If you don't like where you are move, you are not a tree
That was one of my favorite quotes until I met this one person. Let's call her Anna
Hi, my name is Karolina. And this is I am not a tree a platform where we share our teachable expat moments without any sugarcoating
I have told you about Anna in the introduction to the series
She was the main reason why I felt the urge to discuss the topic of haters bullies and toxic people
When I showed you the five categories of people who will try to clip your wings
She was the narcissist now we might ask how is it possible that one person could destroy my perception of such a unique and beautiful
Quote that I also used to name the platform that I'm trying to create in here and I'm very glad that you asked
First of all, I love this quote so much mainly because it's so diverse. It can be read as a direct message
You don't have roots
You can change your location and migrate, but you can also read it in a different way, which is more suitable for my life
Right now I cannot move physically
But I can move on with my life
challenge myself change and grow even though I hate the place where I'm at and this is how the whole story started I am quite
Straightforward with the fact that I don't really like the city where I live now
I'm quite okay with it, but just six months ago if you would ask me
I hated every small bit about being in here and about the city itself in the meantime
I have changed the apartment and found friends and it had made a tremendous difference in the quality of my life in here
But I am still not a fan of being here and if I could I would gladly move to Barcelona or Berlin or Dublin Anna
Like a few other people before her did but not as spectacularly has decided to inform me that I'm absolutely outrageous
I'm a waste of time and space I'm weak ridiculous in her eyes and that if I don't like it, I can move somewhere else
O, really? thank you for your generous advice a**hole
See what Anna and people like her are not getting is how it feels to be geographically not at the place you want to be?
Judging people like me without even trying to find out why is it that you are where you are?
Is not only wrong and hurtful
But it's also absolutely
Mindless and it shows that you are a complete
Ignorant it gets even worse when those people are giving you advice or telling you how they were able to assimilate
When you're quite straightforward about the fact that you can't or even don't want to assimilate or get to know the culture
Sounds ignorant of me? maybe but I am allowed to make that decision
So here's the thing
I moved to France to this specific small town just for six months for the project and
I hated it in here after the first month and I would
happily
Left if it wasn't for my previous boss and for the fact that I promised to help her and I liked her so I didn't
Want to leave her just like that
More or less in the middle of that period I had met my partner fell in love and that's it me moving anywhere without him
Is absolutely not an option. He has a job in here
Therefore we are stuck in here and the details of that decision are nobody else's but mine and his business and yes
I know that no one is forcing me to stay here against my will but it is my will to stay with the person I
Love and he's here. And yes, I still feel entitled to bed grumpy
about the fact that I am here or the things I can't accept in French culture from time to time side not
Somehow when you're complaining about your hometown or your home country while you're there, you're simply being critical
But if you do the same in the country where you're a migrant
Everyone feels entitled to call you ungrateful and tell you to go back home. I find that quite hypocritical
The bottom line is that people might have different reasons in staying in the cities, which they don't really enjoy
It might be their family situation. It might be the job contract. It might be providing better future for their children
And they might still hate it
They might not enjoy the culture that they're in and they might not feel the urge to explore it
But as long as those people are not hurting anyone and they are polite to the locals
None of your business and keep your judgments to yourself. Anna.
No, tell me do you like the place where you currently live? If not, what is your biggest struggle?
And if you like your new home
can you imagine living in a place that you actually don't enjoy?

What If The Headless Horseman Was Real? - Duration: 6:46.
Cold, misty nights.
The kind of night where you aren't sure whether it is your breath that you are seeing
in front of you, or the incessant fog.
The kind of night where you just want to make it home and warm up by the fire but first,
you have to get there.
As you try, you hear the soft clip clopping of hooves in the distance… but they get
louder and louder… and you see a figure…but….it can't be!
Where is its head?!
Hello and welcome back to Life's Biggest Questions, the channel that loves to do a
bit of theorizing on basically anything and everything because we know that no question
is too stupid and that curiosity didn't kill the cat – it only made it wiser.
I am your host, Rebecca Felgate and today I am asking What if The Headless Horseman
was real.
Before we ride on into this video, I want to ask you guys if you have ever seen a ghost!
Let me know in the comments section down below!
So the legend of the Headless Horseman is some kind of unification between American
Folklore and actual history – the way most legends are born!
The headless horseman has become a bit of a horror trope but the story seems to date
back to Dutch settlers along New York State's Hudson River.
It seems that during the Revolutionary War, Hessian Horseman were deployed by the British
army.
During one battle, a fearsome fighter went into battle on his horse, only to have his
head blown off by a cannon.
The man was said to have been quickly buried in the churchyard of Sleepy Hollow because
the Dutch Settlement was most like the homeland.
Ever since, he is said to ride out at night to seek his head or take the head of someone
else to replace the one he lost…or maybe as a final act of revenge.
A further legend has the headless horseman spiriting away a local townsman….
So…what if this spook was real?
Let's get one thing straight – the Headless Horseman is scary…sure… he seems pretty
local.
If he was real, he would likely just haunt the town of Sleepy Hollow, which sits in the
Hudson Valley – just a 46 minute drive from Manhattan.
If he did escape and gallop forth, then maybe there is a small chance of the undead spirit
clip clopping on his ghost horse to NYC, although that would likely take the best part of a
day, or at least an afternoon on horseback…so the city of 8.6 million would likely have
time to prepare.
