These 10 Signs Might Indicate He's Scared Of How Much He Likes You

Love is sometimes motivating and energizing.

However, sometimes it is problematic if you love someone who has already a lifetime partner.

He really likes you, but there is no way to approach you whatsoever.

It is just inappropriate to do so because he needs to deal with either your boyfriend

or his girlfriend.

Additionally, it is because he just does not have anything to express his love.

He feels weak, and what he can do is basically just enjoying your beauty.

Here is some signs that make the relationship impossible.

#1 - He slowly leaves after listening to your story

It is always great to have a person who listens to you.

When he's friendly and attractive, you don't realize that you've revealed so much information.

Since both enjoy the conversation together, he also starts to open up.

However, it does not last long.

He starts to fade away from your life after that very conversation and you never know

why.

#2 - He's been hurt so hard

He really likes you, and he believes he can make something out of it.

However, sometimes love can lead to hatred because of many things.

This is something that he wants to avoid, and that's why he's so scared to fall

in love with you.

#3 - Mixed signal

Another reasons is because of a mixed signal from a man, and it is actually more obvious

to see signal from a man.

Man typically wants the relationship when he gives it unlike women with their difficult-to-interpret

signals.

He definitely looks annoying with such attitude, but you know he really likes you.

#4 - He has no plan

You cannot expect anything too much from a man who's scared to fall in love with you.

He loves you, and he likes you.

However, he really does not have any plan for the future with you.

He's too scared to continue his life with you.

#5 - He gets uncomfortable easily

At the time when you can discuss something that matters such as being in a serious relationship,

he startles.

She turns into something else, and you just cannot recognize who he is anymore.

#6 - He acts cutely

He really likes you and he wants you to be happy.

Sometimes, he also wants to satisfy himself by tickling you and making jokes.

However, when he realizes that he's going that direction, he stops and he walks away.

That one is not so cute.

#7 - He stays after sex (if it ever happened), but he runs away in the morning

He is so sweet after having sex.

He cuddles you and he holds you tight.

However, when the morning raises, he turns into someone different.

He becomes agitated, panicked, and confused.

It is like he has made a big mistake that he runs like that.

#8 - His actions speak louder

You can tell that he loves you so much, but there is no way that you can tell that until

he truly says it.

However, his action actually shows that he loves you no matter what.

He's attentive, kind, protective, understanding, and nice.

#9 - He breaks eye contact

He just cannot fall in love too deep with you, and that's why he stops looking at

your eyes when he's having conversation with you.

#10 - He says he doesn't want a relationship

He really does not like being in a relationship because it hurts him a lot.

However, it is actually completely the opposite considering the fact that he acts like a boyfriend

indeed.

Well, that's some signs that might indicate he's scared of how much he likes you.

Really cool information isn't it?

Are You Ever Too Old To Be SUCCESSFUL? | Thoughts On Things - Duration: 2:23.

As you get older, time seems to pass by quicker and quicker, and before you know

it... you feel like you've missed your window of opportunity in whatever that may be.

That couldn't be further from the truth. You are never too old to find success in something.

Even if you, watching this, are 95 years old you can still find success.

You can make it happen if you really want to.

All it takes is hard work, patience, and determination.

Plenty of people in the public eye have found their success later in life.

The late Alan Rickman got his first big break in the acting world when he was in his forties.

Vivienne Westwood had just turned 50, when the world really took notice of her creations.

And Judi Dench, although well known to Brit audiences, only hit global success at 61...

with the role of M in the Bond film Golden Eye.

People find success at any age, and that means that you too can find success at any age.

The truth of the matter is that most people... by the end of their 20s... give up on their dreams and passions.

Often the responsibilities of adult life get in the way...

and the easier option is a steady job, and a steady income.

But that's boring isn't it... and you only get one shot at life... so why not rinse life for all that it's worth?

If you don't I can assure you that somebody else will.

