Today I am going to tell you how to make Feerni
Lets start with the ingredients
First of all we are having 2 ltr full cream milk
Next we are having 200 gm broken rice soaked in water. Do not take more than that
After this we are having 1 1/2 cup sugar. These type of desserts require high sugar
Desserts which are serve cold require more sugar as compare to desserts serve as hot
After this we are having pistachios (as required) cut into pieces
almonds and cashew nuts (as required) cut into small pieces, chironji (as required)
15-20 resins and 1/4 tsp green cardamom powder.
Do not take more green cardamom powder otherwise it will bitter the dessert
In the end we are having 4-5 silver sheets for decoration
Always use silver sheets when the dessert is cold. Never apply on hot dessert
I am going to serve this dessert into mud pots because traditionally its always serve in it

Lets start our dish
First of all boil the milk in a cooking pot
Add soaked rice into the milk. Always use broken rice for these type of desserts because they cook easily
Keep on stirring with the help of a big spoon continuously to prevent lump formation
Keep on stirring for 2-3 minutes continuously. When the milk starts to boil again, turn the flame to medium
It will take around 30 min to cook. Keep on checking from time to time
Its been about 30 min and the rice are cooked completely. The consistency is thick enough
Now we will blend the rice with the help of a hand blender
After this we will cook the blend rice and milk again
This method of cooking feerni is time saving
Now we will add sugar into it and cook until the sugar is dissolved completely
At this stage add dry fruits and remaining ingredients into it
Cook for some time and then immediately pour it into the mud pots
Our feerni is ready. Now I am going to put it into the mud pots
Let the feerni cool down and then apply silver sheets over it.
Our feerni is ready. I am just going to share a small memory of my childhood.
When I was a little kid and whenever my mother and my grandmother used to make it
I was always asked to carry these mud pots to our neighbours houses. We always use to share it with neighbours

STEAMED FISH – CHINESE RESTAURANT STYLE - Duration: 4:15.
With some simple techniques it is easy to cook steamed fish like what you can
get from a Chinese restaurant at home. We start by cutting the green onions into
fine strips. We like to have lots of green onions to enhance the flavor of
the dish. Cut the ginger into fine strips. Ginger has a very strong flavor as such
we should cut it as thinly as possible.
We have here one whole Japanese sea bass. Buy the freshest fish you can find. This
is the most important cooking tip for this recipe. To prepare the fish for
steaming pour a tablespoon of shaoxing wine over the fish.
Place a few slices of ginger
and pour a tablespoon of oil on the fish.
How long to steam really depends on the size of the fish. As this is a relatively
small fish, eight minutes is sufficient. It is important that we do not overcook
the fish. We can prepare the sauce while waiting. We need 2 tbsp of soy sauce
4 tbsp of water
one teaspoon of sugar
and one teaspoon of sesame oil
Heat up about two tablespoon of oil in a saucepan until the oil is very hot just
before smoking point. After 8 minutes remove the fish from the steamer.
Transfer the fish to another plate. Discard the ginger and steaming water
Place the green onions and ginger on top of the fish.
Pour the hot oil over the aromatics to release their flavor. You should be able
to see the bubbles and hear the sizzling sound.
Pour the soya sauce mixture onto the plate.

