Waching daily Nov 28 2017

Good morning bitches it is currently six o'clock in the morning, and I am awake because

If you follow my main channel do you know that I have an appointment this morning at?

8:10 where I'm going to basically will have a colonoscopy

And I called you like a male pap smear because that's how it was described to me if you hear screaming in the background

it's because I'm playing Friday the 13th on Xbox ad me if you have Xbox anaconda buttons, but

Just got a call that

my

Appointments not gonna happen today. It has to be rescheduled so

That's not good news at all like laying your mother because I

Really want to get it done

And I want to get it out of the way because I'm one of those people that really

worries and really like always thinks the worst, and that's just that's just how I am do you like my

Christmas lights, so I guess I'm I try to vlog all day today. If I don't sleep the whole day away

I'm gonna give the vlogging a shot because I'm not that good at it, and I want to

Get better at it before I do

Literally today has been so uneventful

I did exactly what I said, I was gonna do I slept all day on accident woke up at like 4:00 p.m.

Played some xbox and then I was like tonight's the Kardashian Christmas

Special which they always air so early I'd like this year. It's so much earlier than before maybe just because we had more

than normal Thursdays in

November, but I have been sitting here filling out all my Christmas cards

This is the first batch that is going to go out. I'm gonna mail these tomorrow

So if you want one definitely send me an email my email is in the description below

But I have a predicament you guys

and this is pretty much where I'm gonna in the video cuz I'm gonna show you guys some stuff, but

This broom is atrocious right now because I literally have all boxes out of my closets

and I am trying to figure out where to put all of my Christmas decorations, so I have two of my

Christmas trees out which is this one right here as you can see?

Also, I have

The one over here that is my grandma's and here's my main Christmas tree, but I'm not

Decorating it yeah that makes sense, so here's no.1 - my grandma made which is going to be

on

Full display for the Christmas party that's coming up, but I have one right here in a box as well

And I can't decide if I want to put it

In my bedroom, or if I want to put it just basically like somewhere else in the house, so

Weird once you put this down like this so I can carry this back

We're gonna figure out I can't I have my Christmas tree actually decorated so that I could show you guy is literally

Because I got a real tree this year and

It is

like seriously I fought for the trick this is such a bad angle, but you know what Yolo, so

Basically I can move my hey bitches sign right here at this angle

and

Just put it over here on the side table

So I think that's what I'm gonna do and I'm gonna show you guys a and let me know

down below if you guys think it looks good if it looks bad if you think it's gonna break the table because there's a glass

on top of the table

I'm literally

Resting my phone up on the top of my bed on top of my Christmas lights and on this Santa pillow that I got from

Target

But something that I also had in that box was this fanny pack cuz I hosted an ugly Christmas sweater party a few years ago

And I think the sustainer pack is pretty badass. I just glued everything on to it. I think the fanny pack is originally from

tipsy elves or whatever their brand is I'm not certain but I

D guy wide the fuck out of it, so

and I have not checked this tree yet at all here are the

Little bulbs that go away if you have a Christmas tree that is ceramic let me know down below

And if it's a vintage definitely no because how do you have that and how do you keep that together because?

sometimes it's fucking a pain in the ass to get all of these things in to

Where they need to be so here's the base of it I

Really like this place. This is the one that is musical

So I think that definitely is an added bonus to it

I'm really worried that it's going to fall through

This table right now. Let me show you guys at the table that is going on - so this is glass and

I'm just a little

But we're gonna give this a good go look and how I pack these away. Well look I felt into the diva

I packed them in so much bubble wrap because I'm really so fucking paranoid that they are going to break is not

I actually got an eBay and people already include their shit onto it is their fucking

Foam in there that you can see like some of the bulbs are on it. Actually okay, so I did I

Did get the tree set up, and this one to me is like more vintage looking because of the lighting scheme

and how it looks like the colors are a little bit more dull the only thing that I don't like about this tree is the

fact that some of these little

Light things that go on it or a bird

I don't really care for the word, and I hate that they're glued and because it's just a fucking pain in the ass

But here is what the tree looks like

Let me know if you guys love it or hate it and again if you guys have your own server Christmas tree definitely

Let me know how you guys keep them and contain them cuz I have three of them, and one of them is my grandma's so

You guys oh, and by the way, this is the pillow that I was talking about

That I got Target for like $10. I think he's so fucking cute

So cute and also I got this adorable

Blanket right here from Kirkland's for

$10 so that's it for this vlog video you guys it's totally random

This is not how like the format of my vlogs are gonna be for vlogmas

I'm still deciding how I want to do that, but I love you guys, and I'll see you guys soon

Mukbang Monday ft. My Mom & Aunt | Episode 1 - Duration: 20:30.

