Put on your sunglasses, because this week we're plugging into the Matrix.
I will be giving you five tips on how to hack your freedom and be the one.
So buckle your seatbelt, Dorothy, because Kansas is going bye-bye.
I'm Roman Ryder, and on this channel, I help you unlock your powers and be the hero of
your story.
If you're new to my channel, make sure you subscribe.
I put out new videos every week, and you don't want to miss out.
Tip number one is take the pill.
One of the most famous scenes in the Matrix is where Morpheus offers Neo the choice of
the blue pill or the red pill.
You take the red pill you stay in wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit goes.
And of course he chooses the red pill, and he goes further down the rabbit hole.
Well, the red pill is really about freedom, and that's kind of the underlying theme of
this whole movie.
Is that you have freedom of choice, and your fate is not set.
When you have opportunities presented to you make sure you choose freedom.
Choose that opportunity, and go after it, because like Agent Smith says, there's billions
of people in this world living completely oblivious, and they're oblivious to all the
opportunities that surround them, and their opportunities to seize their freedom.
Tip number two is to load the software.
Just like Neo needed to learn things in the Matrix, there's things you need to learn as
well.
Just like Neo, you can load the software.
So you need to figure out where you're at, and where you want to be, and what you need
to learn to get there.
So whether it be to advance your career, or get the next promotion, or to start a business,
or to take your business to the next level.
Whatever it is the knowledge is out there, you just have to load the programs and learn
it.
Tip number three is fight the agents.
Morpheus tells Neo that everyone is part of the system, and they want to protect the system,
and anyone can be an agent.
Well, an agent are those people that are telling you that you can't do it.
They're the ones telling you that you can't get that promotion you want, you can't start
the business, you can't get out of your job.
Whatever it is, you have to keep fighting those agents and not let them tell you that
you can't do it.
Tip number four is to shape the world.
The Matrix is a world that is pulled over your eyes to hide the truth.
The truth is that you can make it anything you want it to be.
So just like in the Matrix, the rules can be bent or broken.
Now one of my favorite quotes is from Steve Jobs, and it was a game changer for me.
He said, "That once you realize that everything around you is made up by people that are no
smarter than yourself, then you can change it."
So go out and shape your world.
Tip number five is believe you're the one.
You can't just think you're the one, you have to know you're the one.
I can show you the door, but you have to walk through it.
You have to be willing to hack your freedom.
The Matrix doesn't define Neo, and this world doesn't define you.
Whatever happened in your past doesn't define who you are today.
Don't let it hold you back.
Go out and get the things you want, hack your freedom, and be the one.
I'm going to include a link in the description below to my Facebook group called the Hero
Mastermind.
It's a great place for you to go and connect with other people that are on their journey
to be the one.
A world where anything is possible.

Cardamom-Walnut Cookies | Qozlu Mütəkkə | Азербайджанская Kухня: Мутаки (Рогалики) - Duration: 6:25.
Hi guys. Welcome to AZCookbook. I am Feride. Today we are baking from my cookbook
Pomegranates and Saffron: A Culinary Journey to Azerbaijan. And we are
making these cookies. I decided to recreate them in this kitchen for you and I hope you
get to try to this. It's called mutekke. What it is t is basically is a roll-up
pastry, it's a cookie, filled with nuts of any kind.
I'm using walnuts today but you can use almonds , pistachios, or any any nuts you like.
Walnut is my favorite and it's typical in Azerbaijan. as well. Usually these
cookies are baked for the spring holiday called Novruz that we celebrate in
Azerbaijan, but I bake these for any occasion. I don't wait for the spring to
bake mutekke. Because it's just so good and it's perfect for any time of
the year. Let's get started. For the dough we have 2 and 3/4
cups of all-purpose flour, 4 ounces cold unsalted butter that I cut
into chunks, it needs to be chilled, 1 cup sour cream, 2 large egg yolks. And for the
filling we have walnuts that I coarsely chopped, about 3/4 cup of
walnuts, and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and in the filling we're going to use
cardamom. Let's start with the dough. I have my flour in the bowl already. To the
flour I am adding chunks of chilled unsalted butter and at this point you can use
your hands or you can use a pastry blender to mix the butter into the flour.
What we need to get is fine crumbs, like a sand texture. So I'm
going to use my hands, just rub the butter between your hands
and between your fingers like this until you get that consistency.
This is the texture we're looking for, it's like fine sand all right. And to
this I'm adding 1 cup of sour cream and 2 egg yolks. At
this point I'm going to just give it a stir and use my hands to incorporate
everything together. The dough has come together very nicely, it's not very tight, it's
pliable, it's not sticking to my hands, just perfect. I'm going to cut this
dough into 3 parts and wrap each part in plastic wrap and chill in the
refrigerator for 30 minutes. While the dough is chilling in the refrigerator I'm
going to prepare the filling for the cookies. Let's go. So I have walnuts here
already chopped, take a look at the walnuts. I've chopped them coarsely because I
like to have crunch in the cookies. Before I used to grind them really
finely but now I like this texture more and I have sugar here and the good news
is that if you don't want sugar in the feeling you can reduce the amount, you
can omit it and add something else instead of sugar, so it's your choice. And
did you notice that that we did not have any sugar in the dough, that's another
plus, right? So now the cardamom. This is a cardamom that I'm using. I'm
using green cardamom, it's really fragrant, it happens to be my
favorite spice by the way, and this is the spice that's widely used in
Azerbaijan in pastries and in baking in general. So I have to get the seeds out of
the pods so first thing I have to do I have to crack the pods open. The
shells opened and you can just release these black seeds and we're
going to discard of the shells. Black seeds are out and I'm going to pound them
until I get powdered cardamom. If the cardamom pops out of the
mortar, just add a pinch of sugar on top, it will keep them in the mortar like this. Take a look at the texture. It's powdery.