My Healthy Morning Beauty Routine | Morning Swim | Lané - Duration: 12:08.
hey guys so one of my favorite things to do in the morning when I wake up is to
put on my swimming costume and jump into our lovely pool over here I just find it
so refreshing and it wakes me up
sometimes I do these informal chats and then I just realize like a little bit
after I started that the microphone isn't working but I think it's on at the
moment I just had an early morning swim that's
one of my favorite things to do I usually jump in the pool after I've gone
to the gym or if I don't go to the gym that day then I'll just go and jump in
the pool right after I wake up it's like the nicest thing it makes me want to get
out of bed because it's something exciting it's not like a drag I just
jump out of bed put on my costume run down the stairs and jump in and then sometimes
but don't tell anyone about this but if there's no one at home if I'm alone then
I'll actually skinny dip my hair is very clean so I didn't actually want to wet it today
my dad actually, I think he thinks it's so stupid when girls don't want to
get their hair wet because he's such an adventure and outdoor enthusiast so I
think he just thinks it's so silly but anyway, sometimes you don't want to wash
your hair too often but the chlorine also really does dry it out so if I can
skip on making it wet then I do
I have this plaster here I think it blends in quite well I
don't know if you can see it I actually have a pimple and I just wanted to cover
it up because I hate it when you have like a pimple it's so ugly and I thought
in my neck a small plaster would be okay obviously
if the pimple is on my face then I won't really put a plaster on it because that
would just be weird but anyway I love this background this is our swimming
pool over here and then these flowers are blooming so beautifully at the
moment it's very pink our garden is looking really pink at the moment and it
also matches the pink of my costume I bought this speedo in San Francisco
my other one I used to just have like a plain navy blue and a black one I like a very
classic look I went to San Francisco and I was in a rush to buy a new speedo like
a swimming costume because I was going to the gym there's an Equinox there
that has a really cool swimming pool and I love swimming especially when I'm in
the city like in New York or San Francisco I always find a pool because
it's so refreshing to have that in the city when the city's like very closed in
and it's just buildings then swimming really does feel like so free and fresh
and everything like that but anyway so I think I just went to like the Macy's or
Bloomingdale's and they ended up only having this one in my size which is a
size small I think or like a 34 or a 36 there's someone at the door I think
he's gonna think there's someone coming to sort out one of our new cupboards and he's
going to think I'm so weird sitting here talking to myself maybe I should like pretend
to do yoga or something and act like I'm meditating maybe I should just cover
myself with a towel and hide I think I'm just gonna stand until he's gone and
our pool is always fresh it's a little bit cool but it's not like freezing I
can stay in there for a while I can definitely swim a few lengths and yes I
think I learnt this from my dad because I always used to wake up with the splash
of my dad jumping into the pool with his speedo and my dad was actually he played
water polo for the Springbok team just waiting for this man to go upstairs
it's a miracle that our dog Katrien isn't barking at him because she usually
just goes crazy when anyone arives yeah my mom's trying to calm her down
oh it's pretty windy today I must say I'm just gonna wait
okay anyway so I learnt the swimming from my dad he used to be a Springbok
water polo player and he actually got a scholarship to go to UCLA for water polo
but he ended up not going and I think that's something that he still
wishes he actually did that but anyway what was I talking about
oh yes so my dad jumps in the pool every single morning in his Speedo and
he's done that since I was probably like three years old and about probably three
months ago I just said to myself you know that looks like so much fun and he's
always so refreshed and cheery and smiley after he gets out of the pool and
he also smells nice like that chlorine swimming pool fresh smell is actually
just it smells like morning it smells like a fresh start so I started
doing that and I must say like I don't mind cold water but I do definitely get
cold easily so it did take a while to get used to the cold because it still
it's like a shock to your system especially if you're curled up in bed
and you've been very warm and then you jump into the pool but it just it
refreshes you so much and I actually feel like it refreshes my skin as well
it gives you that morning glow because I don't know if you know but if you
wash your face with cold water or iced water then it actually like tightens
your skin and makes you look more camera-ready that's like some models do
that or like for magazine shoots people do that so if swimming or
swimming in cold water is a part of your morning routine then you do get that
glowy tight fresh skin look which is really
exciting and definitely a bonus point and yeah whenever I can then I actually
go swimming in the sea instead of in the pool that's my favorite thing to do but
sometimes it just feels like a bit of a mission
to go to the beach that early and it's kind of scary but also cool to be at the
beach so early in the morning because usually there's no one there yet and
it's just like you and the beach and the waves which is cool but also like at
home it's comforting because it's your house it's your environment so it
doesn't feel as scary but the sea is definitely salt water is so much better
for your skin than chlorine obviously and then the sea air also is very
healthy to breathe in so that's a great thing for your lungs early in the
morning my hair is so frizzy but anyway
yeah so that's my morning routine jumping into the pool as a fresh start
and then I'm usually ready to make our smoothie which is another exciting
part of my morning routine and I think I'll do a separate video on that on the
smoothie making bit but I just this is a video I've been wanting to make for a
long time now just like an informal chat about my morning routine and about
swimming and about speedo and so I basically started wearing speedo
costumes for swimming because of my dad and it's like a very swimmer thing to do
not like I'm a professional swimmer or anything it just feels sophisticated and
with a good hard-working mindset if you wear a speedo like if you go swimming
for lengths or something it feels very sophisticated
and classy and sports women like to swim in a brand like speedo
you know it means serious business so if you swim in a speedo in the morning it
feels like you're ready to take on some serious work and get some work done
whereas if I'm going to swim in my bikini every morning it'll just feel like I'm
on holiday and although I do love being on holiday it's not the best mindset to
be in if you want to get some work done that day so that's my little snippet on
speedos and swimming I'm just trying to think if I left anything out
okay yes and then I use this swimming towel we have them it's from Country
Road Country Road is a brand within Woolworths and they actually make such
beautiful clothing I think it's made in Australia I know country road is also in
Australia but they especially have beautiful towels they're so colorful and
I love the pink and the Navy and the light blue and they always they bring
out new designs every year and it's always so exciting because a lot of
South Africans actually buy this brand so the beaches are always kind of packed
with the country road towels and you can spot them from quite far away and yeah
so I just I'm using this towel now and we usually have a basket I can also
do a close-up shot to show you where we keep all of our towels neatly rolled up
the guy is leaving now I'm just waiting he's gonna peek back