Hey what's up you guys! Welcome back to my channel

and welcome to my first episode of mukbang monday.

Today I have a very special guest! I have my mom and my aunt.

Hello! I'm Sophie's mom. Hi~~

Hello! I'm Sophie's aunt, I came from Korea!

Today we'll be making galbi bone soup

and I'm gonna be making it with my mom and my aunt because they're both really great cooks

and I think it's just the perfect way to start off mukbang mondays

so let's get the cookinn!

so first we'll have our fresh veggies

there's some green onions, regular onions, radish

squash, mushrooms, carrots

oh and under here there's some peppers

and then over here we have some dried shrimp

dried up anchovies. It looks kind of scary but it's very common in Korean dishes.

and then here we have garlic

some salt

tofu and glass noodles

so here we have some red pepper powder

and some fish sauce

and this is galbi which is a really popular korean bbq meat

you can use this in many ways

so we actually use this for bbq

um it comes like this but a big piece of meat right there.

so my mom pretty much chopped the meat portion off and we bbq'd it

instead of throwing these away, we like to re use them

so my mom boiled this, and it's all cleaned. we're gonna make this into a stew

and so if you ever eat galbi just don't throw away the bones

because you can use them for another recipe

so this is galbi and we'll be using this as well

put the anchovies and the shrimp in here so we're going to make the broth

and this is how typically a lot of Korean broths are made

just let that simma simma

just cover the lid and let it boil for about 5-6 minutes

now that it's boiling, you have to take it out

cause you just wanna use it for the broth. we're not using it you know, as a real ingredient

we're just taking the juices out of it

and then you'll get this really nice fish and shrimp broth

after that, you're just gonna throw these galbi bones in here

the broth is gonna get even richer

so you're gonna boil this for 5 minutes

we wait another 5 minutes

so now we're gonna take some fish sauce

we're just eyeballing it

that's like 2 tablespoons

and the fish sauce really adds a lot of flavor

Koreans use that a lot in their stew

1/4 teaspoon of salt

and then goju which is a hot pepper paste

she just gone go for it

she just added like..what was that? I don't even know

just go boom boom boom boom boom

oh maybe 1 teaspoon. 1 teaspoon?

that was more!

1 teaspoon and half more

after that we're gonna add the radish

the hardest vegetable goes first

so the radish always goes in first

because it takes the longest to soften

2-3 minutes

in the meantime, i'll just give a little test taste

I've always wanted to do this when I had my own cooking show

mmmhm!

now the squash

oh mushrooms, add the carrots

2 tablespoons

and then add the tofu

green peppers

and then the green onions

salt bae

mkay and then at the very end you're gonna add the glass noodles

just right on top

Because they cook really fast, right mom?

it's like literally a few seconds and they're ready

my mom wants me to taste it

Add some salt

a little bit of salt

we never really go by measurements

alright and we're here at my dinner table

and we have our finished galbi bone soup

and my mom made fresh kimchi today. My mom and my aunt

fresh kimchi, radish kimchi, and cucumber kimchi

It's yummy

Okay, I'm going to ask some questions as we eat

I asked you guys on twitter, to send any questions that you have for my mom and aunt

and got a few of them so..

I'll be asking them right now

When Sophie first introduced Silas,

I looked at him and my thoughts were...

I wished that you met someone who was Korean because we are Korean

at first, but

your dad and I wanted to give him a chance because you chose him

So we decided to meet him first and then have an opinion about him

that's what we thought. but now.. looking at Silas

I remember the first time we met, he had on a nice suit and his hair cut

We were meeting at a restaurant and he opened the door for me, I went "oooh"

Why didn't he open the door for me??

I got a good look at him and thought, "wow what a handsome guy"

and he's so nice and smart

Couple months pass

and I realized he always wore long sleeves so I asked,

"Why are you wearing long sleeves when it's hot outside? Take it off."

it was because he had tattoos all over and I was so shocked

I was thinking "no, this can't be it"

but he said his friend had a tattoo shop and wanted to test it out on him

I thought to myself..since I don't have son. If Silas was my son, would I have been understanding?

I probably would have been

That's why I call you guys "gangster couple" Si and Sophie, gangster couple

Sophie has a back tattoo as well

oh yeahhh gangstaa couple!

But he has a kind heart so of course I think of him as my son

at least now I do, now

your son? congratulations

Okay Aunt! How about you??

You want me to talk about it too?

When I first saw Si...

Did you first see him in my videos?

