WHAT IS LOVE TO YOU? | Valentine's Day Special | somewhat feat. Christ University kids - Duration: 8:11.
*mouse cursor moves sadly because it's lonely*
*click*
*what the search for love feels like in 2019*
Love -
an intense feeling of deep affection
but it doesn't specify what we're talking in reference to here, right?
I mean, it does give an example
A simple four letter word in the English lexicon
and we seem so f**king enamored by it
While you may think I made this for Valentine's because
I'm releasing this on the 14th,
you're wrong.
I don't give a sh*t about that
I don't even get to spend the first Valentine's in my first actual not-high-school relationship
with my girlfriend
So screw love in that sense.
*let's go, bi**hes*
My idea was to talk about what love means to us as humans
Not necessarily the romantic kind, I mean
of course, that's great
but the importance of it, too
and so I decided to find out from all of you
I mean, like the five people I could get on camera
So what is love to you?
"Uh, it should not be about the 'one',
it should be about you
because at the end of the day, you have to be with yourself
and you should love yourself."
"Personally, I think it's an illusion
and it's a good marketing strategy out there."
Amazing.
"If they had to take seven takes,
Oh God, camera ke saamne pata nahi mera kya ho jata hai."
*nervously gets ready for the shot*
love- an in-depth analysis
"Love.
Take attachment,
take sacrifice
bring them together
bind them by the golden ropes
of practicality and rationality
and there you have, love."
"Now you'd ask, why the golden ropes of practicality and rationality
because otherwise,
it enters the domain of infatuation
which is not what we are aiming for
Love is the most beautiful, sweet feeling
in the world."
"Love is, just a word(?)
I mean..."
Love is when you put someone else before you (Hollywood clearly couldn't lol)
Love is when...
it's not just a human being,
love can be for...
your dog, your
pen, or
anyone."
"Love...
I've never fallen in love with a human being
... but I think,
*extremely deep thought*
it will be nice."
*insert motivational quote about love*
"So, I would say that, you know
people usually say that love is everything
love is really important for them, but I would say
If two people are happy just being around each other
and just liking their company, that's love
You don't need to be, you know
loyal or honest to ends, and you know
you don't need to do sacrifice for the other people
But till the time you're happy with one another
I think that's what love means to me."
"Yeah, like, it's related to
it's related a lot to like, respect, and
I personally believe that love is something that stems from respect
Until and unless you like, respect the other individual
in all ways you can,
you cannot love them
And love, is not as like rosy or whatever as you know,
the idea of love is presented to be
So just like he said,
a basic fondness of someone is also love
Staying in someone's company is love
You know, because it's just
funny how the only way people describe love these days are like, relationships."
"Yeah."
"Which is damn weird, because
you know, there are... there's platonic love
which need not be what relationships are, so..."

iKON - '너를 사랑하고도 (I STILL LOVE YOU)' FM/V [Junhoe, BOBBY] - Duration: 3:44.
Even when I feel lonely, I still love you
I can't stand it, my throat becomes dry from sorrow
Like a little doll in the dark corner of the room
I'm only looking out of the window with blurry eyes
That feeling in my heart, when I saw you for the first time
I wished to find a way for this feeling to stay
Because I had been dreaming of a different love
I couldn't get close to your heart
The afterglow over the mountain sky that is always in my window
The red lips that are pressed to the blackened bruise
I go farther away from you, my love
I'm hiding my worn out look as I turn around
There's no grief anymore, now that I know your heart
"I love you", I don't want to hear those words
Just show me your smile until we part our ways
I can't even take my eyes off the sight of you because it's so beautiful
Now even though I say I love you I can't make you stay
Waking up at dawn without a sound, my scream becomes a lullaby
Like the wind, the sigh from your lips makes my feeling still flutter wildly
In my world where nothing exists anymore, if my spirit finally breaks
I hope you feel bad for me as you see me in my pathetic misery
You are my other half, my heart melts down more
You are my other half, the loneliness just gets bigger
Girl, I love you. Girl, I love you alone
Girl, I want you, babe. Girl, I want you
If this is our last time, show me your smile until the end
If not, then please just cry with me now
Say it, please say my name again
And then please treat me cruelly so I'll be able to hate you.
There's no grief anymore (...no more, no more, no more...)
Now that I know your heart
"I love you", I don't want to hear those words (...I hate it, hate it, hate it...)
Just show me your smile (...for real...)
