All those job interviews you thought you failed, you didnt.
You were scammed.
One of the most disgusting things some of the large corporations do is posting fake
jobs, at an increasing rate.
it's their single biggest evil act.
They are not only wasting your time but more importantly they are wasting your hopes.
The latter, I have no tolerance for.
I mean how do you feel after receiving 100s of rejections to your job applications?
Or failing 10s of job interviews.
Don't you get to a stage where you start doubting your worth?
You start thinking that you are not worthy of these great employers.
So, what happens is, as a result, you start lowering your hopes and your expectations.
It's absolutely disgusting what they do.
And I am very confident over 90% of the jobs that are advertised online with big job search
websites are not real jobs but fake jobs.
But not just that, also over 90% of the job interviews you attended were also not real
job interviews.
Meaning; they never had any intention to hire you in the first place.
I'll expose everything in this video.
Now, if you are one of my subscribers, you already know me and you already know my management
consulting career with PwC, PricewaterhouseCoopers.
In that decade long consulting career, I had over 200 clients in the world, all around
the world, top organizations.
And during this time, I personally saw these kind of practices, with my own eyes.
It happened right in front of my eyes.
You'll hear all about them today.
Once I am done with explaining why they post fake jobs, then I'll also tell you what
you should do about it.
But you need to get the reasons first.
Once you understand why they do it, things will be a lot clearer.
You gotta understand the "why" before you start thinking about the "how".
Essentially, there are 4 major reasons.
And the sad part is, although these are absolutely disgusting practices, downright shameful acts,
you'll soon understand that they make sense from their perspective.
It just makes pure business sense.
And the worst part is, because it makes business sense, they will continue to do it.
They will continue to post fake jobs and conduct fake interviews, most probably at an even
greater scale.Number 1, the first reason is to trick, is to fool financial analysts and
credit rating agencies into believing that the company is doing well, and expanding.
Why they are trying to fool them?
Because if these analysts believe that the company is expanding, they'll assign higher
valuation figures and potentially higher price target for their stocks.
How are they fooling them with fake jobs?
Because, financial analysts from investment banks and credit rating agencies use this
datapoint "number of vacancies" as part of their overall valuation study.
It's one of the many datapoints.
These analysts, they want to be able to see if the company is growing in head count.
How do I know this?
I know it because I used to work for Standard & Poor's, long time ago.
Now, these large publicly listed companies are smart.
They realize that this is one single datapoint that they can easily manipulate and the best
part is that there are no regulations.
They can't manipulate their 3 main financial statements because there are strict regulations,
but they can manipulate this particular one, no regulations.
So, they post thousands of fake jobs just to create the perception that they are growing.
Now, this was the case for large, publicly listed, giant companies, big brands.
You know them all.
But relatively smaller firms also post a lot of fake jobs.
But they have different reasons for it.
Reason Number 2: Now, these smaller firms, I mean they are still above 1,000 plus employees
but not as giant as publicly listed ones.
What happens is, to get a major discount from the online job boards, like monster.com or
indeed.com and millions of their derivatives, they buy the job advertisements, the space,
in bulk.
It's like a wholesale discount.
By that way, they get discounts of up to 80%.
It's a good deal right?
80% off…
So, if you can estimate how many jobs you'll hire this year based on previous year's
estimation, then you'll get an 80% discount.
But I have a question for you?
What do you think happens when the company doesn't do so well in that year and that
they can no longer grow?
Do you think they let go of all this "bought-for" online attention?
Nope.
Far from it.
They just place fake jobs.
So, in a way, they see that as a branding opportunity.
It creates the perception that their company is doing very well in the eyes of 10s of millions
of people.
Those fake job ads are seen by 10s of millions of people.
Do you know that Indeed.com gets half a billion traffic per month?
Half a billion.
So, some of these employers, what they do is once they post all those fake jobs, they
tie the job posts to an email autoresponder which sends out an autorejection email after
a certain time passes, like 2 days 8 hours.
You know what, you can actually test this.
I've done it in LIG.
I tested this with 20 perfect resumes, sets of 2 CVs per role.
And from the fake accounts I created, I applied to 10 randomly selected job posts from some
of the most reputable companies in the world.
These were active jobs.
Each application in a particular set of 10, received the autorejection exactly at the
same time duration, ike 3 days, 8 days.
Then the auto-rejection.
If you are thinking oh but maybe the machine did the sorting and looked for certain keywords,
I had all the keywords.
They were just perfect for both the machine and the human screening, they had extremely
relevant experience from PwC, McKinsey, MBA from Harvard Business School, just perfect.
There's no way anyone in their right mind would not invite those fake candidates to
those fake interviews.
It's downright disgusting.
Reason number 3; This 3rd reason actually takes this whole circus a step further.
This is where things get borderline illegal.
Now, they don't just post fake jobs but they also conduct fake interviews.
They literally invite you in for an interview, even multiple stages of interviews.
But you know where the problem is, they actually never had any intention to hire you in the
first place.
Their whole game plan was that they were going to promote a particular internal employee
to a higher role but they needed another candidate, a worse one, to benchmark against.
In a way, all they wanted was just to be able to say to VPs or Directors that, "Hey, you
know what, we did interview all these qualified senior, external candidates, all these 20
of them, and they just weren't as good as our very own Alex.
Alex is the best.
Look here are the interview results".
Then the VP says, ok.
Go ahead.
Promotion approved.
That's it.
Just to be able to say that, they wasted 100s of hours of all those candidates.
The Final Reason, Reason number 4; what do HR/recruiters do.
