Andrew Zimmern Cooks: Beef Stew - Duration: 3:59.

Braising. Six months a year, all I want to do is eat braised food, meals in a bowl.

First thing you want to do is you want

to cut this in strips and then we're

just gonna cut it in cubes. My rule of thumb is that I want to be able to bite

it. We'll add our garlic. I have some meat

that we cut to get ready for this, we'll

throw that in there. Wine. Classic Daube

Provencal made with red wine, which is

just a fancy French word for a type of

stew. Next thing we want to do is we want

to put our bouquet garni. Got some thyme,

bay leaf, parsley. You can just roll that

together, and you just put that in there.

This goes into the refrigerator for 24

hours or into a Ziploc bag. Occlude the

air by squeezing it, seal it and let it

sit for 24 hours. When you come back the next day and get ready to cook, all we

did was poured what was in that bowl

through this sieve, collected the wine

and you can see how the color has

changed, because all those meat juices

are in there. Next thing that we want to do, put our meat on our cutting board.

I seasoned that pretty aggressively with

salt. Pretty aggressively with pepper.

I've preheated a very thick, enameled

casserole on my stove.

And a couple of handfuls at a time. Please don't overcrowd your cooking

surface. It's not going to cook properly. What we're looking for is to brown this

meat so we get that crusty Maillard

Reaction. So they're nicely browned. The

next thing that we're gonna do is we're

going to caramelize our onions. And you can

see all the little sticky bits, the Fond

in the bottom of that pan. That looks

beautiful, don't need to scoop any fat

out. When you're caramelizing onions,

remember, if you want to pull some water out of them, sprinkle some salt on them.

Those onions have browned enough. They're glassy, they're sweet. They've taken on a

little more color. So my cooked beef, and

the juices go back in, as does that

herb bundle and the wine. Now this wine,

remember, is cloudy because it has all those

beef juices in that. Our wine's reduced by

about half. Add a few cups of stock. So

make sure that once you've added your

stock, this comes to a nice moving boil

so it keeps cooking when it goes into the oven. This is a nice sturdy boil.

Let's go to the oven.

So this has been in the oven for about 90 minutes, so it's time to add some of

our seasonings and vegetables for the

final cook. We'll add our fennel, our carrots,

our potatoes. Salt there. I'm just going

to bring it to a little bit of a boil.

All right. Back to the oven.

Red wine vinegar, a tablespoon of Dijon.

Our bouquet garni has served its purpose.

A little bit of salt. A little bit more

pepper. And I'm gonna let this simmer for

another minute or so. And I have these

beautiful herbs here. A little fresh dill

and parsley. I'm gonna stir that in once

the heat has been turned off. We are not making beef with gravy. We're making a

Daube Provence. This is one of those, you know, wintertime stunners that's good

12 months a year, right?

Simple, easy, delicious.

Fallout 76 Building - How to get Metal Walls and Door (Fallout 76 Vendors) - Duration: 4:07.

hey guys welcome back to another fallout 76 video no today I'm going to take you

through how to get the metal walls the metal door and the metal switch they're

the sweats allows you to use electric doors ie the garage door open and close

it safely without having to unhook your generator now as you can see I have a

full metal base this was obtained by plans from a vendor and a lot of people

ask where I get this constantly even though I've told them and the actual

videos themself know the best friend as I find we took a supermarket which is

down here and Harpers Ferry vendor which is just north of here now these vendors

seem to have a hell of a lot of building blueprints Harpers Ferry being here I'll

try and centralize about more so Jesus to see if you're watching a mobile

device these are the best two that I find that now I will go to we took a

shopping center no finally guys in desk or two pointing this out to me a couple

days ago these are the best vandals that they've been able to find as well know

when you get to the supermarket you will spawn right next to the vendor know when

