Waching daily Sep 4 2017

Hey everybody! Karin Carr here, owner of GeorgiaCoastHomes.com. I'm a realtor in Savannah, Georgia and today

We are going to talk about how to prepare for a hurricane

So let's get started. Tip number one - if they tell you to evacuate

Please do it. I can't tell you how many times we see on the news

Somebody that had three days worth of warning

And yet they had to be rescued by boat from the top story of their house because they refused to leave.

Wouldn't you rather get in your car and drive four hours away and spend the night in your car and drive home and find out

That nothing happened to your house

Than have to be airlifted from your roof because the water was 20 feet high?

So if they tell you to evacuate it's with darn good reason - take it seriously.

Tip number two - get a generator. My husband wants to buy a generator really really bad

And we haven't done it yet because we are still looking for the right one that doesn't cost thousands of dollars.

But to have generator plugged in so that if you had to evacuate for two or three days

You don't come home and all of the food in your fridge and freezer have gone bad

You've got to throw it all away. For no other reason

I just want to be able to keep the food cold so that when we get back to our house if we had to evacuate

We wouldn't lose all that stuff.

Tip number three - have a go-bag. So FEMA says that you need to have a gallon of water per person

In your family to last you for three days.

So if you've got a family of four you need to have at least four gallons of water.

You need to have food that can be just eaten out of a box that doesn't necessarily need to be heated.

If you're military go load up on MREs.

You know cans that can be easily opened.

Boxes, stuff like that so have all of that stuff packed in a suitcase or a big cardboard box ready to go so that if

You are told to evacuate you just have to grab that box and go.

Also in that go bag have flashlights, batteries,

formula, diapers, if your child has a favorite toy that they can't sleep without,

the bare necessities, perhaps a battery-operated radio

Or have you ever seen those radios that has like a little crank so that it doesn't use any electricity?

Just so that you can monitor the situation back home and see what's going on. So you know when it's time to return.

Tip number four is to bring in anything outside

that would be considered a projectile. Even your garbage cans... if there are strong winds those garbage cans are gonna

Go flying and the last thing you want is for that to go soaring right through your living room window, so bring in toys, lawn chairs,

The garbage cans anything that normally sits outside your house. Just bring them in stick them in the garage before you head out.

Tip number five is to go get one of those

Plastic containers with an airtight lid and put all of your personal documents in it - so your birth

certificates, your passports,

Insurance policies would be good too because if heaven forbid your house is

damaged and that stuff gets lost

You know this way you've got a hard copy and it's with you. It's in on your person

you could put that tub up in the attic but you know you just never know what if a tree falls on the house and

Then there's a hole and the attic fills with water, so let's just take that tub with you when you evacuate.

Tip number six - if you have enough advance warning and you can cover your windows before you take off be sure to use plywood,

Not OSB, to cover your windows.

I'm gonna include a link right down below to the FEMA website where they tell you exactly how to go about

covering your windows and doors if you need to evacuate.

And last but not least - have a plan. If you live in an area that is prone to

Hurricanes or torrential downpours, and this is something that on an annual basis. You know you may be forced to deal with

Have a plan in advance. If there is this huge storm next weekend. Where are you gonna? Go? Do you have friends that live in

Atlanta that you could go visit? Do you have friends that live in... I don't know,

Birmingham ,Alabama that are a couple of hours away, but that are not going to be in the path of the hurricane perhaps.

Can you talk to them and find out - hey, if we had to evacuate could we come to your house?

Nobody wants to go to a hotel and spend

$100 a night for four nights if they don't have to. If you've got a friend

That's got a guest room, and they will gladly take you in... all you've got to do is ask.

Worst case scenario you need to find a shelter. FEMA has a mobile app that you can download to your phone.

So go download it now. I'm gonna include the link right down below.

Download that app and it allows you to find the nearest shelter to where you are . So

Now you know how to prepare for a hurricane. But will you do it?

Yes! Start doing it. On the way home from work today

Stop at the grocery store and buy a couple jugs of water. Buy a few boxes of dry cereal.

Buy a package of batteries for your flashlights.

Over the weekend start putting together your go-bag. Just have this stuff as a work in progress so that if by chance...

Hurricane Irma is now being forecasted. We don't know where exactly it's gonna hit

It's still way out at sea, but what if it's coming our way?

