5 Reasons You should STOP write CSS and use Sass - Duration: 2:32.

sass is a CSS preprocessor and becoming very popular for years basically you

write sass and then compile it to CSS but what is the benefits in this video

we will talk about five reasons you should stop writing CSS and use sass

instead let's check it out

the first reason and perhaps the most important is you can use variable this

alone let you write CSS faster and more organized for example if you are using

the same color code cross your CSS just set it as variable so you can reuse it

anywhere you want and if you want to change the color just update a variable

and it's done but for traditional CSS you have to

replace all the occurrences on your code one by one with sass you can write CSS

almost like programming language you can use if-else calculation logics make

inline comment or even create a function this let you write more complex code

while still readable and reusable for other projects while traditional CSS

cannot and here's the reason number two number three sass is based on CSS syntax

so you don't have to relearn the whole new language basically sass is a CSS

superset so you can even copy your CSS into sass and it's working you can

switch to use sass right now and get used to the extra feature little by

little reason number four you can split your

sass into a smaller module and imported when needed it's let you modularize your

code making a lot easier for maintenance while you can also use import with

traditional CSS but each import will cause an extra HTTP request to your

server which is not good the sass import on the other hand will be compiled and

processed into a single CSS file so you won't have that problem

reason number five we could use inherent concept in sass for example you have a

set of CSS properties that will be used many times just extend it it's basically

the same concept as Java or C# this will prevent redundant code improve

readability and easier maintenance of course this is not

possible for conventional CSS so these are reasons why you should give sass a try

and if you are looking for a nice build in sass compiler that you speed up your

project check out this tutorial video thanks for watching don't forget to like

or subscribe to stay with us for more see you next time bye

Inventor Story: Inventing New Technology | What is an Invention - Duration: 6:51.

I grew up in a third world country where you made your toys.

I made boats out of coconuts.

So, you would think things out like that.

That's an example of 'Gee, I would like to have a toy'.

Hello, today I'm here with Ted Watler from Parchment R&D.

He's an entrepreneur, inventor, technologist.

And, Ted is a cross-domain expert on technology solutions delivery.

From sensors to cloud, hardware, firmware, and software as well as security development.

Hello Ted, how are you today?

Thank you so much for joining us.

Thank you, Stephanie, for having me here.

I'm doing great.

I'm excited for the opportunity to talk with you and to share a bit about my background

and experience.

Hopefully, we make some contributions that help some of your audience.

Thank you.

I'm super excited to have you here because I know for a fact when we first talked I was

like harassing you because what you do is so intriguing and it's so unknown.

I mean, you hear about inventors all the time but you don't necessarily know how the process

works.

How you go from creating an idea to implementing that idea.

How you get a patent.

What's involved with that whole rigamarole.

It's just fascinating to be able to delve into that and at the end of the conversation

our conversation - where we get to know you and what you do - we're going to do a little

Q&A based on some questions from my Facebook page.

So, I hope that you are up for the challenge.

I am ready.

I hope I can deliver some value.

You know?

Let's get this show on the road.

Great.

Thank you so much.

I'm so excited!

So, tell us, how did you get started with inventing.

Were you always an inventor?

Did you disassemble your legos and your toys as a kid?

My creativity goes back to my days of youth.

Right?

I grew up in a third world country in a very small seaport town.

Where our access to information came through our church.

We never had access to real toys.

So, you made your toys.

I made boats out of coconuts.

If you take a dried coconut and you cut it to take out the nut you get a shape of a boat

that you can make as a hull.

So, you would think things out like that.

You'd put in the sails and so on.

And, you'd put a little piece of a sharp razor blade or something that acts as a rudder to

keep it stable in the water.

So, that's an example of 'Gee, I would like to have a toy to do certain things."

We would see things - it was an Episcopal church - we would see things like Highlight

Magazine and through Highlights you'd get ideas of 'Wow, that would be neat.

How could I get this?"

Back in those days, since you're in a port people would have catalogs of things that

would come off ships.

