Ginger Tea Benefits Weight Loss, Fat Burning & Much More.
By LifeBuzzFeed.com.
Along with its delicious flavor, ginger is one of the healthiest spices in the world.
Originally from Asia, ginger has been used for its medicinal purposes for nearly 2,000
years by various cultures.
Today, the beneficial spice is making quite a name for itself here in the U.S. and rightfully
so.
Below is our list of the top 22 health benefits of ginger root.
Aids Weight Loss
Losing weight is one of the best things you can do for your overall health.
Did you know being overweight can lead to heart attack, stroke, high cholesterol, high
blood pressure, diabetes, and some cancers?
To help aid your weight loss efforts, incorporate ginger into your diet.
Ginger is a natural ingredient that's found in many "fat-burning" supplements.
It can speed up the metabolism, leading to calorie-burning.
It can also help keep you feeling full for longer, reducing your overall calorie intake.
Suppresses Appetite
Ginger may help keep you feeling full, suppressing your appetite and ultimately reducing your
daily calorie intake.
A 2012 study published in the journal Metabolism found people who drank a hot ginger beverage
containing 2 grams of ginger powder after meals reduced feelings of hunger for up to
six hours.
Helps Manage Blood Sugar Levels
Research out of Australia suggests that ginger can help keep blood glucose levels in check.
This is important because these levels have a direct impact on weight loss and weight
gain, as well as how energetic or lethargic you feel throughout the day.
If you've noticed that you're feeling a mid-day crash it's likely due to your
blood sugar levels.
Adding ginger to your lunch might help you stay focused and on task.
Think of ginger as an all-natural alternative to products like 5 Hour "Energy."
Relieves Tired Muscles
When you workout, your muscles naturally get tired.
One way to help speed up muscle recovery is to munch on ginger root.
Studies have shown people who eat ginger experience a significant reduction in muscle pain, allowing
people to get back to the gym in a shorter amount of time.
More workouts lead to increased lean muscle mass, which generally equates to natural weight
loss as you burn calories around the clock.
Boosts Nutrient Absorption
You probably don't realize, but when you eat a healthy meal you aren't actually absorbing
all of the beneficial nutrients.
Rather, people only absorb anywhere between 10-90 percent of the vitamins and minerals
in their food.
If you are looking to improve your health and lose weight, you'll want to absorb as
many nutrients as possible.
That's because nutrients can signal your hormones to let the body know when it's
full and keep your fat-burning system working in tip-top shape.
Ginger has been known to boost nutrient absorption!
Fights Cancer
Today, most people are affected by cancer in one way or another.
Chances are you know someone who is battling cancer or you may be fighting it yourself.
If that's the case, add ginger into your daily diet.
Several studies have found it beneficial in fighting lung, prostate, ovarian, colon, breast,
skin, and pancreatic cancers.
According to researchers, ginger's anti-cancer properties are a result of the compound 6-gingerol,
which is found in large amounts in raw ginger.
6-gingerol has anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor activities.
Adding ginger to your diet can help prevent new cancer cells from forming and destroy
active ones.
It's also beneficial for people who are already on cancer treatments since ginger
has been known to prevent the toxic effects of cancer drugs.
In a study with 744 cancer patients, ginger supplementation significantly reduced chemotherapy-induced
nausea.
Protects Against Alzheimer's Disease
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects the central nervous
system.
It accounts for nearly 60–70 percent of dementia cases in people over 65 years old
worldwide.
If Alzheimer's runs in your family or you are worried you may one day suffer from the
disease, you should think about incorporating more ginger into your current diet and daily
routine.
Research shows ginger can help slow down the loss of brain cells, which typically leads
to Alzheimer's Disease.
Additionally, some studies done on animals suggest the antioxidants and other powerful
compounds found in ginger can fight inflammatory responses that occur in the brain.
Other animal studies show that consuming ginger can protect against age-related decline in
brain function.
These findings weren't only reached in animal studies, though.
In one study, researchers gave 60 middle-aged women ginger extract or a placebo.
Researchers then evaluated the women's memory and brain function.
They found women who consumed ginger displayed "enhanced working memory."
Helps with Irritable Bowel Syndrome
IBS is a common disorder that affects nearly 25-45 million Americans.
Some symptoms include cramps, bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation, and mucus in the stool.
People who suffer from painful IBS will be happy to hear ginger can offer some relief.
That's because ginger can help relax the intestines during a flair up.
There are several ways you can consume ginger – add ginger root in your cooked dishes,
take ginger supplements, or brew ginger tea.
The good news is they all seem to have a calming effect on the digestive system.
Relieves Gas
Gas can be embarrassing at the wrong times.