Until the very end of us

Will you get a smaller refund? Probably. But are you really paying more in tax? NJ.com - Duration: 4:23.
Will you get a smaller refund? Probably. But are you really paying more in tax? NJ.com
NJ Advance Media for NJ.com
Keep in mind its early in the tax filing season, plus the government shutdown caused some delays in processing returns.
But what about the new tax plan? Wasnt it supposed to give taxpayers a tax cut?
Smaller refunds dont necessarily mean youre paying more in taxes, but those who usually get a large refund check may be in for a rude awakening.
In addition to smaller refunds, the tax preparers we spoke to found some other surprises for taxpayers who were expecting to pay less in tax overall.
But first, why the smaller refunds?
Refund surprises
One of the biggest impacts on your tax situation has nothing to do with changes to deductions and credits.
Updated IRS withholding tables are the biggest culprit leading to smaller refunds.
The tables are used by employers to calculate the tax withheld from an employees paycheck, said Lynn Ebel, director of The Tax Institute at H R Block. "These changes generally resulted in bigger paychecks and less tax withheld starting in February or March, even if you took no action," Ebel said. With less tax withheld throughout the year, it means shrinking refunds because theres less to refund taxpayers when returns are filed. Ebel said anyone who updated their withholding after the IRS made its adjustments can expect the withholding outcome they planned for when completing their W 4. But those who didnt update their W 4 are "most at risk of significant changes to their refund or balance due," Ebel said.
Ifyou usually get a large refund and you planned to use the money to pay down debt or make a down payment on a new car, you could be disappointed. Instead, youve been seeing that money all along.
Of course, that doesnt alleviate the gut punch of a smaller refund if you were expecting one.
In some instances, taxpayers accustomed to modest refunds now have balances due on their 2018 income tax returns, said Neil Becourtney, a certified public accountant and tax partner with CohnReznick in Eatontown. "It appears that the average working stiff with 2018 income about the same for 2017 is in for a decrease in their refund historically received," he said. "If someones net pay went up last winter, they likely equated that to the tax benefit they were reaping from The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act but now they may have buyers remorse." The IRS and the Government Accountability Office previously estimated that nearly five million fewer taxpayers would receive refunds, while another five million would probably owe money when they file their returns.
Case studies
Overall, the tax preparers we spoke to said they havent completed many returns yet. Some are still waiting for 1099s from brokerage houses and other paperwork to come through.
But the returns they have completed show some interesting findings.
Michael Karu, a certified public accountant with Levine, Jacobs Co. in Livingston, said for the two returns he completed so far, both had smaller refunds even though their income was roughly the same.
"It has nothing to do with the law changes and everything to do with the government reducing the withholding tax requirements and people getting a little more each week in their paychecks," Karu said.
Karu, who personally prepares about 400 returns a year while his firm prepares 2,500 each season, shared one of his clients profiles as an example.
It was a single parent with two children filing as Head of Household. Gross income was dollar 95 higher than the year before and taxable income was dollar 4,195 higher, but the parent also had higher credits. Overall, the refund was dollar 773 lower than the year before, but the parent had been receiving more in each paycheck throughout the year, Karu said.
The tax professionals we surveyed said they havent seen any real trends yet, but they are seeing surprises.
"Employees had more take home pay because this was sold as a middle income tax cut, but it doesnt seem to be working out that way," said Cynthia Fusillo, certified public accountant with Lassus Wherley, a subsidiary of Peapack Gladstone Bank, in New Providence. She said shes only completed two returns so far this season.
One was for a 64 year old single filer who lost dollar 15,862 in itemized deductions and dollar 4,050 of an exemption. The taxpayer had a lower adjusted gross income AGI , but taxable income was higher, and he ended up with a dollar 656 higher tax bill.
"In general, it seems that the middle income taxpayers are getting hit harder due to the loss of miscellaneous deductions and [deductions for] state and local taxes over dollar 10,000," Daquila said. She offered this example: An 88 year old widow with identical income in 2017 and 2018. In both years, his gross income was dollar 99,708 and his taxable income was dollar 86,108. But his actual tax for 2018 was dollar 12,075, up dollar 1,117 from 2017s dollar 10,958. Thats a 10.2 percent increase. "The tax increase was due to the elimination of miscellaneous itemized deductions in 2018," she said. Daquila said tax rates may also lead to surprises for some taxpayers. While the rates generally went down, the income ranges for those rates start at a much lower income level, she said. For example, for 2017, the single tax rate of 33 percent was for those with income of dollar 191,651 to dollar 416,700. But for 2018, the 32 percent tax rate starts from dollar 157,501 through dollar 200,000, and its 35 percent for those earning dollar 200,001 to dollar 500,000.
