Waching daily Aug 3 2017

In this video, you will learn how to set up the free version of HESTIA, including the

options available until version 1.1.41.

Keep in mind that in the future more options will be added or others will be removed.

If you want to find the latest development news for Hestia and watch other WordPress

tutorials that make your website great, consider subscribing to this channel.

If you watched the video this far, probably you already installed Hestia.

If not, you can find the link in the resources below, so let's get started.

Here are the recommended plugins I encourage you to install both because ThemeIsle Companion

will give you access to the Frontpage Features, Team and Testimonial Sections and with the

Pirate Form plugin you can enable the good-looking contact form on the front page but I will

show you more about that in the next minutes so be sure to check the timestamps in the

description box to navigate through the video.

Head to Appearance then click on Customize.

Right after the customizer loads, you can see all the elements available for personalization

starting with the Site Identity.

Here, you can Select a Logo for your website from your media library or you can upload

a new one by clicking the Upload Files tab here and the Select Files then.

Choose the logo file, click open, set the caption, alt text and description if needed

then click select.

Crop the image to the desired dimension and click the blue button below to finish.

Set your own title here and a tagline below then upload a site icon following the same

steps mentioned for the logo upload.

After you finish all the settings here, click Save & Publish.

The general settings for your Page Sidebar Layout and Blog Sidebar Layout are here, and

if you navigate to the blog page, for example, you can see live how the changes are affecting

the layout.

Same with the Page Sidebar Layout for which you can choose left, right or no sidebar at

all.

Typography is something you can set now through the customizer after navigating to Appearance

Settings / Typography.

Here, you can choose the Font Subsets, Heading Font Family, Body Font Family and for the

final options, you can set the Body Font Size and Heading Font Size as well.

I encourage you to play around with all the setting until you got the perfect look and

visual experience.

To pair the fonts like a boss you can use FontPair.co, which can save you a lot of time.

The front page sections content is straightforward to change because every section has some demo

content and you just need to change it as needed.

Big Title Section is the first one and here is the place you can upload your own image

for the Big Title Background.

Title, text, button text and button URL are right below this option and after you finish

filling them with your own text click Save & Publish then move to the next section.

Features are specially created to say something about your products or services and why they

are the best for your customers.

Every feature widget can be modified after you open it.

Change the icon here, the color for the icon here and the title above the text here....

You can also insert a link which will make the icon clickable and redirect the visitor

to a specific page or post within your website or to an external link as well.

Before saving the changes I need to mention that you can Add New Features as well by clicking

the button below and then adding your own content from scratch.

The default WordPress text editor available in this section allows you to use your imagination

creating content with all the formatting options within.

If you know HTML you can use the text tab to create perfectly aligned content like in

this demo.

Your team can be featured here in this section but if you are the "one man show" for now,

simply check this box to disable the section.

Rember that you can do this with other sections that you don't want on your front page.

A team member widget is easy to edit with intuitive fields starting with the team member

image all the way down to the social media icons fields where you can insert links to

their social media profiles.

If you have more team members just click on Add New Team Member to create them.

Every satisfied client is a gold mine for your marketing strategy and this section is

dedicated to your client's testimonials.

Editing the testimonial fields starts with the image and I encourage you to request permissions

for doing that.

Complete all the fields below including your client testimonial then Save & Publish all

the changes.

The main content of this section, as you can read here, is customizable in Customize > Widgets

> Subscribe Section.

There you must add the "SendinBlue Newsletter" widget, but first, you'll need to install

the SendinBlue WordPress plugin.

After installing the plugin, you need to navigate to Sendinblue > Home and configure the plugin.

And then you need to navigate to its Settings, and use the following in the Subscription

form: The Subscribe section is active now and you

can see it working like the demo....

This section will display your latest blog posts and here are the fields you can type

in your own words, and then set the number of posts displayed here.

The contact section is in the bottom of the front page, the last section, and here you

can change the contact details.

The contact form is automatically generated after you install and activate the Pirate

Form plugin, which we already did in the first minutes of this video, but I forgot to mention

that you can go to Settings then click on Pirate Forms to change the Options, Fields

Settings and Fields Labels as you wish....

Back in the customizer, the colors section is where you can change the Background Color

and the Accent Color as well.

Here are some of the new options.

The Top Bar, for example, will give you options to add a social menu above the main menu,

for example, or contact details in the left side area of your header above the logo.

To insert content into your Top Bar Sidebar go to Appearance / Widgets and then drag a

text widget to your top bar sidebar section.

To create a custom social menu you will need a plugin called Menu Icons.

One cool feature is the alignment of the navigation elements.

First, the default navigation alignment is this.

Next is to align all the elements to the center of the screen and the last option will activate

a new widget you can use for advertising with banners for example.

You can find the Header Sidebar widget by navigating to Appearance / Widgets and then

you can drag there any available widgets.

You can also access the widgets section through the customizer, here.

Next, if you navigate to a page like a blog page, for example, there is an image in the

header area behind the title.

You can change that image in the third section of your Header Options.