I've seen him in your videos, heard about him from your mom, saw him on FaceTime

I didn't care about the tattoos, I had a good first impression of him

Aunt, because you're a bit more younger, you're more understanding about tattoos

I understand too

I understand

He does really have a lot of tattoos though

He can't get anymore

No, there's nowhere else for him to get more!

Except for his face

Tear drops on his face

I'm kidding!

Promise me no more tattoos

I like you guys together, I wish the best for you both

First time, I didn't know you were on YouTube

Yeah I was in my room with the doors locked

I was so stressed because your make up was so intense in high school

You always gave me an attitude about it

I was so stressed out but I knew you were going through puberty

We fought a lot because of that

Yes we did fight a lot,

I didn't think you were on YouTube. I didn't think it was something you were pursuing seriously

When I was in LA for college I called you and said I have to tell you something,

so I told you that a while ago I started filming videos in my room.

I told you that I needed a better camera and asked if you would buy it for me please?

By then I thought you and your sister had to do what you loved, what you wanted to do

parents are normally saying you have to be a doctor or a lawyer but if that is not what you wanted to pursue

then it puts a lot of stress on you so I just wanted to you be happy.

Appreciate it

That's a good way of thinking

If I didn't think that way when we were all back in VA, you wouldn't have been out here going to school.

I always wanted to push you to do better and go to school and do what you love

If it wasn't for my mom there would be no videos!

When did you and mom talk about my YouTube?

When Sophie was in school, she filmed a house tour and back then her cheeks were so big and young,

that was when I really liked what I saw

After hearing you out, I thought wow, this is not a bad job

this is not a bad idea, it's a different generation

Later on, I thought it was a good idea

There weren't many YouTube job opportunities back then so naturally you were worried

Yeah my first time, I was like what is YouTube?? That's what I thought.

But now, I want to thank you because you work so hard

When we first moved here and all of our family was still in Korea, it was hard, we didn't speak any English

Back then, I would cry every time I saw an airplane.

Whenever a plane would pass in the sky, she would cry

We would write letters to keep in touch

Why did you come to America?

Your dad came here so I followed him

Why did he come?

Your grandmother and aunt came, we came to better our lives.

It was really hard in the beginning but then you and your sister were born.

As you got bigger, I realized I'm out here far away with my family, so we need to do the best we can.

I can truly say we worked hard

Our first house was so small, second house was a medium size

But when you and dad first came to America, you didn't have a lot of money

Yeah we had to start all over so we didn't have a lot of money,

but we worked so hard we slowly started to make money.

Aunt, did you miss my mom?

Yes, I was in school when she left. We would hand write each other letters in the beginning because

our cell phones weren't as nice as this.

So we wrote letters, and talked on the phone sometimes, but now we talk on KaKaoTalk and Facebook everyday.

Dad always complains about it now

So mom, how many siblings do you have?

2 brothers and 2 sisters, me, so total of 5

We say our hellos and I ask "have you eaten?"

She's always like "eat more, eat more, do you want more?"

My aunt always greets me like "Sophhieee~~"

Yes, that's right because we don't get to see each other often so I'm excited

Yea, because we don't see each other a lot.

I really don't like it, it has caused me so much stress, I just wanted to die (being sarcastic)

Mommm!

I just don't like it.

At first when Sophie got that tattoo, she was separated from her mom so she couldn't tell her (distance wise)

so later on when Sophie came to visit Korea, we go to the spa and she's like "I have to tell you something"

she puts a towel on her back so her mom couldn't see and showed me the tattoo.

she confessed to her aunt first

I looked at it and I saw the tiger and dragon together, it was so big I was surprised.

But then I thought now a days, a lot of young people do that.

Even Kpop stars get them

Yeah you're right

But yours is a bit big, if it was smaller I would like it more

Yeah you're right

But yes, in the beginning I was a little shocked.

When we were at the Korean spa, you were trying to cover it up

My mom took a small towel and just tried to cover me

Thank you so so much for loving Sophia and supporting her for all of these years. and always being interested in her.

And as her mom I want to thank you so much!

Mom always need to say a longer message

I just want to say thank you for loving her too. Sophie's such a hard worker, so kind and pretty

Please continue to love her, thank you thank you!

A Minute with Mark: Have you paid out any claims yet? - Duration: 0:49.

(optimistic music)

- Hi, I'm Mark Page.

Thanks for this week's question.

Yes, we pay lots of claims, and in fact,

on average, we see a claim seven months

from the date of inspection.

The largest number of claims that we receive

are for foundation.

I'd encourage you to go onto our web site,

thecertifiedresalehome.ca.

