Hello everyone.

This is my special Q&A video for 7,500 subscribers!

I'm from Hong Kong, which is here.

My mother tongue is Cantonese,

although I also know English and Mandarin quite well.

Well the short answer is 14 years.

I first started learning the piano when I was 7.

It took me 5 years' time to pass Grade 8 Piano Exam from ABRSM, and then one year after that

for [Grade 8] Music Theory, and then for a few years I tried to enroll in the diploma

for piano... which I failed (twice).

So...

I switched to pop music instead, and that's how I got here.

For transcribing I would say you need two things.

The first is music theory, because you need to know how do notes sound together, whether

the harmony is right, how do chords progress from one to another.

The second thing is about experience.

It's from the years of playing the piano, and learning music theory.

Just like how reading more novels make you a better writer, by playing more music and

listening to different kinds of music, you know how different composers write their music.

You also have more ideas when you transcribe.

The software is called Synthesia, and it's available for Windows and Mac.

It depends on the length and difficulty of the song.

Sometimes it takes two weeks, sometimes it takes two days.

It's impossible to pick one, so I'm going to put up a list here.

Again, I don't have one particular favorite song.

So...

I would say...

For Western music, I like songs by Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith.

As for anime music...

I play CSGO, I play Overwatch, I play PUBG, and maybe a bit of Hearthstone.

I'm very careful about opening song requests because I don't want to make any promises

I can't keep.

Through some simple and painless exams, you can detect cancer in time and prevent it from spreading to other organs in your body.

In the case that you come to have these symptoms, we recommend that you dont panic, since its not necessarily true that you have cancer.

This is simply a guide to signals that could alert you so that you pay attention to certain signs and see your doctor if you find them.

Your doctor will have routine exams that will let you know for sure if you have cancer or not.

If you do have positive results from the test, you still shouldnt despair.

In this case, you should feel fortunate that you were able to detect the disease in time and that your treatment should now be easier and more effective than it would have been if the disease had progressed further.

Rapid weight loss, without apparent reason.

If you lose a significant amount of weight, without any reason, and you havent made any diet or exercise changes recently, you should make sure to go to your doctor, because this is a signal of possible pancreas, stomach, esophagus, or lung cancer.

Mouth ulcers that dont heal.

If you suffer from frequent mouth ulcers on your lips and gums, and they persist for more than three weeks, you should talk to a doctor, because although these types of mouth ulcers are quite common, ones that last longer than two or three days are a cause of concern.

When these mouth lesions stop healing quickly, its a sign that there is a serious irritation on your mouth tissues which without a doubt should be treated.

Frequent fevers.

The majority of people who suffer from any type of cancer suffer from fevers regularly, especially people who have some sort of cancer that affects the immune system.

You should keep in mind that everybody has fevers from time to time, it only becomes a problem when theyre very frequent.

Frequent abdominal issues.

The abdominal issues could be pain, swelling, a sensation of fullness, change in your intestinal habits such as frequent diarrhea or constipation without an apparent reason, rectal bleeding, or streaks of dark-colored blood in your fecal matter.

You should consult with a doctor about any of these symptoms because even if it isnt intestinal cancer, they are all indicative of some sort of problem.

Permanent cough.

If you have a strong cough that persists longer than two weeks, whether it is a dry cough or if it comes with expectoration, or if you there are any spots of blood in your phlegm, or if your voice is rough and scratchy regularly, you could potentially have lung cancer.

If you notice any of these symptoms you should go to a specialist immediately.

Skin changes.

If you notice any changes in the cover of you skin, any spots that you did not have before, if you notice new moles or changes in the moles that you have, strong itching, spots of dead skin, or any unprovoked bleeding, or any unusual changes in your skin, you should consult with a dermatologist as soon as possible, since skin cancer often starts in this manner.

Leukoplakia.

Leukoplakia is the appearance of white patches in the mouth or on the tongue that can be caused by frequent irritation, previous injury, or the consumption of cigarettes and alcohol.

These lesions should be treated as soon as possible, because they can develop into oral cancer.

Repeated, unusual bleeding.

Blood in the urine could be a sign of bladder or kidney cancer, blood in the feces could indicate colon or intestinal cancer, spots of blood in the phlegm could mean lung cancer, and an abnormally large or frequent amount of vaginal bleeding is a signal of uterine or cervical cancer.

Bleeding without cause could be the sign of oncoming cancer, but it could also be the sign of cancer thats already started, and so you should always see a doctor as soon as you spot any sign of a serious problem.

Enlargement or lumps in a breast.

These growths can appear for different reasons, and so its very important that you talk to a specialist when you encounter any kind of abnormality in this area of your body.