Did you know that you can enable Alternative Footer Style here?

Just check that box and all done.

To make your footer widgets look like the demo, I recommend you watch this video to

see how it's done.

Assuming the Menu Icons plugin is installed and active, go back to your dashboard and

then head to the Menus link under the Appearance section.

I need to mention that you need to create all the pages in the menu before adding them

to the primary navigation menu....

After all the elements are in place, open them to edit the fields and insert icons as

needed.

A home icon for this element, a list element for the blog menu item and an envelope icon

for your contact page and so on.

For the front page sections menu elements, create custom links and anchors as URL like

#features for the first one, #team for second and so on until the last #contact element.

You can find the anchors list for all the front page sections in the documentation file

by accessing this About Hestia link in the dashboard.....All of those menu items will

help your visitors to scroll smoothly through the sections of your home page.

Remember to add icons to every element in your menu before saving the changes.

The final step will be to choose the location for your menu and then click the Save Menu

button.

The shop page will become active right after you install, activate and set things up with

the WooCommerce WordPress plugin and here is another recommended video to see how it's

done.

One great way to grow your website is to join the growing community around Hestia on Facebook.

Here you can get feedback, ask questions or share your thoughts.

This is a private group so click the link in the description box below to request access.

After your access is granted, say hello and give us the link to your website.

Write any question you may have about the

Hestia WordPress theme and somebody will get back to you.

gold stars for depression || mermaidqueenjude - Duration: 4:59.

Hi mermaids, welcome back to my channel

so...

your girl's been depressed...

Like I said before on my channel, I um

suffer from various mental illnesses

and sometimes I go through a really really

really long episode sometimes.

So yeah, your girl has just been dealing with a really rough episode of depression

and doesn't really feel like filming this week.

So, she has her security blanket,

and she's gonna film for you, and what we're filming today is

basically, honest gold stars that you get when you're depressed.

[ocean sounds]

The reason why I really wanna make this video is because,

on the internet there is a tendency,

to label self care or giving gold stars,

for one, people might not actually have the spoons to do,

and two, things that are very superficial.

Yeah there's this thing on the internet where it's like,

self care is like watching a bunch of movies and

like doing all that and some people just don't have the energy for that.

So I'm here to tell you the honest gold stars that you get,

when you're depressed.

Gold star number one [ding] got out of bed before 3PM.

Um, when you're depressed, you're tired and exhausted.

All the time. Because the voices just don't stop.

So getting out of bed before 3PM is really important.

Showering. Showering is so important!

And like, not only because like, you smell good,

after showering, but it actually helps you feel better.

It detoxifies the skin so physically,

your body is like "oh, this feels nice"

and it sends like neurons to your brain.

The next gold star is, doing a chore around the house.

So today, I'm going to do laundry,

or at least that's my plan.

The next gold star is feeding yourself,

when you're depressed you forget to eat.

Some people overeat, some people forget to eat, etc.

Eating is so important, it's good for your body.

You will feel way more fatigued if you're not eating.

Next gold star: didn't cry while making food.

What this means is that there's always something that happens

to me in the kitchen while I'm depressed.

I'll drop something, I'll make food all the way through

and then drop it.

That's happened to me before, I was really upset about it.

But yeah, doing that and not crying.

Drinking water.

Water is so important especially if you're crying when you're depressed,

please drink water.

Did something that entertained my brain.

So whether that's playing video games,

watching youtube videos,

welcome to my channel.

Doing something, drawing if that's something that you like,

doing something kinesthetic is actually really helpful,

so for me, I like, write on pieces of paper.

Or I try to draw, it's all dependent, I'm really shiny I'm sorry, it's hot in my room.

Talking to another human verbally, there's something that happens when,

words flow through our mouths and we can hear them.

That does something to our brains, so talking to another human being,

is really helpful, but if you don't have the spoons

to talk to another human being, 'cause I completely understand that,

texting another human being is also really nice.

Just any form of communication with any of your friends would be really helpful.

Doing a skin care thing,

so washing your face or

putting a face mask on, like those are very superficial,

and you don't have to do them, but washing your face

goes in line with showering, so if you shower, just wash your face.

It'll help you feel less gross.

Doing a makeup thing, for me yesterday on my Self Care Sunday,

I went and I got my nails done,

because that's something that I wanted.

And I redyed my hair this like, dark shade of indigo,

which falls into the next thing, doing a hair thing.

Listening to some music, that always helps me,

Spotify does this great thing called discover weekly,

where you get your own playlist.

I'm not sponsored, but Spotify sponsor me, that'd be lit.

Actually leaving the house,

I left the house yesterday for about,

an hour and a half on my self-care Sunday, it was really nice.

It didn't fix the problem, I'm still very depressed,

today when I woke up, but it helped a little bit

and that's really what matters.

And the last gold star you get is for paying attention to your spoon levels.

Do not over exert your spoons, don't do it,

it won't be helpful for you, recognize what your limits are.