At least this way you'll start having your stuff together

And you don't have to wait until the very last minute and then head to the supermarket

And there's a complete frenzy, and there is no more bottled water because everybody's bought it all.

The whole key to hurricane preparedness is

preparedness.

How To Get Fel Spotted Eggs In Patch 7.3 - 5 Mana Ray Mounts - Duration: 3:24.

hello and welcome in today's video we are talking about how you can obtain one

of the five mana array mounts that was implemented in patch 7.3 so if you want

to know how you can obtain them then you have definitely come to the right place

so without further ado let's jump into the guide

the way you obtain these mounts are through fel spotted eggs which has a chance to drop the mounts

but before we get into where you can obtain them it's important to mention

that the eggs are not unique which means that you can actually carry more than

one at a time when you get one egg it will take five days for it to hatch and

when it does hatch it has a chance to contain one of the four mounds but hey

Leyst didn't you mention that there were five mana array mounds and now you're

only mentioning four did you forget one and you are completely correct and the

reason being is that the fifth one doesn't come from the eggs which we will

be talking about in this video the first mount on our list that has a chance of

dropping the fel spotted egg is Varga who is located in in Antoran Wastes on

Argus the exact location is highlighted on the map and when you reach the

location you will see a cave that you have to enter to kill the rare

just remember that you might not get the egg since it's not a guaranteed drop so you

could end up killing it a few times before getting the fel spotted egg now

let's head over to the next area Naroua is the second rare that has a chance

of dropping the egg and is located in Krokuun

need the world ques to be active to get it so you can still kill it and have a

chance of getting the fell spotted egg As you can see it wasen't up when I tried

to kill it damn it the last two rare elites that drop the

egg is located on Mac'Aree and the first one of the two is called Kaara the

pale who is located in a cave as shown on the map unfortunately it's not up right

but this is the place I promise you the last elite mob that can drop the fel

spotted egg is also located on McCree as shown on the map and guess what guys this

one was not either I guess that's just my luck and I hope you guys will have

better luck than me I mean come on how unlucky can you be now let's take a

look at the fifth and final mana ray mount The last mana ray mount called

Lambent mana ray can drop of Venomtail SKyfin in Mac'ree the exact location is

shown on the map this mount doesn't come from the fell spotted eggs but has a chance

of dropping from the rare elite instead so this was a quick guide on how you can

obtain all five mana ray mounts if this helped you out make sure to smash the

like button and leave a comment down below if you have any questions and

don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already thank you for watching and I

Remembering Rhodes | Rhodes Greece Short Film (Nikon D5500) - Duration: 5:00.

Let me take you to a place that can bring tears to my eyes,

make me smile and reverse time even.

It can form in an instant but it'll last a lifetime.

A place called Memory.

Remembering Rhodes, I fall into a seductive ocean of memories,

reliving so many joyful experiences.

I remember her hands on my waist as we cruised along the coastline

with the Greek sunrays caressing our faces.

I remember adventures hiking, freediving, exploring the island and

coming home to our apartment trying to cook up our own little creations

or eating delicious Greek food.

I remember strolling around the ancient city and harbor of Rhodes,

with its medieval atmosphere, having ice cream at our favorite place.

Looking back on those times, I just think... no I just know that

I'm the best version of myself when I travel, especially so if

that one special person is along there with me to take it all in with.

It's such a powerful vibe, that even the struggles can be

laughed away at the end of the day because of an endless gratitude

for the privilege that is living and travelling and experiencing new things with

one another.

Travel, enjoy life and hold those that lift you up as close to you as you possibly

can.

Aftershock Weekly | Episode 27 | Understanding the Importance of Association - Duration: 4:56.

[intro music, tap for audio]

Well hello, and welcome to Episode 27 of Aftershock Weekly.

This week we're going to talk a little bit about association and how important it is

for your business, for being around like-minded people, for success.

Last week we talked and I told you that my daughter was on the way, and she was nine

days late, but she finally came here on Tuesday, and we're excited to invite Vivienne into

the world.

And as I was starting to think about the association, I thought, you know, I've got three kids:

Vivienne, Joshua, and Zachary.

And I know how important it is for them to be around good kids, right?

You don't want your kids hanging around kids with bad habits who, you know, maybe

pick their nose a little too much, or they cuss, or aren't in a good environment and

a bad influence, right?

So you're very protective over who your kids hang out with.

But how protective are you over who you associate with and who you hang out with that are like-minded

with your goals?

