hey guys so welcome back to my channel so for today's video I have a what I got
for my sweet 16 birthday haul
My Super Sweet 16 Birthday
Hashtag Zoe
so obviously first I have to start the disclaimer because this is YouTube and
nothing goes without saying that I am NOT trying to brag in any way this is
what I got for my birthday. people do this all the time I decided I would do
this for what I got for my birthday because I don't know I'm a curious
person I want to see what other people grabbed for the birthday so maybe other
people other curious people will want to see what I got for my birthday and maybe
not but anyway if you like this video give it a thumbs up throughout this
video I'm gonna be putting a little picture of Malibu my dog in it and make
sure you guys find how many Malibu's you see in this video and comment the number
down below I'll pick one person to pin your comment and also in that comment
comment down below what you want for your birthday
so maybe your mom or grandma will see your comment underneath my video in
particular and get you that for your birthday yeah make sure to tell your mom
grandma to subscribe so as if I didn't have enough shoes already I bought two
pairs of shoes for my birthday okay so the first pair I got are the plain
classic white, Vans shoes, these are just the lace-up ones as you can see because
there's laces here I had one pair of these like my first pair of white Van's
are not even white anymore so thank you to the person who bought me these you
know you are. okay in this second pair of Van's I got
are the checkered ones I've been wanting used for a while now and so I got them
and I really like them and by the way I appreciate slip-on shoes so much because
I don't realize how lazy you are until you get slip ons because now it's fine
okay if I'm really thinking I do I really want to like sit down tie my
shoes right now we're do I just want to like slip on these slip ons and just go
obviously and literally what's a 'birthday haul without a lush gift box? so
this actually had really cute packaging if I can find picture of it I'll put it
right here it's really cute really cute but I ripped up the wrapping paper off
so I can see what's a in the gift box, obviously. put the put the paper on it was really
cute I figured never changes it anyway so this has two Lush bath bombs in it there's
this green one I don't know the names of them and then there's this blue one with
seaweed they both smell really nice and then
there's this bubble bar, I believe this is a bubble bar...
It kind of looks like this. And it smells really nice too!
So I'm definitely going to take some baths and use my Lush bath bombs!
now moving on to makeup I got a bunch of makeup for my birthday and I'm still
like people gave me like gift cards to Sephora and Ulta and things like that so
I still want to go buy some makeup that I want but for now and you show you this
I've been wanting the morphe 35o palette for literally two years and like I just
never got around to because I was like, ah really don't wear eyeshadow, it's fine I
don't need it and it's all about it from before birthday and I loved it so thank
you so much umm it's really cute and really nice and
brown suits blue eyes so I think I think it works and I honestly I think I'm
getting better at I shadow because of this because now I feel like have
options I really like, Morphe 35O pallet. so here a few things that i got from sephora i had
this mini size that the all nighter by Urban Decay settings spray, the big size
is just too big and I'm not gonna use it so I like this it's compact and I can travel
Next my friends know I love the roller lash so they got me this
too and I like it it's really cute then going on with the eyeshadow trend from
the morphe palette I also got this little Tartist Pro to go from Tarte
palette it's really to you and honestly if I travel I'm not going to be taking
this I'm probably going to be taking this.