Also I sound really nasally and really sick because

I am really sick, um,

my body does this thing when I go on trips for long periods of time where

it just kind of shuts down it's kind of awful, so.

Giving my speeches at work have been a blast.

If you are seriously depressed lately,

or don't have anyone to talk to,

um, please, there are a bunch of hotlines you can call.

Don't let your depression consume you, and I know that that's very hard,

but like with all of the news lately with all of the people

that we are losing to suicide,

it's very very important that we touch on these things and talk about them.

Which is why I talk about mental illnesses

so openly on my platforms because I want you guys to know that you're not alone,

and it's very important to know that you're not alone.

Because depression makes you feel like you're alone.

My voices the other day literally told me,

"Hey all your friends hate you" and for a good 48 hours

I thought all of my friends hated me.

And it just goes to show you the power of the brain

and the power of what happens when mental illnesses are really loud.

And reckless, so. The voices are probably wrong.

So just know that, going in.

Alright mermaids, I hope you enjoyed that video.

If you're new here, my name is Jude and I make new videos every Thursday and Saturday

with the occassional Monday video.

If you want to join the mermaid kingdom, all of my links are down in the description.

I love you very much, just keep swimming, sigue nadando, and I will see you on Saturday

[blows kiss] bye!

How To Deal With People of Higher Status Than You And Create Greater Influence - Duration: 18:56.

how to deal with people who have greater wealth and greater status than you do

stay tuned this is Damon Cart from NLP gym and we're continuing this

conversation this is the second video of my conversation with Dr. Matt just

tuning in for the first time let's go ahead and just give a quick rundown

quick introduction dr. Matt and I have been attending a training in San Diego

California and this is the first time we met and we've just been having the most

mind-blowing conversations he does have a background in NLP but he has a

background and so many other things which he calls interdisciplinary

psychology and you also have a little bit of Education behind you

have just a little bit just one small piece the title in economics with

specialization in management personal branding which I'm sure we will cover

the next time at with master's degrees in law and psychology I studied in

Poland and Germany and other places I've written 13 books so far on personal

development and business consulting because I believe one and the other are

somehow interconnected and you cannot have success and happiness in life

without work-life balance right so that's why I am creating tools using

interdisciplinary psychology by learning from different fields in different

places in the world combining them into a very practical proven to work models

which help us be successful in different situations now when he told me that he

was very well-known and forward there's a bit of an understatement I had looked

them up and yeah you're a celebrity and Poland and that doesn't just happen

overnight no it does not yes unless you do something very very few finished even

then you have to be someone famous to become more famous yeah exactly so and

when you start talking about expense that grant and and how to deal with

people who are of higher status I would have to imagine you have a lot of

experience in that area as you climbed your way up and the N is well-known as

you are I mean you probably you know started off small and we're in

constant contact with people of much higher status in Europe right then

you're talking basically about two very interesting models is it organic growth

or its revolutionary code right revolutionary growth is that you become

famous overnight because of something that you do say you pose some really

good video which I hope that your videos will become right on YouTube and it

becomes a viral video then after a certain amount of clicks people click

they click it not for content anymore but because others clicked it right so

it's been waiting effect right people simply do it because others did it and

it becomes sort somehow socially stimulates it event this is what happens

revolutionary but revolutionary is like this and it doesn't mean that the

success can be repeated so it's not good for long-term business organic growth is

