Waching daily Mar 26 2018

- Hey Angie Nelson here from theworkathomewife.com.

Do you love to read?

In today's video, we are gonna be talking about

some great ways you can turn your passion

for books into a paycheck that you're earning

from the comfort of your own home.

Make sure you stay til the end of the movie to

find out how you can get my free seven day

series on finding work from home.

Now today's video is for all of you

bookworms out there.

We're gonna be talking about how to turn

your passion for books into some great income

streams from home.

Now we have a lot of different options available here.

Thanks to the Internet, a lot of the tasks

that need to be done in self publishing,

or even traditional publishing, can be done remotely.

We're also gonna be talking about some of the

more fun ways to make money from

your passion for books.

Though occasionally those don't always pay the best.

But we're gonna give you a good feel for some

options that are available so maybe you

can find your perfect fit.

Now the first one we're talking about is

proofreading and editing.

Every book that's being published today probably

needs someone to give it a second set of eyes

just to make sure there's no mistakes there

when it comes to grammar or spelling,

or even making sure that facts are double-checked

to make sure that those are correct.

And because of that, there is a big need for editors.

Online editors and proofreaders both.

You can go through, there are some publishing

agencies that hire editors on a frequent basis.

You can keep an eye on a site called bookjobs.com

that is a great place to catch up on some

of those remote job listings in

the publishing industry.

You can also go out on your own

and find your own clients.

This is especially the case when it comes

to self publishing.

We have a lot of authors and bloggers and

other people today that are doing their

publishing themselves, and they are looking

to hire their own assistance there when it

comes to thinks like editing.

So with those you're going to want to

start connecting with authors and things

like Facebook groups or online communities.

You can keep an eye on sights like Indeed

or Craigslist or Flexjobs or some of those listings.

You could also take things into your own hands

and start pitching the clients that you

want to work with.

Caitlyn Pyle has a great general proofreading

course out there that will help you kind of

learn the ropes as to what is involved

in this industry.

And also how to start taking your skills

and start turning that into an online

business of your own, working with the people

that you want to work with,

and in the fields that you want to work in.

Such as the self publishing and editing fields.

Now when we're talking about self publishing,

there's also gonna be a demand there

for marketing and PR.

One of my first jobs as a virtual assistant

was actually setting up speaking engagements

for a self published author.

She was going around to local women's groups

and local Chambers of Commerce

doing speaking events to those.

And one of the things that I helped her

with was setting up those engagements.

There's a lot of a need there.

A lot of authors don't want to be in charge

of their own PR and outreach and marketing.

So that's something that if you have a

background there, have some marketing knowledge,

that you can certainly position yourself

in that place to help out the self publishers.

And help them get the outreach and the publicity

that they're seeking when they're publishing

their books for the first time.

Now when we're talking about some of the

traditional roles for getting paid for your

passion for books, there's a couple of job

boards that are specifically for this industry.

Kirkus is one, Contena is a job board

specifically for writers and editors.

You will also want to keep an eye on Publisher's Weekly.

Now if you're looking for something a little more

on the fun side, there are plenty of opportunities

to get paid to review books out there.

In some cases you're gonna be paid cash,

in some cases they're just gonna give you

a free book to read.

We're gonna focus on those that pay you cash.

There's a site called Onlinebookclub that will

pay you cash for reviews.

Kirkus, which we discussed above,

they also pay cash for book reviewers,

in addition to hiring for some of those

other publishing positions.

There is a site called Booklookbloggers that,

they will just give you free books,

but it's an opportunity for you bloggers

out there to get some free product to review.

And then in those reviews, you can always write

a post on your blog and link to, say,

include your Amazon Associates link to the

actual book and earn a commission

when someone purchases.

Now for these book reviewer positions,

if you're curious about what is involved there,

if you're not familiar with that,

usually what these companies are looking for

are testimonials that the authors

can post on their sites.

I don't believe that Amazon allows any of this anymore,

so primarily it's going to be testimonials

that the authors are going to paste on

their own site or on their publisher's site.

Or maybe even on another book selling site.

So what they are going to want,

you're going to be writing a text version

of your review, usually around 300-400 words

is what they are looking for.

So you are gonna have to put in the time

and actually read the book and provide

some honest feedback there as far as

what your thoughts and feelings are.

And know sometimes it does take up to a

month to get paid with some of those companies.

So it's not something that you can really

depend on for fast turnaround as far

as pay is concerned.

And it's probably not something you're gonna

be able to earn a full-time income from as well.

But it is something that if you do enjoy reading,

it is another way that you can earn a little

bit of cash on the side.

Now those are just a couple of ways that you

can get paid by getting involved in the publishing industry.

There are some other opportunities there as well.

If you really love graphic design,

you can get involved in things like

creating ebook covers or doing some design

work as far as the author websites.

You can also get involved in ebook conversion

if that's something that you have knowledge in.

There's really a lot of different fields

that are involved there.

If you have any knowledge of the publishing,

or self-publishing field there, you can give a

quick rundown as far as what tasks need

to be done and how your skills can be translated

into creating an income there.

Whether you're a virtual assistant, a writer,

like we said graphic design, some of those

other fields, that you can get involved in.

below for a link to a blogpost that's going

to give you some more information on the

things we spoke about today,

in addition to some other additional options as well.

And make sure you get signed up for that free

seven-day series on finding work at home.

And if you have any experience as far as

book reviewing or doing some other tasks in

the self publishing field, I'd love for you

to leave me a comment and tell me a little

more about it.

Until next time, I wish you best of luck

with finding work from home.

GRWM Hair - How I Style My Hair From Wet to Dry - Hair Get Ready With Me - Duration: 9:29.

