Waching daily Sep 4 2017

Come here.

I don't want to see you cry.

I don't want to see you sad or see you suffer, either.

I always want to see you smile. I want to make you smile.

So, for that purpose, I don't mind if you hate me.

That's what I decided.

But it hurts.

The truth is, I want to look after you more than anyone.

But I can't.

NEW BEGINNING【What happened to me and the future of this channel】 - Duration: 7:36.

Hi everyone!

My name is Lia and this is my first video in the last four years.

So..

It's been a while! Yo, what's up?

So, many of you might have been wondering where I've been, what happened to me,

why did I suddenly disappear...

off the planet of the Earth?

Well, today I want to explain what happened to me, why I stopped making videos, and what

I want to do with this channel from now on.

So, I am originally from Europe, Bulgaria.

Suddenly one day, in eight grade, my parents came back from work

and they informed me that they had won Green Cards.

At the summer of 2011, we moved to the state of Maryland

which is on the East Coast of the United States.

When I moved here I faced a language barrier, a cultural barrier.

There was so much I had to learn.

My English wasn't really good.

I had to do good in school, I had to make new friends;

It was a whole new world that I had to adapt to.

So, it was a very hard journey; a journey that was actually super beneficial to my growth

as a person.

I cannot emphasize enough how important I believe it is for people to experience living abroad.

I would recommend it to anyone.

I think everyone should go live abroad for a year or two

Get a job abroad, get an internship abroad, go study abroad.

It is so important to go see the world!

I think this creates mutual acceptance between

the different countries, and I think it is a key factor of developing

a more peaceful and happy united world.

If you don't know, I was part of 3 great studios, full of so many talented people.

Please, if you don't know them, go follow them; I will put a link in the description below

I was so proud to be part of their team; it was an honor, it was a great adventure.

However, they did overwhelm me...

There were projects all the time.

And you are kind of expected to do most of them….

And they also have pretty tight deadlines….

So, it was really really stressful to keep up with all my MEP parts

while at the same time

Working on my own projects in my free time,

while also... Relocating to the USA, learning a new language,

and doing well in school, and making new friends.

I was all over the place and it was hard.

It was hard.

But, you know, I tried to time manage myself, I tried to keep up with everything.

The second problem came when I realized that

America (USA) has much stricter laws about

copyright.

Here there is a huge amount of cyber security and if you get caught

Downloading songs/videos illegally, not giving credit,

you can get in a lot of trouble.

And it can also go on your record which totally ruins your future

Because every time you apply to jobs, it is gonna be there: that black spot on your record.

I did not want to get in any trouble, so I tried to stay away from that.

For a while, I used only footage that I had downloaded in Bulgaria, but..

I don't like reusing the same footage again and again and again.

So, I stopped using anime and I began using just pictures, drawings, manga.

Even though I am supposed to cite that as well, I feel that it is a little bit easier

to get my hands on.

But then the third and worst thing happened…

was that

My computer crashed.

Everything got deleted.

That's when I lost my Sony Vegas program, my Adobe After effects,

Everything that I used to edit videos with just puff…

DISAPPEARED.

It was a very difficult decision, it was a very sad decision, that I had to make, but…

I couldn't afford to get the program again.

I also didn't really have the time to edit anymore because I had all these other factors

that were building up.

So, I kind of just had to let it go.

That didn't mean that I stopped watching anime…

I kept on watching it, for a very long time.

I am still watching the videos you guys make. I give them thumbs up, I add them to my favorites,

I enjoy other people's work.

I have probably forgotten how to do good videos myself...

unfortunately, because it's been a very long time

but…

you know, maybe I'll try again.

We'll see what happens.

So I was like 14, maybe 15 years old, at the time I last posted my last video

Now I am almost 21.

And I think that I have changed a lot, I have grown a lot

I see the world as a much smaller place than I did before.

But I am still me.

And I still want to do videos for YouTube and I want to touch people's hearts.

What I want to focus on in the future

is the adventures that I go through

in my life.

I travel a lot.

