Welcome to WARN, Today we discuss.
What is AESA and PESA Radar and difference between a PESA and an AESA radar?
Both AESA and PESA radars are (generally) pulsed radars.
AESA as well as modern PESA both are frequency agile and can frequency hop over different
frequencies at different times.
Both can have narrowband or wideband mode, and both can be used for ECM, passive scanning,
beam-forming, etc.
The primary difference is in the source of the high-power RF signal.
How is a radar pulse formed?
A digital pulse command is created by the radar computers which tell it to send a pulse
out in some direction.
The receiver/exciter (REX) creates the baseband pulse, which is really just a square wave,
which is used to modulate the Intermediate Frequency (IF).
Signal processing is applied to the IF pulse to compress it, shape it into efficient Gaussian
forms, etc.
Then the IF pulse is used to modulate an oscillator that is operating at the final RF frequency.
This refers to the final up-converted frequency that will be used for transmission over the
air.
This modulated RF signal goes through high power amplification and is sent to the antenna
for transmission.
It is only this last step, the high-power RF generation/amplification that differs between
AESA and PESA.
In PESA, there is a single high-power transmitter source, often an older device like a Klystron
or a Traveling-wave tube.
These devices can amplify RF signals at microwave frequencies up to very high powers and then
there is a single antenna horn radiating the signal out.
After the signal is radiated there is an RF lens.
An RF lens is an array of thousands elements that can selectively delay a portion
of the RF signal.
So by delaying the radiated RF signal in a particular shape, beam shapes can be formed
that allow the beam to be steered or spoiled to serve specific purposes.
In AESA, the thousands of phase-shifting elements are also themselves transmitters and antennas.
The IF signal from the REX is fed to each of the AESA elements, along with a digital
command which tells the element how to delay the signal to form a particular beam.
The individual element does the RF up-conversion and power amplification, along with phase
shifting in order to form and steer a beam.
Each radiating module is much less powerful than the Klystron or the TWT, but the sum
of all of the AESA elements allows for high total power levels.
Contrary to other answers posted here, the difference in capability between AESA and
PESA is less than you might think.
Both AESA and PESA can be low probability of intercept (LPI).
Being LPI isnt determined by anything special the modules are doing.
Its just due to the fact that you can change your frequency with every dwell, so that over
time the average power level on any particular frequency channel is kept very low.
Both AESA and PESA can do this.
Its more typical to do this on AESA because the oscillators and tuned amplifiers are more
modern solid-state devices, but you can do the same thing with modern PESA as well.
Also, the suggestion that you can change the frequency with every single pulse is true,
but not very practical.
Few radars do that.
Unless the radar is looking up at the sky, a radar signal will be contaminated with clutter
(energy returns from other objects in the scene).
Typically this clutter is not moving, so Doppler processing is used to separate out the clutter
from the moving signals.
This is particularly important with ships doing horizon search or with airplanes that
are looking downwards (strong ground return).
In order to do Doppler processing, you must send out a series of pulses all at the same
RF carrier frequency.
This dwell may last up to several milliseconds until the required number of pulses is received,
and then the radar can switch to a new frequency for the next dwell.
Different methods and waveforms can be used if an airplane is trying to be stealthy, but
radar situational awareness is also minimized in those circumstances.
Both AESA and PESA can utilize large bandwidths for a single pulse.
Wideband modes are typically created with separate hardware paths in the system
that utilize more advanced wideband modules that are linear over a much larger range of
frequencies.
Wideband pulses can be compressed hundreds of times tighter than narrowband pulses allowing
extremely detailed range resolution.
This feature is generated by the REX at the IF and then is up-converted to RF by either
an AESA or a PESA transmitter.
Both AESA and PESA can be electronically steered so that a flat panel antenna can have
a wide viewing angle.
These antennas can only be steered so far, though.
After a certain point, the phase shifting is no longer practical to form a coherent
beam.
So on ships, for example, youll see 3 or 4 faces of flat panel antennas around the
ship.
Of course an antenna can receive energy from any direction, but the mainlobe of the antenna
can only be steered to within moderate limits and the mainlobe is what you want for directional
reception.
Energy received through sidelobes will be significantly reduced in power, and you wont
be able to determine what direction it is being received from, so very rarely is sidelobe
energy used for target detection.
