Did you know 4 out of 5 rabbits purchased as Easter presents will not live to see their

first birthday?

Unfortunately, those that do, generally live in less than optimal conditions, or end up

in shelters and euthenized.

Each year, thousands of people purchase rabbits, as novelty gits, but more often than not they

end up with a living being they are not prepared to accommodate.

If you are considering buying a rabbit as an Easter gift, here are Ten Reasons NOT to

Buy An Easter Bunny.

Hi, welcome to Animal Facts.

Let's get started.

But, before we do take a moment to like and subscribe for more fun, fauna facts.

10.

Rabbits are not easy, starter pets.

They need a lot of care, and it is best for them to live indoors.

They can easily get too cold outside in the winter, or die from heat strokes in the summer.

Be prepared to have a large cage that needs cleaned often in your house.

They are also not wild animals and can not be released if not wanted.

They will not survive on their own.

There are rescue organizations online that can help rehome an unwanted bunny.

9.

Baby rabbits grow up fast, too fast, and get a lot bigger than the bunny you bought.

Some breeds can reach 30 pounds.

By the time they are six months old, they are in their temperamental, hormonal teenage

years.

This is the point most rabbits end up in shelters.

This hormonal behavior will pass after they are spayed or neutered, or when they reach

12 to 18 months.

Rabbits taken to a shelter will most likely be euthanized.

Please consider adopting an older rabbit, if you do decide to get one.

8.

Rabbits need specialized vet care that is only provided by an exotic pet vet.

Their health can deteriorate quickly if they get sick, and any sign of respiratory or stomach

distress should always be treated as an emergency.

Find a qualified vet before you buy.

7.

Rabbits need to be spayed or neutered at a specialized clinic to protect their long-term

health.

Spaying or neutering should be done at 3 /12 to 4 months of age, when the bunny reaches

sexual maturity.

This must be done by a specialist, as rabbits do not react well to anesthesia, and can easily

die if the vet isn't experienced with rabbits.

6.

Most rabbits do not enjoy being cuddled or held.

You must not force them.

Also, if he struggles to escape, he can easily break his back.

Instead, get on the floor with him and allow him to sniff you, jump on you and get to know

you on his terms.

It can take several months for a rabbit to bond with a person.

Also, a rabbit that wants to play will often nip you to get your attention.

5.

Rabbits are prey animals, and they react as such.

If something scares or startles them, they will run and hide or bite.

A rabbit does not understand that a screaming child chasing them is only wanting a cuddle.

The rabbit fears for his life, and can actually die of a heart attack.

For these reasons, we do not recommend rabbits to families with small children.

Also, don't expect your bunny and dog to be friends.

4.

Rabbits have specialized diets and delicate digestive tracts.

Pellets are not enough.

They need fresh fruit and veggies and timothy or alfalfa hay, along with their high quality

rabbit pellets.

The type of hay they should get depends on their stage of development.

You as a pet owner will need to become a bunny nutrionist.

3.

Cages are not enough.

Rabbits need to be out of their cages as much as possible, with a bare minimum of two hours

a day.

They require lots of exercise and stimulation.

A rabbit that is left alone will suffer.

They are very social animals, and can easily become depressed, and can develop arthritis

from inactivity.

Because they need to chew, all play should be closely supervised.

They can also dig under fences to escape, so they should never be left outside unattended.

2.

Rabbits can become destructive, i.e., chewing cords and doors, etc.

They need chew toys, tunnels, boxes, etc, to help gnaw their teeth down.

In the absence of this, to them the baseboards or the legs of your sofa work just fine.

Their teeth continually grow, just like their nails, which are quite sharp.

1.

Rabbits are incredibly smart, loving, and entertaining pets.

They don't give their trust like a puppy, you have to earn it.

Once you do, you will have a great pet, but don't think this is easy.

It takes time and effort on your part.

You cannot force a rabbit to love you.

But once a rabbit does love you, you should have a loyal friend for ten years.

Only buy a rabbit if you think ten years is not enough time with such an amazing friend.

If you aren't sure, please just buy a stuffed rabbit, not a real one.

Well, there ya have it.

Rabbits are amazingly cute critters, but as pets, they aren't for everyone.

Your Home Care Package - making it work for you - Duration: 8:27.

We all want to stay in our own home for as long as possible

and as independently as possible.

There's lots of things I can do and a few things I can't do.

When there are things we cannot do ourselves

getting some support can make a real difference to our lives.

I can hardly walk. I am sick, so it's such a big help in every way.

This is where a home care package can help.

Not just for ourselves

but for family members and others involved in our lives as well.

It's so important to us yes that's right.

If we didn't have that

well I don't know how you'd get on.

Because as we're getting older we're getting more frail and

you're not going to be able to do the things

that we have been used to doing.

I've found that out now.

Spending money on yourself and your health

wellbeing and happiness can be money well spent

and it can add to the quality of your life right now.

The government encourages everyone

to make a contribution towards the cost of receiving help at home

if they can afford to.

But some people may not be able

to afford to contribute much

so it's ok to negotiate

an affordable amount

with your home care provider.