So I wanted to talk about that, because I heard a long time ago, I was nineteen years

old, a very good friend of mine said, "You're going to be the average of the five people

you spend the most time with."

And as I sit and think about that, and ponder it, think about the five people you spend

the most time with.

Your beliefs are probably pretty similar, your income is probably pretty similar, where

you live is probably pretty similar, your family might even be similar as far as if

you have kids, they have kids.

And if you want to step back and say, based on my goals for my family, and what I want

to do with my business, are these relationships the most beneficial

they can be?

Meaning, are the people that I'm working with, are they successful?

Are they like-minded, are they forward-thinking?

Are they in an industry like mine to where we can share ideas and grow?

So I'm going to have you do something.

Go ahead and get a piece of paper, and I'm going to ask you a few questions.

And I want you to write down those people, and put together a game plan.

First is, who do you respect that you'd like to spend more time with, if you can?

Go ahead and write that down.

Number two: who's an expert in your field or industry that you'd like to get to know

better, and spend some time with?

So think about those two people, what value can I add to them?

Not what they can bring to you, but what you can bring to them.

Meaning, if it's a family member, maybe you can invite them out for lunch and spend

some time, have some fellowship.

Maybe you give them a gift, you were thinking about them, and there's some value there.

If it's a business person, maybe you can take them out to lunch, maybe you guys can

go out to dinner, maybe you can share a book or a thought or an idea that you know is going

to benefit them.

Maybe it's industry-related, maybe it's relationship-related.

What's a relationship and an introduction you could make to that person?

Start writing down what value can I add to that person?

Next, write down what value can that person add to me?

What can I learn from that person?

What relationship might they be able to introduce me to?

This isn't selfish, this is actually a good thing to do, because you only have so much

time, so it's important that you spend time with people that you can add value to, and

that add value to you.

So by writing this down, and putting it on paper, it's going to help you be more strategic

in the time you spend in developing the people around you, learning from people around you,

and putting out value to the people that are closest to you.

Maybe it's your spouse that you're thinking about right now.

If it's your spouse, think about, "What can I do more for my spouse that I haven't

been doing lately?"

As a guy, there's a couple things, like doing the dishes for example.

I know I have done a better job in the last year, but I can do more.

I can pick up preemptively.

I can probably be a little more thoughtful in getting her a nice gift.

It doesn't have to be expensive, just thoughtful.

Bringing home her favorite food.

Bringing home a dessert she might like.

Getting her a massage, and scheduling it.

So those are some value-adds that, you know, I'm thinking about right now.

How can I give back more in that relationship?

So I hope this was helpful.

I hope that you did write these things down, because whether it's on a personal relationship

side or on a business relationship side, it's very important that you're strategic in

how you spend your time and who you add value to, because you only have so much time.

It's very limited.

Especially if you have kids and you're trying to keep work-life balance, making sure that

you have the top five written down of people that you want to spend and invest time into,

and then who will invest time into you, is something that could be a game-changer.

So with that, we thank you for tuning in, and we'll leave you with a quote.

[outro music]

Hayden, what did you learn today? 헤이든 오늘 뭐배웠어? 자막O [Hayden Royalty] - Duration: 10:38.

Hi. Hello

My name is Hayden

Today, I have a new corner.

The title is "Hayden. what did you learn today?"

So what I learned today...

Today with my partner, we walked around a bit

It was near Chang Gyeong Goong

I dont really have an interest for palaces

So I was like 'whatever, I see, I see'

Next to it, there's a hospital, and in that hospital, there is a garden.

When you go to the garden, there is a very nice view

After seeing that view, I was very amazed at its beauty

The sun was out and the scenery was just very nice

She told me this palace is a part of a bigger palace

This area was where princesses and 'second' wives lived

And the king lived in a different building

and...

omg my brain doesnt work

Suddenly changing from English to Korean, my brain isnt working

She told me that it was a palace

But when the Japanese colonized Korea, they treated this building as a zoo

So a lot of old people know this [building] as Chang Gyeong Won

which is basically a zoo

where they keep animals caged and people go to see animals

and I dont mean animals as a metaphor

but actually [just] animals. Because when she told me that

I thought "they tortured people there?"

And people watch people there? I don't get it.

and she said 'no, animals'

She basically said this palace was 'downgraded' into being a zoo [from a palace]

But then after the Japanese left

Did they leave?