And, you'd get ideas and you'd go and say 'Wow!'.

"Instead of saying 'I wish', 'I would have', 'I should have' you go "Ok, How do I make

that?"

Right?

Or "How can you do that?"

And as I grew up I was very good at mathematics and chemistry.

I thought for a moment there I was going to be a Chemical Engineer until I got zapped

by a current.

Ohhhhhhh

And decided, 'Ok, how does this work?'

I grew up repairing and looking at things like refrigerators.

I was fixing the house refrigerator, running electrical wires for my grandmother's house

and my parent's house, right?

So, you do things throughout your life that represent your curiosity.

And it's all driven by curiosity.

'How does that work?' or 'How do I get something done?'

It's your creative nature.

It's your desire to get something done.

And some of us go the extra mile some of us don't.

You know?

I didn't care about patents when I first stated doing my work.

Until my first boss in the United States - my first professional job - actually came to

work for me in California and overheard many of my client's conversations and he would

go 'Who owns that intellectual property?'

I'd go, 'What are you talking about?'

Intellectual Property?

[laugh]

And that's when that started to sink in.

It all started with an innate curiosity as a kid and not having the resources or access

to things and trying to fill the void with my own creativity.

Yeah, that's so great.

You hear the stories sometimes, but it's really nice to see the progression and to know that

you decided to go into chemical engineering and decided that 'Oh, maybe this isn't necessarily

the track that I want.'

I think it's kind of like you wanted more.

You wanted not to have that specifically narrow niche, right?

Well, it was too easy for me.

Electricity and electrical engineering and those things sort of became...I couldn't understand

it, right?

I needed to know what is this thing that knocked me on my tail while I was playing with some

wires.

That's pretty much what sparked the curiosity to get where I am

Haha, "sparked"

Is that what your degree is in - electrical engineering?

Or ....

Yes.

Here I am today as a degreed Electrical Engineer and my focus was in computer and electronic

engineering.

And back in my days we did a lot more than - not demeaning anything today - but once

I came to the US it was amazing what was available to a student.

Are you referring to resources or opportunities or both.

What I was familiar with - when there are resources available to your learning experience

- before coming here and preparing to come to the US I did a year at the University of

Honduras and I was happy.

I was young, bouncing around, had the world at my feet.

You feel young and you feel on top of it all.

However, in today's pattern driven development world you know that there are certain things

that follow solutions and that pattern is defined.

It repeats itself.

It's you identifying and getting it done.

The difference with coming to the US was: academic institutions and professors were

unlike my experience.

You know?

Where things are expected.

They have preset answers.

Very linear, very yeah.

Almost like booleans.

It's like 'Yes' and 'No' this is the way it is, yeah.

Yes, and you know, that was a culture shock for me.

I didn't get discouraged.

I believe in what I do and I believe in my opportunity and myself.

Eventually, when I graduated I started my first job, met my wife, and the rest is history.

Here we are this morning.

It seems like you've been on the course for excellence the accolades and everything.

I don't know, they probably wash away after a point, but what's your proudest accomplishment?

Can Leadership be Taught?- Michael Feyrer Jr - Duration: 3:27.

Can leadership be taught what an interesting question let's get right into it

generally define leadership is the ability to lead others to a common goal do I think

leadership can be taught any person who has passion for any particular subject can be

taught to be a leader in that subject but a lot of times I think that a person takes

leadership when they see things that need to be done and they have a passion for the

project can be anything in business or in life there is just never going to be a leader

in that timid guy that sits in the corner unless he has true passion and sees an opportunity

to change people's lives so i truly believe that passion and leadership go hand-in-hand

you can try to teach somebody to be a leader all day long in the industry they have no

passion for and guess what they're never going to be anything but a door stop sitting over

there but if you bring in somebody who has passion for what you're doing in loves your

vision they're going to easily be able to turn that passion into leadership in one form

or another because part of being a leader is believe in the direction that you're going