slower but you build it step by step and this is how you

for example construct thing which is one of the executions or realizations of

states right because well you say and where I come from or where where I live

in California I live about 35 miles south of Silicon Valley and there is the

highest concentration of wealth in that area which also means it's a high

concentration of power we're talking Steve Jobs and I lived there when he was

still alive the top people in the world as far as technology goes lives right

around the area that I live in and that you can see the power dynamics and

status at play especially when I lived in Los Angeles you know the encounter

this whole time and yet always that power play see you're talking about I

make American or standardized globally attitude to success right power is money

right money is power and so on this game is not necessarily so widespread and

global as it seems to be because status means position inside the hierarchy

right in the tribe there is a group of people right if it's the tribe of humans

it's seven billion people if it's tribe of Americans it's 300 billion and so on

and so on if it's Silicon Valley what is power

Silicon Valley not necessarily will be power in Idaho for example right so it

all depends in which kind of environment you are so that you calibrate what kind

of weapons are used to climb this social leather right it's very important also

to understand that we're talking about a game right this is again it's like a

computer game but it's social game it happens between humans spiritually we're

even right you wrestle I'm a soul and we're made of the same material we're

biologically really very very similar the point is that the risk I even though

people don't want to admit it which exists in the external world right

it exists in different constitute existing the army because there's titles

right general is of higher status than the drone are of course right Church

right the same think Pope being on top of the list less cool right you have

someone who's who has master's degrees or PhD right and so on and so on so to

say this it's inescapable everybody encounters hierarchy of course and

everybody encounters people of higher status from them and of lower status to

know there you go n for my own personal

experience and for people who I coach this is a common occurrence where you're

encountering someone who is on higher status and it affects your self-esteem

of course or it affects your ability to communicate this is interesting they're

saying this I remember it was working because a consultant with bankers who

are dealing with very rich individuals right and then they would come to me and

say dr. Mott were not feeling very well because our self-esteem goes down right

when we talk to them and they go why does this happen and they say because

they are better than we are right and they go oh this is such a typical

mistake based on generalizations they are better

in what and this is when they started thinking right they say okay very better

in something it means I've got status I am better in something else right

this creates partnership because if someone has more money it doesn't

necessarily mean that they have some other things which are necessary for

them to function right for example what can be what can give staples we spoke

about money perfect but beauty is also status right

on which culture you go to it's understood in a completely different way

right Columbian beauty is different than Brazilian beauty is different than

Silicon Valley beauty is different than European beauty so you need to calibrate

and understand what kind of representation of this status game they

had here education and the title that you have the title doesn't have to be

only the title get from university it can be marketing title for example he is

the best trainer I've ever met she's the most interesting person I've ever known

he's the most fantastic youtuber you will ever see and so on and so on this

is not something you get from school it's a marketing title but even within a

small group if people call you he is the best friend of mine she's very

trustworthy it is a title it gives them state describe so in every

tribe you will have certain coyote right and people will climb the ladder your

task is to firstly separate yourself from this game by saying this is the

same person as I when it comes to our Anatomy biology and spirituality and now

let's play the game what's important here how do people get status right once

you understand this you can help them function in they rule not role which

they have because they are actors right versus scene and the story goes like

this if we go to say to LA and you find me if I'm wrong correct me because

you're a local right if I go to LA and they get myself a very poor sports car

then I'm I'm of higher status right chance the right exactly perfect right

so it even happens when I already described even if I don't power it's

better you go right so as you can see it is a game right what is this disappears

now I go like this okay so this is how people play this game they think that if

they has a car they mean something right now I can do two things firstly I can

paste it which means okay I'm going to work hard I'm going to get myself this

car as well or even better so that they are here and I go here on this letter

right I just climb higher so I get status or another thing okay they use

this weapon which is a card I can use something else that they don't have

right I'll give you an example you have two men on the streets of a lake one is

a self-confident and has a car another is self-confident and doesn't have a car

right and here comes the question whom will people consider to be more

self-confident the one with the quarter without well I would say the person

without the car of course this is the point diamond because people see that he

got his self-esteem without external measures as you can see the guy who is

not wealthy right because we can always explained I don't have money so I'm not

at high status right not necessarily you can be even for free if you understand

the rules of the game right because someone becomes self-confident by the

means of the car another one becomes self-confident by the way they do sports

and they become very feeble muscular another one has such a high self-esteem

because they practice psychology or NLP or anything else that they behave in

such a way that they beam this self-confidence outside and

self-confidence is also a way to execute status right so always when I meet a

person of say higher or lesser status I will ask myself a question higher or

lesser when it comes to what so maybe I would be suggesting these bankers these

people have more money than you do but you have something that they don't

you have knowledge how to manage their accounts you have knowledge how the

market functions they don't understand it as well as you do so there's certain

aspects in which they are for higher status like money but when it comes to

knowledge Europe the higher status so you never compete with others in the

area or in the context in which you are a lesser status you go to a different

context in which you're of the higher status and now you can fight if you're a

boxer right and you know boxing very well there's no sense to come closer to

you because you will punch me but if I know kickboxing right for wrestling I

can either kick you from the business or if I'm a wrestler I can

bring you down right knock you down and do some Brazilian jiu-jitsu right and

choke you not permitting you to use your ability and this is simply again and if

you understand this dynamic you help the other person who is of a certain higher

status to executed a role as if it was a theater because someone who say is a

professor right what does a professor want

professor wants to have authority and show that they are knowledgeable if

you're a student and you understand this you will understand it is good to agree

with the professor not necessarily in a manipulative way but your style of