sighs perfect so this is just if there's six shadows
in it there's to ship three shimmers and yep three matte's, three shimmers really
cute and they're pretty pigmented too so I like it
And there's a mirror in it too and also the person who gave me the morphe palette
also need a few other things that one of the things is the NYX lip lingerie in
the shade ruffle trim and it's really cute I would try to get but I do like
the color it's like a nudy mauve shade
also another thing I think I got this from Sephora like it was with like what
they give you for a free gift for your birthday this is just a blush in the shade party
for my birthday but it is really cute mauvey blush and I usually don't wear
blush because my cheeks are already kind of red but next moving on to clothing I
didn't get too many clothes for a birthday but I figured I wouldn't show
you guys what I did end up getting so from Nordstrom I tried on a bunch of
stuff but I only ended up getting literally a tank top yeah a lot
of the stuff at Nordstrom I feel like just isn't my style I don't know but I saw
this is really cute it's just a black crop top tank top thing and it has a
cross thing and this is from Top Shop at Nordstrom next this I actually wore this
on my birthday, I didn't get it for my birthday but I figured I would still
show it to you guys it's just this cropped, black, denim, jacket and I really like how
it's cut off I think I got it in a size too big usually like to get jackets
bigger just so they would like you know just be more comfy but I got this in a
size like I'm in jackets I usually get a size medium I got it on the side is
large so I think it's a little big on me but it's still really cute and I like it
and it's actually a stretchy material so it's nice this is a Levi's Denezim brand
I don't know I like it so last but not least I went to brandy melville
and the one at my mall closed actually so I have to go all the way to
Santa Monica I had to go to Santa Monica to go shopping why I didn't have to I'm
making it sound like a chore I went shopping at Santa Monica this is what I
cut okay so the first thing is just this red cropped tank top and I know it's
like fall winter but I live in LA so if I wear this under like a sweater yeah
this is just from the Brandy Melville, Pac Sun brand on the next thing I got is just
this striped t-shirt I don't really have too many t-shirts just plain t-shirts so
I figured why not get one and I know I'm gonna wear out I've already worn it
pretty comfy it's just a t-shirt. so I love this sweatshirt so much!
I really like the color but just it's so soft and comfortable I put it on like I
got it I bought it at the store I put it on the car and like I just it's just so
comfortable I don't even know like how but it's so soft inside it's just a
super comfortable casual sweatshirt that I'm gonna be wearing a ton I know it's
not like really fall colors because it's blue, but it's fine!
and next another blue sweatshirt from brandy melville this one says Malibu
California on it and if you know or maybe you don't I have a dog named
Malibu my puppy's name Malibu so I figured that I have to get this
obviously because it says his name on it are you kidding me and this is also
super soft Brandy Melville sweatshirts are really eight songs and I like how
they're not too thick either so I can wear them on like a day that it's not
too cold but I can still be comfortable yes I really like this awesome
another sweatshirt that I probably didn't eat since my dog's name on it
weighed on me make sure to remember to leave comment down below telling me how
many Malibu's you saw in my video and comment what you want for your birthday
I will see you guys in my next video

DIY Soft Lights - Duration: 9:28.
Hey guys are you wanting some soft lights? You know you need them for your
videos, but they may be out of your price range or maybe the ones you're finding
are too big, maybe they don't fit in the area where you record. I mean that's very
common, not all of us have a big studio to record in. So in this video I want to
show you how we took a regular clip light and we made our own soft light
with things we pretty much had around the house. So these fit in the area we
needed, they cost a lot less and they worked fine for what we needed. Well at
least at that time they were better than nothing.
So let's take a look at how we made these lights. Hi guys, I'm Sheryl Loch with
Ginger Roots Media and in this do-it-yourself creative video gear
series, I've been showing you things that we kind of had to make on our own,
because we either couldn't find them or maybe we couldn't afford to go out and
buy one, so we had to kind of use things we had around the house or make our own
for a variety of reasons. And today this is a soft light. As you know a lot of
times you have to have lighting for your video, but the thing you may be able to
afford or that you may have is something like this from say Home Depot, Lowe's, any
store has them and lots of us have them sitting around our house. They have
a clip, they're easy to use and they're pretty inexpensive. The only problem with
these lights is how bright it is and it shows the direct light. You're gonna blow
things out. If it happens to shine on you, you could be doomed by having a super
blown out face and look a little ridiculous. So when we started making
videos, I made videos in a three foot by three foot area.
