WHY YOU SHOULD START JOURNALING | self psychiatrist - THE BENEFITS OF A DIARY - Duration: 5:44.

alright so this year I recently started

journaling after all

eighty percent of successful people

utilize this little tool has a way to

keep track of their thoughts and another

form of therapy think about it

remember when you had an aha moment only

defined later that you forgot the

amazing idea

this is one of the benefits of

journaling yes you can use your phone

also for this but it takes away the

humanity of there is nothing more poetic

and artistic than writing with a pen and

paper while creating

maybe I'm just old-fashioned but I enjoy

the idea of sitting in a peaceful place

and just writing down my thoughts all my

senses indulge the feeling of the

charcoal hitting the surface of that

blank canvas is anyway going back

another benefit of journaling is it's

cheaper than a psychiatrist now the

journal won't give you important

feedback which is what you pay hundreds

of dollars for but most of the time we

know the answer we are looking for we

just have to read our dogs in an

organized fashion as our inner self

dictates what we are really feeling and

experiencing at the moment I'm not new

to journaling because i was kind of

doing this on my tumblr can just

blurting out my thoughts into the vast

emptiness of the cosmos between ones and

zeros sometimes that's all we need

someone that can listen without judging

or fixing our problems

kind of like a nexus valve on an engine

if you build too much pressure that

machine will fall apart but relieve the

pressure time to time when you have a

well-oiled machine that will last for

generations

you see that's the beauty of it you have

an audience of one that is your biggest

fan you are string of thoughts tied

together as we experience this in third

person when we leave it all together we

can form beautiful symphonies or destroy

humanity with a split of an atom

how else can we say we experience that

they fully without reflection

journaling gives me this axis it keeps

me focused on the goal that I want to

accomplish on today thankful for what I

have right down crazy ideas as it soaks

in my brain

Henry collect at the end of the day

happiness not bring gratitude gratitude

brings happiness so if ever you want to

start your day on the right note write

down what you are thankful for

don't start writing superficial stuff

that you don't need heck if you are

thankful for that louis vuitton bag we

just bought then by all means write it

down

that's the beauty of it the dirt normal

judge you because you enjoy some

pleasures in life you have to empower

yourself and if not you better start

cheering because to love waters you must

first learn to love yourself

unconditionally now for productivity I

tried to write something I want to

publish for today no matter how small I

guess surgeon fulfillment when

completing stuff that i know i need to

get done looking back at my journal at

the end of the day when i'm on my

recollection mode allows me to feel

fulfilled

no matter how miniscule the baskets real

example i did laundry and clean my place

today it feels great i need to do is

more often now I'm not the most

productive person that's why every

single battle i win gives me a sense of

completion and it makes me want to start

the next project right away when

everything is lost the battle is won

with all these things that I have done

the killers now here's a big one if you

are a scatterbrain that cannot stop

thinking I strongly suggest embarking on

this simple habit one of the biggest

reason this will be very beneficial for

us

it promotes mental clarity and improves

focus here's a simple analogy to get

your house and you're tired from your

job and you come home to a messy house

your dirty clothes are everywhere he

can't find that book you misplace

somewhere in this jungle you have

leftover food sitting somewhere from

last night and all you can think is I

don't want to be here right now

now imagine saying that you're mine I

don't want to be in my mind right now

that's a messed up way to live

so you try to escape temporary with

video games booze or worse drugs

journaling is the key

it's the housekeeper cleans organizes

and hopefully fix your inner self kinda

like Gil go without the sexy pants the

final key ID i leave here on why should

start journaling is that it shares the

root word of journey during can be

translated to away from maybe yourself

your problems or even your mind it's

funny how to mind contributors the

business in reality we have the power to

stop any thought from surfacing up any

given time but that's a different story

if you want to find out more check out

my video how to find your inner peace

now the journey here is to find who you

really are you will discover a lot about

yourself that you never knew or even

solve before this can be very frightened

but that might media on the journey work

in barking

The Faithful Shall Flourish, Part 1 - Duration: 28:35.

(Music)

JERRY: Hello, everyone. Welcome to our broadcast. I'm Jerry

Savelle. Thank you for joining me today. I believe that what

you're going to hear and see is going to be so inspiring to your

faith. In fact, I believe your faith is going to go to another

level. I'm going to be sharing a testimony, something that took

place in my life. I'll tell you, God did a miracle. If you need

healing in your body today, I don't want you to miss one word

of this broadcast. I want you to watch it very closely, and I

want you to mix your faith with the word that is preached, and

the Bible says it will profit you. Now, I want to start with

Proverbs Chapter 4 and Verse 22. The Bible says that "God's Word

is life unto those that find them and health to all their

flesh." The Word of God is health to all your flesh. I'm

going to talk to you today about what that means and how that you

can apply it in your life. I'm going to take you into a service

that I was conducting here at our church along with a couple

hundred ministers that were attending. This service was so

powerful, and I believe that it's going to make a tremendous

impact on your life. If you need healing in your body, I want you

to watch very closely, listen very closely, and I'm believing

that the same anointing that came on me that brought a

miracle in my life is going to come on you and produce that

same miracle. Watch now, and then after a while, I'll be back

in a few moments with some closing remarks.