Buttt lets just for fun imagine the headless horseman going rogue in central park, and
riding through a deserted time square, leaving none but a trail of decapitated heads behind
him.
Maybe residents could all evacuate onto boats on the Hudson River and watch as he rides
the shores.
Ghost horseman cant clop on water, can they?
I don't think so!
Okay, so like the headless horseman is devastated that his head was blown off and is constantly
searching for it or chopping off others heads in revenge.
I get it why he is upset, it's gnarly….
The act of severing a head is still one of the worst ways humans can envisage death – which
is perhaps why legends of the horseman have stuck around for so long.
It's a pretty powerful visual.
I'm thinking….why can't we just make him a new head?
Can we 3D print a lil summin summin for him.
If we knew who he was we could probably do a little head reconstruction?
Would that make him happy or would he be even angrier!
How much danger would we really be in if the horseman was real and would we even know about
it?
For one man and his horse I doubt that he could cause the amount of chaos I alluded
to above…right? in the legend – he searches for his own head, or steals another or spirits
people away.
I guess we would notice how serious he is about this when people started going missing
or headless bodies start being found?
BUT one question – if the headless horseman became such from being peed off about losing
his head, wouldn't killing others in the same way create a whole new breed of angry
headless spirits?
The Headless milkman, the headless baker, the headless school teacher, the headless
tree surgeon.
Would they not stop until everyone was headless…and what then?
If the headless horseman were real and was able to decapitate an unsuspecting human,
that would a mean that ghosts are real and it would mean they could effectively "GET"
you which would be pretty worrying.
This would extend beyond the realms of just the horseman….
Amid the panic at this revelation, I imagine that seers and spiritualists would be able
to make a quick buck selling anti ghost amulets or protection spells.
Goodbye headless horseman, hello capitalism.
I would say we would need to get a ghost hunter to in to negotiate with the horseman….like….what
can we do to quell his bloody rampage….
But as Ed Warren is dead and Lorraine is pretty old, I am wondering who would be up for the
job?
So, before we wrap up this video, I feel like we need to talk a little more about Sleepy
Hollow.
A whole town out there believes in the legend of the headless horseman….
Listen to this….. editors roll clip.
Right.
Well…if that is the case and he is real, he hasn't done too much damage in the past
hundred or so years….so why don't we just leave him to it?
Headless Horsemen deserve peace, too!
Okay, I'm done.
What would you guys do if the headless horseman was real?
Would you run and hide or would you try and negotiate with him?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments section down below….also like.
Before we go I just want to read some comments from the Are White Holes Real Video:
Crossfighter Freddy vs Jason said: What if NASA never existed?
Theo Tomingas Naf said: What if Thomas the Tankengine and his friends were real.
OH MY…how terrifying!
Humans fused with trains.
Living trains.
Getting on a living train….eeergh!
Okay, the comments have taken me to a weird place and it is time to say goodbye!

Jordan Middlebrooks, an Army National Guardsman, has been missing in Cincinnati, Ohio since Friday, November 23.
Multiple witnesses have reported seeing him since he disappeared, authorities said.
Friends said that his car broke down at Taco Bell on Thanksgiving and he may have been walking back to retrieve it when he was last seen on video surveillance.
Here's what you need to know about Middlebrooks and what happened. .
Jordan Middlebrooks Was Seen Walking South on Hamilton at 11 AM on Friday, November 23.
Jordan Middlebrooks, 21, was reported missing after last being seen on Friday, November 23 in the College Hill/Northside area of Cincinnati, walking south on Hamilton around 11 a.
, Local 12 reported.
His friends told Cincinnati.com that he spent part of Thanksgiving at a Taco Bell in Covington, and then went to Mixwell's on Spring Grove Avenue in Northside later on Thanksgiving night.
After the bar closed, he went to a friend's house on Hamilton to sleep.
He stayed there Thanksgiving night, and security footage showed him leaving around 10:47 a.m.
on foot, ABC News reported.
If you have any information about Middlebrooks, please call Columbus Police at 614-645-4545.
His Car & Cell Phone Were Found at Taco Bell in Covington, After His Car Had Died There on Thanksgiving.
Middlebrooks' car was later found on Sunday, November 25 at the Taco Bell on W.
Fourth Street in Covington, Local 12 reported.
His cell phone was also found in his car.
According to Texas Equusearch, Middlebrooks left his car at Taco Bell on Thanksgiving, and he may have been walking back to his car on Friday when he disappeared.
A post he made online indicated that his car had died in the Taco Bell parking lot because he accidentally left the lights on, and he couldn't afford to get someone to jump it.
Middlebrooks is 5'9″ and weighs 120 pounds.
He was last seen dressed in black and wearing glasses, WCPO reported.
Some Witnesses Have Said They Saw Him in College Hill, Northside, & Clifton, & Authorities Think There's a Chance He May Not Want To Be Found.
Authorities said that Middlebrooks has been spotted in College Hill, Northside, and Clifton since disappearing, Local 12 reported.
They believe that he may not want to be found.
Dave Rader of Texas Equusearch told Local 12: "With the other cases, we mostly are looking for a body.
In this case, we're not looking for a body, we are looking for an individual that may not want to be found.".
