Waching daily Apr 23 2018

Hello guys, welcome back again

the lock I have for you today is a

216 TriCircle, made in China

I love it, I like it very much,

I think it's the biggest I have

It has 64 millimeters

I like aesthetically

and I like to pick it

it's a hard padlock to pick

there are many Chinese padlocks that are difficult from the bad facts that are they have very bad materials that deform

in this case I think that this padlock is difficult because it is well made

I have not take it apart

the core is fastened by this pin here

I do not want to spoil it, I'll just do it if I'm sure I can extract the pin

I do not know if the pin goes the full length or there is a steel pin and this is just a plug

It is a nice restoration project face to the future

I do not have the key

take out the pin, clean the core, make a key

has also damaged the springs that move the closing bolts

as I say it could be a very nice restoration project and surely in the future I will

but to this day, I have not gutted it, and I still have the doubt of whether it is very well made or very badly made

anyway, it is very fun to pick ;o))

and that's what we're going to try to do today

let's try to open it

if you have a chance to get one of these, do not doubt it

this is an old model

I think he can be around 30 years old

I do not know what modern TriCircle will look like

but this one is very, very funny, it's worth it, without a doubt

I'm going to use this home made wrench

and this fantastic pick from Tobias & Julian

let´s try, we zoom it a bit, from front to back

first nothing, second nothing, third nothing,

fourth a light click

fifth is binding

one click, sixth nothing

first, second is binding, makes a slight click

third one click

fourth nothing, fifth nothing

sixth is binding

make a click and falls in false set

first nothing, second nothing, third nothing

fourth is set

fifth gives counterotation,

make one click

first nothing

second nothing, third

fourth is binding

make one click

fifth seems set

when leaving, someone stops me, I think it's the second, it make a click

second, third is binding, make a click

fourth nothing, fifth is set, sixth is binding

setting the sixth the lock falls in false set

it gives counterotation

there it is, I've lost the false set, let's see

playing the second one, the false set returns

that sixth can be a deep serrated

It has something strange, it is not a standard pin

the first gives counterotation, we set it, the second seems set

third is binding

make a click, let's see, first

second bind again

give us a click

third is set

fourth it seems that is binding

make one click, the fourth overset with a lot of ease

going out the third stops me, no it´s not, I think that was the second one, let's see

first, second

third

fourth, fifth

I think I've overset the fourth

second

the third, there it is, make one click

let's see the first, second

third

fourth is binding, make a click

when stretching, the fourth has fallen

the sixth make one click

the second stops me, make one click

third one click, two

fourth one click

fifth one click, two

third again, not that was the second

third now yes, one click,

two

sixth one click,

two

I'm setting the spools without falling into the false set

there it is, now the second one has returned the false set

second is binding

it gives counterotation

there it is

and setting the second, the lock opens

As you can see, very, very, very funny

does typical things of locks that are well made

does not make weird movements

and the pins bind many times

I really love to pick this padlock

for me a jewel in the collection

I hope to have time

to restore it sometime

Of course if I do, I'll record it on video and I'll show it to you

Well, this has been the opening of the TriCircle, model 216, made in China

I hope you enjoyed it, that it will be useful and thank you very much for your time, bye

25 WINDOWS Keyboard SECRETS You Didn't Know! - Duration: 10:11.

Did you know your computer has a dark side?

Or that you can instantly bring back windows you accidentally closed?

Learn this trick and more in 25 Windows Keyboard secrets you didn't know!

#25.

"Double Delete"- If you have ever wanted to bypass the easily forgettable and annoying

task of essentially re-deleting what you already deleted by emptying your recycling bin--you

are in luck!

All you have to do to permanently delete something without sending it to the bin is hold down

shift while you press delete.

Though this might not be advisable all the time, because once its gone...its gone!

spell #24.

"Mark It!"- To make sure that you don't forget the obnoxiously obscure website name

of your favorite food-blogger or have instant access to the websites you visit most bookmarks

are an essential tool.

Pressing two simple keys can make this so much faster and easier.

To instantly bookmark a page all you have to do is hold down CONTROL and the D-key.

#23.

"Zoom Zoom"- If you feel like getting up close and personal with an article you

are reading (or have just plain bad eyes) or that ghastly picture your co-worker just

sent you is distracting you by taking up your entire computer screen fear not!

There is a simple trick to zooming in and out on your screen without trying to find

the sometimes tiny zoom icon.

