Hi! Today from London! Today we will talk about how will crypto market behave in the global financial crisis. See you in the next part.
[Music]
When you watch the predictions I gave some time ago (I will connect them here and below this video).
You will know that I predicted a global financial crisis this year.
And in comments / via email I got questions how the crypto market / Bitcoin would behave in global financial crisis?
What would be the effect / impact on the crypto world / crypto market of this crisis?
And in this video I will answer these questions and tell you what aspects do we need to look at, what aspects do we need to consider.
First of all, historically, in times of uncertainty people flee from risky assets into safe assets.
Historically they were fleeing into real estates, gold from the stock market, from maybe cash because they were seeing it as more safe and stablee.
And there is this conception that Bitcoin gold like. Actually I have shown to you that Bitcoin is much harder money than gold is.
In the video "Bitcoin vs Gold" that I will attach here and you will find the link below this video
You will find the explanation why it is so. Bitcoin has zero production elasticity in comparison to gold that has very low production elasticity
But still has a positive production elasticity and you will know what it means when you will watch this other video.
But generally, economically Bitcoin is much harder money than gold.
So, actually when you take it rationally, in times of uncertainty, in times of financial crisis people should flee from any asset into Bitcoin
Because this is the hardest money. Even from gold into Bitcoin; from real estates, from, of course, stock market, cash and so on...
But the thing is Bitcoin doesn't have the perception of safe money. Bitcoin has the perception of risk, of risky asset.
So, in reality we may see the mainstream flee away actually from crypto into other assets like real estate or like gold in crisis.
Of course, the people who undeerstand the economics of Bitcoin, they would go the other way.
But it doesn't mean the mainstream will do it because people take the decisions based on their knowledge and their perception.
Their perception of gold is safety, but their perception of Bitcoin or crypto is risky.
So, this is something we have to take under consideration.
On the other hand crypto has bleeded already 90% of its value. The market cap of the crypto markeet has lost 90% of its value.
That means that crypto has gone down a lot already. So, it may happen that in the crisis it won't go down anymore.
And people will not believe that it will go down more. So, they may consider crypto or Bitcoin in particular as a better option to invest; or safer option
Because they may think it may not go down anymore.
Because the fall of crypto preceded the fall of the stock market.
So, this is the other aspect we need to think in the psychology or in the dynamics of the market.
And the next aspect we need also to understand is the following.
It will be very dependent on the moment that we see the crisis really hit. We don't have this urgent crisis / severe crisis right now
It's not like we got into hyperinflation right now. There is of course some of the stocks like Facebook, Apple... they lost a lot of value.
Or they lost a lot of market cap. But generally there is no panic on the market, like Black Friday and stuff like that.
Not yet! But when this moment comes and there will be a moment like that, where you'll say "Ok. This was the day when the crisis hit, the crisis really started
Then it is important in what moment the crypto market is. Is it in a downward trend or is it in an upward trend?
Because depending on that there will be a mood or the impulse, the momentum for the movement of the money.
If crypto in that moment is in the upward trend, then we will see the money go into crypto.
When we see the crypto market inthe downward trend at that moment and that day, then we may not see money going into crypto
Because the perception at that moment will be that crypto is also in the crisis, is also affected by the crisis and this not safe asset
And there is no sense to go into crypto to sava your wealth.
And then the last aspect that we have to consider is that actially the later the crisis hits, the better it is for crypto. Why?
Because right now we have this consolidation phase. Right now, when it may go down a little bit more
But the closer it is to the halvening of Bitcoin, the more probable it is that the crypto market will take off.
So, this upward trend is more probable. So, if you are a crypto investor or crypto enthisiast.
In your place I would pray for the global financial crisis to come as late as possible. To come in November, December 2019
Maybe even not come at all in 2019. Maybe to come in 2020, maybe in the middle of 2020.
This would be the best for crypto, because then we would see, first of all, the run up to the halvening of Bitcoin, which would be a positive impulse.
The market will go up. So, we will have a positive trend and there will be expectation of more growth to come.
And of course, the inflation will be lower and lower in Bitcoin meaning that the later the crisis come,
the more probable it is that the assets will move into crypto from the other assets, from stock market, cash, from maybe even gold.
So, the later the global financial crisis, the better it is for crypto, the more it probable that it will positively impact the crypto price and crypto market
That's it for today from London. I invite you to comment. What do you think about the impact of global financial crisis?
What impact may it have? What are the indicators? What are the phenomenons we should look out? Maybe the signals we should look out?
Tha market events we should look out that may impact how the crypto market will behave in the case of the global financial crisis.
Leave a comment below, share this video with your friends, with your loved ones. One day they will thank you for that.

He will guide you - Duration: 8:52.
Life without Jesus is a nightmare and a disaster that leads to certain destruction. If you
follow Jesus, He will guide you in all things and give you eternal life. Sadly very few
people follow Jesus. Many don't know to follow Jesus and others choose not to follow Him,
but rather to follow other people and their own mind.
Jesus is alive and He speaks, He guides everyone who comes to Him, trusts Him and stays with
Him. Jesus gives His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, to be in and with every believer who obeys
His words and seeks Him with all their heart. The world, the unbelievers and those who do
not obey the gospel of Jesus Christ, cannot receive the Holy Spirit.
To follow Jesus is a practical walk, day by day. Many people claim to follow Jesus and
be led by the Holy Spirit, but it does not play out in their lives. They are no different
from other people who are not believers. Jesus Christ and His Spirit is not a reality in
their lives, it is only words and jargon, religious talk. Their spirituality is just
fuzzy vague ideas from their imagination. If you are serious about following Jesus,
He will guide you, give you direct instructions, warnings, revelations and understanding of
His will for you. You will have to trust Him enough to do what He tells you to do without
doubting. You might ask Him for confirmation and understanding but if you do not have faith
and courage to do what He tells you to do, then walking by faith and following Jesus
is not for you. "Faith comes comes from hearing, and
hearing by the word of Christ."Romans 8:17. Please pause to listen, understand what
is written here. " Faith comes from HEARING." Hearing WHAT? "Hearing by the word of Christ."
Let me put it in different words: You believe when you hear Jesus speaking to you. Then
you ACT on what He SAID TO YOU. So what are you believing? You believe what Jesus told
you. If Jesus did not say anything, then you have nothing to act upon.
Many believes act on ASSUMPTION. They read something in the Bible, or hear a preacher
say something, or even come up with their own idea and then they act of that assumption.
They say thy are "stepping out in faith." They assume that Jesus will follow them and
make their idea work out. That is not faith, it is rather presumption or just plain stupidity.
Then things do not work out as they expected and they blame God, but God was never in their
project. It was their own idea. They lose faith in God and many of them stop believing
in God and become agnostic. Even when you have heard from God and you
do what He tells you to do, things hardly ever work out the way you expected or thought,
because God's ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. God does not
give you a detail plan or a map, He gives you direction and when you follow His directions
you end up where you do not know further. Then you get further direction. You have to
stay with Jesus and follow Him in faith after hearing from Him. His timing is not our timing.
It is of no use to become frustrated or in a hurry. In His time, He will guide you further.
You have to stay with Jesus all the way, until the end.
It is of no use to ask the opinion of other people or followers of Jesus, if He gives
you guidance, or tells you to do something. You have to stay with Jesus, trusting, waiting,
doing what He tells you to do by FAITH, because you HEARD from Him. If you do not have the
courage to do what Jesus tells you to do, even if it sounds irrational by human opinion
and standards, then you cannot follow Jesus. It is written:"BUT MY RIGHTEOUS ONE SHALL
LIVE BY FAITH; AND IF HE SHRINKS BACK, MY SOUL HAS NO PLEASURE IN HIM."Hebrews 10:38.