Retired people who take distributions from retirement accounts could also be in for negative surprises.
When you take a distribution from a retirement account, typically, the brokerage house will withhold estimated taxes on the distribution.
"[Retired people] are having less withholding taken out of their retirement distributions and they didnt realize this would happen," said Gail Rosen, a certified public accountant in Martinsville. "Many just considered the impact of the new tax rate tables on wages and didnt consider their retirement income."
Rosen, who prepares nearly 1,000 returns each year, called it "disheartening" when upon completion of their tax return, seniors "owe money or have a significantly smaller refund which they depend on."
"We warned our clients but now they are realizing the reality of the impact on the reduced tax rate tables," she said. Some taxpayers those with higher incomes can expect good news when they file their returns.
"From tax planning that we did and my own personal income tax returns that are substantially completed, many of our clients where income is relatively the same as 2017 will reap an overall tax reduction due to escaping the Alternative Minimum Tax and use of the Section 199A Qualified Business Income QBI deduction," Becourtney said.
The QBI deduction is a 20 percent deduction on certain kinds of income big savings for taxpayers who qualify.
Becourtneynotes that each 1040 filers situation stands on its own based on many variables, including filing status, whether both spouses in a joint filing work, whether they have a business thats eligible for QBI, whether they own or rent and more. Also, because the standard deduction is nearly doubled, many who itemized in the past will now get a bigger benefit from the standard deduction, said Ebel of H R Block. "But those who will continue itemizing could be impacted by the dollar 10,000 cap on state and local tax deductions and will be more likely to have a balance due when they file in 2019," Ebel said. "Homeowners in high tax states will also be more at risk of owing next tax season because of that cap on state and local tax deductions." What can you do? If you dont like what happened with your refund this year, you can take action to help make sure it doesnt happen again by updating your withholding with your employer. throughout 2018 to expect these changes. It even offers a so you can see the optimal withholding for you. Now is the time to make the changes. Dont wait. "Updating a W 4 at the start of the year stretches out the changes over a longer period, so tax season is an opportune time to update a W 4," Ebel said. And if youre taking distributions from retirement accounts, be sure that enough is being withheld for your tax bill.

Hailey Nailor was a 16-year-old girl who tragically committed suicide by jumping off a mall parking garage in Connecticut after posting a heartbreaking final video to Snapchat.
Hailey died after jumping from the 5th floor of the Danbury Fair Mall parking garage parking garage.
Although social media posts are focusing on bullying as the possible cause of the teen's tragic suicide, and police are investigating that angle, The Connecticut Post reports that Hailey's family does not believe bullying caused the tragedy.
Rather, the newspaper reported, Hailey had struggled in the past with threats to self harm and "anxiety, mood disorder and depression.
Here's what you need to know:.

Ron Skeans, BBC Cameraman: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com
Ron Skeans, a BBC cameraman, was attacked at a Donald Trump rally in El Paso, Texas, by a man wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat.
Speaking to the BBC, Skeans said he received a "very hard shove" from his blindside.
Skeans said, "I didn't know what was going on.".
At the time of the incident, President Trump gave Skeans a thumbs-up gesture and said, "You all right? Everything OK? OK, thank you" after he noticed the commotion.
The president has repeatedly insulted the media at rallies, on Twitter and during press conferences.
Trump has referred to the media as "the enemy of the people" while also saying that the coverage of him and his administration has been "fake news.".
Here's what you need to know:.
A Trump Campaign Official Has Suggested that the Attacker Was Drunk.
Just attended my first @realDonaldTrump rally where my colleague BBC cameraman Rob Skeans was attacked by a Trump supporter.
The crowd had been whipped up into a frenzy against the media by Trump and other speakers all night #TrumpElPaso pic.twitter.com/Oiw8osPms3 — Eleanor Montague (@EleanorMontague) February 12, 2019 .
A Trump campaign official suggested that Skeans' attacker may have been drunk in a statement to the BBC.
Video of the attack shows the man saying, "CNN sucks" and "F*** You!" as he his dragged away.
To all those who asked after the cameraman – Ron is fine.
Thanks for asking # pic.twitter.com/JB7Tq21DX6 — Eleanor Montague (@EleanorMontague) February 12, 2019 .