While there are a wide variety of anti-gas products on the market, it's always best
to try the natural route first.
Ginger tea is easy enough to make and has been proven effective at relieving gas.
Drink a cup of ginger tea before you go to sleep to let it work its magic overnight while
you're sleeping.
It should act to clear out your digestive system and neutralize the problem from inside.
You can make your own ginger tea by adding one two-inch slice of fresh ginger root to
two cups of water.
On your stove, bring the ginger water to a boil and then let steep for about half an
hour.
Relieves Heartburn
Heartburn is the main symptom of acid reflux, or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD),
a common condition that affects nearly 50 percent of Americans.
Today, approximately 20 million Americans are taking an acid inhibiting drug to treat
painful heartburn.
There's a problem with that statistic, though.
Studies show certain heartburn drugs do more harm than good.
Instead of turning to drugs, drink ginger tea.
According to doctors, ginger has been found to have a gastroprotective effect, meaning
it prevents the loosening of the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) and blocks acid from regurgitating
back into the esophagus.
It also kills off harmful bacteria, such as helicobacter pylori.
This type of bacteria is linked to acid reflux.
For best results, it's recommended you drink one cup of ginger tea 20 minutes before a
meal.
Helps with Morning Sickness
Pregnant women might want to increase their ginger intake if they are suffering from bouts
of morning sickness.
That's because the ginger acts as a calming agent.
When compared to a placebo in clinical tests, participants who consumed ginger noticed significant
symptom relief.
Reduces Arthritic Inflammation
Ginger has powerful anti-inflammatory properties.
For that reason, it can help relieve a host of inflammation-based conditions and diseases.
That includes arthritis, a condition that affects millions of Americans.
Along with reducing inflammation, people with arthritis can expect some pain relief from
the ginger.
Opens Up Inflamed Airways
If you have asthma you have likely been scouring the internet for ways to help open up your
airways (ones that don't involve taking steroid-based medications).
Ginger has been shown to open up airways by reducing inflammation.
It can also relieve pain associated with asthma.
While researchers say ginger may not solve your asthma condition on its own, it can definitely
be used as part of a comprehensive approach.
Improves Circulation
Ginger can help thin blood, improving overall circulation.
As ginger improves blood flow, it can generate a warm feeling inside the body.
That's one reason many people enjoy sipping ginger tea on cold days.
Heals Frostbite
Here's a handy tip to remember if you ever come down with a case of frostbite.
You can drink ginger tea during your recovery process to speed up recovery.
Ginger will help to improve your circulation, which helps your body return the affected
parts back to their normal state.
You don't have to drink very much of it in order to get the desired results.
Just about 8 ounces a day is all that's necessary to have it work.
Stops Motion Sickness
Ginger has long been used as a natural remedy for motion sickness.
If you get car sick or sea sick then it's a smart idea to consume a little ginger before
you get in the car or boat.
Ginger is so effective at settling an upset stomach that it has even been shown to outdo
OTC medications like Dramamine.
It eases all of the accompanying symptoms of motion sickness, so you don't have to
worry about getting dizzy, feeling nauseous, breaking into cold sweats, or worse, puking
out the window or over the side of the boat.
Provides Pain Relief
Forget ibuprofen, try consuming ginger instead!
No matter what type of pain you're suffering from, ginger can act as a natural pain reliever.
Along with fighting inflammation that can cause aches and pains, ginger also works on
a hormonal level.
Consider starting your morning with a cup of ginger tea and see if you notice improvements
throughout the day.
Clears Sinuses
If you're looking for sinus relief without having to resort to an over-the-counter drug,
turn to ginger first.
There is an active ingredient in ginger that has shown to work wonders on the sinuses,
helping to unclog them and facilitate drainage.
All you need to do is brew a nice cup of hot ginger tea to get the benefits without the
use of medications with possible side effects.
Improves Your Breath
Unlike other foods like garlic, ginger can actually help to improve your breath.
Eat ginger toward the end of your meal so it can cleanse your palate and leave your
mouth feeling refreshed.
You can also drink it as a beverage mixed with simple hot water.
It's a great way to flush out your mouth and neutralize a bad taste in your mouth,
like the dreaded "coffee breath" from drinking coffee.
Increases Sex Drive
With an increased functioning of the circulatory system, it's no wonder that ginger has been
referred to as an aphrodisiac for thousands of years.
It didn't take long for people to make the connection between ginger and an extra pep
in the step!
The nice part is that it works for both sexes equally since it can increase circulation
in both female and male sex organs.
Boosts Immune System
Does it seem like every time you turn around you're battling another cold or illness?
If so, chances are your immune system is weak.
Your diet plays a large role in strengthening or weakening your immune system.