If you hold CONTROL and scroll the wheel of your mouse you can swiftly and smoothly zoom

in or out.

#22.

"Plain Paste"- You might have experienced this scenario: You want to copy and paste

a line of text from the internet or another project into the current word processing document

you're working on, but when you do the text pastes as a different font or different color

and is just plain aggravating in its appearance.

Well, worry no more because there is a shortcut that converts this text to fit the document

you want to past it in.

You probably already know that the hotkey for pasting is CONTROL plus V and all you

have to do to format the text accordingly is add the SHIFT key and presto!

It appears in plain text!

#21.

"Revive Page"- One of the most annoying things that can happen while you are working

or even just cruising the internet is when you accidentally close a page that you needed

and completely forget the site you were on.

Yes you could go to the history section of your browser and click precious seconds of

your life away or you could instantly revive the lost page by holding down CONTROL, SHIFT

and the T-Key.

#20.

"Get Back"-Another simple way to save the time you would normally use to sluggishly

drag your cursor up to the top screen and clicking a button is replacing clicking the

back arrow with the hotkey combo of ALT and the Back Arrow.

This quickly shoots you backwards in browsing history and helps to avoid mouse-muscle cramps.

#19.

"Instant Address"-To avoid the hassle of having to go up to the address bar and

double click the webpage name in order to delete it, modify it or replace it you can

use the super-cool trick of holding CONTROL and the L-key at the same time.

This instantly highlights the address bar!

On some computers you can do the same thing by merely pressing F6.

#18.

"Spell Check"- Coming up against a deadline and need to shave off any second you can in

order to that writing project through on time?

Good news you can help to expedite the editing process by pressing the F7-key which will

open up the grammar and spelling check function.

As for instantly identifying wrong uses of the various forms of the word 'there',

sadly you are still on your own.

#17.

"Desktop Now'- When one is chugging away at work, juggling many different tasks at

once or just plain getting sucked down into the rabbit hole that is the internet, it is

easy to be bogged down by layers and layers of different programs and windows.

To avoid having an anxiety attack by trying to sift through these you can go back to square

one and take a deep breath by holding the windows key and pressing 'D'.

This will bring you back to the sanctuary that is your desktop.

#16.

"Up, Down, Side-to-Side"-- If you want to make your browser screen dance like it's

doing the electric slide or simply need a quick way to get that pesky page out of your

face this hotkey will be one of your favorites.

If you hold down the Windows key and then press the arrow key left or right you can

make the browser minimize to the side you want.

This can be useful if you are writing a research paper and need to type while surfing the web.

It allows you to bounce back and forth between the two or have them both easy to read next

to each other.

If you hit the other arrow keys you can rotate where the page is located on your computer

screen.

#15.

"Files and Folders"- One of the most useful tools you can learn to use on a computer is

navigating the files and folders section.

To easily open this up without having to click the icon or search through your hard-drive

you can press the Windows button and the E-key.

#14.

"Name Change"- Once you are inside of your files and folders section or trying to

label your documents, songs or other files there is a much easier way to rename these

things than the method you are probably using.

The common long way to do this is to right click the highlighted file and then scroll

to the rename function but you can easily avoid this tedium by hitting the F2 key.

#13.

"Speed Settings"- Whether you are looking to maximize and customize your computer to

fit your own particular awesomeness, change your background to that crazy cool pic of

your dog wearing sunglasses or are just looking to change the date and time--you can do this

incredibly easily without digging and clicking.

All you have to do is hold the windows key and hold the letter 'I'.

This will open up the setting on your computer.

#12.

"Screenshot"--Sometimes you may find yourself wanting to capture the awesomeness of a hilarious

tweet you posted to have and hold for eternity or sometimes you might be a private detective

and stumble across vital information for a case on a wikipedia page.

Well, instead of going through the rigamarole of copy and pasting, or finding a way to email

it to yourself, you can take a screenshot by tapping on two buttons.

To take a screenshot hold down the windows button and then press PRINT SCREEN and everything

on your screen will be captured and saved to your photo folder.

#11.

"Front and Back"- To avoid the common problem that a web address into the address

bar and hitting enter, then having it take you to a search engine instead of just taking

you to the address, Microsoft came up with one of the niftiest hotkeys.

Let's say you want to to go to straight to Youtube with as little typing as possible.

