Waching daily Jan 6 2017

Hi Guys, its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today I'm going to show you how

to make Poinsettia Charms.

And these are really neat little flower charms that look just like a Poinsettia in whatever

color of Poinsettia style that you like.

And we're using these charms for pendants, ornaments, earrings or whatever kind of project

you'd like to make them with.

I've got them in White colors, Pink and Red, and they are super fun to make.

Now I think you're going to be surprised how we're going to make these.

Using a Paper Punch With Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-042-4) - Duration: 2:14.

Hi Guys, its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today I'm going to show you how

to make Paper Punched Polymer.

Now you may have never thought of this before, but you can actually use Paper Punches…in

all kinds of different forms, even the hand held ones, for punching out Polymer Clay.

And there's some really neat things that you can make with it, let me just show you.

Now I've got a little stack of pieces that I've punched out, so that you can see what

they look like once they're punched out.

But I used those little punches, in a variety of colors, to make a pair of earrings here,

Hoop Earrings where I've got them just loosely sitting on here which makes them very fun,

because you can interchange your colors or whatever punches that you have and they're

very playful, I wore them the other day and they were really fun.

I've also got a little bobby pin here where I've stacked some layers together, I've actually

put a little Copper rivet…we did that the other day, I riveted a little bead cap to

the center to make it into a flower shape and then attached it to a bobby pin finding.

I've also used these punched out paper Polymer pieces in a different way in this case, I

stacked them like a flower, pulled an eye pin through the center and threaded it through

a long filigree cone to get these earrings here, which have sort of a vintage modern

look…sort of a mix of between the two together.

And here's an idea that I sort of tossed around, I haven't worked on it further but I think

you could do some really neat things with knotting silk thread or hemp, like in this

case, and stringing these little pieces on to make curtains or necklaces and that kind

of thing.

So there's a lot of super fun things that you could do with this technique.

Now what you're gonna need is

Polymer Clay Dogwood Flower Pendants Tutorial (Intro Vol-044-2) - Duration: 0:47.

Hi Guys its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today I'm going show you how to

make Dogwood Flower Pendants, and these are my new favorite flowers to make.

I've got a couple of examples here, I've got them in both Pink and White, and that's the

natural colors that Dogwood Flowers come in.

And these have a very realistic look, they look just like the real thing hanging on your

neck and I just absolutely adore them.

Now they're not actually very hard to make even though they look like

Frosted Rainbow Beads Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-044-3) - Duration: 1:39.

Hi Guys, its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today I'm gonna show you how to

make Frosted Rainbow Beads.

And being a child of the 60's I have a softness in my heart for rainbows, so it's not too

surprising that I would want to make rainbows out of Polymer Clay.

Now, this is a really unique way of making rainbow colored beads, I've got a few examples

here.

Here's a set, first I'll show you that came right out of the oven, and it's in the sort

of ruffled bead style, you can make them in another version as well.

I made a bracelet here where I shaped the rainbow colored clay into little cubes and

then strung them on to a memory wire bracelet with some Mother of Pearl disks, and it has

a very, very pretty look.

Now, here I've strung some of the ruffled flower beads into a choker design…my daughter

has claimed that, and in between each little bead I've got a little glass bead to kinda

separate them.

Here's another necklace made with a little bit larger bead, and these are strung into

almost like a flower lei, and there's little Copper tube beads in between, and this is

a repeating rainbow.

They are actually quite simple to make, all you're gonna need is some

Red Clover Polymer Clay Flowers Tutorial (Intro Vol-046-1) - Duration: 1:32.

Hi Guys, its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today I'm going to show you how

to make Red Clover Flower Beads.

Now, the call came out from one of our members, Karen who had a desperate need for making

Red Clovers out of Polymer Clay.

And when I heard that she needed to this, my brain just started to get very excited,

because wild flowers are what I just love.

And when I was a little girl, I would lay in the grass and pull the little petals out

of the Red Clover and suck on them to get the sweet nectar.

So I just totally knew what I would do as far as making a Red Clover Flower Bead.

Now, Polymer Clay is so wonderful that you can get it to do just about anything, and

I've been able to get it to look just like little Red Clover Flowers.

Now, I've got a few examples here, some in the little bit more Purple way that the clover

can look, and some in a little bit more of the Red way.