To keep your body's defense system strong, eat ginger.
Doctors say ginger can cleanse the lymphatic system, flush out toxins, and kill bacteria.
Protects Against Nuclear Radiation
Hopefully this isn't something you'll ever have to worry about, but it's still
good to know in case World War III breaks out.
People living near the Fukushima disaster area have given strong consideration to upping
their ginger intake with this news.
If you want to get the full benefits of this feature you'll have to have a daily dose
of ginger so it's in your system and stays there.
As you can see, ginger offers many benefits to protect the entire body.
So next time you go food shopping, don't forget to pick up some ginger root.
When you're selecting the perfect piece of ginger root look for the following:
The ginger should be firm to the touch The bigger the piece of ginger root the older
it is and the more pungent its flavor will be
No discolorations or soft spots
Whether you want to use ginger root in your cooked meals, brewed in hot water to make
ginger tea, blended into a smoothie, or pressed into fresh juice, you should be able to reap
its many benefits.
You can also get ginger supplements.
If you are buying ginger in supplement form, make sure to get an organic supplement that's
free of any fillers.

Mild winter weather in place under mostly sunny skies - Duration: 2:15.
A jacket was probably enough to keep you warm,...as conditions were unusually mild today.
Let's see what the weather has in store for us tomorrow by checking with Lee Jee-hyun
at the weather center.
Jee-hyun, temperatures have been too generous I heard some spring blossoms were already
in bloom in the southern parts of the country.
Right, the flowers, which do not usually appear until March, have been blooming way earlier
than usual du to the unusual mild conditions.
The ones you see next to me are apricot flowers which appear in early March, but made their
appearance yesterday in the southern port city of Busan.
In the meantime, some regions along the east coast are having wintry conditions with a
lot of snow.
A heavy snow advisory has been issued in the mountainous regions of Gangwon-do Province
with more snow expected until late at night, while Jeju Island will receive light rain
overnight.
Temperature-wise, we'll have similar readings as today,
Seoul and Daegu will have morning lows of one degree Celsius.
Mostly sunny skies are in store with the afternoon high in Seoul topping out at 8 degrees Celsius
while Jeju will get up to 12 degrees.
The higher than average temperatures will continue until next Monday.
That's Korea for you, here's look at the weather conditions around the world.

Ask the Vet - How to get a horse to drink water in the winter - Duration: 6:00.
SARAH: I know during the fall and winter it
is a lot easier for horses to become dehydrated.
Because of the cooler temperatures,
they aren't as inclined to drink their water as they
are in the hotter months.
This was the reason my horse got impaction colic last week.
Oh, that's a bummer.
It was a very scary experience, and I really
don't want it to happen again.
What are some ways to encourage horses to drink during the fall
and winter months and make sure they
stay hydrated, other than keeping
fresh water in front of them all the time
and providing a salt lick.
DR LYDIA GRAY: OK.
SARAH: Nobody likes colic.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Nobody likes colic.
So I was really tickled when I read this one because there's
a piece of research, it might be my favorite research ever.
SARAH: Oh.
DR LYDIA GRAY: I know, and we get to--
SARAH: I'm excited.
DR LYDIA GRAY: --talk about it today.
And we'll put it on the screen.
So because it's volume--
SARAH: An early Christmas for you.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Oh my goodness.
It's just the gift that keeps on giving.
So what this research says, and here's what I like,
it's been misinterpreted for years.
SARAH: A good myth.
We all love a good myth.
DR LYDIA GRAY: So there's a behavior group out of New
Bolton Center in Pennsylvania.
And they have this herd of feral or wild ponies.
SARAH: Oh, adorable.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Yeah.
And they said, we want to solve this drinking, winter,
cold issue question once and for all.
So what they did was they measured
if we give a herd of ponies warm water, do they like that?
Do they drink it?
And the cold water-- and what they found
was, horses, ponies, prefer-- drum roll-- cold water.
SARAH: What?
How cold?
Very cold?
DR LYDIA GRAY: No, like 40, in the 40s.
They like cold water best.
So if there's three buckets sitting cold, warm, hot--
they'll go to the cold.
SARAH: OK.
DR LYDIA GRAY: But they don't drink as much.
They'll take a sip of the cold, and oh, that was delicious.
If there is only-- take away the cold,
and now there's only warm water available-- they'll drink it,
and they'll drink more.
SARAH: How interesting.
I could see that.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Yeah, they prefer cold, but they drink more warm.
So the key takeaway from this research
is make sure your only source of water for the horse is warm.
And then, they will drink more.
SARAH: But if you provide both, they're
just going to keep sipping on the cold.