If you want something hard enough, you can have it.

If someone's already done it before, you can do it too.

And if it hasn't been achieved yet, I'm sure it's pretty figure-out-able if you stick at it long enough.

Success means something different to everyone.

One person's success, is another person's failure.

What is success to you? Really think about it. Write it down.

Make it a priority, every day, to work towards that success - even if it's just for five minutes.

Let me know what success is to you down in the comments.

I'm Tortor, and you've been watching 'Thoughts On Things'.

Get Brand Deals To Sponsor You (PART 2) - Duration: 6:57.

So step number one, I would say is make sure you have your contact information

on your YouTube page, somewhere in your description and in your About section so

your brand knows where to find you and if you have a web page, you want to have

an About section just for brands where they can get to know who you are, what

brands you've worked with, what kind of numbers you generate you know, your

status as an influencer or basically you're selling yourself to the brands

that they really want to work with you. - So Grant, you might actually share

with us one of your like. one of your really bigger brand deals. maybe one of

the biggest brand deals that you've ever done?

- Yeah, sure. This one actually happened about three years ago and I think it was

kind of a company who was a little bit new to influencer marketing because when

I negotiated with them, I really went high and they didn't counteract on it,

they actually just accepted it and so you know, for me, that was one of the

biggest brand deals I've ever done, it was about a hundred and fifty thousand

dollars and I give them everything that I had, I put all the bells and whistles

on to it, I just put everything into it for them and you know, the

results on their end were really mixed they felt like it was a really homerun

in one area but then they didn't really sell a lot of units either so we didn't

do any repeat deals, I didn't do any more brand deals with them, it's just kind of

like a one-time thing. So that's another thing I want to

mention is when you're doing these deals with brands, you really want to take them

on as a partner and say look, I care about you, I want repeat business because

brands are really your customer, you want to treat them well, you want to get their

brand message in a way that they resonate with because you want them to

come back and do it again you know. With this other company, if I would have only

maybe done a fifty thousand dollar deal, maybe they would have come back four or

five six seven different times and that would have been more longer-term revenue

but you know, at the time I took a high fee, they didn't get the results that

they wanted and so it was done but I would say you know for planning purposes,

a lot of the bigger brand deals really are in that 30 to 80 thousand dollar

range. When you have a large established channel making about a million views per

video. - Now I want to ask you this other question, what was one of your favorite

wants to do? Like I've seen some of your videos, man, you get creative, like you

have fun. There's one video where you guys were out in California and have

built like the world's largest smoke bombing and Hillier

termite like I think it was like for that I mean, it was just it was is like,

what's one of your favorite brand deals that you've ever done? - That's a great

question. I've done so many that are so fun and I

think that's part of the fun of being creative influencer is how do you take

somebody else's product and integrate it into a video that fits your style and

that your audience is going to want to support so you know working with Lenovo,

we came up with this idea to make a giant volcano and pack it with sugar

rocket fuel because in my rocket experiments, I notice this stuff looks

like volcano going off and puts off a lot of smoke how cool would it be to

make a smoking volcano so with their team we built the 14-foot volcano and

made a huge pyrotechnic display. That was awesome but one that I really enjoyed

even more than that was taking a 10-foot rocket and strapping moto Z force phone

to it pressing record and shooting it up to 20,000 feet at Mach 1.4. We recovered

that footage, we recovered the rocket, that was a fantastic experience and

working with D Walt, I think D Walt is awesome because I used

their products anyway. They reached out to me they sent me all their cordless

power equipment, I had cordless table saws, cordless miter saws for their

flexible system. I took it out to the desert,

I built tables, I built all kinds of stuff and then we made a huge bonfire

that we lit off with a rocket launcher. So for me that's awesome.Lighting a

bonfire in the desert with a rocket launcher promoting the D Walt flexible

that made all possible. For me, that's just a lot of fun and it gives their

product exposure in a totally unique way yeah because otherwise you know ,if they

want to do a promo, they've got to hire a company to do a video you know they're

looking more to the Internet now because we have followers, we have influence and

so why not just give us a little bit of the budget and have us make a video for

them? - Wow so let me just share back some of the things that I've heard in this I

think are super valuable. First of all, you shared a couple of websites where

you can go if you're brand new for actually picking up some some

sponsorships by saying I'm out here, I'm available, this is my level of influence,

these are the projects I like doing and you might pick up a deal that way.