And all I'm going to do is I am going to combine these 3 ingredients together
Sugar, walnuts, and cardamom. I love cardamom so I'm not shy about
using a lot of cardamom in my filling, but feel free to add it to your taste. For me
the more, the better. [Remove one piece of dough from the refrigerator and roll it out into 11-inch circle]
I am going to cut it into 4 wedges, and then each wedge is going to be cut into 2
more. So we have a total of 8 wedges here. And I'm going to put some stuffing
on top of each one of them. We'll put a teaspoon or a little more on each wedge. Then I'm going
to roll them up. Make sure that the filling doesn't spill out. Like this.
And I am going to put it on my parchment paper lined baking sheet seam side down.
I rolled out the remaining 2 dough balls in the same manner and I filled them up with the
filling. And all my roll-ups are ready to be baked. I've preheated the oven to 380
degrees Fahrenheit and these are going to bake for about 20 minutes until
they're just light golden around the edges. The tops need to remain white. My
roll-up cookies are ready, they have baked beautifully, you can take a closer
look. We have a nice golden bottom and it's light brown around the edges but
the top is nice and white. And this is how it's supposed to be. I'm ready to plate
Alright I've plated the cookies and I'm ready to sift some powdered sugar on top.
Cardamom really is the gist of these cookies, it adds to the flavor a lot, so
please do not omit it, it's a must in these cookies. I hope you try baking these
for yourself and for your loved ones. Get the detailed recipe on my blog
AZcookbook.com. Subscribe to my channel, share it with your friends and thank you
Bye!

12 Struggles Only GIRLS Know! - Duration: 7:34.
12 Struggles Only Girls Know
12.
Hair Difficulties- We all have good and bad hair days.
Often, it seems like we experience bad hair days when we actually want to look cute or
when we're going out.
Not to mention, fixing our hair is time-consuming.
Girls will spend an hour curling their hair, only for it to fall flat in minutes when you
walk out of the door.
Showering also takes a little bit longer because our hair is longer and we have to add in other
hair treatments like hot oil, hair spray, and mousse.
Or sometimes your hair just doesn't want to cooperate; it's too frizzy, too oily
or just too thick.
Even on days when we just want to look simple, and
we tie our hair in a ponytail or bun; nothing says disappointment like your hair tie ripping
or your hair falling out.
11.
Wearing High Heels- Wearing stilettos to look sexy or to complete an outfit comes at a price,
but beauty equals pain.
Nothing is exciting like getting a new pair of heels, and when you try to break it in,
it just ends up breaking you.
Plus there's also the blisters and soreness you get after a long night of dancing.
Don't even think about trying to drive in stilettos, considering the fact we already
walk at a snail's pace to avoid falling; there's no chance you'll catch us trying
to run in them either.
There's also the shooting pain in your arches and the burning sensation in the ball of your
foot.
Then there's the regret we instantly feel when we forget to pack a pair of flats or
flip flops, and we end up walking barefoot at the end of night.
10.
Having the Time of the Month- We all dread that time of the month when mother nature
comes to play.
Meanwhile, everything makes you sad, angry, bloated and everything in between.
Actually the word bloated doesn't even begin to describe the pain, considering the weird
food cravings and cramps, our emotions are everywhere.
There's also the constant worrying of period leakage, and pads and tampons couldn't be
any more uncomfortable.
Plus there's also acne, redness, and sneezing on your period suddenly becomes a terrifying
gesture.
Hiding that Aunt Flo came to visit isn't an easy task either.
We discreetly try to hide it, but sometimes being on our periods has no boundaries.
9.
Shaving- Yes, we know guys shave too.
But when girls shave, it's an entirely different story.
First off, shaving takes a long time, and it requires an enormous amount of shaving
cream.
Sometimes we run out of hot water, and if the razor isn't absolutely sharp, then we
could end up cutting ourselves.
But if the blade is too sharp, we'll likely cut ourselves too.
Razor burns are an absolute pain, and shaving always leaves us with so many red razor bumps!
Plus those razor commercials you see on tv are far from perfect.
Trying to achieve smooth and silky legs will give you an ingrown hair or two.
We also spend an hour shaving in various angles, only to wake up the next morning to find the
hairs sprouting back thicker and longer.
8.
Makeup Imperfections- Where do I even begin?
Makeup can make or break a girl.
No matter what your beauty routine is, every girl has encountered a makeup struggle that
drives us insane.
Winged eyeliner is an art, and it always seems like one wing is always better than the other.
Putting on mascara seems like a simple task until you sneeze and you end up with mascara
streaking across your face.
False eyelashes are a cute add-on, but sometimes they can up being a nightmare when trying
to apply.
There's the risk of jabbing your eyes out and the dread of blinding yourself with eyelash
glue.
Last but not least, contouring can make you look like a million bucks, but perfection
takes time.
A rushed contour application can leave you looking like a clown instead of a doll.
7.
Bathroom Lines- Ugh long bathroom lines are the worst!
But unfortunately, there's no way to avoid it especially if you desperately have to pee.
The first struggle is actually locating the nearest restroom, and it can be a mission
to find if you're at a concert or a nightclub.
Nothing screams danger like trying to hold in your urine when you feel like your bladder
is about to explode.
Plus, it always seems like the line just gets longer and doesn't look like it's moving.
Not to mention, you've managed to wear the tightest jeans you own, and that pesky zipper
stuck!
Maybe now guys will understand why we bring along our girlfriends when we go to the restroom.
Having our gal pals with us makes things a little bit easier.
6.
Gym and Fitness Struggles- You vow to make a change in diet and exercise, but somehow
you find it hard to commit.
Don't feel bad, most girls do.
It doesn't help that food is delicious in general and cutting down on junk food and
desserts requires willpower and strength.