It's not clear what the sightings entailed, who saw him, or why authorities think he may not want to be found.
Facebook posts from friends say that someone may have seen him at a cafe in Clifton, along with multiple other places.
Another Facebook poster shared that Facebook's "Nearby Friends" feature indicated that Middlebrooks was in Covington on Sunday.
Authorities have not yet released details about the sightings or why they are viewed as credible.
We will update this story if that information becomes available.
Rader said that Middlebrooks' mother, Brandy, met with him in Cincinnati on Tuesday and said she's not mad or angry at Middlebrooks, she just wants to see him again.
"They are just genuinely concerned about his well-being and make sure he's OK," Rader said.
Middlebrooks Is a Specialist in the Army National Guard & Friends Describe Him as Caring & Soft-Spoken.
Friends told Cincinnati.com that Middlebrooks is a specialist in the Army National Guard.
According to Middlebrooks' Facebook page, he joined the Ohio Army National Guard two years ago and is currently a computer/detections systems repairer.
The Ohio National Guard posted that he is an M-Day Soldier with the 212th Support Maintenance Company.
Friends describe him as "soft-spoken, sweet soul." Naj Jabari, a friend of Middlebrook's, told WCPO that they met about eight months earlier at Mixwell's, where they would often spend Thursday nights dancing.
She said he often came to Mixwell's with his camera, and always made people feel cared for.
Other friends commented on Facebook about what a kind and caring person Middlebrooks is.
One friend wrote online, "Jordan does so much without being asked." Everyone else agreed that he is a kind person, and they just want to see him again.
His Friends Are Asking for Help.
If You Have Any Information, Please Contact the Columbus Police Right Away.
One of Middlebrooks' friends, Matthew Risher, posted on Facebook on November 28 and noted that it has been tough to comb through the accuracy of all the information they are getting.
"Right now, it is very hard to give any accurate updates around the search and investigation.
One challenge that comes with widespread awareness is a sudden influx of information.
Some of this information may have varying degrees of accuracy; some of it otherwise.
This makes it challenging to keep efforts organized, but it's still immeasurably better than having little to no information, as when the investigation first started.".
He asked anyone who wants to help to continue sharing information about Middlebrooks in order to spread awareness.
If you think you have seen him, contact your local police and the Columbus, Ohio police.
"Because Jordan lives in Columbus, that department is considered as running point on the operation.
Reporting to the Cincinnati or Covington police, while especially helpful if you think you have spotted him, simply won't move the information along as quickly as it would reporting it to the Columbus authorities as well.".
If you have any information about Middlebrooks, please call Columbus Police at 614-645-4545.

Best Noise-Cancelling Headphones for Flying - Duration: 5:22.
AudioZack here! I'm about to bar it a 10-hour flight and I want to find out
which noise cancelling headphones are the best for flying.
I'm about to fly over the Atlantic, so I will be testing some noise-cancelling headphones.
The criteria are:
How well do they cancel noise?
Do they sound good?
Will the battery last the length of the flight?
And of course, are they comfortable?
you can probably hear the massive jet engines in front of me, so let's begin with noise-cancellation.
We'll be testing this by taking this little microphone and putting it inside my headphones.
These Sony headphones let you cycle between three different settings.
We have regular, noise-cancellation, and
ambient sound for when you want to listen to something, but you don't know what to listen to.
so here we go! Let's get rid of those jet engines!
That helped a bit! Let's try ambient.
I'm gonna cycle through...
I'm not a big fan of the ambient.
One other thing I like about these Sonys is:
I can immediately get out of the noise cancellation.
if the flight attendant asks me a question or if I'd like to pay attention to anyone else.
These monoprice headphones, on the other hand, just have a nice little switch.
That was immediate! It was not quite as noise-cancelly as the other models, but for the price it does the trick.
Up next, we've got Beats by Dre.
This model is a little older. I bought it a few years ago, and we'll seee if the noise cancelling technology is still all there.
I was hoping it would beat those jet engines into submission but
these things beat no more.
...and that's when the flight attendants brought out lunch one thing led to
another; I got distracted and now I'm back in the comfort of my own home.
I guess time flies when you're having fun, right?
Okay. Speaking of comfort, which headphones were the best? Which were
the most comfortable? Let's start with the Sony's. They're definitely heavier than
the other two but you don't really mind so much. It feels like you're wearing
headphones, but it's got this nice bit of cushioning at the top. I'm gonna move in
a little closer. It's got that nice cushioning at the top; nice and squishy
so you barely even know you have it. Well, you do know you have it on but you're wearing
noise canceling headphones. What do you expect?
Monoprice headphones are
definitely the lightest of the bunch. I think they're about, I want to say two
ounces less than the Sony's. They feel like you've got these nice little
pillows on your ears. There's the cushion. I could take a nap right now!
Now the Beats by Dre. They feel a little clunky they're... Weight wise they're
somewhere in between... It might just be because I'm using an older model but
like, the comfort justice isn't where the other two are. I could definitely listen
to an album with these, but a ten-hour flight is asking a little much.
To me the clear winner in the comfort category is Monoprice, and I am as
surprised as you are! And that brings us to battery life. Now I
can't really compare that too well because all three headphones lasted the
entire flight. Granted I wasn't playing music through them, and that may have
made a difference, but they worked. What else is there to say? And if I may
have a drumroll!
