"feminist" beauty queen those who support vice president leni robredo

claim that she is a "feminist."

but feminist groups look down on competitions like the ms. universe pageant because they

say that it reinforces impossible ideals of feminine physical beauty.

also, i remember them claiming that the government shouldn't be spending a single centavo on

such a "useless" spectacle.

so, madam vice president, why the interest in the pageant, and why the big fuss over

the fact that you were not invited to the show?

three points: (1) your latest drama just shows that you are not really what your spin doctors

and backers say that you are—that, or the women's groups are just pulling our legs;

(2) if you really want to be there, why not buy your own ticket?—you don't think that

it is right for the government to spend money on the show, and yet you whine in public that

it did not give you a free pass?

(3) in the past few days, our representative to the mentioned competition, ms. maxine medina,

had been the object of terrible bashing perpetrated by our own countrymen. she needs our full

support and encouragement to be able to represent the nation well, and what do you do?

inaagawan mo pa s'ya (na kapuwa mo babae) ng atensyon at eksena! unbelievable!

this much is clear to me: not only are you hypocritical and incompetent, you also can't

go past yourself to genuinely help another countryman, another woman at that! kung sa

pagbibigay ng simpatya sa iisang tao sablay ka na, ano pa kaya sa buong sambayanan?

koronahan na si leni!

ENGLISH VOCABULARY LESSON MY FAVOURITE WORDS - Duration: 4:03.

Hello everyone welcome back.

Today I want to share with you some of my favorite words in English.

I've picked quite a random group of words so I will first explain to you what the word

means the definition, I will give you an example of the word in a sentence and then I will

give you a little explanation to why I chose this word. So let's start.

The first word I have picked is Cliche.

Cliche.

This is a saying or an idea which is used to much.

It's overused that it kind of becomes boring and uninteresting or unimportant.

A good example in English would be the saying 'There's plenty of fish in he sea' this is

used when talking about love or relationships meaning there's plenty more people out there

for you, but it's something we hear all the time something people always say to try to

cheer somebody up.

That is a Cliche.

The reason I chose the word is partly because I like the sound Cliche and also I quite like

having a word to use for this situation.

The word actually comes from French which you will see I have actually left the accent

on which is quite rare in England to use accents in our language.

My next word I have chosen is Jaded.

Jaded.

This is when somebody becomes bored and uninterested in something because they have had a bad experience

usually or a negate experience in it.

For example it's quite common to use the word Jaded when talking about love.

We could have the sentence 'Tom was very jaded after his wife left him' I like this word

because it's quite powerful and it's quite different.

It's quite unique word.

So that's why I have chosen this one.

Jaded.

My third word is Awesome.

Awesome is another way of saying extremely good or great and I use it a lot every day,

that's the main reason I chose it.

So we can say for example You are Awesome.

Your awesome.

The next word is Banter.

Banter is to tease or lightly insult your friends in a very joking playful way.

So you might bring up something embarrassing your friend did to try and lightly insult

them to give them a bit of banter.

So in a sentence we could have 'Banter is very common in England' and this is true.

English people like to have banter with their friends they like to be playful with their

friends.

I chose this word because it's a nice way to explain this and it also does sound quite

nice as well.

It's quite a different word and I think it's quite an English thing.

Banter.

The last word I have chosen is Adventure.

Adventure is trying something new or slightly different.

It's doing something unusual which is usually a fun exciting activity.

It might sometimes involve a little risk.

So for example we could have 'I'm going on an adventure to Africa' I chose this word

because it's quite important to me.

I like the idea of living life as if it's an adventure or I like experiencing lot's

of adventures.

I hope you liked hearing some of my favorite words.

What would be really great is if you could put some of your favorite English words in

the comments and hopefully if we get enough I will make a video where I go through some

of your favorite words as well.

So please do put them in the comments so I can make that.

Thank you very much for watching this video remember there's new lessons every Tuesday

and Friday so please subscribe and I will see you all soon.

Bye!

6 Common Symptoms of Iron Deficiency You Should Not Ignore - Duration: 10:21.

Hi, I'm Anisa. on this occasion I will talk about 6 warning sign you are lack or iron

hope you enjoy it

6 Signs and Symptoms of Iron Deficiency.

Iron is an important dietary mineral that is involved in various bodily functions blood low iron.

It is commonly known for aiding the production of hemoglobin, a protein that helps red blood cells deliver oxygen throughout your body.

It also acts as a transport medium for electrons to travel within the cells and is needed for many enzymes to function normally.

Maintaining a healthy level of iron in your body is important, yet iron deficiency is the most common nutritional deficiency in the world.