DR LYDIA GRAY: They'll drink a little bit of the cold.
And then, you could run into trouble.
SARAH: OK.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Isn't that fascinating?
SARAH: That's pretty cool.
DR LYDIA GRAY: It's kind of backwards to what we all think.
And it's backwards of what many people took
away from it, but the primary researcher,
every once in a while she comes out, and she goes, you guys,
you got this all wrong.
They prefer cold, but they drink more warm.
SARAH: They don't always know what's best for them--
DR LYDIA GRAY: They--
SARAH: --these horses.
DR LYDIA GRAY: --hardly ever know what's best for them.
SARAH: These horses and, I'm sure,
extremely adorable feral ponies.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Oh, yeah.
So I am so glad I was able to share that research.
SARAH: That's fantastic.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Yeah.
SARAH: I think that's awesome.
Is there anything other than a salt lick
that would encourage a horse to drink
more readily in the wintertime?
DR LYDIA GRAY: Most people know I'm not a fan of salt licks
because--
SARAH: I know, that's why I wanted to give another chance
to answer.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Yeah.
They were made for cattle.
And if you've ever been licked by a cow,
you know it's really, really rough.
Their tongues are like sandpaper.
SARAH: But also adorable.
DR LYDIA GRAY: But also adorable.
But horses don't have tongues like that.
And they don't enjoy licking a salt lick.
And they won't get the amount that they should.
Because the minimum requirement per day is one ounce.
That's about two tablespoons.
So imagine having to lick a hard thing that's
rough to get two tablespoons of salt. I mean I can't imagine,
but so, you can top dress the feed with salt.
Still not very palatable.
There are pellets made with tastier substances that--
SARAH: That sneak the salt in there too.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Yeah, and so, horses like them.
Our SmartSalt pellets.
You can also just go with electrolytes that
have sodium chloride in them.
So something like that will stimulate thirst in your horse.
It takes a while.
The mechanism is the salt goes in the body,
in the digestive system, and it draws water from the blood.
Then the blood becomes more concentrated, right?
Which sends a signal to the brain,
"I'm too concentrated, drink more and dilute me."
And that's how it happens.
Now, it doesn't happen in minutes.
It takes hours.
So we tell people plan at least four hours.
If you're going somewhere or whatever,
don't give salt and then immediately expect
the horse to be hydrated.
It takes a while for these feedback mechanisms to work.
SARAH: OK.
While we're on the subject of this,
can we bust one of my favorite myths?
Which is people think if you have a powdered electrolyte you
can just throw that in your horse's water bucket
and then he's drinking Gatorade, and he will
feel so refreshed and hydrated.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Oh and I even wrote down here
to make sure to say, if you choose to put your salt
or electrolytes in water--
SARAH: I didn't even know that.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Oh, yeah.
SARAH: I set you up perfectly.
DR LYDIA GRAY: No, I'm very-- I wrote it down.
SARAH: I'm very excited about this.
DR LYDIA GRAY: If you choose to do that,
you must provide a second bucket of plain water
with nothing in it, because otherwise you're
defeating the whole purpose.
You're giving them salt to cause them
to drink plain water to restore volume and hydration.
If the only fluid they have is super concentrated,
you're not really helping.
SARAH: You're just making them thirstier and thirstier,
and they drink more of the super concentrated salty water.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Yeah, so they're getting
more of the electrolytes, the sodium, the chloride,
the calcium, the phosphorus, magnesium--
all those things in there.
And what they need is more fluid.
SARAH: So if you're trying to proactively hydrate your horse,
consistent daily doses of salt in their feed, always the best
bet.
DR LYDIA GRAY: Yeah.

How To Naturally Increase Testosterone: 5 Weird Things I Do Daily For Higher Testosterone - Duration: 8:47.
Yo, what's going on?
Troy here.
MuscleTactics.com.
In today's video I'm going to cover five weird things that I do daily and some of you might
consider them a little bit weird.
But I do these things every single day to skyrocket my body's anabolic hormone testosterone.
Now testosterone is the ultimate anabolic hormone and besides increasing your muscle
mass testosterone has some incredible benefits that I all want you guys to reap.
So increasing your testosterone is also going to increase your energy.
It's also going to decrease your body fat.
It's going to increase your sex drive, increase your ambition, increase your confidence.
Step number one is I want you to pick up a pair of these hater blockers right here.
These in fact are called blue blockers.
Now, why is this important?
When you're staring at your computer really late at night or you're on your cell phone,
what you're doing is the blue rays, they come in from all electronic devices like your phone,
your computer, your TV, they omit these things called blue rays which are very negative on
your eyes and actually increase your cortisol levels and cause major disruptions in your
sleep.