you get here you may not get the metal walls or metal door straight away you

may have to several whole by several hope I mean disconnect from the server

you're on jump back into a game going to new server and there you go you'll be

able to find them now as you can see he has a metal doors here is your array of

plans sometimes you'll come to one and it's mainly armor or it's a mixture of

building plans and armor by seem to find he has the best bellman plans no better

mind that these roughly cost with 520 caps if you're looking to go and sale

each vendor only has a maximum of 200 cups so bear that in mind you have to

really have the carts for you get there there's plenty of videos out there I

hope to get cap star shoes and everything else very quickly very easily

it's a little party too much about that haven't been very honest because you can

get them quite easily at the moment I'm sure that will be patched in the coming

weeks or 476 thought because it's something

that's shown up quite a lot at the moment now when you get to Harpers Ferry

it's a bit of a different story then this can be quite an aggressive area and

what a change of supermutants as well just be about in mind folder it than

taking no ignore any e.i if you just want to get the Bell plans go for the

suede or always closer behind make a scotch to shisha through here up this

alley you will find the vendor know at this vendor you can get bundles the

sweat the metal walls as well knowing again and and I read if Ellen plans he

has a lot of the NZ plans as well hopefully pull tables lights decorations

everything that a lot of people were asking for know for exterior walls etc I

would say the supermarket is a better place but for interiors this is

definitely the best vendors to use by a longshot

these are the two vendors that I always use for my plans now they make me better

vendors out there I do know that Grimm the wandering vendor the supermutant

does have some very good bps on him as well but he can be quite

difficult to find at times so guys it's just a quick video to explain where you

get the metal walls the metal doors the sweat cheese and an array of different

building plans cuz I know a lot of people have been asking where exactly

you get these plans and message is a short claps trees out where to get them

to see if you're hunting around or waiting for me to reply in comments as

well because I can take a lot away all known again Jo to walk and real life

things that have going on at the minute so guys thanks for something by I'll

catch you in the next one

How to Make the Quilt-As-You-Go Placemats from June Tailor | A Shabby Fabrics Sewing Tutorial - Duration: 15:32.

Hi it's Jennifer from Shabby Fabrics. I have a fun project for you today;

Quilt-As-You-Go Placemats using the June Tailor pre-printed

batting. This is a new project for me. It's a new product for me. I discovered

this at Quilt Market and it has been so much fun ever since making projects. There's

other projects we'll be bringing to you as well. If you haven't already subscribed

to our YouTube channel just do it now. We have so many fun projects coming your

way and of course we have a nice array of videos already recorded that you can

be watching at your convenience 24 hours a day and be able to make something fun

for yourself or for a gift. And I love to decorate for Christmas, so of course when

we got this pre-printed batting I said let's do something fun for Christmas

because I love to have a beautiful table set for our family dinner on Christmas

Eve and this is the Swell Christmas Collection by Moda Fabrics. It's a retro

collection. I really love everything about it. The retro Santa just the

colors really spoke to me and I think the placemats came out adorable.

What I love about Quilt-As-You-Go is when you don't have a Quilt-As-You-Go project at

the end you're contemplating quilting it yourself. I'm not as accomplished with

long-arm quilting or quilting on my sewing machine as I'd like to be, so it's

not necessarily one of my best contributions to a project. So at the end

of this there is none of that. It's already quilted for you because you

quilt as you go! So when you buy the, this is called the Jakarta placemat, that's

the style of this particular one and June Tailor has other ones as well, again,

coming your way in other videos. When you open up your package of the pre-printed

batting this is what it looks like. It's batting as you would expect to see but

there's lines and there's numbers on it so it's telling you how to work through

the project and where to place your strips. The instructions included with

the batting are wonderful. Right – spot-on. We really love that. No each of that – that

makes six placemats so I think that's a great that's a nice amount if you have a

bigger – of course table – just buy multiple sets of

that. Now we have kits available using the Swell Christmas, but you might have

your own favorite Christmas collection and you want to just get the batting,

that will be available as well. So when you get your batting, first thing, is of

course when you unfold that there's going to be some wrinkles here and there.

They're very clear in the instructions to not iron the batting ahead of time. It

can cause shrinkage, it can cause a little bit of warping, and we want to

make sure we're not doing that, so don't be tempted to do that. But again they'll

remind you of that in the instructions. The first thing we did is we cut apart

our six placemats and we left about a one-inch perimeter around the placemat

grid itself. So I will put that aside and that's what they look like cut out.

You've got your placemat itself and then we have our one-inch perimeter so that's

how we recommend you go ahead and cut those out and of course the pattern is

letting you know – the included instructions I should say – are

letting you know what length to cut your strips in order to achieve the placemat,

because of course these pieces here are not going to be cut. They're going to be

much shorter than your longer strips, so you'll want to determine where to put

each fabric because that'll determine how long you're gonna be cutting those

strips. So let's bring out our first, the first stage of this. We cut our fabrics

per the included instructions with a pre-printed batting. Those are ready to

go and off to the side. We chose our backing fabric. I thought that was

adorable little Santa's on red and we used a Spray Basting so that we didn't

have to worry about pinning all this together and we just smoothed everything

out. That really helped to relax some of the wrinkles that were in the batting

and now it's mostly flat, and in the end you can obviously iron in the very end

but just don't iron it up front. So let me just take these strips off and show you

how this works. It's so fun! I know I know I'm just telling my family right now out

there you're all going to be getting some placemats because I just really

thought this was fun and it's so useful! We love – everyone loves to decorate the

table with pretty placemats. So as you can see

hopefully the overhead camera can see. This is number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,