JERRY: This is actually my first time to preach

since September 26th, I believe it is. I get

to unload on you. Let me tell you what a miracle

this is. It's a horrible thing to lose everything you've

learned from the Lord for 47 years and not remember any of

it. Not even remember your family. Some of you may not know

what I'm talking about or referring to, but back over a

year ago, I went for a check up, a physical, and found out I had

some heart issues. When we did the stress test and all of that,

he said I need to do some more tests, and when he took me into

his clinic, he said, "You need to have surgery, and I'm talking

right now." Well, that's not something I was expecting. My

family was there and I really had a witness in my spirit to go

through it, and to go on and submit to that. Didn't know I

had any heart problems at all. When we got to the hospital,

they determined that there was two main arteries blocked 90%.

Wasn't it, Carolyn, 90%? So they did heart surgery. I progressed

very well. I've been confessing all these years. First time I

heard Brother Hagin say it years ago that "with long

life he satisfies me." Now, let me tell you what a miracle this

is even to recall scripture today. You may not, can identify

with that but I lost all memory of everything. I couldn't even

say my family's names. The only thing I could remember, they

came in there and they gave me a test in this last surgery to see

how my memory was because I had a stroke during the surgery, and

I lost of the use of my right arm and I lost my memory. He

came in and he said, "What is the name of the President of the

United States?" They said, I don't remember it, but they said

I said, "Barack Obama," but I couldn't remember my wife's

name, and I couldn't remember my daughters' names. Anyway, going

back to this first surgery, they told me that I had blockage in

this main artery right here in the neck where the blood flows

to the brain and so forth. It too, was 75

to 90 percent blocked, and that I needed to come back

in a year or so, and have surgery here. That's what I went

in for this last time. Now the heart surgery, I recovered, I

mean quickly. It was supernatural, in fact, when I

went back to the doctor, he said, his exact words, "Your

recovery has been magical, can you explain this." I explained

it, praise God. When I went in on September, what was it? 27th?

When I went in on September the 27th, to have this surgery, and

they said it was hereditary. It was a plaque build up and that

if you don't take care of it, that it could cause aneurysm,

and strokes and all kind of things. I went in for this

surgery, and he said, the doctor said that I would probably be

out in a day or day and a half. That normally, that's the

procedure. I went in thinking I'd be out in day and a half,

and wasn't planning on any problems at all. When they ... I

don't remember any of this, but I think it was three days and

they said I had a stroke during the surgery. That I lost all

memory. Any way, eventually Brother Copeland came to the

hospital. I remember him being there, but I don't remember

anything he said. I couldn't, I couldn't remember things, I

couldn't remember any scripture. After 47 years, I couldn't

remember scripture. I couldn't remember people's names. While

Brother Copeland was there the only thing I do remember, I

prayed in tongues the whole time. It was coming out of my

spirit. Praying in tongues. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Amen.

Whatever he said, I prayed in tongues and getting in line with

it. The next day they came in, and they did some tests, and

they released me. I still didn't have total use of my arm and

everything. I got home and one of the first things I did, I

said, "Rachel, take me out to my shop." I'm standing there

looking at all this, and I walked over to the first

motorcycle. This is horrible, Keith, this is horrible. I

wouldn't pray this on anybody. I couldn't remember how to start

it. I just stood there and looked at it. I couldn't

remember how to start it. I turned and I said, "I will not

leave this shop until I start this motorcycle." I stood there

and I studied that thing for quite some time. Finally, I got

it started. Every day I would go to that shop and God was

bringing back to my remembrance. Finally, I decided that one of

my favorite places on the planet is Hawaii. During the millennium

I will be Governor of those islands. Usually, October is the

off-season for Hawaii. We all, I mean, I've never had a problem

getting a hotel. Call that day and get a hotel room. My

favorite hotel, my favorite room. That ... Every hotel on

the island was booked. Anyway, I finally got there, somebody at

Word of Life helped me to get a room. We got there and I started

my walking every day. The same walk I've done for 40 years. I

started my walk every day, and I had my head set on. I decided to

help me remember, I went back and got on

with Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, T.L. Osborn,

Oral Roberts messages from the 60s and the

70s. I listened to them every morning while I was

walking. Then I started, my memory started coming back. My

memory started coming back. The Word is medicine to your flesh.