and if you don't believe that you're going to have a difficult time convincing others

to believe it now one of the things that accidentally happened as I became a youtuber I became a

leader in the community just by helping other people and offering up positivity and good

messaging to folks out there i was always willing and open to help another youtuber

in any way that i possibly could and a lot of people looked at this is leadership i just

looked at it as trying to help others it's funny how things work that way cuz i never

saw myself as a leader before and chances are sitting in that desk for 20 years i wasn't

a leader and i didn't really want to be a leader and that's what it comes down to passion

so the question was can leadership be taught well i truly believe that it can be taught

but it can't be talk to just anyone it must be taught to people with passion for your

project you can beat into them the qualities of leadership all day long but until they're

excited to go out there and deliver.

Message or your message or any message whatsoever really how passionate are they going to be

now course this is just my opinion and you might think that somebody who goes into business

school can magically become a leader in anything but I truly don't believe that you can be

an effective leader without passion for your project and anyone who has passion for a project

can easily be taught to be a leader in the industry because guess what it's what they

really want it's what they're really excited about it's not hard to teach people who want

to learn that's just my opinion and I'm sticking to it so if you like this sort of content

a little bit of inspiration little bit of collaboration and trying to help people to

live in the moment every single day subscribe to the channel and ring that bell so you know

when I have new content coming out my name is Michael Feyrer junior go out there find

your adventure have a great day and i will see you soon

Christopher Ransom: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com - Duration: 11:33.

Christopher Ransom: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Christopher Ransom was identified as the "career criminal" accused of trying to rob a cell phone store with a fake weapon, provoking a law enforcement response that led to the friendly fire death of veteran NYPD Detective Brian Simonsen.

Simonsen was on duty in Queens at the time he was shot; he was a married father and 19-year NYPD veteran who was close to retirement.

Christopher Ransom's name was not released by the NYPD as of the morning of February 13, 2019, but it was reported by publications such as the New York Post via sources.

"Multiple law enforcement sources tell @jonathan4ny man shot by police in attempted robbery at #Queens cell phone store is Christopher Ransom," reported Steven Bognar, a managing editor for WNBC-TV.

"Our hearts are broken again, because a career criminal put lives in jeopardy.

Det.

Brian Simonsen, 42, was a 19-year-veteran of the #NYPD.

He lost his life fighting crime & keeping safe all the people we serve.

The sympathies of all New Yorkers are with his family & colleagues," New York Police Commissioner James O'Neill said.

The shooting unfolded on February 12, 2019 in a chaotic scene that left Simonsen and Sergeant Matthew Gorman wounded, shattered glass on the sidewalk, and one witness hiding behind a tree.

Gorman is expected to survive.

Initial reports that there might have been two suspects do not appear to be accurate.

Here's what you need to know:.

A 'Furious Gun Battle' Erupted at the T-Mobile Store After the Suspect Showed Up With an Imitation Gun, Reports Say.

The shooting death was the first NYPD on-duty death by gunfire since 2017, with the last being Miosotis Familia.

However, according to Pix 11, it was the second time a New York police officer was shot in three months.

There was another friendly fire shooting in December 2018.

In the case of Detective Simonsen, authorities say he died responding to what they characterized as an armed robbery.

However, things quickly became chaotic and confusing.

"This appears to be an absolute tragic case of friendly fire," Police Commissioner James O'Neill said in a news conference.

"…Make no mistake about it, friendly fire aside, it is because of the action of the suspect that Det.

Simonsen is dead.

This is an absolute tragedy." He described a chaotic scene as patrol officers arrived while Simonsen and Gorman were leaving the store after a confrontation with the suspect.

"We lost a very good man," Mayor Bill de Blasio said, adding that Simonsen spent his career "protecting this city." He said he spent time with Simonsen's mother and wife, describing that moment as an extremely painful one.

"We told them…the people of New York City would be there for them as long as they lived.".

A 911 call came in about such, and Simonsen and the sergeant responded to the T-Mobile store, according to News 1.