Hey yall! welcome back to my channel We're in my bathroom today. Gonna do a hair get ready

with me I'm gonna go wash my hair in the one in the back we're gonna show you the

products that I put in it and we'll style it together I'm gonna go ahead and go wash

my hair and I'll be right back just got into the shower i'ma tell you what I use to

wash my hair kind of hodgepodge of stuff I use the Aussie this is the volumizing

I think it does help with my volume or and then once a week I use the nutrra ox

to prevent thinning but I will tell y'all this will dry you out like a

bone it will leach it so don't use this on a daily basis when I use this I

try to keep it at my scalp for treatment and I also keep in there Nioxin because

this is... the nutra ox is the off-brand of the nioxin and this is the more

expensive one but this doesn't dry you out so I'll use this sometimes sometimes

a once a week I use the nutri ox seriously ya''ll don't use this much The Aussie is mostly

what I use and then to get the moisture back in my hair recently when it was so

dry is forever and didn't really like it The Kenra colour maintenance

conditioner it really I think put the moisture back in my hair super fast so

I'm gonna join this So I'll keep you updated on this okay then when I get

out I put on the Nutri ox this is the scalp treatment to prevent shedding now

I will tell y'all right now I'm sheddin like crazy. It's like I'm

blowin my coat Elle is for living just put out a great derma rolling video with

pictures of scalp I'm gonna start dermarolling my scalp more often I just go in

and pin it you know just all over my scalp I probably use too much of it get

this as Sallys and then I'm gonna scratch it with my nails to get it in

there good but I'm gonna seriously start to derma rolling my scalp more because Elle's gotten

good results with that I'll let that sit for a minute again I'm just

use the Garnier Fructis gel and I mostly used this for my bangs to hold my bangs

and the roots in place you should get pretty good with that

okay then I use one of 2 mousses and these are new to me

subscriber friends told me about the got to be fatastic and I love this it

holds good it makes my hair big and not stiff this is my favorite then also got

the living proof this makes my hair really big I think I still have to got

to be fantastic better than the living proof I'll let you know as I go along

with them but this is the one I'm going to use today it makes my hair nice

and big this is real rich okay and then that's really all the product I

put in if I really wanted some extra volume I sometimes might use the bed

head queen for a day I used to use that daily and if I was going somewhere fancy and

really needed to hold it I would put on the root pump plus just at my roots

right before it got dry okay now just have a very sad round brush I've had for about twenty

years and a paddle brush that I've probably picked

up at CVS and then I'm gonna dry my bangs and I'll just I'll fast-forward

through this

When I'm blow drying my bangs I'm going up and out

after I get my bangs dried I just give em a shot with my Suave I love this

and when I blow dry out the rest of my hair I'm going back and forth to

get that volume in my hair and then I'll come over the back I'll fast forward this

I style it like it's layin right now to this side so the majority of the time I

want to have it on that side so that when it comes over its lifted

I'm going to go upside down and dry the rest of it okay then we're a frizzy mess

and I'm going to use this to straighten it before we use the flat

iron on it and I have a crock that I got at Ulta I love this flatiron so gonna turn that

on

I do not brush through this because I don't want to brush it down if it feels

too slick if you have fine hair and you want it to be more textured the living

proof Dry Volume Blast is my absolute favorite

I just come under here I don't need a lot of it today because my hair is

already filling pretty textured so just spread in there and then you know kind

of at the roots okay then I'm going to get my flat iron

and I just come really from about here and down and I would say angled in

ward a little bit kind of turn under and I'm not only sectioning I'm

just grabbing the chunks you know just kind of smoothing it down and if you

want to see how a hot rollers nothing's changed since my last when I did hot

rollers in my last get ready with me coming around the back pull that back to

the front any part that feels frizzy and like it needs to be straightened and I'm

working with a lot of layers I will come back and do a video on how I layer my hair

I'll show you how to do that because I haven't been to a salon

since my daughter was 13 and she's now nineteen six years

So I'll show ya'll how I do that and then I'm just grabbing ends go up and out so you're

not flattening all that work down that you just did with the blow dryer and out

see how I'm going out with it never down Never want that hair going down

well not if you want with volume and then I'm gonna go over my bangs I'll show

you how do my bangs okay this side right over here we're

going out and down a tiny bit

and the middle I want It to go down a tiny bit but not too

much and over here I'm going to this side and aiming that way I'm going this way with

this set of my bags this way with this set of my bags and then kind of a middle

part sometimes I'll sweep it to the side you

know more like that but I always keep them kinda short because I need

heighth ya'll. I think I have a short top of my head that makes me need height.

I need heighth ya'll my sister and I both do

and I am going towards my scalp now but I'm going out

I'm going to take my full dry living proof full drive volume blast and

I'm going to shoot my roots that was quite a bit

that's pretty wet okay then this right here by my face I usually kind of flip a

piece or two up give it some shape and then pull from underneath I have some short

hairs there. Some short unhealthy hairs under there that I need to put oil on they

break off so pull out from underneath and then if I want anymore lift at my

root I'm going to get just a comb I have this one out of rat tail combs too

but just any comb and just kind of right at the root then when I get it like I

want it and shoot it with either Sebastian shaker Plus which I love or

Phil Mitchell freeze and shine which I also love I love all these Paul Mitchell

freeze and shine gets a lot of love and then I'm just spraying right at the root as

little as possible because if I spray too much at the end of two two days a

day or two it's real stiff and that's how I do my hair tonight I'll sleep in a

ponytail I have a tutorial for how I do my high ponytail I'm gonna link that and I'm

gonna link my first get ready with me so you'll have the hot rollers if you

want em tomorrow I'm going to come back and do a second day hair video that's

all I got for you so hope you enjoyed this video if you did please like and

subscribe leave comments and questions down below and I'll talk to y'all soon have a

good day