Jesus will guide you all the way, in all things, work, relationships, marriage, finances, bringing
up your children, where to live, how to serve Him, but you have to trust and obey Him above
all, more than your spouse, your parents, your employer, your children, your family
and your friends, even the government. If you want to follow Jesus, you have to obey
Him in all things, obey His words as recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Start right,
repent, stop sinning, turn from your own desires and plans, turn to Jesus. Be baptized in water
for the forgiveness of your sins. Be holy. Seek Jesus, seek His will, ask Him to baptize
you in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will convict you of sin, if you do wrong, He will
guide you into all truth and righteousness. He will guide you in what you must do and
He will tell you things that will happen in future, He will warn you. He will be with
you until the end of your life but you have to seek His guidance, obey Him and stay with
Him. You have to work out your own relationship with Jesus. He will guide you all the way
but you have to stay with Him. Jesus will speak to you, in a dream or a vision,
or a voice, that only you can hear, not in your ear, but in your spirit. He will speak
to you through circumstances, through revelation, through sickness. He will put knowledge in
you, understanding. If you seek His will and guidance, trust Him and stay tuned in to Him
you will immediately recognize His hand and His intervention. "Those who are pure in
heart, will see God." Through your relationship with Jesus, you will grow in knowledge and
understanding of Him and His ways. Do not allow anything to distract you from
Jesus, not churches, other Christians, books or even your own interpretation of the Bible.
Many go astray because they run after people and various teachings. Jesus Christ alone
is the way, the truth and the life, follow Him relentlessly and He will guide you, He
will give you eternal life.
May Jesus bless you.
Jesus Christ is alive and hell is real. I am here to introduce you to Jesus Christ so
that you can know Him, follow Him and have eternal life. Subscribe to my channel to learn

Wrapping up Astroneer's 2 year Alpha - Everything you need to know! - Duration: 5:05.
Hey everyone, HedgeDog here!
I'm sorry about my voice, I've got a little bit of a cold but I wanted to get this video out on time
All right, here we go!
You've probably already heard about a little game called Astroneer by now.
It's a wonderful indie title, It's been in Early Access (officially referred to as Alpha) since December 2016 and a cool
2 year later it's finally leaving Early Access with its 1.0 release!
So what is Astroneer?
It's a cross between survival and sandbox.
You find yourself basically stranded on an unknown planet with nothing but a terrain
shaping tool and a pocket 3D printer at your disposal.
The terrain tool will allow you to extract resources from the ground by making large
holes (that you can later refill) and the 3D printer will craft modules to help you
survive and expand your arsenal of available materials.
The pocket 3D printer can craft a Medium Printer, which can craft a Large Printer.
Every step requires more advanced materials but with greater rewards as well.
New materials can be discovered by means of manufacturing and new modules are discovered
through research of special items found all over.
This is all pretty standard stuff, so what makes Astroneer special you ask?
First of all, the aesthetics are gorgeous.
The game is clean and colorful, with mostly round edges all over.
The game has almost no menus with the player's backpack acting as the main storage and it
is even clickable without zooming in on it.
Most item interactions are with just a click or long key press.
The menus mostly appear when selecting what certain modules do (like, what do you want
to print or research now) and will only appear when you're fairly close to the modules
you're interacting with, so they make sense.
At the same time, everything around is still moving and clickable, so you don't get completely
swallowed up in the menu like in many other games.
In terms of survival, it's pretty simple: stay tethered and stay away from the giant
mushrooms.
Seriously, don't get too close to those.
Also stay away from a few other things, but no spoilers!
Tethering will maintain a constant supply of oxygen—a great way to keep from suffocating—which
is probably the most common cause of death.
There's no need to worry about food or shelter, unless a windstorm picks up, in which case
you need to get underground or inside your base or risk getting pummeled to death with rocks.
Yeah, lots of big flying rocks that will definitely kill you.
The game is very laid back and the survival mechanics are very simple
and it's actually pretty easy to survive.
Take your time and slowly locate more resources further and further away from your home base,
dive deep into caves to locate research materials to unlock new technologies and further expand
your base.
One of the best parts is the rovers.
You can build rovers to quickly cover significant stretches and even link a few rovers together
to create a makeshift train to setup a new base wherever you want.
The rovers come in several sizes like you'd notice most things do in this game.
When you've unlocked pretty much everything, you can even craft a spaceship and start a
new base on a new, possibly more hostile planet.
There's a whole solar system to explore, and every planet is different!
On a final note, the game has been created from the ground up as a co-op experience with
up to 4 astroneers working together at the same time
so grab your friends along for the ride.
And that's pretty much all you need to know right now!
Astroneer will be leaving Early Access on February 6th which is exactly 1 week from
today!
As such, I won't have time for a proper 1.0 review until the week after, sorry about that!
I might be able to livestream around the time that I'm supposed to release a video
I'm not sure my schedule will permit this but I'll give it my best!
Anyway I'm super excited to finally see this game reach its full release
It's supposed to get significant updates with this full release
Bigger co-op more vehicles, maybe, more things to craft?
I don't know! I'm not sure exactly what's coming
I haven't read too much about this because I want to be surprised
I've been following this game for a long time and it has evolved significantly over this time
It's a truly wonderful game.
All right, that's it for this week, catch you in the next one!

How To Become a Morning Person! #kickstart2019 - Duration: 9:57.
- How to. - Not to.
- How to be. - How to not.
- How to not hate every morning.
- How to become a not anti morning person.
(upbeat joyful music)
- Hey, munchies.
Welcome if you're new.
I'm Alyssia.
A lot of people want to know
how to become a morning person.
It makes sense because if we're up early,
we have more time to be productive and to be leisurely,
and it also makes our day less stressful overall.
But of course it isn't always easy to stop hitting snooze,
so today I want to give you some tips
on how to become a morning person.
The problem, I am and always have been a morning person.
I love mornings.
What can I say?
I do like sleep too, don't get me wrong.
But it just felt wrong for me to sit here
and tell you, if you are a non-morning person,
how to become one when I haven't gone through that.
So that is why I wanted to bring in an expert
in not being a morning person,
my boyfriend and partner
who runs the channel with me, Christian.
Hey, Christian, how are you?
- How are you?
- Oh hi, how are you?
- How are you?
I'm good.
Hi, how are you?
- So, as mentioned, Christian runs Mind Over Munch with me.
He does a ton of behind the scenes stuff
and doesn't nearly get enough credit.
- Come on.
- And he also costars in one of my other channels,
Eat The Pizza.
- [Christian] Which you should go subscribe and check out
if you haven't already,
but you're not gonna find any healthy pizzas over there.
- [Alyssia] Much less health oriented but still super fun.
We actually did an Eat The Pizza on this channel
earlier this month.
- Oh, we did, I forgot.
- So, as mentioned,
Christian is not inherently a morning person,
but he has kind of made some lifestyle and routine changes
that have helped him embrace mornings a little bit more.
- Yeah, I mean I would consider myself a morning person
more than evening person,
but you know, you gotta get up in the morning,
you gotta go to work.
Even running our own business, you know.
The world runs one a--
- You got work in the mornings.
So today we're gonna give you a few functional tips
that you can use that Christian has definitely used
to help him become less of an anti-morning person.
- That's right.
- So really let's just call this video how to become.
How to. - Not to.
- How to be. - How to not.
- How to not hate every morning.
- How to become a not anti-morning person.
Alright, so what's the first tip?
- The first tip is pretty obvious.
Get more sleep.
- Get more sleep.
It does seem obvious.
Most of us need seven to nine hours.
It's hard to get up in the morning if you're tired,
so that obviously means
you have to go to bed a little bit earlier.
- Yeah, that's true.
I mean I used to go to bed 2:00 a.m. was like my.
Probably about then is when I go to sleep
and now I'm more like 10:00 p.m.,
but it's just like, you know, if you're not gonna be able
to go right from 2:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.,
try and like just 10 minutes, 15 minutes earlier each night.
Try it for a little while.
And it just helped me
because I was miserable in the mornings for so long,
just miserable.
And then just getting like little bit earlier
little bit earlier.