"Once you use the address bar shortcuts we told you about earlier, type the website name,

for example: youtube, then hit CONTROL and ENTER to automatically add "www" and seal

it with a '.com'.

Now you are flying!"

#10.

"Quick Close"- If you work at an office and have ever been looking at memes or cat

videos when you should be working and need a quick way to cover-up the evidence when

the boss or one of his or her henchman walk by then it is essential that you memorize

the shortcut for closing your browser.

All you have to do is hold down Alt and press F4.

#9.

"Talk to Me"- The virtual assistant feature that is Cortana on Windows has been a godsend

for instantly-accessing everything within your computer's power.

To summon this virtual butler in a moment's notice there is a fabulously useful hotkey.

If you want Cortana now and can't wait another second just hold down windows and then press

the C-key and 'poof' she will appear.

#8.

"Searching for Search Bar"-- In most of the latest versions of Windows, Microsoft

has conveniently placed a search bar for everything on the computer right there in plain sight

on the lower left part of the screen.

Now you could go grandpa and while twirling your ear-hairs and sucking on a Werther's

Original use your mouse or cursor pad to click on this search bar...Or…

You could embrace the future and use a hotkey while sipping your Acai and Dragonfruit smoothie

out of your chrome drink helmet.

To jump to the search bar just hold the windows key and press 'S'.

Then praise the Gods of Technology!

#7.

"Fast Flip"- Want to up your productivity or just be able to surf the web at an even

faster rate?

Well you can quickly flip through all of the open windows on your browser or open programs

by holding down ALT and TAB.

Pretty handy for the easily distracted and dynamic multi-taskers.

#6.

"The Shadow Windows"-- If your eyes aren't what they used to be or you want to feel like

you are living a double life as a hacker then we have a keyboard trick that is right up

your alley.

Windows has a setting that is called 'High Contrast Mode' which basically flips the

colors of your desktop and programs.

If you enable it backgrounds will turn from white to black and text will turn from black

to white and slightly enlarge.

This is designed to help the visually impaired read the text easier but it has the additional

effect of making your computer look like one you would see on CSI.

Plus a lot of computers make cool beeping sounds when you activate it.

The quick way to do this is by holding down SHIFT, ALT and PRINT or PRINTSCREEN at the

same time.

These colors and contrasts can also be changed in your computer's settings.

#5.

"Rotation Game"--Although this one is only available on some of the more high-powered

computers and really doesn't serve any useful purpose, it nevertheless is pretty cool to

know how to do.

On certain computers you can rotate the entire screen by holding down three keys.

Hold down CONTROL and ALT and then press the arrow keys and spin the screen to your heart's

desire.

Though it can be fun to do this to a friend or family member's computer just to mess

with their head, that's really about all you can do with it.

#4.

"Daily Glance"- The Daily glance is a remarkably Windows feature.

It serves as a hub for all news related headlines and articles.

It gives you instant access to weather, sports, pop-culture and everything else that's going

on in the world that day.

You can also use it as a virtual appointment book by setting reminders and leaving notes

for yourself.

If you are an investor or just a fan of Wall Street you can also easily access all the

stock information via the daily glance.

So to easily open and close this function and make sure that you are consuming information

and planning your day in the most efficient way possible, press the Windows key and hold

down the letter 'S'!

#3.

"Maximize Me Cap'n"- If you want a fast way to maximize or minimize your browser window

look no further than this awesome shortcut.

Instead of having to drag your cursor up to the top right of your computer screen everytime

you want to hide the page you are looking at all you have to do is hold the Windows

key and then press the down arrow twice.

If you just want to minimize hit it once.

If you want to maximize hold the windows button down and hit the up arrow.

Now you have the power to grow or shrink your browser at will.

#2.

"Lock it Up"- Imagine you are a secret agent set-up on your computer at the local

Starbucks working on some top secret information, when suddenly that Venti Caramel Macchiato

catches up to you and you have to run to the commode.

But how do you make sure that the Russian Agent posing as a barista doesn't sneak

pictures with his bowtie camera while you are away?

Well rest easy, you can instantly lock your computer by holding down the windows button

and pressing the L-Key.

Yes, this is an outlandish scenario, but you can probably see that being able to quickly

lock everything could come in handy, even if you aren't James Bond.

#1.

"Knockout"- Done working for the day and you just can't find the energy to drag the

cursor over to the toolbar and perform the arduous task that is signing off for the day?