Plus getting into a workout regimen takes time and dedication.
One day we're jogging multiple laps around the gym and the next we're feeling lazy
and sore.
You know that exercise and eating healthy is beneficial, but you just fall right back
into your old routine.
The good part is that we've all been there and honestly the only hard part is just getting
started.
Once you get those muscles pumping, it'll be easier to stick to it!
5.
Pristine Manicures- Getting our nails done makes us feel pampered and girly, but it's
all fun and games until a nail chips, or we mess up our manicure.
We can paint one hand beautifully, but trying to paint our dominant hand leaves it looking
messy and uneven.
There's also the struggle of not waiting long enough for your nails to dry and our
nail polish gets smudged, which means we have to start all over again.
Getting our nails done professionally is an excellent option, but it can be costly.
Factor in booking a nail appointment every two weeks to keep them looking healthy and
pretty definitely racks up!
4.
Hair Removal and Waxing- Whether you wax your eyebrows, legs or bikini area, waxing is a
delicate and lengthy process that isn't for the faint of heart.
The timing of getting a wax job has to be just right to avoid stubble and to achieve
smoothness.
The maintenance of it alone is a full-time job.
Not only is it expensive, but it is painful!
And no that is not an exaggeration.
Treatments like laser hair removal and threading aren't as bad, but it's the redness and
tenderness that comes along with is a hassle.
Plucking also takes up a lot of time and patience, which most of us don't have.
3.
Getting an Outfit Ready-Nothing takes up time like trying to find the perfect outfit.
Whether it's for a date or a girl's night out, we want to look our best.
Even though we may have several outfits already picked out; it's hard to pick just one.
We factor in color combination, the weather, and comfort.
Chances are if we have an outfit in mind, we'll most likely change again; and even
though we have a closet full of clothes nothing seems fit just right.
We'll spend hours trying on different clothes only to find an excuse to go shopping.
Sometimes, we'll also carry back up clothes and shoes just in case of an emergency.
At the end of the night, you'll most likely find out that we've traded in our tight
fitting dress for some loose sweats.
2.
Wearing a Bra- Girls have different kinds of bras for all different occasions, there
are sports bras, strapless, and push up bras.
But no matter how expensive or exquisite your bra is, we can all agree there's nothing
like taking your bra off at the end of the day.
Sometimes wearing a bra can be a significant pain.
They're too tight and itchy, and you constantly have to readjust during the day.
Plus factor in the sticky straps and boob sweat that's accumulated underneath can
make any girl go crazy.
All more the reason to why girls look forward to just ripping off that bra and letting those
puppies breathe!
1.
Panty Wedgies- Whether you're wearing boy shorts, panties or thongs, getting a wedgie
is the worst thing ever!
When it comes down to it, no matter how cute your panties may be, they are uncomfortable
and unpractical to wear.
But we still wear them!
Made up of the thinnest fabric, most thongs don't stay and place and end up digging
into your butt cheeks.
Having a wedgie in public is a disaster because there's nowhere to run and we have to walk
around in discomfort until we can find a private place to adjust.

One Minute Tech: Remarketing Pixels - Duration: 1:14.
Hi this is Nicole and today I want to talk to you a little bit about something
called remarketing pixels. Now you probably noticed that sometimes you go
to a website, right, and you look at something, you don't buy it but you look
at it, and then you're on another website and you see it, on Facebook or
something, and then you see an ad for that same thing that you were just
looking at. So that's called remarketing because basically you've already seen
the thing and the ad is being remarketed to you. Now you may think this is just
for the big guys, only the big data people can do this but Google actually
has a remarketing pixel and Facebook has a remarketing pixel that you can add to
your website and you can track people that have been to your website and if
you pay for advertising on Google or pay for advertising on Facebook, you can
advertise to that group of people. I believe also with these remarketing
pixels you can make them for specific actions like, for example, someone filled
out your email subscription form or someone went to a series of pages. Those
are a little bit more complicated clearly than the just the remarketing
pixel but feel free to check that out as an option and think about installing
them on your website if you do Facebook and Google advertising or at least even
are thinking about it in the future. Thanks for watching, I'll see you in the
next video.

Hugh Hefner's Smoking Jacket: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | CaCao TV - Duration: 8:28.
Hugh Hefner's Smoking Jacket: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know
Hugh Hefner poses at Playboys 60th Anniversary special event on January 16, 2014 in Los Angeles, California. Playboy Magazine founder and sex icon Hugh Hefner has died of natural causes at the age of 91.
Hefner was an entertainment industry legend, creating the Playboy empire in 1953 and building it into one of the most recognizable brands in the world.
Beloved and reviled, he has both been credited with sparking a sexual revolution and with co-opting feminismfor the purposes of female exploitation.
The media titan made innumerable contributions to pop culture, from the legendary parties at the Playboy mansion, to the reality TV show that examined the daily lives of his three girlfriends.
Perhaps the most iconic is his ubiquitous burgundy smoking jacket, an essential part of any Hugh Hefner Halloween costume. Here's what you need to know about Hefner's signature smoking jacket:.
Smoking Jackets Were Popular in the 19th and Early 20th Century, Worn by Hollywood Icons Like Cary Grant and Fred Astaire.
Gettycirca 1929: Warner Baxter (1891 – 1951 ) the distinguished American leading man who started his career on the stage and became a popular hero of silent melodrama although he was also successful in talkies.
Pictured, sitting in a velvet smoking jacket, smoking a pipe. The smoking jacket was born in the late 19th century.
As imported Turkish tobacco became more popular, colorful silk or satin robes were designed for men to wear over their evening attire while retired to the smoking room after dinner, preventing their clothes from getting covered in ash.
Mid-thigh length, the jacket's wide lapels easily caught falling ash, which would then slide off of silk or satin material.
