Waching daily Apr 3 2018

Hi.

I'm Rebecca from engVid.

Today I'm especially excited to welcome you to a new series that I've created called:

"How to Speak like a Manager".

In this series you will learn how to take general English and upgrade it to business

English.

Okay?

And we'll be doing that by looking at different verbs that you can use, adjectives, nouns,

and so on.

Okay?

But today in this lesson we will be focusing on eight verbs.

But you might be asking: "Only eight verbs and I can become a manager?"

Well, yes.

"Why?"

Because I'm going to show you how these eight verbs, to start with, can actually be used

in hundreds of ways, in different collocations or combinations of words, so therefore you'll

be able to use them in all kinds of situations.

Definitely in professional situations, but also in social situations or personal situations.

Okay?

So, let's start right now.

Okay.

So let's suppose what you want to say in general English or regular English is something like

this: "I need to find out what's wrong."

Okay?

Now, on this side is all the regular English or the general English.

Okay?

And on this side we're going to express the same idea, but in higher English, in more

advanced business English or more professional English.

And you're going to help me because I didn't write the word in yet.

You're going to help me because perhaps you already know some of these words, but even

if you know them you might not realize how many different ways we can actually use those

same words, and that's what I want you to be able to do.

Okay?

So suppose your idea in your mind is that: "I need to find out what's wrong."

So how can we say that in more professional English?

"I need to", the verb starts with "i": "I need to _______ the problem.

I need to identify the problem."

Okay?

So, our first word today is "identify".

Say it after me: "identify the problem".

Good.

Now, suppose the idea you're trying to convey is: "I need to fix the problem."

Okay?

"Fix" is a very ordinary word, so what better word could we use here?

"I need to _______ the issue or the issues.

I need to", you might know this word.

"I need to resolve", okay?

So, "resolve" is just like "solve", but usually we say: "Solve the problem", but we might

say: "Resolve the issue".

And "resolve" is an even higher, more advanced word.

And the higher vocabulary that you use, the more professional you will sound.

Okay?

And that's what our goal is.

Right?

Okay, next: "I need to give people confidence."

So what's a good word or verb for that?

"To give somebody confidence" is to, something starts with "m": "I need to _______ my employees.

I need to..."

Do you know this word?

I'm sure you've heard it.

"Motivate".

Okay?

Say it after me: "Motivate" or "motivate".

You can say the "t"; sometimes it's easier and clearer for people to understand you when

you say the "t".

So let's say the "t" now: "Motivate.

I need to motivate my employees" or: "I need to motivate my employees."

Okay?

Instead of saying: "I need to give people confidence", because you see that all the

verbs here are very ordinary, everyday verbs, and those are higher-level verbs.

Next: "I need to give clients my attention."

Again, we have a very weak verb here, so how can you say that: "I need to give my attention

to my clients or give clients my attention"?

The word...

The verb starts with "f": "I need to _______ on our clients."

What's the verb?

Do you know it?

"I need to focus", okay?

Say it after me: "Focus".

Be careful how you pronounce this word because otherwise it can sound improper.

All right?

"I need to focus on our clients."

Sounds a lot better than saying: "I need to give my attention to my clients."

Okay?

"I need to focus".

Next: "I need to spend as little as possible".

"Spend as little" means spend as little money.

So what's one word that captures that idea, to spend as little as possible?

It starts with "m": "I need to _______ our expenses or our costs."

Do you know what it is?

Okay?

So the word is "minimize".

Okay?

I've written it twice because this is the American way with a "z" or a "z", and this

is the British spelling with a "s"; both are correct.

So: "I need to minimize our expenses."

When you minimize something, you reduce it to as much as possible.

Okay?

"Minimize".

And, again, we're going to see so many different ways in which we can use this verb and all

of these verbs.

Okay?

Not just the way I've done it here with "resolve the issues".

We're going to see lots of other things you can resolve or lots of other things you can

minimize.

Okay.