The Word is medicine to your flesh. I was there five or six

days, and came back home. I didn't let anybody know.

I was there just relaxing and recovering, and when we got

back home everything's improving. I got total use of my

arm back. Praise God, hallelujah. My memory's coming

back every day, praise God. I am more grateful today for the Word

of God than I've ever been in my life, amen. I have loved this

book almost 48 years now, and it has never been more precious to

me than it is right now, praise God. Amen, amen. That's in a

nutshell what's been going on in the last couple of months. This

is my first time to preach, and I'm ready to go. Hallelujah,

amen, praise God. All right, let's open our Bibles to Romans

15 and verse 13. Now the God of hope, well we can camp out right

there. The God of hope. Everybody say that with me, the

God of hope. CONGREGATION The God of hope. JERRY: Say, "That's

the God I serve." CONGREGATION That's the God I serve. JERRY:

Now, the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace

in believing that you may abound in hope through

the power of the Holy Ghost. The God of hope,

the New Living translation says it this way, "I pray

that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely

with joy and peace because you trust in him." Today, I can

testify that I am completely filled with joy and peace

because I trust in Him, hallelujah, amen. Notice once

again it says, "The source of hope." The source of hope. John

chapter one and verse one says, "In the beginning was the Word

and the Word was with God and the Word was God." God and His

Word are one in the same. Can you say amen? CONGREGATION Amen.

JERRY: Therefore, the Word can do anything God can do. God's

Word, if God Himself is the source of hope, then that would

make the Word the source of hope. When I was able to get

back into the Word and recall scripture that I've learned all

these years, I noticed two things happening. Faith was

arising, and hope for the future. Amen. Faith was arising,

because faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Hope for the future, amen. Hope, God is the source of hope. The

Word and God being one in the same, that makes the Word also

the source of hope. Amen. I have hope today. Praise God. I have

hope that I will finish my course with joy. The devil fired

his best shot and it didn't work. Amen. Only slowed me down

a little bit, but I am back, I'm back. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I

decided that I would remove everything from my schedule for

the rest of the year and just get in the Word and just build

my faith, build my hope. Brother, I want you to know 2017

I'm going to come out, hallelujah, firing both barrels,

hallelujah. Praise God, amen. Jesus declared in John 6:61,

"The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they

are life." The New Century version says, "They give life."

They give life. Why would anyone go any other way than the Word

if the Word gives life? Amen. I mean, even the

doctor said, when he used the words, "Your recovery has been

magical. Can you explain this?" I said, "Yes, sir. I can. I

appreciate what you did, and I appreciate your expertise, and I

appreciate your education in medicine, but I wasn't looking

to you. I was looking to God." Amen. God is the source of hope.

My hope of recovering is in him. Hallelujah. He was okay with

that. Praise God. In fact, he was a Muslim, but one of the

best in the field, and he's even developed techniques today that

are unique to heart surgery, and he used them on me, and I thank

God for his expertise. But do you know, and I don't have any

idea, I suppose that it would cost at least a quarter of a

million dollars for heart surgery, but this man was so

impressed with the God of hope, and my faith in Him, he didn't

charge me anything. Hallelujah. Amen. Glory to God. It's been

over a year, and I still ain't got a bill. Hallelujah. Isn't

that good? Praise God? God is the source of hope. Jesus said,

"The words that I speak unto you, they're spirit and they're

life," and once again the New Century Version says, "They give

life." I confess everyday that God and His Word is giving me

life. It's restoring life, and that principal is still working

today, just like it started working for me 47 years ago. I

confess that God is the source of my hope, and He's the source

of my total recovery. Say that with me. God is the source of my

hope. CONGREGATION: God is the source of my hope. JERRY: Look

at somebody, and tell them God is the source of my hope.

CONGREGATION: God is the source of my hope. JERRY: Another verse

that became very dear to me over the last few weeks, and I've

quoted it earlier, Proverbs chapter 10, and verse 7, "The

memory of the upright or the just is blessed." The memory of

the just is blessed. I cannot think of anything more horrible

than not remembering something you've learned for 47 years, the

Word. To not be able to remember that, that God has taught you, I

cannot think of anything more tragic, but I was not going to

accept that. Amen. So the Word says that the memory of the just

is blessed, and I got up confessing that every morning,

and I have continued to do so. I confessed it this morning, and

my memory has improved everyday. Sometimes I'll just be walking

around, and all the sudden scripture starts coming back to

me. Not only what it says, but where it's located. Hallelujah.