Edward VII, the Prince of Wales at the time, commissioned a more casual, outerwear smoking jacket from Henry Poole & Co. on Saville Row, and the trend took off.
Soon, men were having their portraits painted in smoking jackets instead of formal attire. Hollywood legend Fred Astaire was buried in a smoking jacket when he died in 1987; other famous fans included Cary Grant, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.
The trend didn't fell out of fashion in the mid 19th century, but after Hugh Hefner rose to fame, his signature smoking jacket became synonymous with the Playboy brand.
At the turn of the 21st century, designer brands like Tom Ford and Louis Vuitton attemptedto stage a comeback for the elegant style, but without success. Hef's Signature Jacket Was Burgundy Velvet With Black Silk Lapels.
GettyPlayboy Playmates Kendra Wilkinson (L) and Bridget Marquardt pose with Hugh Hefner at the premiere of The Travel Channel's "Bridget's Sexiest Beaches" held at the Playboy Mansion on March 10, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.
Hefner was most often photographed wearing black pajamas beneath a burgundy velvet smoking jacket with black silk lapels. However, another favored style was a patterned dressing robe made of red silk, also usually worn over black silk pajamas.
He was also occasionally spotted wearing a black smoking jacket with a patterned burgundy silk lapel, or a black silk dressing robe over pajamas.
"I always wear black during the day – black is serious, for taking care of business," he wrote in the Daily Mail. His iconic look was immortalized in the Hollywood Wax Museum in 2001 complete with burgundy smoking jacket.
Hefner Reportedly Owned Over 200 Custom-Made Smoking Jackets and Pajamas.
GettyHugh Hefner and Crystal Hefner attend Playboy Mansion's Annual Halloween Bash at The Playboy Mansion on October 25, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.
"I have 200 pairs of silk pyjamas," Hefner told the Daily Mail in 2007, adding: "I also wear black velvet loafers, which are custom-made for me by Di Fabrizio in Los Angeles. I have 12 pairs.".
According to Hefner, he needed that many pairs of pajamas because he and his girlfriends would spend up to 12 hours a day in bed.
"We watch TV and movies, play games and listen to music. I have a six-foot high-definition TV, Xbox 360 and video projector. Everything is operated by a touch-screen panel next to the bed," he said.
He Started Wearing Smoking Jackets While Working Nights, Then Wore Them All the Time Because He "Could Get Away With It".
GettyHugh Hefner (C) poses with Playboy Bunnies, Playmate of the Year 2013 Raquel Pomplun (2nd L) and Miss December 2009 Crystal Hefner (2nd R) at Playboy's 60th Anniversary special event on January 16, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.
Hefner has become so synonymous with his signature pajamas that the occasions where he donned one of his 35 custom-made Armani suits were rendered disappointing.
"I started wearing them all the time because I was working at night, and then I started wearing them when I entertained," he wrote in the Daily Mail.
After a while, the mogul realized he could wear his pajamas and smoking jacket all the time without consequences. "I realised I could get away with it," he said. "Then, of course, people were disappointed if they didn't find me in pyjamas.".
Who wouldn't wear pajamas to work if they could get away with it?. You Can Buy a Knockoff Online for as Low as $20, or a Tasteful Replica for $450.
Cheap versions of Hef's signature look abound online, and you can snag one for as low as $20 from retailers on Amazon or eBay.
For those looking to complete the look with black pajamas, a Halloween costume like this $55 gem from Amazon might be the way to go. Then there are the die-hard fans who are looking for a near-perfect replica of Hefner's famous jacket.
If you're deep in the pockets, this $450 beautiful jacket from Smokey Joe's Clothing in Chicago might be just up your alley. But fear not, authenticity is still in reach for the rest of us—the Historical Emporium sells this vintage velvet gem for a reasonable $130.

5 Reasons You Should Be Obsessed With American Housewife's Katie Otto - Duration: 3:29.
5 Reasons You Should Be Obsessed With American Housewife's Katie Otto
Few television characters capture our attention quite like Katie Otto of American Housewife. With her ability to make any situation hilarious, Katie speaks to our mom alter egos and encourages us to shamelessly embrace our eccentricities.
During season one, Katie offers us our first peek into her unique world in Westport, CT, with her husband, Greg; her daughters, Taylor and Anna-Kat; and her son, Oliver.
Narrated by Katies hysterical and refreshingly honest inner monologue, the show follows the unconventional familys attempts to make their mark on a community that needs a major reality check.
This season, the gang is back with even bigger and funnier family fiascos. Read on for five reasons were captivated by Katies season two exploits, and dont forget to tune into the shows premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 9:30/8:30 C on ABC!
1. Katies Still Owning Her Odd Mom Out Status at School
Season one sees Katie shy away from friendships with many of her yoga-pant-wearing, green-juice-drinking peers in favor of relationships with parents who place less emphasis on superficiality.
Katies outrageous antics with fellow moms have grown even kookier since last year, beginning with an attempt to avoid volunteering at school. Katies actions ultimately land her the high-pressure gig of planning the perfect Spring gala.
2. Katie and Gregs Dynamics Are Funnier Than Ever
Katie and Gregs relationship is depicted as blissfully imperfect in season one, demonstrating the give and take required of a couple with a boisterous young family.
And anyone who has experienced an #epicfail while trying to connect with their spouse can relate to Katie and Gregs relationship.
Season two will give viewers even more of the comical relationship dynamics they love, as Greg serves to counterbalance Katies eccentricities and pursuit of realness.
3. Katies Quest For Me Time Continues to Cause Debacles
Parenthood is a delicate balance of me time and we time, and season two of American Housewife strikes up a hysterical conversation on the subject as Katie continues to fight for her right to relax.
Katies tranquility-seeking struggle is real in season one, and this next chapter of her life serves up even more thwarted chances to kick back.