Don't you wish you could say 'go to sleep!' and the computer would oblige?

Well with this shortcut you don't even have to speak.

To open up the shutdown and restart tab without wasting clicks all you have to do is hold

the windows button and then press x.

Then you can choose from pressing 'I' to sign out of windows.

Press 'U' for instant shutdown.

Press 'R' to restart.

'H' to Hibernate and 'S' to Sleep.

What hotkey or shortcut on your computer do you find yourself using the most?

EF challenge 2018 : "What does sustainable development mean to you?" / Léa Le Diouris from France - Duration: 3:45.

Good morning everyone.

Today we're going to talk about sustainable development.

I know you've heard about it; at least in your geography class.

Yup, and it's boring.

I'm sorry?

Who's speaking?

Uh, quiet please.

So, I was saying, sustainable development relies on three domains which are social,

economic and of course ecologic.

What is this all for?

I'm trying to teach you something.

Please.

Why don't you skip the boring part?

Just go to the point.

The point?

There must be a point in what you're teaching, right?

Well, of course…

Why is sustainable development important?

You tell me?

You see, sustainable development is a huge thing.

Still boring.

Fine.

Let me talk.

Please.

Sustainable development is what preserves Earth.

It's the balance between all the stakes of our world.

As you all know, the ressources our planet has aren't endless.

The thing with sustainable development is to be aware of that so we can answer our actual

needs while thinking of future generations who whill have needs too.

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but sustainable development isn't for us?

It's for the others?

No, you don't get it.

It's been decades since human beings exploit natural ressources, far before when you were

born.

If we don't decide to control how we use it, even you will run out of basic things.

I don't feel really concerned though.

You don't think there are problems in our world?

What kind of problems?

Maybe about animals?

About food?

About all those things related to sustainable development as I told you?

So you mean… endangered species?

Starving populations?

That's exactly what I'm talking about.

You want concrete proof?

I know you like animals.

Let's talk about…

Leopards.

There are only 40 left in the world.

Rhinoceros.

There are only 60 left in the world.

I can go on like that if you want.

These are facts.

Over 800 species have gone extinct, doesn't it sound alarming?

It does.

Sustainable development aims to end this.

It is about animals, about forests, about how you live and breathe.

I'm not sure you really want to find out how you will have to live if the world goes

on this way.

Maybe I won't.

I hope not.

I'm sure you participate to sustainable development without even knowing it.

Everyone listen – you might learn a few things.

How do you go to school every day?

I take the bus.

Exactly.

And you know what?

Taking the bus is caring about our world.

Because you waste less energy than if you took the car, for example.

I mean that's fine, that's great but…

It doesn't matter.

I'm too small.

My participation won't make any progress.

Wrong.

Let's think about it for a minute, would you?

What if you say it won't help, than another one says it too, and another one…

No one will try to change.

But if you think maybe it'll be fine, and the others too, then you can make progress

just at your scale.

I guess that would be fine to help.

Especially if there are such small things to do.

I'll give you a list of little habits you can adopt to help the environment.

For all of you who want to have children, think about them and the world you'll leave

them, OK?

I sure will.

You were right: sustainable development is a huge thing.

Thymic hypoplasia - causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, pathology - Duration: 7:52.

In thymic hypoplasia, thymic refers to the thymus which is an immune organ that sits

between the lungs, hypo- refers to under, and -plasia refers to development.

So, thymic hypoplasia is a condition where the thymus is underdeveloped and has a reduced

number of cells.

By week 4 of development, the embryo takes on a more recognizably "human" form—but

to be honest, it still looks more like a shrimp than a baby.

At the head end of this little shrimp-like creature, a set of structures called the pharyngeal

apparatus begins to develop, consisting of pharyngeal arches, clefts, and pouches.

The components of the pharyngeal apparatus develop into various head and neck structures,

and sometimes multiple arches join together to give rise to a single structure.

Now, the epithelial tissue of the embryo's third and fourth pouch turns into the inferior

parathyroid glands as well as the superior parathyroid glands, while the epithelial tissue

that lines the ventral region of the third pouch forms the thymus.

Both glands then go on to break off from the pharyngeal wall and eventually attach to the

posterior side of the thyroid.

The thymus now free, migrates down the middle of the pharynx, until it ends up in its final

position in the front of the thorax where it fuses with its counterpart from the opposite

side.