Amen. I'll go set down and look it up again, and write it down

again, just like I'm starting all over from 47 years ago.

Praise God. I'm telling you I've always loved the Word, but I

have a new appreciation for it today. Praise the Lord. Amen.

Proverb, chapter 4, let's go there. Proverb, chapter 4, verse

20, "My son, attend to my words, incline thine ear unto my

sayings, let them not depart from thine eyes, keep them in

the midst of thine heart, for they are life. They are life.

They are life." Somebody shout, "They are life." CONGREGATION:

They are life. JERRY: They are life unto those that find them,

and health to all their flesh. The literal Hebrew says

'medicine' to the flesh. The dictionary defines medicine as,

"Something that treats, prevents, or alleviates the

symptoms of disease." It also gives the definition as,

"A healing substance." The Bible is telling us that

God's Word is a healing substance. CONGREGATION: Yes.

Yes. Yeah. JERRY: I don't think I would be standing here

today if it was not for the Word of God. CONGREGATION: Yes. Yes.

JERRY: I certainly wouldn't be preaching if it was not for the

Word of God. CONGREGATION: That's right. MALE: Come on.

JERRY: It's healing to my flesh. A healing substance. FEMALE:

Yes. JERRY: God's Word heals the whole body. The Welwyn

Commentary says, "The pure words of God are healthful

and life-giving and a healing medicine." A healing medicine.

You could say, "Doses every day keeps the Devil away." MALE:

Here we go. Hallelujah. JERRY: Amen. MALE: Amen. JERRY:

Hallelujah. MALE: Come on. JERRY: Doses every day will keep

the Devil away. Romans chapter one in verse 16, "The Gospel is

the power of God unto salvation." FEMALE: Yes. MALE:

Come on. JERRY: Well if it will produce salvation, as miraculous

as that is, then couldn't it have an effect on your body as

well? MALE: Come on. CONGREGATION: Yes, yes. MALE:

Come on. JERRY: The Gospel is the power of God. Proverbs 4:22,

once again, "It's health to all your flesh." Romans 1:16, The

New Living Translation, "It is the power of God at work." The

New Century Version says, "It is the power God uses." Hallelujah.

FEMALE: Yes. CONGREGATION: Hallelujah. JERRY: The Word of

God is the power that God uses. MALE: Real good. CONGREGATION:

Yes. JERRY: He sent his Word and healed them.

That means the word is the power that God uses.

FEMALE: Right. MALE: Yeah. JERRY: His word was with power.

FEMALE: Yes. JERRY: The New Testament says. Can you say

amen? CONGREGATION: Amen. JERRY: Power in the Greek is

dunamis or dunamis. It's used a 120 times in the New

Testament, describing the power of God. It refers to strength,

ability, and the English word that comes from this Greek word

is dynamite. I love one of the definitions that I found for

dynamite. "Something potentially dangerous." Hallelujah. Amen.

Amen. He sent his Word and healed them. It's

dangerous to the Devil. MALE: Yeah, right. CONGREGATION: Yeah.

JERRY: Amen. It's medicine to our flesh. CONGREGATION: Come

on. JERRY: No wonder Satan hopes you'll never get the Word in

you, because it's healing to your flesh. FEMALE: That's

right. JERRY: I strongly encourage you to get a

fresh revelation of the power of the Word of God. FEMALE: Yes.

MALE: That's good. MALE: Come on. JERRY: Man, I'm so grateful.

MALE: Yes. JERRY: That Kenneth Copeland came, 1969, preached to

hundreds of people, but there's only a handful that grabbed hold

of it. MALE: Yes sir. CONGREGATION: Yeah. Yeah. JERRY:

And I was one of the handful. CONGREGATION: Amen. Come on.

Yeah. Come on. JERRY: I'm so grateful that Kenneth Hagin

never stopped preaching the word of faith. MALE: Thank you, Lord.

JERRY: I'm so grateful that your daddy, Oral Roberts preached the

uncompromising Word of God. I'm so grateful that T.L. Osborn,

those were my mentors. I'm still feeding on them.

MALE: Come on. JERRY: It's like listening to it all over

again. It's doing the same thing on the inside

of me that it did almost 48 years ago. Praise God.

I have no contact with people there

A little because I work in building

so I meet them at building sites

but it's only saying hi and drinking coffee together

So we never talk about politics or anything like that

Do you have Palestinian friends?

Barak Kadima

No

What about Israeli Arabs?

Yes

From where?

How do you know each other?

From work

mostly from work

Are you good enough friends that you go to each other's homes?