Sometimes, special sidelobe pointing is used to cancel sidelobe interference out of the
mainlobe.
Both AESA and PESA can do jamming detection, ECM, and passive scanning.
All you need to do is turn on the receiver and dont send pulses out.
The PESA array can be steered and formed just like the AESA array.
Special signal processing once you get back into the digital electronics gives you the
real advantage in terms of doing advanced jamming detection.
Both AESA and PESA can track multiple targets the same time.
Sometimes hundreds.
The list goes on.
AESA does have the ability to form multiple beams at different frequencies at the same
time, but this is less common.
If you are splitting up your beam into a beam for Freq-A and a beam for Freq-B, then each
beam is now half as powerful and will get you (1/2)1/4=84(1/2)1/4=84 of the range you
would get if you were using the full array.
Divide that into 4 sub-beams and now youre down to 70% of your maximum range.
You also lose monopulse processing which allows you to fine tune your angle measurement.
Without monopulse, your angle measurement is only going to be as accurate as your beam
width, and now with only half of an array, your beam just got wider.
You typically dont need this feature where you do two frequencies at the same time, because
the radars are pulsed.
Radars are emitting thousands of pulses per second.
And after each dwell, you reset to a new target, re-steer the beam, and then send more pulses.
Both AESA and PESA can track hundreds of targets at the same time.
The primary advantage of AESA is logistics and SWAP (size, weight, power).
With a PESA, you have a single high-power amplifier like the Klystron or TWT.
These are older devices, require extensive cooling, and very prone to breakdowns.
And when your single source of RF amplification goes down, your whole radar goes down and
you are blind.
They are expensive, fragile, and a single point of failure.
With AESA, your high-power amplification is now split up between thousands of solid-state
devices.
Several of these AESA elements can fail, and the overall AESA performance will be essentially
unchanged.
The modules are circuit cards that can be manufactured much more easily, and technicians
can easily switch modules in and out.
With PESA, you require a precision set of waveguides in order to get the high power
signal from the common amplification source to all of the phase shifters.
This ultimately makes the radar larger, it has special space constraints, it is heavier,
and it is more difficult to manufacture.
AESA radars only require a flat panel with all of the elements installed.
Think of it as a frame with a bunch of circuit cards plugged in.
The panel can be separated from the REX and connected only with cables allowing it to
be more easily integrated onto different platforms.
AESA also allows the use of solid state devices for RF generation and amplification.
Single solid-state devices were never capable of generating the power needed at a single
source for a PESA radar.
But when split up over thousands of elements, now you can use solid-state, and you end up
getting much better radar efficiency, and can take advantage of modern solid-state advances
in silicon technology.

Lean Bulk Day In The Life: Full Day Of Eating - Duration: 8:59.
Yo, what's going on guys?
Troy here and I'm going to walk through an entire lean bulking day in the life.
And I've actually figured out my exact calories.
And, by the way, my throat is really bad right now.
I've been super sick the last couple days.
Definitely don't feel 100 percent, but I'm going to try to power through this day, get
in a good workout, still get in my macros.
That's what this shit's all about.
Persevering through obstacles - my dad actually came to visit me and he was really sick when
he came down and apparently he gave me whatever the hell he had, which is something not fun
to deal with.
So my throat is all hoarse and I really can't breathe at night.
But, nonetheless, I'm going to power in 3,000 - excuse me - 3,380 total calories today.
So I just woke up and it is about 8:30 AM.
Slept in a little bit because I feel like shit.
So step number one is - well, I drank two bottles of water.
This is my second bottle of water right here.
I took my digestive enzymes.
And let me show you the macros and what I'm eating for meal number one, so here it is.
This is like a little omelet thing with three whole eggs and three ounces of grilled chicken,
a cup and a half of brown rice and about two tablespoons of olive oil.
And of course I took my digestive enzyme before that.
So the total macros on this are 40 grams of protein, 70 grams of carbs, 35 grams of fat
for a grand total of 755 calories.
Adding in the olive oil to this meal gave it a really easy, you know, 240 calories.
So highly recommend if you guys are struggling to get in all your calories, just consume
more olive oil and coconut oil throughout the day.
So I'm going to down this meal and probably wait about 30 minutes or so, drink more water
and then I'm going to head to the gym and do - I believe I'm doing back and biceps today.