Next: "I need to make as much money as possible."

Don't we all?

Okay.

So, what's a good verb for that?

Again, something that starts with "m": "I need to _______ our earnings".

"Earnings" means the money that you make.

So what's the verb?

It's very similar to "minimize"...

It's actually the opposite of "minimize", it is...

Yeah, I can hear some of you.

"Maximize", good.

Okay?

Again, I'm going to write it with the "z" or the "z", but you can also write it with

an "s" and it's correct.

What you need to do regarding that British and American spelling is stay consistent.

If you're using American spelling, then use American spelling; if you're using British

spelling, use British.

Okay?

Try to stay consistent.

Next: "I need to get more work."

We're not making enough money.

We need more work.

So instead of saying: "Get more work", we can say: "_______ more business".

What's that really good verb here?

It starts with "g": "generate".

Okay?

"Generate more business" means to make, create...

Create more business.

Okay?

Instead of just saying: "Get more work", which sounds very ordinary: "We need to generate

more business.

We need to create more business."

Okay?

And the last one: "I need to use the new ideas."

So, instead of saying "use", there is a verb that starts with "i" which means to put something

into practice, to use it: "I need to _______ the strategies" or "I need to _______ the

recommendations."

Do you know that word?

Okay.

"Implement".

Okay?

"To implement an idea" means to put it into practice.

So let's say you have an idea.

Okay?

That's great, we all have good ideas, but what are you going to do with that idea?

You want to use it, you want to put it into practice, you want to implement it.

But not only can you implement ideas, you can implement lots of other things which we're

going to talk about as we continue the lesson, but here we're talking about implementing

a strategy, which is a plan.

So, repeat after me now, just get used to saying these things out loud.

The more you say them, the more comfortable you will be saying them, and the more likely

you are to actually use them at work, or in a job interview, or something...

Or in your emails, your professional emails.

Okay?

Just get comfortable with them.

Are you ready?

"Identify the problem", "resolve the issues", "motivate my employees", "focus on our clients",

"minimize our expenses", "maximize our earnings", "generate more business", and "implement the

strategies".

Good.

Okay?

Now I'm going to show you how to take these eight words and use them in so many other

ways.

I'll be right back.

All right, so let's start with our first four words.

Okay?

"Identify", "resolve", "motivate", and "generate".

All right?

So let's look at how many different ways we can use these words, and these are just a

few of them.

Okay?

I've actually created for you a resource which has more than 100 words which you can use

in combination with just these eight verbs.

Okay?

So afterwards I'll tell you where you can download that from, from our website.

Okay?

But now let's look at some of the possibilities, how we can use these words.

So, the first word: "identify", so again: What does "identify" mean?

It means to find who or what.

Okay?

For example: If you want to start a new business, you need to also identify the risks of starting

a new business.

What is "the risk"?

The danger.

Okay?

The possible problems, the risks.

Or if you want to hire someone, you need to identify or find, you need to identify the

right person for the job.

Right?

Good.

That's part of a manager's role, to recruit good people.

All right.

Now, what I want to show you on this side is that you can not only use these verbs in

business and professional situations, but also in all kinds of other situations in your

life.

For example: You and your spouse might sit down and discuss the fact that we need to

identify the reasons why Johnny's not doing well in school, and how we can help him.

Okay?

"We need to identify the ways in which we can save money."

Okay?

So you see that we can use it in everyday life as well, but we're using higher-level

vocabulary.

Okay.

Now: "resolve".

Again, "resolve" is like solve.

Okay?

So: "We need to resolve the situation", "We need to resolve a crisis".

What's "a crisis"?

It's a very serious situation.

Okay?

Very bad, emergency kind of situation is a crisis.

All right?

"We need to resolve the disagreements between our children because they keep fighting."

Or: "We need to resolve the tension between these two neighbours."

Okay?

"Tension" is like stress.

Okay?

Next word: "motivate".

Right?

"We need to motivate our staff", "We need to motivate the team to do well."