- It's not like you jump from 2:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
and for some of you that are like
all or nothing personalities like me, that might be good.
Just like gold turkey change bedtime.
But if you want a transition,
a little a bit at a time helps.
And going to bed earlier will help increase your memory,
increase your metabolism,
and heighten your mood and concentration.
I also have found that tracking my sleep helps.
It's just nice during the day
to kind of mentally know I got the sleep,
rather than just, like if I feel a little tired
and then really lean into that,
I can kind of remind myself, oh no.
- Ah ah ah.
- Look at the app, I got the sleep.
- Uh.
Tip number two.
No TV at night when you're trying to go to sleep.
- When we first met, you kept the TV on all night long.
- Yep. - And that didn't work for me,
because I like it pitch black,
and I like it completely silent,
and I don't want any disturbances.
- See, for me silence is a no.
Can't go with silence.
But, you know, having the TV off
one thing that happens is when you're gone
I will leave the TV on all night.
All night.
And I noticed my sleep is worse.
- Yeah. - I get a worse sleep.
- Because it's disturbed.
It's disturbed.
- That's right, it's disturbed.
- I mean, what about all the blue light?
And what about all the subliminal messages
that are happening in the TV in the middle of the night.
Let's be real that you do notice a difference
when you sleep without the TV
or when you do sleep with the TV when I'm not here
that your sleep is negatively affected.
- Yes.
Alright, tip number three is get on a schedule.
- Yeah, so you've actually been kind of schedule sleeper
in that you don't usually get up that much later on weekends
but I like to sleep on weekends
because even though I like to get up early,
I also really like to sleep,
but I notice that when I try to sleep
too late on the weekends then in the week,
I feel like I'm playing catch-up for my weekend
like I'm trying to, you know, reintegrate
and it takes me like a day or two,
but if I get up at the same time every single day
then I'm just kind of on a consistent schedule.
- Yep, keeping a schedule is the way to go.
- Number four is get used to getting up.
- Yep, that's true.
And I employ the five-second rule.
This is Mel Robbins, right?
- I love Mel Robbins.
- It's awesome because I hate getting up even to this day.
Getting up is the worst part of the day.
The first couple of hours of the day
are my least focused or productive.
But, when you do the five-second rule,
I don't want to get up.
- But what is the five-second rule?
Explain a little bit. - So you count to five.
You count to five.
It's five, four, three, two, one and I'm up.
It doesn't matter.
As soon as I start that countdown,
when it's over I gotta get up.
And I'm not gonna hit snooze,
I'm not gonna decide, oh I got to keep sleeping.
It's five, four, three, two, one.
- Do you count down or you count up?
- I count down.
- I count up.
I don't know why.
- No, you gotta count down.
'Cause it's like.
- The Mel Robbins concept, the book is great,
but the whole concept is you give yourself five seconds
to stop making excuses and just do whatever it is.
So you can use it for more than this,
but this is one of the first things
when I told you about the five-second rule
that you started to use it for
was getting up in the mornings.
And it really does help to just decided to do it
and then do it.
And another thing is to stop pressing snooze.
Because I was reading about how pressing snooze,
if it interrupts your sleep cycle,
which likely we're not just naturally,
you know, our alarms are not set to wake us up
for our sleep cycle,
they're just set to wake us up at a certain time,
so that's interrupted,
and then you hit snooze again and again and again
and you're just getting the most unsatisfying
and interrupted sleep.
It's not really even sleep that you're gonna benefit from.
So you might as well take advantage of the time
and just get up. Just get up. - Just get up.
- If you struggle with that, try moving your alarm.
So putting your phone of the opposite side of the room,
or have you seen those alarms where they roll off the desk?
They roll off the counter.
The ones with the wheels? And then you gotta go chase it?
I would never do that, but you might wanna do that.
But maybe more functionally, just move your move your phone,
you know, to your bathroom or something,
so that when you hear the alarm going off
you're forced to actually get out of bed to turn it off.
- Oh God, I gotta find my alarm.
Tip number five, exercise and do it earlier.
- Though most morning people hate this.
I know you used to hate working out in the mornings.
- Still not my number thing to do but I see the benefit.
- But you actually, organically decided,
once you started exercising more frequently,
you started doing it in the morning
because it kinda of made sense.
It feels good for a few reasons.
For me, one the accountability of just getting it done
and knowing it's done.
Two, it helps me sleep better,
just because exercise is good for sleep in general.
It helps you get rid of bad toxins earlier in the day,
sweat them out and energize you.
- Yep.
I used to be like at eight or nine at night
go to the gym workout,
but it doesn't help my productivity that much
to go at that time.
The earlier I go, the more productive
and sort of alert I maybe feel.
- I've always liked working out in the morning better,
but when I work out at night
I find that my brain just starts like riling.
I'm so activated and excited
and it's really hard for me to wind down
so doing it earlier, you expend the energy,
you use the energy you get from it throughout the day
and then you're ready to go to sleep.
There's also research that shows that starting your day off
with something productive can affect your mood positively
for the rest of the day.
- And that could be exercise.
- That could be exercise,
because you feel good that you did it,
and then the rest of the day you know that you did it,
and then that becomes a snowball
where you're make a good choice about what you eat.
And then.
- And it just becomes.
It just makes everything better.
And that leads to the final tip,
having something to look forward to.
- Yeah, every single day in every week,
it makes getting up more exciting and less daunting.
- Yep, for instance I always set the coffee the night before
so right when I get up I smell the fresh brewed coffee
and I just pour myself a cup
and you know, spend a few minutes together sitting down
and having coffee and that's like my excitement.
- And you look forward to that before,
the night before when you set up the coffee,
you actually have some intention there.
Like, I'm looking forward to having this coffee.
I do the same thing with my morning gratitude practice,
with like, if I'm picking up a podcast for the next day,
I'll kind of have some intention behind it where I'm like,
oh I'm really looking forward to listening to that.
So it seems small but it'll make a difference
with just dreading it less.
- Yeah, definitely.
- So those are the tips.
- Those are the tips.
And while I still don't consider myself a morning person
I definitely don't dread it as much,
it's a lot easier for me to get up
and I realize that my mental, emotional, physical health
all kind of benefit from not going to sleep at 2:00 a.m.
and sleeping really late.
- Yeah.
And the goal isn't to make you a morning person, right?
It's to help you learn how to dread the mornings less.
Because the fact is we, most of us,
live on a nine to five cycle,
so we've got to learn how to function in the mornings,
and there are some small things you can do,
and they're gonna take practice
and they're gonna take time
but if you can learn to implement those
into your routine and lifestyle,
it's gonna make the mornings
more exciting and less terrible.
- Yep.
- Thanks so much for being here. I will see you tomorrow
for the last episode of this kickstart series.
And remember.
- It's all a matter of mind over munch.
Wait, is that the wrong finger?
- You're on the outside, it's good.
- It doesn't matter, the other side. Oh, the other side.
Alright.

and it keeps growing.
You actually made a little, what,
a little over a hundred thousand in the past week?
- Right. - We're here in Rome, Italy.
But I wanted to talk to you just about what he's been doing
because, frankly, he's not just been making money,
he's also helping other students learn,
and he has made this great DVD called Trading Tickers.
Why did you make this guide?
- Because early in my career, I was pretty good about
blog posts and answering questions and stuff like that,
but it got overwhelming, because there's one of me
trying to answer the questions,
and I'm getting, like, hundreds,
and a lot of times they're repeat questions.
So I made it with the idea of, like,
I just wanna put everything in one place, first of all.
Answer, like, the most basic stuff.
But then also to really detail and show
the patterns that have worked for me,
where I had found my success, you know,
what was responsible for my account growth.
So I had like four chapters in this DVD
of all the basics, and then,
eight chapters, where each chapter was a unique strategy
that I used and included live trading examples of.
- How many live trading examples are there?
- It's in the 30s, I think like 35, maybe?
- I think it's 36. - 36, okay.
- Pretty freakin' awesome! - Selling myself short, but.