I've also got a couple beads here that I made into a pair of earrings, and they are so pretty,

they have such a wispy, kinda feathery look to them.

And I think you're really gonna enjoy how to make them, they take some time but they're

not super difficult to do.

What you're gonna need is just a very small amount of clay

Your Inner Greatness! Happy New Year 2017 - Duration: 5:09.

Hello my friends. My fellow achievers and seekers.

It's Bryan here.

It's good to be with you again.

Happy New Year.

We're just under a week into the New Year and I want to know, how is your new year going?

Did you make any New Year's resolutions?

If so, how are they going?

If you're not a person that's made New Year's resolutions, why not?

Today I want to talk with you about something that I think is really interesting.

It's something that comes up for me when I coach people, is discovering things inside

of ourselves that we didn't know where there.

I was thinking about this this week because I came across an article on Time magazine's

website.

It was on CNN.com.

You might have seen this online as well.

It's an article that talks about how doctors and scientist have discovered a new organ

in the human body.

Now it's not that we've grown new organs.

It's that we've discovered that tissues that are in the digestive system actually

are their own organ.

Now Leonardo Da Vinci 500 years ago or so found the same tissue but he didn't classify

it as an organ.

And there's been some debate in the scientific community about whether or not it is.

But my point in bringing this up is how remarkable it is that in this day and age after how many

millions or billions of autopsies and dissections and anatomy text books and classes and doctors

who've been trained that we're now in 2017 discovering a new organ in the human

body?

Isn't that amazing?

It's called the mesentery.

As I said, you might have seen this.

It's all this yellow tissue.

Irish doctors have discovered that that is in fact one complete system.

It carries blood and lymphatic fluid between the intestine and the rest of the body.

But I didn't come here to give you an anatomy lesson.

What I came here to talk about is the fact that there are things inside each of us

that we might not have previously known.

We might not have believed.

We might not have been present to or aware of.

Not just organs, but capabilities.

Strengths.

Gifts.

Talents.

The potential to produce amazing outcomes.

To make extraordinary contributions.

That is inside of you right now.

It's inside of me.

It's inside of each one of us.

How remarkable.

How incredible.

Very often when life gets challenging, when life faces us with opportunities,

with problems, with chances to learn and grow and overcome

then that will come out of us but it's latent in us now.

What I want to know is what does it take to bring that forth today?

That's the idea of this New Year's resolution.

Again, if you didn't make resolutions, why not?

Maybe this is an opportunity for you to call forth more of your greatness.

More of that latent potential that's inside you waiting to be expressed.

Waiting to be shared with others.

My invitation to you, if you haven't already made New Year's resolutions, make one.

What is it?

What's one thing that if you did this year could change the entire quality of your life?

It doesn't have to be huge.

Maybe it's going for a walk every other day.

Maybe it's changing something in the way you eat.

Maybe it's changing the way you interact with social media.

Or television or something you do at work.

Something with another person.

Whatever it is.

It doesn't have to be huge.

It doesn't have to change your whole life.

But maybe it's that.

Maybe it's finishing your degree.

Maybe it's finishing a manuscript.

Maybe it's starting that new business that you've been thinking about for so long.

One last idea that I want to leave you with as you consider a New Year's resolution for

yourself.

If you had one word that you chose to guide you for this year.

Maybe even define you.

What would that word be?

Would it be confidence?

Would it be compassion?

Would it be strength?

Love?

Loyalty?

Joy?

Fun?

Curiosity?

Wonder?

Something like that?

Is there something that if you pick that one word you put somewhere where you would see

it.

Maybe your wallpaper of your phone.

Maybe on your bathroom mirror.

Maybe on the dashboard of your car, if you have one.

That will communicate something to you every time you see that.

It's something more for you.

What would that word be?

And does it align with you New Year's resolution?

If you accept those invitations, the New Year's resolution, maybe picking a word to guide

you or even define you for this year.

If you do that, let me know what it is.

Share with me either in the comments below or message me.

Communicate with me.

I'd love to hear from you.

If there is anything I can do to be of service to support you

to produce those outcomes in having the life you want

please let me know that too.

I always love to hear success stories.

By all means, when you get one of those please share that with me.

I'd be honored.