Katie dreams of the day when Taylor gets her license so that she can luxuriate in the notion of infinite free time — until she recalls that a moms work is never quite done.
4. Katies Devotion to Her Second Breakfast Crew Is #Goals
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and Katie enjoys an encore of the meal every morning with her best friends after school drop-off.
Season two offers viewers another chance to applaud Katies gung-ho attitude toward her second breakfast squad.
5. Katie Inspires Her Family to Disrupt the Status Quo
Katie loves to march to the beat of her own drummer, and her delightfully radical behavior continually encourages the family to challenge the communitys norms.
From Katie and Anna-Kats dramatic splash at the town pool to Katies ability to change even volunteering at the school into a competition, the Otto family turns nonconforming into an art form.
Season two delves deeper into the complexity that is modern family life and reveals a refreshingly real portrait of having it all. As Katie and the gang prove, oftentimes a familys so-called flaws are actually their most endearing qualities.

TMIN News 09: After You File - Duration: 8:05.
MARK TRADEMAN, TMIN NEWS ANCHOR: Thanks for staying with us in
our continuing coverage of critical application issues for
trademark filers.
As before, if you want to avoid delays in the prosecution of
your initial application, you must pay attention to the
following important tips.
First, remember that registration is not
instantaneous or guaranteed.
Each application must be reviewed for legal requirements
and this takes time.
Although your application usually will begin to be
examined within 3 months, final disposition may be months or
years down the road.
You may need to respond to refusals or requirements issued
by the examining attorney handling your case, submit
additional documents, and pay additional fees.
This is especially true if you filed under the Intent to
Use basis.
You will be required to submit additional forms and you will be
required to pay additional fees.
DARRYL R., ORGANIC FARMER: Yeah, I expected it right away.
Like, renewing your driver's license.
You know, pay your money, get your certificate.
But it turns out there's all this law stuff and everything's
gotta be just perfect.
It's kinda like a little legal proceeding, except done over
the Internet.
TRADEMAN: Second, make sure to use the electronic resources
provided to you by the Office.
The USPTO.GOV website allows you to do many things on-line.
You can search for conflicting marks, file an application, and,
once your application has been received, check the status of
your application.
You can also view and download all the documents and
information in your file.
MICHELE M., ATTORNEY: No, it's great!
I just pop in my serial number and it tells me if anything is
happening with my application.
That way I don't have to keep calling the examining attorney
to find out what's going on.
So much easier and so much less time consuming.
TRADEMAN: For details on our third, and related, tip, I sat
down with Grant Gainsworth, TMIN's Senior News Analyst.
Grant, I understand that viewers have been reporting they've been
receiving Notices of Abandonment and they're not sure
why. Could you tell the viewers what's going on?
GRANT GAINSWORTH, TMIN SENIOR NEWS ANALYST: Sure thing, Mark.
Based on my conversations with applicants, it turns out they
didn't realize they needed to file additional paperwork.
For example, they didn't know they needed to respond to an
Office Action, or file a Statement of Use, or file some
other type of document.
As a result, when the Office didn't receive the proper
paperwork, it had no choice but to abandon the applications.
TRADEMAN: Is there any way to prevent this from happening?
GAINSWORTH: There sure is.
Check your application status every 3 or 4 months.
The electronic resource you use to check your status is called
the Trademark Status and Document Retrieval system, or
TSDR. Take a look.
You can use TSDR to see a summary of all the actions in
your application file and to make sure you don't miss
a deadline.
TSDR also allows you to look at, print, and download all the
documents in your file.
Reading these documents will make sure you stay up to date on
any refusals or requirements.
MARSHA T., IN-HOUSE COUNSEL: Oh, without a doubt.
I used to bring an extra bag, lugging those paper
files around.
Now I just get into TSDR, download the action I need to
respond to, and everything's on my laptop.
It's perfect when I'm flying cross-country!
TRADEMAN: Are there any other items that applicants need to
stay up to date on?
GAINSWORTH: There sure are.
As an applicant, it is your responsibility to make sure the
Office can communicate with you.
The Office most likely will be communicating with you via
e-mail, so make sure your correspondence information,
including your current e-mail address, is up to date in the
Office records.
If you treat Office e-mails as spam, or you respond after the
deadline, or you fail to respond at all, your application will go
abandoned. And you will not be issued a refund.
CONNOR L., MBA GRADUATE STUDENT: I kept having to change my
e-mail, 'cause of grad school and I never updated my stuff on
the USPTO website.
So, I missed a filing, my stuff went abandoned, and I lost all
this time and money.
I'll tell you, it's genius, though.
For the app that I have in right now, it's so easy.
All you have to do is go to the Change of Correspondence Address
form and put in your new e-mail. Simple.
TRADEMAN: Anything else applicants should keep in mind?
GAINSWORTH: Just remember: check your application status every 3
to 4 months and make sure you keep your correspondence
information up to date.
That should help keep you from getting a Notice of Abandonment.
TRADEMAN: Thanks, Grant.
GAINSWORTH: Anytime.
TRADEMAN: That was Grant Gainsworth, with our highly
valuable third tip.
Fourth, if you have questions, ask.
If you're having technical difficulties, contact the TEAS
Help Desk by e-mailing TEAS@USPTO.GOV.
For general information, contact the Trademark Assistance Center
by calling 1-800-786-9199.
Or, once your case has been assigned to an examining
attorney, you may contact the examining attorney
with questions.
Additional contact information is available through
the "Contact Us" link on the website.
In addition, you may hire an attorney who specializes in
trademarks to represent you before the Office.
FATIMA S., YOGA/PILATES INSTRUCTOR: Well, as soon as I
read the refusal letter from the USPTO examining attorney, I
realized I was in way over my head.
So, I looked on-line and checked with my state bar association
and found a trademark lawyer to hire.