Now if you know a thing or two about testosterone levels getting REM sleep, optimizing your
REM sleep cycle is one of the most crucial things when it comes to increasing your testosterone
naturally, so by wearing these for the last like hour and a half before you go to bed
- so anytime if I'm like say 30 minutes before I go to bed, I'm on my cell phone, I'm looking
at my emails.
I'm doing a whole bunch of shit on my phone.
I jump on my computer, typing away, staring at my screen, if I don't have these on, all
of those blue rays are just being penetrated by my eyeballs - talking penetration right
into my eyes causing my cortisol levels to spike and shutting down the amount of REM
sleep that I get, but for ten dollars - literally guys, these things were ten dollars on Amazon,
they're called Blue Blockers, completely shuts down the blue rays from all electronics and
I notice that I don't get headaches anymore because I've got lighter eyes, so my eyes
are more sensitive.
I never get headaches from staring at my screen.
And even when it's really dark and you're just staring at this bright iPhone screen
like it strains the shit out of your eyes.
This is going to actually reduce the headaches, reduce any type of eye fatigue that you get
from staring at those bright screens, so pick up a pair of blue blockers, increase that
testosterone.
Tip number two is intermittent fasting.
Now research has shown that intermittent fasting actually makes your androgen receptors more
sensitive towards testosterone, so doing intermittent fasting is a great way to increase the sensitivity
of those androgen receptors, secrete more testosterone in your body and also it's an
awesome way to decrease your body fat, so remember intermittent fasting simply means
you have an eating window and you have a fasting window, so at the minimum you want to have
a 16 hour fast every single day to really increase the sensitivity of those androgen
receptors, so just pack all your food into a small eating window.
You absolutely do not have to eat every 2.5 to 3 hours to maximize those testosterone
levels.
Try out intermittent fasting, get some blood work done and I guarantee you you will have
much higher natural testosterone levels.
Tip number three, ZMA plus Brazil.
Every single night within one hour of bed time I will want you to take three ZMA pills
and consume two Brazil nuts.
Now, zinc, magnesium and selenium these are three essential minerals that are so crucial
for high testosterone levels and they are three of the most common mineral deficiencies.
In fact magnesium is the number one mineral deficiency in the United States, across the
world in fact.
And magnesium levels can become really low from a lot of different reasons that's why
it's so common of a deficiency.
They can become low from excessive caffeine and stimulant use.
They can become low from even being really mentally stressed out, through consuming alcohol,
so there's a lot of different ways it can lower your magnesium level, but simply having
two Brazil nuts every single night which are super high in selenium and taking three ZMA
pills which is zinc, magnesium and vitamin B6, you can assure that you do not dip too
low on those levels and you can secrete the maximum amount of anabolic hormones.
Tip number four - sprint your way to alpha status.
According to AnabolicMen.com there are four different powerful research studies which
show just two bouts, two short bouts of high intensity interval training where you're firing
up your fast-twitch muscle fibers for just even four to six minutes, doing this twice
a week can absolutely sky rocket not only your testosterone but your DHEA and your human
growth hormone levels.
We're going to go into tip number five in a second, but I want you to think of it like
this - any extreme event that just forces your body so far outside its comfort zone
that it's forced to adapt, that's going to increase your testosterone levels.
So tip number five I'm going to get into these different forms of exercise and a few other
outside-the-box things such as taking an ice bath and how it increases your natural testosterone
levels, but if you just think of it logically your body secretes testosterone out of survival.
Your body just doesn't secrete testosterone because it wants to, so when you force your
body into these powerful stages of adaptation where you're running for your life, so say
for instance you are running for your life.
You have a serial killer chasing you, you have a polar bear, whatever it may be and
you're running for your life, so you're running as fast as humanly possible, your body's going
to secrete more hormones out of survival.
I want you to kind of reverse engineer that because in the same respect, the more intense
form of exercise that you do and just the more intense - doing an ice bath which is
basically torturing yourself jumping in a bucket full of ice, that's going to also increase
your testosterone because your body''s trying to survive.
It doesn't want to freeze to death.
So tip number five, let me dive into all these different forms of exercise.
I actually have them on my phone because the list is rather long and I couldn't remember
the entire list.
So testosterone boosting training.
Now I'm going to get some heat on this, but every single day I want you to either do sprint
intervals or one of these things on my T-boosting training list.
I want you to do this every single day for 30 straight days if you're serious about really
jacking up your testosterone levels to the point where if you got some blood work, a
doctor would actually think you're on anabolic steroids.
So I in fact did this exact same routine last year.
I got my testosterone levels checked.
It was like a 1275 and the doctor assumed I was on a small dose of testosterone.