It's important to match up value for money

with the quality of the care and services you receive.

It's not just about prices

it's also about flexibility and creativity as well

Well I worked with the council first with the council.

Right now we're paying privately

we're paying an agency direct care workers

we're not going through a particular provider of any sort

we're just paying directly to a carer when we need it.

Depending on your circumstances it might take some time

before you are allocated your home care package.

You can use this time to find out

about some approved home care providers in your area

and plan for the best way to use your package

to meet your needs.

Perhaps you could make a list of things

that you'd like to be able to do

And talk to family, friends and neighbours

who might be able to help you.

I've got a son who's very good at doing repairs

if I need them

and my neighbours are my unpaid gardeners.

And she came with a big pot of, not pot,

a dish of chicken broth for me.

I've got very good neighbours.

Its really important for me

to get the right provider.

I think a new person coming on to a package

needs to ask the questions

"What service can the package provide me?"

"And how do I go about getting it?"

Choosing the right provider to deliver your package

is very important.

Use the MyAgedCare Service Finder

then call or meet with a few providers

to find out things like

If you have specific language or cultural needs

check if the provider can meet those needs.

It's good to be able to speak Polish

with a carer yes. Well they're nice.

We talk about cooking, we talk about religion.

Well, yes, everybody wants to speak their own language

You know it's only natural.

And you know you can do it different ways.

So there are lots of opportunities for people to choose what they want.

The great thing about home care packages

is that the services and care you can get are very flexible.

Start thinking about the things that are harder to manage nowadays.

What is preventing you from doing the things

that make your life as easy and enjoyable as possible?

Is it care for yourself?

Well I can't dress myself anymore

so my carers who come in the mornings help me get dressed

and they also help me have a shower.

Or, help with reducing risks and increasing safety at home?

I'd like a new security door

one that they can't see in.

Or looking after your house or garden?

It's a fairly big place to cut the lawns

and I'd have to do the front one day and the back the next

and it just got too much for me.

Or getting out and about and staying connected

with your family, friends and community.

Yes, yes, Polish Club

I love to go to the Polish Club, yes.

If I needed respite for Bill I would be able to get respite in the home

so that makes it a lot easier.

My hands are full of arthritis and bones are growing on top of the bones

You see they are all twisted. I have no strength at all in my hands.

You can use the home care package in creative ways

as well as for the day to day things you need.

They give me an airconditioner,

shoes.

I did use the package to go swimming twice a week.Yes.

They come and talk to you, not tell you,

but they're supposed to come and talk to you about and discuss with you

what you would like, what they think you need and have that conversation.

When you receive a home care package you will have access to a case manager

If your needs change they will help you change your care plan.

She's been responsible for getting a lot of help for me

and a lot of sort of additional things.

You pay for your Case Manager out of your home care package.

Well I don't know what I would do without it.

It would be very, very hard. It would be very, very hard.

It helps me to be independent, as much as I can be.

And it gives me a lot of security because I know it's there.

And that makes a difference.

And we're together

And hopefully we'll be together for a long time yet.

So with help in the home we're able to achieve that.

So with help in the home we're able to achieve that.

Megaman 2 Perfect No Damage Walkthrough Airman - Duration: 3:16.

Today I'm gunna walk you through a perfect run of Mega Man 2.

Airman has some of the ugliest enemies throughout the series.

Wait for his horns to disappear then make a run for it.

Jump again, turn around and shoot the bat.

Anticipate the cones retracting so you can jump and run across to the next platform.

You can desync the cones if the next head is half off the screen, which might make some

jumps more difficult, so don't idle on the the head if possible.

Don't worry if the bats appear just tap the direction you want to face.

Sometimes I like to do a practice jump just so I can feel the timings.

Take this next guy out quickly and steal his cloud.

As soon as you kill this next one jump and take his could too.

Jump shoot so you can get some early shots in on the third guy.

If you don't get him the first time you might need to dodge a bolt and make a long jump.

Hang on to the right of the platform even though it's hard to see.

Shoot left.

Now wait for the cloud to reappear while blindly firing at the 5th and final cloud enemy.

This next part with the bird droppings is pretty easy, especially if you've already

done Woodman or Crashman's level.

Remember you can farm for health if you need.

Next up more floating steel goblins, or air tikki's or devil faces or whatever you want

to call him.

There's no platform between these next two so you wanna run a jump right before retracing.

This is so make the next goblin appear in time so that their horns don't syncopate and

prevent you from making a jump.

This wasn't a perfect example, because my previous jump was a tad late.

Luckily the jump was still makable.

One final jump and your done.

This fat dude passing wind isn't so much trouble just make sure he's well within the camera

so you don't get blown back off the screen.

There's also bird eggs you gotta watch out for behind the clouds.

Listening to the music can help with the timing.

Each of Airman's 5 tornado patterns are dodgeable, some are much harder than others.

This one here is the easiest, so hope you get this one alot.

When he comes at you hang behind and get in some free shots.

Be ready to jump and be swept to the right.

His other patterns can be dodged by short jumping and at least one of them is pixel

perfect.

You can actually finish him off faster but he should never be able to get more than six

attempts to hit you.
