dollar is a dollar?

Or does a dollar have more inherent worth then what is readily apparent?

Let's talk about it.

Hey everyone Daniel here and welcome to Next Level Life a channel where you can learn about

Investing, debt, retirement, and many other general financial education videos because

the school's aren't going to do it for us.

So if any of those topics sound interesting to you or if you want to learn how to better

handle your money and have more financial freedom be sure to hit that subscribe button

and the bell next to my name to be notified every time I upload a video.

And if you want to further support the growth of this channel you can check out some of

the links I've left down in the description below which includes a 30-day free trial of

Audible and 2 free audiobooks of your choice as well as a list of some books on money I'd

recommend checking out, or you can share this video with a friend, and leave a comment below

letting me know what topics you'd like me to cover in future videos.

So how much is a dollar worth?

Well, that's a silly question you might say, it's worth a dollar.

Well yes, that is the face value but I would argue that a dollar could actually be worth

more than a dollar because in my opinion, and you may disagree, but I think there's

more to money than just the face value.

And today I'm going to explain my reasoning behind that statement.

So how can a dollar be worth more than a dollar?

Well there is the mathematical way and then there is the lifestyle way to look at this

and I'm going to quickly touch on both.

I'm sure you're all familiar with the concept of compounding interest right?

You put $100 into the stock market or the bank or somewhere where it earns some sort

of Interest, say 10% a year just to make the numbers easy, that means that after a year

you would have made $10 in interest on that $100 investment and would, therefore, have

$110 total.

And if we assume that whatever investment you put the money into performed roughly the

same the following year you would make another 10% except that the 10% return would be based

off that $110 that you had in the investment at the start of the year instead of the original

$100, so you would actually make $11 in interest in year 2 and so on and so forth.

What this means for us is that as long as we still have time between now and when we

wish to retire or whenever we wish to pull the money out of the investment there is a

good possibility that every dollar we put towards our retirement nest egg is actually

worth more than a dollar.

Now, of course, some investments are more volatile than others and sometimes they do

lose value, but even something perceived to be as volatile as the stock market tends to

go up more often than it goes down, so that's why I say there is a good possibility of the

value increasing beyond the original dollar.

Say, for example, if you put $1 into an investment making 10% per year today it would be worth

$1.10 in one year, $1.21 in 2 years $2.59 in 10 years, $6.73 in 20 years, and if you're

lucky enough to be investing pretty young, say in your twenties, it would be worth $45.26

in 40 years.

And in that 40th year that $1 would have actually, because of compound interest, earned you roughly

$4.11 in interest.

This is of course why it's important to start investing early because every year you wait

to invest what you're really losing is that last year's worth of compound interest.

For example, if you're 25 and you want to retire at 65 but you wait to invest until

you're 26 then your Investments are only compounding for 39 years at that point which means you

would lose that last $4.11 per dollar invested which on its own is almost 9.3% of your total

growth!

And also it's a lot easier to grow your net worth to a large sum if you have more time

for it to compound.

For example, given the assumption of a 10% average rate of return over the course of

40 years, you would need to invest about $22,095, 40 years before you retire in order to retire

with a million dollars.

Now obviously it wouldn't be worth a million dollars today because you have to account

for inflation and what not but you get the idea.

It's what makes the whole concept of Coasting Financial Independence possible.

For the record it works the same way with paying off debt, right?

Because the interest on our debts compound the same way that interest from our investments

compound each dollar we put toward paying off our debts lowers the principal on which

the interest is compounding.

And depending on the debt you are working on paying off your rate of return might be

3% or 5% for something like student loans or car loans or somewhere in the 12%-18% range

or higher for something like credit card debt.

Regardless of what the interest rate is, by lowering the principal by $1 you are no longer

paying interest on that dollar.

So, say you had a $1,000 loan that you had to pay off in 1 year.

If you put $1 extra toward that debt in the first month it would save you $0.05 in interest

over the course of that 1-year loan, which is really miniscule I understand I mean we're

talking about a nickel here, but do you see the point I'm trying to make.

That dollar lowers the principal by the full $1 and saved you $0.05 in interest payments

which means that $1 was effectively worth $1.05.

But like I said I'm pretty sure most of you know what compound interest is and therefore

know how a dollar can be mathematically worth more than the dollar assuming you invest it

over time or use it to pay down your debts.

What I want to briefly touch on in this video is the other side of it.

As many of my fellow members of the financial Independence retire early community will know

there is so much in this world that is worth so much more than having money.