There's a document, the warranty coverage document,

that's very brief, and it provides examples

of how the coverage works.

For foundation, what we do cover are significant

foundation issues that immediately compromise

the integrity of the home, and we cover leaks

through cracks in the foundation.

New York Times: Nazis, They're Just Like You! - Duration: 6:35.

DID YOU HEAR THE ONE ABOUT THE NAZI IN THE NEW YORK TIMES?

THERE WAS AN ARTICLE THAT RAN IN THE SUNDAY TIMES, SCHEDULED TO

GO OUT IN THE SUNDAY PRINT VERSION CALLED A VOICE OF

HATE IN AMERICA'S HEARTLAND.

WRITTEN BY RICHARD FOSSETT.

IT WENT UP ONLINE BEFORE THAT.

BEFORE THEY GOT TO PRINT THE ARTICLE THERE WAS A HUGE

BACKLASH ONLINE AND IT WAS INTENDED TO BE A PORTRAIT

OF A PERSON WHO IS A NAZI AND IS LIVING IN OHIO.

IT WAS SUPPOSED TO REVEAL SOME INNER TRUTH ABOUT HOW THESE

PEOPLE CAN LIVE ALONGSIDE US.

I TRIED TO FIND ONE PASSAGE THAT EXEMPLIFIES WHAT FOLKS FIND

TO BE A LITTLE TONE DEAF.

SO IT IS JUXTAPOSING THESE DESCRIPTORS OF HIM.

THERE IS A SATIRICAL VERSION OF THIS PUT UP ON THE ATLANTIC

THAT GOT TRACTION.

IS CALLED NAZIS ARE JUST LIKE YOU AND ME EXCEPT THEY ARE

NAZIS DESPITE WHAT YOU MAY HAVE READ IN THE NEW YORK TIMES.

HERE IS THE QUOTE FROM THAT ARTICLE SATIRICALLY MIMICKING

WHAT HE WOULD HEAR OR READ IN THE NEW YORK TIMES ARTICLE.

DID YOU READ THIS ARTICLE?

>>YES.

I AM CONFLICTED ON THIS ONE.

SHOULD HE HAVE SPENT MORE TIME EXPLAINING THE NEO-NAZI STAFF

INSTEAD OF HOW HE OWNS A CAT AND THAT HE LIKES SITCOMS?

YES.

ON THE OTHER HAND FEELS LIKE THE WORLD IS COMING DOWN ON THIS

REPORTER FOR WRITING WHAT I THINK IS STILL AN INTERESTING

PIECE ABOUT HOW THEY LIVE AMONG US.

I THINK THAT IS SOMETHING WORTH WRITING ABOUT.

I WILL TELL YOU MY OWN EXPERIENCE.

I WENT TO VISIT A FRIEND IN WEST VIRGINIA WHO HAPPENS TO BE

JEWISH.

AND HIS WIFE IS NOT.

BUT HE IS LIVING NEXT DOOR TO A GUY WHO HAD A SWASTIKA ON

HIS CAR.

IT WAS AS A BUMPER STICKER.

I DON'T REMEMBER IF HE HAD A FLAG, BUT IT WAS RIGHT THERE.

I WAS SCARY AS ALL HELL BECAUSE I GREW UP IN PLACES WHERE THERE

WERE ALL DIFFERENT RACES.

IN WEST VIRGINIA THAT IS NOT THE CASE.

WHEN THE GUY PUTS UP THE NAZI FLAG, AND NO ONE OBJECTS

THAT IS FRIGHTENING.

I DIDN'T TALK TO MY FRIEND ABOUT THIS BUT IT IS KIND OF

FASCINATING THAT THAT SAME NAZI GUY THINKS JERRY SEINFELD,

THAT FUNNY JEW FROM NEW YORK.

I THINK THERE IS VALUE IN THE PEACE.

IS THAT CRAZY?

>>I GET IT.

THE PROBLEM WITH THE TIME STORY IS NOT THAT IT IS A MODERN-DAY

NAZI, IT DOESN'T OFFER ANY INSIGHT INTO MODERN-DAY NAZIS.

YOU CAN COMPARE THAT TO HOW PEOPLE SAID THAT ADOLF HITLER

LOVED MUSIC AND HE WAS INTO ARTS.

HE SAID ALSO IT IS CHILDISH TO

BE SURPRISED THAT EVIL

PEOPLE ARE ALSO PEOPLE.

THE MOST DISAPPOINTING THING ABOUT THIS NEW YORK TIMES

PIECE IS IT READS LIKE A CLUELESS VICE PEACE.