When the officers arrived, a suspect was "holed up" inside, Daily News reports.

There were two suspects at the scene, news reports said.

The Suspect Was Described as a 'Career Criminal' & Was Also Shot.

The suspect, "a 27-year-old resident and career criminal, was shot multiple times…he is listed in stable condition," said the police commissioner the evening of the tragedy.

Commissioner O'Neill said in the press conference that two 911 callers had reported a robbery in progress at the T-Mobile cell phone store on 120th Street in Queens.

The suspect was described as a "male armed with a firearm" and two employees were forced at gunpoint to the back of the store, according to a caller.

The sergeant and Simonsen pulled up just as patrol units were arriving.

They were in the area working on an unrelated case and "didn't hesitate," the commissioner said.

The officers didn't see anyone inside, so they entered the store, and saw a man fitting the suspect description allegedly advance toward them with a gun.

The officers discharged their weapons as the suspect advanced toward them, the commissioner said, and started to leave the store.

At that time, Simonsen was shot, according to O'Neill.

He was transported in a police squad car to the hospital.

Multiple officers fired multiple rounds, O'Neill said, pledging that there would be an investigation.

However, as for the suspect, "recovered by police at the scene was an imitation firearm," the commissioner said.

The sergeant was shot in the leg and a passerby transported him to the hospital, where he is in stable condition.

The shooting occurred in Richmond Hill around 6:14 p.m.

The New York Daily News initially described what happened next as a "furious gun battle." The New York Times described it as a "wild shootout.".

According to PIX 11, the store's doors were "blown out by the gunfire and glass fragments littered the sidewalk" after the shooting.

Brian Simonsen Was a Veteran Detective & Married Father Who Handled High-Profile Cases.

As a detective, Brian Simonsen drew some high-profile cases during his service on the NYPD.

Simonsen was mentioned in a 2011 blog post by the Child Injury Lawyer Network about a Queens babysitter who was accused of falling asleep while drinking Nyquil, at which point a child fell in a mop bucket and drowned.

"NYPD Detective Brian Simonsen testified that (Kristal) Kahn showed no emotion was neither sad nor frantic when she gave her written statement a mere 2 hours after the death," the post reads.

Tragically, according to News 1, the detective would have retired in a year.

He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

He was promoted to detective in 2008.

He was married and left behind two children, and he didn't even have to be at work that day, but he showed up anyway, authorities said.

Witnesses Described Multiple Gunshots & a Limping Officer.

Witnesses saw a frightening scene.

Despite the friendly fire finding, some witnesses were confused who had fired, and a radio transmission captured some of the frantic reports from the scene.

"I think the suspect shot first.

Then the police started opening fire," said Jason Parodi, who was walking nearby, to The New York Post.

"At least 11 – 12 shots that I heard.".

He added to the Post: "Actually I think I see one officer, he was shot.

He was limping to his car.

I was scared, I didn't know what direction the bullets were coming in so I hid behind that tree by the park.".

"Shots fired! Shots fired!" an officer said on radio transmissions, according to Daily News.

"Central, he's in the store.

He's going to the back… He's still in the store, central.

He's still in the store.".

Tributes for Detective Simonsen Flooded Social Media.

Tributes to Brian Simonsen began to spread on social media, as the mayor rushed to the hospital.

"Our thoughts & prayers are with the members of the @nypd, family, & friends of Det.

Demetrius Nathaniel Pitts: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com - Duration: 11:21.

Demetrius Nathaniel Pitts: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Demetrius Nathaniel Pitts, who was arrested in July of 2018 for allegedly plotting a terror attack in Cleveland, is facing new charges after federal authorities said he threatened to kill President Donald Trump and his family.

According to the indictment, Pitts said he would chop off the president's head and hands, and target his children as well.

Pitts, 49, from Maple Heights, Ohio, also goes by the aliases Abdur Raheem Rafeeq or Salah ad-Deen Osama Waleed.