Another thing that I've really learned is that you got to take care of people

like they're your partner's, it's not just like a one-time get a check and run

for the hills, it's a, hey, if we treat each other right and if we nail

this then maybe we'll get a chance to do things again and it sounds like you've

had a chance to have some sponsors that will come back and do things again and

again and again yeah and then the other thing that I've heard is that

it's important that you make sure you take care of your sponsors so that when

you negotiate hey, what do I need to do in the video, then make sure that you're

incorporating that in an authentic way to the videos that you like to create so

that it's a total win-win but where you really blow them

away and you go over the hill making sure that you really take care of them.

- Yeah, that's really, you don't want to just take the money and run, you want to

treat them as a partner and and recently you know, we've got partners that want to

build out campaigns for an entire year, they'll say you know six to eight to

maybe even ten videos over the course of a year so this really is turning into

long term relationship and just two more things that I wanted to share with you

guys, while you're getting started, if you know other influencers who are already

being sponsored, you might want to reach out to them and see if they can make a

connection with you to the brands that they're working with.

Now most brands when they're doing a sponsored video, they don't come straight

to the influencer, they go to an agency and the agency finds an influencer so if

you start tracking down which agencies are bringing brand deals and you just

get up on the radar and say hey, I'm an influencer, I've got a following, this is

what I do, you know, keep me in mind for the next one, there's a good chance that

they'll circle back especially if you have a referral from someone they've

already done deals with in the past and if you don't have that connection, you

could look into getting a manager. Now there are there are companies out

there that call themselves MCN's, multi-channel networks, they will promise

you to do all kinds of brand deals, some of them will but for my experience, I'd

say 99% of people who are involved have a very poor experience so I would avoid

MCN's but you might want to look into getting a manager, these are people who

are already plugged into a lot of those agencies, they see a lot of the deal flow

and they're going to take about 10 to 20 percent of the actual deal itself but if

you're getting something you didn't have before, it might be well worth having

them on board and they're also going to have a good idea of what the market

value of these types of integrations are for your channel as well so look into

getting a manager, if you can, ask for referrals, sign up with some of these

companies and just make really great content. When you do sponsor deals, take

good care of your sponsors and you'll have plenty more. - Grant, thank you so much.

Man, really appreciate it and friends, that's the lowdown on sponsorships.

Thanks for joining us for this video guys. I hope you have great success

getting those meat and potatoes, the sponsored money is great money and

there's plenty of it. I think a lot of attention is moving from television to

the internet so this is just going to keep getting bigger. - And friends, as it gets

bigger, if you want to get in line and get your piece of the action on

sponsorships, you got to start first things first which is get that YouTube

channel off the ground and get it rolling in a successful way and again if

you want any help on that then check the link in the

description below, head over to our website, have a pit-stop,

see some of the services and ways that we can help you get there quicker and

faster so that we can make it happen. We'll see you there.

These 3 Massive Myths Are Stopping You From Making Music - BehindTheSpeakers.com - Duration: 9:53.

These three massive myths are stopping you from making music.

Keep watching to learn what they are and how to avoid them.

Hey, this is Jason from Behind The Speakers, and in this video you'll discover what it

really takes to make music like a pro.

But before we dive in, I also put together a free seven-day music-making challenge that

will help you develop the skills you need to double your musical output.

So if you're ready to make more music today, click the link in the description below or

up there in the video to get started right now.

