Waching daily Jan 4 2019

Welcome back everybody mark with Exotic Car Play Place today a continuation of

the vlog from the weekend where we talked about what happened to this car

my x5 all of a sudden this thing shit outta code and I'm trying to figure out

what it is so I plugged into the machine and I figured out what the problem was

and we'll talk about that tomorrow but today we're also going to talk about how

would you clean your car as you can see there's lots of snow on here some of

which I threw on there obviously for a makeup we're going to talk about how I

came about cleaning my expensive car now just because you know it is not two

hundred thousand dollar car doesn't mean you don't want the paint looking nice I

mean you've got a car like this here which of course you wouldn't use a

scraper on that you wouldn't use a shovel on that you would use something

like this on a Lambo right so then why wouldn't you do this same kind of

treatment on this even though it's a daily driver the x5 black paint

everybody knows black paint swirls so if you have a premium car or any kind of

expensive car you want to protect your investment and so here we have snow on

here and that's what today I want to show you guys how I came about actually

doing a full snow cleanup on this car now it snows here a lot where I'm from

obviously you can see we've got snow all over the place snow snow snow that's the

name of the game around here so how do we cope with the snowy conditions with

you know with nice cars obviously a BMWs not a cheap car but you want to maintain

it you want to look after it so the standard use of standard brushes

here I'm gonna show you standard brush like this you don't want to use yeah you

can use it on an old beater like this Volkswagen we have here people are gonna

clean that you know you got snow built up why not right let's just clean that

up yeah yeah there you go see that's fine this is a cheap car we're talking

about you know a thousand dollar car not an expensive machine so it doesn't

really matter but this one here do I want to start scraping the paint with

this brush not really I mean this here is very

and I'm not to mention when you're scraping you're scraping windows you

know you're scraping this you might have rocks and debris that built up on your

window Now you've got it inside the brush so

why would I use it to brush the paint off before I go driving the sad part is

there's lots of people that just do this and they'll just and then off they go

they'll just clean enough just to see out the little window and then they'll

drive away like that lots of people drive like that and where I see where I

come from you don't want to do that that's very dangerous but you don't want

to use this all over the paint like that that will scratch the paint this garbage

here so another thing you don't want to use is this obviously ooh that would

hurt but I've seen people use it on their cars like this oh look at that bad

news very sharp look at the edges on that but people use this so what other

kind of options do we have I want to show you the best way that I

learn to remove snow from your car before setting off if you have the time

if you have the money there's different versions of what I will show you and

that essentially is a leaf blower the best tool going for the job it does two

things well other than using for leaves of

course it'll blow the snow off your car for sure that's no problem

but you can actually use it in the summertime to blow the water off after

you've washed your car it does a great job of blowing out the locks and blowing

out the mirrors the leaf blowers work great and the reason I like the leaf

blower is because it pulls fresh air into the intake and blows the same fresh

air out but just at a much higher velocity so you're not spraying rocks

you're not spraying gravel you're spraying accelerated air and so as long

as you're doing it in relatively clean conditions you don't have a really dusty

environment you're gonna be putting clean air onto your car and it's gonna

clean all of this off and I'm gonna give you a short demonstration guys so take

this for what it is the best way to protect your paint in the winter time is

two things number one is washing it obviously this car is very very dirty

washing it's very very important but also the other key element is not

introducing more damage then you would need to because snow is

ultimately snow is just water but why would you want to have gravel and rocks

or a rough brush scraped all over that just blow it off and I'll show you here

let's do a demo

so at the end of the day everybody you probably want to treat your BMW or any

other premium car with as much love and care and attention as you can give it

because that's ultimately what's going to pay off in the end it gives you a

vehicle that shows pride it gives a vehicle that improves your resale value

and at the end of the day you know what why not just take care of what you have

they say your vehicle is your second largest investment in your lifetime so

everybody I hope that helps in taking care of your paint on your expensive

premium car for the winter time when you have lots of snow like we do up here in

any of the northern states or Canada you will be faced with many many days of

snow on the paint how can you take care of it just like I showed you guys use a

blower whenever you can keep the brushes like this off of the paint and you

should be good to go thanks everybody make sure you check back on my vlog that

I posted earlier this week actually that came out on Wednesday make sure you

check out the vlog for the whole beginning of the story line on this x5

and like I said make sure you give it a thumbs up like and don't forget to

subscribe to the channel and I'd really love to see you guys on the next one

hope to see you then catch you then guys bye bye

The Evidence That The Lost City of Atlantis Existed? - Duration: 9:20.