6, and 7. So that's one of the first things I want to mention is you start in

the middle and you kind of hop left and right of that. You don't just start here

and move in a direction or start here and move in a direction. You start here

and you're kind of hopping back and forth. Again, the instructions mention

that but for number 1 it looks like that's my main strip right here. Let's

look at that. Let me turn that so it's in my orientation. My first strip here is

this one. Now I'm just going to make sure that my strip fills this space and of

course some of that's going to be beyond that but you need to at least fill that

space and a little more is fine. Now one thing I want to mention right

away before we even take this to the sewing machine, is you can see this

fabric does bleed on to this other Lane I would call it, but when you're actually

sewing these strips down to the batting and the backing you want to make sure

your stitching begins at this line and ends at this line and doesn't lead into

that other Lane it would seem benign but in this case

it's not. It's very important that you begin on that junction and you end on

that and you don't go beyond. So this is piece number 1 right here. That's just

going to lay there and you're making sure your corners are filling here to

here. Piece number 2 looks like that's gonna be this one here because it says

number 2. You would think that you would just lay that like that wouldn't

you? That's my natural instinct is to just

lay them because that's how we do in quilting, right? We match those sides up

and then we do our quarter-inch seam. The problem is look what happened. We didn't

fill. You'll have to stagger that, so here's what I recommend:

we know we're trying to fill this space. So go ahead and lay your piece where it

belongs so you know you have absolutely filled that space. Now just simply flip

that over without shifting it and let's put some pins on there and

we're going to take that to a sewing machine and it's a standard quarter-inch

seam allowance just like you have done and like I mentioned before I'm not

going to start here I'm gonna start at that line sewing a quarter of an inch

and I'm gonna stop right at that line, not bleeding into the other section. So

let's go over to that. I chose a thread, I think we've got a red in here

because I wanted that to coordinate actually with the back of the project.

That's really the only thread that we'll be showing. So let's take that over to the

sewing machine and sew a quarter-inch seam. So I'm gonna make sure, I'm gonna lower my

pressing foot, presser foot, and I'm just gonna adjust that so I think I'm

starting at that line. I feel like I'm there and you don't need to do a back-

stitch. You can just keep going. Now I'm gonna stop where I believe that line is.

Let me go needle-down on that real quick. Beautiful, okay, so just like before,

they're recommending to not iron. Now my natural instinct every time I have a

seam is I want to press it. But what we have instead we're gonna still press to

the outside this is the Clover this is a press and I love how I can get a seam

and get everything nice and smooth without heat. This is one of those

instances where this is the exact tool you want because it gets the job done

without applying the heat and potentially distorting that.

Now that's piece number 2, so looking at our sample, this was our piece 1,

piece 2, number 3 is right here, and that's this cute little – I love this. I

love plaid anyway and when it's on point like that that's even better. So just

like before, remember how we're not gonna just line that up side-by-side because

we're trying to fill that rectangle. So let's go ahead

and fill the rectangle until we know we've got that space, then we'll go ahead

and go right sides together, and let's just sew one more strip real quick. You get the

idea of how this is really so straightforward. Again, the instructions

are fantastic. They really do set you up for success.

And we were able to get all six placements sewn and bound it's a it's a

full-day project, but I think that's a fun day spent doing a lot of just fun

sewing where you know you're going to be successful. I love that. So let's go back

again we're going to make sure we start with that blue line and we're not going

to go beyond that. So let's lower that and if we need to

adjust our starting point just a touch – I'm too far back so let me

just scoot that about right there. I don't need a backstitch I'm just going

to start sewing.

All right. I love these pins, I love this pin cushion.

They're so – when I first started quilting I thought whatever pins are pins.