My workout schedule has been all messed up because I missed a few workouts when I was
sick the last couple of days, so I think I'm feeling back and bits today or potentially
push and pull.
Let me see how I feel in about 30 minutes.
But I will see you guys in a bit.
I'm going to show you the exact pre-workout I'm taking - my little pre-workout regimen.
Show you some gym highlights as well.
We are about to go to the gym - do a little push/pull workout.
Doing the Bang Master Blaster.
Kind of a funny name.
So since I'm not feeling very well, we'll go about 1.25 scoops.
And I think I showed you this in another video, but this profile's really good - 6 grams citrulline,
5 grams creatine, 2.5 grams beta alanine.
It's got obviously some good caffeine in it.
So this will power me through my workout sick.
And then what I do is I actually add about a teaspoon of tyrosine.
Tyrosine helps boost your dopamine.
Really important when you're trying to get a lot of work done, helps with motivation,
all that good stuff.
And branched-chain amino acids, we're going to add a little bit extra because I'm sick,
so add about another 3 grams of branched chain amino acids.
And we are off to the gym for a push/pull workout.
All right guys, just got back from the gym.
Did a little push and pull.
Also worked out my arms.
Did it really - I've never done that before, where I go resistance band right after doing
weight training.
It felt really good.
Definitely going to keep on doing with in my arm training routine.
And right here is some Jamba Juice.
So what I did post workout, I decided to fill up on a lot of carbs, so this beast right
here, Island Pitaya bowl.
It has - let me see, I already wrote it down here - 100 grams of carbs right here, so perfect
for post-workout, 5 grams of protein, 10 grams of fat.
And then for my protein, I got this from Whole Foods - really shitty protein - but I'm going
to do a scoop and a half of this, so that will be 40 grams of protein.
And this stuff is next level, collagen amazing for your joints, especially - like even right
now I'm sick and my joints feel kind of stiff and just kind of feel shitty.
So this is going to help me with my joints.
I've been trying to take this every single day for - I think I've been doing it for about
the last month or so.
So my throat feels like shit.
I'm going to go relax for a little bit and then get some work done and continue pounding
away the calories.
So it's about an hour and a half since my last meal and I'm loading up on more carbs.
So this is actually vegan macaroni and cheese, so this is 70 grams of carbs - really good.
You get it at Whole Foods.
If anybody is lactose intolerant or if you just want to change it up and have a healthier
kind of macaroni and cheese - definitely recommend this recipe.
So I think it's like Daiya brand D-A-I-Y-A.
So vegan macaroni and cheese - about a cup and a half.
And we also have 3 and a half ounces of grilled chicken, so some healthy grilled chicken and
macaroni and cheese.
So for the day we're at 115 grams of protein, 245 grams of carbs and 65 grams of fat, so
going to try to get in the rest of my macros for the day I would say in two meals and probably
one snack.
So about 4:30 right now I will see you guys on the next meal.
All right guys, I am back and very hungry, so this meal is really boring.
I kind forgot to buy groceries yesterday and I barely have any food lying around.
So I was able to muster up - as you can see it's about ' so this is leftover salmon, so
it's about 3 ounces of salmon and 2 ounces of grilled chicken and then I put a bunch
of olive oil all over about a cup and a half of brown rice.
Give you guys a nice little angle there.
And then I'm going to finish it up with some pineapple chunks.
So keeping it pretty clean and pretty healthy.
So this is going to get me up to 150 grams of protein, 345 grams of carbs, and 90 grams
of fat total for the day, so I've got about 50 grams of protein left, about 50 grams of
carbs and about 10 grams of fat, so got about one meal left.
I'm going to get some work done here.
Pound down some salmon, some brown rice, some chicken, some pineapple.
And once again I'm going to make sure I take my digestive enzymes, so my body can absorb
all these nutrients.
All right guys, just got back from doing a little bit of work.
It is about 12:30 AM and I got a few little snacks here when I was doing some work.
I got chocolate coconut water - one of my favorite things to drink after a hard day
of workouts.
Then I had a peanut butter cream Power Crunch bar.
Just quick, easy snacking on the go.
So that brought me up to 165 grams of protein, 400 grams of carbs, and 100 grams of fat.