I was lost, then I was found, you might hear some of the wonders of the world say if they

could speak.

We might look at perhaps the best known once-lost city in Machu Picchu, that was abandoned in

the 16th century and discovered again in the 20th century.

Then you have the spellbinding city of Angkor in Cambodia, which was never really lost,

but certainly needed a lot of restoration for it to look as magnificent as it does today.

We also have cities that are perhaps only legends, El Dorado, The Lost City of Gold;

or The Lost City of Z, whose mystery lured explorers from Europe… and some never returned

home.

But today we'll talk about perhaps greatest legend of them all, in this episode of the

Infographics Show, The Evidence That The lost city of Atlantis Existed.

If we want to know the origins of the city of Atlantis we have to go back to the great,

Greek ancient philosopher known as Plato.

You've probably heard of the guy.

Some writers have said all philosophy is just a footnote to Plato, while he's the man

that wrote the Socratic dialogues; he came up with The Cave allegory we still talk about

today and he advanced ideas on justice, law, and learning that we all should be thankful

for.

With that in mind, if Plato was the one that started the story of Atlantis, perhaps we

should take him seriously?

Well, while there are still people that believe Atlantis was real, most others, tell us Plato

told that tale as an allegory, meaning the story had a hidden meaning in it.

Plato said in 360 B.C. that these Atlanteans had a pretty good life.

No doubt if such a thing existed back then, Atlantis would have come very high in standard

of living indexes.

The people that lived there were human, but also God-like, according to Plato.

Where the island is, is actually widely debated, with some saying that the island, and surrounding

islands, were just somewhere in the Mediterranean, and others saying near Spain, in the Pacific,

the Caribbean or even close to Antarctica.

The place is described as having one main island, with smaller islands surrounding it.

It was a wonderful spot, too, where exotic wildlife not seen anywhere else wandered around,

and where precious metals were plentiful.

It was said living there was a Utopian existence, before Sir Thomas More wrote his book 'Utopia'

in 1516 and we started using that word to mean the apogee of human civilization.

You get the picture, Atlantis was supposed to be perfect in every way.

No one messed with the Atlanteans, either, because they had an impenetrable navy.

So, as we said, a lot of people don't think this place actually existed and Plato wrote

the story as an allegory of hubris.

Hubris could be said to be when someone or something gets too big for its boots, that

pride comes before a fall.

For the Greeks it meant, "excessive pride, violating the bounds set for humans."

We all know what happened to Greeks in their mythologies, when they got cocky and started

thinking they were almost above the Gods: they were taken down a notch or two, and often

in violent fashion.

And that's what happened to Atlantis.

You see, in Plato's story these people living the high life in Atlantis started to become

corrupt, greedy, morally bankrupt.

Maybe he foresaw this happening to all great civilizations, that empires decline, and that's

why we have a theory of Declinism.

The people became warlike, they tried to expand into other territories, and they lost their

way.

For that, the Gods sent them all kinds of horrors, including earthquakes and floods.

Plato wrote, "And in a single day and night of misfortune all your warlike men in a body

sank into the earth, and the island of Atlantis in like manner disappeared in the depths of

the sea.

For which reason the sea in those parts is impassable and impenetrable, because there

is a shoal of mud in the way; and this was caused by the subsidence of the island."

And that was that, goodbye Atlantis.

While this is thought to be an allegory, Plato may not have pulled this tale out of a hat.

Not only was Plato well aware that societies are easily corruptible, and greatness can

soon turn into something counter to that greatness, but he also knew that civilizations had been

rubbed off the face of the Earth due to the sometimes-brutal whims of nature.

It was known to him that a massive volcanic eruption could wipe out a people.

Still, we must now ask, was Plato totally making this story up, or was it based on a

real civilization with perhaps a few embellishments?

Some scholars do believe such a place existed, and throughout history in spite of being called

components of pseudoarchaeology, they have tried to present a case for Atlantis existing.

Let's now have a look at what they say.

One man is said to have brought the Atlantis story back to life in the 19th century, and

his name was Ignatius L. Donnelly.

The U.S. congressman and part-time scientist wrote the book "Atlantis: the Antediluvian

World."

It's important to see what kind of a man he was when we consider he believed that a

world used to exist that was perhaps technologically superior and morally superior to other places.