- No, that's good!
You know, I'll post a link to the DVD with a special
just below this video 'cause I want you guys watching it.
It is, I think, the best reviewed DVD on Investimonials
on, pretty much everyone tells me this,
like, Michael Huddy was here, he's my newest
six-figure student, he loves your DVD,
he loves your webinars.
What do you think that students can do
and learn from this to really get better?
How should they watch it?
- I mean, you don't wanna watch it with the idea
of, these are the patterns Tim Grittani uses,
I want to copy them to a T.
Really, take the approach of, like,
just seeing what works for other successful traders.
I did that, I've watched multiple DVDs
from different traders.
And it wasn't about trying to copy them,
it was about seeing what works for them.
Kind of trying to take the ideas that made sense to me
and make them my own.
And then, also, I guess, especially if you're a beginner,
take a lot of the beginner info to heart.
Like, chapter two was over an hour long,
and it was just full of stuff that I'd wish I had known
when I started trading.
So that's what I'd be looking for if I were, yeah.
- I will also say that, y'know,
a lot of the examples now are a few years old,
and some people are like, oh, that doesn't really matter.
But patterns repeat in the stock market,
and you must study your history.
So I look at it now as, like, this historical examples
of like, oh, wait a minute!
This stuff worked in the past, and it might come back,
it might not, but at least you see
what happens in the market.
Like you said, don't memorize the patterns,
but if you start to learn how the patterns are created,
the different indicators and the different catalysts,
then you can start to understand the market better.
'Cause there's different kinds of catalysts.
Whether it's a penny stock promoter or a chat room
that's all buying the same stock,
or if it's mentioned on CNBC,
they're all media-type catalysts.
It might have evolved a little bit.
- Right, and a lot of it, you know,
a lot of the strategies in there
are still strategies I use in the current market.
Like, I was just, like, y'know one chapter,
over extended gap downs, I was just playing
an over extended gap down this week.
Multiday breakouts, I mean, I play those all the time.
Both OTC and NASDAQ, I have a chapter on each.
- Why do you think the patterns still work so well?
- I mean, they repeat, I don't know what else to say
besides that, like,
the only one that really isn't super current
is the buying new promotions,
because there are no great promoters out there right now.
But if another amazing promoter ever comes around,
then that's great again, I'm ready, so.
- Alright, so check out Trading Tickers.
Click the link just below this video,
I'm gonna post a little special
'cause we wanna inspire you to study.
I want more top students like this guy.
Give them some words of advice, any final words?
- It's a marathon, not a sprint.
Take it slowly, for sure.
You don't wanna trade huge early.
- And this is part of your marathon, so use it!
Enjoy!

Why You Can't Get Motivated - Motivation, Pt. 1 (The Hero Within) - Duration: 14:37.
>> KEVIN: Every single day, millions of people say things, like,
"Oh, I'm just not inspired today."
"If only I could focus on this, maybe I could do it."
"I lack motivation."
Well, we have some good news for you.
We have answers that will make you GET OFF YOUR ASS.
Stay tuned.
>> SIMONE: Yes.
[intro music]
>> SIMONE: Hello, heroes!
I'm Simone.
>> KEVIN: And, I'm Kevin.
>> SIMONE: And, welcome to…
>> SIMONE & KEVIN: The Hero Within!
>> SIMONE: Where we unearth the secrets to success, and the power of human potential.
Welcome to the show, ladies and gentlemen.
>> KEVIN: LET'S GOOooOOooOO!
WHOO!
>> SIMONE: [laughter]
>> KEVIN: [laughter]
>> SIMONE: Hell yeah!
>> KEVIN: Ready to get motivated?
Let's fucking go.
Today, we're going to break down one of the key barriers to success: lack of motivation.
>> SIMONE: [whispering] Woah.
>> KEVIN: Yeah.
Profound stuff.
>> SIMONE: I can't wait.
>> KEVIN: I can't wait, either.
[whispering] Let's do this!
>> SIMONE: [whispering] Yes!
In a world filled with things to do, and places to be, we all wish we could use a little bit
more motivation to get things going.
Whether it's writing a novel, chasing your dreams, or, even, making a YouTube video…
>> KEVIN: [laughter]
>> SIMONE: …we all want the stars to align, to figure out how to get motivated for long-term
gain, and ultimate growth.
>> KEVIN: Now, the simple answer to motivation is holding yourself accountable, making a
firm decision, and how powerful your "why" is against oppositional forces (i.e. you,
and your parents, for instance.
But… the real answer is a bit more complicated than that.
>> SIMONE: Alright, heroes, now we're gonna get into why we can't get motivated.
>> KEVIN: Yeah, the juicy stuff!
>> SIMONE: Yes.
>> KEVIN: Let's do it.
>> SIMONE: So, the first reason is fear of failure.
Now, this is the most cited reason why people have a hard time getting motivated; they just
don't wanna fail.
I mean, I can definitely relate to that a lot.
I think everybody can.
However, this really depends on your past success, and failures.
So, with past success, and failures, the more time you succeed, the more confident you're
gonna be, and the more likely you're gonna do more things, or even the same thing that
you've been doing before.
>> KEVIN: Mm-hmm.
>> SIMONE: However, if you fail a lot of times at it, you're gonna, likely, shy away at
it.
And, this often permeates in other parts of your life.
>> KEVIN: Mm-hmm.
>> SIMONE: So, think about it this way: uh, a great example is Stephen King.
>> KEVIN: Right.
>> SIMONE: So, Stephen King is (one of the most) celebrated horror authors in the world
today.
>> KEVIN: Yeah.
>> SIMONE: However, Stephen King lacked confidence in the beginning.
>> KEVIN: Mm-hmm.
>> SIMONE: He kept sending his work to a bunch of publishers, and he kept getting rejection
notice, after rejection notice.
And, finally, at a certain point, Stephen King was like, "Forget it.
I'm just not a good writer.
I'm never gonna be an author.
I'm done."
And, he quit.
However, thanks to his wonderful wife, that still believed in his writing…
>> KEVIN: Aww.
>> SIMONE: …she kept submitting stuff behind his back.
And, finally, a publisher said, "Yes."
>> KEVIN: Yeah.
>> SIMONE: And, all you need is one "yes".
>> KEVIN: True shit!
>> SIMONE: One.
That's all you need to be successful.
Another reason for fear of failure is, simply, embarrassment.
It feels bad to be rejected.
It feels bad to fail.
>> KEVIN: Oh, yeah.
>> SIMONE: And, more often times, we internalize that, that we're not good enough.
We're embarrassed.
We feel that everybody's looking at us.
>> KEVIN: [laughter]
>> SIMONE: And, saying how much of a loser we are.
>> KEVIN: Mm-hmm.
>> SIMONE: That is more of your internal self talking.
And, you gotta ignore that.
>> KEVIN: Yep.
>> SIMONE: Because everybody fails at life.
There's nobody that escapes that.
>> KEVIN: True.
>> SIMONE: And, you know what?
You gotta just keep going until you succeed.
And, the very last thing we're gonna talk about is future anxiety.
>> KEVIN: Mm-hmm.
>> SIMONE: So, the great thing about us being human is the fact that we can anticipate the
future.
>> KEVIN: Yep.
>> SIMONE: We can anticipate how wonderful, and amazing, our future's gonna be.
>> KEVIN: [laughter]
>> SIMONE: And, we can also anticipate the terrible things that are going to happen.
>> KEVIN: Yeah.
>> SIMONE: Part of motivation is about keeping positive, and keeping yourself aware of these
thoughts that are happening.
And, acknowledging them, but not letting them get to you.
>> KEVIN: Yes.
>> SIMONE: Because, you don't know what's gonna happen in the future.
You may just accidentally succeed.
>> KEVIN: Yeah.
[laughter]
>> SIMONE: Holy moly!
>> KEVIN: True stuff.
Holy moly!
>> SIMONE: And, if you have a history of failure, why not try to succeed instead… by, at least,
trying in the first place?