After colonization ended, [Korea] rebuilt the [palace]

and saved what it was originally. and historically to Korean history

Now it's back to Chang Gyeong Goong

I thought that was really interesting

I dont know if this is written there?

I haven't even been there to actually read what they tell you about the palace.

To have someone tell me this, it's very interesting...

Yeah! and at the same time!!!!...

I was gifted this tshirt and I wanted to take a photo of it

With a nice background

So I went to the garden at the hospital.

It says Queer queer queer in the back.

While taking photos, there was an older man, who I felt was was looking at my direction.

So when we made eye contact, I said 'Hello'

My partner said 'why are you saying hello?'

And I said "I dont know, he was just staring at me, so I just said 'hello"

Then he asks me,

Have you been to the Queer Festival?

I heard Queer Festival, So I answered 'yes'

but my partner said 'what did he say?''

I said, 'he said Queer Festival'

I think we were both just very startled

because we didn't expect this man to say 'queer festival'

So I asked him "How do you know [about it]?

He said 'well you can look it up anywhere'

It's not that hard to find, I guess was his implication.

By the things people say, you can get a vibe

You can kind of tell if they are anti, pro, or just neutral

He was saying yea Korea is still quite conservative

we're not very open about LGBT

But, you know, times are changing

I just remember his hands

Implying that things are getting more positive and changing, getting more visible

This is a very interesting interaction.

We just talked and then left

It's such an interesting interaction.

It was so unfortunate because I wish we had a conversation because I had a lot of questions to ask

Like 'how he came about it, what he thinks about it, etc"

It was a very regular day that turned into something pretty interesting

So that's what happened today

I got something positive out of that interaction

It was unique

My partner told me that people there are white collar/ upper class

So that's possibly why he was able to read English

And also maybe more exposed to things

than the average person [in Korea]

Then I started asking myself, "I wonder how he knows?"

The way he said [queer] just flows from his mouth

I started making all these judgements and assumptions

If 'queer' is not in people's vocabulary,

it doesnt come out so softly and so flowly [smoothly]

because to be honest

not many people know about LGBT in Korea

and on top of that, they don't know the word 'queer'

So, it made me wonder

This guys is either really anti-LGBT and really religious and conservative

that he knows the word 'queer' and LGBT people and same-sex couples in Korea because

he's just around people who look up that just to hate on people

Then, the other side of me thought

I didn't even know what to think, to be honest

I get that people can randomly see articles and stuff

The way he was saying was like' you know, if you look it up online, it's just everywhere

And I'm just like "Why would you look it up online?"

What were you trying to find?

Yea, that's right.. cuz if you look it up. Sure, there's so many things that have articles about queer stuff

But.. Who really looks it up?

You're either looking it up to find information for yourself,

or you're looking it up because someone around you, just came out to you...

Or someone around you is.

Or you're really curious about it

or you dont like [LGBTQ people] and you look up and go online to hate on them

I mean, those are my assumptions

I dont know how other people will read into my situation

but that's how I read into this

interaction. This was my interpretation of my interaction

I think I was just too [caught off guard] to have a clear head

to have a conversation

anyway, so that's what happened to me... and that's also what I learned about Chang Gyeong Goong

Yea, it was all very interesting today

That was today's "Hayden, what did you learn today?" first episode

Thank you for watching

Follow me on instagram, subscribe

and I will see you next time. BYEEEE!!!!

If You Give Up It Means You Never Wanted It - Duration: 24:44.

Welcome everyone to today's podcast and today, I'm going to be talking to Sacha Liddiard so Sacha are you on the line

Yes, I am. I'm here ready to chat away. Thank you so much

I know you're giving up your Sunday morning to do this because I don't think our listeners would know that so she's actually in the

in the UK and I'm in Australia so at the moment there is something like a 9-hour time difference

So, thank you very much for giving up your Sunday morning for us

Little bit of background about how you became to be involved in your business

But firstly if you just let us know what it is that your business is called

Okay, well the business really haven't got a name because it basically

My business is

An e-commerce business, and it's what I do and operate from home

But I've got some other things that are starting to happen as well. Let me just take it back a step

and it'll become a little bit clearer really just a little bit about my background

And how I've now got to this stage where I feel that it's now time for me to get back to

to working for myself and

and being back to being that entrepreneur that I have dipped inand out of over the years really I

Come from a very entrepreneurial background. I don't know whether you you remember fuzzy felt