Where's the drummer when you need them? It goes the Sony!
They're just an all-around good pair of headphones. They outperformed my expectations, and I
ended up wearing those for most of the flight because I was watching movies.
they were comfortable enough that I fell asleep in them, and they lasted the
entire flight. What more could you want?
For your next flight I recommend bringing noise cancelling headphones regardless of the
brand. You'll hear less of the jet engines, fewer crying babies, and you'll
arrive at your destination that much more comfortable or entertained or
whatever you want to get out of your flight. I placed links to these three in the
description below, and I wish you safe travels.

10 MTN Bike and Outdoor Products You May or May Not Need - Duration: 10:34.
A lot of you have asked for an update on my injury.
So here it is quick.
My clavicle is still broken but it has healed enough for me to start physical therapy.
So I'm gonna take my sling off, make this video, and try not to overdo it.
With that, on to the matter at hand.
Here we have ten mountain bike and outdoor products that I've spent some time with
over the last few months.
In this video, I'm going to give you my thoughts on them starting with this thing.
When you're traveling to remote places to go mountain biking, having the option of car
camping is always good.
This inflatable mattress turns your entire back seat into a bed, even filling in the
area your feet normally go.
You can also deflate one of the chambers and use it like a normal sleeping pad.
This was $30 on Amazon and it's worth at least that.
It comes with an electric pump, spare vinyl patches, and even a cushion that keeps the
center console from jabbing into your abdomen.
These inflatable pillows are terribly uncomfortable, but work great as cinderblocks for my taller
bench seat.
This car camping solution isn't going to work if you're really tall, and results
may vary depending on the exact shape of your back seat.
But one thing's for sure, it beats just sleeping on the seat itself.
It gives you way more space and a flatter platform.
While this does provide a workable solution for boondocking, a tent may be a better option
if you have a spot to pitch one.
In a previous video I demonstrated this Fidlock water bottle, which snaps into place with
magnets and stays there with mechanical latches.
I love it.
But they also make this smaller bottle, and this uni base which can be attached anywhere.
Maybe you want to fill your larger bottle with plain water, and this smaller one with
electrolytes on longer rides.
These are sold separately, but I think they work well together for carrying a little bit
of extra hydration.
My only complaint is the $25 price tag on the base.
Sure it's well made, but that's pretty steep.
In any case I have been using these together and it's a surprisingly secure combination.
Next, some stuff from KMC starting with these DLC bike chains.
These are super strong, super lightweight and not cheap—$60 - $80.
That's a tough sell when good chains can be had for $25, so I can't personally recommend
these to the budget conscious consumer.
KMC claims that they shift particularly well but to me a brand new chain always feels good.
What I will say is that the look and feel of the DLC chain is absolutely phenomenal..
But objectively, the only thing I can say is that it's lightweight.
So if you're looking to add some style points to your bike, trying to pinch grams, or just
have exquisite taste in chains, go with the DLC.
Otherwise, buy a decent chain, replace it often, and you'll be just fine.
Also from KMC, are the missing link levers.
I like these.
These tire levers are a great addition not only to your bag, but to your home shop because
they double as master link pliers.
Considering they cost the same as normal master link pliers I think they're a good buy,
and a good gift for literally any mountain biker.
After you're done using them on your chain they can also be used as forks.
These cold weather handup gloves seem to be touch screen friendly but are hit or miss
when it comes to certain gestures.
I'm sure you've seen this move when it's time to bust out trailforks.
These glove tacts are designed to improve accuracy and response when using a touch screen
with your gloves on.
I put them on my pointer and thumb, and did see a difference.
The response was way better and the accuracy was a little better.
With clean gloves and a little heat, they adhered surprisingly well to the fabric—much
better than you would think.
But I would be concerned how they'd hold up over the course of a season.
If this is a recurring issue for you, Glove tacts or something like them could be the
answer.
Otherwise, a bare finger is totally free.
Storing tools and supplies in and on your bike can help you stay prepared.
This product helps make use of the space in your steerer tube.
It's called the fork cork, and it comes in a close second for the best named product
I've ever reviewed.
The fork cork is really simple, it just expands as you tighten it to secure an aluminum cap
to the bottom of your steerer.
You can use it to stash a tubeless patch kit, tire inflator, or some emergency cash, provided
you find a way to keep it from rattling around.
The fork cork is $30, which is a lot more than an actual cork, but it's well made
and does what it says.
In many videos you've seen me use my Evoc flight bag to pack and fly with my bike.
It's starting to show signs of wear.
Some TSA inspector must have really struggled to get my wheel back in because they put the
rotor through the fabric, and tore the zipper right off.
So when Scicon, sent me this flight bag, I was hoping it would be a more robust alternative
to Evoc.
It is robust, and it does a great job of protecting your bike, but it's just not for me.
I'll try to give you the good and the bad.
The Scicon bag features casters that roll in every direction.
Much easier than an evoc bag considering you'll also have your other luggage to worry about.
When you arrive at your destination you open the bag up on both sides.
There, your bike is presented to you on a sort of work stand where you can reinstall
the pedals, derailleur, and handlebars.
All your tools and gear are in these pouches that sit under the frame, and your derailleur
is protected in this pouch suspended from the chainstay.