So my last meal of the day is kind of - I want to say not very typical at all for me.
I have this kind of like, soup thing that I got from my girlfriend's mom.
I guess she made it.
And I think it's - what is this called?
Chau.
Chau.
They actually make fun of this in the movie The Hangover.
So it's like rice and shrimp and fish and carrots and potatoes, so I have about 200
calories left or so.
I probably going to be a little bit under my protein quota of the day of 200 grams,
but I'll be over on my carbs and a little bit over on my fat.
So this has some good quality protein though - some shrimp and I guess there's some fish
floating in there somewhere.
So this could be my last meal of the day and I'm going to try to get some good sleep because
my throat is really raspy right now.
So going to pound down some chow and go to bed.
So thank you so much for watching.

The Crappiest Shark Movies Ever Made! - Duration: 7:29.
What's Up Internet!
I recently did a show on why Netflix is ruining your life.
One of the reasons was the abundance of shitty movies that's on there.
Apparently, crappy shark movies make up four out of the five so-bad-they're-good movies
ever made.
So, I decided that my life wasn't worth living anymore, and watched... all of them.
Of course, we can't have a list about killer-shark movies without starting with the franchise
that birthed the craze.
Yes, the Sharknado series!
The tag-line for the first movie is: Enough Said!
But maybe we can delve a little more into the artistic depths of this B-movie ocean.
Plot-wise: A waterspout sucks up a shit-ton of agitated sharks.
They're probably agitated because the CGI used to make them is so horrendous.
And impolitely dumps them upon LA.
Oh, crap!
I mean, I would be super pissed off if I magically ended up in the middle of LA as well...
A group of impossibly beautiful young people, who thought they were in the middle of a daytime
soap, now have to tackle the toothy terrors, as well as the script full if such wonders as:
They took my grandfather, so I really hate sharks...
Well that's convenient!
Instead of letting live sharks rain down on people, we're gonna get in that chopper, and
throw bombs into the tornadoes!
Seems scientifically sound.
Now sharks...
I never saw that coming.
The film, was such a success for Syfy...
Seefee?
Sci-fee?
See- -that they've commissioned an on-going army
of sequels, that like the relentless beasties of the title, don't seem to know when to stop.
Sharks...
In...
Space!
Since violent weather or extreme natural events seem to be the only ideas thrown at the random-plot-generator
machine that is obviously coming up with the stories for these films, what could it generate next?
I'm not the only one wondering here apparently, with the internet providing a slew of weather-based
shark film posters for you to indulge in.
Just for shits and giggles, one of these films is real.
See if you can tell which one.
SHARKALANCHE Because ice is just frozen water, the science is sound...
SHARKCANO Because an underwater volcano would just make too much sense
TSHARKNAMI
The "T" is silent but deadly
SAND SHARKS
Just when you thought you were safe out of the water
SHARKICANE Because fuck you, that's why.
The Mega Shark series.
This film is notable for the scene where the shark
Sorry - MEGA shark Takes down a jumbo jet.
Holy shit!
This is the exact reason I don't like to fly.
You know, the 300ft Mega Sharks.
Following the B-Movie rule that no good monster ever stays dead, our beloved Mega Shark has
come back three times since, to fight off against:
A Crocosuarus
A Mecha-Shark
And a Colossus, which is blatantly a rip-off from Attack On Titan.
Not wanting Tara Reid to get ALL the shark action, fellow Z-lister Carmen Electra gets
into the fray.
Her previous filmography includes: Disaster Movie
Epic Movie Date Movie
Ironically, none of those can actually considered movies.
Carmen, plays two characters out of twenty-three in the whole film, actually credited with
a surname.
Her emotionally-range challenged fellow actors not only have to deal with the scientific
implausibilities of a sinking island, a shark that fluctuates in size more frequently than
Trumps inauguration crowd, and that ANY of these people actually went to college.
But, not the two-headed shark itself, as that shit actually exists!
And since the effects budget was smaller than the ACTUAL Trump inauguration crowd, the film
inevitably made a profit from the seven people who watched it, resulting in the sequel, the
surprisingly named: THREE-HEADED-SHARK-ATTACK
But this one has Danny Trejo in it, so it's awesome.