Do you fuzzy felt when you were younger vaguely

Yeah its about putting fuzzy pictures on a board that was my grandmother's business yes

She was a very successful lady, and I lived next door to her

she was a bit of a rock throughout my life and

And what I could see from her is by having her own business

What that gave her and it gave her an amazing rounded life, she travelled a heck of a lot

but she had a lot of time freedom and therefore she had time freedom for us as grandchildren and children so

always wanted to get back to that I

started out originally in the finance industry and I

did sales and it was very very successful did really well over there

but then I decided to start a family and

we made a decision myself and my husband that he would be at home looking after the kids and

for the future family

and I would go back out continue as my job because mine was really themain income coming in and

That worked what fine for a while I thought I was the the lady that could do it all have a family have a successful career

and

Do it all really

But it started become a bit of a struggle. I came home one night. I was so looking forward to

seeing my daughter

And it was the only thing I could think about all day long when I was working and I walked through the door and my husband was walking

came down the stairs, and he just said I am so sorry

I couldn't keep her awake any longer and my my heart sank

And you didn't know that feeling it's just

Horrible horrible, I thought what am I doing? This isn't important what I'm doing

out and about in the big wide world, what was I trying to create

And make the decision there and then that I would find some way that I could be at home

with my daughter

and then I with future son as well and

So I started an a started a business from home and I've done it before

my husband had a successful business as well and eventually

went on board with him and we workedtogether and

then

unfortunately

We got divorced and I had to get back out into the big wide crazy frightening world yet again and

It was a whole new ball game after being out of it for 15 years and getting back into the corporate world

It was quite scary

But I did alright I became a

coach and trainer

In the health and fitness industry

and I absolutely loved it and

I Remember someone saying to me that if you won the lottery what would you do?

Do you know what I don't think I'd give up my job it was actually a good job

Again it was giving me

It was giving me freedom to do what I want when I wanted to do it

But it was just the reward of seeing how I could make a difference to other people in

their in their in their busy world, so that's that's what I did for quite a long time, and then I

Got that dreaded call

and

Both myself and the sales director of the company and a large proportion of the sales team were made redundant

And it was overnight. It was really that awful

One minute you think everything's going swimmingly well, and you never need to think about anything else, and then it was some

redundancy

And I think when you get made redundant you panic

You think I and I did panic? I went and got offered a job straight away, which I thought great fantastic

No worries there, but the job I took

was the biggest mistake I think I have made within my career, it was good money

but it was a

Very long commute. It was hard work. It was dictatorship. It was being on conference calls about five or six times a day

No control over your own destiny whatsoever everything was controlled for you

and

I realized then that I never want ti ve put in this position again. I need to have a plan B and

That's when I started the business from home

There I'm working full-time or was working while I'm still working full-time. I'll explain that in a minute

But at the same time running a business from home, and that was the ecommerce business

Now that this is something I can do from home from my laptop

And it fittedin brilliantly and that I've been doing that for about the last

Two years and in the meantime changed jobs. I've got out of the fitness industry

I've gotten up out of the nightmare one and I'm back into

coaching and training

And

Then what I've discovered is that I can

Do a lot more coaching and training

online with people and that has started to develop massively and really teaching other people how to

Tstart their own businesses in exactly the same way that I've been able to do

Alongside a full-time job

And it's now come to a stage where I can't do both anymore

I'm working all the hours god sends

But I'm getting now enough income that's coming in on my home from the work that I'm doing from home

That's allowing me to now

But I handed my notice in about a month ago

You know what I did is to get me through the

Months where I was in this awful job. I

discovered podcasts. That's the time I discovered podcast and

And I started listening to other women

That were making a success of working from home, and that's what inspired me. That's what motivates me

So that's really what I did and I listen to podcasts because that was a long commute

So I listened on the way, and I listened on the way back and I highly recommend them to it

And I don't stop now. I continue to listen to podcasts every day

Ok it's amazing like technology hasn't made such a difference to our lives that you have actually a business online

but also the

podcasts

You know in a way when you think about it the commute that you have to do for your nightmare job in some way

it was

The silver lining wasn't it because it allowed you time to listen to a podcast so then you were able to create another life for yourself

yourself to move out of that situation you didnt want to be in yeah, yeah, and you've got to keep doing it, and you've got to keep

Because it gives you that hope and that inspiration of motivation other people can do it

Why can't you yeah, and I also think it's the knowledge because sometimes as you know we don't know what we don't know

Yeah, and and if you don't know something exists you think you're stuck

But when you listen to other people listen to the podcast and start looking around you find

There are other things out that you have no idea that you can actually get into and start doing

I meawho knew 30 years ago. We could be doing coaching online

Yeah, yeah 30 years ago you and I could talk for nothing?