>> KEVIN: Real shit.
Okay!
The 2nd reason of why you can't get motivated is the fear of success.
Now, I know what you're thinking: "Why would I fear success?
I wanna succeed!
Everybody wants to succeed, right?"
True, but there's still fears behind that, one of them being is that being successful
can result in a change in your lifestyle, and your comfort zone; you have to get out
of your comfort zone.
And, you know, as humans, we wanna be comfortable.
We don't wanna shake things up, usually.
So, you gotta get over that if you are faced with success.
The 2nd reason why you would fear success is that you are, all of a sudden, thrust into
a leadership position; you're responsible for something, or somebodies.
And, now your anonymity is gone.
And, that goes for whether you're an actor, you're a CEO, or, you know, you're the
leader of the PTA.
Or, in my case, when I was in the military, I made it to the rank of E-5, which is Staff
Sergeant.
In other words, I was a middle manager, for my first time ever.
Before then, I was never in charge of anybody.
So, I was scared I was gonna mess up the person underneath me, and my own career, you know,
by proxy.
>> SIMONE: Mmm.
>> KEVIN: Fortunately, I think I did a pretty good job, according to my subordinate, and
everyone else, so…
But, yeah, you just gotta get over that.
It's like, yeah, things are gonna change; you're no longer the person you used to
be, in a sense.
But, with that can come a whole wealth of rewards.
So, just accept it.
Go with it.
Be successful.
>> SIMONE: Alright, heroes, now we're gonna talk about number 3: internal doubt.
>> KEVIN: [silly noise]
>> SIMONE: So, this is all about your inner dialogue.
Your inner dialogue is so important to maintain, and keep, when you're trying to stay motivated,
especially the most cited reason for not doing things is: "I don't deserve it."
"I am just a cog in the wheel; a brick in the wall.
Why am I special?
Those people out there, they are faster, they are better, they're stronger, they are richer;
of course they're successful."
>> KEVIN: Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
[laughter]
>> SIMONE: And, that may be true!
However, normal, everyday-people that come from bad circumstances, good circumstances,
okay circumstances… succeed every day.
And, that's because they cracked the code.
>> KEVIN: Mm-hmm.
>> SIMONE: And, they believed that they deserve it.
They deserve everything that comes to them.
And, remember, like we said before, you only need one success.
>> KEVIN: Just one.
>> SIMONE: Out of the failure.
>> KEVIN: Yep.
>> SIMONE: To get somewhere in life.
>> KEVIN: Real shit.
>> SIMONE: So, the fact is that everybody deserves a chance.
Or, as they say, "Everybody deserves a chance to fly."
>> KEVIN: Oh, wow, that's so poetic.
>> SIMONE: I know!
>> KEVIN: Mmm.
>> SIMONE: I got that from Wicked.
>> KEVIN: [laughter]
>> SIMONE: It's my favorite song.
I'm sorry.
>> KEVIN: Never seen it, but, nice.
>> SIMONE: It's amazing.
You should, totally, go.
>> KEVIN: Maybe I will.
>> SIMONE: But, anyway…
>> KEVIN: [laughter]
>> SIMONE: So… [laughter]
So, everybody deserves a chance to fly.
Everybody deserves a chance to do something in life that they really enjoy.
So, another reason we're gonna talk about, with internal doubt, is, simply, self-sabotage.
>> KEVIN: Right, right.
>> SIMONE: So, with self-sabotage, everything has to do with internal dialogue.
"We don't deserve it."
We think it's really hard, and too challenging, for ourselves, because we failed so many times.
>> KEVIN: Mm-hmm.
>> SIMONE: So, now, we're going to sabotage ourselves.
And, if you're going to write in your novel, instead, you're going to clean out the garage.
>> KEVIN: Right.
>> SIMONE: What does that have to do with anything?
>> KEVIN [laughter]
>> SIMONE: You could clean out—you have to clean out the garage at some point, but
does it really have to be right now, when you're about to write?
>> KEVIN: Mm-hmm.
>> SIMONE: It doesn't.
>> KEVIN: No.
>> SIMONE: When you're about to start your business, you spend more time researching,
and never actually get to it.
>> KEVIN: Mm-hmm.
>> SIMONE: You sabotage yourself.
The important thing is to make sure that you get out of your own way.
>> KEVIN: For sure.
>> SIMONE: Once you get out of your own way, and you just go, and do it, and you believe
you deserve it, things will eventually happen.
It may not happen right away, but it will happen in time.
You just gotta believe in yourself.
>> KEVIN: Yes.
Trust us on this.
It's a process, but it's a proven one.
>> SIMONE: Exactly.
>> KEVIN: Yo!
Reason number 4 you're afraid of success: the fear of the opinion of others.
Now, as human beings, you know, when it comes to our friends, families, and significant
others, we want their opinions of us to be favorable.
For instance, my parents fully support me, you know, living out here in California, going
for my dreams, and stuff.
And, that means a lot to me.
It goes a long way to have that support from my family.
And, as human beings, we're social pack animals.
This goes all the way back to antiquity.
You know, back when we had to scrounge together resources, and defend our communities, we
needed to be liked, evolutionary-speaking.
Because, without that, you would get banished from the tribe.
And, what did banishment from the tribe mean?
Death!
>> SIMONE: [gasp]
>> KEVIN: And, that's, obviously, not a good thing!
So, you know, we have to stick together, and it's good for us to all have favorable opinions
each other.
And, when that doesn't happen, when that gets in the way of success, then, it's downhill
from there.
>> SIMONE: Alright, heroes, now, we're gonna give you a few examples, and, also, what people
LOVE to say to take you off your game.
>> KEVIN: Mm-hmm.
>> SIMONE: And, the eye off the ball.
>> KEVIN: Ah.
>> SIMONE: Ah.
>> KEVIN: Indeed!
>> SIMONE: Now, let's start with losing weight.
This is a great one that people are constantly doing.
What are some things that people say, Kevin?
>> KEVIN: Now, obviously, I mean…
I don't have to worry about losing weight.
I'm a slim dude, with fast metabolism, and I work out.
But, I digress.
The things people would say are things like, "Oh, you… you know, you gotta do dieting",
and, you know, "You gotta exercise a lot.
You, probably, won't be able to do that, 'cause you're lazy"; just all kinds
of negative shit, basically.
>> SIMONE: Or, "Aww, you can't have the cake we're gonna have next Saturday?"
>> KEVIN: Yeah.
Try to guilt trip you, and shit.
>> SIMONE: "That really sucks."
>> KEVIN: Yeah.
>> SIMONE: Or, "Why don't you just have a little bit?
It's not gonna do any damage."
>> KEVIN: "Just one slice."
>> SIMONE: "One slice, you know?
And, you can go back on your diet."
>> KEVIN: [laughter]
>> SIMONE: And, they do that every day.
>> KEVIN: Yes.
>> SIMONE: "Just one!"
Just one little thing each time, right?
>> KEVIN: Mm-hmm.
>> SIMONE: It's crazy how people love to, basically, almost sabotage you, instead of
support you, and say, "That's okay.
Here.
We'll try—we'll do it with you one day a week", or something like that.
>> KEVIN: Right.
>> SIMONE: Or, "We'll make sure you get the proper nutrition that you need.
>> KEVIN: Mm-hmm.
>> SIMONE: Or, "Let's go to the gym together."
Or, "Let's go bike riding together."
>> KEVIN: Right.
>> SIMONE: There's so many positive things that you could do besides, just sabotage each
other, but we love to do it.
>> KEVIN: It's almost, like, we get high off of it, you know?
>> SIMONE: Yeah.
And, I just--- I just think it's terrible.
>> KEVIN: It is.
>> SIMONE: You should, always, support people that wanna do something different in life.
>> KEVIN: Yes.
>> SIMONE: So, let's talk about number 2: starting a business.
>> KEVIN: [laughter]
>> SIMONE: Oh, man.