When a great-white shark is sadistically killed by a bunch of sea-rednecks
Yes, I said that
It comes back as a ghost shark to wreak havoc
upon the landlubbers that did it harm.
The film sticks to its bat-shit internal logic: Since the shark is now in spectral form, it
can attack wherever there is even the smallest amount of water nearby, like:
A swimming pool
A bath tub
A bucket
A metal pipe
Even... a drinking cup
So, since when has engineering a half-shark,
half-octopus for combat ever been a bad idea?
The military want to use it to target drug traffickers in Santa Monica.
Come on guys, I know the war on drugs is a tough one, but maybe invest in, I don't know,
a stronger police force, better education, fuck even Robocop!
Still, without this stunning use of military intelligence, we wouldn't be treated to classy
scenes like:
Never being too deterred when your scientific
experiments go awry, and EAT everyone, those lab-coated buffoons decide a pterodactyl
and a barracuda are a genetic pairing that nature discourteously neglected to smoosh
together.
So we get: Sharktopus Vs Pteracuda!
When that didn't work out for them: they gave Whale-wolves a try because at this point why
the fuck not?
Okay, I admit, I never watched this one, as I can barely sit through an actual episode
of Jersey Shore.
If the movie had been nothing but vignettes of the entire cast being painfully devoured
by sharks in increasingly bizarre manners - no plot or anything - just the one-by-one
ingestion of the troupe, then I might have been tempted.
But the fact that they tried to build a plot around some of the cast, and Snooki doesn't
even get devoured: On the plus side, she never actually appears
This means I have now discovered that there is a limit to how far I'll go before the so-bad-they're-good
movies go to: So-bad-you-lose-all-hope-for-humanity-and-just-go-home-stare-at-the-wall-waiting-for-the-end...
movies.
While all the mentions on this list so far have been movies that might actually be laughing at...
What is that?
Those are piranha sharks.
Same-day delivery for unique an educational biological experience.
Piranha Sharks is the only one you might actually laugh WITH.
At times gloriously meta and self-aware, this is the Wes Craven Scream-esque crappy shark
movie, where all the cast have seen Sharknado and know the genre tropes.
Capitalizing on this sudden fascination with killer sharks, those scientists are at it
again, and genetically merge shark and piranha DNA to make mini-sharks that can live in your
fish-tank.
But of course, then they escape, and pfft, whatever.
Why piranhas though?
If they wanted them to be miniature great-whites and had to merge them with something, why
not a goldfish?
Or something cute, like a hamster or a mouse?
Ah never mind.
Fuck you internet.
And here now, saved for the end, is the magnum opus of shitty shark movies:
Bestowed with the honor of being the lowest-scored movie on IMDB, we have Jurassic Shark!
Instead of talking about this movie regarding releasing a prehistoric shark from drilling
too deep or some shit, whatever, go check out the trailer on YouTube, and then read
the comments, so much more fun!
This movie is worse than cancer.
I think I'd have more enjoyment if I stepped into a pool of alligators.
Forget B movies, we're down to J movies now.
Weed can't save this movie.
It's like Jaws, but better!
I mean I barely even saw the shark in that film.
Here he's everywhere!
You know you've done something wrong when Troll 2 is rated higher than your movie.
Kill it!
Kill it with fire!
Where are the nipples?
Okay, so I'm guessing there's a large part of the clientele that come to these movies
just so they see tits and ass.
At least that's what this guy was wondering when he said:
Why didn't they just make a porno?
Well, I can think of at least one person that would be appreciative:
Chandler watches shark porn!

Hey everybody it's Ben from Turnout Marketing
and today we're going to review this new feature
by Facebook called Facebook Stories
Facebook has taken the best of Instagram
and the best of Snapchat and combined it
to make a really awesome feature for you

differences between the Instagram
Stories and Facebook Stories is pretty
negligible. Facebook does offer some
filter choices and different writing
choices that Instagram Stories doesn't
have. Facebook Stories and Instagram
Stories they both only lasts for 24
hours. So on Facebook at the top to the
left of stories is a thing called Direct
And that's where the Snapchat component
comes in. So Direct allows you to take
pictures or videos alter those and send
them to a specific friend or group of
friends. Just like Snapchat. So all in all
again it's snapchat and Instagram on one
platform. Now that you know more about
Facebook Stories go ahead and try it out

Whitewashing in Hollywood ... Again - Duration: 3:34.