I have been to most of Europe, I have been to North and South America, I've been to Egypt.

Obviously Japan is still a huge part of my heart.

I am absolutely in love with that country and their culture.

I am actually gonna take Japanese next year in college

And I am really really excited, even though it is a super hard language to learn

I believe I can do it

And I actually plan to go study abroad *in* Japan

Maybe next summer; we will see how my schedule

works out.

Until then though, I will post my other adventures, my other travels around the world.

I would like to ask you to challenge yourself, to get outside of your comfortable zone and

experience life!

Do things that you wouldn't think you would have done otherwise,

because these are the things

That are gonna change you, that are gonna

give you the most.

And even if you don't like it, and you decide you don't want to do it again

Well, at least you can say "I did it, I tried, I didn't like it, but

I am PROUD that I was BRAVE ENOUGH TO DO IT"

I have a friend who actually skydived last weekend.

I might do it, but we will see what happens because that is a little bit too much.

I am really excited for my new series of YouTube videos.

And I would really really appreciate it if you guys stick with me.

I want to thank you

For every single like, every single favorites, every single comment you've left…

…on my page, on my videos.

It means SO much to me.

I am so happy to have made people inspired,

I am happy to have been acknowledged by all of you, and...

…I really hope I continue to make you happy with my new videos.

Thank you so much for all of your support and I'll see you in the next video!

Bye bye!

TAYLOR SWIFT TICKET MASTER COLLAB - Duration: 13:40.

here we go so this is a fun one what are your thoughts

on the new Taylor Swift and Ticketmaster collab

All right okay so we just were about to talk about this because the

question came up and we were just like we started to talk about it and I was

like hold stop wait I want to do this on camera because I have a feeling that we

might disagree yeah who knows - there's a lot of people talking about it at the moment hot topic

And there is a lot of people who are not happy

most people are not happy what are your thoughts on it

Melissa - I think that Taylor Swift is actually a really really smart business woman I quite like the fact that she is always

challenging the music industry and challenging what the norms are however

I worry that with this new system where it's kind of based off how much merch

you're buying as a fan and how much you're doing whether it eliminates fans

that don't have as much money or don't perhaps have the resources to be able to

do that because I think if you're a massive fan of Taylor Swift and you're

perhaps saving a lot or you're relying on your parents who maybe don't earn a lot of

money in order to buy a ticket suddenly you're out of that system if you can't

afford to buy all of the merch and everything else around it - because it is

a financial system so if you don't know what the system is is Taylor Swift has

released her new single she's teamed up with Ticketmaster the big ticket machine

and the idea is a kind of reward scheme where the more it's not just the

more you buy yeah from what I've looked into yeah the more

you engage the more you look after Taylor Swift the more she looks after

you effectively on the Taylor Swift team the way they've done this is

they've said look we all hate the bots when you're trying to get

a ticket and you get up at 7 o'clock in the morning and your hand is hovering

over the button and it's like the clock strikes nine o'clock in the morning and

you type the button in it says well you sold out and you're like how the fuck I

literally was like one second into it how can it be sold out in three seconds

we hate that we hate ticket touts we hate all that us musicians hate it

the consumers hate it it's unfair on the artists the artists hate it the artists

feel like their take that's taking their their fanbase for a ride because they

having to pay extortion it amounts of money which they're not only don't come

to the artists but also they just feel like taking that money aside it's just

unfair on their fanbase so Taylor Swift and I have so much time for Taylor

Swift because she out of everyone in the pop mainstream side of the music industry is

one person who realises that there aren't rules whilst everyone else will go yeah