communication would be the following professor this is very interesting what

you said I also noticed something else what do you think about this so that you

are helping them execute their position if you become a rebel and you say I know

better than you do this is where the conflict starts right

so apart from calibrating the status and understanding what kind of weapon they

are fighting with which allows me to use different weapons inside this computer

game that is a social game I can also help the others

to execute their role inside this game if I understand that the professor needs

to have authority I will never take this Authority away because if I do then I'm

in conflict with this person and I will never be able to succeed the rule is the

following learn the rules of the game use these rules to get to the top and

change the rules I have to tell you after I found out how popular you are

movement I kind of sat back and thought I kind of had these that the status

questions you know like I am certainly not that popular anywhere okay and so I

wondered how you viewed me and I wonder how you view other people after you know

when you're in Poland you're you're used to being treated so differently and

you're used to having this very high status and everything that you're just

telling me right now is giving me so many insights into

watching you operate with people including me is that I think I never got

a sense from you that you looked at anyone myself included as being another

lower status or higher status it was really save it and if anything you are

you I find you very uplifting all the time and watching you with other people

yeah that you never once even implied a presupposition of like putting anyone

down I just see you uplifting people and like seeing and we talked about this

earlier today or about seeing people's potential and that makes them want to

rise to that pathetic question I understand it's a game I understand it's

a social game that I'm playing I'm playing it well thank you very much at

the same time I'm playing the game but I'm a lot at bone inside this game I'm

rather an architect of this game so if I understand that status is necessary to

have advantage in the system because it gives you power

then I will observe what gives this state is inside this game inside the

certain culture I could PhD I've got two master degrees I've written trading

books I am fit because I wrestle a lot and so on I've got family and so on and

so on so I observe the situation and go what else do I need to do in order to

get more status having lectures in certain languages this gives me status

can you planet is of course give yourself a very intensive week without

during first languages or spend a year or two if you are more on the latest I

learn a language and you will automatically be over higher status it's

not that you are born with it because it's not aristocracy anymore you learn

it you acquire it and you deal with it so I detach myself from it in a sense

that it's like relationship between Peter Parker and spider-man right if I'm

Peter Parker then spider-man is my personal brand of status I put the

clothes of spider-man when I go outside the man inside the guy but when I come

back home I take it out and I have a burger with you right so it also helped

us to connect and it's very very important

that you never played this game with me treating me as someone of a higher or

lesser status because you didn't know who I am and this is fantastic because

it happens constantly when I'm Princeton's in the street and someone

comes up to take a piss or something and it happens a lot then people don't treat

me as a human being they treat me as an image that has been produced right they

don't realize that I'm the creator of this image but I'm not the image right

you cannot judge a person on the basis of the position they have inside the

tribe because it's very simple to change the context and they will not have this

power example how many war hero veterans come back for more and even though in

the army they could verify status on the market they don't exist in such a way no

to such a problem of course how many people who are in prisons they are of a

very high status inside the tribe they come out and they don't mean a thing

socially so true so see this is the point say you have a

CEO of a very big Silicon Valley company people go treat him like God right they

don't realize that when he comes back home his wife says take your shoes off

John take your shoes off Johnny I'm telling Kiev chooses the motherly finger

he'll take your shoes off anxious oh I'm sorry and this is it so what happens

with the status he got out of the game the point is that his wife is connected

to Johnny we are connected to CEO so if I change the role with which I'm

communicating he can be done for me too and then he has no status so we change

the rules of the game so a few things there are first of all I want to stay

with your understandings you could be a very very dangerous man and I'm very

very happy you're on the light side at the dark side thank you very much I'm

doing my best but don't you tease me and I now I understand having conversations

with dr. Matt he often will bring up his family his wife and his daughter and I

can understand now with the way you were just giving you were talking about those

analogies there that your family is probably very grounding for you whenever

you're living in this celebrity world and : it's protecting to me from my

darker side of myself that's what I would say all have yes sir I can't you

know I don't hate when people say want to have a dark side well this day when

he's apart from two of us everyone has but we don't right we're special there

you go there you go actually well that is yet another

mind-blowing subject discussing with dr. Matt and again we could talk about this

all day and we have been talking about all week and so we're going to move on

to another topic on the next video so stay tuned for the next video coming out

Papa Can You Hear Me performed by Mrs. Smith - Duration: 3:00.

The question about Daddy's death

is not, "What was he doing

jumping into that grain silo?"

because Daddy loved jumping into grain silos

the question is...

Who filled that grain silo

with broken glass?

WHY did they fill that grain silo with broken glass?

and WHERE did they get all that broken glass?

it was a lot

(sings) Papa...

Can you hear me?

Papa... Can you see me?

Papa...

Can you find me in the night?

Papa....

Are you near me?

Papa... Can you hear me?

Papa...

Can you help me not be frightened...?

Looking at the skies, I seem to see a million eyes

which ones are yours...?

Where are you now that yesterday has waved goodbye and closed its door?

The night is so much darker...

The wind is so much colder

The world is so much bigger now...

That I'm alone...

(Tortured guitar solo)

Papa can you hear me?

Papa are you [indistinct singing]

Papa you left me

All alone

Papa, I need you

How to sidechain with Izotope Neutron and Fl Studio (Part 2) - Duration: 5:59.

In this second part I want to show you, how to sidechain special frequencies with Neutron in its EQ-section.

Its only one possibility to solve frequency collisions, but with Neutron it is really easy and effective.

You have to choose Neutron as VST3-Plugin. Otherwise it appears an other dialog window

Choose your send channel and connect it with "Sidechain to this track" to the 2nd Channel.

The Masking Histogram shows the collision

If you don't want to go without these low frequencies, you should decide, which sound you prefer and repair the collision.

I decrease the critical frequence section and select "Dynamic Mode" "Compress" an "Ext. Full.

That's it! In my next video I will create a Padsound. I hope you are interested and will visit my channel. Thanks!

Jeep Wrangler Cobra CB Radio (1987-2017 YJ, TJ, JK) Review & Install - Duration: 4:26.

This Cobra CB Radio is for those of you that have a 1987 and up Wrangler, and are looking

for a radio that you can install in your Jeep very easily, not have a big, bulky CB radio

sitting on the dash or in the center console.