I want you to do one of these forms of testosterone boosting training every single day and even
if it's just one or two sets out of one of these exercises and keep in mind, some of
these you can even do at home, so between the ice bath, between the sprint intervals
and between the isometrics which you can do at home, you have no excuse not to do one
of these so barbell squat, barbell deadlift, any type of dumbbell or barbell pressing,
any type of dumbbell or barbell rowing, like dumbbell one armed row, barbell rows, sprint
intervals box jumps, leap jumps, excuse me leap ups, dumbbell squat jumps.
And then these are the ones you can do at home, dumbbell, oh no, wall sits until failure,
pushups until failure, upper arms and chest isometric hold, upper back and traps isometric
hold and quadriceps isometric hold.
All you have to do is do one of these things every single day even if it's only one or
two sets.
Do that every single day for 30 straight days and I guarantee you, you will have super high
testosterone levels.
And by the way the upper arm and chest isometric hold is just like going like this and tensing
and flexing that muscle for as long as you can until failure.
The upper back and traps is where you're like this where you're like pressing your traps
up and your upper back up and you're going to hold this isometric position for as long
as you can and then the quad you can go one arm at a time.
Like if you're sitting down you just squeeze the quad muscle for like 60 seconds.
It sounds super simple, but it is in fact really difficult.
So I want you to do one of these testosterone boosting training tricks every single day
for 30 straight days.
And keep me updated.
If you have the budget or you have an easily accessible doctor, you can get some blood
work, take your blood work before you do this and then take it right after, like after on
day 31.
Let me know your results and I guarantee you, you will have such higher testosterone levels.
Remember your body is an adaptation machine.
Force your body outside its comfort zone and you're going to be an anabolic machine.
I hope you guys enjoyed this video on five weird things I do daily to increase my testosterone
levels.

Daikatana (N64) - TAS testrun to E2M2 - Duration: 8:14.
Hello and welcome to the Daikatana TAS testrun!
I'm CoolKirby, and I will be providing commentary.
I first set the camera sensitivity all the way up.
This lets me turn faster, which I need for some tricks.
Looking at the ground reduces lag.
Looking away from shots and explosions also helps.
I use Ion Blaster shots to hit offscreen enemies.
Enemies give EXP, which upgrades my skills.
Speed is the most important skill.
Speed upgrades save 1 frame out of every 10.
The upgrade saves 3.38 seconds in this level alone.
And many more across the rest of the run.
This makes it worth the time cost to shoot enemies.
Cutscenes can be sped up by turning at the right angle.
Your position also plays a factor.
This button was pressed without turning toward it.
Most buttons require you to face them though.
That elevator may be skippable with straferunning.
It's faster to kill this robot than to lure it out,
and walk around it.
Then it also can't come back and trap you in the room.
This next weapon allows us to do a pretty major glitch.
The recoil from the blast lets us move at high speed.
Shooting through the wall seam skips that crawling section.
Weapon Boost can also let you jump more than twice as high.
The glitch makes short work of this elevator section.
This Weapon Boost jump skips 1/3 of the level.
You can't enter a door until it opens completely.
I use this down time to switch to my next weapon.
You can bunny hop with the Shot Cycler as well.
The Side Winder can do "poison" damage if your shot misses.
It does double damage compared to a direct hit.
Partial elevator skip here saves a couple seconds.
The infamous Door Guy section.
There are actually two of them in this mission.
There are many ways to slow this guy down...
but nothing you do will speed him up.
His movement is controlled by multiple timers.
This is likely so he won't become desynced from his path.
Still though, this whole section takes a long time - 45 seconds.
While I wait, I set up a Weapon Boost bunny hop,
which gives me time to boost again soon after.
This is the second Door Guy section.
While we wait, let's talk to this guy.
Oh boy.
Some frames were lost to entertainment here.
It'll be fixed in the next iteration.
You must be in a precise position to grab this ladder.
Elevator Skip here saves 200 frames (3.33 sec).
This is where I discovered straferunning.
It will be used for the rest of the TAS.
You can build up great speed by firing several times in midair.
The Shot Cycler gives you the biggest horizontal boost,
though it requires a lot of time to reload.
This makes other boosting weapons faster in some cases.
Some elevators let you jump on and off freely,
while others pin you to the ground as you ride up.
Both kinds can be sped up with Weapon Boosts.
This boost is the fastest way to reach Mikiko's cage.
A glitchy corner lets the cage take 68 damage at a time,
enough to take it out in two shots.
Now that we have full Shot Cycler ammo,
we must conserve it for later levels.
Ammo for E1 weapons is only available in E1.
And we will need 66 Side Winder ammo for a skip in E3M1.