Once you've assembled your bike, you roll the bag up and store it in this longer bag
until the end of your trip.
Pretty well thought out actually.
Except that all packed up this bag stands a full foot taller than an Evoc bag.
Evoc bags just clear the headliner of SUVs standing straight up, and in compact cars
they can be pushed between the seats.
The scicon bag with my size small bike in it took a lot of finagling to get into my
wife's honda civic, and considering it won't clear the headliner of an SUV, it would need
to be laid down with your other luggage on top of it.
Not ideal, especially if you're with a friend.
Also the bag has some parts which can get lost, and rest assured you'll be in a rush
every time you need them.
Given the great build quality of Scicon bags I would be inclined to overlook these flaws,
but they cost more than some bikes.
Even with the large discounts we're seeing from some sellers, Scicon a ways to go before
they beat out Evoc in terms of value.
I do appreciate these custom storage bags though and like the clever packing process.
When mountain biking with a GoPro, the chest is one of the more preferable angles, except
that it's quite uncomfortable.
The "chesty" as GoPro names it, is an oddly shaped solid piece of plastic that presses
against your sternum and makes you sweaty.
The latest iteration of the chesty does not resemble this in the least.
It's symmetrical, fully padded, ventilated, and well engineered.
The proprietary latch is also nice and low profile.
It's $35, which for a GoPro accessory seems oddly ethical, so I give the newest generation
chesty high marks all around.
This next product is a hand pump which is sort of a floor pump.
It's made by Pro Bike Tool and is titled Mini Floor Bike Pump - Super Fast Tire Inflation
- Secure Presta and Schrader Valve Connection - High Pressure Bicycle Pump with Stabilizing
Foot Peg for Road & Mountain Bikes.
We'll just call it the mini floor pump.
This thing is awesome!
The build seems nice all around, it works for presta and shraeder, and in terms of size
it's just a little longer than my Oneup and Crankbrothers pumps.
The mini floor pump comes with a mount for your bike but with the external tube and all
I'd say just leave it in your bag.
For $30 it's a good value and is much easier than a typical hand pump.
Finally, the Magura Vyron 150mm wireless dropper post.
This is an older model with serious miles on it.
Still it has become my favorite dropper post, so much so that I swap it between my bikes.
The post itself charges with Micro USB, which needs to be done maybe once per month.
From there, you just pop it in the bike and attach this button to your handlebars.
When you press the button, it engages the post for a full second.
During that second you can let it pop up, push it down, or stop it anywhere in between.
To me, the main advantage of a wireless dropper post is the reduction of cockpit clutter,
but the Vyron is also easier to install, compatible with any bike, and great for bikes with left
shift levers.
If you're riding park for the day you can also remove the button entirely and just leave
the seat down.
A new Vyron will cost you almost $500, so it's not gonna be for everyone, but spending
money in the name of clutter reduction is nothing new.
I hope you found some of these reviews useful, or at the very least entertaining.
If you want to know where to get any of these products I've provided links in the description.
Thanks for watching, thanks for being patient while I'm off my bike, and thanks for riding
with me today, I'll see you next time.

Christmas gifts for dogs that they will not only love but that will also improve
their physical or mental health now I've split them into five categories
so you're certain to find the best present for your pampered pooch what
more could you ask for hi I'm dr. Alex from our pets health helping you and
your pet to live a healthier happier life so if that's something you're
interested in make sure you hit that subscribe button down below
so my first category is pet tech gifts we all love a new gadget or at least I
know I do but it's all too easy to waste money on
something that goes in a drawer after or weeks use it never gets recharged and it
never sees the light of day again get something instead that you're not only
used but will also help your dog to stay fit and healthy and my first item is a
Fitz Park activity tracker so there's no need for your dog to miss out on the
latest tech gadgets out there and how about something that not only tracks
your dog's activity levels but can also provide an early warning system to alert
you to the fact that your dog might be becoming unwell sounds too good to be
true well this is exactly what the fit bark two offers think of it like a
Fitbit activity tracker for dogs so the fit bark too comes in a small discreet
package it's got a super cool bone design and lots of kind of quick
changing colors that just get attached to the collar it's super I'm super
discreet your dog won't know it's there and you know they look great
so once attached to your dog's collar like I say they're not even going to
know it's there and that's really when the magic begins so the fit bark two
tracks how active and how much exercise your dog has had and it then compares it
to their normal scores as well as with other similar dogs it also lets you know
how well they are sleeping and when this is combined with activity levels you can
get some incredibly useful health indicators so activity levels you know
are they starting to fall as sleep becoming disturbed well they could be
sick you can track the improvement in your dog's activity levels as an
indicator that their arthritis treatment that used
it is actually working it's actually improving their comfort and quality of
life as your itchy dog sleep quality started to drop well they might be
having a flare-up of their allergy and they might be up to scratching all night
and you're just not aware of that so as well as fun you know this is one
Christmas gift that's guaranteed to help your dog stay fit and also stay as
healthy as possible so next up we've got the whistle GPS monitor so if you live
in the USA and you want to step things up a level then the whistle three might
be just what you're looking for as well as being an activity tracker is also a
GPS monitor and this allows you to know exactly where your dog is and track
their every movement you can even set up safe spaces online and what happens is
if your dog goes out of these safe spaces you get alerted straight away so
if your dog you know breaks out of the yard or you know heaven forbid if they