He once wrote about America, saying, "Corruption dominates the ballot-box, the Legislatures,

the Congress….

The people are demoralized; The newspapers are largely subsidized, or muzzled, public

opinion silenced, business prostrated, homes covered with mortgages, labor impoverished."

That was in 1892, and we can hear similar things said today.

He believed Atlantis was a great culture, and one which spawned other ancient cultures

such as the Maya culture.

"There now lies beneath the waters of the Atlantic, covered, doubtless, by hundreds

of feet of volcanic debris, an amount of gold and silver exceeding many times that brought

to Europe from Peru, Mexico, and Central America since the time of Columbus," he said in

his book, but the problem was a lack of incontestable proof.

Nonetheless, he had a lot of people thinking about Atlantis again, a utopia to show that

something existed better than the corrupt modern world he talked about.

He even went as far to say that The Garden of Eden had been in Atlantis, and the reason

for the sinking of the city was due to the great flood as depicted in the Old Testament.

So, to believe his theory you also have to buy into the Great Flood, and not everyone,

even some Christians, are certain that ever happened.

Let's move on.

We have a theory that Atlantis was actually somewhere off the coast of the Bahamas.

Thanks to Donnelly a slew of writers started telling us that indeed Atlantis had existed.

One such writer was Charles Berlitz, who in the 1970s said that the Bermuda Triangle had

swallowed the city.

People have agreed, seeing as that underwater close to the Bahamas you have something called

the "Bimini Road".

This is a large group of stones that lie on the ocean floor, which do look like the remnants

of a sunken city.

But as spectacular as it looks, geologists tell us this is just a natural phenomenon.

Then you have the theory that Atlantis was part of Antarctica.

In 1958 a book called "Earth's Shifting Crust" writer Charles Hapgood said that

about 12,000 years ago Atlantis split off from Antarctica and that part which remained

more temperate was home to this advanced culture.

But scientists know a lot more about plate tectonics now than they did then, and that

theory has been widely debunked.

Or was Plato talking about the Minoan culture, which went from great to ruined in a short

time.

It's thought this advanced culture, situated on what we now call Crete and other Aegean

Islands, was the home of King Minos.

The early Minoan culture goes back as far as 3500 BC and historians tell us this was

a great culture that influenced the upcoming Greek culture.

It's said earthquakes as well as an eruption of the Thera volcano brought an end to this

vibrant place, destroying palaces and leaving the place vulnerable to hostile outsiders.

Perhaps Plato's allegory was just based on this, and like any other writer of poems

or fiction he just took a real event and embellished it for the sake of making a point.

In this case how the mighty can fall, and one should always prepare for the vicissitudes

of nature and the risk of power turning to corruption.

What does Graham Hancock have to say?

Have you heard of this guy?

He is well known for controversially re-telling the history of some ancient cultures, as well

as taking powerful hallucinogens such as ayahuasca.

These, he believes, can take us into different realms that are possibly a gateway into more

truth about the human existence.

He believes that there is something in nature that connects us all, and perhaps even into

the past.

Well respected scientist Dr. Rick Strassman who courageously went on a mission to discover

what these hallucinogens were about also said something uncanny happens on those trips.

Writer Michael Pollan talked about "merging with the universe, or with nature" and the

"mystical experience."

That's not to say these guys believed in Atlantis, but it might say, as Hancock thinks,

that there is more out there than science tells us?

People who tell you they have entered other worlds, or visualized mysterious symbols from

the past in hallucinations or dreams, might not be on your reading list this year.

But according to Hancock, ancient civilizations across the globe were somehow connected.

He believes there was indeed a golden age of these ancient civilizations, but they were

all wiped out due to a catastrophic event some 12,000 years ago.

But he does not tell us there was definitely an Atlantis, only that there were certainly

very advanced ancient cultures that just went missing.

Or perhaps Atlantis was downed in the Black Sea of circa 5600 BC.

Some people even say Atlantis was Ireland, or the Portuguese island of Madeira.

And there are more incredible theories, but none pose any threat to what rational science

tells us in that Plato was likely making this great world up for effect.

We need solid proof, and there isn't any.

If someone entered Atlantis while travelling through time and space on DMT, it likely isn't

going to change the minds of Atlantis skeptics.

Now we'd like to turn this over to you.

Did Atlantis exist?

Where, and what was it like?

Tell us in the comments.

Take Action This 2019! | Straight Talk with Lou Mosca - Duration: 1:12.