As I've said before money is only as good as what you can do with it and unfortunately

most of what we actually tend to spend money on isn't really worth the money in the first

place as I've covered in my video on what a budget is really trying to teach you.

Once you understand the message behind that video Money takes on a whole new level of

value for you because a dollar becomes worth so much more than a dollar when you spend

so much fewer dollars to Live Your Dream Life.

For example shortly after I graduated from college I took a trip around the United States

for not too much more than $1,000.

I got to see so many things and meet so many great people for that thousand dollars that

by the end it ended up being worth a heck of a lot more than $1,000 for me.

And not only because of the experiences mind you, although yes those on their own would

have been worth the money, but also because of what it taught me about the value of money

and budgeting which was basically the idea of priorities.

I will give up 1000 Frappuccinos in order to get one more cross country trip or in my

case I'll probably be going overseas next time.

And because of that realization, I almost never waste money on stupid things anymore.

Because I know what is worth spending money on for me but I never would have been able

to realize that without those first $1,000 dollars.

To be perfectly honest I couldn't even begin to tell you how much money that has saved

me over the course of my life but I can tell you this much it's a heck of a lot more than

$1,000, therefore, by definition, every single one of those thousand dollars had to be worth

at least a little bit more than the $1 face value the government has assigned to them.

But that'll do it for me today once again if you enjoyed this video be sure to subscribe

and hit that Bell next to my name so that you'll be notified of all my future uploads.

I generally upload every single Friday, and if you have a friend that would be interested

in this kind of content be sure to share it with them and let's really get this information

out there and start our own Financial revolution.

10 Most Heart Touching Videos That Will Make You Cry - Duration: 9:33.

From a tear-jerking reunion between a man and lion to a dying professor's inspiring

speech, these are 10 touching videos that will make you cry!

10.

"Christian the Lion - Reunited" The story about Christian the Lion and his

caretakers is definitely one of the most touching examples of the undeniable bond between humans

and animals.

Christian was born in a Devon zoo in August 1969 and sold to the prestigious London department

store Harrod's when he was just a few months old.

He was then bought by two Australian men, John Rendall and Ace Bourke, who were working

in London at an antique furniture shop.

John and Ace took the cub home to their flat in Chelsea and named him Christian, as an

irony of Christians being fed to the lions in Ancient Rome.

John and Ace looked after Christian and treated him as a giant pet, but the lion quickly grew

and became impossible to control in the city environment.

This is when the men decided to take Christian back into the wild and set him free.

They contacted the Kenyan Wildlife Services for help, and after a long bureaucratic battle

the lion finally arrived at the Kora Nature Reserve in 1971.

Since Christian was extremely inexperienced in this environment, his first year in Kenya

was anything but easy and he had a lot to learn.

Luckily, his natural instincts were intact and he soon grew accustomed to the life in

the wild.

This is where the story gets touching so get your tissues ready!

A year after leaving Christian in Kenya, Ace and John returned to visit the now wild lion

and decided to record their momentous trip.

As the video shows, Ace and John walked into what had then become Christian's territory.

Conservationist George Adamson who worked at the Kora appears on the top of the hill,

about 100 m away, with Christian right behind him.

Christian stops and takes a long hard stare at the two men.

Taking his time, he slowly walks down the hill towards them.

The men then call out his name and the lion comes running towards them and jumps into

their arms.

What makes this video so touching is the fact that Christian not only recognized Ace and

John, but appears to be genuinely happy to see them again!

9.

"Last Minutes with ODEN" Here's another story about the special relationship

between humans and animals that is bound to make you weep!

When Jason Wood allowed filmmaker Eliot Rausch to document the day he put his cancer-stricken

dog, Oden, to sleep, he may not have realized that the result would be viewed over six million

times.

But fortunately he did, because "Last Minutes with ODEN" is one of the most heart-wrenching

videos out there.

Spanning a short six minutes, this video story shares an emotional voiceover about the owner's

decision to end his canine companion's suffering.

Limping on only three legs, but still as loyal as ever to his owner, Oden's time had come

and his job of serving unconditionally was completed.

Not only does the subject matter of this short clip make anyone watching it cry their eyes

out, but the film is also an exceptional piece of art.

The movie uses gorgeous angles and composition to stay close in on the details of both the

man and the dog.

You can literally see the acceptance in the watery eyes of Oden and the heart-breaking

pain in Jason as he bicycles around the city, trying to clear his mind.

Whether or not you're a dog person, this video won't leave you indifferent.

Before we move on with our list, hit that subscribe button right now so you don't

miss out on any of our upcoming content!

8.