get taken then you're going to get alerted straight away now the downsides
to the whistle or that you know quite understandably for a GPS tracking
service a subscription plan is needed and all that tech means that the unit's
larger it's less discreet and not as attractive as the fit bark too but still
if GPS tracking is what you want then the whistle too is whistle three sorry
is exactly what your dog needs this Christmas ok mental stimulation is next
he ever thought how boring a dog's life can be sitting waiting for you to come
home or waiting for you to stop and play with them or grab the lead and take them
out for that walk that you've been promising them for a week well a lack of
stimulation can cause a lot of behavioral problems as well as have the
potential to worse and diseases like dementia in older dogs so keep your dog
stimulated with these food puzzle gifts and their happiness will definitely be
improved and first up I've got a snuffle mat so a snuffle mat is a great way to
make your dog actually work for their food stretch outs stretches out
mealtimes it reduces overeating and the concept is really simple you just hide
their biscuits in the mat and your dog then has to work to rummage to snuffle
their way through into every nook and cranny to get their reward you can think
of this as an indoor version of simply just throwing your dog's food out all
over the lawn for them to then look for you know it engages their nose engages
their brain it provides mental stimulation and far more enjoyment of
mealtimes you know compared to a typical dog who just vacuums up their dinner in
two and a half seconds flat so snuffle mats come in lots of
different varieties from simple wool versions to more complex creations where
you can actually vary what your dog has to do to get their food you'll still
need to supervise mealtimes especially in the early days to make sure that your
dog doesn't actually start eating their mat and you're also going to need to put
it through the washing machine every now and then just to keep it clean and keep
it hygienic but nonetheless a stuff all that could make the perfect Christmas
gift for your dog this Christmas do you feed your dog a wet food rather than a
dry food but like the idea of stuff or mats well don't worry a licky mat is the
perfect alternative so these rubber mats they're designed to have wet food or a
treat added bit like peanut butter and the ridges and the fingers then make it
a challenge for your dog to eat whatever it is that you've spread over their
licky pad while they're you know not looking for it and they don't have to
look for it lists have to work hard to get their tongue into every crevice and
work out the best way to do that and a liquid mat is bound to be their sole
point of focus for quite some time again it's a perfect way to spread out
mealtimes but it's also a great distraction for an anxious dog through
something like fireworks or thunderstorms okay so next up we have
the humble Kong and no dog Christmas gift guide won't be complete without two
Kong so these are virtually indestructible rubber toys they're
perfect for stuffing with treats and they provide hours of entertainment for
your dog if they suffer from separation anxiety fear of fireworks again or if
they're just left to their own devices for hours on end then you simply must
get your dog a calm while some people would be happy to leave their dog on the
supervise with a snuffle mat or a licky pad you know like I said before I'd
always worry about the potential for them to eat parts of that which could
then have you know potentially serious complications with Kong so if you get
the right size and the right strength there's absolutely tiny chance of your
dog destroying them they're really robust so they're definitely safe to
leave with your dog you know when they're not supervised so get one it's
that simple now my last mental stimulation toy is just a treat ball so
these are hollow balls they can be filled with kibble
then the hole means that when the ball is rolled the biscuits slowly fall out
it's important to get the right size for your dog too small and they end up may
end up just chewing and destroying the ball itself to large and they might get
their jaw stuck in the dispensing hole and certainly on reviews I've seen this
is a real a main problem funkin of our tiny toy breed dogs you know every dog
enjoys different challenges and it might be that a treat ball is the challenge
that your dog will enjoy the most that's Christmas okay so my next category is be
safe be seen so Christmas means winter and winter means dark evenings this
though is no excuse for you not to take your dog out to exercise and actually
you're fit buck might be telling you off if you don't head out but it's vital
that your dog is visible so that you can see them you can see where they are
other people can see your dog and it makes it much less likely that they
could get hit by a car or knocked over by a bike you know should they wander
off although clearly a good recall is a must for any awfully dog especially when
it's dark and my first item is just a reflective vest so a simple reflective
vest it might not be the most fashionable accessory but it's certainly
one of the best and cheapest ways to make sure that your dog won't be missed
they're lightweight they come in a range of sizes they're super visible to any
traffic but if you're in a dark field by yourself then you still won't be able to
keep track of your dog because it needs that light reflecting off it to be to be
visible so a step up then is a vest with built in flashing lights turn them on
and your dog is gonna be lit up like a Christmas tree there's gonna be no
missing them if you don't like the idea of built-in lights or want something a
bit more robust and heavy-duty then you could instead choose a
reflective harness so there are some great ones out there I really like the
high quality ones from Julia's canine as well as reflective detailing and trim
they also have a built in torch holder and they of course come in a range of
colors and that really are built to last a lifetime
so if you combine your Julia's canine power harness with a light top collar
then again visibility won't be a problem there is of course an even simpler
option than a light top collar and that's to get a clip-on collar light
they're cheap they're cheerful they do a good job but they are only visible from
the front really they're definitely better than nothing but if you're going
to use a clip-on collar light then you definitely want to combine that with