Now that's super small. I didn't have a lot of room the big regular box lights
and soft lights were not gonna work. I had nowhere to put them, so we were
trying to use regular lights. But for some things they didn't work. They were
either too much, not enough, I couldn't get them regulated. So we decided to make
our own soft lights and we started with something like this. Now let me tell you
if you don't have one of these laying around and it's something you're going
to use, when you go to your hardware store if you find one of these and the
metal here is bent, you can usually talk the manager into
giving it to you at a super discount price. So instead of paying like 7 to 10
bucks, you can usually get them for 3 or 4 just because this metal is bent. We
didn't use the metal anyway, we were gonna we cut it off, so that part didn't
have a whole lot to play in it. But we wanted the clip, we wanted the whole
setup and it was cheaper when we could get one of these that was all dinged up.
So let's look at the soft light. Kkay this is not beautimous and it's been
hanging out in our shop for quite a while now, so I kind of wiped it off. But
this is not your typical round nor square. We did have a big square one
we've since taken it down I believe. But because of the area I worked in I needed
light and this shape, that would fit. I could fit 2 of these to get my light even and
so we had to make them triangle. Trust me I doubt you could find one of these and
everybody said triangles won't work, well they will if that's what you have. So
what do we have here? We have cardboard on the outside. This is just real thick
cardboard. Go to the grocery store, go to any big box store they usually have it
out back and if you ask, they'll give you some big boxes and this is the thick
corrugated cardboard. Now we spray painted it black, we cut our
shapes used tape, this is hundred-mile-an-hour tape. Tape
them together and that was how we made our box. Now yes you can make them square,
triangle, whatever rectangle, whatever is going to work that you can make work.
Back here you see we have the back of our clip light. This could have the clip
piece still attached which we did use at times and then we redesigned them again
and we put this piece of metal bent to attach here. Because I had slats that we
put on to basically the ceiling and I could slide these on and move them
around very easily. As for the rest of the light this that is going to soften
the light. It's a white shower curtain that you buy
at any store. It's just a white shower curtain, that's it nothing fancy. Then we
have inside. Let me pull this apart. The heat is not very friendly,
Las Vegas gets a little warm and it doesn't do well for anything glued. Let's
take a look here. As you can see we've lined this piece of shower curtain with
Velcro and have Velcro on the cardboard. Now lining the cardboard is regular
aluminum foil, tin foil, whatever you want to call it, that is what is lining the
inside the light, so it reflects. Then all the way in, is the rest of our light and
as you can see we've cut the metal piece down. And I know this won't show on
camera, but there's just a slight little rim we left here to help hold the light
in place and secure it. It may not be pretty, would I take these out and
hang them up somewhere to do a video shoot for someone or a photo shoot?
Probably not and now I don't have to. At the time they worked for what we
needed. So it's cardboard, a clip light, some
aluminum foil and a white shower curtain. There's more instructions to it, but
these are your basics and I'm sure you can at least get an idea and get started
with these. I know we used to have a how-to on it, but I don't know where that
went. But anyway, I just wanted to show you
that you you don't need to go out and buy things that you can't afford if
that's what's holding you back from starting to make your videos. Or maybe
you have product pictures you want to take and you can't afford the the big
soft lights. I don't blame you. When we started we couldn't. There's nothing to
be ashamed of. I I made hundreds of videos with these lights and guess what?
Nobody even knew. Nobody's gonna know if you're in your own office or your house
or wherever you make your videos, that you're using soft lights made out of
cardboard that cost 15 bucks rather than 50 bucks for the nice fancy
ones. If it solves your problem then use it. It doesn't matter if it's not what
everyone else uses or it's not as fancy or you didn't get it store-bought. The
point is get what you need, so you can start moving forward and as your
business builds or your channel builds, whatever it is you're working on, then
maybe you're making more money and you choose to go buy better looking, a
little more sophisticated soft lights. But that's up to you, because as long as
you have something that works, you can get started right now. We made several of
these different sizes, different shapes, the shapes will will cause the light to
come out different, but you can work with it and you may have to make different
ones. Had square, rectangular, triangle and we
used them in different places for different things. So that's why I wanted
to show you today how we made homemade, super cheap soft lights and they work. So
go ahead tell me, I'd never make that. That's okay, you don't have to, they
worked for me. We'll see you on the next video, thanks for watching and be
sure to subscribe for more entertaining things we've made from home.