If you need to treat breast cancer, it has a far better chance of being cured the earlier that you treat it.

The exam to determine breast cancer is usually a mammogram, which is very simple, completely painless, and over in about five minutes, so you have no excuse for doing this exam every year.

How can we prevent cancer?.

The most important thing to keep in mind in the fight against cancer is to have a good diet, which is always rich in fruits and vegetables, in addition to eating foods that are high in fiber, which will improve your digestion and prevent colon cancer.

You should drink at least eight glasses of water a day, so that you can make sure that your kidneys are function correctly and avoid grave complications like bladder or kidney cancer.

If you choose to go outside for a period of time, even when the sun isnt shining brightly, you should always make sure to use a good amount of sunscreen, in order to avoid skin cancer.

Another way to prevent cancer, in whatever part of your body, is to pay attention to all of the signals that weve outlined above, because your doctor can give you the necessary tests and exams to determine if your problems are cancer or not, and they can give you the treatment that is sure to give you the best results.

Will Apps Become Obsolete? - Duration: 6:13.

Hey this is the Daily Overpass, my name is Eric and I make apps!

Now today, lets answer the question - will apps become obsolete?

Last week I was in a meeting with somebody, it was a technology person, and we were talking

about - I was telling her about Overpass and how me make apps and all that kind of stuff.

She said "oh really?

Is there are a real need for that?

Because apps are on their way out, right?"

And I said, "well, I don't know if apps are on their way out", and she goes "yeah, there's

a new one, what's it called...", and I said "progressive web apps...PWA's", she said "yeah,

that's the one.

I heard that's the new thing coming in".

So I said "yes, but most people don't know what that is, and everyone's going to the

app store.

And I do think PWA's will be big in the future but we're not there yet."

Hopefully we will get there because it sounds like a really good opportunity, but I don't

know.

Then she said "don't you think apps will be obsolete in the future?"

And this is not the first time I've heard this question.

People will say "do you think apps will become obsolete?"

Due to whatever...progressive web apps, or people are downloading them less over time

and all this kind of stuff.

It's difficult to answer that question because the whole company is Overpass Apps.

We make mobile applications, everything runs pretty well, there's lots of people who need

applications, and I always compare it to the web.

I can remember when people were saying that websites were dead.

Like, after the dotcom bust back in 2002, everyone was saying "oh, you missed your boat

on the million-dollar website whatever."

But websites still continued as the useful tools that they were.

You have a few big overnight successes...well not overnight successes, huge successes, but

you also have a lot of really useful things and we are much more tame when we think about

websites.

In apps, there's still a bit of hysteria about apps.

I still get people call me up saying "I've got this billion dollar idea!", and they wanna

share the idea with me and everything.

But, to be completely honest with you, do I think that apps will become obsolete in

the future?

If I had to say, my own self-interest aside, yeah i think they might do!

I think that apps may be obsolete in the future but we're not there yet.

So, we're working on this one application for one of our clients and they have a front

end and we deal with their API and everything like that.

So, I've been working on the app, or my team has been working on app, so we've been checking

the data from the API, we we make it change on the front end, all that kind of stuff.

But I didn't have access to the front end, so I said "actually can you send me a link

to the front end, because it would be good if we had a test system we could do this quicker

rather than have to go through you every time".

Standard stuff.

So they sent me an executable, like a windows desktop app. so I was like, man it's been

a long time since I've used one of those!

I had to run a virtual machine to run it, run the executable and everything like that

and I thought, I can remember doing VB6 apps for the desktop thinking "hey, the web is

really cool but it just can't do the things that a desktop app can do!".

I though there's some things the web is good for, but the stateless nature off it, the

fact that you have to submit and post back, all this kind of stuff, sometimes you just

need a desktop application.

Especially when you have lots of transactions and all that kind of stuff.

But over time, the web gets better and better at taking over some of the things that we

thought had to be done on desktop, and that might be the same with apps.

We're already seeing it with progressive web apps.

So I always do this thing with clients - I name the things that an app can do that a

website can't, you know, the local storers, the GPS, the camera access - all this stuff

is becoming available in PWA's.

So I do think at some point the app itself, unless you have something that's like a game

that needs high processing power or a lot of computing power and you need to be able

to write things close to the metal and everything, I think that's gonna be the case.

But we're not there yet.

PWA's are something that a lot of people don't know about.

I mean, we're still at the point now where I've had clients that were confused about

the fact that the app is not on the app store if you give them a PWA, if you explain it

to them.

And I've tried to explain what PWA's are to potential clients saying "you know what this

should be?

A website."