something else to make sure that your dog is definitely visible on the dark
nights around Christmas so using a combination as with many things
it's definitely the best option there okay so my next category is a touch of
luxury now there's nothing wrong with the little indulgence of luxury over
Christmas especially if it improves your dog's quality of life and first up I've
got a memory foam bed so what's more luxurious than a bed that contours to
your body well the cold weather can mean that your senior dog becomes more stiff
than normal they might be struggling with arthritis now of course it's vital
to start a proper treatment program but one part of this can be buying them a
soft padded bed and even better than that is to buy a memory foam bed this
wraps around sore joints it removes pressure points and helps ease any aches
and pains if you've got a young dog or one who doesn't suffer from stiffness
you know and they're not in pain well they still deserve a comfortable bed
don't they you'll also want to make sure you get a waterproof cover to make sure
that they stay clean and dry and they really will last a lifetime if you look
if you look after them okay next up we've got a winter jacket so depending
on where you live Christmas again means winter and winter means freezing or wet
or both so what your dog there needs is a toasty warm jacket and this is
especially important if your dog you know it's not a quick with their own
winter coat so you know an extreme example would be a whippet got no body
fat and they've got really short hair or if they're just small and so more likely
to get wet through and or succumb to the cold so for mild weather you might be
able to get away with something that just covers their their trunk their
torso and chest but when temperatures really drop you want to get something
that also covers their neck so this is really important as a lots of big blood
vessels they run very close to the skin there and without insulation they can
result in you know a lot of heat loss when it's really cold or when it's wet
okay my last category is charity so Christmas is all about giving and maybe
your dog has everything they could possibly want you've got every accessory
Under the Sun maybe they've even stopped believing in Santa
maybe they'd be delighted with nothing more than a tasty pack of dental chews
but rather than splurge then on something that won't get used or you
don't really need consider instead making a donation to charity so you
could give you a lote local shelter a ring to see if there's anything that
they're you know they're desperate for instead you might want to pick a charity
that's close to your heart and working towards a goal that you really feel
passionate out you know there are so many out there
but one that stands out for me is a tractor called Street vet so this is a
team of dedicated veterinarians who volunteer their time to help care for
the pets of the homeless and you know they've got an Amazon wishlist they
accept donations you know as do many charities so the bond between homeless
people in their pets it's really profound and it may actually be that
their dog is the only thing keeping them going and that's where you know Street
vet does fantastic work to keep the the pets of homeless people you know healthy
and safe as possible and entertain you'll see from their their wish list
you know they do ask for toys and things like that because the mental health of
our dogs on the street are just as important as you know our pet dogs and
just as important as the homeless people themselves so you know that's the
charity suggestion but you know wherever you are and whatever charities close to
you I'm sure they would be more than delighted to receive whatever donation
you can give okay so I hope my Christmas gift for dog guide gives you a few ideas
of something that you can get your dog something that you know they'll enjoy
there like that will entertain them but will also be useful and also have
long-term benefits for their health and their well-being or will help keep them
safe and if you've got any favorite gifts that your dog or you know favorite
toys that your dog likes you know please leave me a comment down below and I'd
love to to hear from them and read from them and you know give give people other
ideas of what they could give their dog but until next time I'm dr. alex from
our pets health because they're family

Review Rollersnakes/ Heathen complete - Duration: 3:27.
Hi guys Barns here
and today I want to give you my honest opinion about this board
I ordered it from Rollersnakes.
Is a complete board..
The board itself is a British brand is a happy medium is 8.25" wide
and 31 inches long.
So it's not the smallest one but it's good for skating bowls,
ramps, street as well.
The wheels is the same brand is 52 mm,
bearings no name..
trucks no name, however I think it's gonna be a fun skate.
It feels promising..
but I will let you know more after I'm back.
You're gonna find the description down below
and hopefully... you know you can get a new board just for £50
or I think there is even now sales for probably £40
and you are done for Christmas.
The board pops well. Is a bit strange those shape the nose I mean the tail is a
way bigger than the nose. So you have to get used to it or what I'm gonna do
I'm just gonna turn it around so the tail gonna be smaller and a little bit bigger nose.
I like that way but let's do a couple very easy tricks maybe let's try a flip.
Let's see.
So overall the flip is okay is a good board.
Is very light so it takes some time to get used to it.
So as a beginner, when you start is it nice one
just try out.
The trucks are very very light, it turns ok.
Will see how long it will last. I will give you an update after a month.
Now is just a quick
review is okay for skating for beginners it turns well.
The board, the shape you just have to get use to it.
It's very light compare to my other trucks and board, but yeah over all so good.

ASR Monthly Summary - November 2018 - Duration: 2:15.
Well, hello everyone. It's already the end
of November. Can you believe that classes will be wrapping up shortly, and we're headed
into the busy season of December? I just wanted to let you know that Bob McMaster will
will be acting provost for the first three months of the new calendar year, has asked
Jennifer Reckner, his chief of staff, and I, to help coordinate his unit, Office of
Undergraduate Education, while he fills in for Karen. So I want to thank all of you ahead of
time for stepping up and keeping ASR running while I go ahead and help with the coordination.