the rules are different she knows it she knows that she is building

this Empire and she is able to make up her own rules and she has got the fan

base to be able to do it I think we'll see a lot more of this or stuff from her

now this is to me is supply and demand like I completely agree Taylor Swift is

gonna do something that is gonna alienate fans who can't afford to see

Taylor Swift that is a shitter however should it not be done because twenty

thirty percent of the fan bases are alienated therefore seventy percent of

people who would do stuff who would want to be involved who would want to get

tickets without those robot aren't yeah they wouldn't have this opportunity if

you are a massive massive fan you get to engage and obsess over Taylor Swift

and it earns you points so - yeah you get a reward so in my head I'm like

this is supply and demand if she puts on a tour you know if you put on a gig and

you can get two hundred people to your gig and you've only got a venue that

holds 30 people then you're gonna fill it up you've got two hundred people who

want to come you've got thirty places so then it's like okay well how am I gonna

find the people who deserve to come this is the way you could say well I can't

find that out now there is a really fine line because I am loving this idea

because someone is trying something new to say fuck the touts fuck the boss

let's do some in and try something different and try and actually look

after our fans even though it will also be looking

after Taylor Swift and it feels a bit sticky with the whole kind of the

financial side to it it's not just engagement but you know if you look at

one thing Taylor Swift is better than everybody in the entire world that I

would say it is how to PR yourself in a very clever way so what used to happen

was you get single you go on TV and you go on the Graham Norton Show where

you go on Top of the Pops or you go one of those programs nowadays with social

media someone like Ed Sheeran or Taylor Swift can do something like turn up

at weddings and sing the first dance like Ed Sheeran did and all of a

sudden that is worth 10 times the amount of publicity and add space and

marketing and getting in front of eyes then it would be just going on

one of these TV shows for the same amount of time and effort so Taylor

Swift is amazing about she does stuff like you know Taylor Swift does a lot of

stuff behind the scenes to look after her fan base

she buys Christmas presents for her fans like she does stuff like that you know

she does stuff like that kind of Oprah Winfrey you get a car you can she does

that kind of stuff so if you look at someone who will take and then put back

in again who could pull this off is Taylor Swift 100% because she has got the

die-hard fans she has got enough fans who've got enough money to say well yeah

I'm gonna buy a t-shirt when I'm there so I'll just buy a t-shirt before and then

get a ticket and they will invest where it gets a little sticky is there

does feel like a few things like I read one article which said you buy the CD

you pre-order the CD but if you want the CD on day one which is when everyone

wants it you have to pay $50 shipping I was like I was like that's who's

delivering that is Kanye turning up to deliver that what's happening so you

know how it works then is there's a fine line and I would like to know

because all of the details aren't quite out that I've seen but I would like to

see how much of this is purely financial how much of this is engagement how much

of this is if you watch my new video and you post on your

Facebook and you post on your YouTube and you leave comments how much of that

is gonna go towards it as well because that is something that is gonna be very

very beneficial she's understanding that's the social media and as she

always has on how to not only how to get out there as a share but she's also

understanding now how to kick in the algorithm so Facebook is just doing the

job for her and it's you know the thing is is we're looking at this from saying

well you know people can have to spend loads and loads of money well I'm like

true and if you take it into consideration that Taylor Swift's very

very rich it you kind of go what feels a bit dirty done exactly the same thing

that is exactly the same thing that is you look after me I will look after you

if you share my shit I'll give you stuff or give you the

opportunity to win stuff no difference that is this week I gave

away a base And also this week I'm about to give

away a day in the studio next week I'll pay for a rehearsal next week I'll do

some tickets for a gig next week I will pay for you know for a week's worth of

rehearsal with a band or whatever is and I'm saying you can win these but you've

got to help trigger my engagement you've got to build up my Facebook algorithm

and my YouTube algorithm because I know that if that triggers more people will

see it and those more people will like it and then those more people and it

goes out and it goes out and it goes out it goes out that's exactly the same

thing the only difference is I'm not making you pay so it's a free thing so

therefore you kind of go put as acceptable because you know all we have

to do is type hashtag 60minwin and then I get the opportunity to actually get

some nice prizes and that kind of stuff well Taylor Swift has just got a much

much more hardcore audience that she can say yeah well you know buy a t-shirt like

