Marble Cake Recipe - Duration: 13:01.
In this video I'm sharing with you how to make an outstanding marbled cake
using my homemade chocolate buttermilk cake and my vanilla or yellow cake
recipe. Yiu'll see one way to fix a lopsided cake and fill the layers with a
simple whipped cream with sliced peaches.
I'm going to show you today how I make a marble cake. First make sure that you
prepare your pans ahead. Now I do have a video on preparing cake pans, but I will
just tell you what I do, I put Crisco shortening around the entire pan, and you
can use a spray if you want, and then I put a little dusting of flour in there,
and I get all the excess out, and then I cut a piece of wax paper to fit the
bottom. And that way your cake is guaranteed not to stick. Now I made two
batters I made a yellow cake and I made a chocolate. Now the chocolate is on my
channel. It's my chocolate buttermilk cake. The yellow cake is not yet on my
channel. it's on my website weddingcakesforyou.com and you can also use my one
two three four cake which is also called vanilla cake, and it's also called my
wedding cake recipe. So the first thing you want to do is is fill your pans a
little bit with the yellow or the white cake whatever one you decide to use.
And you're going to do that for each cake.
And I do get a lot of questions about marble cake, so hopefully this will help.
Then I'm going to take the chocolate then I'm just going to put a little bit
in there.
And I'm gonna take a knife,you can use a spoon or a knife, I'll use a spoon. And
just run the spoon through and swirl the chocolate.
Don't overdo it though, because you don't want it to be too muddy. That's good.
This pan was a little bit less full so I'm going to use the rest of the white in
here.
So that's what it looks like, and I'm gonna pop it in the oven. In this case
I'm gonna do I used 325 most of the time with my oven
for my cakes and it's a convection oven. And bake those until they are somewhat
firm to the touch. So as you can see when I push down on it it bounces back a
little bit. And you can also use the toothpick method which is you put a
toothpick in the center and if it comes out clean that means your cake is done.
I'm going to add a little more chocolate to this one.
Okay here we go. I'm gonna pop them in the oven. Cakes are
done. Here's what they look like when they come out. Beautiful. Now if it sinks
a little bit like this one here is sunk in a little bit, it's fine. If it was
sunken deep then I would worry but it's fine. These are going to be delicious.
For the marble cake I'm using a whipped cream and a peach filling. I'm
using some peaches that I got at the grocery store in a jar and I'm gonna go
ahead and strain out the juice. The peaches are not in season right now so I
went with the nice,, I went with a really good-quality cling peach that's already
sliced and stored in syrup. I'm gonna set that aside. For your whipped cream
simply just put your whip on there. This is for a ten inch cake.
I'm going to go ahead and do the whole two cups it's gonna be probably more
than I need.
About a half, I have 1/3 cup of sugar here confectionery sugar. I'm gonna put
like half of that in there and a little bit of vanilla. I'm just gonna put a
couple of dollops in there and whip that up. I tasted it and it needs more
sugar so I'm putting the full 1/3. I just cut my peaches and what I did, sorry the
camera wasn't on and I thought it was. I just cut them in, here's what the
original thickness was, and I just cut them in thirds basically, lengthwise. and
then I just cut them in half. So here's the size and the thickness that I want
for these peaches. I cut this one out of a bigger board because
I didn't have any in the house. Got my cakes here. So the cakes
were frozen, there's they're not solid frozen they're just very very chilled.
They're a little bit frozen but not completely. They've been in there
overnight. I'm gonna leave them as a thicker layer and just do one thick
filling. And the sticky side is gonna go down. This is the sticky side that's on
top and it's now at the bottom. You can always go back in trim if you need to
trim the cardboard which I will probably do.
I'm just gonna get this one ready. Just gonna see how this might best fit. My
cakes came out a little uneven. So that looks pretty good right there. And what I do
a little trick, this is kind of a little tip, it's still not perfect. Let me see if
I can get that better. It's definitely lopsided. In a case like this I would
either trim the cake or I would add a little more butter cream on the side
that is off, which is what I'm gonna do, So just to mark it I'm just gonna put a
little line here with the knife.
Little notch. this is where I want it to be. Where I want to match it up. Okay so I
have my... You want to put buttercream into a pastry bag. I'm using a I think it's a
4B tip so any kind of a big tip you don't have to it doesn't have to be a 4B.
It could be just a round tip and you're just going to put a border all the way
around. Now I'm going to make it I'm going to come back around make it even
thicker on this side because I have a little bit of a lopsided cake here. And
then I'm going to fill. So you want to fill this area here with whipped cream.
Alright I'm gonna make this a little higher because I want to put more
whipped cream in there. And this dam will help keep the whipped cream in place.
So I've got my notch I'm going to line them up.
And look at that came out nice and straight.
So here's the finished cake. I'm working on creating a tutorial on how to do
these textured buttercream paintings on the side of a cake like this one and

guys remember you first of all go ahead and wet your skin first before he uses
baking soda and it's its base mixture
then scrub it, use on your chin area your nose don't over scrub it too hard
but do this on your chin area and your nose where you have blackheads wait your
blackheads are whiteheads are disturbing you
probably very well to get rid of blackheads and whiteheads it's copy for
about two minutes to five minutes depending on how much it is on your face
I say I doing doing this hey I don't doing this rinse it off so guys I went I
on my hand just one you do have to leave it in your face or in so this method
will help you get rid of whiteheads and blackheads instantly it is very easy to