In E3M2, we will get new weapons to boost with.
Until then, these two are all we have.
You can shoot with the Ion Blaster while keeping boost speed.
Because it has no recoil, it won't change your trajectory.
"Oh baby a triple!"
The button we pressed earlier is needed to finish the level.
It removes an invisible box blocking the Daikatana chamber.
We could Jump Boost to it, but we don't have Acro 4 yet.
So instead, we'll use our friend the elevator to get us there!
Nailed it!
The Trident is good for taking out tougher enemies.
It's also the best weapon against the E2M4 boss.
Two of the three blasts are enough to kill a skeleton.
You can get on top of this level, but it doesn't save time.
You need this coin to complete the level,
and it's faster to go down through this cave to get it.
E2 has many rooms with no ceilings.
This makes it ideal for Jump Boosts to skip over walls.
The last required item is in this big room.
With it, we can summon the boat guy and finish the level.
Even with the sensitivity all the way up,
Hiro still turns slowly in this cutscene.
My guess is the game switches to a separate camera
that's set to follow Charon's slowly changing position.
Both parts of this cutscene must be played.
The second always takes the same amount of time,
but the first part can be optimized.
Not-so-fun fact:
These cutscenes take up over half the TAS time for this level.
This is normally a long level with multiple cutscenes.
But with the help of our jumpy spider friend,
we can get on top of the level!
Now we can blast to the end across tops of ceilings and walls.
Mikiko: "What happened back there?"
Thanks for watching!

People & Facts - Jim Jarmusch - Duration: 12:06.
People & Facts
Hi! It's Nika again with you. How are you in this new year?
I hope you're doing great!
Today's episode will be dedicated to my friend Polina.
Today we're going to talk about one of the major
proponents of American independent Cinema; Jim Jarmusch.
Fact number 1
James Roberto Jarmusch was born on the 22nd of January
of 1953 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
His mother Betty before marrying Jim's father, Robert Jarmusch
was a reviewer of film and theater for the Akron Beacon Journal.
He has 1 sister called Ann and a brother called Tom
who's also a film director and actor.
The first movie Jim remembers seeing is the cult classic Thunder Road, he was only 7.
Also another big influence from his childhood was the TV Show character Ghoulardi.
Fact number 2
In his last year at Columbia University he moved to
Paris for a summer semester on an exchange program.
He ended up staying there for 10 months,
spending most of his time at the cinematéque
and working as a delivery driver for an art gallery.
After returning from Paris in 1976 he enrolled in
New York's University, Tisch School of the Arts.
In his final year at the univeristy Jarmusch worked as an assistant to the renowned
film noir director Nicholas Ray and released his first feature film Permanent Vacation.
Fact number 3
His second movie was released four years after his first one, Stranger Than Paradise was praised
by the critics, awarded many prizes and became a landmark work in modern independent cinema.
After the artistic success and critical acclaim of his movies in the
independent film community he achieved mainstream renown with his movies
Dead Man and Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai.
This last one is considered to be a homage to Le Samoraui
a French New Wave film by Jean-Pierre Melville.
Fact number 4
After Ghost Dog Jim had a creative crisis because
of the September 11 attacks in New York City.
After a 5 year gap he releases Coffee and Cigarettes, a collection of twelve short
films of characters sitting around and drinking coffee, smoking cigarretes
and talking about silly stuff.
Yes twelve, you heard it right! We found the one missing scene, let's watch.
- Do you want coffee? - Yes, I want, thank you!
- Sugar?
- No, thank you!
- What's this?
-What?
- You said you were not going to smoke anymore!
- This is the last pack I buy, sometimes I have to make a pause.
Can't be without smoking all the time.
- What? You know that a little cigar with coffee helps me calming down the stress.
- That doesn't calm you down, that kills!
- Kills? And coffee, doesn't harm you?
Do you know that it can cause dementia?
And if you drink at night, all your dreams pass by really fast.
- You are really stupid.
Jim Jarmusch spend 17 years shooting Coffee and Cigarettes, slowly
collecting the scenes with his favorite actors and musicians.
Fact number 5
Jim did a film appearance in the cult comedy of 1989,
Leningrad Cowboys Go America, where he plays the role of used car dealer.
Also he appeared as himself in Episode One of John
Lurie's cult television series Fishing With John.
Fact number 6
Jim is a founding member of the secret society;
The Sons of Lee Marvin.
Who's members look like they could be a son of Lee Marvin.
Fact number 7
Jarmusch also plays music.
He was the keyboard player and singer for the no-wave band The Del-Byzanteens.
He is a member of the rock band Squrl, they did a version of Wanda Jackson's song "Funnel
of Love" that's part of the opening scene of my favorite film "Only Lovers Left Alive".