Something that you can hide away and that still has a ton of functionality.

So getting this installed is going to be an easy two out of three wrenches.

I give it an easy two out of three because there is some wiring involved, but overall

this is a fairly simple process.

Now, this radio is going to be more expensive than some of the other ones on the market,

but you are going to get a lot of additional features with this radio as far as functionality

goes.

And probably the biggest feature of this radio is that the whole brains of the operation

is just this little small box here that you can mount anywhere you like, hide it out of

the way.

And then when you want to be able to use your radio, all you need to do is attach the hand

piece that has all of your controls on it, and also your speaker built right into it.

When you don't wanna use it, you can unscrew it, hide that away and no one would ever know

that you have a radio, which is really nice for theft protection.

So the biggest feature of this radio is what I've mentioned already, that the brains of

everything are just this small box here that you can mount out of the way, where you're

never gonna see it.

And then just have the handpiece when you need it, when you want to have your radio.

Now, that is a very nice feature and that's the reason that a lot of people purchase this

radio.

But you are getting a ton of features with this radio as well.

This radio is gonna be able to monitor two channels at once.

You're going to, of course, get your 40 CB channels, but you're also going to get 10

different weather channels.

This is going to have an easy one-touch button that will get you back to your emergency channel,

your channel nine.

This is also going to have some great noise cancelling technology built right into it,

so other than just your squelch, which of course you're still going to have to adjust,

you can turn that on and it will eliminate as much of the additional feedback noise through

the speakers as possible, which again is just a really nice feature.

This does have a lot of the features that a lot of you are looking for in a CB radio.

Plus it has that compact mounting location and mounting specification, which is a very

nice feature to have.

So getting this installed is going to be an easy two out of three wrenches.

I give it an easy two out of three, because there is some wiring involved, but overall

this is a fairly simple process.

If you're not comfortable with automotive wiring, you could probably figure this out

because there are only two wires to the installation.

However, if you'd rather take your Jeep to have it installed at a shop, you can certainly

do that as well.

Now the first step in this installation is going to be mounting the brainbox of this

radio, and you can really mount that behind the dashboard, behind your glovebox, and your

center console.

Anywhere you want to, to hide it up and out of the way.

From there you're gonna have to power that, and you do have a positive and a negative

lead, and you're gonna want to power that directly from the battery if at all possible,

because you want the cleanest power possible to that unit.

That's going to eliminate any additional back-feeding, or any additional static that you might otherwise

get if you pick up power through a switch or a resistor or anything like that.

So, nice clean power directly from the battery if you can get it.

Now, you do wanna be able to have access to this small wire that comes off of that brain,

that's where you're going to hook up the rest of the radio.

So make sure that it's not in a completely inaccessible location, but you can hide that

up out of the way if you choose to.

The next step is of course running your wire out to your antenna and hooking that up.

And as with any radio, you are going to have to use a SWR meter in order to tune this so

that you can use it safely and effectively.

This radio will run you right around $135, but I do think that's still a very fair price

for the features that you're getting and the ability to remote mount this system so you

don't have to figure out where you're gonna put a much larger CB radio.

If you are looking to spend less money, but be able to communicate over CB, there are

some less expensive radios out there, they're just gonna have far fewer features.

So if you're looking for a radio that has a ton of bells and whistles and the ability

to remote-mount it up out of the way, I definitely recommend taking a look at this Cobra CB Radio

that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

SPRITE CHICKEN - Duration: 12:08.

- Hello, everyone, it's Barry here.

Welcome to My Virgin Kitchen.

I hope you are well.

Today, essentially we are

shoving a can of Sprite, other brands are available,

but this works well, lemon and lime.

We're shovin' a can of Sprite up a chicken's bum.

Trust me, it works really, really well.

I actually did a video with a beer can years ago.

It's on the channel somewhere,

so if you wanna find that, you can,

but it basically steams the chicken,

the inside, the fluid, because you wedge the chicken on.

It steams, it makes it all tender,

and you ram it full of flavour.

You're gonna absolutely love it.

I hope you will, unless you're vegetarian,

and that might be awkward.

You can't really do this to a carrot.

And when it comes to the can, intentional chicken pun,

you can fill it, whee, with anything you like.

So, without further ado, if you're not on the website

the full method and ingredients are right down here.

(tongue clicking)

Let's get goin'.

Okay, there is not much more to say here.

I wanna keep it quite brief

because it's not the most interesting thing to look at.

This is a chicken, as you know.

You got the head end, which is now just the neck.

And then the butt, which is where our can

is gonna go up there.

So, let's get rid of all the strings and stuff.

A lot of people say to me, "Barry, what is your

"favourite gadget?"

And actually, out of all of them,

I just really like food scissors, I find them really good.

So, we're just gettin' the string out

that holds and tucks all these.

See this? Yes.

Yes, we can now, oh, I'm gonna have to

spin you 'round to show this.

I've basically pulled the legs out of there,

and you get a good opening to get our can in.