Roasted Shrimp and Avocado Salad ~ Cool Summer Salad Recipe ~ Noreen's Kitchen - Duration: 5:07.
Hi everyone and welcome back to my kitchen today
We're gonna take those roasted shrimp that I showed you how to do in a previous video
And we're gonna make this amazing shrimp and avocado salad
This is perfect for any day of the year
But especially nice in the summer when you all you want to do is cool off after a long hot day
This is a full meal in a bowl
Let's go see how this all comes together
Okay, we're gonna make this really fantastic shrimp and avocado salad it's gonna. Have a little bit of sweetness from agave in our
Cilantro and lime vinaigrette that we're gonna build right in the bottom of the bowl everything it's gonna get tossed together
Super fresh super delicious you could make this in advance and have it for a couple of days in your fridge
There is no lettuce in this salad and that is one of the things I love best about it
because honestly
I love a salad that has zero lettuce in it and
Lately there has been a like a scare with the lettuce so no lettuce
Means no scare so easy so what we're gonna
Do is we have two pounds of cooked shrimp I?
roasted this shrimp in the oven and I showed you how to do that in another video that I will link here in the I
box as well as the information box below the video we're gonna build this salad with two avocados that I have cubed a
handful about a cup or so of
Heirloom tomatoes that I just quartered I have a couple of Persian cucumbers here that I cut in half and then
Chunked up I have
About a quarter of a red bell pepper half of a sweet onion
And I have two limes here and some cilantro that I've chopped up and we're gonna go ahead and we're gonna get started on our
Vinaigrette, I'm gonna squeeze the limes in here
And this is just gonna give it a really nice vibrant fresh
dressing and if you are interested in my
My lemon squeezer, it's a citrus squeezer. You can you as long as it fits in here you can squeeze anything. I've squeezed
Tangerines and mandarin oranges lemons limes whatever you like go right in there
I'll leave a link down below where you can find one very similar to it. I'm gonna add a couple tablespoons of agave
About a quarter of a cup of cilantro, and then I'm going to take the cooking liquid from roasting my shrimp
Which has a quarter of a cup of olive oil as well as the juice of one lemon?
And I'm just going to whisk this together the shrimp is already seasoned with some seafood seasoning like Old Bay style
My own, if you need salt or pepper add it to taste in yours now
I'm gonna just take all of my veggies and I'm gonna pop them in the bowl
Along with my shrimp quick and easy
Then I'm just gonna toss this gently so that I can incorporate everything together this looks absolutely gorgeous
What a wonderful lunch for yourself for your family if you're having friends over for a luncheon or maybe you're having
You're in charge of feeding the church ladies one Saturday afternoon
This is an excellent salad to serve them because it's a full meal right there on the plate and all you have to do is
Maybe add a roll or some crackers or something like that boom salad is done
We're gonna give it a taste touch lovely mmm taste the shrimp and the avocado together. That's really good
Mm-hmm the avocado lends a little creaminess to it
And it's just fantastic how easy was that and that is how you make my version of a roasted shrimp and avocado salad?

[Narrator]: Candidate Donald Trump meant different things to different people.
To his supporters, he was the only one who could "give them back their country."
To others, Trump represented everything that was wrong with American politics.
He was a polarizing candidate, and it was sometimes hard to to pin down what exactly
he actually stood for.
This was especially true of his views on LGBTQ+ people, whose votes he lobbied for fiercely
while simultaneously surrounding himself with numerous anti-LGBTQ cabinet and staff.
Fast forward to July 26th, 2017, when Trump announced on Twitter that he would be forbidding
transgender people from serving in the military, citing "medical costs" and "disruption."
Despite claiming to have consulted with generals and experts, the Pentagon and Department of
Defense learned of the policy shift only after Trump tweeted it.
And though it has seen multiple revisions over the past year, the policy is currently
being prevented by the courts due to being, well, illegal.
But what has remained constant is some of the rhetoric used by the administration and
its supporters to try to justify the ban; rhetoric that is often misrepresented, misinformed,
or even sometimes hurtful and wrong.
Some of the more commonly repeated of these "myths" are as follows.

And those are just some of the things that people are saying, though most others aren't
even worth addressing.

If you're watching this in my anthropology class, I recorded this merely hours ago because
I was stupid and couldn't figure how to sync up the audio between my mic and camera.
In my lap is my cat, and on my desk is my roommate's cat, cause neither of the cats can

Anyway, suffice it to say there's nothing about being transgender that would prevent
someone from serving.
Now, why should you care that he's trying to pass a transgender ban, or trying to do
stuff like this in general.
It might not affect you, and it's not like he's gotten this one passed anyway.
Well, I'm of the opinion that any time a government tries to take away rights from people, or
opportunities, just because they're different or they don't understand them, that's not
right.
And complacency is how these sort of things get passed.
If you don't do anything, they'll just get it passed because no one cares.
And what can you do about it?
Well, other than obvious answers like "vote" and "call your senator and get ignored by
Todd Young because apparently he doesn't like speaking to constituents," you can educate.
Now, I don't mean sit your friends down and give a sermon, but a lot of people haven't
been really exposed to this subject and they don't know a lot about it.
So, if someone doesn't know a lot, and you do, or if someone's spouting one of these myths
and you know them to be false, go ahead and let them know.
Go ahead and educate.
And some people might be unreasonable, might be unwilling to listen to logic.
I don't like them putting chemicals in the water that turn the freakin' frogs gay!
Do you understand that?

All that is required from a person is that they fulfill as much of their potential as

People should not compare themselves to each other, but rather, people should compare themselves