If it is not controlled in time, it can lead to iron-deficiency anemia iron anemia symptoms.

Here are the top 10 signs and symptoms of iron deficiency.

1. Fatigue and Tiredness symptoms of low iron in males

Fatigue and tiredness are common in people who have a low iron level pernicious anemia causes.

Iron is important for maintaining optimum levels of hemoglobin, which is the oxygen-carrying chemical in the bloodstream.

Lack of oxygen in the body causes constant fatigue and tiredness anemia management.

A 2000 study published in Quality of Life Research suggests

that iron deficiency is associated with decreased general health and well-being and increased fatigue.

Another study published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition in 2001 reports that dietary and supplement treatment of iron

deficiency improved the general health and fatigue in Australian women of childbearing age.

In addition, a 2012 study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal reports

that iron supplementation in non-anemic menstruating women with low ferritin helps reduce fatigue.

Ferritin is a chemical that aids the storage of iron in the blood treatment for iron deficiency anemia.

If you are frequently tired and feeling fatigued, get your blood checked to find out whether you have an iron deficiency.

Proper diagnosis and timely treatment will help reduce the symptoms quickly.

2. anemia from iron deficiency Shortness of Breath

Due to a low iron level, less oxygen reaches different parts of your body.

When the body's oxygen level is low, it will cause shortness of breath, no matter how deeply you breathe.

anemia disease This shortness of breath occurs even while doing things that you'd normally handle just fine, such as climbing the stairs,

taking a short walk or even carrying small objects. The breathlessness can be mild,

moderate or severe, what causes your iron to be low and breathing often returns to normal after a rest period.

If you need to puff for air more often, get your iron level checked to rule out the possibility of this nutrient deficiency.

Shortness of breath can also be due to a respiratory infection, chronic bronchitis,

heart disease and allergies, all of which may require medical care.

3. Pale Skin. Another common sign associated with iron deficiency is pale skin or a washed-out appearance.

Due to a low iron level, your body is unable to manufacture sufficient hemoglobin.

It's the hemoglobin that gives your blood its red color and your skin its rosy hue.

As the iron deficiency worsens, your skin begins to lose its normal color and becomes pale.

This sign is more prominent in people who have a lighter skin tone.

Irrespective of skin tone, a low iron level makes the inside of your lips, your gums and the inside of your bottom eyelids less red than usual.

If your skin starts looking paler than usual and you are not sick, consult a doctor to determine the cause.

4. Brittle Nails. If your nails look pale, fragile and brittle, it can be a possible sign of iron deficiency.

Along with brittle nails, a concave or spoon- shaped depression in the nails can indicate an insufficient iron level in the body.

A low iron level hampers your body's ability to produce enough hemoglobin,

which helps carry oxygen throughout your system, including to your nails.

This lack of oxygen prohibits the healthy growth of your nails.

A 2010 study published in Clinics in Dermatology reports that

virtually every nutritional deficiency can affect the growth of the nails in some manner and iron is one of them.

Apart from nutritional deficiencies, aging, long- term use of nail polish and frequent exposure to water can lead to brittle nails.

5. Hair Loss. There are many possible causes for hair loss and iron deficiency is one of them.

A low iron level sends your body into survival mode, during which it channels oxygen to support vital functions as opposed to less important

functions like hair growth. A 2006 study published in the Journal of the American Academy of

Dermatology shows that iron deficiency has a much closer link to hair loss than most doctors realize.

Adequate iron intake may be the key to restoring hair growth.

In fact, women with iron deficiency are at a risk of telogen hair loss,

according to a 2009 study published in Acta Dermatovenerologica Croatica.

A recent 2013 study published in the Journal of Korean Medical Science supports previous studies and reports that iron deficiency can be

a factor in developing or worsening female pattern hair loss, especially in premenopausal women.

To find out whether an iron deficiency is the cause of your hair loss, it is important to measure the amount of ferritin in the blood.

6. Craving Nonfood Substances

Pica is a condition in which a person has an unusual craving for non nutritive substances that can cause significant health risks.

This condition can be sign of a low level of iron or other nutrients in the body.

In a 2010 study published in the Journal of Medical Case Reports,

experts considered pica an important sign of iron deficiency that should never be ignored.

A recent 2014 study published in the Journal of Nutrition found that pregnant teens with significantly lower iron levels had cravings for ice,

cornstarch, vacuum dust, baby powder, soap and other nonfood items.

If you are craving nonfood items, bring it to the attention of your doctor to find out the exact reason behind it.