All right?

"We need to motivate our kids".

"Kids" is like slang for children.

"Motivate our kids to do their homework", "I need to motivate my spouse to find another

job".

"Spouse", what does this word mean?

Husband or wife.

Okay?

And now the word "generate".

Okay?

So what is "generate"?

To create more of something.

So: "To generate more sales", of course that's usually the objective and the goal of most

companies, or to generate more revenue.

"Revenue" is just a business word for basically more money.

Okay?

All right.

Or: "You need to generate more interest in a particular subject."

Let's say your child is not interested in math or in some other subject, or geography,

and you want to generate...

You want to be able to help him to generate more interest in that subject or generate

more enthusiasm for helping you in the house.

Okay?

Things like that.

Now, as I said, we can use all kinds of subjects-okay?-for...

In our sentence.

We can say: "We need to".

You can talk about your company, we can say: "The company needs to..."

You could talk about your government, you can say: "The government needs to", whatever.

Or: "My children need to", "My neighbours need to", "My brother needs to", "My friend

needs to", "I need to".

Okay?

All right.

And not only "need to" before all these verbs; you can say: "I need to identify the risks",

"I should resolve this situation", "I must motivate the staff", or "I have to generate

more sales".

Okay?

So you see that you can use all kinds of verbs here as well.

Okay?

Now, when I come back we'll look at the other four verbs that we learned.

Now let's focus on our next four words.

Okay?

And they are: "focus", "minimize", "maximize", and "implement".

All right?

Let's look at how we can use these words.

You can focus on your priorities.

What are "priorities"?

The things that are most important, the things you should really be paying attention to are

your priorities.

Okay?

Let's say you have five things to do in a day, but the first thing is the most important

thing, that's your most important priority, so you should focus on that priority.

Okay?

Or you can focus on your goals, your objectives, your dreams, your visions, your ambitions,

and so on.

Okay?

Again, we can use these words in any sphere of life, also your academic life.

You can...

Perhaps you need to focus on your studies, you need to focus on improving your grades.

Okay?

Or improving your health.

Okay?

You can also add a word in there, like I did just now: "Focus on improving my health",

"Focus on increasing my grades", okay?

Things like that.

Next: "minimize".

Again, "minimize" means to reduce to the lowest level, so: "We need to minimize costs".

"Costs" are like expenses.

"We need to minimize the time that's wasted by many people in this department."

Okay?

"We need to minimize the noise-all right?-that's sometimes in this neighbourhood."

And: "We need to minimize the amount of money we are spending on coffee."

Okay?

Apparently I forgot to write that.

Okay, never mind.

All right.

"Maximize".

So, "maximize" means to make as high as possible.

This was to make as low as possible; "maximize" is to make as high as possible.

So: "We need to maximize our profit."

Okay?

"Profit" is the money that you earn after you have paid everything and everyone.

Okay?

"Need to maximize efficiency".

"Efficiency" is productivity, how...

How well you work in terms of time, in terms of all your resources.

"Maximize efficiency".

Okay?

As a student or as a parent, you want your children or you want yourself to...

You want to be able to maximize your grades.

You want to maximize your investments.

If you put money into a particular stock or share, you want to make sure that the investment

is maximized.

Okay?

Now, here you see that I am using a lot of other business vocabulary and generally more

advanced vocabulary, so you have a chance as you learn these eight verbs to also learn

a lot of these collocations and combinations with other nouns.

And in case you're not familiar with what those mean, then that's an opportunity to

go even further with this lesson.

Okay?

All right.

The last verb: "implement".

So, "to implement something" means to actually put it into practice, not just talk about

it, but to actually do it.

So: "We need to implement the changes", "We need to implement the new policies that the

department or that the company has come up with", "We need to implement the safety rules",

or "We need to implement the consultant's suggestions or recommendations", or anything

like that.

Okay?

Now, again, on that resource which I've created, you will see hundreds of examples of how you

can use just these eight words.