Myth number one is you need to feel inspired to make great music.

Now the inspiration myth is one of the biggest myths that I see pushed among most music makers.

This idea that we're just supposed to sit around and wait for this feeling of inspiration

and creativity to wash over us, and then in a trance we can just sit down and write this

song in a dreamlike state and suddenly it sounds amazing, and it's a hit record and,

you know, we change the world, right?

When you talk to any professional music maker, anybody who does this for a living or on a

really high level, you don't find that they're sitting around waiting for inspiration to

happen.

They're proactive.

Every single day they show up and sit down in the chair and try to create.

And most days it probably doesn't feel like they make anything decent.

They feel like they're just banging their head against the wall, right?

But this is what music making is about, right?

It's about putting your butt in the chair and spending the time day after day to improve

your craft, not just sitting around and waiting for some magical feeling to wash over you.

So if you're waiting for inspiration, if you're waiting to be inspired and that's

the only time that you create, then you're not going to create very much.

Because if you're like most people, inspiration doesn't happen all that often.

That's not to say that you shouldn't create when you feel inspired, just that, you know,

inspiration is a part of it but at the end of the day if you really want to do this as

a pro and you really want to create lots of music, you gotta practice the art of sitting

down in your chair, and writing, and producing, and mixing, and recording even when you feel

uninspired, and even when it feels like you don't really create anything meaningful.

So instead of judging your progress by, you know, waiting for this inspired moment and

then having these songs that feel like they were just born out of this wonderful feeling

of inspiration, judge your progress by how much time you're spending just sitting in

the chair and making it happen.

And I promise you if you can really practice the art and the muscle of really just sitting

down and creating, and making the art of creation a habit versus just waiting and, you know,

kind of waiting for inspiration to wash over you, you're going to create a whole lot

more music.

Myth number two is your lack of free time is holding you back.

This is the biggest myth that I hear all the time from my students.

They say things like "man, if only I didn't have my day job, I'd have so much more time

that I'd be able to create so much more music."

Now inevitably, when I look at these people and actually dive in to their workflow and

their process of creating music, I say, you know, how much music did you create in the

last year?

And they say well, I made two songs.

And how long did you spend on each song?

Well, I took six months.

And how many hours did it actually take you to create that piece of music, and how many

hours did you spend toiling away tweaking plug-ins and not committing, and recording

a million different takes of everything, and then pushing everything off until mixing,

and then remixing it eight different times?

The solution is not more time.

Because inevitably time just becomes something that you use to push off the decisions, you

know, to push off making commitments instead of being firm about okay, I'm going to make

this piece of music.

I'm going to give myself a week to do it, and then I'm going to move on.

More time just becomes an excuse, right?

So more time doesn't necessarily mean more music.

And if you're struggling to create more music and you're feeling like you don't

have enough time, instead flip the whole time thing on its head.

Look at time not as a limitation, but as something that can be empowering.

It's something that can be a self-imposed boundary that you can use to actually become

more efficient, to tune your workflow, right?

To practice the art of making commitments.

So instead of saying man if I had more time I'd be able to create more music, instead

say okay well I only have four hours a week to work on music, and I'm going to create

a song a week in those four hours, and I'm going to challenge myself to write and record

and mix something in four hours.

And I know it sounds crazy, right?

But there's this idea called Parkinson's Law.

And basically the gist of it is work expands to whatever time we allot it, right?

So if you say I'm going to create a song in three months, you're going to take three

months.

You're going to figure out a way to fill up all that time with the music making process.

But if you say I'm going to make this happen in two weeks, or two hours, you might feel

like it's impossible, but you'll find a way.

You'll make it happen.

So again going back to this idea of lack of time, it's a myth.

We all have twenty-four hours in a day.

Granted some of us have more time to make music than others, but nine times out of ten

when I take a look at the workflow and the way that people are moving through the mixing

process and just the music making process in general, it's not a matter of more time,

it's looking at how can I be more efficient?