This is a great one.
Let's see… what… what things that we can talk about…
"Oh, it's really hard!
It costs a lot a money!"
It actually doesn't.
>> KEVIN: Mmm.
>> SIMONE: It depends on the business that you're starting.
>> KEVIN: Right.
>> SIMONE: Or, "It's gonna take a long time to build the business, and what if it
fails, and you owe all of this money?"
>> KEVIN: Yeah, it's, basically, just a bunch of what-ifs, you know, being tossed
around, and this is very applicable to us, obviously, because we started this YouTube
channel.
>> SIMONE: Mm-hmm.
>> KEVIN: And, you know, it's a risk we're willing to take.
>> SIMONE: Exactly.
>> KEVIN: You know?
>> SIMONE: And, my favorite number 1 is, like, "You're not good enough; smart enough,
whatever enough to do this."
>> KEVIN: Right.
>> SIMONE: And, you know what?
>> KEVIN: Mmm?
>> SIMONE: That may be true, slightly, in the beginning, but, that's what learning
is for.
>> KEVIN: Yeah, exactly.
>> SIMONE: Exactly.
>> KEVIN: Just like I said in, uh, the New Year's video, you can't win if you don't
play.
So, start playing.
>> SIMONE: And, let's talk about the last one…
>> KEVIN: [laughter]
>> SIMONE: Going for a creative career.
Oh, man.
>> KEVIN: Oh, man!
>> SIMONE: We… we are, definitely, in the know for this one.
>> KEVIN: Yes!
>> SIMONE: What's some good ones?
>> KEVIN: So, the whole voice acting thing, I mean, I've been told all the time, it's
like, "Eh, if you wanna do that, you know, you gotta have connections in the industry
to make it", and…
"You know, there's a lot of competition."
It's like, yeah, no shit!
I'm aware of that.
>> SIMONE: [laughter]
>> KEVIN: But, as I said before, it's something I'm passionate about, and I'm gonna keep
doing it, regardless.
And, also, it's good, too, to surround yourself with people who are doing the same thing you're
doing; who have the same mindset.
>> SIMONE: Mm-hmm.
>> KEVIN: You know, my friend here, Simone, she's a writer.
You know, producer.
All that kind of stuff.
I have a music producer friend.
I have a voice actress friend.
So, yeah, it's good to surround yourself with people who are like-minded so that you
can all those doubts; all those uncertainties.
And, just… go for it.
>> SIMONE: Exactly.
>> KEVIN: Yeah.
>> SIMONE: Another great, uh, couple things is, um… you know, "Oh, do you know what
you're doing?"
Like, I don't… or…
Another good one is, "Why don't you have a safer career?"
>> KEVIN: Heh!
>> SIMONE: "A good, safe, government career?"
Huh?
HUH?
>> KEVIN: She can relate!
>> SIMONE: Yeah, exactly!
So…
>> KEVIN: [laughter]
>> SIMONE: You know, "Have a safer career", "Have a plan B".
Well, the thing here is that, with plan Bs, is sometimes, they get in the way of your
plan A.
>> KEVIN: Yeah.
>> SIMONE: So much to the point that you never get to plan A.
>> KEVIN: Yes.
>> SIMONE: So, you gotta be careful with plan Bs.
It's… it's definitely important to have some kind of backup, but it shouldn't take
away from your complete focus.
>> KEVIN: Cool.
So, now that we know how motivation DIES, it's your job, heroes, to outvote your mind
through an unshakable purpose.
You know what that means?
That means telling those voices in your head to shut the hell up.
That means evaluating whatever excuses you may have for not doing it, and just, simply,
going for it.
That's it.
>> SIMONE: Just do it.
>> KEVIN: Just do it!
>> SIMONE: Exactly.
>> KEVIN: You already know.
>> SIMONE: And, remember this, if you remember nothing else from this video:
>> KEVIN: Yeah.
>> SIMONE: Growth starts at the edge of your comfort zone.
>> KEVIN: There you go.
>> SIMONE: So, start growing, and get uncomfortable.
Well, heroes, that's all we have for today.
Thank you for watching part 1 of our mini-series on motivation.
>> KEVIN: And, be sure to stay tuned for part 2, where we tackle the issues we talked about
head-on, with a toolbox of hero-worthy solutions.
>> SIMONE: [whispering] Yes.
>> KEVIN: YES!
>> SIMONE: And, if you enjoy our content…
>> KEVIN: Be sure to like, comment, and you already KNOW, SMASH that subscribe button,
you nah mean?!
>> SIMONE: And, don't forget to hit the notification bell so you know when the next
video's coming up.
>> KEVIN: Yessur!
>> SIMONE: And, until next time…
Continue to gain knowledge…
>> KEVIN: Take action…
>> SIMONE & KEVIN: And, be unstoppable!
>> SIMONE: [whispering] Yeah.

Open Angle Glaucoma Treatment : Eye Drops for Glaucoma and Glaucoma Surgery - Duration: 14:43.
So open-angle glaucoma
Treatment well in this video I get to review the different eye drops for glaucoma and glaucoma surgery. So let's take a look
Hey guys welcome this is dr
Joe Allen here from doctor eye health bringing the best in education about the eyes vision and vision product
So if you new here consider subscribing
Also at any point throughout the video check out the show notes and links below for further information about everything that we go over
Also, keep in mind this video is part of a complete video series about glaucoma
So if you're new here, that's great
But don't miss out on all the other good videos about glaucoma and I'll hook you up with a link to that in the description
Below as well as in the YouTube card up above otherwise, let's go over open-angle glaucoma
Treatments now when it comes to glaucoma treatment, there are many different treatments out there
however
the same
concept across the board for all those treatments is the same we treat glaucoma by lowering the pressure of the eye and
We can do that with Medicated eyedrops. We can do that with laser surgeries
we can even do that with more intense surgeries in the operating room where we physically make an
Increased drainage canal or we can do implants to again increase the drainage of the eye or we can use a combination
of all those different strategies
So overall the treatment outlook for glaucoma is usually very good
now if you are diagnosed with open-angle glaucoma here in the United States and you're gonna be started on treatment you usually
Started on a medication called a prostaglandin
Analog these eyedrops come with a little kind of Bluegreen almost a teal colored cap
Now I don't have any affiliation with brands or anything. One of the more common ones is called Xalatan
The generic form is called latanoprost now. These drops are excellent
The reason they're prescribed usually first-line is because one they're pretty cheap
the generic form has been out since I think like the mid 90s and
Over all that are pretty cheap for people to take also they're incredibly effective
So just using this drop one time at night every day in both eyes will lower the pressure of the eyes
Anywhere from 25 to 33 percent
That's an excellent decrease in eye pressure. And so for again that the kind of the cost benefit of taking this medication and
a
Significant drop in eye pressure it makes this really the first line for first line treatment for glaucoma now
because this glaucoma medication is
Used so commonly there are some side-effects. I wanted to kind of mention
So if you're taking this medication already, you could notice that these drops make the eyes a little bit red or a hyperemic
That's what we call it in the in the clinic. But usually you're using this drop right before bedtime
So you're going to bed anyway, so it's not really that huge of a deal
Some people will notice their eyelashes grow a lot longer thicker and fuller
Actually a lot of our lady patients who are put on this medication
they don't really mind too much because it's basically like getting a prescription for Latisse the
Medication that can actually grow your eyelashes longer. In fact, they're the same classification of medication. They're both prostaglandin analogues
now
Beyond just that this medication is known for helping change the eye color
Now no one really prescribes this for this reason, but as a side effect people with lighter colored eyes
Like myself I have blue eyes
if I was to start taking this medication and I took it for a long time a couple eight years then the pigment of my
eye you could actually maybe notice it start to get darker and
Eventually, some people even can do that kind of light brown eyes from taking this medication
One of the more lesser common known side effects of a prostaglandin analog is it changes the fat deposition.