ScarJo's about to pop off in this year's original
motion picture whitestravaganza based on a Japanese property,
Ghost in the Shell.
And we're here for it.
Because where else would we go?
Hollywood, if you want people to stop complaining about this,
maybe stop doing it?
First of all, it's Sir Benjamin Cuckflakington III.
If you're going to insult me, use my whole name.
Whitewashing is when people of European descent
play people of color in theatrical media.
It's like Rachel Dolezal, but at the movies.
This has been happening for ages,
with racist caricatures of black people
dating all the way back to vaudeville.
Orson Wells, aka Young Rosebud, dead-ass put
Laurence Olivier in full-on black face to play Othello,
one of Shakespeare's only black characters.
Could you even imagine Sidney Poitier Twitter fingers
if Twitter had existed back then?
Things are getting better, but a common problem that we're
still seeing is white actors getting roles that were
written for people of color.
CBS.
Thought I didn't see it, huh?
In 2010, the Twitter hashtag #Donald4Spiderman
took the internet by storm,
with people asking for Donald Glover
(a black)
to play Spider-Man.
And I was definitely down.
But as he says in his standup special,
Half the world was like, "Donald for Spider-Man.
We're only gonna watch the next Spider-Man
if Donald Glover's playing Peter Parker."
And the other half was like,
"He's black, kill him."
And boy, things have not changed.
Angry people are super vocal when a black person
plays a fictional character.
Remember 2015's trash-ass Fantastic Four reboot?
People were tripping when they found out
Michael B. Jordan was going to play Johnny Storm,
a fictional white man who catches on fire.
What up, white people, you own fire now?
Nah.
However, when Tilda Swinton was playing the Ancient One
in Doctor Strange,
Jake Gyllenhaal was Prince Dastan in The Prince of Persia,
all the middle schoolers in
The Last Airbender and damn near every actor in
every movie about Egypt was whitewashed,
y'all were hella silent.
So, where y'all at?
I'll wait.
[clock ticking]
Tick-tock.
People are quick to defend the source material.
And believe me, I get it.
I love comics, anime, manga, video games,
just like any other person.
But let's remember, the source material is fictional.
That means it's happening in our imagination.
And if it's happening in our imagination,
anything could f*cking happen.
Wow.
First up, easy one.
Idris Elba. He should play James Bond.
He's black.
Extremely black.
This is just water.
Taraji B. Henson. She could play Cruella de Vil,
the President of the United States.
Hell, I already cast her to play me in my own biopic.
She's got range.
Viola Davis has had a wonderful career so far,
but I want to see her play a cop.
She already has a show called How to Get Away with Murder.
You know, because
cops get—
Mahershala Ali.
Honestly, he can do whatever the f*ck he wants.
There's some things that it's hard to be in this world.
He's black, he's Muslim and he has an Oscar.
Katt Williams. Elephant in the room.
I know everyone's thinking it.
He should play Jesus of Nazareth.
Pimpin', pimpin', pimpin'.
It's wine now.
Hollywood.
Representation matters.
And maybe, just maybe, we should be rethinking the
whitewashing in our own imaginations.
Feel free to be triggered in the comments below.

Jeep Wrangler Superchips TrailCal (2015-2017 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 7:22.
I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review and installation of the Superchips
TrailCal, fitting all 2015 and up JKs.
Today we're gonna talk through the installation of the TrailCal, which isn't much of an install
at all.
This is a one outta three wrench install.
You really just attach it onto the dashboard, plug it into the OBD-II port, but we'll talk
more about that in just a second.
We're also gonna talk through some of the features of the TrailCal.
Anytime you upgrade to a larger set of tires or change the gear ratio on your Jeep, it's
always a good idea to recalibrate the Jeep's ECU for those new parameters.
That's going to ensure that if you have an automatic transmission, that your shift points
are correct, and at the very least, ensure that your speedometer and odometer readings
are accurate.
Now you can make all of those changes with a Superchips FlashCal or with one of the other
calibrators on the market.
And those calibrators are really designed to plug into the Jeep, make some changes,
update the ECU, and then unplug it.