Or just "hi hi" friends?

Sometimes we do, yes

Do you have Palestinian friends?

Yes

Michal Kochav Yakov (West Bank settlement)

I know them from the supermarket from working together

from Facebook

Do you meet...

We are good friends

Yes, even though our opinions

are not the same

we are still friends

They are West Bank Palestinians, right? - Yes

Judea and Samaria

Yes, from across the green line

and some who are Arab Israeli

Ah, some from Israel and some...

They are wonderful people

Do you have Palestinian friends?

Yonatan and Shir Beersheva

No

Arab Israeli?

Arab Israeli friends, yes

From where?

Where do we know each other?

Yes

From work, from school

Are you in contact with them where you go to each other's homes?

Not so much to each other's homes but we go out

Mostly from work

Nothing more than that

So you just work together you don't go have a beer

Muslims don't drink but...

No, they also drink

Do you have any Arab friends?

Palestinian friends?

I have many Arab and Palestinian friends

Shimon Jerusalem

But they are not friends with me they don't like us

Let me explain it to you

What does that mean?

He can be my good friend

I like him

take care of him I have an Arab worker

Palestinian

A worker is not a friend - No, no, no

He lives in Ramallah

I like him not because he works for me

because he is dependable and a good person

But I don't think he would give me the love I give him

You don't feel he gives you...

No, I don't feel it

That's too bad

What do you mean "too bad"?

I feel what is true

That is the truth

This is the truth

You can't expect...

But that is not friendship

you don't go to his home

I do go to his home

Really? In Ramallah?

Yes, in Ramallah I go to Bet El a lot (settlement nearby)

I have business in the area

I work for the army

I go to them, they come to my home

So why do you think he doesn't love you?

If I try to speak about the political situation

somethng, even just question

They always run away from the reality

They don't accept it

Do you understand what I mean?

Give an example

For people outside of here

If I go to him and say "look"

"you live here with all respect"

"even after the wars" I have here through all the wars

A soldier?

No, also as a reserve soldier

I was in the border police, army

If I ask him a question

"You guys live well"

Really, they (Palestinians) live in homes they have no mortgage

they owe no money on it

every person grabs a piece of land and just builds on it

For us (Israelis) we can't do such things

You can build a home but

can you build without buying the land?

or without a mortgage?

Of course not

So what happens...

Even with a mortgage I personally can't (afford)

So you explain to hm "you live better with us"

"even better than we (Israelis) live"

and he says "How?"

You tell him "you can go where ever you want"

"You can go to Jordan, Syria, Egypt to the whole world"

"you live with all you need at home"

So tell me "what did the Israelis do to you"

"that makes you not like them"?

He can't go pray at al Aqsa (Jerusalem mosque)

Who told you that?

He cannot go and pray at al Aqsa

You are wrong

Excuse me

I worked in security (for the army)

They can pray anywhere they want

But

But because of the fear that he will commit a violent act

that he will commit a terrorist act

That is the problem

Hold on

A Palestinian needs a permit to go over the border

to enter Jerusalem

There are special permits and they are given

Of course

But he still needs to request permission

Ok, and they get permits I have a worker from Ramallah

who work in Jerusalem

But if his brother committed a terror attack, he can't get a permit

That's true but that is true everywhere in the world

It isn't his fault (his brother is a terrorist)

That is not true

I am a Canadian

if I try to cross the border

and my brother is a terrorist they don't tell me no because of your brother

Maybe that is how it is in Canada

In France such things exist

Today

Today in France

I have a large family in France

In France today that happens

If you are a terrorist

so you and your family are not accepted for any work

Maybe in Canada, I don't know

But not the whole world

Do you have Palestinian friends?

Lidor Givataim

No

What about Arab Israeli?

Also no

But not for personal reasons

I simply don't know any

I am not in a situation that allowed me to get to know any

Do you have Arab friends?

Tamar Haifa

I used to have

What happened?

From work

where I worked

Where did you work? - In a bank

Which bank?

Leumi - I worked in Poalim

That's why I asked

So you worked together

Did you ever go to their homes?

Sometimes they invited

but I couldn't go

It wasn't a lot, maybe once or twice

Were they ever at your home?

No

But most I worked with never came to my home

Of course

They (Arabs) are not suffering, don't make it sound like they are

God Promises You Wisdom and Understanding with Kenneth Copeland (Air Date 1-9-17) - Duration: 23:31.

(Singing) I know my God has made the way for me. I know my God

has made the way for me. ANNOUNCER: Do you need wisdom

and understanding about something in your life? God has

your answer. Join Kenneth Copeland on the Believer's

Voice of Victory and learn how to immerse yourself

in the Word and get wisdom God's way.