The FBI-Cleveland Division's Joint Terrorism Task has been investigating the case and prosecuted by the Northern District of Ohio.

Here's what you need to know.

Prosecutors: Pitts Threatened to Kidnap President Trump & Behead Him.

Prosecutors with the U.S.

Attorney's office in the Northern District of Ohio filed a superseding indictment against Demetrius Nathaniel Pitts on February 12, 2019.

They added additional counts related to threats made against the president of the United States dating back to June of 2018.

You can read the indictment in its entirety above.

According to the indictment, prosecutors say Pitts "did knowingly and willfully make a threat to take the life of, to kidnap, and to inflict bodily harm upon President Donald J.

Trump, specifically that Defendant would 'get' the President by cutting off the President's head and hands.".

Pitts is Accused of Threatening to Kill President Trump's Children as an Additional Way of Hurting Him.

Demetrius Pitts allegedly planned to target the president's adult children as well.

Prosecutors wrote in the indictment that Pitts threatened to kill Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner and reportedly send their dead bodies back to President Trump.

The indictment alleges that Pitts "did knowingly and willfully make a threat to take the life of, to kidnap, and to inflict bodily harm upon a member of the immediate family of the President, to wit, the children of President Donald J.

Trump, specifically that 'a better way to get, to get him (the President) is to kill his kids.

Kill his daughter, son-in-law.

Kill 'em all.

He (the President) come out 'cause you start killing his kids, chop their heads off… you send his kids back.'".

Prosecutors added two additional charges of making false statements to law enforcement to the indictment as well.

The FBI Began Investigating Pitts After Noticing Suspicious Online Activity.

The FBI began watching Demetrius Nathaniel Pitts in 2016.

According to the criminal affidavit, agents noticed a Facebook profile with the name Abdur Raheem Rafeeq, which turned out to be one of two aliases Pitts used.

On December 31, 2015, he sent a message to "The Craig Sewing Show" which read, "F*ck America and there arm forces.

The USA will be destroy. Allahu Akbar.".

On January 27, 2017, the FBI noticed that the "Abdur Raheem Rafeeq" user commented on pictures believed to be of a jihadist training camp.

The comments read, "We as Muslims need to start.

Train like this everyday.

We need to known how to shoot guns.

Throw hand grenades hand to hand combat.

How survey out in the woods.

Look at the bed blue eyed devils.

They teach their little dogs on how to shoot and Hunt.

If you fear death.

Then don't say you love Islam.

The Rasool saw said.

We should always be prepared to fight in the name of Allahu Akbar.

All cowards stay home.".

The affidavit further states that by July of 2017, investigators were concerned that Pitts desired to act on the online rhetoric.

Special Agent Andrew Wilson wrote that Pitts "expressed a desire to recruit people to kill Americans that were against Muslims and also stated he would have no remorse if he killed in the name of religion." In February of 2018, Pitts allegedly "expressed interest in joining al Qaeda, and training overseas and returning to the U.S.

to conduct an attack.".

Demetrius Pitts Was Arrested in July 2018 For Reportedly Plotting a Terror Attack in Cleveland for the July 4th Holiday.

The FBI used an undercover agent, acting as an "al Qaeda brother" to approach Demetrius Pitts on June 15, 2018.

The meeting took place in Willoughby, Ohio, which is a suburb of Cleveland.

In the recorded conversation, Pitts discussed beheading President Trump and cutting off his hands.

Later on in the conversation, Pitts began talking about ideas for potential attacks.

He described people who wanted to target marathons as "dumb nuts" and said "leave them sports places alone." Pitts also explained how to dispose of a dead body.

He told the undercover agent that the right strategy is to "chop him up and just send his ass to that hog farm." He also suggested tossing a body into the bayou when further south and letting alligators eat it.

Pitts added that he felt he needed to kill someone in order to earn al Qaeda's trust.

The undercover agent met with Pitts a second time on June 22, 2018.

They discussed launching an attack in Cleveland during the July 4th holiday.