Hey.

Lou Mosca, American Management.

It is January 4 - Friday.

I am stoked, excited to be back in the war room this week after the crazy ten-day holiday

stuff.

Economic indicators are pretty scary, folks.

Now, the Fed's thinking about backing off and not raising interest rates so much in

2019.

You got to wonder why.

They see the slow down coming.

Housing has definitely slowed down, at least in Florida, and I'm told in many parts of

the country housing has definitely slowed down.

You've got a factory activity in December that was dramatically down.

Getting good employees is still a problem.

Tariffs are still costing money.

The government shutdown impacting the SBA and a lot of other benefits that might be

out there for folks.

Guys, you have a lot of crap to deal with in 2019.

If you think it's not going to impact your business, you're making a mistake.

What are you doing about it?

What are you doing about it?

Are you taking action, or are you just pointing the finger and blaming people?

Take action.

If I can help, give me a call.

Why I'm Going to Stop Shopping & Buying For Six Months - Duration: 5:02.

[Music]

Welcome to The Dress Up Mom!

[Music]

Hello friends.

I hope that you are all doing really well and that this new year is shaping up nicely

for you.

Today, I am making a declaration here on the channel that I am going to stop shopping for

myself for six months.

In this video I will share more about why I'm doing that.

But first, thank you so much for tuning, I really appreciate it.

If you are one of my regular viewers and subscribers, I absolutely love you, thank you.

If you are new to the channel and like what you're seeing please subscribe.

It's the button, it's here, it means the world to me.

We are also on all the social media outlets: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter @thedressupmom,

#thedressupmom and you can check us out there too.

Okay, so you're probably wondering how is this person who is constantly telling us about

vintage clothes and resale clothes and has a channel, is going to actually stop shopping.

Well, I think it's very doable and I really want to test myself out here and I'll tell

you why I'm doing this.

First of all, I have so many incredible things.

I have been blessing with being able to find and purchase incredible pieces of clothing,

jewelry, accessories, shoes that I absolutely love, so I love everything that's in my

closet right now.

And the thing is, I do not even have enough time and places to wear everything that I

already have.

So, I have this sort of wealth of goods that I want to focus on.

I want to focus on wearing and using and showing you the things that I already have which are

just so beautiful and incredibly nice.

I don't want to keep consuming.

I think that I get wrapped up in that and there's just so much of this consumerism,

that I lose focus on what I already have.

So, I really want to be mindful of that.

I'm also frankly worried that I might be developing a little bit of a problem.

I mean I don't think so, but I don't know.

I want to see how hard it's going to be to not buy anything for myself for the next

six months.

So, what I'm going to stop doing is buying any sort of clothing, jewelry, accessories,

shoes any article of apparel for myself.

Now, my husband Doug, I might pick up something for him if I see it, I don't think I will

really, he's got everything he needs.

And there are only a few things I need in the house.

So, I really plan on buying hardly anything new for us for the next six months, that's

my goal at least.

I also find, I'm not a big mall/department store shopper, so that isn't that appealing

to me.

I don't necessarily--I'm not going to miss shopping in a mall.

But I do find, I'm a big Instagrammer and I follow a lot of my favorite brands on Instagram,

so it's really hard.

It's almost like I'm everyday inundated with these things that I really love and want

to buy.

So, it's a new phenomenon for me where I'm constantly--and you might feel this way too--I

am constantly being bombarded with things to buy.

And, again, I want to make sure that this isn't becoming some sort of a problem for

myself.

Also, with the money I save not shopping for six months, we want to put that toward another

fun family vacation we'll take over the summer.

Now, I do love to shop and not necessarily just for myself, I love shopping with other

people and finding cool things for them.

So, I have this Airbnb shopping experience here in San Diego, so I'll be able to get

a little bit of the thrill of shopping that way, by shopping for other people and helping

them find unique things and feel good about themselves.

It will be a little bit of a challenge because again, every time I go with them, I usually

see something I would like too, but no, no, no, I'm not going to do that.

So, my Airbnb shopping experience will help me get that sort of shopping rush that I like.

But it will be focused on other people, so that's kind of cool.

And, I do plan on sort of talking to you about this along the way.

So, I'll try to chronologize it and at least do some videos that will tell you how I'm

feeling.

Is it easier than I thought?

Is it harder than I thought?

What are the things that really I would have wanted to buy but I could buy?

So, I think that's going to be kind of interesting and I hope you'll find that interesting

too.