look after me why should the kids who love me and love and want to get

involved in my gigs why should they be missing out because a bot will buy the

ticket and then someone's rich dad will pay 300 quid for a ticket anyway so I

can totally see where this is going but but more importantly taking aside the

debate because like I can see both I can see when certain kids go oh price down

the market and it's like that feels nastty I bet you she does

something about that I bet you she does but more importantly what I love about this

is I was with Bruce yesterday and Bruce said something amazing he said the

music industry has been bitten because the music industry thought it owned

music or thinks he owns music it doesn't now everyone's got a piece of the action

which i think is an amazing way of looking the music industry thought that

it own music and university thinks it owns knowledge and it's bullshit it's

complete bullshit and taylor swift is there to say fuck you I'll do this my

own way and she might fall flat on her face because these things happen if

everyone remembers a couple of years ago U2 went in the studio they made an

album and they gave it to everybody on the iTunes for free now if you actually

analyze that they went into the studio and they said here is a free thing and

we fucking hated them like we were like how dare you giving me free stuff that I

don't want and I was like oh actually if you look at it's quite a nice gesture

they actually went to the studio they paid all that money they teamed up with

iTunes they put it on your iTunes and just kind of went there the hard part

was we couldn't delete it so it backfired in their faces and they got

a lot of hate for it if I was U2 I'd been sitting there thinking oh I

thought that was really I thought that was good so you know I can totally

see how this could backfire however I don't think it will because I think

she's got such diehard friends but what is good is she's doing something that

hasn't been done before to say the rules are gone - I'd just like to see

what she does to look after those that are diehard fans but can't quite afford

it and like another thing as well I suppose is say your say you're under 14

and you can't go to the venue on your own will your parents not be able to buy

tickets - Possibly I'm sure they'll have some kind of what

you get allocated two or three - I think if she plans ways around it as long as all of her fans are involved in it

I think it could actually work really well but I think the controversy is obviously

instantly people say oh this is the money that's all it is -

and do you know what if it is so what

You know it's a way of making money in the industry but the industry doesn't make money out of this music

- every single day I get musicians asking me about how am I gonna make money

my tour doesn't make money I can't go on tour it doesn't make any money my

merchandise doesn't sell can't make any money I've made a record I'm trying to

sell it nobody wants to buy it I can't make any money like if I say to 99% of

the people here look I've found a way that you can actually monetize this

everyone goes oh thank fuck for that that's what she's trying to do she's

trying to go look let me find a new way let me experiment because I have got a

shield which is I'm fucking Taylor Swift if anyone can try something

new it's me and if I can fix this every artist in the whole of the world will go

that works we'll do the same thing so this is ballsy as fuck it's brilliant

so cut some slack so that's what I think that's my thoughts my thoughts is

is everyone bitches and whinges and moans about how the music industry

is right now and how ticket touts and all those things on how you

can't make any money and stuff at least she's trying something new and if she's

trying something new and it makes her a shit ton of money but it actually is a

way of working entrepreneurial wins she's creative she's try something new

it wins if it doesn't she falls flat on her face entrepreneurial gamble that's

just the way is you risk and reward so personally I hope she makes a shit ton

of money because I know she's a good person and she'll put it back in again

I hope the fans actually don't have to pay three times as much for a ticket or

can't get ticket and have that disappointment which we've all had

trying to get tickets to our previous show so for me I'm a swiftly I'm

a swifty fan okay tell us what you think I would love to know what musicians

think cuz if anyone's gonna have a problem with this it's gonna be

musicians but I would love to know what you think and I have no problem with you

disagreeing on this because this is just my way of thinking but let me know on

the comments below whether you are up for this Taylor Swift idea if you're not

what you like about it what you don't like about it and what you are

going to try and implement into your band product in order to try and see if

this is going to work

Limitations of Self Control: The Cookies and Radishes Study - Ep. 3 - Duration: 4:33.

In today's episode, we return to the book Switch by Chip and Dan Heath.

We'll examine the second major concept in the book: the exhaustibility of self-control

and introduce the metaphor of the Elephant and Rider.

Clocky is an alarm clock with wheels.