One thing I want to bring up now is, I've heard some people have some questions regarding
"What is a rock?" when we talked about our Vision Organizer. And really, a rock comes from
an analogy that a philosophy professor shared with a classroom. And what he said is,
rocks are things that will keep you focused over the next few months. So if you take your
rocks, and let's pretend this is a jar, and you put your rocks in here━I only have four real
rocks, let's say you have seven rocks━so that really fills up your jar for the next quarter,
and this is where you need to focus, on these rocks, because these are your bigger issues.
Now you could also then fill in with your pebbles, to keep filling up, but those you can
procrastinate a little bit, because they aren't quite as important as removing the rocks.
Also then, you can also fill up with sand, and then your life I guess is complete, in a way.
But just think of that as the rock is the bigger focus that you want to focus on to help
with the organization and moving ahead. So hopefully that helps a little bit.
If you have additional questions, feel free to reach out to me. Thank you.

Micah Tice Missing: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com
Micah Tice, an Air Force Academy cadet candidate, has been missing in Colorado since possibly going hiking on Sunday, November 24.
He was last heard from when he called his parents that Friday night.
Officials are worried that he may have gone hiking in dangerous conditions.
However, his mother has said that he was familiar with the trail and had packed thousands of dollars' worth of survival equipment so he could live in very dangerous conditions if necessary.
Here is what you need to know about Tice and what we know so far about what happened.
Tice Was Last Seen on Thanksgiving, & He Was Last Heard From When He Called His Parents on Friday Night, November 23.
Micah Tice, 20, was last seen on Thanksgiving night, CBS Denver reported.
He told his sponsor family that he was going to work on homework that night and perhaps take a hike.
(The Cadet Sponsor Program.
is a home-away-from-home for cadets, where Academy supporters provide mentoring and friendship to cadets.
On Friday around 9 p.m., he called his parents in Nevada and that's the last time anyone has heard from him, KKTV reported.
He had planned to do homework and possibly go for a hike on Saturday.
The National Park Service said there was a lot of snow on Saturday, cold temperatures, and extremely high winds.
Janice Tice, Micah's mother, told News 3LV that she knew something was wrong when the Air Force Academy called and said he didn't show up to the base when he was supposed to.
"He would be there on the dot, or well before.".
Tice is 5'11" and has dark hair and brown eyes.
He was hiking alone.
If you have any information on Tice or if you were in the Longs Peak area since Saturday, November 24, please call the Rocky Mountain National Park at 970-586-1204.
His Phone Was Tracked to Woodman & I-25, & His Car Was Found at Longs Peak Trailhead.
Tice's phone signal was last received on Saturday, tracked to Woodman Avenue and Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs, CBS Denver reported.
On Monday afternoon, his car was found at the Longs Peak Trailhead.
It's not known where he planned to hike.
Search crews have been searching the Longs Peak area, CBS Denver reported, but strong winds forced them to keep their search below 12,000 feet on Wednesday.
Air operations were also grounded because of the winds.
They've been searching the Longs Peak Trail, East Longs Peak Trail, Granite pass, and Jim's Grove areas, along with Estes Cone, the Boulder Brook Trail, the Storm Pass area, and the Roaring Fork Drainage area.
Tice's mother, Janice, told KRDO that she hopes search and rescue teams will be able to use a helicopter with FLIR technology that detects heat.
Tice Had Hiked This Trail Before & Had All the Equipment Necessary for Cold Weather Survival, Including a Life Straw & a Shelter That Works Beneath Snow.
Tice's mother, Janice, posted on Facebook that her son was familiar with this route.
She said he had hiked this trail with several groups before, and he purposefully wanted to go while it was snowing.
She said he researched the hike and had purchased thousands of dollars' worth of equipment for survival, including a Life Straw to be able to drink the snow.
He also had a shelter for surviving underneath snow.
Here is what she wrote:.
"I just got this information from my son Joshua who talk to Micah back in July.
This is amazing information. Micah has all the tools necessary to survive and he researched this hike before attempting alone he had let me know about this when I was in Colorado for school.
He has hiked this trail with several groups before and he wanted to go on the hike while it was snowing because he said it is unlike anything that you can see in a picture.
He purchased several thousands of dollars worth of equipment and has brought many MRE's he has a life straw to drink from anything including snow.
He has the tools to make a fire in snow and he has medical supplies for self administered first aid.
He researched the weather in advance and chose to go before the weather drops below zero.
he also has a shelter thing that can go underneath snow.
He will survive and we will find him.
Continue to pray and share.".
Longs Peak Is One of the Most Dangerous Peaks in Rocky Mountain National Park, & Another Student Is Still Missing There from Early October.
Longs Peak is the Rocky Mountain National Park's only fourteener, making it one of the most popular but also one of the most dangerous peaks in the park, the Coloradoan reported.
The standard Keyhole route on Longs can include more than 15 miles of hiking and difficult terrain, Roots Rated shared.
The outing takes about 10 to 15 hours.
Best practices recommend getting to the Keyhole portion of the hike around 2 to 3 a.m., accounting for a 12-hour round trip.
A computer science student from New Jersey who was hiking Longs Peak in early October, Ryan Albert, is still missing, the Coloradoan reported.
After searching for Albert for 28 days, crews had to suspend their efforts on November 2 until the summer.
In the late summer, Jens "Jay" Yambert, 60, died after taking a 200-foot fall at nearly 13,000 feet on Longs Peak.