During childhood, the thymus occupies considerable room behind the sternum, in a part of the

chest known as the mediastinum, a space in the chest between the lungs that also contains

the heart.

But when people become older, it atrophies and is replaced by fatty tissue.

It's here in the thymus, where certain immune cells from the bone marrow mature into T lymphocytes

or T cells, where the T stands for Thymus.

Once mature, these T cells help defend the body against infections by activating other

cells of the immune system as well as checking the body's cells for viral infection or

abnormalities like cancer.

In thymic hypoplasia, a small portion of chromosome 22 is deleted in a condition known as DiGeorge

syndrome or 22q11.2 deletion syndrome.

On chromosome 22, there's a gene called TBX1 that controls the development of the

3rd and 4th pharyngeal pouch during the prenatal period.

So, when there's a 22q11.2 deletion, there's no TBX1 gene, and the thymus and parathyroid

glands ends up underdeveloped.

In thymic hypoplasia, the immature T cells from the bone marrow don't have a place

to go to mature, and so these people often have a deficiency in mature T cells.

The parathyroid glands also remains underdeveloped.

Normally it secretes parathyroid hormone which promotes the absorption of calcium in the

intestines as well as kidneys while breaking down bones to release more calcium into the

blood.

But when the parathyroid glands are underdeveloped, there's less parathyroid hormone which results

in hypocalcemia.

Thymic hypoplasia also happens in people with ataxia-telangiectasia syndrome, and there

It's caused by a defect in the ATM gene, or Ataxia-Telangiectasia Mutated gene, found

on chromosome 11.

The ATM gene encodes a protein whose job is to recognize DNA damage and activate proteins

to fix the damage.

Another function of the gene is to maintain the distal portion of our chromosomes called

telomeres.

These telomeres protect the ends of the chromosome from degeneration, and when the telomere becomes

too short, the chromosome can no longer become replicated.

In ataxia-telangiectasia syndrome, rapidly dividing cells like thymic cells, die prematurely,

which leads the thymus to atrophy.

Motor neurons in the cerebellum also die prematurely, leading to uncoordinated muscle movement called

ataxia.

Just like in DiGeorge syndrome, T cells don't have a place to mature, and so these people

become deficient in mature T cells, making them susceptible to infections.

In ataxia-telangiectasia syndrome, unlike DiGeorge syndrome, the parathyroid glands

develop normally, and secrete normal levels of parathyroid hormone which results in normal

calcium levels in the blood.

Early symptoms of thymic hypoplasia are repeated infections due to a T cell deficiency which

results in a weakened the immune system.

In DiGeorge syndrome there are also symptoms caused by hypocalcemia which include osteoporosis

and tetany or involuntary contraction of muscles.

Other symptom associated with this disorder are congenital cardiac defects like tetralogy

of Fallot, cleft palate, and learning disabilities.

In ataxia telangiectasia, there can also be symptoms like ataxia which is a problem with

muscle coordination, telangiectasia, which are dilated blood vessels in the skin and

eye, and an increased risk of cancer.

Diagnosing thymic hypoplasia often begins with genetic testing, which can help identify

if it's DiGeorge syndrome or ataxia-telangiectasia syndrome.

And certain blood tests looking for T cell numbers and function can help determine the

cause of recurrent infections.

Also, calcium levels in the blood may hint at the two conditions associated with thymic

hypoplasia.

In DiGeorge syndrome, there is hypocalcemia while in ataxia telangiectasia there's normal

levels of calcium or eucalcemia.

Antibiotics may be used to treat infections from thymic hypoplasia.

Surgery might be required for more severe cases though, like a thymus transplant.

All right, as a quick recap, thymic hypoplasia is a condition where the thymus is underdeveloped

leading to a reduced number of T cells.

There are two main causes of thymic hypoplasia, DiGeorge syndrome, and Ataxia-telangiectasia

syndrome, both of which cause a reduction of thymic cells.

In DiGeorge syndrome the parathyroid glands are underdeveloped, this results in less parathyroid

hormones which results in hypocalcemia.

On the other hand, in Ataxia-telangiectasia syndrome, the parathyroid glands develop normally,

this results in normal levels of parathyroid hormones which results in normal levels of

calcium in

the blood.

How to Get Underneath Your Mower Deck Easier - Duration: 1:23.

I'm Aaron Graber with Ventrac.

In this video we're going to highlight the importance of the hydraulic flip-up kit for

finish mowers and show you the process of using it.