The international telephone calls

And I think when you're in your bubble outside of this world you know the internet world you don't realize what's there

You have no idea people do have no idea and then you

Get yourself that you get yourself engrossed in it

And it just opens up a whole new world a whole new world of opportunity, and it's exciting it gives you

Hope it gives you something to work for so

Yeah

Can you pinpoint a time when you really started to take off or was it just a gradual process for you

Yeah, I think it's been a gradual process, and it's had some it's had some rocky stages along the way

You know where you feel? Oh this is?

Never gonna get this to where I need it to be to give me that comfort

giving up my work, but

So yes definitely a gradual process and an retractions as well. You know you've gone backwards, and you and you've gone forwards and

It's something we were going to chat about later

top tips of along the ways just never give up never ever give up because

If you have that belief and that right mindset from the beginning that this is gonna work. You've got it

The only way you're gonna be able to fail is by giving up so you just got to keep going

New ways of

Doing things as well so if youare really determined and passionate about doing something you'll find another way of doing it won't you?

absolutely

So for you it has been gradual, but when was it that you decided then okay?

I'm going to give up my job

Did you actually have something in mind?

But you know there's a certain point you're going to get to and then you could say this is it

I'm going to leave my job

Well Ihad a goal I'm gonna be 52 in October

And I wanted to make sure that I didn't reach my 52nd birthday and that I was still

trudging through

the mine field of work

So that was that was a bit of a mental goal

It's just other things that I can't yeah. You know I I have a husband a new husband now and and

I have a dog as well I

get home from work and its pitch black can't take the dog for a walk and

I thought I can't go through another winter

Of this I need to be at home. I need to be spending time outdoors. Enjoying my life

Enjoy my life with my husband. Enjoy my life with my dog family

I can't do another winter

So this October time of having a birthday

winter coming it's just but that's what I've got to do it so gradually gradually work towards it and

Yeah, and I feel

The business is at a stage where I feel quite comfortable

So you decided to go back Anything

that you were fearful about going back into your own business well, but working from home now, yeah

Yeah natural fears I think anybody

Would have is that fear of failure?

the fear of loneliness as well because I think in

the job that I've been in it's it's a massive people people based business and

You're talking to people all the time real people face to face and I think

My new business this is going to be a lot more is far more involved around

the telephone the internet, so yeah

That do you know what the fear of not having the life that I

Have always wanted for myself that what I dreamed for myself

That fear is far greater

I think if that fear is far greater

Everything else is quite insignificant. You'll do it

Yeah, you need that

Actually, I do have a Facebook

Both profile and page and on my banner is feel the fear and do it anyway

I've had that some

drummed into me for years and years and years and

It's a mantra that I would like also hurts something once. It's it carriage

Can't show up unless there's fear, so you can't prove that you can register as soon as the fear

Yeah, it can't be brave unless there is a fear

No absolutely, and I think you know you get to the stage in your life that you've actually overcome

So many fears along the way I've had so many times where I've had to make massive decisions and they are

Frightening decisions to make but I got there, and I've got to see the other side, and I think the more times you do that

The easier it becomes I was

Asked to do a webinar

Recently and I knew this webinar was going out to thousands and thousands of people

worldwide

that was terrifying absolutely terrifying and

I

Had everything prepared everything was organized and

About I just thought you know what I think I'm gonna close my computer down

so that I've got nothing there running in the background so everything's running smoothly, but I did this about 20 minutes or so before the

webinar was about to start and my computer decided to then do thousands and thousands of

The panic I was experiencing because I couldn't shut the computer downuntil it had done all the updates and

It kept going and it kept going it kept going and it got to the time that I was actually meant to be going live

And it was still going

It was horrendous

and

Anyway, I got through that I think I started about 15 minutes late

and I thought everybody would have disappeared and gone, and they were all still sitting in the room ready and waiting and I did it and

I loved it

No way what I found was it's so different from when you're working for a large organization