How can I make firmer commitments?

How can I decide?

How can I make decisions?

And if you practice those things, you're going to be able to make a whole lot more

music than you ever thought was possible in the limited amount of time that you have in

your day, whatever that might be.

Myth number three is you'll move on once it's perfect.

Now this is a myth that I know very well because I'm a perfectionist.

I like tweaking things forever, and I like to feel like I'm making the absolute best

thing that I can make.

And if you're like me, you know how debilitating this myth can be.

We all kind of know on an intellectual level that there's no such thing as perfection,

right?

There's no arrival point where you're going to spend, you know, eight days mixing

something and suddenly there's not going to be anything left to fix, right?

You can always find something to improve.

And what ends up happening is even when you spend a whole lot of time working on something,

and you make it what you think is perfect, and you toil away for way too long and then

finally you're done, then you listen to it three months later and you hear all sorts

of problems, right?

So the challenge is that we're constantly improving, right?

And so we're constantly going to be able to look back on what we'd done in the past

and say man, I wish I would've done this better.

I wish I would've done this instead.

The point is not to spend this time toiling away and working on one little thing so long

that you lose perspective and lose that momentum from finishing things and moving forward.

You have much more to gain from finishing a project and moving forward and starting

something new, than you do from toiling away for days or weeks or months on end.

A new project is going to present new challenges that are going to help you grow and progress

as a music maker, and not only that but you're going to be able to create much more music

in the process.

So instead of looking at the results of your creation, and judging that and constantly

thinking about okay how can I make this better?

How can I change this?

How can I tweak this a little bit better?

Look at the process and understand that making music is really about improving your own skills

and abilities.

And if you take that perspective, you'll find that instead of toiling away on each

individual track to make it perfect, look at the tracks as stepping stones.

And realize that once you've completed something, you kind of have another notch in your belt,

right?

You have another track under your wing that's just going to make you a better music maker,

and you're going to take all that knowledge and skill and experience that you gained on

to the next project, and that next project is going to sound so much better.

So instead of toiling away waiting for perfection, it's never going to happen - spoiler if

you didn't know that already - just move forward.

Don't let perfectionism hold you back from making music.

Now if you're ready to dive deeper, I also put together that free seven-day music-making

challenge that will help you develop the skills you need to double your musical output.

So if you're ready to double your musical output and make more music today, click the

myths do you struggle with the most?

HOT NEWS !! Ford pushes the Amazon Alexa envelope in the new EcoSport subcompact - Duration: 2:36.

Ford pushes the Amazon Alexa envelope in the new EcoSport subcompact

One of the signs that we're not quite at the point where phones and cars get along

perfectly is related to the setup.

It's not hard, but it's also not totally intuitive.

To use an iPhone, you first have to disable CarPlay on the EcoSport touchscreen (you might

be tempted to look for a way to disable the feature on your phone, but that doesn't

work).

You'll need to install a Ford app for Alexa on your phone.

Then, under a new mobile apps section on the EcoSport, the Alexa app will suddenly appear.

(The steps are similar if you are using an Android phone.)

Once you see the bot, you can click the icon on the touchscreen, press the Ford Sync button

and say "Alexa" to start using Alexa, or utter "Alexa" to your phone.

This last step is the strangest of all – normally, you can't say Alexa to an iPhone, but in

the EcoSport, you can.

Using Alexa in the EcoSport was a bit frustrating at first.

We had to reboot our phone as a refresh, but during an initial test the bot would sometimes

not work and not answer questions.

In a second test, most questions about playing music, the weather, and navigation got a response.

It's an odd experience to have full access to Alexa, because you can get lost in conversation.

After ordering some beef jerky at Amazon.com, streaming a Radiohead album, asking the bot

to close a garage door using a Vivint security system, and then goofing around by asking

a bunch of trivia questions, it became obvious that this is the future of car technology.