KENNETH: Welcome, everybody, to the Believer's

Voice of Victory broadcast. I'm Kenneth Copeland. Let's

have a word of prayer, we'll get right into today's

Bible lesson. Father, we praise You. Oh, we worship You, and we

honor the name of Jesus. Oh, how we love Jesus. And we thank You

for your Word. We open our hearts, and we open our minds

for revelation from heaven. And we thank You that the Greater

One that lives within me today will equip me and anoint me to

teach this Word accurately. And we believe we receive gifts and

manifestations of the Holy Spirit today throughout this

radio and television audience. There's no time nor distance in

the realm of the Spirit. And we thank You for it. Gifts of

healings, working of miracles, special faith, discerning of

spirits, glory to God, word of knowledge, word of wisdom.

Ho-ho-ho, ah ha, glory to God. We thank You, and we praise You

and give You all the praise and glory in Jesus' name. Amen.

Don't forget the downloads. Ha-ha. Amen. Kcm.org/notes. Free

study notes. Now--and--of course, if you're a regular

watcher on BVOV, BVOVN, and watching us on the Internet or

wherever you get us, you're aware of that now, but I want to

encourage you to continue to do that. This is so important,

particularly of you--those of you watching on the Believer's

Voice of Victory Network, either on 265 on a Dish receiver, or

kcm.org, or wherever you get us. You've got a Roku set, you can

get it. A lot of different ways. But let me tell you this: These

downloads are study notes that, if you will download these

notes, like if you just downloaded them right now, just

right, "prrrppp," and download these notes, you can follow

right along. I mean, you've got every Scripture. And not only

that, you can take--you can teach from these. And, of

course, they're like everything else you receive off of this

broadcast; doesn't cost you anything. No expense, no excuse,

right? Thank you, Keith Moore, for that. That's--that's good.

Amen. All right. The ways of faith and the ways of love equal

the ways of Jesus. Say that with me. "The ways of faith, the ways

of love equal the ways of Jesus." Huh? Oh, yeah, praise

God. Now, let's go over to Isaiah 55. This is our golden

text for again this week. Verse 8, "My thoughts are not your

thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord." Now,

you can see--you can see where that came from. The ways of

faith and the ways of love equal the ways of Jesus. Those are the

ways. "Your thoughts are not my thoughts, neither are your ways

my ways, saith the Lord." "Well, what are we gonna do?" Ah-hah.

"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher

than your ways, and my thoughts your thoughts. As the rain comes

down, and the snow from heaven, returns not there, but waters

the earth, and makes it bring forth bud, that it," the Word,

"may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater. So shall my

word be that goes forth out of my mouth." His Word is His will.

See, God wouldn't promise you something in His Word that was

not His will for you to have. Now, that--you know, that

wouldn't even make any sense. But it's not knowing the Word,

not knowing the promises, you don't know the will, and

therefore your faith can't function where you don't know

the will of God concerning it. Okay, now, I'm ahead of myself.

So what are we talking about? The natural way of thinking--the

Lord spoke this to me earlier, and I wrote it down. We talked

about it last week. The natural way of thinking is to look and

see, feel and see, or put an "if it be Thy will" on the end of

every prayer. "Well, what's wrong with that, Brother

Copeland?" Well, now, you see, there's different kinds of

prayer. It's not just "prayer is prayer." There's different kinds

of prayer, and different kinds of prayer are prayed with

different rules. You can't pray, "if it be thy will" on every

prayer because it will negate the prayer. "I just don't

understand that." I know it, so hush and listen because I'm

telling you. (Laughs) I'm just messing with you. You know that.

No, I used to think that. But, well, now think about this

dilemma. "Well, Father, Lord Jesus, heal me if it be Your

will." Well, you're not going to receive your healing. No, you

are not going to receive it. So now you go away thinking--and

the devil will absolutely prove to you, "See there, it's not

God's will to heal everyone now, and you are--" Have you ever

heard someone say, "Well, I know it's not God's will to heal

everyone, but He's going to heal me." No. You're always the one

that He won't. "Well, He may heal somebody else, but He sure

never healed me." How do you know? "Well, I prayed and asked

Him to, and He wouldn't do it." See, that--all of that is just

religion, just religious brainwashing. It actually comes

from being--not being New Testament taught. It's--well, I

won't go any further than that. Now, how do I know if it's God's

will? The Scripture says that "in him," in Jesus, "his

promises--" the promises. Say, "promises." "The promises in him

are yea," or yes, "and Amen." "Amen" means "so be it." That's

it, that's settled, so be it. When I find the promise that

covers my situation--now listen to me carefully. When I find the

promise that can--covers my situation, and I base my prayer

on that promise right there, then I know it's His will, or He

wouldn't have promised it to me. I've heard people say this, and

they say it honestly. I mean, you know, it's because of trying

to answer spiritual problems with the carnal mind, which it

ain't going to work. You can't answer--spiritual problems have

to be discerned in the Spirit by the Holy Spirit, which is where

we're going in this today, "By my Spirit, saith the Lord."