I had a little strawberry you know I think we all did pin cushion. I'd spill

my pins down again and I'd you know pick them up as best I could. I love how this

just is magnetic and it lines them all up. And then you have a little

scoop here that you can easily grab that versus kind of just digging. So very

well-thought-out magnetic pincushion and those are the

Clover pins. So again we'll use our Roll N Press, press to the outside. I'm

going to go ahead and get that seam nice and flat, and you will just continue in

the same fashion going back and forth. Piece number 4 is here so you're just

going to look and see what that is. Let me turn that around so I have the same

site picture. You'll put your pieces here, there, and you're going to continue here

and there and there. Now, let me take it to the stage where we have this main

portion done. Let me just fast-forward to that real quick and I'll show you what's

next so you have this is what the picture looks like, so keep in mind this

is the goal, this is where we're going, and this is what we have. Now it's pretty

obvious that this amount that's hanging over needs to go somewhere else because

I need to be able to put this on and I need to be able to see the line. Right

now I can't see where to sew. This is why it was so important that we never sewed

over that line, because of what we're going to do right now is we're going to

basically roll back that batting – let me move these out of the way – so we'll roll this

back. I'm even going to kind of roll this on the side

like this. So you see my blue line right here? I want to see that in the overhead camera.

I'm gonna roll that back til I can see that blue line. There it is everything is

smoothed out, I'm gonna bring my ruler, and I might even grab my bigger ruler

real quick, because I want to get this in one fell swoop. Now be careful that that

ruler is just slightly over the batting just slightly beyond that. The last thing

you want is to cut the batting it'll ruin the project. So I can see if I'm a

little too tight as I bring my rotary cutter toward it I could cut that, so I'm

going to go just slightly beyond that and I'm almost pressing this way, flared

away, so that I don't catch that batting. Okay and you will repeat the

same thing of course on the other side and you'll do the same thing here. You

can actually – you don't even have to do this part now because in

the end you'll square that up. You get the idea. I can now see Lane 10 and you'll

repeat the same thing right here so that you can then put your sides on in the

same way that you did and then you'll put this on in the same way you did

before. So let's fast-forward to that as well. So we were able to clean up, we put

our sides on, now we're going to come back with our red strips which are right

here, put those on, and now you've already got your line up here. You see your blue

line. So if I'm lining up on my blue from here to here I can see my blue line here.

I see my blue line there, I know I'm lined up. Let's just double-check it one

more time. Mama said measure twice cut once.

Okay, so I'm gonna establish that and then I would probably put that right

alongside here because I want that to be straight. I want everything to be

parallel and you're just going to square up your project at this point. Cleaning

up those edges all the way around and then here. And we can see that line this

one's easy. It's going to just be right along that

fabric right there and then of course you'll just prepare your binding as you

normally would. You're used to doing that and we bound

those just like you'd bind any quilt you've ever bound in the past. Just want

to square this one up. Okay and you're ready to put binding on your placemats.

So if you've never done a Quilt-As-You-Go project, I can't tell you how much fun

this is, and we have more June Tailor projects coming up using the pre-printed

batting so be sure to pick up your kit or your pre-printed batting from Shabby

Fabrics.

Whilce Portacio on creating Wetworks - Duration: 3:24.

Whilce Portacio on Wetworks Omar: Where did the idea for Wetworks come

from?

Because you're the one who created Wetworks, where did that come from?

Whilce: Well, I'm a military brat, my dad was in the Navy.

Before my dad retired, I spent four years in Hawaii, and before that, four years in

a place called Midway Island, which is at the very, very far western tip of the Hawaiian

Islands, okay?

It's one mile, like two miles island, and big battle there in World War II and there've

been Navy Barrage battle.

And so, one-eighth of the island was sea men, and that's where the housing was, that's where

the exchange was and stuff, and the rest of it was forest restricted area, but it was

a preteen.

Omar: Yeah, so you wanted to go and get in trouble?

Whilce: Yeah.

So, that whole area was our kingdom to explore.

In fact, to get to my club, you had to dig around all over our Island and if you found

your own bayonet shovel, you could join my team.

But that's where I started playing because, I mean, seriously, you could walk a mile into

the forest and there's a pill box.

I mean, a full pristine pill box that they didn't get hit at the time and they just left

it out there.

There were big huge artillery installation things.

There were warehouses full of stuff.

There were empty amour shell casings this big and stuff.

I mean, so as a little kid, you could imagine yourself.

Omar: In that world and now using all that stuff that's around you and experimenting

with it and having fun with it.

Whilce: So, all my dream, not all my dream, all my fantasies as a little bratty kid was

developed there.

And then, so when it came time to Image, where; okay, we're going to do this, and; oh no,

we've got to actually create something first before we try it, you know, this is our own

stuff, we're not working for somebody like Marvel.

And so, of course, we were all practical enough, okay, do what you're always told as a writer,

right?

Omar: Yeah.

Whilce: Do what you know and that's what I knew, I knew military guys.