And, you know, I'm glad I did because she was able to work
everything out for me and I got my registration.
TRADEMAN: Fifth, beware of solicitations that resemble
official documents.
You may receive unsolicited communications from non-USPTO
entities offering trademark monitoring, document filing, and
representational services.
These businesses are not affiliated with the Trademark
Office and you are not required to retain their services in
order to prosecute your trademark application.
If you wish to pay for monitoring services or hire an
attorney to represent you, you may, but the services are not
required by or in any way affiliated with the USPTO.
For more information, be sure to watch the TMIN "Solicitation
Alert" broadcast, available on USPTO.GOV/TMvideos.
WESLEY D., EDUCATION CONSULTANT: Yes.
Some of these communications can be confusing at first.
Some of them look very official.
They even use my serial number and my mark.
But once I looked at the fine print, I realized that these
notices didn't even come from the USPTO.
TRADEMAN: A transcript of this report, a list of these critical
application issues, and a link to the Trademark Processing
Timelines are all available on the Trademark Information
Network page on USPTO.GOV/TMvideos.
Remember, these are all general guidelines and may not
be directly applicable to your case.
They are, however, essential suggestions to prevent your mark
from going abandoned.
For more information, to replay these broadcasts, and to view
upcoming broadcasts, keep it locked right here on USPTO.GOV.

TMIN News 16: Solicitation Alert - Duration: 8:08.
MARK TRADEMAN, TMIN NEWS ANCHOR: Hello, everyone.
Thanks for staying with us during our continuing coverage
of SolicitationGate.
We have more breaking news coming your way.
If you're just joining us, the United States Patent and
Trademark Office has reported that numerous applicants and
registrants (viewers just like you) have been solicited by
companies using the public information of record in the
USPTO database.
I repeat: private companies not affiliated with the USPTO are
using your trademark application and registration information to
send you official-looking solicitations.
We'll discuss the specifics in a moment, but first, my interview
with someone who received such solicitations: Sarah Thomas.
In the interest of her privacy, she has asked that we not use
her real name.
It was from this quiet street in Alexandria, Virginia that Sarah
first filed a trademark application with the USPTO.
As required by the application, she included her
mailing address.
And soon, her mailbox was stuffed with these.
Solicitations.
All from private companies not affiliated with the USPTO, all
of them asking Sarah to pay money for various services.
SARAH THOMAS: Well, it was confusing.
Because I had already paid fees to the USPTO and then these
letters started coming in, asking me for additional fees.
And I'm a small business.
I couldn't afford that.
TRADEMAN: So, what did you do?
THOMAS: Well, something just did not seem right.
I mean, they looked official and all.
It had my name, the application number, but the names and the
fees just seemed off.
It was registration companies or compliance companies and some
even asked for money in Euros...
TRADEMAN: Well, did you respond to any of them?
THOMAS: No, no.
I actually went on to the USPTO website and they have an entire
page devoted to this, with examples and explanations to
tell consumers to beware of these types of solicitations.
TRADEMAN: That's right.
The USPTO website shows real-world examples of
solicitation letters.
Now, some of these companies do offer legitimate services, but
some of them try to mislead you into thinking that you're
dealing with the USPTO and some of them try to mislead you into
paying money that isn't required.
Sarah's story, however, has a happy ending.
THOMAS: Well, I got my registration.
And after I looked at the USPTO website, I learned that I did
not need any of the services that were being offered in
this letter.
Rather, I learned that official communications from the USPTO
will say "United States Patent and Trademark Office" and
they'll be sent from the Alexandria, Virginia address, or
from an e-mail "@uspto.gov."
Otherwise, I can ignore them.
TRADEMAN: And now for some information you
shouldn't ignore.
When you file a federal trademark application, your
mailing address and email address become part of the
public record.
Private companies analyze the information in the USPTO
database to send applicants and registrants solicitations for
various trademark-related services.
The notices often look official.
They appear as invoices and may require inflated or
"past due" fees.
Some of them even make it seem like the law requires you to pay
these fees.
The letters may refer to your trademark, your application
serial number, or your registration number.
They may contain "U.S.," "United States," "Office," or "Agency"
in the company name and letterhead.
The USPTO is not sending these documents and you are not
required to respond to them.
You are only required to respond to documents and emails sent by
the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Be aware, however. Not all solicitations are the same.
Some solicitations offer to provide legal services, such as
assistance with responding to an official communication from the
USPTO about your application.
These services are often helpful, as the registration
process is, in fact, a legal proceeding.
So, before you sign up for any service, research the company
and make sure that an attorney experienced in trademark law
will be overseeing the work that is done for you.
Other solicitations offer assistance with filings that the
law requires, but fail to disclose their own fee levels
inside the offer.
For example, once your mark is registered, the law requires
that you submit registration maintenance and renewal
documents and pay fees at certain times.
Some solicitations offer to submit these documents for you,
but inflate the true cost of filing by charging you fees that
are higher than the law requires.
Information about these filings and fees and all the forms you
need to make them are available on the USPTO.GOV website.
While you can complete the forms yourself using the website,
generally the USPTO recommends consulting with an experienced
trademark attorney to help you with these (and other) filings.
Remember that only an attorney may represent you
before the Office.
Most trademark filing, maintenance, and monitoring
companies may not.
There are also solicitations for unnecessary services, like
listing your trademark in a private trademark registry.
While you may choose to sign up for these services, please be
aware that the USPTO has the only official database of
federally registered and applied-for trademarks in the
United States.
And once you've paid your USPTO application fee, your trademark
is automatically listed in the public database; you do not need
to pay additional fees to be listed.
So, to avoid confusion, be sure to read each document carefully
before making a decision about whether to respond.
The USPTO does not endorse any of these private services and
you are not required to use the services they provide.