IF

YOU LOOK AT THIS ARTICLE ONLINE IT WILL TELL YOU

IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TITLE AND BEFORE THE BYLINE THAT THERE

HAS BEEN A LOT OF BACKLASH, READ OUR EDITORS AND WRITERS SAID.

THEY SAID THE POINT OF THE STORY WAS NOT TO NORMALIZE ANYTHING

BUT TO DESCRIBE THE EXTREME TO WHAT HATE AND EXTREMISM

HAVE BECOME MORE NORMAL THAN ANY OF US WANT TO THINK.

IT DOESN'T DO A LOT OF HANDHOLDING, AND THE WRITER

EXPRESSED FRUSTRATION WHEN HE TRIED TO ASK THOSE QUESTIONS

THAT HE JUST NEVER GOT A SATISFIED ANSWER, BUT RATHER

THAN FOCUSING ON THE LACK OF A SATISFYING ANSWER CHOSE TO JUST

PAINT THIS PICTURE WHICH ENDS UP COMING OFF TO MOST READERS

AS PRETTY NORMAL.

>> BUT HE DID MENTION THE LOAN SOME OPINIONS HE HAD.

I WOULDN'T STOP SOMEONE FROM BRINGING THAT UP.

I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO BE MORE RACIST AND HE IS

ACTUALLY WAY MORE ANTI-SEMITIC.

IT IS FASCINATING IN THAT SENSE AND I WILL LEAVE

IT AT THAT.

Studio Rhode - My Woonsocket Life - Pauline R. - Duration: 4:40.

[The first thing we want you to talk to talk to us about is could you tell us

some of your favorite Woonsocket memories?] Some of my favorite Woonsocket memories?

Okay. As a kid, I remember, one thing that I remember is we used to

have a lot of buses. And, one Christmas we lived in Morin Heights and my

grandmother and I went shopping downtown Mainstreet, and the thing is, we had just

moved there and we forgot we didn't know where the bus stop was, so we ended up

wherever the buses ended and had to call a relative to come and pick us up. And

one of the reasons that that's a memory is because I feel like nowadays the bus

transportation is so limited that if we could, like not long ago, we went to, I think,

it was Pittsfield and they had like vans as buses. So to me that would be like a

thing, you know. And then one of the other memories is like, as still as a kid, was

which would never be allowed today. My mom worked at Woonsocket Spinning right near

the high school, where the high school is now. And on Fridays my brother and I would

walk down there, meet my mother and actually go into the mill where all the

people were spinning and, you know, the noise and everything. So that's the kind

of memories when I think I of Woonsocket, the old Woonsocket, the old Woonsocket.

And then the other one is when I was like 16, 17 and I had got gotten a driver's license and

that's when Woonsocket was still alive Thursday nights on Main Street, and everybody

would go up and down Main Street and it was...that was Woonsocket. Woonsocket was alive.

And I know it's never, it's never gonna be that again. It's never gonna be

that again, but my hope now is that like with the NeighborWorks thing and

collaborative and the city that they make maybe Woonsocket a destination place, maybe.

[Do you want to say anything more about what you like about living here?]

What I like about living here, um, I like the fact that whenever, whenever

help is needed or whenever people come together as a community, and I like the

there's so many different multicultural things but I don't think we take

advantage of it as well as we could, if we, you know, work together and got to know

one another better especially like, like my neighborhood Fairmount, it's like the

United Nations but it seems like, maybe I shouldn't say this but like, maybe some

cultures don't...we should be united America and work together and make Woonsocket better. [Okay.]

[One of the other questions we have is what do you find

challenging about living in Woonsocket?] What I find challenging?

People not willing to really accept new ideas maybe, or you know like, like when we talk say

about bringing Woonsocket alive again, it's more like thinking of the old way

and it's, it's really challenging to get people to focus because there's so many

different organizations helping, and they're all doing the same basic thing,

but if we all work together, we could do better. [Okay.]

And finally, what would you do to change Woonsocket?] What would I do to change Woonsocket?

Maybe try to get people to work more together and like, I would like

to see Woonsocket become a destination place, you know. But I

think one thing we could do is maybe list all the good things, list all the

places that people can go and visit, you know, like the Museum of Work and Culture,

we've got the Stadium and if you looked in the, like I looked in the AAA book

not long ago and the only thing they had in there with Woonsocket was the River

Falls restaurant, you know. You got you got the Museum of Work and

Culture, you got Autumnfest, all that stuff, and we don't sell our own self.

[Yeah] So I'd like to see, I'd like to see us come alive in a different way.

[Okay, very good. Thank you.]