And in future lessons you'll see more verbs and more examples, so this is a really quick

shortcut.

Okay?

This is a vocabulary hack, actually, for you.

And a hack is a shortcut, a way for you to expand your vocabulary more quickly and more

easily.

All right?

So, what I suggest that you do now is a few things.

So, first go to our website at www.engvid.com, and there you can do a quiz on these eight

words-okay?-to make sure that you really know the meaning, understand how to use them and

so on.

Okay?

Next, you can...

While you're at the website you can also download for free the resource that I've created on

how to use these eight words with many other word combinations.

All right?

Then if you really want to start implementing the recommendations that I've made to you,

then write a sentence, write one sentence, write two, write three - choose one word and

write a sentence in the comments section of our engVid website, or on our Facebook, or

somewhere-okay?-or on YouTube.

So, write a comment using one, or two, or three of these words.

Okay?

Try to really make those words your own.

And you could write...

You could say, like: "I need to maximize my income."

Okay?

Or: "Our department should minimize costs."

Or: "The president must..."

I don't know, you decide what the president must do.

Okay?

So, there's so many different kinds of examples you could write.

Write about something that's relevant to you, and that will help you to remember these words

and understand these words properly.

Okay?

And last of all, subscribe to my YouTube channel because that way you can continue to get the

other lessons in this series, and lots of other lessons which I've created which are

really, like, shortcuts and hacks for you to learn English more effectively and efficiently.

Okay?

Thanks really...

Thanks very much for watching, and all the best with your English.

Bye for now.

between twenty and a hundred pounds in just a few months without doing any

boring cardio in this video I'm gonna show you how exactly how you can lose

weight by lifting weights and not going near a treadmill no I have done this

myself I lost 60 pounds in nine months by weight training and I didn't do any

cardio whatsoever I just trained three times a week using this style of program

where you work the upper and lower body in the same session for 30 minutes at a

time weightlifting is far superior for losing weight versus counting the reason

being is you actually do damage to the muscles and when you do damage to the

muscles during the weight training session your body then has to repair it

and it will take between two and three days after weight training sessions burn

more calories because it's doing this repair process and it will last for up

to 48 hours whereas with cardio you only burn calories whilst you're actually

doing the cardio so it could be supper bike it could be on a treadmill or

lacrosse trainer and you aren't actually burning a few calories while such

they're doing the activity well as with weights you're burning calories through

a couple of days here's my tip you want to be doing at least three weight

training sessions a week it doesn't have to be complicated and in this video I'm

going to show you a real simple Workout routine but you can do in your own gym

without any hassle whatsoever so let's get to it

that was a basic fat loss program for anyone who wants to get lean fit and

healthy once to drop weight wants to lose body fat it's a very good program

because it works the lower body and the upper body on the same day so you get

this kind of peripheral heart flow which means that your raises your heart rate

it makes you sweat quite profusely you can actually burn a lot more calories

especially after the training program for up to 48 hours what I like about it

is it's a very simple program there's nothing complicated you don't really

need anything like barbells or anything you just need some dumbbells a couple of

machines and in the gym and all you would do is depending on how busy your

gym is you might have to just do one exercise at a time but if you can do it

as pairs as I've designed it you'll get much more benefit but you do the leg

press straight into the pulldown you do this for three rounds you leg curl

straight into the incline press and you do that for three rounds and its a really

good program that we use it in Synergise here for someone who's just

starting off their weight loss journey and needs weight training and if you

have any comments or questions please put in the link below please like and

DIY Homemade De-tan Soap For Glowing Skin | Glamrs Skin Care - Duration: 4:00.

Summer brings with itself a lot of skin issues

and the most common one being the stubborn

tan that just refuses to go.

Hi I'm Manissha from Cape Of Good Soap and today,

I'm going to show you how you make a de-tan soap

which is really simple but highly effective.