Because it takes space on the app store, they get 30%, it's hard to get approved, all this

kind of stuff, and they still wanna do the app.

They still think the apps are better.

but I think it's more of a public perception thing, i think we've all been trained by our

phones to go to the Play Store or to go to the App Store.

So, I do think apps will become obsolete in the future, I could be wrong!

Web didn't become obsolete, or sorry, desktop apps are still there, you still have desktop

apps, but not nearly to the case that you did before!

So that's just my opinion.

And also, the app stores are not like the web.

I always compare the two, I see a lot of similarities between the two of them, but the app stores

are owned by Apple, owned by Google, we're kind of at their mercy, and the web is free

and open.

Anyway, that's my opinion, what do you guys think?

For me, I don't think they're gonna be obsolete in the near future obviously, otherwise I

wouldn't wanna still be doing apps for clients, we wouldn't be more profitable now than we

have been in the last several years, but eventually I think it will be.

wearing my HTM faux suede boots all right absolute favorite ones and I'm

wearing this little bag right here that is from she in and I really love it the

only downside this it's like really loud and annoying but yeah that's the outfit

looks kind of formal I don't know but I really like the blazer and I think the

pants make it a little less nice-looking um so yeah I like it and I will talk to

you tomorrow hey guys so today is Tuesday and I'm

showing you my outfit for earrings I'm wearing just the same ones I wear all

the time so for my outfit today I'm wearing this right here I'm wearing a

plain white t-shirt just a basic shirt I don't really know where that's from the

lace shirt is forever 21 the skirt which definitely needs a steam because it's

very wrinkly this is from Target and the shoes are Zara I really love these

they're very easy to just slip in and yeah you could to go so that's today's

look and I will talk to you again tomorrow

earrings and I am wearing my mom's old necklace and then for my outfit today so

I'm wearing this dress today that is by kim chi blue I got that at

Urban Outfitters last summer it is a little more revealing I mean you could

also wear like a top or something but I don't mind this and I really love it

it's that green color and then it has like flower print all over like a wrap

dress and it also has like that burly kind of part which I like and also

excuse to mess in my room I just filmed a another video on like new fendi fendi

beauty products and yeah but for shoes today I'm wearing these sandal they have

like a tiny bit of a block heel these are old primax Andals and I just really

like them with the look and yeah that is it for what's today Wednesday

hey guys so today is Thursday and I quickly wanted to show you my outfit I'm

wearing the exact same jewelry I wore yesterday and today is the hottest day

of the year so far so it is 28 degrees Celsius I have no

idea what that is in foreign Hynd might be an 80s already but it's really warm

so I'm wearing this Zara white denim skirt and this top that is from princess

Polly boutique it's like a dark navy blue with white polka dots kind of looks

black on camera but it's blue and I'm also wearing the Fendi body lava today

again I really like this stuff and then for shoes I'm wearing these sandals that

I got from H&M a few years ago just like very simple white ones

kind of like a snake print going on but yeah so that is Thursday's look

hey guys some today is Friday and for my outfit today I'm wearing these bigger

forever 21 oops I'm also this bag so annoying I'm

also wearing just a plain white top and then these polka dot pants ended up from

forever 21 and I'm also wearing my Primark mules and then I'm wearing this

bag which is like really loud and annoying that's why I hold I'm holding

it and this is from she in I believe and yeah that's today's look hey guys so

today's Saturday I just got home from a birthday barbecue party and it's already

like 8:30 or something like almost 9 p.m. so it's getting like really dark

and I forgot to show my outfit earlier but to get it over with now

I'm wearing these earrings right here that I got from I think it was like she

in a couple of years ago but it went really affordable and then for the

outfit I'm wearing this little play suit right here that I think I got from show

PO or like one of those Australian websites might have been pop cherry

fashion I don't really remember but it was something else Raelian and at the

time when I ordered it they all had these kinds of places so this is like

definitely older as well and then I just worried some like sandals um and yeah

those are from a German shoe store yeah that is Saturday's look hey guys so

today is Sunday and it's the last outfit of this week for jewelry today I'm

wearing life to earrings jeez

and I'm also wearing a very blinding highlight today then I'm wearing this

Primark necklace it just has like a little coin I'm wearing my Marshalls hat

and for the actual outfit today I'm wearing this cute top that is from

forever 21 and then Schwartz they're like high-waisted shorts they're

from American Apparel and my shoes are from ASOS and then this bag which is

like really fun and cute it's like that Coralie color with some gold studs and I

just love the shape and the color so the back is nasty Elle and I just think it

adds a cute little pop of color to the very plain outfit so yeah love it with