Gonna tuck the wings in there.

I don't really wanna touch them at the moment.

But that's what we're lookin' at really.

We got the neck there, which we'll also use.

I'm just gonna go wash my hands,

and I'm gonna make a little bit of a rubby thing for it.

All right, so, just for reference, that chicken,

I have given it a wash and patted it dry

with some kitchen towel, all right?

So, this is three garlic cloves,

which I'm just gonna mince up.

One of my absolute favourite gadgets, this one.

This is a bowl of melted butter,

so we're just gonna push the garlic in there.

Teaspoon of paprika, you guys know how much I like that.

Two teaspoons of brown sugar, some pug seasoning,

so that's, I think, salt in that one.

Pepper's in that one, no, other way around.

This is half a lemon, gettin' the juice out of it.

And then half a lime.

Givin' that inner-Sprite vibe, you know?

Just pour that in, woo!

And mix it all around, mixy, mixy, mix.

Make sure the sugar all dissolves,

that's probably the most important thing, and the paprika.

Try and get a nice sort of smooth feel going on.

Oh, yeah.

Alrighty, that's looking cool.

To prevent the can of drink bubblin' over,

you only need it half full,

so you can kinda drink the rest if you want.

I'm really rubbish at drinking fizzy drinks in general.

Whenever I go out with my mates and have a beer,

they're like down it, down it.

Trust me, everything in my body wants me to down it.

♫ My mind's tellin' me

Other way around.

But I can't, there's somethin' about fizzy drinks.

I have to drink them slowly.

It makes my nose itch or somethin'.

Gimme a shot of Jagerbomb any day.

But, about half full's fine.

So, just for the moment, I've transferred our chicken,

♫ Der-der-der the dancing chicken

Don't know what that was, sorry,

to a lipped baking tray, okay?

Because some of the juices could run

out as we really paint it.

You're gonna need a painting brush?

You could, just never use it ever again on your walls.

That would be really weird.

Pastry brush.

So, all we'll do is start to just

brush this mixture onto the chicken.

♫ Wah-Wah-Wah-Wah-wah

We kinda wanna stain it, all right?

It's gonna take quite a while.

You wanna try and cover every little nook.

And I know it's not the prettiest thing

to look at right now,

but this is really gonna help it.

So, remember we got the garlic on there as well.

As we're paintin' it, the little chunks of garlic

are just startin' to sit on the chicken.

This is good, this is good.

And where the Sprite can's goin',

paint inside there a little bit as well.

And because the chicken's so cold,

it's actually making the butter

almost go back to a buttery stage already.

So, you can see it's thickening up as I'm brushin' it.

That is a good thing, folks.

So, here's the neck part here,

and what we do is if you get your fingers,

you can actually start to lift the skin

off of the chicken breast bit here, okay?

I'm actually using my other finger to push.

See my finger?

Wah-wah-wah.

It's actually under the chicken breast,

and what we can do if we just get a relatively

good opening on either side.

God, this is like an operation today.

Just imagine that you turn up Christmas day to,

hey, we're playin' Operation,

but it's just a chicken.

And by doing that, we're just gettin', see?

I'm gettin' my brush down the chicken,

actually into the breast,

pushin' that flavour in under the skin,

and that's where we want it.

So, keep goin' as much as you want with that.

So, now we put the chicken onto the Sprite can.

Ah, there we go (laughs).

It's a little bit weird at first,

but we need to make sure, oh, yes,

that's cool, it is actually stood up.

And now, it's the perfect opportunity

to give it bit more of a coatin'.

So, we'll just really paint it up some more.

And we can see how the steam from the Sprite

is just gonna get right through that chicken.

And we're not gonna forget the neck as well

because the neck does have, obviously, a hole

for it to escape, so we can put some extra flavour in there.

So, that's the neck in there,

and all I'm gonna do, I've got half a lemon there,

I'm just gonna shove that in

and just tuck it in like that, all right?

So, if the steam does hit the lemon,

it's gonna put more flavour back in,

and, hopefully, it can't escape.

We'll keep this bowl to one side

and just get one more little brush on the top there.

And what we can do, if we wish,

while it's going in the oven, we can top this up.

But that is ready for roastin'.

(laughs) Amy just came in with this look a minute ago

and just looked really confused going what the heck is that?

It's not something you see every day, folks,

and I'm sorry if it's freaked a few of you out,

but it's chicken, right?

So, I'm very carefully transferring this down.

That is goin' in there for at least an hour and a half.

We'll see how the colour develops,

but we might add some more of this

on halfway through the cooking,

but other than that, that's about it.

A Patreon shout out goes to Christine Hathaway.

Thank you so much to all the patreons so far.

If you are a patreon, you would have seen an exclusive

of Boston on a T-shirt that you'll be seein'

in future videos, it's gone down pretty well.

And, of course, not forgettin'

the other social media platforms.

We'll go for Twitter, Chloe Thompson, hello, Chloe.

She wants me to try and make Heston Blumenthal's

spaghetti bolognese, so maybe we'll give that a go soon.