With that, I thank you for spending these few minutes with me.

As I said at the outset, I hope you're having a wonderful

New Year.

I hope this is the best year ever!

Take care. I'll talk to you again real soon.

Much love.

Liver Of Sulfur Metal Patina Tutorial (Intro Vol-044-1) - Duration: 1:40.

Hi Guys, its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today I'm gonna show you how to

use Liver of Sulfur to get a beautiful patina on your metal projects.

Now in a previous tutorial, we learned how to make these fancy Rose ear wires, and they

have a beautiful vintage look if you use a Liver of Sulfur to get a nice, rich patina

on it.

I've got a couple of other examples here, here's the… that was in Silver here, these

ear wires, this is in Copper.

And to show you an example of what it looks like without the patina, here's a Silver…here's

with a patina, here's without the patina, so it's quite a bit brighter without the patina,

but a lot of the details are lost, and that's what's wonderful about using Liver of Sulfur.

Same with using it on Copper and a textured piece.

On this piece here…this Copper cuff that I had made and put the Pirate Cane on and

riveted it on, it has some texture on the inside and if you don't use a patina on it,

that texture is kind of hidden, so using a patina is perfect for that.

I've got a couple of other little pieces here that we're going to use for examples.

Now, liver of sulfur is a fairly easy product to use, but it has a few tips and tricks and

some safety things that I will talk to you about.

Polymer Clay Celtic Heart Necklace Tutorial (Intro Vol-045-4) - Duration: 1:13.

Hi Guys, its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today I'm gonna show you how to

finish and complete your Celtic Heart Necklace.

Now in a previous tutorial I taught you how to make the Celtic Heart shape.

Then I showed you how to make a faux wood grain and then a Veneer to cover your Celtic

Heart with, and here is the baked piece that we finished from last time.

Now, what I wanna do in this tutorial is show you how to finish the piece and turn it into

a necklace.

Now, if we just stopped here, it would be a disappointing project, you can tell by looking

at this piece here that it's just not quite finished, and that's what a lot of beginners

do, is they get to this stage…which I often call the ugly stage of any project, and then

they get discouraged and quit.

Now you're only about 10% away from having a really beautiful project if you just finish

it properly.

Now we've got a piece here that

Mirror Image Polymer Clay Hearts Tutorial (Intro Vol-044-4) - Duration: 1:37.

Hi Guys, its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today I'm going to show you how

to make a Mirror Image Heart. Now, you may have seen some Mirror Image techniques done

before, sometimes they're called Natasha Beads for a woman named Natasha who designed this

idea.

But you may not have seen them done in a heart shaped form before, and I've got quite a few

examples here.

First one I'm gonna show you is a pendant that I have hanging up on a chain here, and

you can see the Mirror Image in the center here.

And I've got several other designs, here's one that's similar to the way this one's strung,

it's got a Silver Plated bail at the back.

And what's unique about these beads is that it's got the Mirror Image on the front, but

then it's got this neat shape at the back, and it has a bit of a camouflage look.

And no matter what kind of color choices you have, you get a very unique bead every single

time.

Now I've done all of these in a sanded and buffed finish except for these 3 here which

I added a layer of resin on the top, which gives it a really glassy look.

Now, it's very simple to do and you can use whatever color combination you want, in fact,

you can use scrap clay or even scrap canes.

Fancy Rose Earwires Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-043-4) - Duration: 1:41.

Hi Guys, its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today I'm going to show you how

to make some Fancy Rose Ear wires.

Now when you're making a lot of Polymer Clay beads, sometimes you need to make them into

jewelry pieces, and it's really a nice thing to be able to make your own ear wires.

And these are very special 'cause they look like little roses on the end of the ear wire,

I've got a few examples here.

Here's a pair done in Copper.

Here's another pair done in Copper but this one has Liver of Sulfur antiquing on it.

Here is a pair done with a Rose-y colored Niobium wire.

I've also got a pair here in Silver and in Copper, and I've made these earrings here

with the Rose ear wires in kind of a rose theme.

This particular pair have been made with a bead that we made in a previous tutorial,

made with real rose petals, and it actually has a little dagger bead underneath made with

Rose Quartz, so it has a real rose theme to it.

And then I have another pair here done using a cane made from a previous tutorial, the

Shaded Rose Cane.

