rayleighconnect - The complete remote energy monitoring and control solution - Duration: 5:52.
Welcome to rayleighconnect™ the complete remote energy monitoring and control solution.
Here are some typical applications for the rayleighconnect™ system.
Genset operation and control. Asset tracking and a geofencing of plant equipment.
Efficiency monitoring for renewable energy installations.
The monitoring of energy usage in warehouses. Energy usage and savings for university buildings.
Process monitoring and reporting for factories.
Building environmental control. Automatic utility billing of residential accommodation.
Critical systems monitoring for server rooms and data centres with configurable
text alerts and notifications. The system can be used for offices and commercial
buildings, hospitals, farm buildings and construction areas. In fact just about
anywhere you need. So how does it work? Whatever it is in your world that you
need to keep an eye on. If it can be connected to a Modbus data collection
device rayleighconnect™ can use the output. In this example we show an energy
meter with Modbus output connected to one of our easy connect controllers.
Depending on the controller the data is sent by GSM, by local Ethernet network or
via Wi-Fi to Ethernet at adjustable time periods to the rayleighconnect™ Cloud Servers.
Data from up to 128 Modbus devices can be collected by each
controller. Relay outputs on our controllers can also be used to control
devices and processes locally. By using an additional Rayleigh Connect converter
data collected from pulse and Mbus devices can also be sent to our servers.
Up to 40 of these devices can be connected per converter. Where hardwiring
may be an issue due to building layout, wiring cost or distance, our rayleighconnect™
Modbus wireless transmitters and receivers can be used. This allows for up
to a 10 kilometre distance between the data collection device and the
controller. Up to 128 Modbus devices can be connected to each slave
transmitter. Up to 32 slave transmitters can be connected to each master receiver.
Once the data has been sent to our cloud-based servers the information is
then available to access on your web browser by logging into your account on
a PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone or by a dedicated metering display unit, giving
you the freedom to access your data wherever you have an internet connection.
So what does it look like? Right from the conception of rayleighconnect™ our aim has
been to give our customers access to comprehensive data delivered on a clear,
clean dashboard that is extremely simple to navigate, personalise and grow. The
dashboard is made up of display components called widgets. The core set
of widgets relate to the controller and each controller has its own dashboard.
Depending on the controller these include communication status, SIM card
number, GSM signal strength and location, digital inputs and outputs and also
analog inputs. Both digital and analog capabilities can be expanded to any
number with additional expansion modules. We then have widgets showing the status
or reading from the device being monitored for example; widgets are
available for monitoring temperature, water usage, gas meter readings, the
number of process operations or hours run. A weather station widget showing the
external temperature, cloud cover and wind speed. Equipment consumption and of
course, readings from three-phase and single phase energy meters. The dashboard
can also display virtual meters as gauges or graphs from individual inputs
or combined inputs. One of the most commonly used widgets is for three-phase
energy meters. These display the voltage and amps per phase and total kilowatt
hours. More in-depth information can also be viewed by clicking on the selected
meter and selecting charts. You are then presented with the energy consumption
line graph. This can also be viewed as a bar graph with 30-minute time intervals
and selectable usage periods. You can also view the current usage
profile and drill down to a period of interest. The power factor, voltage and
also frequency profiles can also be viewed in the same manner. Another great
feature is the average, maximum and minimum value icon, which gives values
for the displayed chart and of course you can download any of the data you are
viewing as a CSV file for external review. Simple intuitive controls make
browsing the usage data of whatever time frame you're interested in a breeze. The
dashboard itself can be adjusted with snap in place widgets that can be
reordered or grouped as desired. rayleighconnect™ offers many advanced features
and can be customized to suit any number of applications. Some popular uses
include generator control, GPS asset tracking with geofencing, solar PV
monitoring, invoice generation via its automated billing application. The
applications for rayleighconnect™ are quite literally endless. rayleighconnect™
powerful, flexible and economical. Our engineers are on hand to help with any
of your inquiries. Contact us now to organize your free demonstration.

Blogger of the Month - Thomas Banik - Duration: 3:06.
What did you do before Instagram?
Good question, no one ever really asked about that.
Actually I just did my bachelor studies in media management
and … partied a lot!
What's your advice for Instagram?
The most important thing is to have fun.
I don't really know anyone who has a lot of followers
and started all of it because their initial aim was to be a blogger.
You have to do something you are good at or you love a lot
in order to be able to do it in the long run.
Just be active, be good at what you're uploading
or be some kind of special in it, or maybe be recognizable in how you write!
It doesn't always have to be the imagery.
And then do it all for a long time.
These are the three tips I can give really!
Do you draw a line between job and leisure time?
I have a question for you in return:
If i get up in the morning and look at my phone how I usually do
maybe check Instagram as well:
is this work or leisure time?
That's a positive and a negative thing at the same time.
My private life is mixing with my work.
This should be everyone's goal,
because you basically work half of your life or maybe even more.
You're sitting in an office or work the whole time and
most of the people work, to then live afterwards.
But it is actually super sad, that you throw away half of your life
and are not really enjoying it.
So that is why I'm trying to make my work also be my life,
so that i am able to fully live all the time.
Biggest travel fail?
Luckily I never really experienced one.
So many colleagues of mine told me that they lost their whole suitcase.
I just always get special security checks at the airport, I don't know why,
but always more thorough than all the others.
The most disgusting thing you have eaten while traveling?
Yes, cockroaches for example, in Thailand.