around the eyes
So usually we don't prescribe a prostaglandin analog in just one eye by themselves
but
Occasionally if somebody is using it in just one eye and not the other that one I could start to look like it's sunken back
Deeper inside the skull and that's this because the fat around the eye is just not kind of depositing
Normally as it would be in the eye that's not taking that medication
Now beyond just using a prostaglandin analog if your doctor feels that that medication either isn't right for you
Or maybe it's not being effective enough
Maybe you need your eye pressure lowered even more they'll consider adding another medication now
It's always up to your doctor which medication they choose for you
next and which one's the best for you based on your health and make a shion's you're taking but
Often times here in the United States probably the second most commonly prescribed
I drop for glaucoma. It fits into a classification called beta blockers
One of the most famous names is called timolol. There's a couple of different concentrations of timolol. There's either timolol eyedrops
There's tomorrow gel drops. They're a little bit thicker
Usually these drops come in a cat come in the bottle with a yellow cap
And these drops are usually prescribed at least once a day
I've seen a prescribed twice a day, but usually at least once a day and in the mornings
These medications do lower the eye pressure by about
25% and they do that by decreasing the formation of the fluid inside the eye
Prostaglandins actually help decrease the fluid by help actually getting the fluid to drain out of the eye better
So again prostoglandins help drain the fluid out of the eye and then Tim will or beta-blockers will help
Decrease the formation of fluid inside the eye and so if you actually push the doctor was to prescribe these both together
It's a very powerful effect. Now, of course with latanoprost, you know, we have to watch about some of those
Complications those contraindications or side effects with timolol the few side effects that can occur
Usually your doctor has to kind of screen to make sure you're not known of a history of asthma
Or a breathing issues like with COPD and there's other type of medications that could interact
So again, those are things your doctor will consider now beyond using either latanoprost again the teal green cap
Or you got timolol the beta blocker that comes with a yellow cap.
Then there's other medications one that comes in an orange cap is called a carbonic anhydrase
inhibitor or CA is and that's either gonna be called a brinzolamide or dorzolamide now these medications
They actually do lower the eye pressure by decreasing the formation of the fluid just like timolol
But on their own they only decrease the eye pressure just a little bit. So usually these ones are used in
combination with something like timolol
And that actually helps amplify the amount of decreased eye pressure by up to about 15 percent
Now again these medications if they're prescribed alone usually are three times a day
But oftentimes they prescribe just twice a day because using it in combination with the other eyedrops
beyond the carbonic anhydrase inhibitors
Then there's a medication that comes in a purple cap, and that one's called an alpha
Agonist and that one is called brimonidine
now bromonidine this alpha agonist not only decreases the formation of fluid inside the eye but it also increases the
Outflow of the fluid inside the eye. So this medication again works pretty well
Oftentimes it is used as an adjunct to either Latanoprost or perhaps timolol
But again, these are all actually the major
Classifications of the different medications the different eye drops for glaucoma now beyond just these drops that we've mentioned again
There are combo drops out there. These are medications that are kind of like having the shampoo and conditioner
Combos that you have in the shower, these medications are basically the mix of the other ones we mentioned
They work fantastic
but they're basically
just put together like that to make it more convenient rather than having like five or six bottles that you got a dump in your
Eye throughout the day. It just makes it more convenient
increases the adherence to the medication
Things like that. There is another medication that just came out maybe about a year ago. I think it finally got FDA approved in
2017 and that one's called Ropressa. That's the brand name
I have no association with that brand but that medication actually helps again drain the fluid out of the eye through the
Trabecular meshwork, that's one and again that ways that the fluid actually drains out of the eye
Being that this medication is newer. It is a bit more expensive
however
It is kind of making its run for its money because it actually has such a good effect at lowering the eye pressure
I think it's also pretty close to that of a prostaglandin analogue
Now again, it's just a newer medication. We want to kind of throw it out there
I don't think too many people are using it yet
But it could be on the rise as a future big name for glaucoma treatment now
I also want to mention that if you are taking any of these eye drops
it is very likely that a lot of people will start off taking these medications and it
because glaucoma has no symptoms people will start taking it and then they'll just stop taking their eye drops or it's easy for them to
Forget but it's really important that if you're taking these drops for any reason for glaucoma
You try not to forget don't stop doing it. Unless your doctor told you to stop taking them
Really, you know damage from glaucoma is permanent
There's no way for us to back the train up and get vision back from this damage
so really taking these eye drops is the only way for your eye doctor to control the pressure and
prevent or delay for their vision loss and if you're somebody who's taking any of these eye drops and you're having
Difficulty getting the drops in I did make another video on how to put eye drops in on your own and I'll hook that up
Here in the YouTube card up above as well as in the description below now beyond taking those medications
There are a couple other treatments and that involves different types of glaucoma
Surgery, the two major forms a surgery that we're gonna cover today is laser trabeculoplasty
And then we're gonna roughly review some of the different
Implants and the different kind of more invasive procedures that can be used for glaucoma now
The first one is laser trabeculoplasty
This actually it I actually really like laser trabeculoplasty
Because this is a way for us to pay much get rid of some of the eye drops if somebody doesn't want to take them
now laser trabeculoplasty
involves putting a special type of
Mirror contact lens on the eye while the patient sits behind a small
Laser device we have in the clinic and then the doctor will activate this laser and they'll actually burn in burn little drainage canals
Into the already existing drainage canal of the eye
So they basically widen the drainage canal to increase the outflow
Now this procedure isn't ideal for everybody with open-angle glaucoma
You basically do need
Some type of pigment in the drainage canal of your eye for this to work if you don't have any pigment
Then you are not an ideal candidate for this procedure
However, by having this done again
We can lower the eye pressure and some people can lower the pressure so much
That they maybe can stop taking all their other eye drops
They don't have to pay for those drops. They don't have to take them throughout the day
however, saying however
Then now that I said that there are sometimes people will get that procedure and then they still have to be on eyedrops
So it's not a panacea. It's not a cure-all
This method this sort of treatment. However is not always first-line
it can actually be done just about at any point throughout the treatment period
The only real big downsides again is that it's not available for everybody and it actually tends to wear off. So after about five years
Of having the benefits of having this procedure it can wear off and has to be repeated again
So this isn't a fantastic option and I do think it's great for some people
But you have to also there's a few other things you have to weigh out with your eye doctor
With the patient to make sure that hey they're a good candidate. Also. This procedure isn't always covered by insurance
And so sometimes this can cost quite a bit of money to have done
I've actually seen it anywhere from four to up to like seven thousand dollars to have this procedure completed here in the United States
so again
If it's something you're interested in if maybe you're having trouble taking medications talk to your doctors about this option of having a laser trabeculoplasty
now beyond just taking
Medications to lower the eye pressure or having the laser procedure to lower the pressure
If for some reason the pressure isn't low enough or the advanced or glaucoma continues to advance then your doctor will recommend more
intensive
More invasive surgeries. Now. These surgeries are always our last line of defense
They're not recommended right away because they are associated with more
complications
Classically we have the trabeculectomy or maybe an external tube shunt such as the ahmed valve these do lower the eye pressure
Considerably. However, they are associated with more complications
So now we're recommending what are called MiG's these are minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries
And these usually involve really tiny implants inside of the eye again to decrease that eye pressure
And what's great is that these can oftentimes be is so be combined with other surgeries such as cataract surgery
So it's kind of like getting a two-for-one. So these are excellent
They're less complication rates and they usually lower the considerable amounts. No if you're gonna have any of these surgeries
Do keep in mind that you are gonna be on several eye drops before the surgery. Probably even more eye drops after the surgery
And sometimes even after surgeries
People are still on I pressure lowering medications
You have to see your doctor several times a year just to keep that pressure low and verify that it's in a safe
Level and if for some reason these surgeries really just don't take well, it doesn't it doesn't go well for you
Sometimes they have to be repeated again
And yeah, that kind of stinks but we have to do whatever we can to preserve vision
All right

#FiveThings About JavaScript in DevOps - Duration: 7:03.