We will follow a very simple & safe method

of making this soap called the Melt & Pour method

To make the soap, we will need

White soap base & Transparent soap base

Soap Bases are plain pre-made bases without any additives.

These are easy to use and save you from handling caustic soda.

Make sure you get one which is paraben & sulphate free,

and they are easily available online

You can use any clay like

Bentonite Clay, Dead sea clay or even Multani Mitti.

It unclogs the skin pores, controls oil formation,

gently exfoliates, adds glow

and it makes the skin softer too.

I'm going to use Bentonite clay,

which you can easily find online or at any beauty store

Poppy Seeds

Also known as khus khus

it acts as a natural exfoliator,

and is super gentle on the skin

due to its fine round granules.

Papaya Essential Oil

It impart some glow post usage of the product.

You can use lavender, rose or peppermint essential oil too,

to restore, calm and soothe sun damaged skin.

Liquid food colour

To give this soap a beautiful colour

Rubbing alcohol also known as Isopropyl alcohol

It is required to fuse layers, give the soap a neater finish

and to remove the bubbles.

A pretty mould

to give a beautiful shape to our soap.

And some microwave safe containers

We'll make a soap with two sides, both having the respective benefits,

where one side will act as a gentle scrubber having poppyseeds

and the other side will provide softening as it will have clay.

To make the exfoliating side,

the first step is to take a microwave safe container

You need to cut the transparent soap base into small even chunks,

and melt it in the microwave giving it 30 second heat burst.

Once melted, I'm going to add a few drops of orange food colour

about 8 drops of Papaya essential oil,

and a tsp full of poppy seeds.

Mix them all and pour them into the mold only half way.

Spray rubbing alcohol to remove any bubbles.

Let it set for some time till the layer thickens.

Now, moving onto the next side the soft one,

take another container

and melt some white soap base

following the same process as mentioned before.

Once it's melted, we need to add 1 tsp of the clay

and a few drops of papaya essential oil.

Mix them all

Now take the exfoliating soap mold

and check if it is set,

then go ahead and spray some rubbing alcohol over it

Pour the hot soap solution that we made carefully over the scrubby mold

and let it set in for a couple of hours.

Unmould it and you have your two sided soap ready!

This soap was super easy to make, wasn't it!

And the ingredients are easily available too!

All you need to do is just understand your skin and know what it requires.

Stay tuned for more such videos in this series on De-Tanning skin care products

that you can make yourself.

Also let me know if you want to see more DIY soap videos.

Until next time stay tuned and Stay Glamrs,

Best Free Mobile Video Editing Apps 2018 - Duration: 7:59.

- Hey guys.

I am excited about today,

because we are going to show you some super cool IOS

and Android mobile apps for editing videos

on the fly

on your phone.

Some are free, some are paid but they are all awesome.

- What's, what's with the noises?

- (sighs) You know who that is?

That's Mark.

Holly Gillan is out and Mark has moved in upstairs.

- Mark who?

- You know, Mark Orr, from Pocket Video School.

He's been editing videos since he was 17

and now apparently he is this expert in teaching people

how to use video on their phone.

But you know what, Mark?

This is our channel.

This is our video.

So we are going to do this video, not you, not you.

- Well, maybe we should hear what he has to say?

- Alright, see what he's got to say.

(slide whistle and bell)

- Well, you've caught me trying to wind up

my two neighbours downstairs, Andrew and Pete.

So, I love playing around with sound effects and things

and I know it really, really irritates them so,

I'm gonna turn the volume.

No, I'm only kidding. (laughs)

Anyway, thank you Andrew and Pete.

So whether you're using an iPhone, an iPad,

an Android phone, or an Android tablet,

there are some really good apps available nowadays,

which will allow you to create some

really good looking videos that you can use across any of

your social channels, whether it be YouTube, Facebook,

Twitter or Instagram, or any of the others.

And you can create some powerful videos using these tools.

So first of all, let's start with an IOS device,

and let's cover some of the free options that are available.