"29 Years Old and Hearing Myself for the 1st Time!"

Sarah Churman is a Texas woman who at the age of 29 virtually overnight became the most

famous hearing healthcare patient in the world.

Her YouTube video has been watched over 27 million times!

On 27 September, 2011, the wife and mother of two young daughters had her recently implanted

Envoy Medical Esteem, a middle ear hearing system, activated for the first time.

Her husband, Sloan, videotaped the event, at his mother's suggestion.

After Sarah posted the video on YouTube, titled "29 years old and hearing myself for the

1st time!" millions of people around the world found themselves crying over their keyboards.

And it's not hard to see why this emotional video caught on.

It's pretty much the most heartwarming 90 seconds you'll ever see on the Internet.

When the technician turns on the hearing device and asks Sarah if she notices the difference,

she nods and then bursts into uncontrollable tears of joy.

For the rest of the video, she is alternately crying and laughing so hard that she can barely

get a word out, except at one point to exclaim, "My laughter sounds so loud!"

Sarah had been born deaf, and, despite wearing hearing aids from an early age, had never

been able to hear her own voice until getting her implant.

Talk about tears of joy!

7.

"Perseverance – Derek Redmond" The determination British runner Derek Redmond

showed at the 1992 Olympics is not only one of the best moments in sports history but

also one of the most touching videos you'll ever see.

A 400-metre record holder, in Britain, Redmond was at the peak of his athletic abilities

on the day he took his starting-line position during the Barcelona semi-finals in 1992.

His father was there to watch his Olympian son compete.

Everything seemed fine, during the run, until Redmond's hamstring snapped and fell to the

ground in excruciating pain.

Derek hobbled about 50m until he was at the 200m mark.

Then he realized it was all over.

He looked round and saw that everyone else had crossed the finishing line.

But Derek is not the one to give up easily, so he decided he was going to finish that

race if it was the last race he ever did.

All the doctors and officials rushed onto the track, trying to stop Derek but he was

having none of it.

Then, with about 100m to go, he became aware of someone else on the track.

At first, he didn't realize it was his dad, Jim, but then he heard a familiar voice telling

him, "Derek, it's me, you don't need to do this."

After Derek told his father he wanted to finish and get back in the semi-final, his father

simply replied, "OK.

We started this thing together and now we'll finish it together."

Derek's father managed to get him to stop trying to run and just walk and he kept repeating,

"You're a champion, you've got nothing to prove."

After Derek and his father hobbled over the finishing line, there was a standing ovation

by the 65,000 crowd and the heartwarming footage has since been used in adverts by Visa, Nike

and the International Olympic Committee as the ultimate symbol of perseverance and father's

love.

"Dog Gets Best 'What The Fluff' Challenge Surprise Ever"

Soldiers know, the only thing that could make coming home from a long deployment better

is coming home to your dog.

In the heartwarming video, the dog is at first completely unamused with its owner's attempt

at the viral "What The Fluff Challenge" - in which dog owners try to confuse their

pets by doing a peek-a-boo trick.

But this adorable pup then goes completely berserk when the big reveal goes down.

This emotional reunion was filmed in Livermore, California, by Lisa Lord whose son, Private

1st Class Kevin, arrived home after nine months in Fort Bragg military base where he had been

training for the Special Forces Qualification course.

Kevin was granted to come home to see family and friends before he would return back to

his base to continue the 18-month long intense training hoping to become a Green Beret, and

Lisa and her younger son, Jacob, thought it would be fun to do the challenge with a bit

of an emotional twist.

While the whole family was very excited and emotional to have the soldier at home, no

one was happier than the four-year-old Golden Retriever, Zephyr.

The video showing the four-legged friend completely beside himself when he comes face-to-face

with his owner is enough to leave anyone sobbing.

"Randy Pausch Last Lecture: Achieving Your Childhood Dreams"

Randy Pausch was an American professor of computer science, human–computer interaction,

and design at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In September 2006, Pausch learned that he had pancreatic cancer, and in August 2007,

he was given a terminal diagnosis: "3 to 6 months of good health left".

Besides his stellar career, Professor Pausch is remembered for his upbeat lecture titled

"The Last Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams".

The lecture quickly became a popular YouTube video and has so far been watched over 19

million times!

Pausch delivered his "Last Lecture", titled "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams",

at CMU on September 18, 2007.

The talk was modeled after an ongoing series of lectures where top academics are asked

to think deeply about what matters to them, and then give a hypothetical "final talk",

with a topic such as "what wisdom would you try to impart to the world if you knew it

was your last chance?"