And, don't worry, I have so many interesting ideas for the channel over these next six

months.

Like I said, I have these great brands that I want to tell you about, I have so many wonderful

things that I've picked up over the years that I will be featuring and showing, so,

I have plenty of content.

So, stay tuned, I'll tell you how my lack of shopping for six months, or lack of buying

or whatever you want to call it goes.

Thank you so much for watching, I really appreciate it.

Until next time, have fun and dress it up a little.

Kryptonite and Superpowers: The Secret To Building High Performing Innovation Teams - Duration: 1:46.

Hi I'm Janice Francisco and I'm looking forward to meeting you at Innov8rs.

Here's why you want to come to my workshop.

It's called Kryptonite and Superpowers: The Secret of High-performing Innovation

Teams. First it's gonna be fun and interactive. Second I'm gonna introduce

you to your inner innovator and third, I'm gonna tell you what this means to

how you work on teams. Now I'm gonna let you in on a little known secret and

we'll talk more about this at the workshop. It turns out that when we're

faced with a challenge (and let's face it: what innovation project isn't a

challenge), we all engage in a universal creative process. We all have thinking

preferences for moving through this process that either power us up--and

these are what we call our superpowers-- or they stall us out and those act like

Superman's kryptonite. Guess what? Regardless of what innovation

process we're using, these preferences show up. Now here's the good news: when

you and the people that you work with know what you're thinking preferences

are, you can actually overcome this kryptonite and work together much more

effectively. So, let's get together at Innov8rs and let me show you how to

power up your innovation team.

2019 Smart Home Predictions For You - Duration: 18:03.

hello Automaters. Thanks for tuning in again. This video is intended to help you

make better decisions in the coming 2019 year and you know there's lots of prediction

videos out there, but now what I'm trying to do is actually use some of the

insights that I have in into the industry of smart home and home

automation and what I've seen in the past as a predictor to the future. So I'm

trying to help you make the right choices here in 2019. We're gonna have a

little fun in this video of course but let me give you my predictions for 2019

in the smart home and home automation space. Let's get going.

Now a few of these are going to be pretty obvious but let's start with what I

think is the most obvious one Google is going to build out their business

service business and the reason this is so obvious is what they're doing with

Duplex be it the first salvo with Duplex was basically let's create reservations

in businesses and the second salvo has been the ability for businesses to go

into you know a service like Google Maps and through their Google business

account to enable whether or not they will accept calls from duplex now what

this means for 2019 in my opinion is we're going to see some connected

services for businesses so businesses are going to be able to receive those

reservations as well as you as the consumer are going to be able to make

those reservations now it doesn't stop there in 2019 I think again we've seen

the consumer side where they're able to make purchases through certain Google

assistant skills or actions there. You're able to make some purchases with

some very specific vendors what you haven't been able to do is actually have

that other piece of the transaction be handled and and basically give you

updates on package all through duplex so you know biting into Amazon's world in a

bit of a backdoor way here, Google will with their partners. We've seen them

partner with Walmart and Best Buy we'll see them really partner with a

number of these retailers and handle lots of the processing for them of these

orders in the management of those orders through their systems so you're going to

see Duplex build into a business AI machine. So this is a bit of a wild

prediction and I'll admit there's not a lot of basis out on the market right now

the reason I'm saying this is going to occur is simply put, there's nothing out

there and Google has a history of ensuring that everyone has a platform to

build off and that that platform is theirs. So what I'm talking about here is

Google will release in 2019, I think this is going to be kind

of mid 2019, a platform for smart home and home automation and industrial

automation to build off of, and what this means is ZigBee and z-wave protocols are

going to start their decline. And you know what,

ZigBee and z-wave you know we've all relied on them for a few years and what

I'll say is they're falling a little bit behind and the other problem is the 2.4

gigahertz the Wi-Fi in your home cannot necessarily manage all of these devices

or we're going to struggle and we know Google already has their mesh Wi-Fi

platform it would be very simple for them to build that IOT platform either

into those devices as a firmware upgrade or build new devices that have that IOT

platform and really unite everyone under one umbrella, that again is their

umbrella. And then ultimately I think you know Google if they're building out the

business side here and they're building out the IOT which again that means

they're going to release products under this platform relatively soon in 2019

and that's why I think we haven't seen the z-wave hub be enabled in the Google

Home devices. I just don't think they're buying into those technologies as being

the be-all, end-all for their system, for their platform. So a couple

quick things about Google still and then we're going to move on to some of the other