Jim also released two studio albums in a collaboration with Jozef van Wissem.
Before ending, I don't know if you have asked yourself when
did Jarmusch got his first white hair. Here's the answer:
Thank you for watching our video. Tell us in the comments what's your

When a Kid ask What is S*x? | Awkward Questions Children ask | Wond3rJay Gameplays - Duration: 4:06.
Up Top lads, Happy New Year!
How are you doing today?
My name is Wond3rJay and today I just want to tell you guys a story about what happened
in December 2016.
So as you guys know I didn't post enough videos in last month i.e.
December 2016 and the reason for that was, I was visiting some people very close to me
to get my mind off from drastic questions like
"Why no one watches my videos?"
"Why my life is such a mess?"
"Why am I such a failure?"
You know!
Usual stuff.
So, I spend almost a week at one of my second cousin's, and one fine evening, my cousin
asked me to take her 12-year-old kid, my nephew to his private tutor's place.
So, what followed kinda makes it her fault!
I mean do I look like a good babysitter?
No.
I might make them drink lots of Mountain Dew and play Video games with me long past their
bedtime.
Anyways, So off we were to take this difficult journey to his private tutor, he trotting
by my side with his cute Pikachu bag and me… tweeting!
Too busy to mind anything else but that he is still with me and leading the way safely.
"Uncle Jay, What are those Dogs doing," he asked all of a sudden, I glanced up mindlessly
to two Canines bumping uglies, and then I blabbered.
"Oh they are having SEX"
Yup!
I said the "S" word in front of that poor kid.
You know Kids are like cages with a little bird called innocence confined in them which
parents try to keep locked there for as long as it is possible.
And right then what I did was "Opening the door of that cage and letting that bird chirp
away to never come back again" But that was not it, I was expecting confusion,
mistaken or a horror kind of expression on his face, he gave me a smirk, on that cute
but nasty face.
As this whole thing was some long thoroughly planned prank, in which he let the innocence
bird escape,
Or probably killed it, that evil brat!
planted an imposter to trap his uncle in the most embarrassing
position and the goof that his uncle is, fell into his trap dead straight.
"Uncle what is Sex?"
He didn't even hesitate to ask, with the vilest grin you can imagine.
"He just banged it hard on my face"
"He nailed it right in"
"He boned it for the answer"
"He drilled it really solid into me"
Ok you got the point
Needless to say, I kept walking down the road as if it didn't happen while he suppressing
laugh right next to me, and I didn't make any innuendo or dirty joke while rest of my
stay at their place, doesn't matter if he was around or not.
But that incident made me wonder if I ever became a parent, how will I tell my kid about
Birds and the Bees, when I don't even know in the first place, what the fuck Birds or
the bees have to do with human reproduction.
Tell me in the comments below how you told your kids about sex ed, or how your parents
told you about it, or both, whichever applies to you.
Let's roll the outro

Korea's anti-graft law: 100 days since implementation - Duration: 2:13.
Exactly 100 days ago, a historic anti-graft law went into effect in this country... bringing
drastic changes to Korea's decades-old conventions.
A little over three months later, our Lee Unshin takes a look at how the law has brought
about cultural, economic, and societal changes.
For many corporate and government employees, January is the time to send a gift like a
bouquet of flowers to friends and colleagues getting a promotion.
But this year, the flower shops aren't as busy.
"Since the anti-corruption law came into effect, we've seen a significant decrease in terms
of customers at the store and orders from businesses."
It's been more than three months since the landmark anti-graft act took effect.
The government's ambitious goal of wiping out bribery by limiting the value of meals
and gift that can be given to people working in key sectors like government, media and
education,... has caused agony for some small- and medium-sized businesses.
Flower shops and restaurants have reported a drop in sales since September.
Even department stores... are seeing more clients looking for modestly priced gifts.
"We're about 3 weeks from Lunar New Year, one of Korea's biggest national holidays.
This is the first time the country will celebrate such a major event since the anti-graft law
came into force. And that's had an impact, as you can see here...Instead of lavish presents,
modest gift boxes priced at under 50,000 won, or 42 U.S. dollars, are on display."
The cultural and economic changes wrought by the law, experts say,... are, for better
or worse, necessary to achieve a long-term goal.
"The economic pain that's hit certain businesses, though unfortunate, is unavoidable.
But one benefit of the act is that it shows how so many people have become mindful of
the fact that careless spending can amount to bribery."
The move to end corruption seems to have made some progress towards a more honest civic
culture.
But because of the struggle forced on some businesses, there are calls for follow-up
measures to limit the damage.
Lee Unshin, Arirang news.