>> Synchronizations, go. Here we go.
[MUSIC]
>> Welcome back to Five Things.
This is Five Things about JavaScript and DevOps.
Today, I've got the amazing, the amazing,
the amazing Donovan Brown. How are you doing, man?
>> I'm very good. Thank you for having me.
>> Nice to meet you.
>> Yeah. First time on the show, so I'm excited.
>> I know. How can we have not had you on until season two?
>> Because you had Damian Brady instead,
which I probably would've chosen myself instead of me to Damian.
>> Damian had ponies.
>> Yes, exactly.
>> Did you bring a pony?
>> I did not.
But I left my horse, I did a Keynote last night,
I rode it in on a horse, but I told
them to send them back after I was done.
>> All right. So, Donovan is a really great at DevOps.
He is Mr. DevOps.
>> It is. Yeah. Pretty much at Microsoft.
>> Doing JavaScripts, you still do DevOps, don't you?
>> Absolutely. Any language,
any platform, and I've been doing a lot of node lately.
It's like a Yeoman Generator.
So, I've been having to apply
the same DevOps best practices I use for
every other language to all my node projects as well.
>> Great. Captain Kirk, thing one.
>> Azure DevOps.
>> Right.
>> It's a new name for a product that's been around,
but there's also been some new things.
>> It is.
>> What is it?
>> So, Azure DevOps is
the rebranding of Visual Studio Team Services,
which we used to call VSTS.
But it's more than just a rebranding
because what we did is we teased
apart all the different services so
that you can now acquire them individually.
So if you already have your code sitting in GitHub,
you don't have to use our repositories.
You can actually use our work item tracking,
you can use our CICD system, which is fantastic.
You can use artifacts, storage,
and test plans, but you already had your code sitting in GitHub.
Or you might already be using
Jenkins for your CI but you don't have CD.
So, what we've done is allowed you to
acquire them anyway that you want to.
I like to describe it as,
everything that you need to turn an idea into
a working piece of software: work item tracking,
source control, build, and release,
artifact management, the whole nine yards.
>> Great. Thing number two.
>> There you go.
>> Mix and match. You mentioned you could do Jenkins.
>> Uh-huh.
>> So, somebody comes in they don't have to
use the entire Azure Pipeline then?
>> Exactly. So one of the important things is
that it's a very scary endeavor.
I think they just have to rip and replace
everything that I have to go
use the value that we offer in Azure DevOps,
and which is another reason that we cut it up into sections.
A lot of our customers have already made an investment in
CircleCI or made an investment in Jenkins,
and they have a really good CI system going
but they don't have deployment yet. We're like, "Cool.
You don't have to switch to our build to get to our deployment.
You can actually just use Release Management
and augment what your toolset is today."
I tell everybody fix what hurts most first.
So find what service of Azure DevOps
fits that particular one and just fix that one thing,
and then use everything else that you already haven't fixed.
>> Just like a buffet.
>> It is, it is. What I'm hoping will
happen is you'll see how cool we fix that one problem,
and then we'll just spread throughout your pipeline.
>> Sweet. Thing number three. I'll do weird for you.
>> All right. There you go.
>> View, Angular, React,
whatever the next JavaScript framework might be out there.
>> So, that's every five minutes.
>> What is interesting about the Azure DevOps for those people?
>> The thing about I think is interesting is
anything that you can do from a command line,
you can do from our build and our release, anything.
Because all of those tools that you just described,
most of them come with a command-line interface
that allow you to create new projects,
compile projects, per package them correctly for deployment.
What you can do using Azure Pipelines is say,
"This is the command I need you to run at this particular point,
now that you have my source control,
to package it correctly,
to hydrate the files that I need correctly."
So, whatever you're currently doing today,
we're just going to automate that process for you going forward.
So, I don't care what the next platform is,
we're already ready to help you with it.
>> NPM scripts all good to go.
>> Ready to rock and roll.
>> All right. Thing number four.
>> Docker.
>> Yes.
>> Everybody loves Docker.
>> It's hot.
>> Lot of people love Docker.
>> Yes.
>> So, doing JavaScript Docker
inside of Azure DevOps, what's that look like?
>> It looks really, really good actually
because we actually have hosted build machines.
These are build machines that run Mac OS, Linux,
and Windows, and several of
them already have the Docker tools installed.
So, for you to start building Docker containers,
all we need is a Docker file.
We don't need you to figure out anything about Docker,
we don't need you to stand up the infrastructure,
we'll host it for you.
You basically can say, "Here's my project,
there's my Docker file,
please go build me an image."
We can store it in inside Docker Hub,
we can store it inside of ACR,
inside of Azure if you want to do the that.
>> Azure Container Registry.
>> Yeah. Azure Container Registry is really good because it puts
your registry right next to
the infrastructure so that it's really network close.
You're going to have really fast deployments of
your images into containers on your infrastructure.
Doing Docker deployments, we can
deploy it to Kubernetes, we can use Helm,
we can deploy to a standalone
Docker image that you might be running,
I'm sorry, Docker host you might be
running in a Linux machine in Azure.
There is no limit.
If you can do it with Docker,
you can actually orchestrate that using Azure DevOps.
>> Azure DevOps can do it all.
>> All of it.
>> All right.
>> Anything. All I can say is that we can help you
with any language in any platform,
and I've had to actually prove that a couple times.
Once I have to prove. So I had to prove it for VB6.
>> Yeah?
>> Right. So a person came up to me and said,
"You said you could do any language any platform."
I was like, "Yeah. I can." He's like, "Really?
Can you do VB6?" Like, "You still do VB6?"
Yeah. I'm like, "I'm sorry for you,
but I can help, right?"
So what I did is I actually help the guy figure out how you can
actually do all the DevOps best practices with VB6.
>> So they come with therapy afterwards for this?
>> It was saying is that it's installing is the hardest part.
Like, getting VB6 to install on
a modern OS is almost impossible, exactly.
>> [inaudible].
>> I did have it fail first,
and then I went back and put it on a Service Pack,
and then I went installed it again and it finally worked.
>> Nice.
>> So, I have a blog post where half of it is
how to install VB6 on a modern OS,
and then the DevOps part was easy.
>> So, what I'm hearing is if somebody wants
a VB6, you're the man?
>> No. I have a blog post, I'm not the man. You can go read that.
>> Thing number five.
We do know you do JavaScript,
and in a lot of these larger applications I've written,
we've got unit tests, we have
end-to-end tests or one of the other.
>> Sure.
>> How does that work through DevOps?
>> Perfect. So, I happen to do some node development as well,
and I use Mocha for my unit testing.
>> Okay.
>> You sign on for my faking,
and then I use Istambul for code coverage.
What was really nice is the same way
I run those commands at the command line,
the same way I run them inside of Azure Pipelines.
But what's even cooler than that is we're able to publish
the test results as a first-class citizens
right there in my build summary.
So, it didn't matter if it wasn't.NET on Windows,
which was I think we can only help them with Microsoft.
>> Correct.
>> But here I am doing node with Mocha,
and I was able to show you the test results,
able to show you the line numbers if there was a failure,
and even show you the code coverage.
Now, if you're doing something like Selenium or some type of
end-to-end testing of your application,
whatever the case might be.
Right. Again, many of
those test tools can be run from the command line.
So, all you have to do is go over into Azure Release Management or
the Release Management is where we
actually deployed your app because you
want to run integration after you successfully deployed the app.
>> Right.
>> So, what we would do is allow you to
deploy the app and then have a task that says,
"Now that I know the app is deployed,
go run this command."
That's going to go fire up Selenium or Protractor,
whatever the case might be, exercise my test,
and then publish my test results.
So, it doesn't matter if it's load,
performance, spool in the end,
unit testing, if you can run it from a command line,
we can run it in our product.
>> That's great to know. Donovan, thanks for coming on.
>> My pleasure.
>> Really nice to see you. Thank you
for coming on and seeing us on Five Things.