Before speaking, Pausch received a long standing ovation from a large crowd of over 400 colleagues

and students.

When he motioned them to sit down, saying, "Make me earn it", someone in the audience

shouted back, "You did!"

Before beginning the lecture, Pausch explained his story of having pancreatic cancer and

only having 3 to 6 months to live, but still made a joke of it by saying that he was still

in the best shape of his life, proceeding to do a series of push-ups on stage while

still speaking.

To give you a taste of this incredibly emotional lecture, here's just one Professor Pausch's

quote to inspire you: "The brick walls are there for a reason.

The brick walls are not there to keep us out.

The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something.

Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don't want it badly enough.

They're there to stop the other people."

"Inside a Dog Retirement Home" This tear-jerker of a video by National Geographic

let's you take a peek inside a pet's retirement home.

The House With A Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary houses nearly two dozen dogs in Gaithersburg,

Maryland.

The residents of this sanctuary are dogs and cats who have lost their families and because

of their advanced age and various medical conditions, they have little chance of being

adopted.

But thanks to Sher Polvinale and a team of volunteers, these senior dogs are spending

quite a comfortable life as they spend their golden years in the retirement home.

Sher and her team spare no expense as they cater to the dogs' every need.

Although the medical needs of some of the dogs are expensive, costs are covered by short

term care plans and donations from supporters.

Even for dogs with walking impairments, House With a Heart makes sure they have the room

and equipment to play and exercise.

Because of her devotion to the care and attention to the dogs, Sher hardly ever leaves her house.

To her, the ultimate fulfillment is being able to spend every moment with the dogs and

tend to their needs.

The resident dogs come from all walks of life—many of them come from shelters or from owners

who have retired to nursing homes or passed away.

They may have lost their previous families, but they find a new one at House With a Heart

with whom they can live out their last few years with.

"Fred Rodgers Acceptance Speech - 1997" If you haven't seen it, Fred Rogers' acceptance

speech for a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 1997 Emmys is a fascinating watch and

one of the most touching videos you can find on the Internet.

After being introduced as "the best neighbor any of us has ever had," by actor Tim Robbins,

Mr. Rogers takes the stage amidst loud applause.

In a crowd of snobbish celebs wearing expensive designer clothes, humble, gray Presbyterian

minister sticks out - not just by virtue of his age, but also by his shy demeanor.

There's nothing fake about Mr. Rodgers.

What happens next is one of the most memorable award show moments.

Mr. Rogers steps up to the microphone, and issues an order.

"Would you just take, along with me, 10 seconds to think of the people who have helped

you become who you are?

Those who have cared about you and wanted what was best for you in life.

I'll watch the time."

At first the audience chuckles a little – is this a joke?

But as Mr. Rodgers looks down at his watch, you can see that he's dead serious, and

the entire room falls silent.

And then, as the camera pans the hall, you see that Mr. Rodgers is once again working

that old magic of his.

People are biting their lips and wiping the corners of their eyes.

Makeup is running and you can hear faint sighs.

It took this gentle host of a children's program just 10 seconds to strip a television

award show of its pretentiousness and injecting a moment of real emotion into it.

If this doesn't make you cry, then nothing will!

"Sports Illustrated Kids 2012 SportsKids of the Year: Conner and Cayden Long"

What if someone you loved couldn't play sports?

He or she couldn't feel what it's like to catch a ball, see a shot hit the back of

soccer net, or cross a finish line.

In 2012, Conner Long was nine years old.

His little brother Cayden was seven.

But Cayden couldn't do a lot of things his big brother could.

At four months old, Cayden was diagnosed with a condition called hypertonic cerebral palsy,

which left him unable to walk or talk on his own.

Playing sports is a great way for brothers to bond, but it seemed to be out of the question

for the Longs - until Conner had a brilliant idea.

In 2010, Conner and Cayden started participating in triathlons together.

Conner would swim while pulling Cayden in a raft, bike with his little brother, tow

behind him in a trailer, and push the trailer when they ran.

This inspiring pair of brothers from White House, Tennessee, traveled up and down the

East coast to compete in races.

Their amazing determination and spirit is why the Long brothers were chosen as the 2012

Sports Illustrated Kids SportsKids of the Year and the accompanying video on the Sports

Illustrated Kids YouTube channel will not only make you bawl your eyes out but will

also inspire you to take on any challenges you may be facing!

"Carl Sagan - Pale Blue Dot" Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot is one of those

videos that can thaw the coldest of hearts.

Carl Sagan was an American astronomer, astrophysicist, author, and science popularizer whose PBS

television series Cosmos inspired generations across the world.