When it goes off, it rolls off your nightstand forcing you to chase it if you want it to

stop its alarm.

It sold 35,000 units at $50 each in its first two years on the market.

The success of Clocky tells us that a lot of people have a problem with hitting the

snooze and snoozing past appointments.

It shows us that people are of two minds: A rational mind that wants to get up early

and have plenty of time to make it to work and an emotional mind that wants to stay in

those warm blankets just a few minutes more.

We see this two-mindedness everywhere.

When we start a new diet, we throw out junk food because our rational mind knows that

our emotional mind will not be able to resist cravings when they come.

The psychologist Jonathan Raidt used a colorful metaphor to describe our two minds: the emotional

mind is an Elephant and the rational mind is its Rider.

The Rider holds the reins and seems to be the leader, but the Rider's control is precarious

because he is no match for the heavy Elephant when they disagree about what direction to

go in.

Some college students were asked to participate in a study of "food perception".

They were asked to arrive hungry and were led to a room that smelled of fresh-baked

chocolate chip cookies.

At the center of the room was a table with two bowls.

In one bowl were fresh cookies.

In another bowl, it was radishes.

The researchers told the students that they would receive follow up questions about their

memories of the distinct flavors of cookies and radishes but this was just a cover story.

Half the students were asked to eat two or three cookies and no radishes.

The other half were asked to eat two or three radishes and no cookies.

This so-called "taste study" was supposed to be over when they finished eating, but

then a second group of researchers entered the room with a second, supposedly unrelated

study on the ability to solve a certain kind of puzzle.

The college students were given puzzles that required them to trace a geometric shape without

lifting their pens or retracing any lines.

They were given multiple sheets of paper so they could try as many times as they needed.

The puzzles were actually unsolvable.

The researchers wanted to see how long the college students would persist at such a frustrating

task before giving up.

The students who did not have to resist eating the chocolate-chip cookies spent 19 minutes

on the task.

The radish eaters gave up after only 8 minutes.

Why did they give up so easily?

They ran out of self-control, demonstrating that self-control is an exhaustible resource.

This has large implications because self-control isn't just the willpower to fight vice, but

is any kind of self-supervision.

Think about how your mind works when you are doing something complicated that is not routine,

such as assembling a new bookshelf or learning a new dance.

You are careful and deliberate with your actions.

Contrast that with those times when you are mostly on autopilot.

Have you had a sensation while driving that you can't remember the last few miles of road?

Or think about the easy, unthinking way you take a shower or make your morning coffee.

The research shows that we burn up self-control when we are managing the impression we are

making on others, coping with fears, controlling our spending, or trying to focus on simple

instructions like "Don't think of a white bear".

This matters for change because when someone is trying to change something, they are usually

tinkering with behavior that had become automatic, and changing that requires careful

supervision.

The bigger the change, the more it will sap people's self-control.

When you exhaust people's self control, you are exhausting precisely the mental muscles

needed to make a big change.

And that's the second surprise about change: what looks like laziness is often exhaustion.

Can't You See My Invisible Pain? - Duration: 1:14.

I have Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. It started in my face, neck and shoulder,

and it jumped to my foot. And he came home from work and I was like,

"I got a splinter in my foot, it's burning. Something's wrong with my foot."

And I made him get a magnifying glass and search my foot to find something wrong

with it, with a magnifying glass, to..."You have to find something because,

if you don't find something that means that my disease is spreading, which is a

really, really bad thing. And so I just begged him to find something,

and he never found anything because, obviously it was just my disease spreading

and getting worse. But I know exactly when someone says,

"Can't you see my invisible pain?" I can see it. I can see skin color changes in

people. Or I see, like my right eye droops more than my left eye.

The worse my pain gets, the more my eye droops. Things like that,

I had to teach my husband how to spot those things so that he knows,

"Oh, Barbie's not just being cranky, Barbie actually doesn't feel good,"

and he can tell now by, like if my skin starts getting really red,

or my eye starts drooping more, he can start to see those invisible things that

the average person doesn't even know to look for.