Pitts was recorded saying, "What would hit them in the core? Blow up in the, have a bomb to blow up at the 4th of July parade." They also looked up a map of downtown Cleveland and talked about where an "explosive device would have the most impact.".

On June 25, an FBI source provided Pitts with a bus pass and a phone so that Pitts could conduct surveillance of downtown Cleveland and report back.

Pitts texted the undercover agent the next day, stating that he had finished the surveillance and that he wanted to "destroy the government." He returned the phone on June 27.

The FBI found videos on the phone that Pitts had recorded, in which he pledged allegiance to al Qaeda.

During another meeting on July 1 in Garfield Heights, Pitts discussed ideas for a future attack in Philadelphia.

He was arrested at the end of that meeting.

He was charged with Attempting to Provide Material Support or Resources to a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

Bank of Rhodes Vault Breach - Red Dead Redemption 2 - Duration: 4:44.

G'day everybody,

In this video I am going to show you how to enter the Bank of Rhodes vault

The trick to this breach is to stand between the pallet and crate located at the back of the bank

This isn't an easy breach and may take a few attempts

Surprisingly the entry glitch allows us to glitch through a desk

Unforuntately the desk drawers are all empty

Lucky for us the filing cabinet isn't searchable

On the wall are 3 photos of (what I presume are) Bank Managers

I was interested in checking the safes BUT they aren't searchable

For a bit of fun I thought that I'd give dynamite a go

The dynamite had no effect

Time to blow up all of the safes

That was pretty cool... but as expected the safes gave me nothing

Next I was curious to see if the stuff on top of the cubboard was anything of use.

The desk in the middle of the room does have one thing of interest... a jail key

At this time no-one knows what this is for

There is nothing else in this room

There are 2 ways that I exit from this room

The first way involves going through the wall next to the vault entrance

To do this you will need to shoot the chair legs to make it movable

Then push the chair away from the wall

This exit will put you into the hall

The second exit is through the picture wall

This exit puts you in the bank teller area

Austin Police Are Investigating The Assault as a Hate Crime.

Austin Police said they are investigating the attack as a hate crime.

"We weren't acting crazy, we weren't drinking, we were just walking back to our car after we had a great night with our friends," Perry told KXAN.

"They started following behind us pretty closely yelling every expletive you can think of," Deehring said.

"The last thing I said to one of the guys before they attacked both of us was like, 'I don't have anything more to say to you guys, we're just going home, leave us alone.'".

"Tristan took the first punch directly to his face, and that is what broke his nose," Deehring said.

"He took two or three more punches, and then he was down on the ground motionless, and he took a very hard kick to the back of the head.".

"If the bystander had not been there [the attackers] may have continued, it may have been much worse," he added.

"We want people to understand that it is possible for this to happen, it's not something where you could say its 2019, this doesn't happen anymore, we are living proof of it," Deehring said.

"It shouldn't happen to anyone else, and it breaks my heart that it's probably going to [keep happening] until these guys are caught," Perry said.

"Living in Corpus Christi and moving to Austin, I thought, 'Oh everyone is going to be so open-minded.' I think that a lot of people think that and it's overlooked that this could happen to anybody, anywhere, anytime.".

I love you (Happy Valentine's Day!) - Duration: 0:53.

Yo~ Yo~

This is a thank you for everything

A ; hovering over something that was once menacing

A soon to be continued

That exists after the ending screen

For the only song I know that I'd even wish to sing

When heat is blistering

You're the ice glistening inside my cup of tea

Which is also you

interesting

Throughout all of the seasons of this transition of winter spring

You've been here, beside me with the sweet nothings you're whispering

You're a lovable

Angelic

Piece of perfect

And anything I do for you is worth it

We can sit and be resilient and laugh

And in between the suble compliments and billions

Half kiss

Half hug

Half cuddle moments we share

And I know it's unfair

That we only get to spend a few days here

But I'm yours!

And I think that's clear~

So forget about goodbye

This is "See you soon my dear~!"