Pale Blue Dot is a photograph of planet Earth taken on February 14, 1990, by the Voyager

1 space probe from a record distance of about 6 billion kilometers.

In the photograph, Earth's apparent size is less than a pixel and our planet appears as

a tiny dot against the vastness of space, among bands of sunlight reflected by the camera.

Voyager 1, which had completed its primary mission, was leaving the Solar System, when

it was commanded by NASA to turn its camera around and take one last photograph of Earth

across a great expanse of space - at the request of none other than Carl Sagan.

During a public lecture at Cornell University in 1994, Carl Sagan presented the image to

the audience and shared his reflections on the deeper meaning behind the idea of the

Pale Blue Dot.

His speech was subsequently turned into this touching video.

In the video you can see the famous photograph of our planet while Sagan narrates, "Our

planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark.

In our obscurity – in all this vastness – there is no hint that help will come from

elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

It is up to us.

It's been said that astronomy is a humbling, and I might add, a character-building experience.

To my mind, there is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant

image of our tiny world.

To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly and compassionately with

one another and to preserve and cherish that pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."

Week 23 Pregnancy Update | Starting Hypnobabies - Duration: 5:55.

hey guys it's Danielle with Danielle gets it done and this is my pregnancy

update for a week 23 baby is the size of a grapefruit

which last week was a coconut that's confusing to me maybe I'm wrong but to

me a grapefruit seems smaller than a coconut but anyways that is what the app

says it's almost 12 inches long and the baby is forming nipples and becoming

accustom to certain sounds I wonder if it likes when I film YouTube videos okay

so the highlight of the week I would say is that both my husband and my son felt

the baby kick for the first time I've been feeling it from the outside for

three or four weeks a long time but they were never in the room at exactly the

right time and of course it's easier for me to feel it but one night my husband

felt the baby and then the next night my son felt it and that was just special

especially for my son because that was his first time feeling a baby kick and

it's just getting him so much more excited another thing about this week is

I started my hip no babies home study course now you aren't supposed to start

this early technically I decided to start early we will see if I regret it

it is a time commitment so I'll probably do a whole video or two dedicated on

this but I'll also leave a link below if you want more information it's basically

a program of kind of self-hypnosis or meditation tracks that you listen to

daily among other things to help you prepare for a more comfortable and

easier labor or as they call it birthing time and I'm really liking it

so far it is so relaxing I had one day before I did it

it was like a leg cramp I had a really bad leg cramp and I did my hip no babies

track and it just instantly went away not instantly but you know as I listened

to it so it's really interesting and I feel like I'm learning a lot of new

skills this was an okay week I'm still throwing up maybe three or four times a

week my energy level was a little worse than last week unfortunately so it's

just a struggle for me to get things done but you know I am pretty pregnant

and trying to be gracious to myself I had a lot of acne pop up this week I

feel like my skin has been pretty good this pregnancy pretty clear but kind of

especially right here I've just gotten a lot of red spots and acne and on my nose

as well so that's kind of a bummer but I guess it happens really a random thing

that started happening is I cannot sleep on my back I've never been a back

sleeper I am a stomach sleeper or a side sleeper I literally cannot fall asleep

on my back and I have been waking up on my back a lot like it happens a couple

times a night and it's just weird because I hate sleeping on my back but

also I don't think that's I mean I know it's not the best position to sleep in

because the oxygen level isn't so good when you're on your back I think is what

it is I'm not too worried I'm thinking I

probably roll over on my back and then wake up right away because it's it isn't

really that comfortable to breathe like if I lay on my back to do some exercises

it's not that comfortable but it's just weird and I don't really know if I can

do anything about it I already sleep with pillows on either

side that's what I read to do to prevent you from rolling over but it doesn't

stop me so it's just kind of weird and I'm just still so excited

and I said last week I started getting really excited for just the baby to be

born and I think I figured out why so we are in November and my son was born at

the end of November so I think all of these different things that happen in

November and for Thanksgiving are bringing and me being pregnant

our bringing back memories of my son being born and it's just getting me so

excited I'm finally feeling the urge to nest which is good we need to get my

son's new room painted and then we'll move him and open up the nursery and

then I'm just so excited to start kind of organizing everything and getting

things ready so exciting I will show you my bump

these aren't maternity pants so there's a little bit of a weird line there but

yes I am getting so excited and thank you for watching a please subscribe if

you aren't subscribed and I will see you next week for week 24 I hope you have a

wonderful day and whatever your plans are I hope you get them done bye guys