Now usually they'll tend to your IOS device,

you will have iMovie.

Now, iMovie is a basic app.

It is quite powerful, to be perfectly honest with you.

And if you're doing some run and gun stuff,

so you're out there in the field with your smart phone,

you can actually do some topping and tailing,

which basically means cutting off the beginning and the end.

Now there is another free option,

something that I have come across recently,

and it's by a company called Wondershare and Filmora,

and it's a new free platform that they've brought out

called Vlogit, and it's got some limitations.

Again, it probably doesn't give you the flexibility

that you need if you really want to create some

professional-looking videos with lots of layers and things.

What it does do is it gives you the option to plug in intros

so it has some pre-set intros that you can use.

You can layer titles in there.

You can have some animated titles, as well, which is...

Some of them are really, really effective.

Android devices unfortunately don't usually come

with a free editing application built in to them,

so I would definitely recommend for those beginners

who are wanting to start using video editing software,

then certainly give Vlogit a try

cause I think it's a really good option for you,

get to grips with and create some really good videos.

So now we are going to move on to paid apps.

The one I'm going to recommend are two apps,

one for each platform that are one-off payments.

So, once you've paid for it, you get to use the app

continuously, and you usually get the updates that come out,

depending on your particular device.

The one that I recommend for Android devices is by a company

called CyberLink, and it's called Power Director.

Now, this is a really, really good app for Android devices,

and I've been lead to believe that they have

actually now brought out a version for IOS, as well.

But I haven't seen it so I can't comment on it and say

whether it's just as good for IOS as it is for Android.

But I definitely recommend it for Android devices.

And one of its coolest features is that it has really,

really powerful colour correction facilities.

So, I mentioned this earlier on,

if your footage wasn't of the quality

that you particularly were happy with,

and you wanted to adjust it afterwards,

then Power Director has some really good features in there

for making colour corrections so that your footage looks

as you particularly want it.

And some of the other apps that I have mentioned in the past

haven't really got what I would call true colour correction,

but they might have filters, the kind of things

that you would see on Instagram.

So it will overlay over the top and it's quite harsh

in the effect that it gives.

Yes, Power Director gives you the opportunity

to really adjust everything, from saturation

through to your white allen switch is something

that can really affect how your footage looks.

When you first instal Power Director,

you can actually use it free.

It isn't, however, gonna give you the option

to output in HD.

There will be a watermark on there,

which is not necessarily a good thing, so you are gonna want

to have to either go for a subscription.

If you did want to though, it's 3 pounds thirty-nine

per quarter, so that's for 3 months.

Or what you can do is pay 8 pounds forty-nine,

and that is a one-time payment,

and obviously gives you access to all HD.

It removes the watermark and the ads.

It allows you to overlay up to two video clips,

and I think that's pretty much in a give-you, exactly what

you would need for some really good quality video starts.

So that was the Android device and that was Power Director,

so now we're gonna look at the IOS devices.

And the one for me, that has made the biggest improvements

over the past 12 months is one called LumaFusion.

This again is I would say probably

on a par with Power Director in that it's got

some really good colour correction facilities in there.

It's got some good audio controls in there so you can

adjust everything to the way you want it.

Multiple layers so you can build up your actual video

footage so that you've got all the elements in there that

you need, whether it's your titles, your animated titles.

Now the one thing about LumaFusion is that

the titling side of things is maybe not quite as good

as Power Director, but it's probably got enough in there

for the majority of things

that most people would want to do.

19.99 is gonna get you the full version

as a one-off payment for LumaFusion.

And that's going to give you a really powerful

video editing software that you

can use on your IOS device, whether it be iPhone or iPad.

If you've got any questions, please feel free to contact

mark@pocketvideoschool.com, and I'll help you in

anyway that I can.

So thanks again, Andrew and Pete, and it's back to you.

- Nice, nice, thanks man.

I guess we don't really need to say anything else.

- Guess not.

Guys make sure you go and give this video a like

and a comment to show some appreciation to Mark.