home automation platforms here. Number one Nest is going to follow the Google

model. So I think we're done with the really, really high-end releases from

Nest. We'll see a few more because I'm sure they have some of those products in

the pipeline but ultimately Nest is going to fall in line. Now we saw the CEO

get let go earlier this year and ultimately I think he was standing in

the way of deeper integration with the Google platform and ultimately you know

following the Google model which is put a device in every part of the home so

they don't just want one device in your home that's very

expensive which is kind of the nest model you can't afford ten of those nest

IQ cams but you know ultimately you could afford five or six Google Home

Mini so we'll see nest fall in line now the next thing and this pairs a little

bit with Google duplex this is the processing power that they're giving you

there the routines functionality right now as far as I'm concerned they are so

far behind Amazon and they know it and they're going to fix it and what they're

going to fix it with is duplex now duplex will allow them to create

completely customized routines with multiple triggers and/or multiple

conditions so one thing that we haven't seen here yet and and this kind of goes

to industrial automation and and automation and software in general or

just software in general you know what you can have is you can have a trigger

but then you can test conditions and that's one of the things we've been

missing from a lot of these platforms and these software you know just these

software platforms they haven't been able to use conditions so you know we're

going to see that capability with duplex with the assistant with your Google

Homes and a completely customized capability for routines and we already

have the ability to use any you know any statement inside of a routine from

Google but what we what we still can't do is trigger a routine off of something

happening and that's because I believe behind this all is a much bigger release

for how home automation is going to work so I think you can see that Google is

relatively building to a couple of major major releases again and I'm sure we're

going to see that at Google i/o which this year I hope to be at physically so

you know Google i/o is going to come and I think we're going to see a bunch of

those releases but for now we're gonna move on to some of those other you know

smart home makers builders we're gonna leave Amazon towards the end of the vid

you know here because they have more partnership and intermixing with other

companies that i want to talk about but moving on to Apple and we've seen the

home pod come out and there's been mixed reviews about that device I mean audio

quality is unbelievable its ability to answer is actually a lot better than I

think people give it credit for and so Apple has a platform that a lot

of people I think would really like in the integration with iPhones and iPads

is really strong there's Apple T TV integration that's actually really good

as well so you know they have a lot here to offer but what they've done is in

pure Apple style they went out and tried to charge $400 for their device and

that's we're talking us here so you know here in Canada it's 450 Canadian I think

it's 350 in the US but you know it's a crazy number for people to jump into

home automation and so everybody everybody and their mother has been

saying mini home pod mini home pod mini home pod that's not what I see for 2019

what I see is following suit with a smart display and the reason I say that

is you think about the iPad platform and you know the amount of people who have

an iPad in their home now you can do conversions if they want that's not

Apple style what I see them doing is releasing an iPad style smart display in

2019 in a couple of different styles with a focus on home automation I ought

still all of the capabilities of an iPad and if you think about how powerful that

platform would be it just becomes a stationary iPad but able to control all

of your Apple devices all of your homekit enabled devices and that's what

I see coming so I don't see something that's cheaper I see something that's

more expensive and and that's kind of the way apples been going with their

iPhones anyway so I think that's actually a pretty safe prediction not

necessarily the way people were expecting Apple to go with creating a

mini version of their speaker so moving on to some of these other

home automation makers you know we have Samsung hanging out there with their

Samsung smartthings platform that needs a full refresh they released their v3

and their new application is coming and it has great functionality but what's

the point when Amazon routines are as good as they are and Google's routines

are going to be as good as they are Bixby dies on on launch essentially you

know it's it's been launched Bixby's dead in 2019 I'm sorry Samsung you're

too late you're you're not going to be able to keep up here so you know Bixby

dies but what's funny and this is the this is probably the interesting

prediction for people Cortana lives on and why does Cortana

live because they've partnered with Amazon and this is where we start

talking about Amazon and their partnership so Amazon is not going to

quit number one they are in this in the in for the long haul they're in for a

penny they're in for a thousand pounds you know and what they've done with

Microsoft is they've started this really really deep partnership and we're

already seeing echo products being sold inside the Microsoft stores so what does

that mean what's what's Microsoft's gain from this obviously there's going to be

a little bit of revenue and profit from selling Amazon's products in their

stores but what's the other side of this and so Cortana has to be a piece of this