They were that big!
But actually they're not even that disgusting.
But yeah, they look gross and also feel weird in your mouth in the beginning.
As if you were eating seaweed and then there is also something super soft.
Probably innards or so.
What's your travel quirk?
Actually I somehow i managed to turn my quirk into an advantage.
My quirk is that I'm not very good at organizing things.
That's why I just try to go to places without making plans.
This has become my style by now
I just book and travel somewhere with no plan or something,
not how others do it.
I just go there and walk through the streets, talk to people
and try to get to know the locals, because only they know the real stuff.
But this is definitely a weakness as well - i'm chaotic!
Who would you love to receive a postcard from?
Leonardo DiCaprio.
because he is the best actor on the planet!

6 Things You Need To Know Before You Buy Honey Again - Duration: 7:03.
Six things you need to know before you buy a honey again
Americans are making a a a ham beeline for honey
we consume 400,000,000 pounds of the sweet stuff each year
according to the national honey board
and with the popularity of the natural sweetener soaring not only our farmers markets full of fancy flavors grocery stores are following suit
that the selection can be overwhelming are certain types healthier or tastier than others
we hit the hive to find out
one you can probably skip the organic and non GM oh honey
did you know a standard jar of honey requires a bee to make a million flower visits cap on just one collection triple beacon hit 100 flowers and
travel a 2 mile radius from the hive he's really are busy
so for a honey to be labeled organic all the plants and the entire foraging area need to be pesticide free
the capers may be doing their part meaning no pesticides or antibiotics in the hive but some experts say it's near impossible to prove that
these aren't exposed to pesticides and synthetic fertilizers on their long flights
ditto for contact with te amo crops
to where you buy honey matters
that you can't necessarily trust all made in the USA varieties honey has a dirty little secret Chinese honey
which may come to the U.S. via India or Malaysia
can be tainted with lead and antibiotics
that finding a quality honey isn't as simple as buying a maid in the USA product
turns out spiking honey is a common practice in the U.S. says mark frese to the keeper and founder of Arizona honey market
meaning you could be getting honey that's been tainted with corn syrup or other sweeteners
either fed to the bee's or blended into the honey directly to make it more affordable
but Howell is a consumer to know that proof is in the pollen says frau to the presence of pollen which gets stuck on bees legs when their
collecting nectar and makes its way into the honey can tell you the origin and potency of the honey
a study by food safety news found that 75% of honey sold in big box retailers and grocery
stores contained no pollen while 100% of honey bought at farmers markets
coal OPS and natural grocers like trader joe's had their full pollen content
so where you buy your honey could very well make a difference
something else to keep in mind choosing wrought honey which means honey has not been heated or filtered
doesn't guarantee quality or presence of pollen label laws are loose but if it's opaque cream colored
or crystallized that's a good sign if you want more proof
there is a labeling program called true source honey which can help consumers feel confident that the honey they purchase is the real thing
says Sharon Palmer RT and dietitian and author of plant powered for life
three light honey tastes much different than dark honey is graded based on color clarity
flavor and moisture
not on nutritional value
notes Rebecca screech field
RT and a registered dietitian in Washington, DC
as a rule of thumb that means lighter colored honey is
grayed see are milder than amber shades
grade be or their darker the older counterparts
grade a match the color to the food
more delicate hun ease like clover work well in salad dressing while more assertive varieties buckwheat
the make great marinades
what's more honey reflects the flavor of its source and with the influx of single flavor and local varieties flooding store shelves
the Liu berry chamomile
lavender orange blossom there are more types than ever play with a different flavors
says Shauna sever cookbook author of real sweet by changing up the honey you use it's almost like a adding additional flavor
four sure pick any over sugar
but don't pull a pooh bear honey gets a lot of props it has slightly more nutrients and antioxidants than traditional table sugar
plus it's less processed and lower on the glycemic index
says Palmer what's more it contains 25 different oligosaccharides
cards that feed the good bacteria in the got which has been tide to boosted digest and immunity and mineral absorption
while it has more calories than the white stuff
23 calories per T SP compared to sugar 16 calories it's sweeter and dancers so you can use less of it sweet right
that keep in mind that it's still a sweetener and chemically not that much different than sugar
so moderation is key
no eating it by the pa awful five then you call honey isn't a miracle cure all
but it does have some cool perks
that named liquid gold
with a price tag to match man yuka honey is produced in New Zealand by bees that pollinate the native man yuka bush
and even though it gets the stamp of approval from skin glowing selects like Gwyneth Paltrow and Kurt meeker - Ian for its complexion cure
all powers slathering it on your face it isn't a proven at me or wrinkle two are we wish
that said manu kid does have a medicinal leg up over conventional honey
in addition to the natural moisturizing and at the microbial properties true to all honey
than you can contains high concentrations of methyl glee oaks low a compound proven to fight off wound infecting bacteria
so applied topically
it could make your cuts and scrapes heal faster
it's also used to heal sore throats and ulcers
and scrooge field note the higher you MF number on menu call Abeles means higher antibacterial potency
six farmers market honey isn't necessarily local how do you know farmers market honey isn't just shipped in and sold in Penn trustworthy jars
unless you go inspect the far more beehive you don't
says frau to there's no guarantee that farmers market vendors harvest the honey themselves or that it's even from your home state so asked
plenty of questions before plopping down your money
also note local honey isn't necessarily healthier and there's no evidence that relieves allergy symptoms