Because if anything technical happens you can just pick up the phone and ring IT Help Desk

everything's done for you, and I think

When you run your own business it makes you a lot more resilient, and you actually have to start thinking more laterally as well

yeah, yeah and surround yourself by other with other people I mean I

Think as entrepreneurs

We by nature are very independent people. I think the fact that I'm a you know I coach I train

People who have those skills

One of the things they probably lack is and I and I know and I can be guilty of myself is not

taking advice from other people

you think you can do this alone and

I think my biggest

My biggest learning is is is surrounding yourself by with people that

you trust and that you know you can go to for advice and mentorship, so you need a mentor yourself I

and I found that I found that the firm that helps

Have you found those people online, offline or a mixture of both

I have to say a mixture of both because one of those is my husband

Yeah do you know what the best of them are online

They are and I have formed some fantastic relationships

with people online

That but you take it offline 've met met them so consequently

Offline and

And our listeners don't know this but Sacha I actually met on this online mentorship groups we are in

We belong to the same group. It's in the UK so everybody I've had contact with in the UK. I've never met

I've met on zoom' meetings and things like that and it had some Skype sessions that some people

but

It was all online and I found that the online support

Was really good for me because sometimes when you're living in a small geographic area

Where there's not much people many people around or much support you do have to go online. That's so you can find it

Yeah, yeah we are not all lucky enough to have people living in the same neighborhood or in the same suburb in the same city are we know

that group that we're part of I have

actually dipped in and out I'm back in and I came out for a little while for no reason

It's just that other things have been going on in my life, but it's a great support network

And that's what you need and you need that support network. That's so true

So what are some of the best things about what you're doing now?

Well the excitement the

Possibilities of what I'm going to be able to achieve I

My biggest passion is travel by having this business now that I will have online

it means I can travel at the same time you have laptop have iPad will travel and

That's one of the biggest excitements I've got that hope and excitement of what's going to be around the corner and to me

Time freedom is most important

Yeah, okay

you get to a stage where you you just want more quality of life spending time doing what you want to do and

That excites me

immensely and

so yeah I

Think you're right there once you've been through the mill

Of having a job where you've had to go to a place a physical place and work

Commute and not having family time after and realising there is is so much more to life

Well, and it is about spending time with with people and I know in my case my sister said too much

She said what you've given up your job now. You're at home. What are you doing? I'm just so busy

How can I explain what I'm doing?

Yeah

And I'm sort of person that will get stuck in with absolutely. I want to learn as much as I can

It's an unreal lifestyle, and I'm sure it is a lot of fear for people that fear of technology

Fear of giving up the security and safe for the alleged security and safety of a job whereas you know from your experience

That one day it could be just absolute heaven and the next day you go in and you don't have it, okay?

You know they say see you later

Yeah, it's such a false

Misconception that

Your job in the corporate world is is safe. It's no safer

Yeah, is that realization, then absolutely hit me, and I do think you have to have that Plan B

You have some control yeah, I also think taking that that keeping that and that going with the plan B is I

With now working from that. I will be working from home

I have a plan B within that as well so that you're not putting all your eggs in one basket

So I have things that have got projects on the go. I've got a new company that I'm launching

So

It's not all

You haven't got everything

If one thing goes for you, you've got something else

thats going to be a backup as long as you've got the basics coivered You know that you're going to survive

It gives you that that feeling of comfort yeah, and that's yeah

Yeah, so it's going to ask you if you had one secret to tell me this is about starting their own business

What would it be?

Well, I think I touched on it earlier. It was you know just never give up, but the and also talking about being

surrounding yourself with positive people

You've heard the saying of you know you're the average of the of the five people that you spend the most time with

That is so true

When you're building your own business

From home or wherever you're doing it. You need to be surrounded by positive people and

Choose the people you choose

The people that you spend that time with very very carefully

Certain people and seek out more people that were going to be helpful to me

But also to be an inspiration and and the other thing about that quote

is you are also the average of the income is the average of the five people you spend the most ttime with

surround your self with those people who are motivated inspired beyond belief

It makes such a difference and and you need that because you're gonna have days where you feel

What on earth have I done?

Yeah, and you need somebody that you can go to that's that's been there done that and can help you so yeah

That's what that's it's a secret

I dont think its a secret I think people realise

I know that you're very

You're very involved in social media, and you've got a few places where people can find you

So would you just like to let us know you know what's your Facebook page and your Twitter and?

Yes find you online