And note, as Sarah did, that all official correspondence about
your application or registration will either be mailed from the
"United States Patent and Trademark Office" in Alexandria,
Virginia or emailed from "@uspto.gov."
If you receive a trademark-related solicitation
that you believe may be a scam, you can file a consumer
complaint with the Federal Trade Commission: www.FTC.gov.
If you've been misled by one of these solicitations into paying
money unnecessarily, the USPTO would like to know about it.
Please e-mail TMFeedback@uspto.gov.
You'll be asked to provide information about the exchange,
including a copy of the solicitation.
Although the USPTO cannot refund any money paid (you need to
contact the individual company for that or seek legal
assistance), the information will help the USPTO raise public
awareness of the issue.
And it may prevent other trademark owners from making the
same mistake.
For more information about these solicitations, and to see more
examples of them, visit USPTO.GOV and pull up the
non-USPTO solicitations web page.
You'll see how official these documents can look.
You can also call the Trademark Assistance Center at
1-800-786-9199 for additional details.
In the meantime, stay safe, read carefully, and good luck...

White tailed deer seem to be always around us,

impacted by human development, it is just the
opposite for the whitetails.

How To Treat And Prevent Ringworm With Your Diet - Duration: 2:26.
How to Treat and Prevent Ringworm with your Diet
Ringworm is caused by a fungus, not a parasite and making nutritional changes have been shown
to be very effective in helping your body to treat fungal infections.
If you have ringworm then on inspecting it you will find the rash to be round, have raised
edges, will itch.
If it is on your scalp, you will notice bald patches forming.
When you will see your doctor he will take a skin sample to inspect more closely and
will most likely prescribe an anti-fungal treatment.
You are more susceptible to getting a ringworm infection if your immune system is compromised
or weak.
This is where eating a healthy and balanced diet can really make a difference.
Just by adding carrots, spinach, hot peppers and kale to your diet, you will help your
body to produce vitamin A. This will help with the repair of skin tissues and may assist
in the prevention of scars forming as your skin heals from the fungal infection.
Including eggs, dairy products, fish and liver which are also rich in vitamin A in your diet
will boost your immune system and will support your body to destroy the fungus in your body.
You can also take a multivitamin daily and a probiotic to introduce healthy bacteria
enter your gut.
You should avoid foods that are high in sugar such as baked goods, sweets, pasta, white
rice, breads and dried fruits.
Some of the home remedies which you can incorporate into your daily life are:
1.
Drink a glass of warm water with lemon squeezed into it every morning.
This will help in alkalising your system making it less habitable for fungi.
2.
Add garlic and onions into your food items as they have anti-fungal properties.
3.
Apple cider vinegar can also help in restoring the balance to your gut and skin.
We hope the above tips will help you in getting rid of ringworm.

TMIN News 17: Rockin' the Trademark - Duration: 10:28.
MARK TRADEMAN, TMIN NEWS ANCHOR: Hello, everyone.
And welcome to a Trademark Information Network Special
Report: "Rockin' the Trademark." This one is dedicated to all you
bands, singers, and other musical artists out there to
help you navigate the federal trademark registration process.
At first, applying for a trademark registration might
seem as difficult as the trickiest time signature, but
with a little information, your mark can record the greatest
recognition of all: a federal trademark registration.
And the right to use the "R in the circle" symbol with
your mark.
To help us along today, we have Camille Ki Kwon, our
Investigative Reporter, who will be taking us through three of
the largest pitfalls for musicians filing applications.
Camille, I guess that makes you lead vocals for today.
CAMILLE KI KWON, INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER: I guess so!
But what does that make you, Mark?
TRADEMAN: Oh, buried in the rhythm section, I guess, where I
can't do too much damage.
Maybe a tambourine?
Or a set of bongos?
KWON: No...
TRADEMAN: Take it away, Camille.
KWON: Thanks, Mark.
We receive lots of questions from bands and other musical
artists about problems they run into during the
application process.
These issues fall into three main areas: identifying the
applicant, identifying the goods and services, and submitting
acceptable specimens.
Let's go through them, one by one.
EDUARDO RIVERA: What's up, Trademark people.
We want to register our band name as a trademark, but we're
confused by the application.
LAUREN RUTH WARD: I'm filling out the application.
Do I put my name down?
Do I put everybody's name down?
Do I put the band's name down?
What do we do?
KWON: Good question.
This section often confuses applicants and they identify
themselves incorrectly.
It may seem like a simple concept, but it's trickier than
it looks.
And it's incredibly important.
If the applicant is identified incorrectly, your application
may be void and you must start all over, losing valuable time
and your non-refundable filing fee.
With a little info, though, we can keep that from happening.
The first thing to do is to figure out who owns
the trademark.
Do you own it individually?
As a group?
Or maybe you formed a legal entity that owns the trademark.
Like a corporation, LLC, or business partnership.
The answer to this question determines how you fill out the
application form.
For the most part, bands and other musical artists file
either as individuals or joint applicants.
That's because they haven't filed paperwork with their
states to form corporations, LLCs, or partnerships.
And that's OK.
The important thing is to identify your entity status
correctly on the trademark application form.
Let's say Mark over here is a singer/songwriter and wants to
register his name as a trademark for his entertainment services.
Let's also assume he owns the trademark as an individual and
hasn't, say, incorporated his entertainment business.
In the electronic application form, he would enter his name,
last name first ("Trademan, Mark").
Click that he is an "Individual" and then select United States as
his citizenship.
And then fill out the rest of the form.
And that's how it works if you own the trademark as
an individual.
If Mark and I have a band together, though, and haven't
formed a legal entity for our band, we'd fill it out this way.
The first page could stay the same, because we co-own the mark
as individuals.
Note that we are not a legally formed Partnership and we are
not a Joint Venture.
Those entities require filing paperwork with the state.