And you really throw that calibrator in your console or in your glove box, and you don't
use it very often after that, unless of course you wanna make some other changes.
And these calibrators don't just change for gear ratio and tire size, they'll also do
things like convenience options, like how long your lights stay on, your radio delay,
horn chirps, they'll adjust for idle for if you're winching and you want a little bit
more alternator output, TPMS systems.
They'll make a lot of other adjustments as well.
Now, the benefit to something like this, which is the TrailCal, is it does all the things
that the Superchips FlashCal is going to do.
But instead of just updating things, unplugging it, and throwing it in the center console,
this is something that's designed to be left on the dashboard, give you readings for all
of your gauges, give you digital readouts.
This will also allow you, with an additional module, to have virtual switches for lights
or lockers.
This is really going to give you a lot more control and a lot more information, all while
having that little screen up on the dash all the time, a touchscreen, that you can go in,
swipe through, and get a lot more information about your Jeep in real time.
Now, the difference between this, the TrailCal, and the TrailPaq is going to be that this
does everything that the calibrator does, that the FlashCal does, but the TrailPaq or
the TrailDash, is going to be more akin to the FlashPaq, which is going to also have
tunes.
Now the tunes are going to adjust for timing, fuel, a few other engine parameters.
You're going to wanna run a higher octane fuel, and you're going to get a little bit
more power out of your Jeep.
Now when we're talking about the 2015 and up JKs, which is what this does, you can't
just hook a tuner up and have things work, you actually have to swap out the ECU.
So if you are interested in getting tunes, if you want some additional power, you're
going to wanna go with the TrailDash and you are going to have to swap out your ECU.
If you're not interested in additional power, you just want a calibrator that is also going
to give you a lot of other information about your Jeep, then this is going to be a really
nice option.
So as I said, this is going to give you a ton of information about your Jeep.
You are going to have a five-inch color touchscreen, which is going to allow you to very easily
access all of that information.
It's going to read and clear "Check Engine" lights.
You are going to be able to control factory options on your Rubicon Edition Wrangler.
If you have factory lockers or sway bar disconnects, you can control that through here.
This is also going to have an additional video input, so you can actually run your auxiliary
reverse camera through this screen here.
But as we mentioned before, the real meat and potatoes of this, the real main point
of this, is to calibrate, so you're gonna be able to calibrate for a larger tire, you're
going to be able to calibrate for a different gear ratio, and you're going to be able to
change your TPMS settings with a download as well as all of those other convenience
features as well.
So this is a product that gives you a lot of calibration options as well as all of those
digital gauges to give you all of that information about your Jeep, which is really important
to have.
Even though Jeeps are built for off-roading, you are putting a lot of stress and putting
a lot of wear and tear on your vehicle when you are off-road, so being able to maintain
all of the parameters, all of the vital signs, if you will, of your JK is a really nice feature.
It gives you a lot more peace of mind when you are working your Jeep a little bit harder
than you normally do that you're not hurting anything.
As I said before, this is a very simple one out of three wrench install.
In fact, it's not much of an install at all, and you're going to be able to get this done
in less than half an hour.
The first step is going to be mounting the TrailCal onto your dash.
Now this does come with a suction cup mount that will very easily attach to the back of
the TrailCal itself.
From there, you'll just have to plug in the cord into the back of the TrailCal, run that
through the dashboard down to the OBD-II port, and plug it in.
And that's it.
That's really all there is to it.
From there, it's just turning it on, turning on the Jeep, which will give power to this,
and setting your parameters, doing all of your calibration, doing all the customization,
picking which gauges you wanna see, and actually starting to use this item.
Very, very easy to hook up, very easy to set up, and you'll be using this very, very quickly.
This comes in at right around $450, which is going to be, of course, more expensive
than the FlashCal because this does have the LCD readout, it does have all of the gauges
built into it.
So it's just a lot more hardware and also a lot more functionality, so it makes sense
that it's more expensive.
However, this is going to be about $150 less than the TrailDash, which is that unit that
we talked about before that has the built-in tunes that you'll also have to swap out your
ECU in order to use.
So if you are looking for those additional features, you can certainly go with that,
as I said, about $150 more.
If you're looking for a calibrator just to calibrate, you just want it to work, and you
don't want all these additional features, obviously, go with the FlashCal, go with one
of the other calibrators that are on the market.