A BBC spokesman told the Guardian, "The man was removed by security and Ron is fine.
The president could see the incident and checked with us that all was ok.
It is clearly unacceptable for any of our staff to be attacked for doing their job." The Guardian article mentions that as the man was being taken away, "some in the crowd" began to chant, "Let him go.".
Skeans' Producer Called it an 'Incredibly Violent Attack'.
Skeans was accompanied by BBC's Washington producer and correspondent, Eleanor Montague and Gary O'Donoghue.
Montague told the network that Skeans "got the brunt" of the Trump supporters attack and that he was eventually wrestled away by a blogger who was nearby.
Montague said, "It was an incredibly violent attack.
Fortunately, our cameraman is fine, he is made of stern stuff.".
Gary O'Donoghue also told the BBC, "This is a constant feature of these rallies – a goading of the crowds against the media." O'Donoghue went on to say that he has been "spat at" during previous Trump events.
Prior to the attack, Trump said, "We have suffered a totally dishonest media and we've won and it's driving them crazy, driving them crazy.
It's driving them crazy but look at them.
They still come.".
Skeans Has Worked for the BBC for 25 Years.
According to his LinkedIn page, Skeans has worked for the BBC since January 1994.
He has been a cameraman and editor with the network since January 2003 and is based in the Washington D.C.
Metro Area.
Skeans is listed as a member of the White House News Photographers Association.
On his Facebook page, Skeans says that he is from Dayton, Ohio and attended Meadowvale High School and the International School of Broadcasting.
Skeans Was on Scene at the Capital Gazette Shooting.
In June 2018, Skeans was one of the first reported on the scene at the Capital Gazette shooting in Annapolis, Maryland.
Jarrod Harris is alleged to have entered the newsroom and shot-and-killed five newspaper employees in a rage over a 2011 story about his alleged harassment of high school classmates.
The Columbia Journalism Review attributed that attack, in part, to President Trump's constant attacks on the media.
In the lead-up to the attack, Trump supporter Milo Yiannopoulos had texted reporters saying "can't wait for vigilante squads to start gunning journalists down on sight.
" Yiannopoulos later said the text messages were intended as a joke.
Protesters Repeatedly Tried to Disrupt Trump's El Paso Rally.
The attack on Skeans was not the only disruption during Trump's rally.
During the event, various protesters interrupted proceedings.
After one protester was removed, Trump said, "Where do these people come from? They go back to Mommy.
They get punished when they get home." Trump claimed that the local fire department had allowed 10,000 people into the 8,000 capacity venue.
The Guardian, citing a local fire official, said that 6,500 people were inside the rally.
Nearby, former Texas congressman Beto O'Rourke held a counter rally.

The Self-Care Revolution with Seyi Newell | TRiBE's Toolbox - Duration: 8:59.
Hi and welcome to TRiBE's Toolbox, where
you will find tips, tricks and stories by black women, for black women.
I'm Seyi and I'm the co-founder of TRiBE.
In this episode we are going to talk about Self-Care and I am going to talk about my
favourite pieces of advice from the TRiBE Self-Care Toolkit.
So, you've probably seen the term floating around but what is self care?
Self-care is the self-initiated maintenance of your overall health and well-being.
Basically, it's taking care of yourself.
Self-care is important for everybody but it's especially important for black women and girls
for a few reasons.
The first is that black women tend to put
everyone else before themselves it means that we can't be vulnerable, that we can't
ask for help.
For some people, another reason is the strong black women trope, that
a lot of black people in general buy into.
And again that means that, because we're having to be strong all of the time.
We can't, again, ask for help, we can't be vulnerable.
It means that we're always carrying a load on our backs that we can't put down.
The third reason is the notion that we have
to work twice as hard for half the reward.
And not only can that be problematic, that can have a strain on our self-care and our
wellbeing because it means that we're always working, that we never have an opportunity
to stop, we don't get to take breaks.
So, how do you know if you're neglecting
your self-care?
If you're not sure, take some quiet time for yourself and check in with yourself and
ask yourself some very simple questions but be as honest as you can:
How am I feeling today?
What do I look like?
Do I care?
What am I putting in my body?
How am I sleeping?
How is my social life?
How am I talking to myself?
Am I saying nice things?
Or am i saying things that are degrading?
Am I consciously aware of the things that I am saying and doing?
Why don't you pause the video now and write down your answers
to those questions?
So now that we've identified some areas that might need a little bit of work, here
are some small steps that you can take towards better self care.
