Hi, my name is Sachin and today's video is going to talk about Tips for Face to
Face Fundraisers. So if you are a Face to Face Fundraiser
yourself, or if you are in the world of charity, or if you are interested in
knowing about Face to Face Fundraising this is the right place to be.
Tip number one: Be on time. As Face to Face Fundraisers one thing that we should
never ever do is reach late to the venue. No matter where the venue is if
there is a given time that you're supposed to be there make sure that you
are there. People will respect you for that
Tip number Two: Don't be afraid to approach as many people as you can.
Don't be scared of them when you're there, out there,
the people that are passing by you, stop them, ask permission to talk to them.
The more number of people that you talk to the better it will be.
Tip number Three: Know your subject. Very, very important as a Face to Face
Fundraiser if you're going to be asking people to donate to your cause every
month one thing that they should definitely know is what cause they are supporting.
The more you know about the organization the better it is and it will help you.
Tip number Four: Targets. Never ever be scared of them. Targets are a by-product
of what you do before that. Do your number of approaches, talk to the required
number of people, know your subject and you will meet your targets month after month.
Tip number Five: I am looking right into your eyes. Make sure that when
you're talking to people at different locations you maintain eye contact.
Don't look here and there. Talk to them right in the eye. If they have to say no,
they should say no after looking into your eyes. Make sure that you do maintain eye contact that's absolutely important.
Tip number Six: Law of Average. You might have heard
of this term but let me explain it to you. It's very simple. If you approach 100 people
then ten people will stop listen to your presentation, and if ten people stop and
listen to your presentation at least one of them will definitely, definitely,
contribute to your cause. So make sure that you are approaching
the right number of people so you give the right presentations.
and then you get sign ups (Donors)
Tip number Seven: Very important, Ask questions.
As fundraisers, we might not have all the information in this world, but what
should not stop us is asking questions and getting as much information as you
can. This is something that will help you not only in your fundraising career, as a
fundraiser, but will help you grow as well the more information that you have the
better it will be at a job.
Tip number Eight: Celebrate your successes and your failures.
Success is fine because we all celebrate successes, but as
a team, our job is very, very tough and it's important that when we have
those tough days, tough times, we come together as a team and we celebrate.
Tip number Nine: Never force somebody to put money into your cause.
Convince them and try to inspire them
by the work that your organization does but never force them.
A donor that you acquire by forcing someone will never stay with you.
That loyalty will never be there. A good fundraiser will
always get donors who are good quality donors who were not being acquired by forcing
So never do that.
And Tip number Ten: Have lots of fun!
As fundraisers our job is really, really tough. The reason I have been in fundraising
for the last 16 years is because I've had great fun doing this job. I know that
this job is bringing about a lot of change. I have worked with amazing sets
of people so make sure that you enjoy what you do. This whole process is a
learning process and you should have fun.
So those were my 10 tips, I hope you found them useful
stay tuned because I will be sharing
many more tips that I have learned in my fundraising experience with you all and
the most important thing- Never Lose Hope!

Did you see Arsenal's classy gesture to honour Emiliano Sala against Cardiff? - Duration: 3:06.
The Gunners beat the Premier League strugglers 2-1 at the Emirates with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette netting
Cardiff were playing for the first time since the light aircraft carrying Sala to join his new team- mates disappeared over the English Channel last Monday
The striker had signed from French side Nantes though no trace of the plane, being flown by pilot David Ibbotson, has been found and an official search has been called off
Sala's family have continued a private search and have raised almost $420,000 (£320,000) on a GoFundMe page
Arsenal honoured the Argentine ahead of the match on Tuesday night with skipper Mesut Ozil also laid a floral tribute to the 28-year-old
He was joined by Cardiff captain Sol Bamba with daffodils, the Welsh national flower, being carried onto the pitch
Arsenal had also listed Sala in Cardiff's squad in the matchday programme, with a daffodil symbol rather than a squad number next to his name
An image of Sala was shown on the video screens around the ground as the teams paid their respects pre-match
Cardiff fans were also seen holding up yellow placards in the away end, the club colour of Nantes
"It is very difficult to even describe how the players are feeling," Bamba said. "It is a very unusual situation, a big tragedy
"We have all been affected by it, the lads, the city, the whole club. "We have had some help
We travel by plane and some of the lads have been thinking 'I don't want to go on it anymore
' "It was that deep, the gaffer [Neil Warnock] has been good and the club have been good in terms of bringing someone in to talk to if we need to
"And I think some of the lads do, they need to get it out. So I think it was good thinking from the club and the gaffer and hopefully in the weeks to come we are going to feel better
" Cardiff's first home game since Sala's disappearance sees them host Bournemouth on Saturday (5
30pm).