I don't know if he does anything wacky with it.

I don't know, like put marigolds in it or somethin'.

It's been half an hour.

The smell in here is phenomenal.

I was literally just sat on the sofa over there

just sort of going, hmm (sniffs).

Kinda like what Boston is doing right now, huh?

I see ya, boy, I see ya.

But anyhow, what I'm gonna do is just keep bastin' it

on there maybe every half an hour

to just get that golden colour,

and I'll let you know the exact cooking time for me.

Mine was a large chicken.

And all I'm doin' is just pulling the tray out,

so I'm not makin' it too dangerous for myself.

I'm just givin' me a nice little

work surface to go on,

just ensurin' that I get it nice

and coated in this (groans).

Put it back in, carefully spin the tray around,

Gonna do its backside as well.

It smells amazing.

We interrupt this recipe for a dad's joke.

Are you ready?

What do you call a chicken with lettuce over its eyes?

Chicken Caesar salad, get it?

Chicken sees a salad.

It's terrible, someone just sent me that.

I just wanna show you folks,

this has been about an hour and 10 minutes.

You gotta let it burp a little bit

'cause obviously there is steam comin' out,

but the colour on this chicken is phenomenal.

Can you see that right there?

Really good colour, obviously the top's gonna get a bit

more browned because it's the highest point,

but what you can do is, some of the juices in there,

just baste it as you go like that.

I'm gonna probably give this another 20 minutes,

and then we're ready to rock.

But do keep spinning it 'round

so the front and the back get even side cookin', okay?

This is good stuff right here.

Baste it, baste it, baby.

We're just about to get it out of the oven.

It looks amazin'.

Just to let you know, I never colour correct

any of my footage.

I don't really know how to do it.

I've never really learned, so I could probably

pimp it up and make it look even better than this,

but just trust me, when you make it, it will look stonkin'.

Here we go, I think Homer's excited.

Oh (gasps)

♫ Do-do-do-do-do-do-do.

There it is, folks, check that out.

Oh, my gosh, there I can spin it 'round.

Look, it's just sat upright, I love it.

So, it is really good, with most meats,

after you cook it, to let it rest.

I've never quite understood that,

but it lets the meat relax and be tendered.

Tendered?

No, that's like money, isn't it?

Like nice and tender, trust me, it's worth it.

But we can just get some of these juices that are in the pan

and just spread it and coat it all up and down like so.

(groans) Is it all right to enjoy this?

I'm really enjoying this.

We're gonna wrap it in tin foil.

You can do it quite loosely.

Yeah, you can just do it quite loosely.

It's not like it's a Christmas present or somethin',

and to be fair, I do wrap my Christmas presents

like that anyway.

We're just gonna let it rest for maybe 15, 20 minutes,

and then, obviously, we don't forget

that there's a can of Sprite in there.

And the lemon in the top, we'll just pull that out

and serve it up.

I'm probably gonna have a chicken mango sandwich.

Please bear in mind I'm only doin' this step

just to get a thumbnail picture.

(laughs) Look at that.

All right, I'm gonna literally freeze frame that (laughs),

and that might be the thumbnail.

So you can just see a bit of Sprite can, all right?

Oh, wow, the steam comin' out of that then.

(groans) (laughs) There we go.

Gonna have to let it lie down I think.

Oh, no, it's sat down, amazing.

Don't drink that.

So, I'm having mine in my favourite sandwich,

which is a chicken mango sandwich.

So, butter, good squirt of mayo.

Bear it in mind, we're gonna have loads of leftovers.

They go really nice with a salad.

Wah-wah-wah-wah-wah.

Wah-wah-wah-wah-wah.

And then mango chutney gives it a little bit of spice.

You can make your own, I should do a recipe on that.

Actually, I do like making my own homemade one.

We're using the jar today, and that's fine.

Don't always need to reinvent the wheel,

but if you like things your own way,

that's the fun of cooking, right?

Just get that all smeared on there.

Now, we dump our chicken on that.

I'm just tryin' to pull it out a little bit

so it blows down a teeny bit.

Oh, my God.

That chicken, just look at that piece.

That is so tender (gasps) bonk.

Oh, man, (groans).

That's like velvet, that's goin' right on there.

One more little piece maybe.

A few little pieces there (gasps),

shove me lid on (groans).

Oh, my God (sighs) (groans).

I apologise, I realise I'm making a lot of noises.

Here we go, and just before I eat it,

some of you guys are worried a little bit

about havin' the studio, if it will change my style.

Trust me, it will not.

I'm interviewing people to be a production team with me,

and it's mandatory that we keep it real like this.

We'll have our own little personal camera, all right?

Here we go (groans).

Oh, my God, my taste buds have just

suddenly turned into fireworks.

They're going bang!

That is phenomenal, the chicken is so tender,

so delicate, so moist and juicy.

Absolutely breathtakin', Homer would be proud of that.

So, there we go then, folks, another recipe in the bag.

There are hundreds more on MyVirginKitchen.com.