How Do You Make the Best Spiritual Choices in Life - Duration: 9:33.
How Do You Make the Best Spiritual Choices in Life?
How you experience and enjoy your life whether it becomes fulfilling depends, of course,
on the choices you make. How often do you find yourself trying to figure out whats
the best choice to make? But what if, at one level that of the ego choice is merely
a complex illusion of conditioning? And beyond that, what if theres a way of aligning
with your soul that then delivers the best choices possible?
Its my observation in the Openhand work, that when people break through the illusion
of choice that the ego creates, and when they align with the souls mainstream flow, life
really takes off in the most magical of ways: youre constantly blessed with miracles.
Heres an exploration then, of how you might make the most aligned choices in life
The ego is going to do exactly what its going to do
I put it to you that when one is in the false self ego, choices are actually being made
by a complex configuration of conditioned behaviour patterns a conglomeration of
fixed neural pathways in the brain which work a bit like a computer: based on logic,
but also with emotion and karmic filters thrown into the mix. My main point being
That in any given situation, when youre in the ego, you are going to do exactly what
you are going to do, and although other options and pathways may have been possible, based
on your current configuration, its highly inevitable youd make the choice you did.
Understanding and accepting that something like this may be going on, when you think
and feel into it, can bring with it an enormous amount of peace: it means you can start to
let go of struggle. Work to accept that life simply happens by your inner configuration
of consciousness that you manifest, and draw to yourself, exactly what you need at
this current place on your journey which is how The Law of Attraction truly works.
When you do accept this, it then changes the focus as to where we might now need to look,
in order to arrive at the best choice (defined as the most aligned one).
Regret and awareness Accepting that conditioned choices will happen
anyway, can also bring with it enormous freedom from regret about previous choices and
pathways that you might have followed
If you regret some of the twists and turns your life has taken, you could just simply
drop all that right now you were going to do exactly what you ended up doing. So
how ever painful lifes lessons might have been, you can simply let go of any sense of
regret about what happened. Its a toxic emotion which is best to release. So close
your eyes, meditate on them, visualise and see what took place, including who might have
been involved. Realise you had no real choice, and completely drop the regret. Come completely
into self acceptance through forgiveness, of self, and others.
Accepting the choices you made is important, and bringing awareness into them is vital
why?
It may appear in your life as if, at times, theres huge complexity because your
configuration of consciousness is complex and interacts with circumstances based on
a complicated array of conditioning. However if you bring awareness into all the choices
you daily make, then a lot of this complexity will start to naturally fall away, because
the inner density that requires some external fix starts to unravel. You find a natural
pull to simplify your life.
Making the one true choice of Life in any given situation
I put it to you that the soul doesnt make choices as such, because it is not an identity,
with an intention to do a particular thing, other than experience itself through the journey
of life.
In the Openhand Approach, the one true choice that we can ever make, in any given situation,
is to recognise the rightness of the soul, and then to align with it in other words,
to make the choice of your highest truth, which is always aligned with your soul.
The key is the feeling of rightness the soul simply flows from the source
as a streaming river of consciousness that feels right, just as the river flowing
down the mountain or the wind blowing through the trees. In this one moment of now,
the flow can only be spontaneous, although there is consistency in the flow, as one moment
shapes into another, and there is direction. This is because the whole of the Universe
moves as one so there can always be just one moment, yet with directional movement.
So the soul is a streaming flow of consciousness, without intention. Its just acting as an
expression of being and this shapes the creative path. And the most fulfilling, rewarding and
authentic choice we can truly make, is to align with it!
Choices are an invitation to discover something deeper about yourself
In the Openhand Philosophy, the concept of a choice only really happens where theres
confusion about what to do. If there was no internal confusion, the path (of higher self)
would become obvious, without need of a choice (other than to align) rightness simply
unfolds and expresses itself in a particular direction.