He--He lead you to promises, and that promise that covers your

situation. Proverbs 4:7 says--let's turn over there. I

want you to see that. Turn over there in your Bible right now,

Proverbs 4:7. Let's start reading Verse 5. "Get wisdom,

get understanding: forget it not, neither decline from the

words of my mouth." Now, that's a command. "Forsake her not, and

she will preserve you: love her, and she will keep you. Wisdom is

the principal thing--" Not, "a" principal thing, "the" principal

thing. "Therefore get wisdom: and with all your getting get

understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you: she will

bring you to honor, when you do embrace her." Wow. Listen to

that. Now, let's put--let's put that in perspective here now. I

had the Lord say to me one time, He said, "You're too quick to

pray." I said, "I mean, come on, Lord." "No," He said, "You're

too--you just jump out and start confessing Scriptures and

everything." He said, "I said in my Word wisdom is the principal

thing." "Well, yeah, it does say that, yes, Sir." And He--I

was--we had a million-dollar problem in the ministry, and we

were running a million dollars behind all the time. Well, in

this ministry, from day one, we had--because Gloria and I took

communion, and we gave our promise before God we would

never ask anybody to meet our needs, that we would never write

appeal letters. Now, I'm not judging somebody else that does

that. There's actually nothing wrong with that unless you abuse

it. But this is what God dealt with us, I mean first day in

this ministry. And we took communion over it and

gave--and--anyway...so we've never done that. And so I--when

He said, "Wisdom is the principal thing," and I said,

"Okay." But here's what I did. I wasn't searching at the time for

wisdom. I was searching at the time for a million dollars, you

understand? And I went up to the prayer cabin, and I stayed up

there for several days, and just to pray and seek the Lord over

this million dollars. And I said out loud, I said, "Lord, we need

a million dollars." And I heard it right in here, that same

place where He speaks to every Christian that'll listen, that

small voice right in here. He said, "No, you don't." I said,

"What?" He said, "You don't need a million dollars." And I

remember, I said, "Well, you could have fooled me!" I said it

about that loud, "You could have fooled me!" "No," He said, "You

don't need a million dollars." He said, "You have a spiritual

problem in your ministry that has caused that million-dollar

shortfall." He said, "I told you to do such and such where this

ministry is concerned, and you just touched it with your mental

line and said, 'Well, yeah, yeah.'" But He said, "You just

dropped it and went on and didn't pay any more attention to

it. Now," He said, "that problem has caused this--" He said, "If

I gave you a million dollars today, the problem--the

spirit--see, it's a spiritual problem." He said, "The

spiritual problem in your ministry would eat that million

dollars up, too, and you'd still be a million dollars behind." I

said, "Well, yeah. Yeah, I can see that." Well, see, I needed

the wisdom of God. I didn't need a million dollars, I needed the

wisdom of God. "Now--yes, Sir. Yes, Sir, I can do that." Let's

go over here and look in the book of James, Chapter 1. Now,

I'm just--I'm demonstrating to you how the promise of God is

the will of God and that becomes the answer to the prayer,

therefore you can release your faith and receive that answer.

Are you with me now? Okay, James 1, "James, a servant of God in

the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are

scattered abroad, greeting." And that's to those of us in Fort

Worth and those of you wherever you are, greeting. "My brethren,

count it all joy when you fall into different temptations." The

word there, "temptation," means--the word translated

"temptation" means temptations or testings or trials. "Well, I

know God sure tested me." No, He didn't. Huh-uh. "Really?" No,

that--that's just some more religious thinking. Right now

that's not our subject, but just put enough confidence in me and

the Holy Ghost that I know what I'm--you know I wouldn't tell

you that if I didn't have absolute Scripture to back me up

on it. It's not God testing you. Now, "Knowing this, that the

trying of your faith worketh patience." Patience is a fruit

of the Spirit. It's translated, in Galatians 5, as

"long-suffering." This patience--now look at Verse 4.