The first thing you can do is start starting
and ending your day with gratitude.
Start saying out loud what you're grateful for.
Saying thank you out loud makes all the difference.
I used to take a piece of paper, a small piece of paper, everyday and write what I was thankful
for and pop it in a jar.
And at the end of the year, I'd empty that jar out and I would read all of the good
things in my life that I could be thankful for.
And that was a real boost to going into another year.
Try it and see if it works.
The second thing is to make some time for
yourself.
Set some time aside each week where you can have some quiet time and be alone with your
thoughts.
Thirdly, what are you watching?
What are you listening to?
Media, whether it's film, TV, music, social media, it all really has a big impact on us.
I know we all love a bit of Netflix but maybe take a break.
Go outside and explore and see what else speaks to you, see what else fulfils you, see what
else you enjoy.
Learn to say no without feeling guilty.
Chimamanda Adiche says: "No is a full sentence" and I agree.
And lastly, pay attention to who you surround
yourself with.
There's a saying that you become the average of the five people that you spend most of
your time with.
So maybe take some time and find your TRiBE.
So that's what I think but here's some advice from some of the other women in the
TRiBE Toolbox series.
Living your best life.
And doing things that serve you, doing things that make you happy but at the same time understanding
that there will be low periods and you need to understand how your body, your mind and
your soul works in order to balance and harmonise the scales.
In a society which continually tells us that we should overwork ourselves and exhaust ourselves,
making sure that you take care of yourself is a revolutionary act and that's particularly
important for black women because we're more likely to put others first, we're more
likely to be on the sharp end of work, or poverty, poor economic structures and laws.
So making sure that we're taking care of ourselves means that we can take care of the
people around us who matter the most to us as well.
Making sure that I'm doing the things so
that I can be the best.
Like, have I sorted everything else out?
Do I feel confident?
Do I feel prepared?
Do I not feel stressed?
Have I relaxed?
Am I doing everything so that, whenever the moment is, whether that be in my career or
with my friends or with my family, that I can be my best self.
For me, self-care is community care.
I don't think that it's possible to actually heal yourself without the support of your
community and without you kind of doing, each one, teach one and drawing strength from each
other and working collectively for the benefit of both ourselves and the community.
Protecting my energy. Being around people who love me and are in alignment with my higher self and generally
people around me who nourish me.
Being my authentic self at all times.
Whether that means wearing my hair a particular way, dressing a particular way or expressing
myself a particular way.
I've spent a lot of my years, caring about
what other people think about me, making other people happy, putting people before myself,
not being confident within myself… (ah, I feel like I'm going to get emotional).
Forgetting that, it doesn't matter what people say about me, it doesn't matter what
people say, I need to take control of my life, I need to care about me, I need to protect
my feelings, I need to protect me.
In this day and age, I think wellness and
self-care has become an industry where people are trying to sell you something.
So go here, go on this spa day, this expensive massage holiday and I think it's important
to realise that self-care doesn't have to cost you anything.
So simple things, like just sitting quietly by yourself, having a hot bath, reading a
book, writing in your journal are just as impactful as expensive spa days.
A bath.
Having a good old soak, having time to contemplate.
My mind is always racing, so having a really gentle space for me to allow my energy to
flow is the perfect form of self-care for me.
By saying no! (laughs) If I can't do something
I'm honest about it and I say no.
I don't feel guilt about not being able to make a dinner, to a birthday, if I need
to take time for myself, to rest, if I need to give myself a break, I say no and I feel
10-20x better for it each and every time.
I try to meditate even if its just for three
minutes in the morning, just to be in a calm space and when things are stressing me out
in the day, because I get quite anxious about things, that I can go back to that calm space
and see things like, everything is fleeting, trying not to get caught up or tangled in
the stress or the worry or the pressure of the moment.
One thing I do and I've always done is I
make sure that I go to sleep early and I wake up early.
So i always make sure that I get a minimum of six hours sleep and the way I'm able
to do that is by having a plan everyday of what I'm going to do, how many hours I'm
going to spend on it and just making sure that I follow through.
I love to laugh.
So I make sure that I find every single opportunity to laugh, through banter, through TV shows,
through anything, I will ben' at everything.
I mean, not everything, most things.
I try and pause.
We don't realise how pausing is so vital because quick shot reactions out of anger,
they can cause more damage than you think and there might be a lot of regret that comes
with that.
So my form of self-care that I'm really trying to work on because it's definitely
not perfect, is more pause.