It's a major advantage to be able to flip up the finish mower so you can service it

or clean it frequently.

It also makes the process quicker of changing blades, sharpening blades.

You can also store or transport the mower deck in the service position.

Which gives you more space on a trailer or in a storage facility.

First, make sure the deck is in the lowest cut height position.

Then, raise the hood, pull three pins, and release the belt tension

and lower the hood.

Now you're ready to flip the deck up.

Start the tractor, raise the hitch arms with the front lever then flip the deck with the

rear lever.

Be sure to replace the safety pins back underneath the deck lid.

Thanks for watching this video on the hydraulic deck lift kit.

Vision Day Will Help You Figure it All Out in One Day - Duration: 4:34.

I'm Dr. Stacey Schatz.

I live outside of Boston, Massachusetts.

I'm a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and I own a physical therapy practice.

Probably my biggest hesitation in doing Vision Day was I thought, I'm going to look like

an idiot because I really don't know what I want to do and where I should go.

I thought, how am I going to go to a one-day session and figure out some component of what

I really want to do.

During the Vision Day, what I found was that there were really some self-limiting beliefs

that I had.

There were some psychological hangups, for lack of a better word, that I didn't even

know were there.

During the Vision Day, they kind of came to light in our conversations, and then not only

did they come to light, we were able to kind of clear them, get them out of the room, so

to speak, and honestly, out of my mind so that then I was able to really recognize what

I was not seeing before, but also recognize now there's the opportunity to really work

on where we're going to go from here and how to outline the path to get there.

That was a huge revelation for me.

You know how you see these commercials, there are these 25-pound blankets that people put

on, and they supposedly immediately relax?

I would say Vision Day was almost that process.

I felt that Rob knew everything that he needed to know about me.

The preparation ahead of Vision Day is very complete.

I didn't have to feel like I needed to explain anything, and he really blanketed me in comfort.

I was comfortable and felt taken care of.

It was just such an amazing experience.

I remember fresh flowers on the tables.

I remember Wilber the cat curled up on his chair watching the entire process, the sound

of the water fountain outside.

By the end of our Vision Day I had a complete action plan, and they actually made complete

sense.

Literally, from the moment I left Vision day, I was immediately able to get those things

started.

I knew what I needed to do, how I needed to do it.

Not only the "what I needed to do," but also what needed to go on the back burner.

Rob made it really very easy, very clear, and I had complete agreement.

Once it was all presented to me, it made total sense of where I really needed to focus and

why.

It's an amazing experience.

I just, I know of nothing else like Vision Day.

I think that Rob and Debbie are fantastic people, and they really love what they do,

and it comes across ... You feel it every step of the way, that they are emotionally

invested in you and your growth, your future, your ability to follow your own dreams and

path.

They want you to succeed.

If you are in a position where you really aren't positive or sure exactly which way

to go or how to get there, or if there's something getting in your way, and you're not even sure

what that thing is that's getting in your way, I think that Vision Day really helps

you to uncover that and lay a really clean, nice foundation to develop and to proceed

down that path of growth and development or scaling a business.

Rob is fantastic about giving the feedback and helping to uncover what your purpose is

and what your vision and destiny really are and how to get there.

It was nurturing.

It was fun.

It was relaxing.

We got so much done during that day that, by the end of the day, I felt a huge sense

of accomplishment, but I also did not feel like I had stress or anxiety.

It wasn't a laborious process.

It wasn't like being in school.

It was just a great, relaxing, fun, inspiring day that I would do again in a minute, and

I would absolutely recommend for other people.

My son has flown from a golden cage. I am not going to let him enter another one.

You will return to me; to the place where you belong.

Nefes, close Yiğit's eyes. I have got an account to call first.

Don't come closer or I will shoot you down.

I made a promise to myself.

I will replace all your bad memories with good ones.

Are you going to cooperate with us, or are you going to aid and abet Vedat?

Ryan Van Praet - Cardiac Rehabilitation Program - Health Yourself Guide - Duration: 1:56.

What we end up doing is we get the individuals who unfortunately have had a

cardiac event, be it something maybe a little more minor like stenting to open

up a blood vessel or something a little more dramatic like you know a bypass

surgery where there's a lot of a lot of trauma, let's say, and so in terms of

secondary prevention you know they've already had their

cardiac event so what we are trying to do is rehabilitate them through actual

practical physical activity also through health education on being active for

life, dietary requirements etc. in order to prevent a secondary cardiac event.