You can envision a day when all we do is drive and talk.

That's a nirvana state for sure.

Luminar: Layer Masks in Luminar 2018 - Duration: 8:17.

In Luminar 2018 you can use images to add more dimension and texture to follow

by overlaying one image with another. so in this Luminar video lesson I'm going

to teach you how to add image layers and use masking to create this grunge photo

effect.

Once you launch Luminar and at this startup screen go ahead and click on the

Open Image button to navigate to and open a file of your choice, in my case I

would be using a photo taken in Istanbul. So click to open and as you can see by

default Luminar opens up with this Preset Browser at the bottom of the UI

so if you want to have some extra real estate go ahead and click on its icon on

the top toolbar right here. All right, now let's go ahead and apply a filter to the

photo but I want to do this non-destructively by adding an

adjustment layer so go ahead and click on the plus symbol right here at the top

of the layers panel and choose the Add New Adjustment Layer. Now let's go ahead

and add a filter so click on the Add Filters button and as you can see we

have a lot of filters to choose from but all these filters are under some

categories so go ahead and scroll a bit and under the Professional category I'm

going to choose the LUT Mapping. LUT stands for a look up table typically used

for filmography, for cinematic color grading but the Luminar does support

LUTs in this way you can apply color grading to your own photos. So let's go

and click on the LUT mapping let's go ahead and choose one of the lots so I'm

going to go for the 1960 and all I'm going to do is increase its Contrast and

bit of the Saturation. Now if you want to collapse this pop-up list of

filters all if to do is click back on the Add Filters button.

To create the grunge look we need to add some texture photos and the

2 Lil Owls Studio offers some amazing texture collections, I

highly recommend it. For this Luminar tutorial

I am including couple of those texture photos, all you have to do is just

click on the (i) icon on the top right corner of the video to open up the Card

and begin downloading. In addition below the video description I have

included some of the sources you can find those textures or you can always

use your own photos. now in Luminar 2018 you can use the Add Image command to

place a texture above the photo, all you have to do is click on this (+) plus symbol at

the top of the layers panel and choose the Add New Image layer command. Go ahead

and click on the first 2 Lil Owls texture to place it in then click on the Blend

mode to change its blending mode from Normal to Multiply. Let's go ahead and

repeat this one more time and place one more texture again pack on the (+) plus icon

here, choose the Add New Image layer command and click on the second

2 Lil Owls texture to place that in. Again I'm going to change its blending mode from

Normal to Multiply and as a side note Luminar offers three mapping options, just

right click on the layer's thumbnail and select one of them. So we got under the

Image Mapping we got the Fill option which distorts the image to fill the

screen, we have the Scale to Fit option which enlarges the image to fit the

screen or you can just Fit the image to the width or height. In this case I'm

going to go for the Fill option because this is just a grunge texture I'm

applying to it. Luminar has the advantage of making

masking a very easy process to mask out certain areas in this case from the

texture photos all you have to do is click on the brush which is right here

and this is the masking tool. Now once you do that

Luminar offers four types of masks the Brush, the Gradient Mask, the Radial Mask,

and the Luminosity Mask. I'm just going to stick with the brush here and let's talk

about the the brush itself. First we can size up or size down the brush by using

the bracket keys, the square bracket keys on our keyboard so if you tap the left

bracket ( [ ) key you're going to decrease the size of the brush as you can see right

here on the top of the Options bar or if you tap the right bracket ( ] ) key you can

increase the size of the brush. Now if you throw the Shift key into the mix, if

you hold down the Shift key, right now I have softness 100% so if I

want to decrease this and hold on the Shift key I'm going to tap the left

bracket ( [ ) key holding the shift key as you can see the softness decreases. OK and

if I hold down the Shift key and tap the right bracket ( ] ) key I'm going to increase