And why not go and give his channel a subscribe too.

- Yeah, guys if you've enjoyed that and you want to get

all-in on video but you don't know where to get started,

and you don't want to spend loads of money

on all this fancy equipment,

then you need to check out the latest show on Atomic,

"Ready to Play".

It's all about how to create professional looking videos

quickly and without a huge budget.

In fact, you can create videos on a zero budget,

if you want.

- Video is a must in 2018, and if you haven't dived in yet

then now is your chance.

In this ballpark show, we have Mark Orr himself,

you know him from upstairs,

break down everything you need to know.

We have the equipment you need, how to shoot the video,

how to edit the video, and how to optimise them

for YouTube, too.

- Mark has been doing video for over 35 years.

- Wow.

- And once a member of Atomic, you can get access

to his vast wealth

of video knowledge.

So guys, go check out the show right now.

Put the link in the description ready to play.

Can't wait to see what you come up with

and the videos you are gonna create.

- Thank you so much for watching, guys.

I have been Andrew.

He has been Pete.

He has been Mark.

And we will see you next time.

- Thanks man.

- It's not really, I don't wanna upstage you now.

It's all an act.

- Sh. We've been the illusion.

- (laughs)

James Woods Responds to Illegal Horde at Border: Paul Ryan Must Go Do Something You

A 1500-person-strong army of illegal migrants is marching to the US border through Mexico

this month with the blessing of the Mexican government.

The Pueblos Sin Fronteras, an international group against borders, is behind the invading

army.

If you look at the make-up of the group it looks like most of the marchers are young

men between the ages of 15 and 35.

Pueblos Sin Fronteras, the group behind the 1500 strong illegal migrant army marching

through Mexico with the blessing of the Mexican government to the United States is feeling

the heat from pro-border Americans and President Donald Trump.

Spokespersons for PSF gave interviews on Sunday in which they claimed most of the migrants

would stay in Mexico while others would seek asylum at US ports of entry rather than illegally

cross the border.Flores article reported the migrants were responsible for their food,

water and expenses.

Alex Mensing, another organizer with Pueblos Sin Fronteras, made that point clear to the

migrants before the group started out.

He also stressed that everyone is responsible for their own food, water, and payment for

vans or buses.

Still, its far cheaper than being assaulted or falling into the hands of unscrupulous

smugglers.

Im here to work together with the people who had to leave their countries for whatever

reason, Mensing said through a loudspeaker.

Were fighting together.

Were not here to give anyone papers and were not here to give anyone food.

However, as this March 8 tweet shows, PSF set up a dedicated Paypal account weeks in

advance for donations for the migrants.

The video of the horde is making headlines here in the United States.

Actor James Woods responded to this threat this weekend calling on the #RepublicansWithoutBalls

to do something.

6 Causes of Neck Pain You May Not Be Aware Of - Australia 365 - Duration: 8:14.

6 Causes of Neck Pain You May Not Be Aware Of

Neck pain, also known as cervicalgia, is an uncomfortable symptom that tends to be produced by the muscular contraction in this area of the body.

It starts with a strong sensation of tension and stiffness, which often makes normal head movements difficult when doing daily tasks.

Its normal for those who live a sedentary lifestyle, but it can also occur among those who work a desk job or those who do physical activity that requires a lot of force.

While it isnt serious and usually comes about sporadically, its essential that you identify the causes of neck pain so that you can combat it and avoid other complications.

Keeping in mind that many people dont know the habits that can influence its appearance, we want to continue by sharing the 6 main ones.

Spending a lot of time in front of the computer.

Do you suffer from neck pain when you spend a lot of time in front of the computer? If so, you should keep in mind that the posture your body takes while performing this activity can be responsible for this symptom.

This is because the muscles in the area get tired and tense up, especially when you stay in the same position for a prolonged period of time.

Suggestions.

Keep good posture while sitting and, in addition to this, take periodic breaks to stretch.