So, what does that look like then, somebody has had a cardiac event, they're

discharged, they're sent out to your program? What happens next how often are they coming in?

Sure so if they've had a cardiac event especially in my local

area what would happen is they're they would be put on a waiting list to to see

if they're even first interested in becoming part of a cardiac

rehabilitation program, and if they are then once that waiting list has cleared

so it's usually about a three to four-month waiting list

we would call them and we'd say are you interested in coming in for an

orientation we'd get a group of ten to twelve of them for an orientation and

we'd say look this this is our program here are your requirements and I

explained that in a second and if you are interested fantastic there's there's

really no fee to you if you're not interested then that's fine but you sort

of need to know more or less right away because the waiting list is so long the

government only covers so many spots per year.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Four non-fiction books you should read! - Duration: 6:17.

Hello everybody and welcome to The Paper Booklight! My name is Laura Munoz

I have to say that I'm really happy! I found out that I passed my Cambridge English Proficiency exams

I am currently applying for a MA degree in Translation

So as English is not my first language these exams

were a requirement for the application... So I am in the process of writing my essays

and hopefully I will be starting to study this September!

So, in today's video

I am gonna recommend you four fantastic non-fiction books that you should absolutely read!

So, the first one is "The call of the weird" by Louis Theroux

It is published by Pan Macmillan and there's gonna be a new reprint with a Q&A as well

For those who don't know Louis Theroux, he's one of the most famous documentary makers

He has this breakup that makes him leave everything in a warehouse

and go and travel around, you know?

He's writing a book or he's in this

process of writing a book and he's like "okay hang on a minute!

I was wondering if these people who I interviewed were okay" You know, how are they doing?

So he organizes what it is a "catch up tour" So you've got Tina Turner's

ex-husband, a guy who believes in UFOs, a survivalist... I think he was a guy who

was living in the bunker, and also a porn star

What I really like from Louis Theroux

is that you can see the essence of the people he interviews... "Why are you

behaving like this?" "why are you motivated to do this?"

it's a really interesting light read, and I would say is a really good complement to his documentaries.

My favorite one is the Christmas one, which reunites the

subjects of this book and basically they makes them spend Christmas together and

you can see like how despite their own differences, in the end like, they are all

brought all* together by food and music.

Besides "This is going to hurt" (Adam Kay) is released on paperback!

You've got some really interesting memoirs of people who used to work for the NHS.

Adam Kay's is one of them. Then you have got Henry Marsh with

"Admissions" and "Do no harm" and also the book I'm bringing you here now which is

"Your life in my hands" by the Dr. Rachel Clarke.

Is published by Metro which is an imprint of John Blake Books

So, she used to be a journalist. She got into medicine in her thirties which is to be

honest quite remarkable because it is not the usual thing to do and she was

combining, you know, motherhood with the changes and cuts in the NHS.

The NHS is the National Health Service. It's one of the most valuable institutions in

the United Kingdom, you know. I would say this is one of the pillars of society

Doctors, carers, nurses and for instance all of the health care professionals...

They are fantastic

So she basically works in what is called 'palliative care'

it's a very intense career to have.

The book is divided in different chapters, I think

it is like 15 or 16 - minus the epilogue, the prologue... You know?

it's relatively short. It is a really interesting non-fiction book because besides telling you what's

the current situation of the NHS. She is doing an interesting work of activism

that you should check her out online.

I think that it's a really interesting account of what it is

also like to be a woman working as doctor in an institution that is suffering from lots

of modifications from politicians and and current political situations as well

Because, you know, all these stories I have been recommending were written by

men. They're really interesting accounts but what is it really like to be a woman

and combining motherhood, marriage and a rota of 70 hours per week at least

So to be honest, I really recommend her book; and if you've got the occasion to

attend any of of her events just please do so!

Another really good book I'm recommending to you today is "Stick with it: The science of the lasting behaviour"

by the dr. Sean Young. It is published by Penguin

As the title says it is about

the science behind the lasting behavior, and I would like to recommend it

especially if you like you know the type of person that you as - I think the most

of us like - it started project like you know really enthusiastically and then

it's like then you start dreading it *growls in Spanish bookseller

And I think, like, if you have a goal let's

say like you want to stop smoking or you want to go to the gym or I don't know and you want to

set up a business... So these are ambitious goals, sometimes they can be a bit

daunting. So personally I would really recommend this book

It's divided in nine chapters so, I mean, it's not the typical poetic self-help book like you

know "Big magic" by Elizabeth Gilbert if you like to see like the science side of

things I would definitely recommend this book to you

And last but not least

this is a book that I liked so much and has helped me a lot with my Proficiency exams

it is "Watching the English" by Kate Fox

The hidden rules of the English behaviour. It's published by Hodder and Stoughton.