and the ultimately the office connected services they're that whole platform has

to be used so for me Cortana becomes the business component of the Amazon voice

assistant and it also becomes the horsepower some of the horsepower behind

processing some of these requests and we've seen the latest email integration

and we know Microsoft has this big business component and so Amazon's going

to get more and more people for Microsoft into office 365 into

Microsoft's whole business platform the small business owner they're going to

target people like me so this is hard to explain in

terms of a prediction but ultimately Cortana becomes the business component

of Amazon's business business so this year 2018 we saw Amazon put out I think

you I think the number was 21 different products and that's 21 different echo

products or fire products that came out and we're home automation and we saw

everything from a microwave which people laughed at and you know to a wall clock

that is now on the market to the input to the auto all of those new devices and

you can see that branch out from Amazon trying to own a little piece of

everything in your home in different ways than just a smart speaker so Amazon

is going to continue that that's it's 40 to 50 products we're going to see this

year and so what is a prediction like that what I have to do is give you a few

examples so you know we have the amp we have the sub now and we have the fire TV

cube and the sticks all of those are home entertainment systems and they all

are going to have to play nice by the end of 2019 or people are going to feel

confused now some things work some things don't but one of the things that

Amazon sells for example is a lot of DVDs and a lot of blu-rays and a lot of

digital media of course now they're going to put out a blu-ray player / DVD

player and that's going to be an echo player and it's going to have the

ability to work with all of these devices all of those devices that I just

mentioned and it all has to be working by the end of 2019 they want to own your

entertainment center and they're working very very hard to beat everyone else to

the market on it now moving on to a second space in your home that I think

Amazon is trying to win a lot of your business within that is the kitchen and

the kitchens a lot harder to kind of go and say okay well we're gonna make an

Amazon echo toaster because not necessarily everybody has their toaster

plugged in all the time and you know a blender those kinds of things these are

much harder devices to get people to think well I would like a connected

device so there are a few things that I think are connected all the time that

Amazon is after and everyone laughed at the microwave they thought that silly

why would I want that GE actually produced one earlier this year if you'll

remember a couple of people have are a couple of businesses have identified

that this is really important and the this space is really important rather

now what I think we're going to see and what amazon has already identified in my

mind is that you have to attack those those things that are connected all the

time so the microwave is one of those the oven is another the dishwasher the

refrigerator so Amazon has that Amazon basics line that they're going to

release these under with echo integration so I think we're going to

see Amazon hit big time in the imply ins market and I wouldn't be surprised to

see them partner with someone on this call it the Amazon basic / Frigidaire er

I don't know what you're going to call it but I think we'll see them partner

with someone who's really good at building these appliances the laundry

rooms another place where they'll build a couple of those and release those in

probably late 2019 one other device that I think we're all dying for is a coffee

maker why can't I make a coffee maker in 2019 in an automated way without it

being the old drip kind I don't want that come on guys so I think we're going

to see Amazon build one of those and it's going to be a relatively automated

thing and when you run out I bet it oh I bet it orders you more coffee

a couple more predictions here about these other companies that are out there

they're kind of hanging out there they're touching into the home

automation space but they're not really you know full-on in and one of the

things is the little guy and the little guy is going to explode in 2019 and

quickly died and the reasons are basically what I've told you about

Google releasing their own platform and you know some of these big makers

struggling or changing their direction and you know when you talk about a

company like Amazon producing as many products as I think they're going to in

2019 you're just not going to have a lot of room for these little guys so we're

really going to become a four horse race in 2019 Google Amazon Apple and Xiaomi

speaking of the little guys this is my last prediction I'm not gonna you know

continue here I could continue probably for another half an hour talking to you

about Xiaomi and GE and all of those other makers who are clearly going to

bring a lot of products to the table and you know work in partnership with some

of those other big companies as well that's clearly going to happen but the

last prediction for you here is on automate your life we will have our own

home automation product or something that is a companion to home automation

products and we will have that by the second quarter of 2019 so that's my

prediction here that's for myself and it gives you a little bit of insight into

the ways I'm thinking about the market as well so there you have it everyone I

hope these predictions will help you and if you have questions about specific

things I've said in this or you just want to challenge me go ahead and

challenge me these are predictions or they're obviously not going to be 100%

accurate but if there's something you're seeing and you want to strike up a

conversation please go ahead leave them down below and of course join up on the

channel to see those predictions either come true or for me to crow so thanks

again everyone for watching and we'll see you next time

you