The idea of Choice happens where there is some internal convolution some disharmony.
It happens because the flow of the soul within, gets stuck in density, which then manifests
alternate possibilities.
So in any difficult choice, youre hitting internal density. In which case, whats
really being invited is how to liberate the soul. This happens by realising what expression
of soul is now being invited for example, whether strong and courageous, or soft and
surrendering, open and flowing. Just expressing different qualities of soul within a choice
will greatly affect the outcome.
If you understand the various qualities that the soul can express, then look for a new
expression of beingness wanting to come through and express that then the choice of
rightness will make itself. In the events that Openhand runs, unleashing the qualities
of your soul, always figures highly, because its what defines a successful and fulfilled
life of clarity. Here is Openhands view on the various qualities of the Soul.
Unraveling the Soul from the Ego within choice To complicate things, in any given moment,
you could have both the false self ego and the soul creating at the same time. Imagine
it this way:
You have a toy aeroplane with an elastic band up the middle which connects to the propeller.
You wind up the propeller, which builds twisted knots in the elastic band. When its fully
wound up, you throw the aeroplane into the air, upon which it flies, seemingly with directional
purpose. But it is the unwinding of the knots that generates this directional purpose in
how the plane flies.
So it is with the ego and soul. As you cease trying to make false self choices based on
conditioning (because youre feeling the soul more strongly), then youre bringing
awareness to your internal configuration of consciousness and why you do the things you
do. Awareness challenges the old conditioning. And so the ego starts to unwind just like
the knots in the toy aeroplane. This provides energetic impetus forwards and the soul takes
to flight, expressing itself with grace, lightness and flow, just like the aeroplane.
On the Openhand level 2 course 5GATEWAYS, we help people apply the process Openway to
unwind conditioning so as to give wings to the soul.
Feeling liberated and free in your choices What can we take from all this? How does it
make life easier and more aligned?
It means that you dont have to beat yourself up about the choices! Simply do what you feel
to do and then bring awareness to why you did it. If you feel tightness about the choice
or sense of doubt or regret, ask: What was I attached to? How did I need it
to go a certain way? Then challenge whether the attachment actually serves you. Does it
serve you to be governed by fear and control? Does it serve you to be small?
All of these questions begin to bring you into the abode of The One, which needs nothing
from any particular situation, and can readily accept that all situations arose from itself;
that the only thing truly going on, is the expression of self you are self-realising/self
actualising through the events and circumstances of your particular flow.
So relax, let go, and unwind. Give wings to your soul and let it fly!
You may have seen this video before, but I encourage you to watch again anyway, because
I believe it will help feel a greater sense of acceptance, awareness to our choices and
sense
of free flow

Blue Promise: Doctors Need More Information to Save You Money - Duration: 4:45.
[Music]
DAN: Medical cost in Texas are expensive
And it may surprise you but your doctor
doesn't have all the information
they need to be able to know exactly what
that best cost effective care can be
Hello I'm Dr. Dan McCoy and I'm here with
Lee Spangler who's our Vice President of
Government Relations So Lee tell me a
little bit about the restrictions that
physicians have related to this
kind of information cost information
LEE: Well in order for a health plan
in particular the law affects
only insurance carriers to share
cost information and quality information
with other physicians there's quite a long
process that has to...
DAN: like a hurdle?