the softness back to 100 let's say. All right now the brush can be used inside

Luminar can be used in either Paint mode or in Erase mode. Clicking with the Paint

mode will fill the mask with black which basically hides all the content, clicking

with the Erase tool will fill the mask with white revealing all the content. Now

if you want to quickly switch between Paint and Erase modes what you do is

use the X key on your keyboard to swap between those two modes. OK all right

so let's go ahead and start with this one let's say, the first texture I'm

going to switch to the erase mode 160 might be too large so I'm just going to

tap the left bracket key and I'm going to start painting okay and I'm painting

the areas that I would like to mask out

if you feel like you want to bring some of the saviors back tap on the executor

keyboard and start painting and not erasing okay in this case you bring back

some of the texture and press the X and you get the idea

all right so let's click on the second texture here we're still on the masking

mode go and erase some of these unwanted areas let's say okay I can always go

back to the other one fill some of this and then use the erase again something

to that extent if you want to escape from this depress the the brush icon

back again inside luminar if you want to make a comparison between the original

image and the enhanced version use the comparison buttons on the top of the

toolbar to compare the current state with the original state

so as you can see with very few clicks and the use of great textures building

on different brush adjustments to multiple layers and multiple masks on

our images we created the desired grunge look this concludes the luminaire lesson

and thank you for spending time with me

What It's Like To Be Paid To Taste Food - Duration: 4:51.

- [Narrator] Have you ever wondered

what would it be like to taste food for a living?

Well, that's what these people do.

They're called Sensory Evaluators.

You might call them taste testers,

but they're so much more than that.

- My name is Gail Vance Civille.

I am the founder, owner, and president of Sensory Spectrum,

and I have been in the sensory business for over 50 years.

You do the math.

- [Narrator] Sensory evaluators are trained

for over 100 hours.

More on that later.

They evaluate the texture, flavor,

or fragrance of a product.

From toilet paper to chocolate to cheese, they test it all.

Why do sensory evaluators do what they do?

- Very often our job is to look at prototypes

with some ingredient substituted,

so that we can tell the product developers,

yes you are safe making this

in the place of your current product,

and still having the same sensory properties.

- [Narrator] There's a whole host of reasons

why a product might change.

Like swapping out an ingredient

for something cheaper or healthier.

Take for instance, Kraft Mac & Cheese.

Remember when they changed to all natural ingredients?

No preservatives or artificial dyes,

but the flavor stayed exactly the same.

Boom!

Thank your sensory evaluators.

- The role of sensory evaluation

is to stand next to the product developer and say,

if you have a charge to make a new product,

to make an improved product,

to make an ingredient substitution,

I am here to tell you whether or not you succeeded.

Were you able to maintain the appearance, the flavor,

and the texture of that product.

That is my job.

I stand there and say, you know what,

this is very, very close,

or it's spot on, I think you should move forward with it.

- [Narrator] So how would Gail describe cheese?

- Cheese.

There's either sheep, cow, or goat dairy,

so there's milk and then there's milk fat,

and then there are the fermented notes that are in the milk.

So let's take cheddar cheese, which is a cow milk cheese,

that has milky notes, milk-fat notes, nutty notes,

skunky notes, sometimes fecal,

or as we like to describe with the technical term, poop.

And it actually belongs there,

when you have farmhouse cheddar cheeses

from England or Scotland or Wales,

or some places in Australia,

you will have a fecal note that belongs there.

And then you also will have, potentially,

some fruity notes as well,

and salty, sweet, sour, and bitter,

and then you have all the textures,

which is the hardness and the melt,

and the chewiness or cohesiveness,

and how fast it disappears in your mouth,

and whether or not it leaves a fatty film.

- [Narrator] To evaluate a new or altered product,

they gather a panel.

Each panelist is handed a sample.

In this case, pasta sauce.

They'll taste the sauce

and evaluate its flavor, texture, and smell.

Then they rate each attribute on a scale.

- Bitter?