But if you really like the functionality of this, you like having all the digital readouts,
you really wanna keep an eye on how your Jeep is doing, you wanna be able to look at all
those parameters, and you wanna be able to adjust them in real time, all the time, by
just reaching up and touching the touchscreen, I think this is a very nice option.
And honestly, I don't think that it's overpriced.
You're getting a ton of features out of this in a really nice, neat, convenient package.
I think this is fairly priced.
So if you're not looking to add a tuner onto your Jeep for more power, you just want something
that's going to calibrate, but you wanna be able to change those calibrations in real
time and have digital gauge readouts to give you a good idea of exactly what's going on
inside of your Jeep, I think this is going to be a very nice option for you.
So that's my review of the Superchips TrailCal, fitting all 2015 and up JKs, that you can
find right here at extremeterrain.com.

10 Coolest Gadgets on Amazon That You Can Buy Right Now - Duration: 4:27.
Hi, guys!
Today on Youfact channel we'll show you 10 items on Amazon that you can buy as a gift
for someone or for yourself.
Here are unusual ears made in Japan that can respond to your mood.
The Necomimi ears catch the activity of your brain.
They are raised up when you focus on something, they are lowered down when you are relaxed
and they are a little rotated when you experience strong emotions.
In fact they work on the same principle as the ears of a live cat.
They certainly cheer up your friends both in live communication and via Skype, and it
will be a great gift.
A tabletop mini fireplace running on bioethanol adds a bit of coziness and romance to your
home.
It is able to transform a dark unlit room into a cozy romantic area without the cost
of electricity.
Standing on the coffee table next to the couch or on the bedside table, a mini fireplace
promotes relaxation and provides comfort.
By the way, it is environmentally friendly: in the process of burning it produces no harmful
vapors, and it does not form soot on the walls.
And this is one of the most unusual bathmats, which you can buy on Aliexpress.
This is the most seemingly ordinary white bathmat, however, as soon as you step on it
with wet feet, bloody traces of a bright scarlet color appears on it.
Then after the carpet dries, the traces disappear.
This mat will certainly surprise your guests.
This gift is taken from the nature - an electronic butterfly in a jar.
Clap loudly or knock on the jar and the butterfly starts beating on the wall as a living one.
Reassured, it will sit on the wall of the jar and will gradually move its wings, and
then will fall asleep.
Original gift for children and adults.
In place of the usual magnets for a fridge, which help us affix a note for our loved ones,
there came video memos.
Now you don't need to search for pen and paper to leave message, just press the button and
record video of all that you want to say.
It's so simple that even small children will be able to use it.
This compact camera is able to immediately print your pictures.
It works on the principle of Polaroid: as soon as you press the shutter, you receive
the finished photo.
In our days of digital photos this camera is a very original thing.
Do not forget about such useful thing as a smart watch.
With it you will be able to answer calls and SMS, read email, record photos and videos,
and get all notifications that come to your smartphone.
Most smart watches equipped with a lot of embedded sensors and have a built-in fitness
tracker, pulse meter, sleep phase tracker, etc.
And, of course, because this is the watch, you can choose the dial, so that it will look
stylish on your arm.
There is a huge selection of such watches on Amazon.
Do you still vacuum the home by your own?
Well, the time has come to delegate this duty to robots.
The robot vacuum cleaner will move around your rooms, sweeping and sucking up all the
dust while you sit on the sofa and watch TV.
It automatically remembers the perimeter of your home avoiding obstacles and it does not
skip anything.
The robot runs almost noiseless, so it won't distract you from more important things.
This vibro speaker will make a powerful column of any surface.
You connect оne end to the sound source, e.g. to your MP3 player or smartphone and
the other end you should connect to a table, a cup, a car or any other surface, and this
surface turns into a big speaker!
This portable mini speaker transmits vibrations to the surface and you get a pretty good sound
quality!
This simple-seeming USB device works wonders.
With it, you will be able to fully control your computer by waving your hands and fingers.
The controller monitors movement of both hands and all 10 fingers during their movement in
the air between you and your computer.
You will be able to destroy virtual enemies with your bare hands without a mouse and keyboard,
and painting fans will be able to create masterpieces on the computer screen in two-dimensional
and three-dimensional space.