5 Illustrator Features You DON'T KNOW! - Duration: 6:20.
today I have five illustrative features that you might not know so follow along
and see how many of the five features in today's list you previously did not know
as designers it's important to have a website to show off our portfolio of
work bookmark offers the most straightforward and quickest way to
generate an awesome website without even having to write down a single line of
code and all completed in the matter of minutes check out the link in the
description below to learn more about bookmark and design your website today
to demonstrate the first feature I have the isometric design from Monday's video
and if you missed that tutorial then go back to my channels home page and check
it out if you want to now often when working on a design in Illustrator we
need to zoom into different scales and view our work in different ways it can
be annoying to navigate to run a design especially it's pretty large and
complicated you can of course utilize the zoom to selection option which I
have shown you all before but today's feature is possibly even more useful
than mats now under the View menu you're gonna notice that at the very bottom
it reads Sun Lounger and purple stairs and if I click either/or I'm transported
to these parts of my design and also in the exact zoom item location that I want
to use now this is really handy indeed and to set this kind of feature up
simply zoom in to a part of your design or in this example my entire design and
then come into view and click new view
give it a relevant name and then from now on when you click that view on a
specific document illustrator is going to bring you there in an instant just
like that
now for the second illustrator feature that you might not know I'm going to
expand on a previously existing feature that you probably already know about
when pressing L for the ellipse tour and generating a circle we can then go ahead
and grab the type on a path tool this tool allows us to type along a vector
path and it works for any shape or path
however there are settings you can access in the top drop-down menu that is
going to allow you to have a better control over your text along a path so
now I have my text ready I can come into the type menu and then choose type on a
path in the new panel that appears I have a myriad of different options and
settings open to me as a designer the first ones I don't really use that often
to be honest and these are dedicated to the style of the text around the circle
and also make sure to click the preview box to see your changes in real time
however the align to path settings are very very handy and you can control the
layout of the text in relation to the path itself also in the top right you
have the choice to flip the text and also adjust the spacing below this
window is really handy for adjusting text on a path and not so many people
know about it for some reason
now the third illustrator feature that you might not know is a quick function
when using the rotate tool with an object selected press R for the rotate
tool and then drag your point of rotation to the desired location often
we then click and type measurements for rotations however you can simply hold
down the alt option key and then click and drag your objects and for this
example I'm going to use 45 degrees and then finally press command or control D
multiple times over now the use of the alt/option key can really be useful and
time-saving in certain situations when using the rotate tool moving on to the
fourth illustrator feature in today's tutorial I'm gonna show you a neat way
to use guides and the align window if you can't see the align settings in the
top of your interface simply open up the align window like so now sometimes we
want guides exactly across the middle of the artboards and that can be quite
tricky and also a tedious to count the measurements but if you use the align
window and also the align to artboard option you can highlight your guides and
then align them accordingly in a matter of seconds of course this doesn't just
apply to centralizing the guides on the out board you can also snap them to the
edges as well and that's obviously super precise and quick too
now the last feature again relates to using guides and it's a quick trick
using the adoption key when dragging the guides from the left they are vertical
but that is until you hold down the alt/option key and then click and drag
again this is helpful because you can pull guides from the same ruler location
and still choose to bring vertical or horizontal guides depending on what you
need to use I like to keep my tool bar able the left hand side rulers and just
drag guides from the top using this method so there are five features in
Illustrator that you might not know let me know how many things you learned
today down in the comment section below and next week I have more graphic design
theory based videos and on Friday this week I've got another test type video so
stay tuned for that content guys like and share content on social media if you
want help on my channel and also maybe support me on patreon if that's
something you'd be interested in have a great day and until next time design
your future today peace