Let me tell you the story. Kate Fox is a British anthropologist and she's being studying

the nuances of the British behavior for years and she made a really good compilation

There's this book, you know, and also a TV series that was made later on it's called "Very

British problems". The difference is like this is like quite scientific you can

see like you know how she did this research what are her results and that

one is like an updated version.

This book is mainly divided in two parts, one of

them is the conversation rules and the other one is the behavioural rules what

are the nuances behind you know what the so-called banter or the weather! (laughs)

The weather has got so many intricate codes

Once you start integrating in

different cultures like you're seeing all these things from the outside but

also you're immersing yourself and you find yourself that you are actually

absorbing these rules

So yeah it is a truly interesting book but I'm afraid

it's not available in Spanish yet. If you're studying here or you are like

doing like English Studies please do read this book because it's really interesting

If you liked this video don't forget to subscribe, give me

a thumbs up, have a look to my different videos I am leaving you here as well as

my social media accounts I am leaving you here and tell me if you got any

fantastic non-fiction recommendations don't hesitate to leave me a comment!

So, see you soon!

Ryan Van Praet - Don't Get Forced Into Rehab - Health Yourself Guide - Duration: 2:43.

One of the big things I always tell people during our intake is is if you

are here because your spouse dragged you here by the ear and we've seen it, or if

your physician you know dragged you here by the ear, you're not going to be

successful long term you might get through the six months but long term

you're just gonna go right back to where you were and we've seen it. We've seen

people that come in for two weeks and never come back and they just you know

they say well it's genetics there's nothing I can do about it and genetics

certainly has a role and I always you have to acknowledge that but if you just

throw up your hands and say there's nothing I can do about it, well, I mean

genetics could give you all sorts of different diseases, right, so what we're

trying to say is through general health and wellness through general physical

activity on a consistent basis through proper eating nothing drastic just

maintenance like you would maintain a car. Were honest we say you

might have a heart attack but maybe we're giving you another ten or fifteen

years before that happens again and so for the most part people people come

around to that because that evidence that we show them through the numbers as

you mentioned the body is the best educator. We we try to get them to not

listen to us as much as it goes along we want them to listen to their body as

their body is saying wow, this is easier, I'm walking thirty minutes

where when I first came in I walked two minutes and even after thirty minutes um

far less out of breath than I was when I walked two minutes.

What kind of traction can you see in six month of time?

Well, besides the general feeling better which is what people will notice first, you know some

people are very data-driven and they want to see the numbers in terms of

blood pressure change you know they they might have pretty extreme blood pressure

issues and they want to see those numbers change and they don't

immediately they do very acutely after exercise but then obviously rebound back

up to to where they're they're unsafe levels are, but what we're trying to get

them to do is you see a chronic low of their blood pressure which some

people love some people are about the feeling right about how they're feeling

the you know unless short of breath, my muscles don't hurt as much, I feel I just

feel more steady on my feet, I'm able to do more things at home so everybody

picks up on something a little bit different.

Spoken Word Poetry - I THINK OF YOU (Love poem with music) - Duration: 2:05.

I think of you Do you think of me?

When I think of us, It's a lush fantasy

I remember back when You were my ten

And I was your man Remember back then?

Remember back when You loved me?

And I loved you It was all we'd need

It was all we believed in Before you were leaving,

I'm still grieving But I'm still breathing

I think of you Do you think of me?

I used to think of us As the fucking dream team

But this team split And yes I admit

That I can be a dick A selfish prick

If I'm being punished I've done my time

If I do cross your mind Drop me a line

My number's still the same You can call me

Just say my name And then you'll see

That I think of you Do you think of me?

If you do, then maybe what will be will be

You can be with me You will see in me

A new breed of man Who can be outstanding

The last man standing By your side

Until the end of time Baby, be my bride

Yes I do daydream But I dream of you

And its only you To make my dreams come true

I think of you

Do you think of me?

I think about you...