- [Panelist] Zero.

- Zero. - One.

- Zero. - Two.

- Zero. - One.

- [Narrator] There's an entire book of terms

to describe different foods.

Gail wrote it.

- Brassy.

Minerally flinty, if you will.

Sweet and sour.

Milky notes, nutty notes, skunky notes.

- [Narrator] How do these panelists identify

how salty or sweet something is?

During training,

they're exposed to different levels of flavor.

A two salt is very mildly salty,

while a 20 salt is closer to ocean water, and so on.

Panelists learn these until they're second nature.

- The whole idea of being a great panelist

is to never think about what you're doing.

Just do it, like a hockey goalie.

Just catch the puck.

You're no longer mentally processing.

When I taste, I literally feel like the sample

goes into my mouth,

and then the sample tells me about itself.

- [Narrator] How has this training

affected sensory evaluators in their daily lives?

- I'm not a normal consumer.

I am not normal.

I am very picky.

If I'm in a restaurant where a lot of people

are wearing fragrance, I will not enjoy it.

So it has jaded me or poisoned me or corrupted me

to being really obsessively picky about

what I'm eating, where I'm eating, and when I'm eating.

- [Narrator] For better or worse,

actually tasting what you eat may be a good thing.

Are You #DesertReady? - Duration: 2:57.

Joshua Tree National Park is home to nearly 800,000 acres of wild and scenic

desert. Pristine landscape, granitic rock formations, wildlife and

otherworldly vegetation comprise some of the wonders of this desert park. The

desert draws visitors from all over the world to witness the beauty of this

magical landscape. Looks like we have some right here. Hmm, sunglasses,

fashionable sandals, vintage shirt - looks to me like these visitors are coming

from a music festival. They certainly look festive ready, but are they

desert ready? If you're coming to the desert you want to make sure you're not

only fashionable but staying safe. There are many dangers in the desert including

heat, dehydration and injury from some of our spiny desert flora. This visitor's

sandals are not desert ready. Leave the sandals behind and grab a pair of shoes

instead. Whoa there, you might want to watch your step and stay on trail. Cholla

cactus are all over the ground at the Cholla cactus garden. Ah that's better.

Protect yourself from heat by bringing water and sunscreen. The desert is an

unforgiving place and temperatures can soar. Looks like you already have your

hat and sunglasses, great job! Now that your prepared for desert conditions, let's

find out how to explore responsibly.

Joshua trees are incredibly photogenic but they are very fragile and should not

be climbed on or stepped on either. Remember to dispose of your Grande soy

double shot vegan mocha latte-ccino in the proper waste container.

Thanks for keeping our desert clean. Desert wildflowers sure are pretty

but they shouldn't be picked for your flower crowns. Leave them in nature and

take a photo instead. Good you're exploring responsibly already. Okay

you're equipped for the desert. You know how to explore responsibly, you're almost

there. Uh Oh remember there's no Wi-Fi in the

park so upload those selfies later and connect with nature instead. Stop by the

visitor center and grab your map, brochure and souvenir. Oh and don't

forget your selfie with a park ranger before you go

Baby if this road leads

to one step from lonely

Promise that you'll remember what I'm sayin now

If this love doesn't stay around

To keep you up if it all falls down

If we go

Our separate ways

Promise me that If it all goes wrong and I don't see you

The way I used to see you

Remember that it Started off with

Nice to meet you

If we end this song & I don't treat you

The way I used to treat you

Remember that it Started off with

Nice to meet you

Promise me, promise me that if it all

Promise me, promise me that if it all goes wrong

Promise me, promise me that if it all

Promise me, promise me that

In the end when you're findin ways to hate me

And I make you feel crazy

For ever calling me baby

Promise me you'll remember what I'm sayin now

If this love doesn't stay around

To keep you up if it all falls down

If we go

Our separate ways

Promise me that If it all goes wrong and I don't see you