So this is a beautiful pair here and it's got a nice little Bronze Disc in the center,

so this is a really neat technique to know how

Faux wood Polymer Clay Cane Tutorial (Intro Vol-045-2) - Duration: 1:47.

Hi Guys, its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today I'm gonna show you how to

make a Faux Wood Cane.

Now Polymer Clay is awesome at imitating all kinds of different materials, and it does

a beautiful job of creating wood grain and I've got a few examples here.

Now, last week I showed you an example of a Celtic Heart pendant that had a Wood Grain

technique on it.

And I also showed you my daughter Willow's wonderful love spoon that looked like it was

carved from a single piece of wood.

Now, you can do the wood grain in a lot of different color ways.

Here's another example of a little wooden heart or Faux Wooden Heart and it looks like

it was carved from a little piece of wood.

I've also used Faux Wood technique on a project here, this is my son's little pocket knife

and it originally had the Red plastic cover on it, but it cracked and had become not usable

because it was too rough looking, so I decided to put a Faux Wood piece here in the front,

and put his initials in.

I actually used rubber stamps for that but it looks like it was actually carved, and

I did it in a darker wood finish kind of an oak look, and on the back side, I did an even

darker finish that looks a little bit like a Black Walnut.

So you can do this technique in a lot of different color ways, and you can use real wood examples

as inspiration.

Now we're going to do the technique in a light wood like a blonde wood

Polymer Clay Clover Flower Earrings Tutorial (Intro Vol-046-2) - Duration: 2:08.

Hi Guys, its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today I'm going to show you how

to make Clover Flower Earrings.

Now in a previous tutorial, we learned how to make these really pretty little clover

flower beads, and one of the things I want to show you this week is that this style of

bead will pose a few design challenges.

They are very pretty, but they have a few things about them that make them so that you

can't use them in every single situation.

For example, they are kind of fragile…I mean, they are not super fragile, I mean,

if you touch them, you can bump them a bit and they certainly aren't going to break when

you drop them.

But they wouldn't be very well suited for something like a bracelet where something

could catch on it, or they would be bashed around, they could end up getting broken.

Another thing is that, they are a little on the prickly side, so if you were to lay this

right next to your skin, say on your neck as a pendant, it would feel like you were

wearing a little prickle bush, so that isn't really the best situation for this style of

bead.

But that doesn't mean you shy away from making it, there are lots of gorgeous situations

that you can use these beads in, a perfect example would be a pair of earrings, and I've

got a couple of styles here.

One is kind of a more modern dagger style, and it's got a hammered section at the top

here, and a little hammered section at the base which suits the Clover Petals perfectly.

And I've got another style here that's a little bit more, I'd say a little more on the Bohemian

Style, 'cause it's got a Filigree Bead Cap, and a hammered round ear wire that has a little

bit more of a Bohemian Style to it.

Now, I know I've showed you how to make ear wires and things in the past, but I got a

couple of new things to show you and I thought you might really learn a lot from this.

Polymer Clay Celtic Heart Tutorial (Intro Vol-045-1) - Duration: 1:54.

Hi Guys, its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today I'm gonna show you how to

make Celtic Hearts.

Now Celtic Hearts are traditionally carved from stone or wood, and they're given to a

loved one to show how much you love them.

Now I've got a few examples here, I've got a couple made with stone.

This is a simple form that we're gonna do today, and this is a more complicated one.And

with what you learn from the tutorial, you'll be able to do some more complicated ones in

the future.

And then I've got some that look like wood…

like they're carved from wood here.

Now, let me show you what inspired it all.

My daughter, Willow who's 15, in her Media Art class had an assignment to take a traditional

art done in a modern way.

And you had to do a project that was representative of your heritage, so with some research, she

decided to make what is called a Love Spoon.

And in the Celtic Tradition, as well as some other European countries, it is a tradition

for a man to carve a spoon out of wood and then give it to his loved one like an engagement

ring.

And the nicer the spoon was, it would show how much more he loved the woman, and each

area of the spoon had symbols to represent different parts of their lives together.

Now a spoon showed comfort and cooking and love and that kind of thing.

For Willow, she made hers with Polymer Clay, and she did it in a Faux Wood Technique that

would make it look like it was all carved from wood.