Instead, we are "joint applicants." So, at the bottom
of the page, we would click "Add Owner" and fill out the second
page for me.
And that's how it works if you co-own the trademark with
another person or party.
You click "Add Owner," allowing you to file as Joint Applicants.
If your band has more members, keep adding owners until all
parties are identified in the application.
In this case, if the band has not formed a legal entity (like
a corporation or LLC), the band members are all
joint applicants.
And they all need to be named as individual owners in
the application form.
GIA MORA: Hey, guys.
I'm Gia Mora and I am scheduling a national tour of my one-woman
show, EINSTEIN'S GIRL, and I would like to register a
trademark for my live act.
But I'd also like for it to cover the CDs and the t-shirts
and the swag and everything else I sell while I'm on the road.
So, I would love a little help!
Thank you so much! Ciao!
KWON: Sure thing, Gia.
Accurately identifying your goods and services is a very
big issue.
But it becomes very simple when you think about it carefully.
Are you using your mark on actual physical products?
Goods? Or are you performing an activity for someone.
A service.
Typically, live performances are a service.
As are retail store and on-line retail store services where you
sell your CDs, downloads, and t-shirts.
That's in contrast to all of the physical products that you sell
in your store; those are goods.
Here are the most common identifications.
Entertainment services, namely, live performances by a
musical band.
Retail store and on-line retail store services featuring
pre-recorded music CDs, downloadable music files,
stickers, posters, t-shirts, jackets, and hats.
Pre-recorded music CDs and downloadable music files.
Stickers and posters.
Clothing, namely, t-shirts, jackets, and hats.
And these are the basics.
You might have more, less, or different goods and services,
but these identifications cover most of the services and swag
that musical artists typically associate with their trademarks.
Remember, however, that goods and services are placed in
different International Classes.
CDs and downloads are identified in Class 9.
Stickers and posters in Class 16.
Clothing in Class 25.
Retail store services in Class 35.
And entertainment services in Class 41.
Each International Class requires a separate filing fee
and a separate example of how you actually use your mark in
commerce; it's called a specimen.
So, before you file for every good that you sell or service
that you perform, be sure to decide whether you need to
protect your trademark for every single product (down to pens and
buttons) or whether you just want to register your mark for
your entertainment services and maybe your clothing articles.
The choice is yours and depends on how much protection you think
you need and how much money you want to spend in filing fees.
If you're not sure, you may wish to consider hiring an
experienced trademark attorney to advise you.
D SMOOVE: What's up, y'all. I'm a DJ and I want to protect
my brand.
So, what exactly is this specimen thing and what kind do
I need to submit with my application.
KWON: A specimen is evidence of how the public encounters your
mark in the marketplace.
What type of specimen you need to submit depends on whether you
have goods or services.
For example, if you have services, like "disc jockey
services," you may submit advertising as a specimen.
You could submit a screenshot of your webpage.
Or maybe a poster or flyer that shows your mark being used in
the advertising of your services.
Remember, though, that your specimen may not be advertising
for an upcoming gig.
The specimen must show use of the mark for a past performance.
Also remember that your specimen must show use of the mark in
connection with your services.
Here, "disc jockey services." Your specimen cannot just show
that you use the name.
It must show use of the name in connection with the
underlying services.
If you use your mark on goods, like "t-shirts," you may submit
photographs showing the mark appearing on the labeling or
packaging for the goods.
You could submit a picture of the mark appearing on a
t-shirt label.
Or a t-shirt hangtag.
Even the mark appearing in a traditional trademark location
on the t-shirt.
Remember, though, that not all uses of a mark on clothing show
acceptable specimen use.
If the mark appears in large size across the front of a
shirt, wraps around the shirt, or appears as a repeated pattern
on the shirt, that is considered decorative or ornamental.
And a USPTO examining attorney may issue an ornamental refusal.
For more information about ornamental refusals, be sure to
check out the "Ornamental Refusal" webpage on USPTO.GOV.
In addition, remember that you cannot register your name or
band name for sound recordings if it is used as a title of a
single work or solely to identify you as an artist.
Your specimens must show evidence that you use the mark
for a series of recordings.
So, at least two albums or CDs.
You must also either show evidence that your name is
promoted and recognized as the source of the series or that you
control the quality of your recordings, as well as the use
of your name.
This topic is often confusing, so be sure to check out the
"Rockin' the Trademark" webpage on USPTO.GOV or consult
an attorney.
So, that's a specimen.
It shows how you are actually using the mark in commerce in
connection with your goods and services.
And that's it: answers to the three questions most bands ask
when applying for a federal trademark registration.
How do I correctly identify the owner of the mark.
What are the most common acceptable identifications of
goods and services for bands and musical artists.
And what are acceptable specimens for these types of
goods and services.
TRADEMAN: Excellent. Thanks, Camille.
Now, what about information on other trademark issues that
musical artists might face.
For example, what happens to a trademark when a band breaks up?
KWON: Good question.
The USPTO's "Rockin' the Trademark" webpage is a
great resource.
Not only does it provide more details about the three topics
we've covered, it also discusses more complex trademark issues,
such as how a band's dissolution impacts trademark rights.
TRADEMAN: Any other resources you'd recommend?
KWON: Certainly.
The Trademarks section of USPTO.GOV has a wealth
of information.
There are Trademark Frequently Asked Questions.
A downloadable Basic Facts About Trademarks booklet.
Plus, individual videos about Applicants, Goods and Services,
and Specimens as part of the larger Trademark Information
Network series.
TRADEMAN: And that does it, folks.
On behalf of Camille and myself, thanks for watching.
I'm Mark Trademan, Trademark Information Network.
I should head home and work on my tambourine technique.
KWON: Or maybe the cow bell!
TRADEMAN: Oh yes. You always need more cow bell...