And then, Brandon Choi, who wrote both Wildcats and Wetworks, we locked up because he was

in San Diego, other than being Jim's best friend, he was in San Diego because he was

trying out for the Seals.

But he, I think sprained his ankle on the course, and so, was thinking about what to

do; whether go back into law or join up with us.

And it turns out he, obviously, he was going to join the Seal, he wanted to be a Navy Seal.

So, we got together and hit it out for a while and he then brought into the mix; oh, Classic

Monsters, the copyright's up, it's free now, it's open, we can use it.

And so, of course, we needed an enemy.

Omar: So, you got it.

Tik Tok Predator EXPOSED - THEBUDDAY - Duration: 5:26.

demographic on the wildly popular app tik-tok is no secret yeah kids under 14

and then you've also got dudes over 40 and then there's a guy known on tik-tok

as the buddy you might recognize him from the bad boys meme where he wore a

leather jacket and like twirled handcuffs so that was from his tick-tock

account and he's been using it to gain notoriety and to use that notoriety to

groom underage girls welcome back to inform overload I'm Charlotte Ober and

why don't you smash that subscribe for trending news that is actually relevant

to you before I get into this video if you guys have heard of any more

allegations against tick tock predators make sure you let us know in the

comments or through social media so I came across a video about the buddy on

Jo Brees Channel and when I was finished watching it I felt like deeply disturbed

it was about an accused tick tock predator known as the buddy if you

haven't seen Jo Brees channel highly recommend I'll link it in the

description below there are also other youtubers like Bionic Pig who have also

made videos on the allegations against the buddy so here's what we know the

buddy a is a 26 year old man who gained a pretty sizable following on musically

now tick tock Instagram and snapchat so the buddy is known for his really weird

tick tock account where he posts these awkward cringy videos like this one what

do they really want if they want a Batman in the streets and a Joker in the

sheets that's what women want guys a Batman in the streets and a Joker in the

sheets it's not what we want just for your information like I definitely don't

want no Heath Ledger Joker's in my bed that is scary

wise house yes yep so no one could really tell if this guy was just being

weird or trolling or if he was a legit pervert but now it seems that the last

option is more likely the case his videos have made him pretty much the

poster boy of creeps on tik-tok and it's hard to find a tick-tock cringe

compilation on YouTube without a video of the buddy in it truthfully his videos

make me feel really uncomfortable as it is but this story gets even creepier the

buddy also chooses to do tick-tock duets with obvious minors so if you don't have

tick-tock there's a feature called duets where you can add onto someone's

lip-sync video and play around with like the frame so that your videos fit

together and the but a does these duets with really

girls like some of these girls look no older than 16 maybe even as young as 12

and here's the but a pretending to bite off one of their hands oh and I forgot

this little number and another of the but a pretending to kiss a very obvious

minor but wait it gets worse it seems that the predatory behavior doesn't only

happen through tik-tok videos the buddy has allegedly tried to contact young

girls and groom them most specifically a musically user called bit ho gee who was

also underage came forward and said that the buddy sent her some really nasty

videos and photos so when she did this other underage girl started reaching out

to her to share similar experiences the buddy then came out with a video where

he said that someone hacked his phone and he somewhat accused the girl who

came forward with the allegations the buddy then blocked bit ho G so several

underage girls have come forward to say that the buddy would have extremely

inappropriate conversations with them over DMS and text girls as young as 14

have said that the buddy sent them dick pics here's a DM conversation he's

literally a sick freak I'm 15 now but when he sent me the dick pic and was

talking to me all gross and I was 14 and he knew I was 14 I would have sent you

the dick pic so you have more evidence but I don't want to make you

uncomfortable and then she sent it that is a dick pic it's blurred out but

that's a dick pic hard to tell if it belongs to the buddy I mean I haven't

seen that but like you get what I mean so yes deeanne's can be faked but then

there's also a lot of really gross videos out there that clearly show the

but a making sexual gestures and being creepy as creepy can be to be quite

frank he has also tried to meet up with an

underaged girl but as of right now nothing appears to have happen in real

life because of all these allegations the buddies Instagram accounts tik-tok

accounts and snapchat accounts have been disabled so as of right now the word on

the street is that he's been arrested there isn't a lot of information about

his arrest but if you have any information please let us know it was

really hard to find any evidence against him that wasn't in a YouTube video the

mainstream media probably doesn't know about it yet but for now I'm gonna

lighten the mood and stop talking about this creep and respond to some comments

these are from our video Princess Diana had a secret daughter lil Val said I

love channel and I always click the bell for