"Let patience," long-suffering, "have her perfect work, that you

may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." All right. So

I know that--that it's God's will for me to be perfect and

entire, wanting nothing, right? Because He said right here that

those two fruits of the Spirit, joy and patience, will produce

this. Oh, okay. "If any of you lack wisdom--" Well, now you're

in a problem. I was in a million-dollar problem, and I

thought I needed money when I needed wisdom. When I got the

wisdom, I obeyed God, and that million dollars just come

a'jumping in there. Praise God. Now then, "If you--any of you

lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men

liberally--" This wisdom, it's for everybody! Hey! Some--some

sinners say, "I need the wisdom of God." Yeah, "Jesus" is His

name! Ha-ha-ha. Glory to God. Now listen to this. "--and

upbraideth not." "To upbraid" means to find fault. No, He's

not--your faults are not going to keep Him from giving you His

wisdom because you need wisdom about the fault. Huh? Ha-ha.

That's good, isn't it? Glory to God. "But let Him ask in faith,

nothing wavering. He that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven

with the wind. Let not that man think he'll receive anything

from the Lord." So we're going to have to--we're going to have

to work in faith or we can't receive that or anything else.

Now we're back to "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the

Word of God." Amen. So now follow me now. Stay right here

with me. So now, I need--I need a million dollars, and I'm

seeking God, and now the wisdom of God. "Well, uh-huh, but it

said, 'Let him ask in faith.' And 'Faith cometh by hearing,

hearing by the Word of God.' Oh. You know what? Yeah, yeah. Yeah,

Lord, I remember that, Lord. I Corinthians 1. I Corinthians,

the first chapter, 'But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of

God is made unto us--'" This is every born-again child of God.

Hoo, I get excited just reading this. "But of him are you in

Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and

righteousness, sanctification, and redemption." Hey! That

wisdom is on the inside of me. What happened--what happened to

your faith right there? Whoa. Yeah, it's in me now. He's in me

now. If I can get--if I can find what the Scripture says here

about how to get that wisdom out of here and into here, whoa.

Whew. Yeah, amen, amen. You know, I've arrived at something

here. Glory to God. "Oh, yeah, oh, yeah. Yeah, now--now, Lord,

where do I go from here? Um, mm-hmm. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Uh,

let's see--oh, yeah, that was the 18th chapter of

Proverbs--oh, yeah, the 4th verse, 'The words of a man's

mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom-- "fooo

"--as a flowing brook." "Out of your belly shall flow rivers of

living water," Jesus said. Hey. Now, I'm seeing something here,

words. Yeah, words. Yeah, but if I don't know the words to pray,

what am I going to do here? How am I going to pray that? But

yeah, well, you said to ask, and I'm saying, yeah, give me that

wisdom, Sir. I'm asking for it, and I believe I receive it. I--I

mean, I--I--" Oh, now, what did we read last week? The love way,

the Word way, the faith way. But Zechariah 4:6 says, "Not by

power, not by might, but by my spirit, saith the Lord." Yeah,

"by my spirit." Okay. Yeah, but what--let me look over here.

Let's see what that said over here in I Corinthians. Uh-huh.

"He that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men,

but unto God." Well, that's praying, isn't it? Yeah. He

speaks unto God. Isn't that something? Words. Now, I don't

understand these words, but God does, and He supernaturally

get--He gives me to that when I'm baptized in--with the Holy

Spirit. And I'm--the Spirit of God is in me, and I'm in Him.

And you know, I remember, when He said, over in the book of

Ephesians, that 6th chapter, where he said, praying

perseveringly "for all saints," all saints in the Spirit. Well,

he must have been talking about speaking in tongues because the

same apostle Paul that wrote that, that wrote this, "howbeit

in the Spirit--" in the Spirit, praying in the Spirit; wisdom as

a flowing river, coming up and out. This happened to Gloria and

me just recently. Hebrews 4:1 said, "Never let a promise

slip." Never let it slip. Why would you let it slip? You

forget it. And--and we're praying about something, and all

of a sudden, I just--it just--it just jumped across my mind, and

I started praying in a certain direction. And I thought, "Oh,

glory to God, hallelujah! Hallelujah! Oh, thank You, Lord,

for reminding me of that. Thank You for--ho!" And I just

suddenly took off praying that way. Now, what happened there?

Well, it said when I pray in an--in an unknown tongue, my

spirit prayeth, but my fruit--mind is unfruitful. I

pray that I may interpret. I had been praying that out in

tongues, the Lord showed me. I had let that promise slip. But

as that wisdom began to come up through me--because I pray a lot

in other tongues. I'm talking about a lot. Amen. And--and

Gloria and I are praying, I'm standing there laying hands on

her, and out it came. I thought, "Ho-ho-ho, glory to God!" What

happened? I needed that right at that moment. And we're out of

time. And I'll be back in just a moment.