LEE: Yeah an obstacle that was
actually has to be overcome before
that information can be shared
with other physicians
DAN: Okay so let's put this
in practical terms so that if I were
a physician and I wanted to look up
so a patient came to my office and needed to
see a cardiologist I'm really not
I don't easily have access to the
information on which might be the more
cost effective cardiologists
for that particular patients benefit
LEE: that's right the law actually places
a prohibition subject to achieving those
certain obstacle issues on sharing comparison
information with anyone including physicians
So if you say a physician A is more
expensive or less expensive than
physician B you have to
go through the process that the law outlines
before you can do that
DAN: So it seems like that's a problem
that consumers might want their physician
to be empowered to have that information
LEE: And to be quite frank some physicians
would like that information so that
they can include that in their analysis on
where to send patients
DAN: And that's like physicians in
value-based care programs
or accountable care organizations
where they're managing the Triple Aim
that quality and cost equation
they don't have that information easily either
LEE: No, no they don't not from us anyway
DAN: okay so I'm Going to put you
On the spot now you tried to do
something about that this last legislative
session and it didn't quite work out but
tell us what you were trying to do
LEE: Well what we were trying to do
is actually carve out an exception to that law
so that cost comparison information could be
easily shared with physicians who are
in value-based programs that way they would
know who is the most expensive and least
expensive practitioner in any given specialty
there were some safeguards and
guardrails constructed around that but
unfortunately we were able to get it out
of the House and almost through the Senate
but it didn't make it to third reading
DAN: So if I understand This correctly so that
if a physician was in a value-based care program
like a medical home and a patient that was
their primary care physician and they
liked that care model this would have allowed
the physician to easily have access to knowing
which was the most cost effective and
the physician could use their own internal
quality information to determine what's
the right referral right and have the
whole picture
LEE: exactly it was just giving them another
data point for them to consider which is
a data point that they want to consider
and you're right there was no attempt to
say substitute quality judgments that
physicians have about their community
and they know the practitioners who
specialize in certain ailments and even
though you might have a difference
in say expense they know that
generally they know that
physician can easily most efficiently
handle the most complex issue that
this particular patient might be facing
DAN: It seems like consumers are kind of
increasing their demands on transparency information
I mean I know if I rent a hotel room
right I can get on and I can see stars
and cost and rank and sort
Do you think that that patients
are wanting and demanding more
than information going forward
LEE: Well yes and that's actually
evidenced by the fact that they'll also
look up their physician today
so they're doing it now with this
other consumer related information
So you know they Want to do it with
cost comparison information
that we might have
DAN And information that right might be
more accurate than just some of the stuff
you might find online
LEE: That's right
DAN: Great well Lee thanks for being here
and thanks for joining us for
this episode of Blue Promise

Improving Blended Learning with Audio and Video - Duration: 2:16.
[music plays]
Greetings! Phylise Banner here, Curator of the InSync Blended Learning Hub. As we
progress along our learning journey here in the Hub, we'll dive deeper into the
value of video and audio learning assets, and explore strategies to engage our
learners through storytelling. I encourage you to start off by reading
the blog post on learner engagement. We've been telling stories for millennia,
and storytelling is an important part of human interaction. We need to create
narratives that compel our learners to pay attention and to learn. We can use
audio and video to tell our stories. We have a lot of resources for you to
explore here, including a new infographic on how storytelling can enhance your
audio and video learning resources, and a job aid on audio production tips and
tricks. There's also a new installment in our Effective Practice Scorecard Series.
We're looking at effective practices related to video. Remember - these
scorecards are designed to help you manage the way effective practices are
being observed and implemented within your blended learning design, development,
and delivery solutions. Also, we have a new podcast available for you to listen
to where I interview Laura Goodrich, Global Workforce Innovator, about her
work in cinematic microlearning. Listen in and you'll learn more about the power
of stories in our blended learning solutions. In our Mastery Workshop, we'll
explore methods and approaches for using storytelling to guide your learners
through blended learning video elements. I highly recommend you attend the
workshop. It'll be led by InSync team members Karen Rex and Tom Campbell, and
they both have some fantastic stories. We'd love to hear from you ,so take some
time to share what you've learned here in the Hub, on the job, or in your
Personal Learning Network. Or share a resource that other learners in the Hub
can use as they progress on their learning journeys. Remember, you can
always bring the conversation back to your workplace by downloading and
sharing the campaign card - the Conversation Card - in this month's
campaign. And please share the results of those conversations back here in the Hub.
Enjoy the journey and I'll see you online!