Other than admin work, they source CVs and interview candidates right?
Very good.
What happens to all these recruiters, the HR when the company isn't hiring as much
as before?
Think about it.
Do you think they stop their HR work and start helping other departments like, Marketing,
Sales, Operations?
No.
Not at all.I'll tell you what happens.
They get fearful for their own little jobs.
They want to look busy.
They want their public calendar to be seen as full to everyone else.
So, they continue to source CVs and conduct job interviews.
Let's say in normal times, they conduct like 500 interviews as a team for 100 open
roles.
Which is about 5 HR interviews per role right?
Good.
Now, when the company can't grow that year and has only 10 open roles instead of 100,
what happens?
I'll tell you what happens, the HR still conduct 500 interviews.
So, as a result, they conduct like 50 interviews or sometimes as much as 100 interviews for
one single role.
Are you kidding me?
As I said, they want to look busy.
Obviously, there are exceptions.
There are very well managed companies, but not as many as you would think.
There is a back story to this actually.
When I was still with PwC Consulting, PricewaterhouseCoopers.
We had a major client, a very big international company.
I can't give you the name but you know them.
The project was organizational transformation.
The company, our client was on the verge of bankruptcy, they couldn't pay salaries,
extreme hiring freeze, and majority of employees were about to be laid off.
10s of thousands of people.
All around the world.
Imagine how bad they were going down.
Imagine all those families losing their only source of income.
Anyway, here's the funny thing though.
At a time like this, they still had 60, full time internal recruiters/HR whom strangely
enough, all looked very busy, all the time.
They didn't collaborate with us, consultants, or even with the board of directors.
They didn't want to attend my meeting invitations, no collaboration, like completely isolated.
Whenever I approach them, they are always like "we are so busy, can we do that tomorrow.
Oh, let me check my calendar I'll get back to you."
And then they never get back.
Then after a while, I found out that they were actually conducting job interviews all
they long, all 60 of them, as a team.
Full time.
What are you even interviewing for?
Right?
When I found out about this, I approached the Vice President of HR and I asked "what
are you doing?"
Seriously, what are you doing?".
There is a hiring freeze, salaries are not being paid, your employer is going bankrupt,
What are you guys doing here, interviewing new people?
And you know the words followed.
What VP said.
I will never forget that moment.
He gave me the perfect bullshit answer as far as bullshit answers go.
He said, something like this; "Oh Deniz, you know we are preparing the talent pipeline
for the company's future growth to be able to attract the global talent that we require
to survive in this spectrum of unheard of global competitiveness"
I really couldn't believe what I was hearing you know.
There is a hiring freeze, company is going down, and you know this very well.
You are a VP.
And this was not an isolated case.
I came across a very similar situation multiple times in my consulting career.
At the end of the day, human beings are selfish.
We are self-centered.
Just like in this case, they didn't mind wasting your time and your hopes as long as
they could get another month's salary.
So, you, you, do not fall victim to this.
At the beginning of the video, I told you that I'd share with you what you can do
about this, right?
Here's what you can do about this.
Do not make online applications.
Because there is absolutely, no way you can identify a fake job or a fake interview.
There is no way.
There is no way you can know even the interview you attended was real.
You need to be an insider to know if they were legitimate.
So, you simply can't know.
If you want to have a better job, if you want to have real interviews with successful employers,
that's not the way to go.
Online job posts, online job applications are not the way to go.
You'll waste your time, you'll waste your hopes, and you'll destroy your self-confidence.
Self-confidence is like muscle.
Once it's destroyed, it takes so much effort and so much time to get it back.
Don't lose it in the first place.
The right way to go about finding better jobs is, as I always proudly say, is what I teach
in LIG.
The strategy I developed is very complex so you'll need to go through a proper 3 hour
program to really understand the step by step strategy that I developed for you.
It's not very simple.
You need to be truly committed.
Now, I know it may sound sort of a douchebag move to some of you that I first surfaced
the problem, gave you a 20 minute talk, then very conveniently show you the solution which
I charge for.
It's a very small amount but I still charge.
And here's my answer to that, it's a business.
LIG, is a business.
A very successful one.
Mostly through the word of mouth of current members it reached up to almost 5,000 members
and growing exponentially.
And because it's very successful, I was able to reduce the price almost by 95%.
So, you get a 95% discount to LIG.
Yes, it's a business, but at least it is a very responsible one.
One that offers you a unique solution to your biggest problems in your career, which is
getting better jobs, with companies that can afford to pay you those big salaries.
All I am trying to do is help you achieve what I achieved in my career but without losing
decades of your life like I did.
And I am doing this for as little as the cost of a dinner for a small family.
Literally.
I am 37 now.
Had I known the strategies I teach in LIG at the age of 27, I would have achieved this
career 10 years earlier.
It wasn't my fancy MBA degree that propelled my career to greater heights.
It was my exclusive strategy that I teach in LIG that made it all happen.
But there's a catch.
The catch is that you gotta take action.
You have got to implement what you learn.
That's a must.
If you don't have at least a couple hours every week to implement what you learn in
LIG, don't join.
It's not for you at the moment.
Take a look and see if it's right for you.
If it's not, no problem, at least, today, you learned something very important.
Next time you get a rejection email from an online application, or that you fail an interview,
don't feel bad.
There is a very high likelihood that the job or the interview wasn't even real in the
first place.
And that you are definitely worthy.
You are worthy of working for the best employers in the World with 6 figure salaries.
Hope to see you in LIG.
Otherwise, I'll see you here, next month.
I love you all.
See you next month.