Elevate your computer screen to a height that doesnt require you to bend your neck.

Using mobile devices incorrectly.

One of the reasons that the number of patients with neck issues has increased is due to the extended and incorrect use of mobile devices.

These devices, including phones and tables, cause us to adapt inadequate posture for long periods of time.

As a result of this, the neck muscles tense and are more susceptible to injury.

Suggestions.

Limit the use of these devices as much as possible.

If you cannot disconnect yourself, make sure that youre using them correctly, without hunching your body too much.

Do strengthening exercises to reduce tension.

Having bad posture while sleeping.

Good, quality sleep allows us to relax our muscles to prepare ourselves for a new day.

However, if we have poor body posture while sleeping, its very probable that you will increase neck and back pain.

Suggestions.

Keep in mind that, to get rid of these issues, your neck should stay aligned with your spinal cord, regardless of if you sleep on your side or facing up.

Your head shouldnt be too elevated because this increases the probability of injury in this area.

Putting too much weight in your backpack or purse.

Be careful! Even though packing your backpack and purse is a daily thing, doing it incorrectly can be one of the causes of neck pain.

Carrying them poorly, or adding too much weight to them, can bother the muscles in this area.

Suggestions.

Avoid packing your bags with too much weight, especially if you have to carry it for an extended period of time.

Dont carry your backpack on just one side of your body.

They should not weigh more than 10% of your body weight, especially for children.

Smoking.

The toxins in cigarettes dont just negatively impact your pulmonary and cardiovascular health, but also, with time, interfere with your muscular health.

They impede the oxygenation of your muscles and increase dehydration and muscle pain.

Their accumulation in the body can deteriorate the disks in your back and body.

This increases your risk of a herniated disk, neck stiffness and muscular and articular debility.

Suggestions.

Try to quit your smoking habit as soon as possible.

Use detoxification methods to help eliminate the toxins that have accumulated in the body.

Avoid exposing yourself to environments contaminated by cigarette smoke.

Doing ab exercises incorrectly.

We cant deny that abdominal exercises have a lot of benefits for our body.

However, if you do them incorrectly, they can be a cause of neck and back pain.

Even though at first you may not notice it, the muscles that surround the neck can be bothered by putting force on this area.

Suggestions.

Center the physical force on your abdominals and not on your neck.

Keep your gaze upwards.

Keep space between your chin and your chest.

Do you have constant neck pain? If so, its possible that one of these daily habits is influencing its appearance.

Try to take the necessary measure to reduce it and, in addition to that, try to exercise in order to strengthen and support this area.

John Harrison - British Horologist John Harrison's Fast Facts You will Like to Study. - Duration: 1:47.

John Harrison was born on this day in 1693 at Foulby, Yorkshire in England and he passed

away on March 24th, 1776 in London.

John Harrison was an English horologist who invented the first practical marine chronometer,

which enabled navigators to compute accurately their longitude at sea.

Harrison, the son of a carpenter and a mechanic himself, have become interested by constructing

a correct chronometer in 1728.

Numerous unlucky disasters at sea, brought about ostensibly by way of poor navigation,

precipitated the British government to create a Board of Longitude empowered to award £20,000

to the primary guy who advanced a chronometer with which longitude may be calculated inside

1/2 a degree on the stop of a voyage to the West Indies.

Harrison completed his first chronometer in 1735 and submitted it for the prize.

He then built 3 more instruments, every smaller and extra correct than its predecessor.

In 1762 Harrison's famous No. 4 marine chronometer became found to be in mistakes via only 5

seconds (1 1/4′ longitude) after a voyage to Jamaica.

Although his chronometers all met the requirements set up by way of the Board of Longitude, he

changed into no longer offered any cash until 1763, whilst he acquired £5,000, and no longer

until 1773 was he paid in complete.

The simplest characteristic of his chronometers retained with the aid of later producers was

a tool that keeps the clock running whilst it's far being wound.
